This one exists somewhere between the lines of immense friendship and beyond. motivated by how i felt in one of my childhood friendships, back when i had a “best friend!” and we did everything together, i constantly felt present, warm in my heart, and “this is it.” to find that anywhere is a real gift, and i knew it even at ten years old. i sometimes wonder if it were near romantic, because it gripped me just as intensely.

these two are in a record store, but that ultimately fades away in their own moment together. they fall into their own world together.

i often wonder how to return to a place like this with another person. unfortunately, it involves leaving the comfort of masking and trying to be something i’m not behind. it was easy after they moved on to think i did something wrong and try to change. but the only way a profound bond can reach me is if i’m truly myself, or else there’s no one real to reach to.
