Moving away from mediocrity

 Often in life we are told keep to the norm, be happy with what we have when we want more, and many other “helpful” tips for life that give us self-doubt.  However, we must remember that mediocrity lives in self-doubt, and we must be careful and vigilant to remove ourselves from this thought process. When we allow even the smallest parts of mediocrity into our lives we become creatures of comfort.

It is easy to understand that living with self-doubt and fears of failure is comfortable and safe. The problem is when we allow this type of “comfort” to exist in our life it causes us to stop pushing ourselves to be the best we can, and we stop achieving. Mediocre thoughts and people will always be around us and it is ok to be surrounded by mediocrity. The idea is to not fall into mediocrity, but to think about someone you look up to and think about what they would do in your position. Question is this all there is to life, and make it better.

Focus on making your passion into a reality. Many of us are scared of failure and we do not believe in ourselves to make our dreams a reality. However, remember some of the smartest minds in the world had a few failures too. It is what we do with these setbacks that help us to continue to step out of mediocrity and live our lives to their fullest.

If you feel you lack inspiration in your circle of friends, you can shift your circle to include friends who are aiming for more in life. By adding these people to your life, you will not only have people who will help you push yourself; you will be able to raise up and help others within your circle get out of mediocrity. Stepping outside of your comfort zone you will meet new people and have new experiences, and you never know what new adventure will await you.

 Be remarkable, be kindhearted, and be yourself.
