A “chusma” is vulgar, rude, classless person. Usually pretty tacky and with pretty bad manners. Kind of like #KimKardashian, but worse. “Chusmería" is the act of behaving like a chusma or used to describe a group of chusmas, which is appropriate because the literal meaning of the word is “rabble.” This picture reminds of an old story with one of my friends from high school. His name was Pepito (Seriously!). He was a nice kid. Went to #belenjesuit. One Saturday afternoon, I drove us home from a Saturday afternoon at the beach. Along the way, Pepito decided to pull down his pants and moon a little old lady in the car next to us. We were, at the time, stuck in a traffic jam on the McArthur Causeway. He just rolled down the window and stuck his ass right out the window. Como si nada. I can still see the veins on the old lady’s neck pulsing with outrage, still hear the sound of her furious voice as she screamed, “Chusmaaaaaaa!” That was pretty funny. Years later, I told my father that story. And to my surprise, his response was to wonder if the old lady used the term correctly. “Pepito was not a chusma,” said my father. “A chusma has no insight as to behavioral impropriety. Pepito knew mooning the little old lady was rude, and he did it anyway, because that’s what he did. Does Belen seriously expect me to file taxes and all that stuff for the MISERABLE SHIT they paid me this past summer? Like, they're obviously on some good shit if they expect me to do that. I'm so shocked right now i just can't believe they're actually doing this. Though i loved working there for the past three years, I finally realized this past summer how sneaky and deceiving those people are. I got paid BELOW minimum wage. I got paid $2 an hour and i definitely did more than enough work that deserved a better pay than that miserable crap. Belen is a private school here in Miami that I AM SURE has more than enough money to pay us more than that. They think that just because we're teenagers and we're doing the job just so that we can get some quick money that it's alright to do that. I'm pretty fucking sure it's illegal to pay us below minimum wage. I'm not going to lie, Belen did have a positive side to it. The counselors got a trip towards the end of the summer, and they had good food at the camp..but that was about it. Again,  I did like my job, and i met some pretty amazing people the past few summers...but the pay was shit. And now the fact that they expect me to file taxes for that miserable amount I got? It's just shocking. They have some big cojones to fucking do that. Whatever, i'm done. I AM 1297418947138596247946592387% DONE WITH BELEN. I honestly advise people to not work there again, because they will pull shit like this.
