This week's #ncbd arranged by anticipation. #justiceleagueofamerica is first because I really liked the Rebirth one-shots. #oldguard sounds interesting and it's Rucka, so it should be good. Both #wonderwoman arcs have been really good and I like how Cheetah's written. #supergirl #beingsuper's first issue was really good and a good modernisation of Supergirl (tho she did steal Clark's origin). #deathstroke has been good with Slade and his family drama, but the other plots are meh af. #descender's current arc has been really good and that twist yo! #outcast has picked up but STILL feels like we're in the first arc. #joyride feels rushed and Uma coming back an ISSUE after her death is a copout. This series is inconsistent af #detectivecomics' last issue was eh and I hate that Cass apparently saw her dad kill so much. Did Tynion learn nothing from Beechn?! Writing is just meh too. #theflash has been meh and Williamsons' Rogues are meh. #teentitans is genuinely bad and it needs a new writer. Percy's wtiting has ZERO subtlety or nuance and everything feels forced and not shown but told. #snotgirl tp because I really like this series, same for Wonder Woman and bc it has the issue that made me like her and read her older stuff. This week's #ncbd arranged by anticipation. #beingsuper has been an amazing ride and I'm sad to see it end. Hope it gets a sequel (if a sequel would make sense). Rucka's #wonderwoman run has been great, and I'm interested in how he wraps it all up. Hopefully succeeding writers don't mess it up, because it has been THE definitive WW run for me. #theflash has been good, even with some problems. Still need that West family reunion, though. #motherpanic has really picked up and I hope more of Violet's backstory is explored. #batmanelmerfudd is apparently good, but I was gonna get it anyway because of Tom King. #batwoman from last week. I still like the world and can't wait for Tynion to go away. Last issue of #godcountry from last week too. Not sure how things will go down, and kinda forgot what's happened, and I really didn't enjoy this series as much as others. Had some interesting ideas. Eh, dropped. #defenders has all the Bendis tropes and it has ptoblems just so it can be like the MCU and the villain is an idiot and Black Cat's boob nose is still hilarious. Exact same sentiment with #oldguard as with God Country. But I ain't reading a bunch of minis, Rucka, and this is easily the lwast grab-y of his works. Just not gelling for me. Dropped.
