tbh it has always struck me as weird how little whump fic there is these days. like if tga was around in 2008, we would've had 84787953 fics about oscar's beating, au's where he died and turned into a ghost and haunted john, au's where he had broken limbs, au's where he had to be nursed back to health by john (who would realise they should get back together etc), au's where he ended up in a coma, au's where he ended up with amnesia and forgot about The Break Up, au's where agnes did call the police and he ended up getting arrested for going to an underground gay bar, etc etc etc. like approx 25% of torchwood fic is about ianto getting beaten up during the cannibal episode! fandoms used to CRAVE whump. whatever happened??!
