Being ready for something is not the same thing as knowing what the right choices are before you need to make them. A person who is ready is not a person who has it all figured out in advance, but someone who’s willing to admit that their cleverest plans and preparations might fail, and decides to go forward anyways.

The difference between someone who is ready and who is not is this: a ready man starts their journey to some faraway place believing many things will go wrong before they go right, and a man who is not ready won’t even begin their journey down their own driveway because he can’t stand the thought of being seen walking in the rain without an umbrella.

You might be ready and not even know it

If you wait until you think you're ready, you could end up waiting for the rest of your life. Even if you're not ready for your final goal, you're always ready to take action.

Funny thing is, sometimes you might be ready and not even know it. I personally used to think that I wasn't ready for certain things and didn't seize the opportunities that were given to me simply because I thought I wasn't ready. I used to think that if I didn't have my degree that I wouldn't be able to get a good job and so I passed up a lot of opportunities. I also used to think that I had to get in shape before trying to pursue a relationship. Truth be told, I have passed up a lot of opportunities because of that.

Once you realize how much power you have over your reality simply by using your mind, you will realize that your opportunities are limitless and that you yourself are a truly limitless being just like the Universe that you live in.

Examining readiness again

Examining readiness again, and motivation, and basically tricking myself into doing things by leaping before I look.

It is always so irritating when a change of temperature brings a little cold. We’ve been having cooler weather here and I had the sore throat to prove it. Being sick increases my frequency of demotivation naps, where I can’t do anything but curl up and try to sleep the ugh away.

Drinking the Water

Whatever you do, wherever you go, remember, don’t drink the water.  Just always remember not to drink the water.  You can scrape the surface, you can go for a dip and try to let it in, but don’t drink.  When you drink it everything changes.  And that’s commitment.  That’s devotion.  In its entirety.  If you drink it you are committed 100%.  And everything is different.  With commitment there are consequences.  And you gotta be ready for them.
