Was recently discussing what I always thought was an odd feeling I just grew up with to understanding that odd feeling that was almost an imaginary friend that feels all too real’s name was #anxiety . When anxiety pours over, it’s easy to feel as if it’s reached out to you and encapsulates you in a wave from head to toe stopping you dead in your tracks . 🌊 like a roller coaster 🎢 you were somehow magically forced onto and have no idea how you got there; and you grab back at it, in hopes not to lose your footing and keel over... and you just hold on to the wave 🌊 until it’s passes through you like a heavy weighted apparition. Mix in a dash of PTSD and sometimes that wave feels more like a tsunami. The truth and #reality of my human-ness is not one I understood until recently and rarely do I discuss. It is definitely not my proudest of traits or Star-studded moments. Many times in the past, this internal struggle has in some ways made it take longer achieving the growth into the person I wanted to become. Now, with better understanding, when a wave hits, I’ll ride it through as best as I can, take a deep breath in- hold it- and out... Count 5-4-3-2-1 and push forward- onward- upward. If this speaks to you, remember, you can choose to let it encapsulate you dead in your tracks and allow it to win your mind and quit on yourself, pulling you mentally out to sea. Or you can face that wave head on, take a deep breath and hold it in (it helps🤍), ride that wave through, breathe out, face what’s in front of you and #move Just because you at first caught the anxiety handle, remind yourself you got that faith handle to reach out to.
