#photo diary#1 - love this image of Noodle.. such a weird angle that makes his head look entirely round like a puff ball or something#2 - a more recent (still from months ago) collection of my pressed flowers and 4 leaf clovers I found.#3. Being one of the only people in 2024 still going 'hee heee I've just bought a new wii game!' but.. I have. >:3#It's kind of like Wii Sports Resort but is like.. open world? so your character can actually walk around and stuff. REALLY makes me#wish I had the type of set up where I could record video from my wii and stuff like some gaming youtubers have. I think it'd be a really#fun game to play on video and to DOCUMENT it!!! I keep wishing I could screenshot my little guy walking around but I caaant..#I've literally just been taking out my phyiscal camera and photographing the screen which always looks bad.. augh..#4. Something in the froxen food aisle called 'Wellington Bites' a play on beef wellington. suprisingly good actually. but I guess anything#with like beef and mushrooms usually is. But it seems like.. oddly decent for frozen food stuff.#5 - boye looking Round again.. 6 - updated score in the wii fit minigame again. This time less than 4 seconds#for each round? which may be a record for me? 7 & 8 - fat bird in the snow. fatt bird in the SNOW!! Hoping that climate change and H5N1#don't eventually remove all trace of birds and winter weather from my life in the future... -_-#9 - ..ough... a few paltry writings.. Except for the one day of 4000 words. But for the most part I have been making soo litte progress#because of the holidays and drs appointments and such a rush of all these other mind distracting things.. Or if I'm not doing something the#I'm feeling tired from having PREVIOUSLY done something so I waste the whole day being sleepy and headachey... GRR...#the funny thing is that like many many years ago I wrote a note on my wall saying 'FOCUS! write 2hr a day or more or youre going to finish#your game in 2025!!!' - which back in 2018 when I wrote it was like unimaginably far into the future but now... ahem.. hem... I guess that#is quite literally the case LOL. To my credit I did parctically abandon it entirely since late 2019 and JUST now picked up really#trying to focus on it in mid 2024 but still... Clouds my beloved#Gr.. I just really want to wriiite. My new years hopes are to finish my game and to get stuff set up to start selling sculptures again.#AND then maybe do more game videos lol... I miss playing games. I dont think I've posted on that youtube for like 5 months#I've just had so much appointments and Things and Stuff and focusing so much on other projects. decided to play the heirs of fate dlc this weekend (ive been meaning to for awhile; admittedly my knowledge of it all comes from browsing the wiki, and i really wanted to experience the anankos characterization for myself). this isn't even the part i was excited to get to BUT I AM REELING OVER IT..........FOR REASONS I WILL DISCLOSE IN THE TAGS (from part iv: light's sacrifice)
#during shigure's explanation about why there's gaps in the kids' memories my brain IMMEDIATELY flipped to krad's post about whether --#gunter actually remembers how much he loved his family/is the revenge really for them or is it more so for his own satisfaction --#and like. OH MY GOD. IS IT NOT SO UTTERLY CRUEL THAT PERHAPS THE TRANSITION OF HIS REVENGE BEING FOR THEM ---> BEING SO FOR HIM WAS IN --#FACT BY ANANKOS' DESIGN ALL ALONG RATHER THAN JUST AN UNFORTUNATE SIDE EFFECT OF THE POSSESSION..........#gunter honey you may have been more under his thrall than you realized#this would totally align with how he's only able to tell corrin about his family once he's free from the possession. cuz anankos is no --#longer deliberately stealing his memories to make him more willing to act on his behalf.......ough........#of course i still think gunter purposefully indulged in that power from anankos.......latching onto it as an opportunity to exact his --#revenge without really being aware of all the consequences that would coincidence along with that#and of course this is just a lil tidbit for my own self insert lore but if anankos stealing memories is a thing he purposefully does to --#make his victims more malleable that would explain why he would not remember his time in askr or leigh upon returning to the world of --#revelation :''''') and perhaps it would slowly come back to him post game#teehee. having many thoughts. brain exploding. typical behaviour.#once again fates storytelling is fucking exceptional like is it not brilliant that the degenerating dragon who has lived among his people -#far longer than one likely should. and has been scorn by those ppl he so loved as now their memories of him are only full of fear and --#hatred. ends up stealing people's memories to make them more useful in his plan to destroy the world. much like how his own memories have -#been lost to time. and he is a victim to time just like anybody else. You been playing Elden Ring?
I have been! I haven’t finished my first playthrough yet (I’m pretty close to doing so though) but I’ve been absolutely loving it so far despite its challenges. (The challenge makes each triumph that much more satisfying in my opinion.) 10/10 would recommend.

#megaman starforce#is so…. easy….#it makes me a lil sad#I’ll never be that kid who spent years trying to beat the game and growing up with it steadily again#I don’t really know what point I’m trying to make w this#I guess I’m just mourning my childhood and youth/the naivety innocence simplicity of the past#I guess it’s just bittersweet to look back and see how much I’ve changed in 10 years#we’re barely the same person anymore-we don’t even have the same name#it’s just this love for this moderately unpopular niche within a niche game that connects us#I still think the game aesthetics and setting are the coolest fucking thing on earth ok#on another note the story in sf1 is just so peak#ryucoded af I really did not expect that. kid me wouldn’t have related but the present me sure does#it’s funny… returning to a childhood game-a gift that my kid self gives me to in the future-and finding myself in it too#it reminds me a lot of the things I used to love/I still love them but it’s been a while since I’ve thought abt it#I was pretty into Danny phantom too growing up#I really loved stories of heroism and kid heroes having to hide their identities#actually I was huge into dp I watched it every night without fail#if I had found the dp fandom earlier I would most definitely be a different person#kid heroes-> it’s kinda messing me up actually oh man geo is ELEVEN 😭he really is just a kid…#I too used to be 11 like him and had childish dreams about being a hero#guess you lose the magic and delusions of grandeur when you get older and reality sets in#another reason I’m glad I played mmsf as a kid#I’m trying desperately to find the mmsf amv and let’s play that I used to watch as a kid but ough#I found some but not all…. was it removed…?#sad 😔😔it’s a part of my childhood that will only exist in my memories I suppose#ough at the end of it all I just sincerely wish this game had gotten more love#fandom so small I can’t even find people to talk to#if anything I’m glad that at the very least the story was wrapped up nicely by sf3#and the fact that it’s the last game before their hiatus just makes it slightly funny. MY HEART AND SOUL FOR THESE FUCKIN CRITTERS.#i adore the character custom options. currently im playing as a wolf. the outfit pieces r awesome.#i change my outfit like. every other level. i cant pick just one theyre all so neat looking#i also love that u can change ur character's colors after u start. its not locked into ur original choice.#AND THE WEAPON OPTIONS ?????? INCREDIBLE. THEYRE SOOOOO FUCKIN COOL#truthfully i am not a fan of the classic sonic levels. the controls arent my favorite.#BUT i do like the other sonic levels. and the ones where ur both ur own character AND sonic at the same time ???? amazing#sonic t hedgehog is my best friend fuck awffffff we jus vibin we besties now

i love when stories play with narrative tropes
#this is unsurprising based on the bullshit i’ve been on for…. almost a month now i think?#anyways this is why i love tsp and its fanfic#some of my FAVORITE fic is a 3rd-person limited on stan#but the NARRATOR is 3rd person omniscient (1st person omniscient?) and is able to understand stanley’s thoughts and motivations#OUGH that goes so hard#we only see what he does or signs but the narrator divulges more information???? that fucking Owns#like!!!! it’s so cool!!!!!!#i mean obvi the base media itself plays with shit like that a Ton it’s kinda the core premise#but it’s different from game to writing. different mediums different rules to bend#and it’s SICK either way

Currently sobbing I just remembered the fact that Shuichi repeats some of Kaito's lines in trial six ⭐
#tears actual tears auuuughhhh#when I first played trial 6 I had to take a pause for both of these lines because of how emotional I was when he said kaito's lines#like...holy fuck this trial just cemented that he's the most emotional I've ever gotten over a character PERIOD.#tearing up every time he opens his mouth here wouldn't even be too big of an exaggeration#you just KNOW kaito meant so much to him (not just in a shipping sense I promise-) and that's what makes this mean so much#HE'S GROWN SO MUCH TOO AUUUUUGHHH#the ch 1 saihara I know could NEVER and it's wonderful that he's done so much and changed (thanks a lot in part to kaito)#HIS DEVELOPMENT IS SO IMPORTANT TO THIS GAME I SWEAR it's everything#and godd the gravity behind the fact that saihara is saying kaito's lines is just so great#shuichi saihara#kaito momota#saimota#drv3#drv3 spoilers#(if I could get my thoughts in order and finally finish that saihara essay I've been wanting to make OUGH#also would love to try to eloquently talk about the best trial in the game sometime. cough)

something i can’t stop obsessing about is how shadow criticizes and belittles sonic for treating everything like a game, for not taking things seriously, for acting without thinking, or for thinking all the wrong things and acting accordingly.
BUT.
shadow is a player just like sonic. all the fighting they did, shadow got a lot of amusement out of it. it‘s the most expressive we see him EVER and it’s because he knows he’s winning. he loves winning.
im just. ough. they are just such mirrors. such. two sides of the same coin.
sonic plays because it’s fun to play. he loves the unknown, he loves not knowing what comes next and he loves being surprised and the challenge of having to adapt. he plays to experience the game.
shadow plays because he wants to win. he loves being superior, he loves knowing what comes next and most of all if what comes next is his victory and/or his opponents failure(s). he plays to win, and to win only. if there’s no way to win, to be crowned superior, then he’s not interested in the game. however, the game also needs to be challenging, which is why he loves fighting sonic. sonic is a challenge to be overcome and he gets a kick out of the slight uncertainty if he might not be able to win, but at the same time, wining against sonic is such a great accomplishment he relishes the challenge in their fights.
that is why hes smiling and smirking and posing and doing stupid jokes at sonic. he’s mocking him and flaunting his superiority. he could’ve been done with him faster, maybe, but it’s fun to play; and to rub his superiority into the fakers face (literally. he used sonic as a fucking surfboard on the ground. face down.).
because if he doesn’t do that, then what is he? the average life form? the normal hedgehog?
