Beedle and Boug

There he stood, shaky hands clutching onto a good sum of rupees as for a bundle of bananas. But now that he was here, it all felt too real. Was Beedle really second guessing himself now? Now that he had found the frog statue? All he'd have to do would be to just drop his offerings in the stone bowl and he'd be done with it. But was it really worth it? He swallowed hard, closing his eyes to think of the prick that had drove him here in the first place. And remembering his face sure helped make that decision easier.

Steeling himself, he finally let go of the payment and it didn't take long for a Yiga novice to reveal himself from a puff of smoke. Twirling one of their infamous sickles in his no doubt skilled hands, he bowed down with it behind his back and asked. “Who's the mark?” He wasted little time, but Beedle hesitated. “...Horace... About medium height, blonde... He should be on his way to Akkala.” The novice nodded. “Anything else I'd need to know?” Beedle dug into a pocket, producing a small pouch. “I'm... willing to pay extra, if you were to get me something from Horace's possession.” “What is it?” “A beetle.”

Silence.

“You serious?” The novice asked, professional demeanor and posture gone. “Dead serious.” Beedle confirmed, now firmer on his conviction. “Look, man, I get it, but-” “Listen! It's a Stagnox beetle!” “A WHAT? Aren't those from like three kingdoms over?” “They are!” Beedle said, barely able to contain his growing excitement. “Super rare. They don't come close to Hyrules green pastures!” “It's not even their breeding season!” “I know right? I'd give anything to see one, but that jerk wouldn't let me have a peek!” The novice let an indignant gasp, before he readied his weapon. “Yeah, no, okay, I'll get you that bug. That one's on me!” Beedle's eyes shimmered in awe, whispering a quiet “Thank you” as the novice stomped off to find his target.
