Wild thing about Bedknobs and Broomsticks is that the cartoon animals were "Doctor Moreau"ed into existence by a wizard and then murdered the wizard and stole his powers, which is an insane backstory for cartoon animals playing soccer that is never mentioned again and I ADORE IT.

Seriously, it's really big.

You know what else is big? This movie's heart. There's two types of people out there. Those who like Mary Poppins, and those who like Bedknobs and Broomsticks, and while I prefer Mary Poppins, there's no denying that Bedknobs and Broomsticks is an excellent film.

It's basically The Sound of Music meets Sword in the Stone with a scoop of Where Eagles Dare, it juggles so many tones and settings that it's impossible to be bored, and at the center of it all is a very enjoyable cast, headed by Angela Lansbury and David Tomlinson.

Great movie, one of the greats even. You should definitely check it out.
