[Image Description: Two fan-made Pokemon based on the blue tick hound breed of dog.
The first Pokemon is a dog-like Pokemon resembling a blue tick hound puppy. Its body is mostly dark blue with a lighter blue stomach and brown parches on its paws, muzzle, and the tip of its tail. It has a dark blue nose and big brown eyes, and it is sticking its tongue our and holding one paw up from a sitting position. Its front paws are clumpy-looking as though coated in thick mud. Blue test outlined in beige to the right of the image reads "Mudwelp".
The second Pokemon is a dog-like Pokemon resembling a blue tick hound. Its head is dark blue with a light brown muzzle and brown eyes, while its body is lighter blue with dark blue ripple-like patterns and light brown patches on its paws and tip of its tail. It has one paw up, as though about to stand in a "point" pose. Blue test outlined in beige to the right of the image reads "Beckhound".

Mudwelp - Muddy Pup Pokemon - water/ground Mudwelp are known for digging in anything, from flower beds to sand boxes, though its favorite digging spots are the muddy shores of waterways. Tidy Trainers should probably avoid catching this Pokemon. / Mud builds up around this Pokemon’s paws as it prefers to dig in shallow river beds rather than practice swimming. As it grows, it becomes more confident in attempting to swim in deeper waters.
Beckhound - River Dog Pokemon - water/ground This Pokemon’s webbed toes make it an exceptional swimmer. That along with its loud call make it a perfect companion for fishers and hunters alike. / Its ripple-like spot pattern allows it to blend into flowing water. Out of the water, this Pokemon is a loyal companion and loves greeting new potential friends with its loud braying bark.
More Cantessy Pokemon and AAAAAAAAA we've already reached my favorites ;w; Of course I'd add a dog Pokemon, not only is "dog" a common Pokemon theme but this is ME we're talking about! Look at the username here people! ;P So yeah, Mudwelp and Beckhound are based on blue tick hounds, cuz they're a pretty popular breed in these parts. I decided to take the coloration of the blue tick, those dark and brown patches, and use that as the basis for their typing. And lil Mudwelp has muddy clumpy pawbs! ;w; Aaaaa I'm so proud of these two! They'd probably be more physical attackers with some good speed, if I'd have to hazard a guess. I'm not entirely sure just yet, right now I'm just experiencing Dog-Induced Euphoria, hehe.
Reminder that if anyone wants to suggest moves for any Cantessy Fakemon to learn and some physical stats where I haven’t yet figured them out, feel free to throw ‘em at me :3 Links to their info pages will be provided in the replies!

"Hey, glad you could make it through! Those jet-skis were fun, weren't they? Yeah, Cantessy may not be known for oceans, but our rivers and lakes are just as amazing as the open sea. I kinda hafta say that, working with the boats and all, but it's true and I'd say it regardless! And the Pokemon in those rivers and lakes are amazing too! Ready to see exactly what I mean about that?"
Here's Pokemon Circuit's second Gym Leader! We've got plenty of rivers, lakes, and gorgeous waterfalls around here, which is what the town of Rosin Falls was partly inspired by in the first place. And what's a bunch of flourishing waterways without some boating?
In Circuit Version's Rosin Falls Gym, you'll face off against the water-type specialist Reed. He runs quite a few of the boats often rented out to tourists in the Rosin Lake area, this lake being what created the Rosin Falls and gives the nearby town its name. He can often be seen on one of these boats out on the water, a harmonica in hand and his trusty Beckhound by his side. And when he's not on the water outside of the gym, he's on the water in the gym, and you will have to be too if you want to reach him. You'll have to borrow a jet-ski and navigate a water maze filled with other Trainers on jet-skis, and eventually you'll get to the dock where he's waiting for you.
Reed may be a water-type specialist, but he does have a little bit of variety in his team to keep you on your toes a bit. He has a Splashrat at level 21 that might be a little easier to deal with than the others, a Gyarados at level 23 that's obviously a toughy, and finally his Beckhound at level 25 who he'll join in with for Union Battle. After becoming Champion, you can rematch Reed with a higher-leveled full team of six: Seismitoad, Muskrill, Vaporeon, Whiscash, Gyarados, and Beckhound.

[Image Description: A woman with lightly tanned skin, a green dyed undercut, reddish-brown eyes, and eyebrow piercings. She is wearing a green tunic-style shirt with a darker green lower half akin to an abstract representation of forest treetops, a khaki vest with yellow and white reflective strips across the chest and a silver Pokeball emblem, light pants, and brown hiking boots. She is holding a red and white Pokeball in one hand and the other is placed on the back of her Pokemon, Rapidash. Rapidash is a large horse-like Pokemon with a pale coat, orange and yellow flames in its mane and tail, dark blue hooves, red eyes, and a unicorn-style horn. The background is a pixellated image of a room with a large window looking out onto a setting sun with clouds. There is a circle pattern on the ground colored to represent the Pokemon types, the specific ones visible having matching emblems for fire, water, grass, and electric types. End ID.]

"Hello again, Trainer. I hope you're not too surprised to find me here, in this room, where the Champion is meant to be waiting for you. You're a smart kid, so I'm sure you've already guessed. Yes, I am indeed the Champion of the Cantessy Region. I like to keep an eye on any beginner Trainers I come across on my non-League work, and something about you and your friends stood out as being pretty special. Glad I'm going to get to fight at least one of you. Well then, why don't we get started? Are you ready to put everything you've got into this? You'd better be, because when I battle I refuse to hold back!"
It's finally come down to your greatest Cantessy challenge, the one everything has been leading up to. You've encountered Caroline every so often along your journey. She helped to save one of your rivals from galling off Nature's Bridge. The two of you had a pleasant chat while crossing the Ruby River. She upgraded your bike at the Pelipsi Gorge. And now you're here, meeting her in her true role. While she definitely is a nature conservationist, Caroline is also the Cantessy League's current reigning Champion. This is a once-in-a-lifetime moment, two of Cantessy's strongest trainers coming together in a challenge of strength and wits. Who will come out on top? I know who my money's on :3c
Caroline, like most League Champions, has a strong team and balanced in terms of type match-ups, and while I'm sure you would as well long by this point, it's still going to be incredibly challenging. She has a level 55 Hedeomadon, a level 57 Beckhound, a level 59 Bulkat, a level 60 Tauros, a level 61 Frostinal (female), and a level 63 Rapidash who she will join with for Union Battle. After you've become Champion yourself and re-fought the Elite Four, her team's levels will be boosted by ten.
...Y'know, funny story, I was only reminded about Muhammad Ali being from Kentucky after I'd planned out (nearly) all of the human characters, including Caroline here, and it was also then that I learned of his nickname of The People's Champion. Looking back, I prolly coulda made a trainer based on him, either the fighting-type one if I wasn't so set on making the UK basketball reference or even the champion. Unfortunately I did not think of or know these at the time, so instead I'm just gonna reference him in Cantessy history. The first Cantessy League champion in the region's lore is gonna be based on him, and he would've had a Cantessian Machamp as his ace. Now there's a statue in Louifort (the place where you fight the Elite Four and Caroline) in memoriam to them :3

[Image Description: A woman with brown skin, dark brown/blue/red coily hair in a ponytail, and red and blue lipstick and matching painted nails. She is wearing a yellow and white crop-top hoodie, a yellow set of headphones connected to a red MP3 player attached to a blue belt with a yellow buckle, a red and blue bracelet, a golden miniskirt, turquoise capri-length shorts, and red zip-up boots and blue soles. She has a red and white Pokeball in her hand and is pumping her free hand into the air. Beside her is a fan-made Pokemon that resembling Pikachu, based on a meadow jumping mouse. It has a yellow body with brown cheeks/inner ears/belly/hands and feet. Beige ginger roots grow from its cheeks and the end of its long tail, and small green leaves grow from its eyebrows and back. It is jumping up and also pumping its little fist into the air. The background is a pixelated image of a lightning bolt striking through dark clouds. End ID.]

"Woo! I'm feeling hype tonight! What about you, trainer? This is your fourth Gym challenge, right? The name's Gina, and I use brilliantly flashy electric-type Pokemon! They're the only type able to keep up with my energy levels on the dance floor! Think you can keep up with us?"
Here's Pokemon Circuit's fourth Gym Leader! Partly a reference to a local soda, partly just a fun design that kept popping in my head hehe.
In Circuit Version's Corwains Gym, you'll face off against the electric-type specialist Gina. A party girl who had the business savvy to be given the role of Sitrupep Ale's newest CEO, Gina's got the smarts for both sales and battling. And thankfully she's able to still be herself in the process, as the gym is a dance club in the basement of the Sitrupep headquarters. You're going to have to make a path to get to Gina though, and to do that you'll have to navigate through the club to find switches that will move floor tiles, eventually leading her to the part of the club where she waits. (and also if this were an actual game, there would be a guy outside of the gym door who asks whether or not you're sensitive to flashing lights, and your answer would change the intensity of the neon club lights or remove them entirely, accessibility ftw)
You might have a bit of an advantage if you have Kinedle or nearly any ground-type. Her level 31 Flaaffy will probably go down easy to a ground-type, as well as her level 35 Magneton. It's when you get to her level 35 Shohoga that she'll join for a Union Battle where that ground-type won't be quite as useful, especially if it's a Beckhound or also part rock, as its secondary grass type will lead to it learning moves that will probably wipe those out. After you become the champion, you can rematch Gina with her full team of Jolteon, Ampharos, Magnezone, Bulkat, Kantonian Raichu, and Shohoga. And yeah, specifying the Raichu because both Kantonian and Alolan variants are here, hehe.

Reed Irving
A boater who works with tourists in the areas surrounding Rosin Falls and Rosin Lake. Reed is enthusiastic and personable, thriving on making people happy and helping them enjoy themselves comfortably on the waterfront. He’s also keen to play a little tune on his harmonica both on and off the job, just to keep the mood light. His harmonica playing is actually a factor of him being involved with a bluegrass band started up by a few friends. However, as Reed is not necessarily known for harmonica playing, he finds it hard to imagine himself playing in front of a crowd even as they’re about to make a serious debut soon...
-----
Rosin Falls’ other gym leader, Reed! He’s probably gonna end up being one of the simplest designs for the humans in this project, but simple designs are just as good as--if not better--than complex designs depending on the situation :3
Reed’s version of Rosin Falls’ gym is themed around water-types and has an opening that extends into the location’s waterways. To get to Reed, the challenger would have to navigate a water maze while riding on a jetski. His initial team would have a Splashrat (a Fakemon themed after muskrats), a Gyarados, and a Beckhound (a Fakemon themed around blue tick hounds, and omg I can’t wait to show you this one and especially its prevo Mudwelp they are wonderful).
