Apocalypse! Yuu-
Zombie apocalypse happens then yuu is sent to twst. Is very flinchy, traumatized, and cautious. I like to think they're from the beginning stages of the apocalypse before they're sent to twst. So they aren't as hostile and distant from people because they haven't really seen the horrors other people are capable of. Do you think they would get really attached to Crowley cuz he gave them a roof over their head and a (relatively) safe place to stay. Despite the unintentional trouble they cause. I know for a FACT that grim is their emotional support monster. He doesn't have a choice. Or if they are from later in the apocalypse timeline they would be pretty jaded, hostile, and always waiting for the other shoe to drop. Grim would still be by their side 24/7 not only for emotional support but since they don't really have way to protect themselves they default to grim. I think that unlike begining stage yuu, this yuu is very handy when it comes to repairing clothes and building in general. How do you think they would deal with ace the night he gets hit with riddles UM?
How does everyone react to this dirty little food hoarding, obviously traumatized gremlin? What about world building wise, is this apocalypse au set in the idea that everyone is infected. Or do you have to get bitten or zombie flesh or fluid get on your wounds to actually turn? Do we know how that everyone is infected? Do we accedentaly infect others? Do we spread the virus? Or does it not spread because of some magic imbued immune system of Twst denizens?

Like, don't mind me, of course Valentino is picked a lot pre-Sepang. Dani is chosen at least once in 2013 (of course) and some more after that. Jorge I need to put more thoughts into (I don't see it in 2013 but later on yes, just undecided on when).
I think Dovi is probably the first guy Marc picks not because he's an idol or a rival but simply because he wants him. I'm not choosing the specific race but Marc has 13 wins in 2014, there is room to work with.
I think that easily, Dovi becomes Marc's crutch or default choice when he needs things to be easy. Like he understands the mechanics of the WR and how to use them but sometimes you just want it easy and nice and Dovi is always a guaranteed nice time.
I don't want to think about the Rosquez timeline yet (threw some things around back in January but this is asking my brain too much right now) but Marc definitely pick Dovi to spite Valentino (is he aware he's trying to make him jealous? I would think yes, for the most part). Dovi is very much aware but that's never been an issue.
As I mentioned yesterday, 2017-2019 WRs are such fun times for them. After races like Austria 2017 and Austria 2019, Marc is already jumping on Dovi the second he's walking into the room, not even waiting for Dovi to tell him what he wants. Very much having fun and vibing, like you said.
There is definitely a Dovi win where he keeps Marc from touching him and edges Marc on forever, just because he can.

Always of the opinion that we were cheated with Jason's lacking involvement with Haley. Specifically with 'Bitewing,' because that has Jason's wit all over it. So let's make an AU of that:
Specifically - roommate!AU
Where Dick and Jason are really just roommates (who happen to toe boundaries and flirt for fun. A lot.)
Basically, they're cool. Casual. Their relationship is better than its ever been (not just because they're little mutual flirts and Jason is thriving because of it) and it's a good time.
Side tangent: Jason settling so quickly and finding a newfound confidence with consistent companionship. All the bluster and bravado, fake-it-til-he-makes-it falling away to something more genuine because Dick is Dick and is just one of those people that gives confidence by association? Idk, but it's a positive impact that Jason doesn't even realize for a long while until he does and it's ;U;
But yeah, sometimes they work together, other times not. Always, always Jason is a nag about Dick's abysmal work hours and lack of care towards himself though. It's not necessarily a fight, but Jason gets sassy with it because if Dick doesn't want Jason taking care of him, then do it himself. )<
Dick turning this sort of argument around on Jason all the time as they flirt banter. Jason doesn't want Dick looking out for him/watching his back, then do it himself (which Jason puffs up because he's always prepared, to which Dick scoffs because yeah, sure, with a deathwish and Jason laughing because yeah, stop projecting bigbird i'll fight you and so on and so forth). Jason also doesn't want Dick treating him nice? Do. It. Himself. ;)
It's a good situationship. They challenge each other in the way they need to be challenged and surprisingly? Jason kind of loves it that way (because for once, it's mutual and fair)
That love of challenging and being challenged goes by the wayside the day Dick up and comes home with a dog
And it's not that Jason is scared of dogs, he just...has a consistent experience with them.
Experiences that make his knee jerk reaction of jumping over the back of the couch to shield himself completely warranted and valid
(Because, headcanon: it wasn't just stray kids and vagrants living on the streets. Starved, abused dogs? Just as vicious as any human).
Jason flustering because, 'what's that?'
'A dog.'
Were it not for Dick's guard dog (a three legged puppy), Jason would throw down and that'd be the end of Dick. Jason knows how to hide a body, damn it
'No shit. Why're they here? In our apartment??'
To which Dick goes into the harrowing story of how he saved this dog from being chased down and abused and Jason glowers because wtf don't just regurgitate Jason's life story to him and expect him to empathize, manipulative son of a-
Only Jason does [empathize] because puppy eyes (from Dick, the dog, or both - reader's choice)
Anyway, Dick picking up that Jason is scared of dogs and teasing him about it because it's wildly unexpected and goes against Jason's image in a comical sort of way
Of course Jason denying being scared of anything. Adamantly. Because he's not, he's just learned to be wary. Dick shouldn't be so trusting all the time, the ass l<
Which, yeah. Maybe. Though trusting and choosing to take risks has landed Dick with a whole lot of good in his life *pointed looks and smirks at Jason*, just sayin'
Which is like, such an underhand punkass thing to say, the bastard. It's so disarming that Jason can do little more than crouch behind the couch to hide his blush and glower and grumble in protest because 'stfu.'
Honestly though, Dick being at a loss on what to do. Though Dick supposes he can probably call Damian. Or Clark, maybe.
But Dick looks so bummed about it. Because for pragmatic as Dick can be, he's by default a fucking sap. Ain't no way Dick hasn't already emotionally adopted this dog as his own. Separating them not feels like such a dick move.
But it's fine. Jason can use this to his advantage. Aside from having one over on Dick for the future, Jason can certainly bargain with Dick needing to adjust his unbearable work schedule now. Because having a dog is a responsibility.
Finally, proper work hours and post-work hours and-
Only not because it's Jason's unemployed, homebound ass that gets saddled with looking after this hellhound
Dick being tentative about leaving Jason with her given Jason's not-traumas and fears, but Jason insists that it's fine even while trying to subtly hide behind a pillow that he fluffs to hide the fact that he's looking for shields here
Dick insisting that the dog is sweet, seriously.
'Yeah, so am I.' Jason would retort with bared teeth. 'Get gone and get back before I'm not.'
At which point Jason is left alone with a source of one of his many traumas.
And is marginally healed of it by the time Dick returns because this little angel ends up adoring him hahaha
That first hour being spent with Jason sitting curled up on the couch and the dog just sitting on the rug in front of him. Staring. Then laying down and staring. And Jason tries to ignore them. Working on a case or reading a book but the staring ffs. Every time Jason peers around whatever he's doing, the dog just watches him.
But then she wags her tail and Jason is a little endeared and ugh, fine
Basically Dick coming home to find Jason sitting on the couch with the puppy sleeping on his chest and Jason being all soft eyed and content because he's been chosen. Also, look at those little paws on his pecs? Adorable.
Dick snickering because paws? Adorable. Pecs? ԾᴗԾ
(Also: this is definitely his dog. Dick would love to gets his hands on Jason's tits, too).
Dick sitting next to them and asking after Jason's day. Which was good, thank goodness. Jason asking after Dick, too. To which Dick laughs and admits it couldn't have been as nice as theirs, but it was fine. Just casual and easy and domestic. //u///
Jason lighting up because he thought of a name.
Which Dick doesn't discourage him from even though they'd previously discussed only looking after her until they found a proper home.
It's sweet how attached Jason got, how proud he is when he turns to Dick with a brilliant smile and titters: 'Haley 'Bitewing' Grayson-Todd'
Dick having any number of playful, ornery retorts ready, only they all die in his throat because he's so caught off guard just- what?
He has one of those reboot moments because: Haley? Bitewing? Hyphenated last names!? It's too much for Dick's heart, just. Ffffffff.
This is the moment Dick realizes he might love this man.
But for the moment, Dick laughs and Jason preens as Dick scratches behind Haley's ears and catches Jason's gaze and tells him it's perfect and Jason gets a little timid, but loves on their pup too
And their fingers brush and it's !!! with awkward laughs as they pull away and ahhhhhhhhh

Gave up on lining this not even halfway through but uhhh Sun Moon and Eclipse in our AU! Specifically a later part in one of our fics (which we haven't gotten to yet but we wanna get to it SO BAD but we have to write the first part first,,, suffering)
We wanna talk about it so spoilers for "Lost and Found" below!!
So this is after RUIN where like. robots rights activists get clearance to salvage the animatronics from the pizzaplex and restore them! And they get jobs and stuff to help integrate them into wider society. I think we've been back and forth on whether Eclipse was always there or Cassie's reboot glitched and created them.... leaning towards the latter tho. They all wind up actually working at a daycare by their own choice bc they genuinely love the work and are now actually getting paid for it! which is a terrifying thought for them for a while.
outfits! They only had a couple of plain outfits at first but after a while Sunny built up a wardrobe for them! He's very careful to make sure there's clothes all of them like. Sun likes colors!! Practicality is secondary. Moon prefers comfier clothes but still likes to match with Sun hence the shirts and cardigans. He likes clothes that let him be flexible because he shows kids in the care center how to do yoga and stuff. Also who needs shoes if you don't go outside (too bright). Eclipse tries to be presentable but otherwise they're not sure what they like yet!
( Also to be clear they all still share a body in this AU so they have to be considerate of each other. This is also a Sun x Moon story because that's default for us unless we're doing like a TSAMS fic or something. F in chat for Eclipse perpetually third-wheeling. )

Quick question about Raphael, could you please give us some more insight on him? He's always portrayed as positive and "we can do this" in Spite of his brothers reluctance, how is this boi actually doing?
raphael's emotional state is actually pretty interesting, as he is basically made to be the one that acts as an anchoring force for the others. in this way, he's very difficult to actually wear down, with his positivity ingrained into his very being as an angel and essentially where he operates from as a default. that being said, i think his current situation in the au is what has been able to truly shake him for the first time (barring the war in heaven, when he was still rather young) and everything raphael relies on externally to help him maintain has collapsed. it obviously began with god's death, enough to make the whole of heaven unbalanced, but the deterioration of his family has multiplied that far beyond its initial impact - uriel fell into his coma, michael abandoned them, and gabriel was worked to the point of falling. as it stands, these issues are at best half-resolved as their family reconnects, leaving raphael in the middle of a complete mess that he doesn't have god to fall back on in while he tries to process a lot of pain and conflicting interests. so. he's. kinda actually stressed out for once.
however, like i alluded to in the ask about how the brothers might show their appreciation for him, he doesn't want anyone to know that he's beginning to buckle, and there's several reasons for that. the first is inherent, that this is part of his role as an angel and to fail at your fundamental work is a great shame to the host of heaven. the second is how he feels he's the last one still standing, that while he's taken several hits emotionally, he's really all they've got to hold them together considering what's happened to the other three beside him. the third and final ties into the second, that raphael simply feels he hasn't earned feeling stressed - gabriel has fallen and now must reside in hell, uriel has no more work to be done and can't seem to fully recover his consciousness, and michael now carries on all his previous responsibilities in a dead body. what does raphael have to complain about? it's just him. as he always was. he's okay. he hasn't been hurt the way they have, hasn't lost so much the way they have. of course it's hard for them, look at all the suffering they're each going through, the least he can do is be a soft place to fall for them all when he's come out so unscathed. he needs to fulfill his role now more than ever, yet he knows more and more he's running off of his own personal store of positivity. it refuses to give out, but it's proving to not be enough when he's asked so many times to provide it. and all he can feel is an ever-growing guilt.
however...i do think this works its way to a very much needed breaking point for raphael, because a key point of his personality is that he's painfully non-confrontational - if he ever had problems with someone, he inevitably would tattle on them to michael or gabriel so they could sort them out lol but now, he obviously doesn't have that option, and for the good of all of them he sort of...needs to allow himself to get angry. because he has been left to bear the brunt of all this emotional pain, because this comes at the end of possibly centuries of him doing this exact same work for a grieving heaven. raphael really hasn't been given his chance to mourn, to break down, to give space to all the negative emotions that have built up in this chaos. and in a way, he does feel so left behind. they all left him, and while he understands the choices they made, he can't stand how broken they've become - and so he loses his temper, though his anger is largely focused on michael. his insistent dogma is destroying their family and himself, he's so badly needed in heaven but he's totally preoccupied on restoring the punishments of hell. he must let go, he must see what's most important now is achieving whatever sense of peace they can. stop fighting gabriel, stop trying to kill his robot, and stop making it your personal mission to see every little torment of hell reinstated!!!! heaven should be michael's priority, rebuilding and helping the citizens adjust to so much newfound freedom. hell is beside the point!!! the prince of heaven needs to be in heaven!!!!
gabriel and uriel think for a minute they'll get off free, but they don't once michael's given enough to think about (it's a lot to be yelled at by raphael, who's never so much as raised his voice) gabriel NEEDS to stop antagonizing michael, he's absolutely belligerent and often challenges his belief in god which he KNOWS is going to inflame him!! fair enough that michael started it, but gabriel's absolutely let his temper get the best of him when it comes to how he's handled michael (gabriel's ready to offer a myriad reasons, but raphael sternly tells him he will hear him out later!!) and uriel has been far too silent altogether - raphael knows he agrees that what michael's doing is wrong, but he hasn't confronted him a single time. like i previously talked about too, uriel is likely closest with michael at this point and often spends time with him, so he knows his opinion is valuable not only in their relationship to each other but for his wisdom. raphael doesn't really get into his own feelings on the matter, but he says more than enough when he makes it clear he will no longer facilitate their implosion. unless they want true progress toward harmony and reconciliation, he wants no part in it. he's pretty much exhausted after taking such a stand and likely does later apologize for any harsh words, but his points all stand regardless. they can see raphael's not holding together as he once was (how could he) and they can see too they're all reaching a point of no return. while it should be obvious, raphael has made it clear this has gone far beyond any past bickering, and they need now to make the decision to remain a family or see what they have left collapse.

Wondering your thoughts on something I’ve noticed a lot in the Sandman fandom - namely, that every fanart or fanfic involving Daniel (based on the show!!) always portrays/describes him as white, despite the fact that show!Danny’s dad is a black man…
i think there's a few factors at work. first (and foremost) people trying to incorporate bits of the comix in the absence of "official" casting (almost every fanart and a lot of fanfics defaulted to Destruction as a white, red-haired man before the actor was announced). Danny in the comix is a blonde baby and then a sort of...ghostly amalgam of a young man who never existed and Morpheus as we knew him (disheveled hair, gaunt figure, sharp cheekbones, dark eyes). what would that look like in the show? i don't know! i'm hoping there's at least a nod to Daniel's human parentage (he's blonde in the comix BECAUSE he's Lyta Hall's son, and in the comix she's blonde), but i think there are a few ways that it could be cast. Danny!Dream as mixed, light-skinned, and/or racially ambiguous could be both really tragic and really compelling: the erasure of where he came from as metaphor for his personal losses (of family, of childhood, of "personhood" in a human sense), and the insistence on some reminder of his parents, his past, as a counter to his "function." i'd love to see that explored in fic! (as someone who also defaults to comix!Daniel - though there IS a reasoning behind this choice in the LA guard dog universe and non-Dreaming aus.)
at the same time, i think it's partially a function of fans getting attached to Tom Sturridge's portrayal of Dream. when s1 came out, i saw some discourse circulating about how already people weren't ready to "lose" him (and i think some of this filtered into the whole "retired" Dream headcanons, though that's another discussion). and i get that if someone else is cast as Danny, there's going to be a...reaction to both the actor figured as a "replacement" for Tom and the character as a "replacement" for the Dream that fans became attached to. which then becomes a possible burden on the actor. Rose's actor, Vanesu Samunyai, got significant backlash for being a Black woman to play a character who was white and blonde in the comix, and i could see that kind of racism seeping into people's reactions to Daniel. (also a fan grief/sadness at the tragic ending used as a "justification" for racism.) it's not clear to me how much support nonwhite actors like Vanesu get when they're cast in these roles where fans might "expect" a white actor. (like...Riordan told Leah Jeffries in the new PJO series not to listen to the haters because he chose her, which is great and all, but...is production working to ensure that she has someone she can safely process her experiences with, is she given reasonable accommodations, is someone else moderating her socials so she doesn't have to deal with trolls?) so that's another consideration.
(obviously the "solution" isn't to never cast nonwhite actors, but there's been an increase in "diverse representation" in media without a discussion of how these predominantly white spaces have material impact on nonwhite creatives.)
last thing is just that i've noticed the sandman fandom generally seems...more reluctant to engage in alt. casting than say, musical theater fandoms, where there's an expectation that the principal actor won't always be in a role or present when you witness the performance. there's this automatic turn toward finding someone who fits, for example, Delirium from the comix in the absence of an official show casting, rather than playing around with the uncertainty. (personally i'm out here championing Bailey Bass as my Delirium face cast, and tbh if they cast the rest of the Endless sibs as white, she and Stephanie Hsu will remain my primary Del references.) which i think is common in fandoms that rely on a visual "text" for reference, and even more so for Neilman tv fandoms, where fans seem to want/expect "word of god" affirmation. again, another discussion, but i'll just say for now i think the fandom suffers for it.

OOOOOO THANK YOU!!! I LOVE TALKING ABIUT MY OCS. I ended up just picking thd character that'd have the most interesting answer for each question.
1. Describe your OC physically
Helena is extremely tall, she's 190. She also lives in Brazil which does not help with her feeling out of place for being so tall. She has a sharp jawline, big nose and she's very physically strong so people often make rude assumptions about her cause she looks "traditionally masculine". As for notable features, I'd say her dimples and her hair. It's very curly, long and dark but in some aus it's bright red. My favorite feature is her hooked nose.
2. What role would your OC fill in a friend group?
Ricardo is a mom friend. He has a lot of health issues so by default then he always has a bag of essentials with him. Over time, he ended up putting things in it that he knew his friends might need just in case. His friends all adore him for it.
4. How do they act when they're sick?
Juno gets sick a lot so she always tries to hide it and stay out of people's ways cause she doesn't like being a burden. As a kid, her parents would take time off from work to take care of her and as an adult then her husband also goes out of his way to make sure she rests and recovers. Her family loves her a lot and refuses to not help simply because she doesn't want to inconvenience them.
8. What's something your OC owns that means the world to them? What's something they own that they don't like, but can't bring themselves to part with?
Nazik has tons of letters that she's saved over hundreds of years from dead friends. She often rereads them. One of them was from an ex and it said he wanted to call off their engagement because he was going out to war and didn't want to die and leave her behind. He survived but years passed and he ended up marrying another woman but Nazik keeps the letter cause she still loves him.
Also it's worth mentioning that Nazik is a several hundred year old vampire and her ex was a human.
15. How does your OC take up space? What do they do with their hands when they talk, or how do they sit in chairs?
Salvador fidgets a lot. He wears gloves so he tugs at them and adjusts them while talking. He used to be a prince so he knows how to sit properly but prefers sitting sideways in armchairs. Also loves sitting with his legs crossed.
20. What kind of clothing do they feel most comfortable in? What kind of clothing do they wear most often?
Molly feels most confident in long dresses, pants, sweaters and long sleeved shirts. She mostly dresses modestly but sometimes goes full goth with crop tops, short leather skirts and fish nets. She feels nice wearing it cause she lives in a very friendly and sweet community. Later in the story, she stops wearing more revealing clothes all together and just does extremely modest stuff because of a specific unfun event that made her hate her own body. She still dresses goth sometimes, just also modestly.

I am back on my bullshit (thinking about your stranger thing fics 24/7 and getting confused that your canon is not universal) but i was wondering if you had any extra body swap AU tidbits to share!! Or some Robin and Jonathan interactions in any verse!!
Lastly, I would love to hear your thoughts about how the Duffers pick their outcasts!! Also one thing that’s always struck me about stranger things (especially s1) is how much the narrative beats strike along those of ecological disasters(a la Erin brokovitch) and how in some ways ST seemed to understand that tragedy is random but some people are less protected from tragedy/authority fails them/the knowledge something is wrong but having no recourse yet lost all sense of finesse in later seasons. Idk if others have had those thoughts especially bc in some way it’s been lampshaded with the Barb cover story.
Anon I'm chewing gravel, you articulated it so well and so precisely. the narrative beats strike along those of ecological disasters!!!! I never thought about it that way but you're absolutely right!! Now I want somebody who has more knowledge than me to do a blow-by-blow comparing season 1 against Chernobyl or some equally prestigious piece of nuclear-disaster literature, because I'm really curious about whether that tracks, too. Just given the era and the anxieties of the era.
(Cut because here be salt.)
The ways in which it's lost all finesse, I think, are part sophomore slump (the show was a pet project in development for something like ten years before Netflix picked up season one, and then they wanted like a season a year after that? Or something along those lines?), part Franchising Is The Death Of Art, and part the Duffers just letting success go to their heads. The more I hear about the behind-the-scenes, the more sense I get that the showrunners just...don't put a lot of thought into what they make. Part of it is almost certainly time crunch, and part of it is absolutely economic pressure (the fabled Studio Meddling, and the studio is, instead of beholden to the companies who'd run ads during the show's runtime, beholden to the companies who'd buy product placement), and then there's the whole 'the US military won't let you use their infrastructure as props/sets if your film or TV show is too openly critical of the US military' thing.
But enough other showrunners work around these forces in interesting ways that it becomes really obvious how simply lazy a lot of the Duffers' choices are. They just pick something they think sounds cool and run with it. And that's a great way for every bias or anxiety or grudge they've ever had and not examined to float up to the surface to get skimmed off and shoved into their show.
I really do think that they set out with good intentions, in terms of 'outcasts' and challenging social norms. I just think that they've got a bunch of big ol' blind spots that they maybe don't even realise they have, have never examined, and now have an army of fans telling them aren't actually problems and they don't need to change anything. Honestly, it's the same problem a lot of actual 80s media has - John Hughes' whole canon is based off of this kind of 'identification with the outsider' thing, but. Well, Long Duck Dong exists.
It's the assumption that the white straight dude is the default, and everybody can relate to him, and should relate to him, and that if He is ever outcast then something is Wrong in Society - but hey, if people oppress women or gays or minorities, that's just how things work. And it's frustrating to see unironically and uncritically repeated in something that's patting itself so loudly and enthusiastically on the back about how it's All For The Freaks! (So Long As They're, You Know, Our Kind Of Freaks.)
Also it sounds like these motherfuckers keep ignoring the characterisation notes Winona Ryder is giving them and they Will one day die by my blade for disrespecting her. She's got more creative integrity, talent, and hard-earned skill in her little finger than the both of them have in their entire bodies. Put together. She made your careers you dumb fucking walnuts, do you think anybody would have cared that much about season one if it hadn't had Winona fucking Ryder in it????????

Answering Everything in the: Edgy/misc OC ask meme ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
1. What memory would your OC rather just forget?
He'd prefer to forget his nightmares simply for the simplicity of being able to tell what he really has done apart from them with greater ease.
2. What's something about your OC that people wouldn't expect just from looking at them?
For mortals - the extent of his influence and power. It's simply not something expected from some average looking teen/'very babyfaced short business guy'.
For other vampires - the fact he's stepped away from the path of humanity entirely. Sure the greyish parlour of his skin and sense of deathly tiredness may clue them into the way he's at least low on it but when combined with his jovial demeaner and lively body language he comes across as having maintained a connection to the living that other kindred his age often lack.
3. What is your OC's fatal flaw? Are they aware of this flaw
He has a self-destructive impulsive streak and he's very aware of it. It's come with dying without finishing brain development. It's somewhat balanced out with his paranoid indecisiveness.
4. When scared, does your OC fight, flee, freeze or fawn?
It will vary depending on the cause of his fear. Fawn has for a very long time, talking in the centuries, been his default when it comes to dealing with others. But flee or fight follow closely in second. Can't always jump to a fight. Can't always run away. Can't do nothing. So- fawn.
5. How far is your OC willing to go to get what they want?
Leo, for a long time, has adhered to the train of thought that anything and everything is fair game if it leads to the desired outcome. It does not matter how reprehensible the act is in his eyes or the eyes of others - if it achieves the goals that have been set out then those that have been harmed are simply unfortunate casualties in the grand game of the universe.
Besides, he thinks to himself, - If he was unwilling to commit to such an actions, than those that were would have an upper hand over him.
As it stands the most significant thing he has an unwillingness to do is forfeit his position. Followed by throwing aside the Twins. He cares for them greatly... and they're far to useful.
6. How easily could your OC be convinced to do something that goes against their moral compass?
Have a direct path towards something for him to gain.
Take for example the fact the fact he does not wish to see children harmed, yet he killed & embraced Danny at the drop of a hat because he made a suitable decoy so he could feign his death (at least that was his intention).
7. What's one way your OC has changed since you first came up with them?
Choice of weaponry. He used to be very gun focused (he still likes and collects them) but now he leans towards swords.
Also - when I first created him as an SPC I was still very very new to vtm (I still feel I am) and my notes for him in the games discord channel was the following:
'The Prince. Venture. Became the current prince in 1980. Imagine Five from Umbrella academy. Currently the second oldest kindred in the city (despite looking to be a teenager). Has a slightly abrasive relationship with his clan fellows in the city due to claims of him having a somewhat lax attitude.'
8. Would your OC ostensibly be able to get away with murder?
Yes. Ths boy can do so many murders. A significant part of his job is to cover them up after all.
9. Do you have a specific lyric or quote which you associate with your OC?
His playlist has over 100 songs on it but no specific one jumps to mind. Here's the colour coded spreadsheet of the songs on it.

10. What's an AU that would be interesting to explore with your OC?
One AU I have in my head that I keep repeatedly returning to in my head is the improbable situation of 'what would happen if all vampires abruptly woke up alive again one day' and the fallout that follows from that. It makes for an incredibly stressful time for him and going over how he responds to finally getting to grow up is interesting to me.
11. What is your OC's weapon of choice? Have they ever actually used it?
Good ol' reliable blade. More specifically he favours side-swords and rapier like weapons. I talked about it in this ask response.
12. Is your OC self-destructive? In what ways?
Because Leo sees what happens to him as inconsequential so long as he gets out the other end alive having achieved his goals he has put himself through a lot of traumatic situations and dismisses the mental strain that he is putting himself through when he commits himself to scenarios which are retraumatizing.
Aside from this he creates problems for himself on a semi-frequent basis. Which is likely the lessor evil.
13. If you met your OC, would the two of you get along?
We would get along because he's a chameleon that endeavours to get along with everyone. But he would see me as being frightfully lazy and undriven. Lacking in passion, too timid to get anything done, and therefore - disposable. I am the low willpower ghoul he possesses to do things out around town from time to time.
14. How does your OC want to be seen by other characters?
He wishes to be respected, liked, and induce some semblance of fear. He wants to to be the Friendly Neighbourhood Prince, who's approachable and as trustable as a Camarilla Prince to be. Even towards sabbat and hunters his preference is to be seen as someone that can be at least respected as a foe despite his goofy antics but he's well aware that given some of his antics on here he's unlikely to see that.
15. Does your OC have a faceclaim? If so, who?
Yes and no? He has strayed away from his Five clone origin and while the vibes for appearance are still similar it's not 100% right? This is my curse. Never shall I have a real person faceclaim and go 'Yes. Them. 100%'. The same way in which not all picrews feel as close as others.
16. What is your OC's pain tolerance like?
He's maxed up fortitude as high as he can for his generation. It makes him fairly numb and his pain tolerance rather high. At least in the moment. Once there is downtime he's going to whine about bumping into a table if given the opportunity.
17. What is the worst thing you have put your OC through story-wise?
I could say a lot of things here, I have dragged this boy through absolute hell and often leave things only vague or alluded to cos it's a case of me with my criminology degree going 'he would of probably seen this sort of thing... but I don't want to explicitly write it out for personal comfort'.
But... I think the fact that Leo maintains the distinct memory from his mortal life of being feverish from the plague and looking to the side to see his fathers deceased face blindly staring back at him has to be the cruellest thing I've burdened him with.
18. Is your OC more cold and detached or up close and personal?
Depends on who's interacting with him. If he wants you to like him he's going to act close and personal but he's really rather detached. Can't not be able to discard someone at the drop of a hat.
19. How does your OC behave when enraged?
Tense if the person on the receiving end of his anger is lucky and he does not wish to kill them. But he can become incredibly violent at the drop of a hat if he's pissed off. He is the start consuming flesh off his target in anger without being in fury frenzy. At least he'd claim he wasn't in it.
20. Does your OC have a tendency to get jealous? If so, how does this manifest?
He does. It's why he harks on yearn-posting for example. For the most part it's something he can shrug off but when it is something he feels he can be petty about he will attempt to find ways to throw as many spanners in the works as he can. (e.g. Were anyone to attempt to pursue Thea romantically they'd suddenly wonder why their life is falling apart.)
21. Does your OC have any illnesses or disorders? How do they handle it?
None that manage to be evident through the filter of vampirism. Were he alive however he does have some scarring of his lungs which would become an issue during times of physical exertion.
22. What character alignment would you consider your OC to be?
Neutral Evil.
23. What emotion is the hardest for your OC to process? How about express?
Honestly, really unsure what one it'd be. He's more introspective than me and has greater manipulative knowledge of how to ID then mess with emotions so I'd presume he has an okay grasp of things. Look, I ain't been to therapy. I dunno what emotions are y'all.
24. What is an alternative life path your OC might have gone down?
Dead. Either sickness, starvation, or execution. Unless we're making an AU where he's born in the modern world. If his sire hadn't intervened in his life he would of been caught out at some point. So, I guess if he hadn't stolen clothes and gone to that gathering that'd be the alternate path.
25. How different would their life be if they'd made those decisions?
Dead before 20.
26. What is your favorite thing about your OC?
I like that because he's always putting on at least some kind of act that I can sweep my inconsistent characterisation and stupidity under the rug as him just messing around. He takes a lot of weight off.

Love your work, you’re an incredible writer and it’s always a good day when you post 🫶🏼 I’m intrigued on a couple of things. Firstly, who do you find the hardest to write in character? Your characterisation is brilliant so I’m curious as to what you found the hardest?
Also what is your process during writing in general. I appreciate that with no such thing you had the episodes to flip, but when you’re scripting AU how would you go about doing so? I know some word vomit (I mean this nicely) and then mould away whereas others go with a rigid structure.
You’re exactly the kind of writer that inspires me to write myself… but also the kind of writer I’m forever envious of because of your effortless writing style haha!!
Aaahhh this is so kind, thank you! (Sorry in advance, this got long.)
So who do I find hardest to write in character... Out of everyone, JJ, definitely. The rest of them, I feel like the rhythm of their speech is distinct and I know when I've got it. (Obviously someone else might disagree with that and think I'm doing a terrible job of someone else lol, but I feel like I know when it feels right to me, when I can hear it in their voice in my head.) And I'm like, reasonably confident about how they'd react to a situation or etc - although that's obv very open to interpretation, and I'm aware I'm sometimes leaning into a fantasy a bit. But JJ... I don't know if I know her well. I don't know if the writers know her well, honestly. So I always struggle a bit with her.
Process is... mixed? With no such thing I figured out the relationships that were most important to me to 'fix' or develop and then what beats I wanted to hit to get there. For example, I hate that Emily spends S7 trying to win Morgan's trust back without ever finding out about the shitty things he said about her in Lauren. So I wanted her to hear about it, confront him, and give her the chance to forgive him and for them to choose to move forward together even though things aren't quite the same. I hate that Reid just acts out like a little kid about Emily's death / return and then that's that, but then when Emily comes back in S12 it feels like they're on a much more equal footing - so I wanted to give him the chance to be an equal adult in their friendship, because he absolutely has the capacity for that level of empathy, and that depth of love for Emily, and the writers just defaulted to babying him a lot. So I started with those ideas and literally rewatched all of S7 while taking notes then figured out the beats I needed and where to fit them in. (Stupid amount of detail, sorry, but doing it this way meant I didn't get caught up in trying to write around every 'missing scene' or feel pressure to address every single episode equally, which is the mistake I've made trying to write alongside canon before.)
My current WIP reckless (just enough) started out as 'I haven't written pregnancy / birth since doing it, maybe it would be good to try that', and then I also had a vague 'what if Emily was pregnant when Doyle was arrested' thought, and then thinking about how that would change the choices she made when he escaped made me think of doing it as a three part thing... From there, I started trying to write a detailed outline but I kept getting myself lost in the weeds, so I started just writing. There was a lot more trial and error this way - like writing entire scenes and then realising they were completely useless and scrapping them, which I did some amount of with no such thing (and also someone else's solid ground), but definitely less.
The ending of the final part is still unfinished and kind of in the air - it's out of my comfort zone tonally, and I just can't really figure out the transition from where I am to where I'm trying to be. (The solution to that problem is nearly always reworking the thing before the part I'm stuck at but I've tried that about 10 times so far, so... we'll see. Help lol.)
So yeah, I'm word vomiting this time, and I word vomited someone else's solid ground pretty much entirely - that started from like two lines of dialogue and a vague idea of how I felt their characters had grown since we last saw them together and 'I haven't written smut in a while, I wonder if that's a thing I can still do'. If I need a plot-shaped plot, I need to outline.
Write!! Do it!! And please know that effortless is not the word for my writing loool, I put a ridiculous amount of effort into this. And I edit a lot. I write terrible sentences, terrible scenes, I spend half an hour trying to get a character to move from one place to another or describe some specific action before it occurs to me (like it's brand new information every time) that I can just change it so they don't need to do the thing I'm struggling to describe... But once I'm in the rhythm of doing it, it becomes the thing my brain wants to do when I get a little bit of free time, and that's a fun place for me to be, and much healthier than all the 'how to be a perfect parent' facebook groups I squandered several years crying over. I spent a few years without access to the writing part of my brain, and I'm just... grateful to be back here. I still feel rusty - I was getting to a point pre-pregnancy/pre-covid (unfortunately these are the same event for me lol) where I could be a lot more expressive with language than I am right now. I honestly feel like I'm struggling just with communicating ideas at this point - if I can make myself understood, it's a win, at the moment. But I'm so so glad to be working on it and to have people interested in reading my things.
So yeah please write if any part of you wants to write, and you'll get better as you go! And if you ever want to bounce ideas or scenes or whatever off anyone, I'm always open to talking with more people about writing and Hotchniss and Emily Prentiss loool.

Hi again!
Romione is not my favorite couple, obviously, so I don't really read much fanfic/meta about them since they're pretty transparent as a couple and thus don't really have much about them that's left unexplored that I'm interested in talking about.
But I really do love them together as a couple and - no matter how many AU fics I read - can't for the life of me see them with other people. (Not saying it's not possible or that others shouldn't multi-ship, just saying I personally can't. Same for Hinny for me.)
I love the dynamic push-and-pull that Ron and Hermione have, the friction in their fights and make-ups, the words that are more often said than unsaid (lol), and most importantly, the realism that their arc exemplifies.
They do not follow the soulmate storyline, they do not always understand each other in every little interaction, they do not always get it right the first time around, but this is what makes them real and visceral and present, and they are willing to fight for themselves and their relationship always. They are willing to do better.
I remember the harsh discourse they received as a result of that JKR & Emma Watson interview ages ago, when couple's therapy was brought up as one "terrible" thing the couple might be facing. I remember the backlash and the triumph that Harmony fans had when they thought this meant that JKR was regretful for creating the entire pairing altogether and by default suggesting that Harry and Hermione would ride off into the sunset on a hippogriff and their kids could finally be rid of the dreaded, tainted redhair gene for all time and conveniently forgetting the fact that Harry has his own choices in the matter and even if Hermione did choose him that wouldn't mean he would choose her, but who cares if "Harry and Hermione are true equals" and "it's as much Hermione's journey as it is Harry's" anyways as stated by E.W. herself, right?
I apologize if that brought back scary memories; it did for me too.
Bottom line is, Ron and Hermione are not doomed even if JKR wasn't full of shit (rare hypothetical scenario, I know) and they do need couple's therapy. In fact, I even headcannon this because of their willingness to atone for their mistakes after their fights and be a better version of themselves than before even if we only really have canon evidence of Ron doing this more than Hermione. I am a firm believer that being honest and vulnerable with one another is the bravest thing anyone can do, and most can't even realize that these days without throwing around the word "toxic" (for fictional relationships of all things), undermining the relationships that actually should be labeled as such (...I would name some, but I've decided I don't want to instigate anything today, so I won't).
So, yes. I do think Romione is a great couple. Yes, I do think they may need therapy. These concepts are not always mutually exclusive.

I wish people understood that when I say I'm anti-censorship, I don't mean "except for the stuff I find personally icky." I mean always. Censorship is ALWAYS a slippery slope that goes after 'acceptable' subjects first. The dark stuff, the weird kinks, porn, horror, transgressive and weird art. People don't fucking understand that they won't stop there, they never do. And all of those things are HUGELY important emotional and artistic outlets and deserve to exist even if you find them gross.
god, same. like. there's stuff out there that I don't like. there's stuff out there that disgusts me. there's stuff out there that I genuinely fail to see any point in, and that I find so gross and despicable that yeah, I would like it gone. in an ideal world, that shit wouldn't exist. and it pains me to have to include it when I say I'm anti-censorship, because I hate that shit and I hate having to defend it by default.
but I'm aware of what we have to lose if we get easy with censorship. the thing is, when you have strong morals or a strong ideology, you're going to find yourself defending people and things you don't necessarily like. this sucks, but part of being politically mature is understanding that it's inevitable. if you're pro-choice, you have to accept that if your partner wants to get rid of a baby she's carrying but you don't want her to, you have to support her. if you're anti-death penalty, you have to accept that you're going to come across crimes so reprehensible that your first instinct is to wish the perpetrator dead, and wonder about exceptions to your rule, but you can't do that. if you're pro-immigration, you need to understand that yes, some of these people coming in are going to be criminals, because that's statistics, but you have to learn to arm yourself with other statistics in support of immigration rather than shut down every single statistic you don't like with cries of racism. you're going to be protecting people and situations you'd perhaps prefer not to protect, but it's totally possible to still be against them. that's why I described that AO3 post not as pro anything, but rather anti-censorship.
censorship is a slippery slope, especially when waved under the flag of protecting children. if these people honestly think it'll all stop at straightforwardly dodgy content (like inappropriate material about real-life minors) they're naïve at best and totally delusional at worst. "think of the children!" has been used time and time again to demonise the LGBT community, and if they really think they can censor some mature content without it eventually branching out to cover all dark content and all sexual content that isn't a man and a woman who are married and doing it for the purposes of procreation, they're wrong. in fact, shit might go so far that all writing of that nature is banned -- look at Tumblr. that's what blanket bans on harmful content can look like. the context was different (wanting to be friendlier to advertisers) but this is what will happen. everybody saw how LGBT tags were censored during that time period. that's because a large chunk of people with influence feel that LGBT content is inherently harmful for minors to be around, and if we hand them censorship under the "think of the children!" cause, they will crack down hard. this shit has happened before, and in recent history too. there's a reason AO3 exists. it's because before it did, this shit was the norm. who knows how many works have been destroyed because of this shit in the past. it's an irretrievable loss. these people might think that they'll just be banning stuff that's bad, and that they don't like... but then their fics about their favourite ships vanish because it's explicit and between two guys, and then their fics about their favourite ship just having a cute time in a coffee shop AU is banned because it's same-sex and that's not family friendly, and so on and so on. any censorship sets a dangerous precedent.
censorship is always a slippery slope, as you said. it's always going to be abused. and it is never your friend. it is never something that will protect you in the long run. it's like fire -- you might light it, and at first it might burn only what you wish it to, but once it starts to spread there's fuck all you can do about it, and it will no longer differentiate between the things you want gone and the things that mean a lot to you. I really, really wish people would do their research on this topic. censorship always has been and always will be a tool of oppression.
(and for the record, because "lol gross person just wants to read their nasty fics" is a comment I get way too much on my discussions of this post: I don't read fanfic. I'm not involved in fandom. I'm just fucking anti-censorship.)

Ton's of things I've in store this will prove difficult to vent it all out. But here we go... First off rehashing and appropriately learning to tag and organize things better on my blog. Each category will have their own corresponding content, I seek to bring or share. [Tales of Goldbrand] -- I intend this to carry a Compendium of all my writes soon that'll have everything neatly in-order including a glossary, so it'll have highlights of stories that even matter or the best stuff. I've written here for a very, long time, there's been many shifts. I want to make it more accessible. While coloring what matters for people who want to learn Captain or his Crew with less chapters. While also giving choice to find it all easily. This is essentially a step-above master-lists. I'll be doing that after the Saga I have going on, right now is done. [Captain] -- Will provide you strictly with Captain screenshots, gifs, photo-sets. This is still his blog despite the Crew thing's will sort of make this a scuffed Multi-Muse blog. I've few more things to edit and tag fix to get all his stuff though. [The Wild Crew] -- Afterwards this story is done Immortal Age Saga, It's something that I mainly wrote as a passion project within three days to get my warm-up process fixed. It's to allow me to get a feel for all his Crewmates and casts, in combat, in-general, to feel their presences. While also giving a bit of their backstories. At any point, I can go back and polish or tweak things in. They're NPC's but... not entirely. All will have their own 'Dreams' and their own 'Disapproval's' they have their own missions even. These things will factor eventually, they might set seeds, to betray or disagree with something, but that's all angst and more stories to be created, but overall, they'll probably always be Crew, eventually. -- I plan on making character-profile sheets of them and putting them in this Tab, it'll have their screenshots, their likes/dislikes. Some RP partners or people can also be shipped with them, but they'll all be monogamous and originally start off probably Pan. This allows them to figure out what they like on their own stories. I've always been someone who likes organic-flow. Although this one story contain all 16 characters or more, the rest will probably be shortened to a Squad of 4 and dispersed when on adventuring missions. Until I do a War Arc, that's my main goal to build too. [Roster] -- Will contain this Crew in just screen-sets dedicated to them, I'll probably randomly produce those. I've PC players among this Crew too. I may not be done either adding more, but this Crew is mainly built around Quality. Most pirate crew's mainly, have hundreds, thousands. Even Fleets. This Crew has personalities, monsters, people who are living life's that exist with piracy. He's an particular leader that had PC players the same way, he's had split-personality serial killers aboard, tribal chieftains, succubus, all sorts of various people once on a Crew. It's often an outcast style, pirates default are chaotic in nature, so this really isn't any different, it's a Fantasy version of it. There's humanization characters aboard too though, so this cast is really decked, everything and person is vital, they matter because they remind or covet something that others can draw upon. If ever played (Three Houses or Mass Effect / Dragon Age Origins) A lot of things like that are relatable too this structure and format. Which, Is something I want to be able to give when RPing. I want a genuine feel of this new world someone else's muse will be the main-character too. Depending on what's interacting everything they'll be scale appropriately to follow the genre they're in and environment even. [Aesthetics] -- Already explainable what you'll find here. I'm never the type who's been strictly inclusive. But I'll do that when I've time to even explore the dash, I'm always still planning ahead with things and projects. I'm a pirate blog. I will represent that with openness and furthermore. I'm never projecting you some false-image. I started off a smut-writer by stripping that, I no-longer represent the same aura and identity. But those are strictly his stuff and kinks, I'm effective in executing them but they're not all relatable to me OOC. This blog will always be 18+ containing crude or dark material sometimes, romantic things, this Captain is blunt, will literally put his cock on the table in conversations. Swearing and being censored would be too uncommon and displace most of him, but there's more about him then all this. [Other] -- I pay homage to a lot of characters, I originally am a Concept Designer. Which mean's I make characters and ideas like my addiction. Bad characters / villains or other little things I like to share in designs, I'll put there. Some villains might get little photo-sets, even if they died. Just cause I like their design, or maybe I'll give them an AU, where they won. When I've wrapped up things. [Collabs + Ships] -- Is a new project idea. This isn't going to be something limited too romantic only ships. It'll contain, platonic, romantic, friendships, rivals, frenemies, family, PC Crew, all ships. I am desperately working on improving my gif, screenshot, posing game so I can supply 'Screen Stories' this is not only a way to RP that's accessible with even people who are upon time-crunches from work, It gives visual-representation. To impactful stories shared with others and establish bonds. That are all-valid and impactful matter. Lot of people take a lot of their characters attributes into them and are them dialed up, I work with that and bit more, differently. I'm disconnected from my characters and they'll get hurt and injured and killed by me, that's my duty as their Author to give them conflicts and struggles. I'm their major antagonist, but that doesn't mean at-all, it's always SET that way. The characters I like to make have their own life, they live in this setting and are abide by it, they're often nothing, nobodies, and by the interacting with others, they slowly gradually building, more... Through emotional impacts, they alter, these are REAL people by all their beliefs. Each person they come in-contact with are legitimate and treated like that too. They've always impacted or given them insights to grow, or represent more. Otherwise it'd be criminally disrespectful if I allowed any emotional I felt OOC be the grudge to something IC. Captain in-particular is set on defying me. I cannot have that. ...But I can't stop him. He's met and encountered so many people and lived so many scenarios based on the actions of others, he's giving a chance right now to actually do things a lot further than impossible. The more people he meets and encounters, experiences, the more I lose. These stories are emotionally interactive where everything is a factor and adds to the dice, where the other people are the one who get to roll the dice for him, not me. That's something I want to color in. People range in emotions, they have their down's, ups, their own wholesome-grounding people, spending time with your favorite people, there's nothing more cherishing than that, being in your own comfort-zone or 'safe-space' these are all treasures that we live under, today. Contrary if what people assume of me, I'm not another 'blogger' that's came
before, who's wanting to force a harem, then constantly is bewildered when that falls to pieces cause of selfishness or a lack of communication, or the skeletons they have in their closets and beliefs they hid behind and swindled fooled everyone. I'm not looking to be popular or anything really, I just create stories and want to share in those, and I want to also boost others included, upward with me, especially those who make me. There's no ego in anything I do, this is purely love. I've never cared about being replicated or duplicated, I've had stalkers, I've gone through more then anyone would imagine, I've been used OOC and abused, just for my writing and cold-harshly told, i'd never amount to anything other then that or vice-versa. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Passion. That's all I got and am anymore. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Passion is the hardest thing to keep. It's something that can be stolen, quite effortlessly. Few words of discouragement, a bad negative representation, a lack of confidence, or small amount of time, there's many thing's that can put that flame out. Once you lose it. The difficulty to reattain is hundred-times harder than climbing any mountain for real. I've watched the greatest creators crumble from under the pressure, from beaten down by others. I watched many of them do it to themselves because they put a grand vision of needing validation of another and once lost, felt uncompelling to press onward. But passion also can be given BACK and drawn. It can be shown and encourage others, with a soft-triggering, that pushes them. That motivates, that constantly sticks to it. There are many that fuel me. If I ever quit, I let them down, I spit in the faces of people who're better than me in every-way. Or people who've came and given me their precious Time. That have given their character's or dedication to the abundant stories and community-driven things I've done. There's ONLY things you can do, create, give and provide. It cannot ever come to life without YOU. This is a fact. ...I swear, If you let your creativity soar, you'll be amazed by the heights you get. Constantly polish and learn and hone the best you, challenge yourself day after painstaking day, to draw better improvement on something, no matter how trivial or unfamiliar you are. You'll find a confidence only you can give yourself. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Future Plans --------------------------------------------------------------------- For me, I've got so much more stories to give and also explore, I might be taking up soon some other artists and more skilled people from community and hire them for some of my future writes, to up my game or cause something thing's can't be done in-game cause no background carries it. I also got a lot of-set up things and more angst stuff I want to practice, plus I'm adamantly on that grind to produce screen-sets with the intent's to some sort of improving daily. Additionally more people I'll be reaching out too soon for these collab's ideas and things.
