Jews deserve love so I'm gonna side eye this since Zionism wasn't mentioned. The political movement of Zionism is the problem, not Jews or Judaism.
This all being said, it is also important that we all, as those who aren't being starved, murdered or imprisoned in this genocide stay informed and, yes, that does mean being aware and actually seeing what is happening and thinking about why it's happening. I understand being overwhelmed and I understand the emotional toll that takes. However, if we are not actively having our safety and welfare harmed to the same extent as Palestinians are currently with being bombed every single day and not having enough food or medicine to know if they'll see tomorrow, I think being supportive and present is the least we can do. Solidarity to our Jewish brothers and sisters, but we all have to do our part as we show solidarity to our Palestinian brothers and sisters too.
Many suffer due to the decades long siege on Gaza and the West Bank and the consequences of it; antisemetism (specifically the collective blaming of all anti-Zionist Jews for the Zionist colonialist project) and Islamophobia (collectively blaming all Muslims for the suffering of Jews, which is pushed by the anti Muslim and anti Arab propaganda that labels all middle eastern people as "terrorists"). I understand that is exhausting, so yes, if Jews AND Muslims and Arabs need to rest and a reminder they're loved? Yeah. We should say it. We just can't forget that it's not just Jews, but the Palestinians who are bearing the brunt of the far right Israeli government's Zionism and aggression.
Division of the shared struggle of Palestinians and Jews caused by Zionists is reductive. What we need to push for is solidarity for a problem caused by a common enemy; Zionism/ imperialism and western intervention. Which, yeah, is precisely why I want Jews to remember they're loved, but also that staying educated and informed is so so important. Zionism is dependent on propaganda and raising children in western ideals of colonial expansion ("the culture of surrounding nations needs to be fixed and erased for the greater good" or "because those around us are so savage and evidently are so sexist and homophobic and bad we have to fix them" or "Arabs colonised Jews so the Arabs need to die" are often used to try and create a target out of groups that are actually really progressive and/or not at fault for what the Romans did to the ancient Kingdom of Israel, but are labelled as evil by the west due to how they're in the way of resources and advantageous areas). If you've ever heard of the US's "cop cities", I'd compare Israel, a place built on Zionism, as one of those. The way it pushes militarisation is very similar and essentially teaches Jews to fight or die from a threat that is actually not even there until it's made to be there; Palestinian resistance groups that then prove all their worst fears when they resist after previous attacks by the IDF.
October 7th wasn't the first and it won't be the last as long as Israel antagonizes the countries and people around it until an attack happens. Which, again, is exactly why it's so important for Jews to know what sort of system Israel is and that getting far far away from that system is important for Jews and their literal safety. That's what I mean by a shared struggle, because so much of the antisemetism we're seeing? That's not from pro Palestinian protesters or the Palestinians themselves who are scared (rightfully so) of an attack from Jews who could be Zionists, that's from the conflating for Zionism (again, something that's been used to justify terrorist attacks towards surrounding groups of civilians for over 76+ years if we're only asking about Israel and not even the militias before it). And it is that system and that ideology that is to blame for the Palestinians' suffering.
I know I rambled a lot here and, honestly, there's so much to this that it's hard to summarise. But it's important; Jews aren't our enemies and are fellow victims ofa Zionism. Yes, Zionism began as an ideology centring Judaism that was then merged with western ideals of imperialism. No, that doesn't make it antisemetic to criticise as it is still a far right extremist ideology that calls for the establishment of an ethno-state using methods copied from Germany and actively has killed Jews in that westernised political pursuit, even before the establishment of modern Israel.
To every Jewish person:
I hope you are remembering to take care of yourselves.
I hope you are eating well. Staying hydrated. Getting plenty of rest.
I hope you are remembering to take a break from everything. Turn off social media and the news and find some joy.
I hope you remember how strong your people are and how far they have come.
I hope that you remember that you are also strong. Being strong doesn't mean you have to face everything alone.
I hope you look at the sky once a day and find beauty there.
I hope you remember to sing.
I hope you remember how much you are loved. Every single one of us is a gift. We will do what we do best and continue on.
#I'm not sure if I worded this well but it's so so important to remember not to conflate Zionism with Jews#because thats the weapon Israel and Zionists have been using all these years#Jews deserve love but also more in the sense that everyone does equally and that's important#since Isral and Zionsm tends to focus on that point to claim Jews in Israel need more love than Jews outside of it or Arabs or other races#*israel#basically it's important to understand the bs underneath and the context as to why all this is happening#because it isn't the over used story of “well the arabs are all terrorists” because no that isn't true and is western propaganda#the only legitimate dangers other than Israel is probably Iran because of their own imperialist ideologies and right wing gov#not because of being Muslim or Arab#Iraq Syria Egypt etc would have been way more progressive had it not been for the USs interventions and installing right wing govs#Afghanistan too tbh#I forgot to mention it but honestly yeah Afghanistan especially with how the Talaban and Isis were armed by the US#Had El-Sisi not been forcefully installed into power by the US backing him?#we could have had a left leaning democratically elected president in Egypt#so much of what Israel says is wrong with everything isn't true#it's not Arabs but western intervention which is exactly what formed Israel to begin with#Israel is just the latest Isis Talaban or Sisi in that it's only there for western interests until it's not

Sorry to bother you, but i would like to hear you opinion on the international day of action taking place on Invasion Day. I know these movements are incredibly intertwined and there have been a lot of pro Palestine movements and solidarity actions co organised by Aboriginal Australians and this years Invasion Day march will most likely be in solidarity with Palestine while also addressing more specific (although similar to the genocide thats currently occurring) issues in relation to Invasion Day, but I am unsure how to go forward without unintentionally overshadowing the significance of both days even though a lot of the what’s currently occurring is similar to why we protest, march and mourn on Invasion Day
hello, okay so just to be clear I'm not the speaker for Aboriginal people everywhere. I can only tell you my opinion as a single Aboriginal person who is also Arab. So, please, only take what I say as one opinion and not a rule.
I believe and know that all colonial powers are linked. Australia as a colonial power is inseparable from the UK and the USA. The UK are responsible for invading and establishing a colony in "Australia", just as they were responsible for invading and establishing a settler colony in Palestine, and the same goes for the US. And while the colonies of "Australia" and the US and "Israel" took on their own identies as settler colonial states, they share and maintain colonial roots with the UK.
So, you see, it's not just that the struggles are similar, they're the same. Literally, the same. So called Australia was colonised under the British law of "terra nullius", the legal concept that no one was here so it was free for the taking. Palestine was colonised by British and European Zionists who saw Palestine as "a land without people for a people without a land" which is just terra nullius by another name.
Palestine and Palestinians, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples share similar conditions because our oppressors are the same and are still in fucking cahoots. The Australian government is sending weapons to Israel and Israel bankrolls a LOT of Australian financing, tech companies, and universities. Our struggles for liberation are inseparable because the institutions oppressing us are inextricably linked.
I say all this to remind you that Invasion Day rallies and protests are not about the day itself. They are about how the day represents colonisation and the ongoing violence of it. They are organised to remind settlers that we First Nations peoples are still here and we do not condone the celebration of our colonisation and ongoing genocide.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. The Free Palestine movement is a global anti-colonial movement. To stand with Palestinians is to stand with every Indigenous person living under occupation and fight for their liberation. The Free Palestine movement isn't a stopgap movement or a charity movement, it's a land back movement. What you need to really sit with and ask yourself is why you're in the Free Palestine movement. Because if it's not because you believe that Indigenous people everywhere should have their land returned to them, then you're not really an ally.
What I mean is, there shouldn't ever be a question of which one you should support because the answer is both. They can't overshadow one another because our movement is the same, our struggle for liberation is the same. You and anyone else out there worried that supporting your local Indigenous peoples' liberation is going to overshadow Palestine or vice versa need to learn more about how our struggles are not separate. They're one struggle against the same Imperial colonial powers. When we say that none of us are free until all of us are, we mean it's because it will take all of us in solidarity to liberate one another because our oppressors are all the tentacles of the same imperial colonial monster.
Most rallies for Invasion Day in major cities will also be in solidarity with Palestine. One of the first times I went to Invasion Day in Eora/Sydney in 2014/15 I was moved to tears by a Palestinian speaker at the rally who said he'd been coming to Invasion Day rallies since he landed in this country as a refugee in the 90s because he instantly saw our shared struggle as Indigenous peoples under settler colonialism.
So I hope I've helped you see that there is no supporting one or the other or overshadowing because we are fighting for the same thing. It's why so many Palestinians advocate for other oppressed peoples and stand in solidarity with Black Americans, Indigenous peoples around the world, and vice versa because it's not that we're in lots of struggles in competition with one another. We're in one struggle, an end to our occupation, and our permanent and whole liberation.

If you are a Zionist, i do not like you!!
Zionism has brought about the modern "state" of israel, a european controlled war colony.
The israeli occupation is a colonizing force meant to stake claim to land and give control to european countries.
Jews do not need a country for our people, what we need is to be seen and treated as equal.
Jews are indigenous to the land of Palestine, and while what you think of when you hear Palestinian may not be all the same as Jews, they are an arabized population, largely assimilated into a culture from the Arabian peninsula-they are our sister people.
They may not be as born from the land as we were, but they belong to it too.
Zionism is the belief that the jewish diaspora can only be safe through the occupation of the homeland.
Jews can be safe, but only once our sistering people are safe too.
As an american jew, i had to stop going to temple as a kid because my mom was so worried due to bomb threats, shooting threats, stabbing threats, so on and so forth. The cementation of the state of israel would not fix this.
The existence of the state of israel implies that we are something else. that we are something different meant to be kept separate.
What we need is an end to the war. What we need is peace back in our homelands, to be able to live there with our sister people, or even just visit, in safety.
Our lands are not safe, not while the modern israel is as it is now.
Just because jews have a right to our homeland doesnt mean Palestinian claims to indigenity are null, it doesn't mean that the Palestinian people do not belong. They have lived there for hundreds of years alongside us, they do not need to be pushed out so that we may have peace.
Israel is killing more of its own people than Hamas is.
Israel is killing hundreds more palestinians than palestinians are killing israelis.
Hamas is a terrorist group.
So is the current Israeli government.
Both are committing atrocities. BOTH NEED TO BE STOPPED.
If Israel dropped their guns today, Hamas would keep attacking until international forces stopped them, and they could let palestinians return to what's left of their homes.
If Hamas dropped their guns today, Israel would continue their slaughter of innocent palestinians, and jews would still not be safe.
Both the Israeli government and Hamas are horrible and are run by horrible people, both are in the wrong.
Nobody wins in war, but Israel is the greatest of the two evils in this.
The line between them is not very thick, but the Israeli government can afford much more dangerous weapons in much greater quantities than Hamas currently can.
A lot of anti-zionists take it too far and speak with antisemitism, but the state of Israel needs to be put to an end, and either disbanded or restructured.
Israel is not just killing Palestinians.
Thats why I'm against the modern state of Israel.
It is not just killing the group it demonized, not just the "them" they have singled out and attempted to make the world's enemy, but its own people.
Israel is killing its own people at nearly the same rate it is killing Palestinians.
That's why i want to free Palestine.
Because to free palestine, the war must be stopped.
For the war to stop, both the Israeli government and Hamas must be handled.
The Zionist/Anti-Zionist and the Pro-Palestine/Anti-Palestine makes it seem so cut and dry.
It is messy and crumbling, if you were to grab it, it would fall from between your fingers like bloody sand.
It is cold and melting, frigid and unstable.
It is hot and wilting, it burns and is crushed in your hand.
It has never been as simple as good vs bad.
No one party is in the right and no one party is in the wrong.
Both sides are groups of innocent people drowned in a messy blanket of the monsters they are lead by.
It takes nuance, understanding, you must always be willing. Read as much as you can from all sides.
It had been simplified beyond sense;
To say you support Israel, you are supporting the slaughter.
To say you support Palestine, you want to free the people and stop the bloodshed.
If you want to support Israel because the people are dying, you cannot support Israel itself.
If you want the want to support Palestine, you have to denounce Hamas.
If you are a human being, you should want to stop Israel's military action. Once it's stopped, almost all damage being done to both Palestinians and Israelis will cease, and once Hamas is dealt with, then is a possibility for peace, for an end to the bloodshed.
If you think it is as simple as "this side all wrong/this side completely right" you are too comfortable. In your privilege and greed you have become blind.
Listen to the people in need. Those in refugee camps do not beg for vengeance, they beg for peace.

We all grew up watching the atrocities perpetrated by a terrorist group (NOT A COUNTRY) on innocent Palestinians in news and media. This pain we feel for the Palestinians is deeply rooted. Part of the reason is that our ancestors were also victim of colonization and later they wanted freedom from a state that would never allow them to practice their religion freely.
Past has been cruel to Muslims so, is the present, and so will be he future if we do not identify why on earth we are oppressed everywhere around the globe? Why on earth anyone would settle in our land and would make us homeless? And the world will go on observing it as a conflict and not as an oppression.
Pakistan alone can do nothing until the Muslim world unites against Israeli oppression. Also, I urge you to study why zionists are more powerful than the entire muslim world at present?
Also, here is a small fact that there are other religions living in Palestine including Muslims. So I would say instead of following an emotional stance on the matter kindly study the political aspect of the whole thing. The muslim world needs to strengthen itself in science, technology, and economy. For this we need better educational system, innovative research and support for enterpreneurs.
We only have swords to mention speaking of our glorious past. Maybe thats why we go emotional and state things like, 'why doesn't government fight Israel?' The answer is simple, 'because it can not'
Today fighting a country is not equivalent to going after them well equipped with weapons. World is in an economic race, and it's a war going on for years. This is a war we have always failed but our emotions remain intact, we have failed to provide education to our kids and we remain calm, we have failed to provide employment to our graduates and we remain silent.
Today, the one with better economy is heard, and the one with the worst economy can't speak. All international stake holders of peace support the rich countries and what they have for you? NGOs, to fight poverty which they themselves created out of global capitalism.
Save yourself before you, #savepalestine
