you know if i had to choose... i would say i definitely prefer jason as "slightly dumb and overly clingy but still has an actual goal in mind with what he does and who he kills or doesn't kill" as opposed to "a total fucking maniac who just shoots everybody and kills anybody in the most gruesome ways despite it not really making sense." if we're going with jasons that aren't written in an ideal way. i would definitely choose the former.

Top Form, here to save me yet again. What would we all do without QL to get us through the week?
This is only episode 4, so I'm very curious about how saucy we will actually get this early, and where it goes from here. Hoping for very saucy!
The puppy energy is strong today.
Tumblr media
Of course he filmed Akin while drunk (and asleep), oh you little creepy sweetie.
Poor Akin clearly has not let loose in a very very long time.
That is true love, to be that ok with being barfed on.
Aw, it's actually sweet for Jin to just ask for a hug, but also can we talk about Boom's acting here
Tumblr media
where he goes from smug to shocked to scared so quickly, as he realizes his attempt to paint Jin as just some horny little bastard is not going to hold against the danger of the real emotions that are there.
I do wonder when Akin last got a genuine hug from someone.
Lol, of course Jin couldn't resist the kiss, but baby, you gotta give him time.
Oh Akin. You really don't know what to do with being cared for, do you?
Omg, the way he just swims in Jin's shirt. *swoon*
Tumblr media
Also is this honey foreshadowing...
I'm dying and we're only 12 minutes in.
Tumblr media
The creatives on this show know what the people like, and we love them for it.
Ohoho, kitty doesn't want to delete that video.
Akin is so powerless against the puppy.
Ooh, so the red and white motif today.
Tumblr media
This is the first time we've seen red brought in! Side note: red is a really good color for Boom.
I am very curious if the series they are filming is explicitly BL, or being passed off as "bromance". Because it is hella gay.
Lolol, Jin immediately back to puppy mode.
Hmm, don't love Jade's face there. What is he thinking?
Haha, oh Akin, you waaant him.
Also can I point out that there is no way that an actor does not have several changes of clothes on a set, so he is 100% choosing to wear Jin's clothes again. Sly boy.
This car montage is EVERYTHING.
But also how dare they transition right at this look!
Tumblr media
The romance!
Boom, you are killing me with the faces.
Tumblr media
Oh, he is so softening, Jin. He is goddamn butter right now.
How is a silent scene in a closet making me squee this much!?!
And of course on day 21, Jin is wearing red! I see you costume designers!
Don't mind me, just having another feral moment over height difference.
Tumblr media
Akin looks like I always feel when a camera is on me.
God, Boom's acting is so good. All the layers of uncomfortable and wanting and confused. I get it though, the intrusion of the realities of fame in the bubble you had going for a while.
Oh Akin, no other man's seat feels the same.
Lol, Sine: "Please figure this out because my life is so much easier with Jin taking care of you".
Oh no, I can't handle sad puppy.
Not the black kitty plushie!
Tumblr media
This is why Akin is so lovable. Under the grump, he's just pure soft squishy insides. And a huge dork. Who can resist it?
Well, showing a bunch of fans as entitled assholes who don't understand the actors' real lives is definitely accurate.
Crud. Jade wanting to commodify their relationship is going to be so bad.
This series is not going to help my "fans need to mind their own fucking business" irritation.
Red light, and more honey foreshadowing?!?!
Tumblr media
What have we done to deserve such gifts?
Jin, you made this man feel things, he is not gonna let you pull back.
But honestly, considering what I have heard of the manga, this seems like an important moment to include. Jin has been the relentless pursuer, but this is making it clear that Akin is as invested in what happens between them, and wants Jin just as badly.
Oh, Akin's tentative yet desperate kisses. This man wants to be loved so badly, and has no idea how.
And again, Jin could take advantage of the desperation, but he won't, because he wants their physical relationship to be on equal footing. He cares about Akin's emotional state.
Omg, Jin, you idiot. Communication is key!
Damn, the way they are both so flushed is so fucking hot.
Tumblr media
The emotional intensity, the everything!
Fucking hell! Ok, for the rest, the gifmakers will do way more justice to than any screenshot ever could. But omg. Sauciness achieved.

Gotta how Eggy is still salty over his terminally ill cousin hogging all the attention from him, even 50 years after her death. Now that is what I call peak pettiness and narcissism.🥚👑💚
Tumblr media
God yes it's one of the memos I understood and loved right away when it leaked. I was surprised by the ways it was interpreted to hint at a tragic past of neglect, I could tell right away that it was bratty and selfish instead with his words and the attitude in his tone. Plus Flynn was later asked if the former was the implication but he said Eggman is a very unreliable narrator too.
I really wish that more people would focus on what we know is actually happening in it and what makes the memo so great and funny and true to him with his self egotistical mindset and attitude. It's definitely one of the highlights. I LOVE how he canonically feels the exact about Maria in the exact same way I imagined him to, I've had the headcanon for years!
He'd totally be jealous and bratty towards absolutely anyone getting attention instead of him in any amount, even if they have all the most understandable reasons in the world such as being kind and loving like Maria was known to be and would unsurprisingly be praised and treasured for, and the fact that she had a terrible life threatening illness.
I truly believe Eggman was always an asshole and this memo supports it because now we know he's always been like "ugh why couldn't I get all the attention instead, who cares about her when I'm right here!" I find the consistency of him always being selfish, self-centered, egotistical, and entitled to attention due to it, more compelling than coming up with a sad reason for it.
And we know that even after she died he was like "you're all talking about her like she's so special but she's DEAD but I'm right here still alive and with tons to admire and praise!" He's so messed up and funny for that and I like how he feels about her terminal illness and death is also another example of how he has low empathy and that it does go back to childhood.
And yeah that type of jealousy towards family for attention is common but it's also the fact he still feels that way as an old man. This bastard didn't learn and mature like "it was kinda fucked up to be rude and insensitive towards an innocent terminally ill child", he's still just like "ugh everyone talked about her like she was so special 🙄 but it should've been ME!"
I mean what a major fucking asshole LOL it just screams Eggman and I love it so much. It shows his ego, selfishness, and desire for all the attention always existed in him, which are all traits he still has that fuel his evil motives to take over the world today. It's like it got worse and more extreme over time for him to want all the attention from the entire world too.
And the way he didn't grow out of that immature attitude that kids in family can feel towards each other, such as when they don't get cool gifts at another's birthday party and stuff like that, also makes it seem like it's a part of how he's a big manchild now, as he showed that side of him a looot throughout Frontiers. XD Love how it all seems to date back
I've also imagined that one of the ways Eggman took inspiration from Gerald is how impressive, important, and famous him and his work was. Eggman is known in the games and TailsTube to take pride in being related to him and because of his own high IQ and skills too, he likely felt entitled to that same attention and focused on that part instead of Gerald's good deeds lol
I like to think that while he obviously admired Gerald and thought of him more positively, it was because he could see himself in him through his intelligence and scientific accomplishments and wanted to be a great scientist like him so he could get all the attention and praise for himself and his own work. They are actually the things he says he admires in the SA2 ending.
But then Maria was admired by others because she was a good person with a terminal illness, neither of which I believe Eggman could ever relate to, so he didn't take inspiration from her and couldn't take pride in being related to her like Gerald with his genius and science, so he only felt bitterness and like it was just undeserved and that he should've had it instead.
And I imagine that another part of it is how he felt like Maria was in his place that he really deserved instead because she actually knew him personally and lived with him. He'd obviously wish he could've been on the ARK with his grandfather and idol and inspiration in science instead too, which is yet another reason for him to be like "it should've been me instead!"
How he lacks sympathy for an innocent little girl with a tragic terminal illness because of egotistical entitlement for attention and feeling more important was fucked up. Eggman isn't a victim, he's a biased narrator as Ian Flynn said. He doesn't think anyone should get attention over him when he's there to love and praise and give attention and appreciation instead.
I also like to think the reason he compares Sage to Maria is that as she's an impressive and admirable creation of life, she could be liked and praised by people and it would give him more of the attention he desires as he can take credit as her genius creator. It tracks with how all the reasons he praises Sage is for her use to him and it's yet another way to benefit.
OH and also, going by my theory for why his thoughts on Gerald are so different compared to Maria but have the same reasoning behind them, unlike her he can actually take pride in Sage for her similarities because he actually created her! While with Maria he couldn't relate like he could to Gerald, so he resented her. This adds up way too well holy shit
He could also brag that Sage is superior to Maria and use it as proof he was always more worthy of attention because she was created by him and in a real genius way with code and electrons, like he says in memo 19, and that she can't get sick and die like her. He'd definitely stoop that low, especially with how much of an asshole he is about it already hehe >:)
Can you tell I just really love diving deep into his mindset, attitude, and perception of himself and others and finding ways it's consistent in both his past and present? XD I'm super interested in the smallest things they let us know about his past/childhood and how he feels about his family too. I'm also going to be sharing some more analysis on his feelings on Gerald soon. ^^

"tried to convince me that Koga would be a good father figure to Inuyasha's daughter"
I'm sorry, what? Is that true? I don't watch Trashahime and never will but I could've sworn the show had Koga abandon Moroha to a life of slavery. Which sounds like a shitty thing to do. But hey this is Trashahime we're talking about, they very well wrote that situation and still painted him as a good dad. 🙄
They've already tried painting Sesshomaru as a good dad, husband and person/demon despite everything he's done.
Sorry, I should've been more clear. Yes, that is what happened. In S2 it's explained that Hachi was the one who chose to bring Moroha to Koga (don't try to make it make sense, IT DOESN'T). Then Koga sends Moroha to be mentored by dumb wolf lady and then she sells Moroha to pay off her debt. Father of the century.
Going on a rant because this still gets me so heated because 1) it's so stupid and 2) the way the fandom just ate this up is BS because IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE.
That comment was more of a response to the dozens upon dozens of posts and fanart I've seen of Kogag, who I absolutely despise for his general lack of respect towards Kagome's boundaries, and Moroha. Him being her "uncle" (which I absolutely roll my eyes at as an adopted kid because while I hate that Kogag raised Moroha with a thousand suns, HE IS STILL HER DAD IN THAT SITUATION, HE DID THE HARD WORK, MOROHA WOULD LIKELY CALL HIM "DAD").
When it came out that Koga was the one who had raised Moroha, the response from the Inuyasha fandom was; OH MY GOD, SO CUTE, LOL I BET INUYASHA HATED IT, HAHAHAHAHAHA, I WONDER IF SHE CALLS HIM DAD, INUYASHA IS GOING TO LOSE IT. Hilarious. At the time, I was like "I highly doubt that Inuyasha would've been comfortable with Koga raising Moroha considering their history and if Kagome didn't take his opinion into consideration before sending Moroha there that makes her an asshole." Because it does. Choosing the person who is going to raise your child in these circumstances is an important decision, and Inuyasha would've had just as much of a say as Kagome. And the response to the whole "she was sold" was "Koga would never just let Moroha be sold" when lol, yeah he would. Inuyasha's daughter? You know, that guy he called half breed and mutt all the time?
(tbc Kagome obviously didn't know that Koga would be the one chosen because it was Hachi who chose Koga, again, it doesn't make sense, don't even try)
Koga doesn't tell Moroha any stories about her parents, which as an adopted kid I will tell you; SHE DEFINITELY ASKED. So he denied her information about them, meaning that it's not a stretch in the Yashahime timeline he has spent decades bitter over Kagome not choosing him. I thought my opinion of the man couldn't get any lower.
Honestly Koga was a terrible choice to raise Moroha, whether it was Kagome or Hachi who made that decision. He lives out in the middle of nowhere, there's no guarantee he could protect Moroha from being bullied by the rest of the wolf tribe (just because he and Ayame changed their mind doesn't mean the rest of them did), and he has absolutely no experience in dog demon powers/culture, half demon issues, raising humans (MOROHA IS 3/4s HUMAN and may even be less powerful that the average wolf demon) or spiritual energy. (It makes even less sense being Hachi that picked Koga because DOES HACHI EVEN KNOW KOGA IN THE ORIGINAL but whatever).
MIROKU AND SANGO ARE RIGHT THERE AND THEY HAVE EXPERIENCE IN ALL THESE THINGS. The only excuse for this so far I've seen is that "well, Koga could probably handle demon abilities better" but WE'VE SEEN MIROKU PUT ON SEALS TO HELP WITH OUT OF CONTROL HALF DEMON ABILITIES??? They've delt with Inuyasha before? They have the most experience? Plus worst comes to worst, they have the option to give Moroha a sit collar of some kind to be used in drastic circumstances. (I should also mention that Moroha's trainer removed the seal that Kagome placed on her daughter to prevent Moroha from losing control, but yeah, lol, it would've been too dangerous to leave her with Miroku and Sango, who would've trusted Kagome.) Like this is such a nothingburger reason?
So yeah, it's less about Yashahime doing that, and more about the fandom's response to it being "so cute, makes sense!". But I have no doubt if Koga had appeared in the second season (thank the lord he has not and it doesn't look like he's going to) he would've been praised for being a great dad and Moroha would've been all over him, despite every single piece of evidence pointing to the contrary that Moroha wouldn't have fond memories of him. Because critical thinking, where?
I'm just super annoyed at the whole "Koga raised Moroha" thing because Koga never would've gotten Moroha in the first place. At the end of the day, he never actually knew Kagome, and she didn't know him; at best he liked the idea of her more than anything. They never spend more than like a week together at a time, and I don't know about you, but a guy I used to hang out with as a teenager does not qualify to be anywhere near any children I may have in the future. Sango and Miroku would've been first choice, Kaede second.
It was just a blatant excuse by the show to just bait us into thinking that Koga would come back. Moroha would've been left with Sango and Miroku, she would've had three siblings who would've adored her, and she would've grown up hearing story after story of her parents knowing that she is loved. And THATS why I don't accept Yashahime as canon.
Tumblr media
Also in the show Inukag can see Moroha growing up through a pool, and just the fact that Kagome didn't immediately climb up that mountaintop to give Kogag, lord shithead, a piece of her mind makes it fanfiction.
I'M BEGGING INUYASHA TO GO KILL HIM. BEGGING. He's the only one so far who has displayed any kind of anger towards Sesshomaru for what Moroha went through, and I'm convinced his wife has been bodyswapped. THAT'S NOT KAGOME! 🙃
Tumblr media
Anyway, this is a Koga hate page, my opinion of him is literally in hell, the fucking creep.
I have a very low opinion of Sesshomaru as well in the OG, so consider me a Sesshomaru hate page too. Oh wow, congrats, you've been nice to two kids. Give him a metal. 😑
(also I believe in the manga they've added in scenes of Kogag with Moroha being a dad and the fandom has been losing their mind at how "cute" it is and I'd find it a hell of a lot cuter IF IT MADE SENSE)

Eris getting some of Nesta's powers and his importance in the future
Y'all I'm 90% sure some of Nesta's power has been transferred to Eris, at first it occurred to me in a sort of "ha, could be" way but I'm pretty certain, hear me out! Also going to touch on the subject of Nesta not losing her powers completely.
The power in the dagger
Nesta Made the dagger and put some of her own power into it, and then Eris got that dagger as a present by Inner Circle, which wasn't really a necessary scene nor plot point unless you read between the lines.
KINGDOM OF ASH SPOILERS AHEAD!
We have seen the exact same thing in Kingdom Ash, Aelin lost all of her power but an ember, but beforehand put it in her sword Goldryn and whooped Maeve's ass, actually head lol, with it. Having power shoot out of her hands and her sword felt pretty much the same so I'm sure Nesta will be equally powerful in the next book! Not only does she have a bit of her power left, three weapons filled with her power, and the Dread Trove. Nesta is still the most powerful character 😎
If Nesta can put some of her power into a weapon, it doesn't seem like a stretch at all for the power in the weapon to get out and into a person.
Eris only pretended to be influenced by Koschei
This one was kinda obvious to me from the moment I read it, no psychoanalyzing needed.
Nesta and her weapons were said to "probably" grant immunity from Koschei's power because they were both Made, and Eris had the dagger while he when he was captured.
Tumblr media
Every person that has been possessed by Koschei has been said to have glassy eyes, EVERYONE except Eris!
Eris's soldiers had glassy eyes.
Bellius had glassy eyes.
Cassian had glassy eyes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eris is the only "possessed" person to get "accidentally" caught.
Eri's soldiers said nothing, and it was Briallyn who reveal that Bellius and Cassian were possessed.
Out of Cassian, Bellius, Eris, and his soldiers, Eris is undoubtedly the slickest and most cunning one. Comparison between him and Cassian has been dragged throughout the whole book, while Cassin is the muscle, Eris plays mind games and politics.
Tumblr media
ERIS IS THE MASTER AT WORD GAMES! How did Cass and Az realize he was possessed and therefore Koschei being there? THROUGH ERIS USING A WORD GAME he knew only Cass and Az will pick up on.
Tumblr media
Are y'all trying to tell me that Eris, who supposedly had immunity from the Koschei's power, didn't show the only sign of being possessed which is glassy eyes, had accidentally said something that will let Cass and Az know he's "possessed"?
Golden flames
The word "flame" has been used in 4 different contexts throughout the book
a) actual fire in the fireplace
b) silver flames in Nesta's eyes
c) flames in Lucien's eyes
d) flames in Eris's eyes
We know that Autumn Court's power is fire, both Lucien and Eris were described to have red flames in their eyes, which is completely expected right?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eris was said to have flame/red flame multiple times, but I'm only allowed ten pics per post, and obviously not gonna put quotes of Nesta's silver flames cause it's literally the title lol.
Then, when Eris was "possessed" and held a dagger to Cassian's chest, it was said that flame rippled from it, and Cass didn't know if it came from the dagger itself or from Eris.
Tumblr media
My guess? Both or combined! When Eris received the dagger, he said that it has flame in it, and Eris is said to have had flames in his eyes previously.
Last but not least, AFTER Eris had been "possessed" and AFTER the dagger was returned to the Night Court, ERIS NOT LONGER HAS RED FLAME IN HIS EYES, BUT GOLD.
Tumblr media
This was in the penultimate chapter! Aka the chapter before the last. SJM always takes great care to put something important or foreshadowish at the end of each book. The last chapter was obviously Nessian and Archeron sisters, since it was the Nessian book and the three sisters are all finally happy together (plus announcing the next book as Elain's) but chapter before that... about Eris? Interesting.
There was so much about him there I for a second thought the next book is going to be about him lol. So much to unpack in that chapter:
Eris was tortured by his father for information (which I think is the hint for Eris not being possessed).
Eris still insists there are some things about him and Mor that Mor hasn't told the Inner Circle.
He wants to explain something to Mor.
He obviously just wants to be friends with the Inner Circle (but that's a discussion for another post).
Cassian, who hates Eris with burning passion throughout the whole book, says he thinks Eris is a good guy, but is too much of a coward to act like it.
It was hinted that Beron did much worse things to Eris during his life, "The male had been raised with every luxury and privilege - on paper. But who knew what terrors Beron had inflicted upon him? Cassin knew Beron had murdered Lucien's lover. If the High Lord of Autumn had been willing to do that, what wouldn't he do?" If you ever read any SJM serials you would know that this wasn't put here just because, it's always foreshadowing with her.
"Because it doesn't add up. You know what a monster your father is and want to usurp him; you act against him in the best interests of not only the Autumn Court but all of the faerie lands; you risk your life to ally with us... and yet you left her in the woods." - Cassian. Do you see all the material for the future book?
"Eris crossed his arms, then winced. As if whatever injuries lay beneath his immaculate clothes ached." I THINK THIS IS A DESCRIPTION OF NOT ONLY ERIS'S CURRENT SITUATION, BUT HIS WHOLE LIFE. As Cass said, born in luxury, raised by a monster.
Eris is generally very fucked up? Not only was it in this last chapter, but it was stated multiple times that his upbringing really damaged him. When Cassian was surprised by the fact Beron tortured him, Eris responded with: "Get that pitying look off your face. I know what sort of creature my father is. I don't need your sympathy." That is an extremely fucked up way to respond to being tortured by one's father, and implicates he was subjected to similar misery earlier in his life.
"Nesta could see he didn't believe them - that he was so used to twisted politics and scheming of his court that even when the simple, easy truth was offered, he could not see it." Again, very messed up mindset, which in the author's language means writing material.
The last line said to Eris in the book is: "Eris was still their ally. Was willing to be tortured to keep their secrets. And Cassian didn't need to be a courtier to know his next words would slice deep, but it would be a necessary wound. Perhaps it would be enough to push him in the right direction. "You know, Eris, I think you might be a decent male, deep down, trapped in a horrible situation." He looked over his shoulder to find Eris's gaze blazing again. But only pity stirred in his chest, pity for a male who has been born into riches, but had been destitute in every way that truly mattered. In every way Cassian had been blessed - blessings that were now overflowing. So Cassian said; "I grew up surrounded by monsters. I've spent my existence fighting them. And I see you, Eris. You're not one of them. Not even close. I think you might even be a good male. You're just too much of a coward to act like it." This was said by Cassian, whom Eris insulted every time they interacted, who hurt his sister, who wanted to steal his mate, whom Cassian said he wanted to kill or leave to die on so so many occasions, who made Cassian feel stupid and insecure every chance he had, and yet Cass of all people found it in his big good heart to see the good in Eris and try to push him to be good.
And now, his eyes burn with golden flames.
There is so so much to unpack and reveal about Eris's character, and SJM couldn't be more obvious with pointing it out. He is definitely going to play a huge role in the next book(s). With his possible new powers, overthrowing Beron, healing from all the emotional and physical trauma inflicted upon him, revealing a lot of secrets he's been keeping, and finding a way to show his true colors.
Also I think Nesta might be the one to help him with it because she at some point says that she deserves to marry him because "she is just like him", and not only in a way that they both insulted Cassian. They both had/had demanding parents which made them cold and unfeeling, preferring to appear as assholes because they don't want and don't know how to be their true kind selves. I think she would a great friend and the best person to help him deal with everything.
And the way Eris obviously likes her which we've seen when they were dancing. How he saw that she really liked spinning around so he went out of his way to spin her on multiple occasions even though it wasn't in the dance protocol. I'm pretty sure that was his way of getting closer to her because he obviously can't do it with words.

God Michael! 🤣🤣 I finished playing Shadows of Saintsfour about two days ago during the Freeplay event and my LI was Michael.
I played SOS awhile ago but didn't get pass season 1 because I thought the series was super predictable which made it boring, but WOW DID IT PICK UP IN SEASON 2, esp 3!!! I can't believe it got better within those 2 seasons. I thought the story would be dragging on for no reason, but was pleasantly surprised that season 3 and season 2 were tied together with 1. And they existed in one cohesive story! I can't believe that I would have never, and I mean NEVER, would have touched this story again if it wasn't for the Freeplay event. I completely underestimated this story... I would have missed out this gem. Now I see why this is one of the more well-liked and popular book of the app now.
That being said, I love Michael. No not love, I ADORE him. Seriously.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I never screencap game moments but I had to for Michael. I never felt so much adoration for a character that made me want to do this 🤣🤣. I love the romantic scenes between MC and Michael and the conflict that was presented in season 2. And his asshole-douchery flaw....
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In his next line, he says he's worried about you. He's just worried, but still Michael, no need to bring your girlfriend's friend down. ESPECIALLY WHEN THAT FRIEND HAS BEEN WITH HER THROUGH THE THICK AND THIN THAN YOU DID IN SEASON 2 and 1!!! (ofc Michael saved MC's life in season 1, but Derek has been sticking with MC when Michael hasn't, which is alot)
However, his sweetness towards MC is altogether too much. I wish he had more interaction with her friends tbh. But now I present the last line (I think) and perhaps the best from Michael...
Tumblr media
So sweet 💕. Gosh he is still fallen head over heels for us 😳😭 like the first time. The sex scene with him was also so sweet... the line said everytging about him is familiar, yet there is something new to discover. 🥺I love how protective he is of MC and how absolutely loyal he is to her. He runs away with her FFS!!!! He leaves a gang and family with an equally traumatized brother just to be with her. He leaves everything for MC and if that doesn't scream Bae material, I don't know what else. He is the epitome of a ride or die partner and I cannot, I don't think, can feel the same attachment to the other LI's in this book. Probably John though lol.
I was super anxious during the train station scene because I thought I didn't have enough points with Michael for him to run away with me and the writers made it seem so, so I tapped pretty fast, half reading the lines in trepidation. When I read that he actually came and then we held hands as the train departed... my heart... 😭💔💔💔💔 RC don't play with my heart like that 🤣🤣🤣
That aside, I wish Michael had a bigger role in season 1, 2, and 3. He did in season 1, but he stopped appearing frequently, esp in 2 and 3. I thought he would appear more often because he's MC's bf. And it would make more sense for both of them to search together. Even unromanced, it would still make sense for Michael to hang with MC's group because they're the only ones who are really actively looking for Bobby. This would have led to more dynamics and interest in MC's friend group..alas, this didn't happen. A missed opportunity IMO but I suppose his absence could be explained by this: he has his own life. Lol. Or a different way of doing things. Still doesn't really make sense to me, but oh well. I still very enjoy his route and his development nonetheless.
I also wish other LI's had more moments with MC. I heard Stephanie was sidelined, not sure though because it was as though the main love interests would only appear around the time our chosen love interest appears. Not sure how much that is true since in season 1 I didn't romance her. Strange how she barely appeared in my route though. I thought she would help us more or become part of the gang, but she didn't. Disappointed because I would have def liked another best friend besides Candy and again, more layer to the friend group. Her interaction with Michael would have def be interesting.
I also wish that non-romanced main love interests appeared more than the Black dragons. To me, I don't think their role fit with the story very well if you think about it. Luke and Stephanie def would. Stephanie's grandma is acquainted with Mrs. Hill and is a witch; Luke's family's hold over the cursed painting. I wish the black dragons' appearances were at least shared with the non-romanced ones. Like I wish I knew what Luke and Stephanie were up to in detail. It was seriously strange for Luke to not be around when Bobby was missing and that he never tried contacting us. In both seasons 2 and 3, I couldn't stop wondering what they were up to and missed them (although Luke drugged us lol).
So imo, the black dragons' role should def be less than Luke and Stephanie. Definitely weird, but it is what it is.
Speaking of the Black Dragon's, Aaron is a hot daddy. Like GOD DAMN. I couldn't help but flirt and kiss with him although I was scared that it might ruin my relationship with Michael 🤣🤣🤣. Cherry.. i would like cherry if he was drawn better. At first, I couldn't like him because of his sprite but his personality is ahh, so mischievous, I love it. I would have picked Aaron over cherry though LOL.
I would replay season 3 to romance them again, but the scenes are very few and I already played most of them. I'm just missing their final sex scenes really, so it's not really worth it to replay the entire season just to get their ending and final sex scene lol.
I can't bear to cheat on Michael with Aaron or cherry, I can't do him dirty like that. Like for FFS, Aaron married Luke's sister and we never, at least imo, build the same heart wrenching connection we do with Michael compared to them. And the fact that he freaking left everything in his life for 10 years to be with us!! Like nooo I can't!! 🤣🤣 there aren't enough scenes with the side characters to justify the cheating 🤣🤣 Michael is too gentle and sweet for the hurt.... but i did cheat on him with Derek HAHHAHA mostly because 1996 Michael wasn't available so I thought something happened so I was like ALRIGHT GUESS WE FUCKIN'. I was tempted to choose Derek over Michael because Derek has been with us more than Michael has. Not to mention, he really cares for MC. Wish there was a 3p ending with both of them 😭😭 they're both super loyal to MC and would lay their life down for her.
The same thing with John too. I can't bear to see Michael grieving over MC and MC picking John over him... can you imagine Michael dying and finally seeing his dearly desired dead gf in DreamWorld but only to see her gettin' it down with some guy who tried to kill everyone in the past? 🤣🤣🤣 nah man I can't do him dirty, especially when Michael saved us from the Faun. Speaking of that event, it was weird that there wasn't a conversation/consequence from Michael who saw John kiss us LOL. And he definitely heard us talking about the intimate moments we shared HAHAHAHA. Though, John's short route is terribly cute. I really enjoyed it tbh. Surprised that we didn't have any repercussions for cheating on Michael with him. Moving on, I watched his ending on YouTube and it was super bittersweet.😭
I honestly like his route a bit more than Aaron's. Or equally. Can't decide! Aaron's route is basically MC still in love with her old crush who used to intimidate her and was exciting since he's someone you wouldn't acquaint yourself with, especially as a young, inexperienced student. And then coming back as a mature woman, and still knowing that you're in love with him and he is still too, ah so cute. That moment you share with him in the snow on the swings 💕💕. Honestly I feel like that moment MC needed a proper adult figure to comfort her so that scene was a bit weird and made me think, hm, MC is probably crushing on him because he is older, hot, and is sort of providing a parental comfort to her lol. In my HC universe, MC crushes on him, but it quickly dies because she was vulnerable in the moment. I'm happy that that moment didn't escalate any further and that Aaron didn't chase MC unless MC did in the end. It would have been very weird because it would have been a moment where he, as an adult figure, take advantage of MC. Then again, it's fantasy/fiction. To each to their own eh? I still enjoyed it. I honestly could personally relate to the line where Mc says that the experience and age (something like this) provided comfort to her, so that moment felt awfully sweet to me.
In the end, there could only be so much you can push in in a story game app.
I still really enjoyed this story. Despite the flaws I pointed out, I love this story to every bits. I find this much more entertaining than SOTF, so I'm glad that it is written the way it is. Perhaps I should write a post about SOTF in the future since I'm close to finishing it, but I don't think I will since I don't like it much.

I keep trying to rack my brain and figuring out what Sidney ever saw in Eliza? I know people change over time and ten years ago she might have been different but the way she is now just seems like a snobbish and calculating person, who either only wants to be with Sidney so that her social standing can rise even more of she wants to be with up so Charlotte can't. The differences between Eliza and Charlotte couldn't be clearer.
I mean, I think everyone is being really presumptive about a character we’ve barely seen on screen, tbh.  It definitely has nothing to do with her social standing; her previous marriage apparently didn’t make her noble, but it did make her VERY rich, whereas Sidney seems to be new money upper middle class-ish and he doesn’t have a title.  That does nothing for her.  And people don’t fall in love with the same type of person over and over.  Sidney could have genuinely loved Eliza, who seems to be pretty popular among her peers and is probably witty--she’s definitely snarky lol, which tells me that she’s probably got a sarcastic sense of humor--as that’s something wealthy society valued during the era.  Charlotte has her own qualities that he’s fall in love with, and Eliza had hers which he fell in love with as well.
And like... Kind of aloof, snobbish, asshole-ish, snarky?  Who does that sound like?  Sidney and Eliza probably have a LOT more in common on the surface than Sidney and Charlotte do, and people are often drawn to each other through surface qualities.  Now, Charlotte and Sidney may be more compatible on a deeper level, but I don’t think it’s hard to believe that Sidney would have fallen for Eliza years ago.
Is it so hard to believe that Eliza and Sidney were a couple of like, vivacious and charismatic young hot people who wanted each other and fell in love?  Tom said that he became a very different person, and I imagine that she did too.  I mean, she made the call--but both had to deal with things.  I imagine that being married to a really old man and having to give up a certain measure of freedom--while regretting giving up the person you love--would change you.
But like?  I don’t really appreciate the idea of pitting Eliza and Charlotte against each other as Good Virgin against Evil Whore.  It’s really reductive, for one thing, even if Eliza is a one note villain. I’m probably going to enjoy the hell out of her if she is a one note villain.  However, Eliza making an upwardly mobile decision years ago at a time when that was the norm doesn’t make her an evil person.  And though I do think she’s probably smart enough to connect that she’s basically buying Sidney in marriage, as she was--he has different reasons for doing what he did than her own, but I can see where she’d be able to justify “buying” Sidney because...  Well, the same thing happened to her and it wasn’t that weird.  Fortune-hunting men weren’t exactly unusual for the time.  I’m sure she’s experienced her fair share of them; and though she’s familiar enough with Sidney to know the truth on some level, a lot of people are going to lump him in with those types of men.  And she’ll go with it.
Charlotte, while a very good person, is not perfect, and I just don’t want to focus on this idea of her being sooooOOO much better than Eliza and infallible.  It sets this expectation that Charlotte can’t make mistakes and bad decisions, or simply selfish ones.  Also, I don’t think that Eliza’s move has ANYTHING to do with Charlotte.  It’s all about Sidney.  She thinks they can still be in love, she misses him, she misses all the shit he did to her--Charlotte only registers to Eliza when she’s physically present.  It’s not a vindictive move towards Charlotte; though she’ll definitely flaunt having Sidney before her as a reminder to step off lol.  Let us not forget, Sidney’s a straight 10.
I mean, I’d also like to add that few people seem to acknowledge the fact that like........... Lady Denham is the true Wicked Woman in all of this.  Had she not threatened to have Tom hauled off to the debtors’ prison and been, like............... more reasonable............. and not a horrid racist asshole who somehow gets a pass because people think she makes funny jokes about a pineapple once in a while............................... Sidney wouldn’t have done what he did.  So there’s that.  Which I feel should be acknowledged.

So I went and saw Father Stu
So I'm going to write something of a little review of it, because I slept like garbage last night thinking about it. However, I'll just say my standards for food and movies are not very high. Also I couldn't hear a good third of the dialogue because I have auditory processing difficulties and the theater I went to was shit.
So it is a true story about a real priest, who was a Montana boxer and died of body myositis in 2014 after he converted to Roman Catholicism for his then girlfriend. I think the fact that it was a true story really makes the movie. If it wasn't a true story, it would just be kind of oscar-bait about an asshole (who swears so, so much) finding redemption in the Church. Which is fine, I guess, but there's so much more to the story, and the man behind it.
I'll start by saying the soundtrack was fantastic. The aesthetic, beautiful. It was like Last of Us southern gothic guitar plucking meets Johnny Cash, Elvis, Conway, and Dolly. *chefs kiss* I can't find the tracklist ANYWHERE tho and it's driving me crazy. I don't know anything about y'all's beef with Mark Wahlburg or Mel Gibson, the only movie I've seen either of them in prior to this was Braveheart lol. I thought they were good in the movie. Big respect for Wahlburg for actually financing the movie himself, I heard that's just not something you do in the movie industry. Also he actually put on like 25lbs to play Stu accurately and that's wild. The effect was striking.
The character development and just the characterizations in general I think were also a high point in the movie. Nobody was set up as perfect, to be put on a pedestal. Stu fought and drank and swore and drove drunk and manipulated prior to his conversion. The woman he stalked to church (yes yes problematic dick move) wasn't portrayed as perfect, goodness knows the Catholic Church wasn't, and I think that's right. They were all real people, who hurt when hurt and tried and protect the wrong things and misplaced priorities sometimes. That's refreshing to see in the theater, in this age of Marvel and Disney.
I think there were some parts that were a little much, like definitely oscar-bait-y, like one scene has him kneeling and praying in the sanctuary of his LA parish in the middle of the night praying and crying and yelling, like idk it's hard for me to take a scene like that seriously in a film. I get what it was trying to accomplish, of course, to show Stu's wrestling with God in the trial he's having to face in life, and that's significant, but it just fell a bit flat to me there. I couldn't tell you why though.
Now I am not catholic myself (yet), I'm a...baptist? Ish. But I've got catholic friends and I've done my homework, and as far as I've been able to tell, the theology was also good and sound. They got the important bits right as far as the gospel, the office of the priesthood, confession, and stuff like that. That's rare. We also get to see Stu struggling with those various concepts before he actually comes to understand them, which is great. I'm so encouraged to be seeing a faith-based film in theaters that's actually real and kind of relatable and fun to see, just like any other movie. Like the Chosen. Fabulous.
Overall, I enjoyed it. I'd see it again (with subtitles).
