Doctor who let doctor who (the show) move on from rose Tyler challenge impossible (derogatory)
#rose tyler stans I really dgaf who you have to say. this post isnât for you#anti rose tyler#I get the whole haunted narrative trope and I love it to an extent when itâs a character that I like but they over do it with her#like no other companion gets brought up that much and there where other important companions in different way#and what gets me is that rosexdoctor ships are so passive over the doctor like heâs never been in love before and heâll never be again#because rose was his one true love#and they hate river with a passion#and they ignore every other bond that was great for the doctor#and how they treated Martha for simply having a crush was abysmal#itâs like the writers knew it they wrote the doctor returning her feelings it would be war#even in the slightest

the empty frame in bobbys castle tower is a metaphor for jaiden and roiers family. they shared a house a bed items son, roier showed her his basement, melissa, his betrayal scars, and his home that was meant to be a community house. and jaiden couldnt fully believe she wasnt taking too much when it was her house! it was her base too! she moved out of the home she was building to move in with roier but she still felt like an intruder to her own home! she saw it as a temporary home for until she could move out and build her own base. but she still cared for and accepted every part of roier. and roier loved jaiden back too! when they died in that airship, he cleared out the dungeon and gave jaiden armor and spirit orbs and when jaiden accepted his anger and blame it just fizzled out. jaiden understands. so then roier left a empty frame at the bottom of the tower for jaiden to fill whenever she came back and they laughed and joked while tucking bobby in and jaiden said i bet you a hundred million dollars we'll see bobby tomorrow and roier said are you sure and it was a joke and then tomorrow came and jaiden was an hour too late. and then roier joked and laughed and when jaiden came and he had to break the news he couldn't anymore. because with jaiden roier can let down the jokes and with roier jaiden can be sure he has her back and support and when jaiden fell off the edge roier jumped down to join her before she could even say anything and they had pvp lessons together and a heart to heart as the sun rised and in the end the community house lays abandoned and bobby fields is filled with copies of the best day they had together and the attic is never looked at again and the top floor of bobbys tower isnt either.
#o'-|-<#im missing some things and my words are toomany but JAIDEENNNNNROIERERRRR AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA#I dont want to write it like Oh jaiden has to do all the emotional work for ro because shes a girl that NOT their dynamic at all.#i dont know how to write my feelings about jaiden and roier. but this is close enough#bc they were both so lonely youknow? and for a long time j felt like she had only ro and a few acquaintances#it wasnt until after bobby died that she opened up to the rest of the server and even then she faced some issues#(all cubito btw all rol. incase that wasnt clear :P)#and like with ro he only showed his true basement to those he trusted. which was j bobby and eventually cb.#and he showed melissa to his friends but the ones who reacted positively were j who hyped her up and cb who also hyped her up even though s#he doesnt actually know yet lol#they looked for ingridents for absurd amount of time... j was so confident in ro she was so relieved when he appeared with sl attacked#and the rose fields. the best day on the server for jaiden was adventuring with bobby and roier and taking pictures with gifts.#and they both loved her so much. remember how bobby caught every hummingbird around bc j said she liked them#the pizzas in the cabin#Im so chill. :D#kb.jaiden#kb.roier

The crew & using toys on their S/O in bed please with a cherry on top??
First time writing the whole crew kinda nervous đ€đ€ I'm not writing Swansea tho I will NOT be writing nsfw of a married man
Tw/cw; Afab!reader, winners love winning in Anyas hcs (use of the term pillow princess), jorkinit jumpscare
Not proofread
Curly
I'm actually not sure if he'd be into toys
I've literally only written for Curly so I'd say I'm a Curly expert, and I just don't think he'd be into toys
He'd use a vibrator on you every now and then, but he'd just use it to tease you and make you beg for him.
He'd probably use cock rings. I am a firm believer Curly would use cock rings. Not all the time, but if he's had a really stressful day at work, he's wanting an extra hard hitting orgasm.
Omg not a toy but APHRODISIACS!!! This man would go crazy for some aphrodisiacs, whether he's taking it or you are.
Now I wanna write a wedding night one shot with Curly and aphrodisiacs thanks a lot anon đđđ I've got enough shit to write already
Anya
I don't care what any of you say this woman is a pillow princess
YOU'D be using toys on HER
She'd also be a cryer but that's not the point
She'd have a drawer dedicated to sex toys. She's trying to get into med school, she's CONSTANTLY stressed, how else is she supposed to release some of that stress? Don't judge her.
She wouldn't be into straps or dildos, she'd be into shit that vibrates. Vibrators obviously, rose toys, anything that stimulates the clit honestly
I lied she is into dildos this woman is a sucker for a RABBIT!!! Like I said, if it vibrates, she wants it.
Her favorite combo is the rose toy/vibrator + pussy licking. She cums so fast, then gets embarrassed, then begs for more. Praise her a bunch and she'll be able to go a few more rounds
BONUS CONTENT!!; she has a Christina and Princess Albertina, no further comments
Daisuke
Oh yeah, he's using toys.
He has a tongue piercing and sometimes he'll swap it out for a bar that vibrates but y'all aren't ready for that convo
He's gonna use the basic toys, nothing we haven't gone over yet. Vibrators, rose toys, cock rings, ect. He's just trying to figure out what he likes for right now, and he likes all of them
In missionary, he'd hold either a vibrator or rose up to your clit while he fucks you. Kind of uncomfortable as a position, but if it gets you off, it's worth it to him.
Not sure if this is considered a toy but he'd be interested in sounding. He's definitely had you try it on him once or twice, and he never lasts for more than a minute đ poor boy
He's just trying new things out. He's new to having a committed relationship, so anything you'd be into, he'd be willing to try. He'd let you peg him if you wanted, but don't ask me to write that.
My pegging days are over
Jonathan
The kinkiest cunt that ever cursed this god forsaken ship
Toys are a must have for him. On you, not him. He only likes using them on you, because it gives him a sense of power over you.
He'd be one of those assholes that would put a bluetooth vibrator in your panties and wait till you're in public to turn it on the highest setting. Like an asshole
Jizzdaddy would have a lot of toys. He'd have one of those robotic dildo setups that like.. idk does the thrusting how the fuck do I explain this????
You guys get what I mean if you've ever been on a porn site you've seen one
Anyway, he'd have one of those setups and watch it fuck you. Ass up, head down, grasping at whatever you could since HIS sadistic ass turned it up to the highest speed.
Eventually hed get pissed off and fuck you himself, claiming that you love the toy more than you love him đ the allegations are true but he doesn't have to know that
He'd also use plugs on you. In public, too. He doesn't care. If you humiliate yourself, that's your fault, not his.
vibrators are used during sex, nothing new. But it's the same situation as before. Claiming you love the toy more than him, so he stops using it.
Sometimes he'll just give in though and decide he doesn't care, and wants to tease you more than anything. Highest speed it can go, or the slowest. No in-between. He'll have you begging one way or another.
Chat I hate writing rough characters someone request ooc soft Joshua hcs so I can write him like I do Curly đđđ

>> hsr men x reader
Character : Dr ratio, Gallagher, Sunday, aventurine, argenti, blade, Dan heng, Mr reca, Jing yuan, gepard, luocha, welt and boothill.
May contain NSFW content
â ïž Minors do not interact please â ïž
Edit 1 : due to some grammar error I make, I change some of the words for my mistake

Dr ratio switch in my heart, there's always two outcomes when it comes into smashing, one of you guys are gonna lose and drain while the other one basks in light and happiness, and after smashing he will return back into his studies or he will teach you about his new theories while you just lay their exhausted. Or the other outcome where you win, his face would be covered in red and you would occasionally tease him while he muffled a shut up with his exhausted voice.
Gallagher immediately made your favorite drink for you after the deed was done, and sometimes when the bar is empty and no one would be seen. You and him would sneak into the back to have your break time together. He would compliment how amazing you were and how he wants to do it again but both of you have shifts in the bar so you guys have to continue it later on.
Sunday would be a blushing mess, even before him joining the astral express he would have some knowledge about intercourse but have never experienced it, but when you came along you have open his eyes into a new world of pleasure, during a session you would occasionally kiss the piercing on his wings and that would cause him to blush and cover his with his wings. And right now he's very much wishes to learn more about this new world.
Aventurine, very much love to tease you. He would put unnecessary bets so you and him would do it, every time he wins a game he would say you are his grand price after a big game. He would be smirking the entire time after finishing. Originally I like the idea of him actually being nervous of initiating intimacy due to his past but you made him feel secure and complete he completely learned how to open up. And when you kiss his mark he would immediately ingulp you in a big hug seeking your comfort.
Argenti, would praise you non stop about how beautiful you were and everything about you. He would start to worship you similar to how he worships idrila one time during a climax, he thought he saw the light and fully convinced you were the reincarnation of idrila. The bed would be covered with rose petals and both of you are lying there, he with a satisfied smile while you with a tired look .
Blade, he pretty much doesn't know how to initiate aftercare with you but he tried his best. He would wipe you with a warm cloth around your body making sure you're comfortable in any position although cannot say the same thing about your body after being twisted and moved into different positions during the entire duration of the time. He would also bring your favorite food. Pretty much sure he can go for more than another round but doesn't want to exhaust you. Even worse when his mara struck is awake you won't be walking anytime soon.
Dan heng, would brew tea for both of you making sure you are comfortable. Making sure your comfortable and warm by using the pillows of the astral express and when he's in heat you and him would stay in his room for a week with food being delivered into your rooms the best part of the archives that it sound proof making sure no one knows your business and during intimacy he would let his vividyahara self out because his comfortable with you in his true form.
Mr reca would praise you about your performance and immediately start clapping after the deed was done. Would make love scenes inspired by you guys or record to watch over and over again. He said it's a masterpiece on how both of you guys move in sync as well how angelic your voice is. Would write about a Script describing how perfect you were during intimacy. As well as talking about his new movie ideas with you during finishing or aftercare.
Jing yuan, would immediately fall asleep and give you a death grip hug. His hair is disheveled and sleep with a satisfied look as if he just finish having the best time in his and when you wake up he would be admiring you as if he had been admiring you for hours and if there's ever work the day after, he would arrive a little late due not wanting to leave you or would go to work not without leaving a note and a goodbye kiss on your fore head there's food and tea ready for you to wake up. He's very clingy post intimacy.
Gepard, a blushing mess, even tho his the captain of the silver man guards he is a total puppy in the sheets very much and you treat him with so much love and caress his body with so much love he would explode any second if not, would be very red in the face and shy. He so cute, he would not initiate intimacy in public but you would usually visit him to drop his lunch and it will always end up him a blushing mess and tired.
Luocha, a Disney princess, his hair spread along the sheets with his hand over his head and breathing heavily. Even in this state he would still be very beautiful like a flower, would initiate after care by healing your bruises if he ever went overboard. Would bring you hot water for your throat after being exhausted and stretched. Would leave kisses around your body.
Welt, this old man. Very clingy after intimacy would hug you 24/7 as well sometimes being awkward sense he doesn't know how to react. He would be very disheveled after intimacy and would initiate cuddling. He doesn't want to let you go after you guys came together this is perfect for him. A perfect scenario and perfect dream.
Boothill, right back at ya partner, you guys know the song saves a horse ride a cow boy well that's him. Every time if he wants Intimacy he would put his cowboy hat on your head and that's to give you the idea of what he wants. You are his reward and sun for him. After intimacy his hard drive would be overstimulated and you would be wearing his cowboy hat.

A Venus & Mars mini series
pairing: General Acacius x virgin!wife!Reader
content warning(s): reader insert, no use of y/n, arranged marriage, implied age gap but nothing specific, oral (f recieving), fingering, loss of virginity, piv sex, innocence kink, self indulgent praise kink, Acacius definitely talks you through it, discussions of consent because consent is sexy mandatory, discussion of future sexual acts, AFTERCARE because aftercare is hot, general acacius is in loooooove but doesn't know it yet haha, romantic and intimate as hell, grievous historical inaccuracy because it's fucking fanfiction, canon divergent because duh
a/n: So guys. I saw Gladiator II and it was awesome and Pedro Pascal is the sexiest man alive (in my heart). However, this character's name is not Marcus. I don't know who lied, but we've all been fooled. So in this sequel, the general's name is just Acacius in order to stay at least a little bit true to the actual canon.
I definitely will be writing for these two again because holy shit I made this romantic and I love them so much.
Read wedding night (1) here!
Read bloodlust here!
---
Acacius saw heaven in your eyes, a piece of salvation he never thought he might be able to grasp with his blood-stained hands.
He glanced down your body, wrapped beautifully in your white wedding gown, gold jewelry shining in warm candlelight. For a moment, he wondered Venus herself were tricking him with her immortal seduction.
But the blush of red in your cheeks, the shine of desire in your eyes, the beat of your heart in your chest....
No immortal possibly could mimic such evidence of true, temporary, and precious life.
Acacius had been with plenty women in his lifetime, had thought he understood what desire was.
I want you, you had said.
Now, he thinks he's only scratched the surface.
---
The general-- Acacius -- peered at you like a starving man at a feast, drinking you in, turning the wheels in his head of what he wanted to do first.
He grasped your hand in both of his, studying the golden band on your ring finger. Evidence of your gods-blessed union.
"I want to see you wearing nothing.... except for this," Acacius breathed, his voice low, and dreamy, like the words were slipping from him with no control.
"I'd like that very much," you said, trying to keep your hand from trembling under his touch.
"May I strip you bare, darling?" He asked, calloused fingertips fiddling with the clasp on your golden bracelet.
"Yes."
Instantly, the bracelet fell, and then the other, and then the other. Acacius' gentle touch drove you wild, methodical and sure. He stopped for a moment, glancing at the purity ring on your pinky, and smirked in a way that nearly made your knees buckle.
Glancing back up to your gaze, he held your stare as he pulled the purity ring off. His lips were a hairsbreadth away from yours, letting you smell the sweet cherry wine on his breath.
"Kiss me," you mumbled.
Acacius' smirk remained. "Patience, darling."
He tucked the purity ring into a pocket of his tunic, and turned you around, so your back pressed against his chest. A sigh caught in your throat, realizing he had turned you both to face the full-length mirror in the corner of the bedroom.
"Answer me honestly," he said, trailing one of his knuckles down the exposed skin of your spine. "Have you ever touched yourself?"
Heat rose to your cheeks, and you shivered at his light touch. "Uh..."
"Don't you lie to me, now. It's a great sin to lie to your husband," he whispered, his teeth nipping lightly at your ear.
"Yes."
"Yes, what?"
"Yes, I- I've touched myself. I've touched... my..."
"Your cunt?" Acacius mused.
You nodded, your chest rising heavily.
"Did you⊠like it? When you touched yourself?"
"N-no. I've been told it is not ladylike, to... pleasure yourself in that way."
Acacius kissed the back of your neck, making you arch into his touch. "Oh, my poor darling... there's nothing more ladylike in the world. Don't worry... I will show you how."
A full whimper escaped you at that, and Acacius undid the knots of your dress with a chuckle.
The dress fell, leaving you in only your loincloth, tied at your waist. But Acacius was looking at something else.
His eyes were transfixed on your perked breasts, his mouth slightly open as he wrapped one of his hands around the soft flesh. A high-pitched sigh left your throat, and he reached around with his other hand to take hold of the other breast.
"Do you like it when I hold you like this?" Acacius murmured, his mouth at your temple. He twitched his fingertips to pinch your nipples softly, making you close your eyes in pleasure. "Look at me."
Snapping your eyes open again, he stared you down in the mirror with a small devilish grin. He pinched your breasts again, pulling an answer from you. "Yes, Acacius."
"Good girl," he praised, your cunt throbbing at the words. He let go of your breasts, untying the cloth at your hips until you were utterly bare before him, save for your wedding ring. "Lie down on the bed, darling."
He brushed a palm over your plush backside, guiding you towards the beautiful linen bed. Plenty big for two.
You obey with a shy smile, sinking into the blankets and pillows like you were always meant to fit there. Watching from your comfortable bed, Acacius loomed over the foot, undoing buttons on his tunic, and ties on his robes.
Your lips parted slightly as he exposed the tan, scarred skin of his chest, flickering candlelight bathing him in a warm glow. He studied your expressions like a hawk, watching for any sign of discomfort or displeasure.
As he unlaced the toga and loincloth, leaving him as bare as you were, you had to keep yourself from gasping.
His cock hung heavily between his legs, not even fully aroused but still bigger than anything you had anticipated. He wrapped a hand around his manhood, smirking at your expression, but mercifully saying nothing about it.
âI am curious, my wife,â Acacius began, his voice a rumble. He pulled himself onto the marriage bed, caging you in the sheets with his arms and legs straddling. His eyes never left yours. âWhat did they say about me? When you learned of our union, what whispers crossed your ears?â
You licked your lips, speaking suddenly a challenge. âUm, that you w-were braveâŠâ
Acacius leaned down, pulling one of your legs over his broad shoulders.
ââŠand strongâŠâ
He mirrored the motion with your other leg, leaving your weeping cunt exposed.
ââŠa-andâŠâ
Acacius paused, waiting for your answer. âAnd?â
âGeneral, I shouldnât speak illâŠâ you moaned, wondering if one could combust with desire.
âTell me the truth, darling. Or you wonât get what you so eagerly want.â
âTh-they said you were cruel,â you stammered, desperately, any wall of self preservation coming down. âThey said you took anything you desired, washed your hands with blood, and violence was the only language you spoke. Your rage eclipses that of Achilles, and your eyes blacken every time you raise a banner. You are of Mars himself, shedding blood like you were born to it.â
Acaciusâ smirk from between your legs was wicked, and he broke your gaze for the first time since lying on the bed.
He studied your open cunt with a glazed expression, like he was lost in the pleasure of staring at your slick desire.
âIf I am of Mars then you are of Venus, my darling.â
His words filled you with affection, the way his knees bent on the bed almost like he was worshiping an altar between your legs.
âSo pureâŠâ he murmured, as if the words had slipped from his lips.
Your back arched like a bow as he licked a stripe up your soaking slit, sighs escaping from your throat.
Acacius hummed with delight, fucking you on his tongue lazily, drinking your desire like nectar of the gods.
You buried your hands in his hair hesitantly, unsure of what would be pleasing to him. In all the times you eavesdropped on the married women of the court, never once had they mentioned anything like⊠this. Never once had they mentioned any of the overwhelming pleasure racking every limb of your body. Never once had they mentioned the lightning erupting over your skin with every brush of his calloused palm.
Acacius trailed his hands down your arched torso, cupping your breasts as his mouth traced patterns over your cunt. Your breathy moans made him chuckle into your flesh, the vibrations making you lift your hips with pleasure.
Throbbing built in your pussy, clenching around his tongue as your desire jumped at every brush of his lips.
âA-Acacius, godsâŠâ you cried out, throwing your head back as a pinnacle raced towards you.
âRelax, my darling,â Acacius breathed, bringing one of his hands down to rest at your soft inner thigh. âIâm going to put my hands on you now.â
âOh, please,â you begged, unsure of what it was you were begging for.
âTell me if it becomes too much,â Acacius said, and his hand on your thigh moved.
The gentle brush of his rough fingertips on your slick folds had you gasping anew, pulling lightly on the locks of his hair.
âSuch a pretty cunt,â Acacius mumbled to himself. âI have half a mind to just keep you like this.â
You whined in protest, your hips chasing his touch.
âSo needy for a virgin.â
You threw your head back as his finger pushed past your slick folds, reaching spots inside of yourself that you hadnât known existed.
âOh, so tight, my love. You truly are pure.â Acacius curved his finger, brushing against something spongy, and sensitive. A guttural moan escaped your throat, and he laughed softly. âWhen the pleasure peaks, do not fight it. Let it take you away, somewhere only you and I exist.â
You nodded at his command, closing your eyes as your head sunk into the linen pillows.
Unrestrained cries erupted from you as he pulled his finger out, and in, and out again, hitting that sweet spot with every push inside of your aching cunt.
When he pressed his tongue to the bud at the top of your core, he pushed a second finger deep into your slick, making you wonder if the gods truly did become man. The stretch of his fingers pricked a pain deep within, making you clench tighter around his calloused fingertips. A slight brush of his rough facial hair against your core was your ultimate undoing.
You called out his name as the pleasure rushed down your spine, into your belly, and built in your desperate cunt. He knew it, too, and continued to thrust his fingers deep inside with renewed enthusiasm. His tongue licked against your clit with hunger, tipping you over the edge.
Cries escaped your lips as the pleasure overwhelmed you, every muscle in your body going taut as the desire took over. Your cunt clenched tightly, chasing his fingers, and your spire curved with tension as the wave of lust claimed you.
Acacius watched with a lazy smile as your core squeezed with your orgasm, evidence of your desire dripping off his lips.
âAcacius⊠AcaciusâŠâ you breathed as the climax subsided, your body relaxing into the bed once more.
âHow do you feel, darling?â Acacius asked, crawling back up to press his nose against yours. His brown eyes were dark, pupils blown wide with adoration.
In place of an answer, you buried your hands in his curly, soft hair, pressing his lips to yours. He responded instantly, capturing your mouth with the passion of love and war.
His tongue pushed against yours, pure want seeping from every brush of his lips against yours. You gasped as his hands cupped your hips gently, like he was making sure you were a solid thing he could hold in his hands. Like he was worried you might slip through his fingers.
âI want more,â you whispered against his mouth, and he nodded with his eyes closed, like he was dreaming.
âIt will hurt for a moment, but I will be gentle with you,â Acacius breathed, trailing light kisses against your throat. âTell me when there is pain, or if you wish to stop.â
You nodded against his temple, and he pulled his lips back instantly.
âSay you want me, darling. Say you will tell me to stop if you wish.â
The intensity in those brown eyes, the desperation, had you squirming with desire once again.
You held his face in your hands, tracing your thumb against his rough stubble, studying him.
Acacius' nose was utterly Roman, looking like it had possibly been broken once or twice. Every mark on him was evidence of a man that had seen the Underworld and walked away, but not without a few scars to show for it. Though he had been nothing but gentle with you, there was no doubt he could live up to his reputation of bloodletting.
Still, you held him close.
"I want you, Acacius. I will tell you to stop if I wish to." There was no hesitation, no tremor in your voice.
He sighed in relief, reaching down to his hard cock and bringing it between your legs. You whined at the sensitive touch, and he grunted at the slickness of your folds.
"So wet for me, darling, so perfect," he moaned in your ear, guiding the soft flesh of your thighs to wrap around his hips.
Tentatively, he rubbed his cock up and down your core, getting you accustomed to the blunt feeling. You whined breathlessly, near begging for him to fuck you already.
"Patience, darling. I need to go slow to not hurt you," he mumbled.
The blunt head of his cock pushed past your sensitive folds, and you dug your nails into the strong muscles of his back.
Acacius let out a guttural groan into the heated skin of your neck. "So wet, and tight."
You called his name like a prayer, your head tossed back in pain and pleasure. Over and over again, you called his name.
"A little more, easy, easy..." Acacius moaned, pushing further into your virgin cunt.
You cried out in pinching desire. "S-so much, Acacius..."
"I know, darling. We're halfway there."
You held tight to him, his rough hands on your soft skin distracting you from the stretch of your cunt around his cock. "H-halfway?"
Acacius chuckled, holding still inside of you to let you adjust. "You feel... divine. So, so perfect, my sweet wife."
A high pitched moan escaped you as he pulled back slightly, kissing your neck as he pushed farther in. You clenched around him, and his lips on your clammy skin sent a fresh wave of lust panging though you.
But Acacius stopped, and you gasped in pain again, as if he had hit a barrier in your core he couldn't push past. You knew he could bottom out if he so wanted, but not without tearing you deeply.
Instead of pushing forward, he stayed where he was inside of you, tracing his nose along the curve of your jaw.
When he spoke again, his voice was low, almost like he didn't mean for you to hear his words.
"Do you want to know what I want, darling?"
You were too breathless to answer.
Acacius continued. "I want to fuck you so well that all of Rome hears you calling my name. I want to mark you with my mouth so you may look in the mirror and think only of me. I want fall to my knees and thank the gods that gave you to me. But for now, my darling... I want you to come on my cock with your most divine cunt."
Your cunt, as if on command, fluttered, and you moaned as he was able to fill you to the hilt without a pinch of discomfort.
"Oh, yes," Acacius whispered, his tongue darting out along your pulse point. You cried out in pleasure as he shifted inside of you, holding tight to his strong back.
"You... are... perfect, darling," he panted, thrusting slowly, in and out, in and out. "So warm, and tight..."
"Acacius, please..."
"Please... what?" Acacius teased, biting your bottom lip slightly as he pushed back into you.
"More... more," you said, digging your nails into the muscles of his shoulders.
Acacius responded in kind, chuckling at your desperation. "As my lady commands."
His thrusts into your aching cunt deepened, becoming harder as you grew needy for his strength. You tossed your head back with a high-pitched cry when he was able to hit that perfectly sensitive spot inside of you, and the reaction made him even more ravenous for you.
"Oh, you take my cock so well," Acacius praised, the words making your cunt clench around him. "So, so good, my darling."
As if he knew what you needed before you did, he pulled his chest away from yours, sitting up on his knees while thrusting into you. He looped his wide arms underneath your spread legs, angling you upwards on his thighs and pulling your hips up off of the bed. Your legs wrapped around his waist, and you arched your back off the sheets with a shriek of delight.
"Acacius, Acacius," you cried out, the new angle sending him deep into your core, hitting spots you hadn't even known existed.
"That's it, say my name," Acacius said with a smirk. "Say my name when I fuck you, tell all of Rome who is making you feel this good."
You couldn't stop, the falling of his name from your lips dripping like sweet honey. All you could feel was the sweat of his skin against yours, the calloused of his hands as they gripped your soft thighs closely, and the depths of your core his cock was able to reach.
"You're going to cum for me," Acacius ordered, his words coming out in pants of breath. "You're going to cum for me, because you're a good girl. You're a good girl, aren't you? Letting me fuck her virgin cunt so nicely, such a good girl..."
At his praise, your cunt tightened around his cock, back arching like a bow. As you came, he pressed a calloused hand into the flesh above your pelvis, the pressure making your high all the more intense. You cried out his name, over and over again, the two of you becoming the only people in the world as the tidal wave of pleasure overwhelmed you.
Acacius' thrusts into your aching core sped, became less focused, and you knew he was losing control himself as you came apart underneath him. Your name fell from his lips as he pressed his hand further into the spot below your belly, where his cock seemed to bulge into his palm as your cunt pulsed around him.
"Such a good girl, such a good wife," he moaned. Only when your core could only twitch in response to his strong thrusts did he slow, leaning back over you and capturing your lips in a searing kiss.
A warmth pooled within you, evidence of his pleasure. You didn't know if you'd ever felt such an intimate connection with anyone as you did with him, his kiss burning a brand into your heart as the heat of passion faded.
Acacius pulled away after a moment, breathing heavily against your throat. "Hold still a moment," he warned. His palms pressed against your hips, his cock sliding from you with a slight sting. You followed his advice, your legs feeling weak and shaky.
You studied him as he crossed the bedchamber to the washroom, his broad back dimpling with the movement. Returning with a clean cloth and a faint smile on his lips, the dimple in his cheek made your heart swell as he saw your sprawled body on his massive bed.
"Feeling comfortable?" Acacius asked, eyebrows raised with amusement.
You nod, watching him as he crossed over to you, pressing a chaste kiss against your lips as he carefully wiped your messy core.
Breaking from your lips for a moment, he pressed his nose against yours, and you cherished the gentle, intimate gesture.
"Shall I call the servants for a hot bath?" Acacius mumbled, tossing the cloth aside.
"A hot bath sounds divine, but only if we may take one together," you reply, slightly giddy.
Acacius furrowed his brows in confusion. "What is making you laugh, my darling?"
You kissed him again, long and slow. Time stood still, and it was as if you could physically feel the bond forging between the two of you, forging in a slow burn of a crackling fire. It was warm, and easy, and comforting.
You broke away, studying him in his eyes. "You are simply... not what I expected."
Acacius smiled, that damn dimple curving in his cheek.
The most feared general on the continent.
Your husband.
Acacius kissed your forehead. "You, my darling, are everything I've been dreaming of."

part 2 | epilogue

He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me. He loves me not.Â
Sighing, you stood behind the counter of your floral shop, absentmindedly picking on the rose petals like an infatuated teenager. It was almost ridiculous what you were doing out of boredom. And although the sweet scent of the flowers surrounding you were supposed to feel calming, it did little to lift the terrible weight on your chest.Â
Two weeks had passed since you had given your virginity to Satoru. Two weeks since you tried to move on from Sukuna.
Others might say you were too irrational with it. Others might say you did the right thing. But honestly, what was so good about having sex with a guy you barely knew when you spent years refusing to do it with your actual boyfriend?Â
Yes, you were definitely, undeniably irrational with it. You realized it all too late after you had already given your virginity to another guy. You werenât even sure what compelled you to ask Satoru to do it with you, but at the time, it felt right. It felt reasonable that you were trying to get over an ex-boyfriend, out of spite, for not setting boundaries with other women while you were still together. You thought it would be fair to play a similar part in this tragic tale, that it wouldnât be too bad not to set boundaries with other men who showed attraction to you, too.Â
After all, Sukuna had countless women constantly latching onto him, while Satoru was the first guy within your past relationship who developed an interest in you.Â
Besides, it wasnât some kind of fairytale scene when you two slept together. Because to Satoru, it was nothing but a casual encounter. He did his best to make sure that you enjoyed it from finish to end, and you appreciated his sincerity in guiding you throughout, yet you couldnât deny to yourself that all you had been thinking of at the time was Sukuna. You contrasted everything Satoru did with Sukunaâlike how Satoru was slow and sensual, while Sukuna was rough and vulgar. Satoru enjoyed cuddling afterward, whereas Sukuna would likely go straight to sleep. Satoru was too clingy and playful, while Sukuna was more reserved and mature.
The worst part was, your heart still preferred one over the other. And it wasnât the guy with the white hair and blue eyes.Â
Satoru was a good guy, and he had genuine intentions, but after being intimate with someone you werenât in love with, you understood that your potential relationship would never be as good as your previous one. You longed for a man like Sukuna, because despite his typical bad boy persona, he was anything but boring. Being with him was a thrill, and no matter how toxic it was, you were addicted to him.
And thatâs wrong. Your lips curled into a frown.Â
You glanced out the window for what felt like the hundredth time that day, your eyes drawn across the street to Sukunaâs tattoo shop. The neon sign that once buzzed with life now hung dark and lifeless. Every now and then, you could see some of his old clients passing by the shop, hoping for a chance that their favorite tattoo artist was back in business. But Sukuna still hadnât reopened the shop in days, for almost a month now as a matter of fact, and his absence filled you with a gnawing sense of worry and longing.Â
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, while that was certainly true, it also drove you crazy. Why hasnât he opened his shop? you wondered, biting your lip. Did he move out? Did he forget about me entirely?
You turned back to your flowers, but your hands stilled as your thoughts consumed you. What would Sukuna think if he knew someone else had taken your virginity? The thought made your stomach twist. You could already hear his voice telling you that you had given yourself to someone else out of desperation, but it clearly didnât work. If anything, it only made you miss him even more.
Your fingers traced the petals of a rose as memories flooded your mind. The way Sukuna used to look at you, his intense eyes softening just for you. The way his laugh would rumble through his chest when you said something funny. You missed him. You missed everything about him, even the way he could infuriate you with his arrogance.
A sigh escaped your lips as you placed the finished bouquet in a vase. The floral shop was quiet today, save for the distant hum of traffic outside. The city would be busy again during rush hour, but for now, you leaned against the counter, your gaze drifting back to the tattoo shop across. Heâs probably with his ex, you thought, feeling a lump form in your throat. Yet you couldnât help but wonder if he still thought about you. Did he miss me too? Or had he moved on completely?
You pressed your hand to your heart. You wanted to be with him. You wanted to tell him how much you missed him, how much you regretted trying to move on so quickly, how much you wished you didnât break up with him. You had no backbone when it came to Sukuna. But the fear of rejection, the fear that he no longer cared, kept you rooted in place.
Pushing yourself off the counter, you walked to the front door and flipped the sign to âClosed.â It was best to close off early today. You needed a moment to yourself, a moment to clear your head in the safety of your bedroom. But as you locked the door, you couldnât stop yourself from stealing one last glance at Sukunaâs shop. The light flickered at first, making you wonder whether you had just imagined it, but then your heart skipped a beat when you saw the lights completely turning on inside.
Your pulse quickened, and you found yourself drawn to the sight. If it was him in there, maybe this was your chance to talk and clear the air. Or maybe, it wouldnât be wrong to simply check on him since he had been away for almost a month. What if something terrible had happened to him during those past weeks? What if he had gotten sick? With hesitant steps, you eventually crossed the street and approached his shop. There, you could see him through the window as you got closer, shirtless and his rib wrapped in a bandage, clearly covering a fresh new tattoo. In seeing your presence, he looked up, but his eyes passed over you as if you werenât even there.
You knocked lightly on the glass door, and he glanced up again, but his expression remained indifferent, like he was trying to suppress his emotions. He didnât move to open the door as you expected. In fact, he seemed to be arguing with himself in his head.
âHey,â you started, your voice trembling slightly. âCan we talk?â
Sukuna didnât respond right away when he wiped his hands on a rag, still not meeting your eyes. Your heart ached from the heavy silence, but before you could say anything more, the sound of a car engine broke the stillness of that scene.Â
An expensive McLaren car pulled up to the curb, and you were quick to recognize its owner.Â
It was Satoru rolling down his window, a bright smile on his face as he looked at you. His beam was almost blinding, distracting you from the presently awkward situation you had placed yourself in.
âY/N,â he greeted cheerfully, completely oblivious to the tension. âDid you miss me?â
Oh, Jesus.Â
The words hung in the air like a bomb, and you felt the color drain from your face as you thought of how dangerous this situation would be for you. When you saw Sukunaâs eyes flicker with interest, his posture stiffened as he finally paid attention, and you realized it was too late. Way too late.Â
âIs that guy bothering you?â Sukuna finally asked, his voice unusually calm as he approached the door. The closer the proximity, the more your heart started to race. It was running at 250 km/h like it was on track.Â
Satoruâs smile then faltered, now sensing the shift in the atmosphere. It was his first time meeting Sukuna, and based on the stories you had shared with him and Suguru, he was smart enough to recognize that the tattooed man was your ex.Â
âI got what you asked for.â Satoru ignored Sukuna and looked back at you, holding up a small bag. âBirth control, right?â
Never in your life did you want to disappear like a puff of smoke. The sudden turn of events was so wild and unexpected. You could see that Satoru was enjoying provoking your ex-boyfriend, but the whole exchange was making you feel nauseous. The tension was so overwhelming that you couldnât speak, or move, or do anything at all. You were simply frozen.Â
It was also at that time when Sukunaâs eyes narrowed, his gaze moving between you and Satoru. The pieces began to click into place, and a dark realization settled over his features. âYou slept with him?â he asked, his voice low and accusatory.
âSukuna, IâŠâ Your breath caught in your throat because you couldnât find the damn words to respond. Should you deny it? Should you say it wasnât anything like that? There was no way you could get out of this situation even if you wanted to.Â
But Satoru stepped out of his car in your defense. âItâs none of your business what she doesââ
âShut up, you douchebag,â Sukuna snapped, his glare turning deadly. He looked at you with sharp eyes, ones filled with a mixture of hurt and fury. With the way he was glaring, you knew he was murdering you in his head. âSo this is how you move on?â
Your eyes stung from the incoming tears. You wanted to explain, to tell him that you only did it out of spite, but the words just wouldnât come. You knew it was still wrong and that it would be a huge slap to his face hearing that you had hooked up with someone else before him. You hadnât even confirmed anything, yet the intensity of Sukunaâs gaze already made you feel like you were suffocating.Â
As the two men stood there, locked in a silent standoff, you recognized it as the loudest silence you had experienced in your life. That was, until Satoru broke that silence by reaching for your hand. âLetâs go,â he said gently, guiding you towards his car.
You hesitated for a moment, your eyes lingering on Sukuna, but the look of betrayal on his face was too much to bear. It was either you turn away and leave him behind or you stay there and explain to him.Â
Unfortunately, you didnât have the courage to do the latter.Â
â â
The roar of Sukunaâs bike echoed through the night, slicing through the darkness as he raced down the highway like a motorcycle racer on a professional track. His mind was a whirl of thoughts, jealousy and rage fueling his every movement. With every thought of you, his knuckles felt cold.Â
Look, he wasnât planning to pursue you after you left with that guy, but his ego just wouldnât allow it. After piecing the situation together, something inside him just snapped. Like a timebomb. A very dangerous one. He couldnât control his emotions, and he couldnât just let you go like that. Damn it. Almost two years of forcing him into celibacy, and you suddenly threw yourself at a guy you just met?
He revved his motorbike, scoffing bitterly behind his helmet. He was riding recklessly, without a care to the other vehicles he almost crashed into. Fuck. He had spent nearly a month sulking over your pathetic breakup, he had tried his hardest to avoid you, when all this time, you were out there offering your virginity to some random trust fund-looking guy. How ridiculous was that? How utterly, goddamn ridiculous was it? Maybe you had just revealed your true colors right there. You had always felt uncertain about Sukuna because he had nothing but a tattoo shop and a decent motorbike. Now, youâve met the picture-perfect guy your parents always wanted for you, so you found it easy to spread your legs open and allow some other guyâs dick inside.
You were worse than a whore.Â
The wind whipped against his bare chest, but he paid no mind to the cold. He didnât care anymore. Even if the police were to chase after him, he didnât fucking care. His focus was on the red taillights of your new guyâs McLaren car ahead of him. Sukuna pushed the throttle, his bike accelerating with a ferocious growl, causing a scene along the highway.Â
He mapped the situation in his head. Who was faster in this highway chase; the McLaren or his bike? While the McLaren 720 had a higher top speed, Sukunaâs Yamaha YZF-R1 was highly agile and could be more maneuverable in tight spaces. In a straight-line chase, the McLaren would eventually outpace his bike, but in scenarios involving a lot of maneuvering, he could have an advantage.
Too bad for you and your new guy though, since this highway was Sukunaâs domain. His superbike had already passed through the tightest of spaces in the midst of traffic during rush hour, so he was a clear winner here.Â
And in saying that, the distance between you closed rapidly, and soon he was right behind the car, the bikeâs engine roaring like a beast unleashed. With a piercing screech of tires, Sukuna maneuvered his bike alongside Satoruâs car, forcing him to pull over by kicking the driverâs side door. The car drifted and screeched to a halt on the shoulder of the highway, and Sukuna followed suit, cutting the engine and dismounting in one fluid motion. His precious bike, now discarded on the floor, all for the sake of confronting the woman he thought had loved him.Â
âWhat the fuck are you doing?â Satoru demanded, stepping out of the car with a confident swing. He tried to look tough by using their height differences against him, but he wasnât intimidating to Sukuna at all.Â
âGet out, Y/N,â Sukuna ordered, his voice dangerously low as he ignored Satoru and the countless cars honking behind them. His eyes were locked on the passenger side where you sat, your expression an amalgam of fear and hesitation. âI said get the fuck out!âÂ
âDude, chill out.â Satoru tried to put a hand on his shoulder, only to have his hand swiftly rebuffed. âIâm not letting her go with a man whoâs clearly upset.â
âStay the fuck outta this,â Sukuna growled, his fists clenched at his sides. The white-haired punk should take that as a warning. He should back out before his fist lands on his precious face. Plastic surgery isnât cheap nowadays. âY/N, if you donât wanna cause a scene, I suggest you get the fuck outta there.â
**
Your chest rose and fell as you looked between the two men. You knew Sukuna well enough to understand that he wasnât going to back down. And with a line of angry cars honking at the unnecessary traffic jam you were causing, you had no other choice but to open the door and step out.
Satoru's first instinct was to gesture for you to stay back. âY/Nââ
âSatoru, itâs okay,â you said softly. âI need to talk to him.â
The white-haired man hesitated at first, clearly worried for your safety, but with your insistence, he eventually nodded and stepped back to give you space. Sukunaâs eyes burned with intensity as he watched that interaction between you two.
ââKuna, can we at least pull over on the side and not talk in the middle of the highway?â you practically begged, your voice trembling as a few cars managed to squeeze their way between the McLaren and the YZF-R1, throwing harsh curse words towards you and your ex-boyfriend for the road blockage you had caused. Sukuna didnât even flinch. All you could see was the anger in his eyes, and the pain lurking just beneath his irises.
âIâm perfectly fine talking here,â was Sukunaâs reply, his voice dripping with sarcasm. âTell me why youâre with that douche. I think you owe me a damn good explanation, angel.â
You swallowed hard, your throat tightening. You just wanted to get this conversation over with. âW-We broke up. It shouldnât matter to you anymore.â
Beep. Beep. âGet off the road, you idiots! Youâre holding everyone up!â
Beep. Beep. âWho do you think you are, blocking traffic like this?â
âIs that so?â Sukuna scoffed, taking a step closer as he cornered you. âYou moved on pretty quickly, didnât you?â
You flinched at his tone, but you knew you had to tell him the truth. You knew you would not be able to escape this situation if you didnât admit it sooner or later. âSomething did happen between me and Satoru,â you finally confessed, feeling uneasy from the lingering eyes of the heated drivers. âI didnât plan it, it was justâŠâ
Beep. Beep. âThis is a highway, not a soap opera set!â
Beep. Beep. âTake your drama somewhere else!â
Sukunaâs eyes were clouded in disgust, the color of his lenses becoming red from the fire of his fury. âSo you really gave it to him?!â he demanded, his voice rising. He looked like he could punch someone at this rate. âAfter everything we had, you gave yourself to someone else?!â
Beep. Beep. âLearn to drive and pull over if you want to argue!â
You could feel your entire body shaking, but you tried to hold your ground. âI-I thought it was the right thing to do. I thought it would help me forget about you.â
âForget about me?â Sukunaâs laugh was harsh, almost maniacal, because he was truly losing his shit. âYou think you can forget about me by sleeping with some random guy?â He took another step closer, his presence far more overwhelming than the rest of the vehicle surrounding you. âYouâre nothing to me now,â he snarled at your face, the reality of his words cutting through your heart like a knife. âYouâre just another girl who threw herself away.â
Tears spilled over as you watched him turn his back on you, preparing to mount his bike again. âAnd what about you, Sukuna?â you challenged, despite his obvious departure. âDo you think youâre any better? You act as if you wouldnât have cheated on me if I hadnât confronted you about it!â
For a moment, Sukuna was silent, his anger and pain warring within him. Then he shook his head, his expression hardening as he pulled down the visor of his helmet. âBut I never cheated,â he said that fact coldly, âSo, donât expect me to stick around and pick up the pieces. Youâre just somebodyâs leftover now.â
He turned away, the finality of his words hanging in the air to wreck you in half. As soon as he sped up the bike, he vanished into the highway, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 2 seconds. The roar of his bike was louder than a thunderstorm. He didnât even care for his own safety. And as you watched him go, you could feel the rain pouring out with your heart breaking all over again, like a vase cracking against the floor, its pieces forever irreparable.Â
His words hurt more than his actions ever did. And you were never one to handle it as good as you thought you would be.
â â
âIâm not trying to be biased here or anything,â Choso said, lighting his cigarette as he leaned against his Harley Davidson bike. âBut even if you werenât my step-bro, I still think you did the right thing. I wouldnât be able to stomach hearing my ex-girlfriend be fucked by some dude after years of not giving it to me.â
Sukuna crouched next to his R1, the polished bike gleaming under the fluorescent lights of the garage. He had his shirt lay discarded nearby, leaving his toned torso exposed as he worked on changing oil. Sweat mixed with grease smudged across his chest and arms, emphasizing the taut muscles and the intricate tattoos that covered his skin. If he had women here, they would have fainted already. The sight of him sweaty and shirtless while working on his bike would have been an eye candy for them, but he didnât need to think of that now. He merely focused on moving his hands deftly, loosening bolts and draining the old oil into a container. The methodical process offered him a momentary distraction from the chaos in his mind.
âItâs simple,â Sukuna spoke, pausing to wipe his forehead with the back of his hand and inadvertently spreading more grease, âThe albino guy looks rich. She just proved to me sheâs nowhere near being a good girl when a rich guyâs involved.âÂ
The memory of his ex-girlfriend as she was picked up by another man replayed in his head. He couldnât stop imagining how your first night went on. Did you let him fuck you raw? Did you let him hit you from the back? Did you let him cum inside? Did you go for round two? Did you choke on his cock like a good girl?Â
He remembered what your naked body looked like. How soft your breasts felt like. How sweet your pussy tasted like. Now, another man had a taste of it, and he couldnât be any more disgusted. It was sickening to think that another manâs cock got to feel you inside before he did. And that you willingly allowed it.Â
âFuck that,â he muttered to himself, tightening the new oil filter. His eyes narrowed in concentration, but his mind drifted back to the breakup. Heâd always prided himself on being in control, on not letting himself be caught in temptation. But you had pushed his buttons too far, and even though he still never betrayed you, he was sick in the stomach to see that you were the first one who did.Â
âWomen,â Choso agreed, grinning as he shook his head. âIf she wasnât Yukiâs friend, I wouldâve cut her off.âÂ
The wrench slipped from Sukuna's hand, leaving it to clatter to the ground. He cursed under his breath, bending down to retrieve it, his movements were fluid and graceful despite the tension in his body. âYou donât need to cut her off. Itâs between me and her. She still treated you like a brother.â
The younger man raked his fingers through his raven hair, checking himself out on the bikeâs mirror. âNah. She was closer to Yuuji than me, anyway.âÂ
Sukuna stood up, wiped his hands on a rag, and poured fresh oil into the engine. The task was almost done, but his thoughts remained tangled. Seeing you with someone else couldnât stop igniting a fire in him, a possessive rage he couldnât quite shake. He missed the way you two were before, the way you couldn't get enough of each other when you were together. He missed the connection you shared, because it was something he hadnât felt with anyone else.
Finishing the oil change, he straightened up, staring at his reflection in the bikeâs mirror. The man looking back at him seemed foreign, his usual arrogance tempered by a vulnerability he didnât care to acknowledge. He then ran a hand through his hair, smearing more grease, and sighed.
âMaybe itâs time to go back to the old times,â Sukuna spoke his thoughts out loud, with his step-brother merely staring at him. âIâm single now.âÂ
With a final glance at the bike, Sukuna grabbed his shirt and slipped it on, the fabric sticking to his damp skin. He needed a ride to clear his head, to feel the rush of the wind against his face. As he swung a leg over the R1, threw his helmet on, and revved the engine, the powerful roar echoed through the space, drowning out his thoughts for a moment.
âBe careful out there!â was Chosoâs last reminder.
He sped off, the world blurring around him, but no matter how fast he went, he couldnât escape the image of your face or the sting of jealousy that burned in his chest. His mind was clouded with thoughts of you, and your face haunted him at every turn.Â
As he rode, his anger simmered, his frustration building with each passing moment. The pain of betrayal gnawed at him, further fueling his reckless impulses. Youâre such a piece of shit. All this time, you were claiming to be this too good of a girl who was as innocent as a bunny. When, as a matter of fact, you and your new boy toy were fucking each other like rabbits. It was funny, really, how you made him wait two years for nothing. He was your boyfriend, and yet you deprived him of sexual pleasure by pretending you were scared of it. What kind of stupid virgin would throw herself to a random guy when sheâs scared to lose her virginity to her own boyfriend?Â
Such bullshit. With a growl of frustration, Sukuna veered off course, his bike skidding to a stop in front of a familiar building. The apartment loomed before him as a dark silhouette against the night sky. It had been several weeks since he had seen her, but tonight, he didnât care.
His fists clenched at his sides as he marched up the steps to her door. His heart pounded in his chest, a mixture of anger and desperation swirling inside him. He was going crazy and he wanted to blow off steam. He wanted to let his frustration out, so he banged on the door, the sound of his fist colliding with the wood echoing through the quiet street.
After a moment, the door swung open, and a stunned Yorozu stood before him, bleary-eyed and disheveled. Surprise flickered across her face as she took in his appearance, his eyes burning with intensity.
âRyo⊠What are you doing here?â she asked, her voice tinged with uncertainty. The last time they spoke, he was very vocal about having a girlfriend and wanting to keep things professional.Â
Sukuna, this time around, didnât bother with pleasantries. âI need you.â
Yorozuâs eyes widened in surprise. âBut youââ
âPlease, Yorozu.â He pressed a hand against the door, cornering her in between. âI really, really need you right now.âÂ
She wasnât naive. She understood his implication, and he had certainly conveyed that he was no longer with you. And without hesitation, she stepped aside, allowing him to enter without a word. Sukuna felt a rush of adrenaline as soon as he was inside her place, his mind consumed by the need to forget, if only for a moment.
The door closed behind him, and in the darkness of the apartment, Sukuna grabbed Yorozuâs face and kissed her lips, drowning her in the heat of passion. Things were a blur after that, because he wasnât thinking clearly. Because he wasnât in his proper mind. He was letting his rage cloud his thoughts, his bitterness driving his every movement. The next thing he knew, they were stumbling into her room, unable to break their intense kiss. He had kissed her like there was no tomorrow, like her mouth was suction that he couldnât escape.Â
And soon enough, she was naked in her room, knelt before him as he forced his cock inside her mouth. He couldnât get a sense of time. He couldnât even tell if it was already midnight. All he knew was that his next few hours were spent with Yorozu, this time around, with him burying his digits in and out of her soaking pussy.Â
âHaaah!â She arched her back as an intense wave of pleasure hit her insides. âR-Ryo!âÂ
Fuck. Fuck it. Sukuna, without warning, put his cock inside her cunt. And her fucked her with rage, jostled her body like a sex doll, while her eyes rolled backwards in overwhelming satisfaction. She was grinning in absolute ecstasy, her breasts bouncing wildly as he continued to hit her sensitive spot before he leaned forward to suck her perfectly round breast.Â
Listen, he blacked out after that. So, if you were to ask him what happened after that session with Yorozu, he wouldnât be able to answer you because he genuinely passed out from exhaustion. All he remembered was them fucking each otherâs daylights out, and the next morning, she took good care of him like she was his girlfriend again.Â
No, she wasnât.Â
In fact, Sukuna was labeled an asshole for ghosting her. He didnât contact her after that night, nor did he have any further encounter with her. Instead, he went back to his old life way before you. An addict, an alcoholic, a womanizer.Â
For the next few months, that became his life without you.Â
He slept with different girls every few nights, especially his clients. It got to a point where he couldnât even recall their names, and he couldnât remember having brought them to his apartment the night prior, because he was often too high off his mind. Every girl who came to his tattoo shop for an appointment became his companion during the night. And today, one of those girls was among the many who annoyed him afterward.
âHey,â the girl spoke in a lascivious manner, running her slender fingers through his hair. He wasnât sure if her name was Rina or Kiko. âYou slept throughout the afternoon. Do you wanna go grab something to eat?âÂ
Sukuna groaned, covering his head with a duvet. âWhy are you still here?âÂ
He didnât need to see her face to know that confusion settled her delicate features. âBut I thought we wereâŠâÂ
âLeave,â was his harsh reply. âYouâre just a one-night stand to me.âÂ
â â
âSo, Y/N,â Suguru began with a playful twinkle in his eye. âWhy havenât you made Satoru yours yet?âÂ
You rolled your eyes at Getouâs antics. He was clearly on it with his best friend, and their goal today seemed to be to tease the heck out of you. âMaybe I like to keep him guessing,â you retorted with a smirk, though your mind was far from the playful banter.Â
âBut thereâs nothing to guess!â Satoru, on the other hand, protested. He was even displaying a childish pout. âWeâve seen each other naked, you knowââ
Before he could finish his sentence, you swiftly covered his mouth with your hand, earning a cackle from Suguru in return. Thank goodness there werenât that many people in the cafe today, because you were never safe around those two. They were inseparable, like two peas in a pod, sharing one brain cell. Like yin yang.
âShut up,â you merely replied.Â
âBaby, donât be shy,â Satoru teased again, giggling like an immature child together with Suguru. âYouâre an adult who did adult things.âÂ
You sighed, wondering if you would ever get a break from these idiots. âThis is exactly why I donât date you.âÂ
It was a joke, of course. The delivery, however, was a bit dry. But nonetheless, your statement caused Suguru to laugh at his best friend who, in his defense, tried to recover his trampled ego by denying your statement.Â
âSheâs lying,â Satoru denied, as if convincing Suguru was his top priority, âYou never told me your cousinâs hard-to-get.âÂ
âYeah,â agreed Suguru, playfully, âDefinitely hard-to-get. The only girl who can make Sukuna pussy-less for two years.â
âHey!â It was Yuki who intervened, knowing full well that Getou was below the belt on that joke. âEnough of that.â
In truth, you felt it was a touchy subject for you. Anything related to Sukuna, especially that aspect of your past relationship, was something you avoided like a plague. You wanted no mentions of him, and of what he did, and of what you didnât do. He had simply become that person who canât be named, like Voldemort.Â
But the thing was, it was unavoidable sometimes. You werenât mad at Suguru for bringing him up. You knew that him and Satoru, ever mischievous, were just playfully ribbing at you, but you couldnât muster up the same enthusiasm to banter back. You were just upset because hearing Sukunaâs name reminded you of the very reason why you hadnât been in the happiest mood today.
If it wasnât obvious to them, your mind had been elsewhere since this morning, too fixated on the influx of girls you noticed had been frequently visiting Sukunaâs tattoo shop lately. You knew you didnât have the right to feel jealous anymore, you knew you should no longer care about what he does with his life, but you couldnât shake off the nagging feeling that something was off.
And Yuki, sensing your distraction, gently pulled you to the side for a private conversation away from the chatter of your friends.Â
âHey, Y/N. Everything okay?â Yuki asked, her tone soft and understanding. She wasnât forcing you to open up, rather, she was allowing you to share only what you wanted to.Â
You did hesitate for a moment before finding it safe to confide in her. âI just canât stop thinking about him. And those girls at his shop... I donât know, itâs just been bothering me."
Yuki listened attentively, her expression empathetic. âY/N, I know this might be hard to hear, but have you considered that Sukuna might be seeing other people?â
Your heart sank at Yukiâs words. You had entertained the thought before, but hearing it from someone else made it feel more real. âIs⊠Is he?âÂ
âWell, not exactly,â she admitted reluctantly. âBut Choso told me heâs been sleeping around.â Yuki then placed a comforting hand on your shoulder, anticipating your heartbreak from the news she delivered. And she was right. In just a few words, it felt like someone had stabbed you with a knife on the chest. âI'm sorry, Y/N. I agree, you deserve someone who respects and cherishes you. If Sukuna isnât that person, then maybe itâs time to let go.â
You forced a nod, feeling a mix of sadness and regret wash over you, but you didnât want to break down in front of Yuki. You definitely didnât want to cry with Satoru and Suguru around. You knew deep down that Yuki was right, but accepting it was just another matter entirely and you werenât sure if you were prepared for it.
âListen, why donât we go out?â she offered, a smile of encouragement spreading on her peachy lips, âLetâs have a drink or something. Anything just to keep your mind off of him. What do you say?âÂ
â â
It was a mistake.Â
You fidgeted uncomfortably on the barstool, feeling out of place amidst the pulsating music and the raucous laughter that filled the rooftop bar. Yuki, Getou, and Gojou seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves, chatting animatedly over their drinks like it was a scene that they were used to. But for you, this environment was foreign territory. You werenât accustomed to the loudness, the crowdedness, the palpable energy that thrummed through the air. Heck, you didnât even drink alcohol. You couldnât stand the taste nor could you see the benefit of drinking.Â
But you didnât want to be a party pooper. Yuki did you a favor here, and it was for you to get your mind off the man who kept torturing your soul over and over. If you were to leave now, it would just beat Yukiâs purpose of tagging you along.Â
You were supposed to enjoy it. You were supposed to have fun, dancing with them, singing along to the music. They werenât even the type of music Sukuna listened to.Â
âY/N, bottoms up!â You werenât sure if it was Satoru or Suguru who said that, but they both offered you a small glass of vodka, urging you to drink it in one shot.Â
As much as you wanted to, you had to refuse, speaking over the loud music. âIâm good, thank you.âÂ
And as you scanned the room, your eyes inadvertently locked onto a figure across the bar.Â
Amidst the throng of people.Â
The one person you wanted to avoid.Â
Sukuna.Â
He stood out effortlessly in the crowd, exuding an aura of confidence and charisma that drew your gaze like a moth to a flame. You couldnât believe it. No, you just couldnât believe it. You could be hallucinating because it would be too much of a coincidence for him to be here.Â
But as soon as his eyes met yours, you knew he wasnât just a figure of your imagination. Deep in your heart, you knew it was him. You couldnât be mistaken when those eyes, those lips, those goddamn tattoos, were all him.
Though, as you two locked gaze, his expression told a different story. They were a jumble of surprise, guilt, and bitterness. He seemed just as startled to see you as you were to see him. But beneath it all, there was an undeniable tension, a silent acknowledgment of unfinished business between you.
No, you canât walk away from me. Excusing yourself quietly, you slipped away from the table, unnoticed by your friends, and made your way through the crowd of people towards him. He was already walking away at that point, ready to avoid your presence as if seeing you was torture for him. But didnât he know? You were too stubborn for your own good. You relentlessly followed him, squeezing in between a drunken crowd, realizing that Sukuna was heading down.Â
In the abandoned part of the buildingâs parking lot, you finally caught up to him, your heart pounding in your chest as you faced him.Â
ââKuna,â you called out, âPlease.âÂ
Sukuna turned to face you, his expression unreadable as he regarded you with dark, intense eyes. âHey,â he replied coolly, his voice a low rumble in the night air as he walked closer to his bike.
âYouâre not supposed to ride when youâre drunk,â you began.Â
To which he sneered at. âWhy? You think Iâm here to offer you a ride back home, angel?âÂ
Aggravating as ever. He was still that arrogant bastard you knew, and loved. âNo, youâre probably doing that to someone else.âÂ
âWhy donât you go back to your filthy rich boyfriend?âÂ
âAre you jealous?â you bit back, now feeling a palpable tension transpiring between you, but you tried not to let it stop you from speaking to him. âWhatever happened to me and Satoru was just one time.âÂ
Sukuna scoffed at your statement. âI didnât ask, angel.âÂ
Truthfully, he was the most frustrating man in the world right now. And dealing with him was definitely the hardest job ever, but your purpose of running after him wasnât to bicker. All you wanted was to confirm something that had been bothering you. So you took a deep breath, steeling yourself for what was to come. âHave you been sleeping around?âÂ
His expression remained stoic, his gaze meeting yours with a hint of defiance. âAre you jealous?â he mocked, returning the same question back to you. âSo what if I am?âÂ
You couldnât tell what overcame you more; was it the pain or the anger? But surely, a hundred percent, your frustration was definitely boiling over. âSo you are,â you huffed, âSee, that wasnât so hard to admit, isnât it? This is what youâve always wanted to do! To sleep with those girls!âÂ
For a moment, silence hung heavy between you, the tension was crackling in the air like electricity. Then, without warning, Sukuna closed the distance between you, his hand reaching out to grab your jaw.
âYou donât get to turn this back around on me,â he spat, swallowing the obvious pain in his voice, âYouâre the one who started it all.â Â
Your breath was caught in your throat as you felt the heat of his body so close to yours, his touch igniting an altogether new fire within you. Despite the anger building inside your heart, you couldnât deny the pull you felt towards him, the magnetic attraction that seemed to draw you together like two black holes ready to destroy one another.Â
âI fucking waited for you,â he continued, his voice now deepening in a more sincere tone, âI know I was wrong for not setting boundaries, but I never, not once, cheated on you. I never fucking did! But you couldnât trust me, right? You couldnât fuckinâ trust me.â His pupils dilated as he raised his voice. âYouâre so caught up in being too goddamn insecure about yourself when all I wanted was to have intimacy with youââ
âAll you wanted was sex, just admit that!â you yelled back, jerking his hand away as tears began to fill your eyes. âAnd maybe I was right for giving my first to someone else, because you donât deserve it. You donât deserve it when youâve always pressured me into giving it to you.â
Sukunaâs laughter filled the air, a disbelieving chuckle that bordered on frustration. He threw his head back, running a hand through his hair in exasperation. Without hesitation, he snatched his helmet and hurled it across the floor, the sound of impact startling you.
âI never fucking pressured you!â His voice was raw with emotion as he walked back towards you, frustration and hurt evident in every step. âYouâre the only girl I genuinely respected. You think I enjoyed being celibate for two fucking years?! No, the fuck, I didnât! But I waited. I waited because I didn't want you to feel forced! It was all in your fucking head, Y/N. Your doubts, your uncertainties about me. Iâm a man too, damn it! Of course, it frustrated me, but that doesnât mean I would ever leave you or cheat on you.â And just when you thought it was over, he spoke again, his words now silencing into a painful tone, his eyes shining from the tears blanketing his gaze, âDid you think you were the only one who was insecure? Every damn day, Y/N, I was scared you were gonna leave me. That you were gonna find some other guy, someone who could give you everything you wantâa big house, a nice car, a successful life. I didnât have all that. And it kills me every single day knowing that thatâs exactly the type of guy you went after the moment we broke up.âÂ
Silence stretched between you, heavy and suffocating, as Sukunaâs words replayed in your mind like a broken record. You couldnât bring yourself to respond, couldnât find the words to refute his accusations. Because deep down, you knew he had a point. Your doubts, your insecuritiesâthey had clouded your judgment, poisoned your perception of Sukuna. And now, faced with his raw honesty, you couldnât deny the truth in his words.
But accepting that truth was a bitter pill to swallow. It meant acknowledging your own flaws, your own role in the breakdown of your relationship. And it meant coming to terms with the fact that maybe, just maybe, you had let your fears drive you to push away the person who had truly cared for you.
As Sukuna stood before you, frustration and hurt etched into every line of his face, you felt a pang of regret twist in your chest. You wanted to reach out, to apologize, to admit that you had your wrongs, too. But no words came out, choked by the weight of your own self-doubt.
âIâŠâ you struggled to respond. It was a battle you werenât ready to fight, so your only option was to run away. To turn away like a coward, and to flee the agonizing reality of your relationship.Â
But Sukuna didnât let you. Instead, he closed the remaining space between you, his lips crashing down on yours in a hungry, desperate kiss.
In that moment, all thoughts of anger and confrontation melted away as you surrendered to the intoxicating allure of Sukunaâs touch. Lost in the heat of the moment, lost in a puddle of strong emotions. You fell deeper into the trap of your undeniable sexual tension, your bodies becoming entwined in a passionate embrace in the empty parking lot.Â
His lips were soft against yours, his tongue rolling in the opposite motion as you kissed him deeper. More, more. He was hungry for more. And so were you.Â
So when he kissed your neck, you allowed it.Â
When he squeezed your breast, you allowed it.Â
When he raised your skirt, you allowed it.Â
You released a moan into his mouth as he sat you on top of his motorbike, standing in between your legs as he reattached his lips back to yours. Your mouths enveloped each other perfectly. The bittersweet taste of his tongue, now moving south down your neck.Â
âSukunaâŠâÂ
While his mouth was busy doing its own work, his hands too were occupied in touching areas he had once explored. One hand travelled to your thigh, squeezing your flesh before he reached your crotch. Two fingers touched your underwear, as if he was checking if you were wet, before he pushed them onto the side to set your cunt free.Â
You ended up wrapping your arms around his neck, a gasp escaping your lips as his fingers played with your entrance. Your clit, your sensitive bud, also wasnât ignored when he began moving his fingers in a circular motion.Â
âMmmh!âÂ
What was going through his head? You knew he was aroused, but why did his gaze look so dark? It was too grim, to the point where it scared you. But you were far too distracted when his other hand went to grab a hold of your tit, squeezing your mound, and kneading the soft skin. He had pulled down your neckline to release your tits in the air, quickly attaching his mouth onto one breast as soon as they were out in the open.Â
âHaaah!âÂ
You were going crazy, both from the fingers that were entering your cunt, and the mouth that was sucking your tit. You had your back arched into a C, your arms grabbing onto his shoulder as he became more and more aggressive with his touch.Â
And you werenât exaggerating when you said he was being more aggressive with it, because when he pulled himself away from you, it only lasted for a few seconds before he grabbed your waist and twisted your body around. In a blink of an eye, he had you position against his motorbike, with your body leaning against the seat and your ass high enough for his crotch.Â
âS-Sukuna, s-someone might walk inââ
He had pulled your underwear down, letting it stay in between your knees, before rubbing your pussy from behind. His breath was warm when he whispered into your ear, âDonât act like you hate it.âÂ
He wasnât wrong with that either. Because while he was touching your entrance, testing if the tip of his cock would smoothly glide in, you became an animal in heat, ready to be devoured by him. You had to cover your mouth, forcing yourself to keep your voice down as he finally buried his cock six inches deep inside of you.Â
âA-Aah!â your body jerked forward as Sukuna rawdogged you from behind. âS-Sukuna, aah!â
âYouâre such a fucking slut,â he cussed under his breath, feeling a painful stretch on your scalp as he pulled your hair, âDid he fuck you this good?âÂ
âMmhâno!âÂ
The sound of skin-slapping was reverberating across the empty lot.
âDid you let him cum inside?â
âN-NoâŠ!â
He was insatiable. He couldnât get enough of the tightness of your cunt. He, too, was moaning from the feeling of your velvet walls milking his cock like a warm glove. So he continued to thrust inside you, his hands on your hips, keeping you steady as he rammed his cock inside faster, and harder, and deeper.Â
Your buttocks were becoming too sore, the stretch of skin on your bum vibrating in waves every time he hit you balls deep inside.
And while you were a moaning hot mess below him, a realization suddenly hit you in the face like a truck. Throughout your relationship, this was all he had ever wanted to do with you. He had always talked about doing it slowly, in a romantic set up with candles lit and petals around, in a place where you can lay yourself comfortably. You dreamed of him whispering I love youâs into your mouth as you two made love. You fantasized about him lovingly looking into your eyes as he reached his high. You used to picture him out, intertwining his hands with yours as he tells you youâre the most beautiful girl in the world.
Yet now, you were doing it in the basement parking lot. In a dark, dirty place. Bent over against the uncomfortable seat of his bike.Â
And more importantly, he was treating you like a whore.Â
Tears welled up your eyes as you felt Sukuna pull out after finishing. For a minute, he gathered himself together, his head pressed against your nape as he sighed.Â
âItâs not working, Y/N,â he mumbled against your skin, voicing the exact words you were afraid to hear.
âI knowâŠâ You sniffed, pulling the strap of your dress back up and adjusting your skirt back down.
He didnât need to say anything more. When he gave you one last kiss on the forehead and wrapped you in his jacket, you understood the full weight of his words. It wasnât just about this moment; it was about everything that had led you here.Â
It didnât work because you had already shattered your perceptions of each other. Both tarnished the way you saw one another. He would never come to terms with the fact that you gave yourself to another guy, just as you could never accept that he had slept with the same girls you had always warned him about. It would only lead to a constant game of back-and-forths, of pointing fingers, of toxic love.
So you watched him mount his bike, rev the engine, and look at you one last time before speeding away. His figure disappeared into the dark like a shadow, like a dream you only once knew.Â
That was the last time you ever saw Ryomen Sukuna in your lifetime.

cws & notes. fluff! post-timeskip. iwaizumi hajime x implied fem!reader. 500+ words. since you guys liked the last one, here's more iwaizumi :) he's so <3
Iwaizumi is a gentleman. It's made immensely clear even before you started dating him, that chivalry isn't dead as long as he is living and breathing.
You never have to touch a doorknob when you're walking by his side, because by the time you reach out, he's already turning the handle. It's instinct by now; he could be midway through a monologue about the clients at his job, or the mediocre weather they've been having, or any other topic, and he'd still never forget to hold the door open for you to pass through first.
It's a wonder how you didn't notice sooner, with how frequently it happens, but it's not the only thing. It can be subtle at times, so much that you barely notice when he guides you to the street side of the footpath, leaving himself closest to the road, or when he lends you his umbrella, even if he has a longer walk home.
The habits are charming, but no moment shows his ways better he asks you out. A bunch of neatly clipped roses in hand, in his nicest shirt and pants, he arrives with a whole speech ready to confess his feelings. For once, he even looks nervous, almost stumbling over his words. But all of that is gone as soon as you smile at him, accepting his invitation with a breathless laugh.
Suddenly, with the walls of friendship knocked down, and faced with the chance for more, it only amplifies. Now, he gets to hold your hand, and drape his jacket over your shoulders, and slide his arm around your waist to draw you closer. Whenever you go out together, he's always either at your side or close by, holding your drink when you duck into the bathroom, and glaring at anyone who dares to make you feel uncomfortable.
And it's not just you who sees it, it's everyone else too.
On his birthday, a few of his closest friends gathered for drinks together, celebrating the occasion together. You were enjoying yourself for a while, but the gathering was starting to drain you. It was loud, and it was cold, and Iwaizumi noticed. He always did.
âYou good?â He asked lowly. âWe can leave early if you want.â
âI'm fine,â You said, stifling a shiver. The movement wasn't lost on Iwaizumi, and his brows furrowed minutely. He shrugged off his own jacketâthe nice, comfortable black one you bought for him as a giftâand gently laid it over you. The weight of it settling across your shoulders was comforting, and you smiled in gratitude.
âCan't believe this favouritism,â Mattsun, sitting a barstool over, rolled his eyes, light-heartedly slapping Iwaizumi on the back. âHe never treats us like that, you know. What if I was cold, huh?â
It was true, you realize slowly. You've never seen him interact with anyone else quite in the same way as how he interacts with you. Perhaps that's to be expected, with you being his partner, but it was obvious even before. Even with all his rough edges, every part of him was softened especially for you.
You smiled at Iwaizumi, with nothing but love. âOh, that's just the way he is.â
A gentleman, through and through.

Prince and the Frog â Housewardens x gn! reader
summary: you find yourself cursed and you go to your prince to lift it.
tw: none that I can think of.
a/n: I saw something about the princess and the frog and got inspo. This is so fun, goofy, and lovely, I hope y'all enjoy <3
wc: 1.9k (~300 each character)
Master List
You werenât sure what youâve done to deserve this, but even you felt it wasnât enough. I mean a frog? Really? And the cure was a true love's kiss? Seriously? Can it get any more cliche? You might as well search for a princess and turn her into a frog as well and then set off into a journey of personal growthâŠyou suppose a prince will have to do. You went to the first person you thought could help, time to see if they really would still love you if you were a worm, errâŠfrog.
â„ Riddle Rosehearts
Okay, so maybe Riddle wasnât technically a prince, but a queen is a step above that, no? You were a little scared of his reaction, but you couldnât stay a frog forever. Not to mention that someone else had cursed you, itâs not like you turned yourself into a frog. So when you managed to find him he freaked out, mouth agape as you explained your situation. Thank the sevens you could still talk. Riddleâs face soured, lips twisted into a scowl. At first you thought he was going to find a way to collar you in your current slippery state, but he ended up ranting about the person who cursed you, asking for any details that you could provide. The thought of kissing you to break the curse hadnât even crossed his mind, instead skipping straight to punishing the fool whoâd curse the Queenâs rose and making them reverse it. It was then that you learned just how quickly Riddle could sniff someone out if he wanted to, because the effects had been reversed by the end of the same day. (If that doesnât show you how much he loves you then I donât know what can).
â„ Leona Kingscholar
âŠare you sure about this? I meanâŠyeah heâs a prince and all but he might just toss you mistaking you for a random frog who dared to encroach on his space. The type to argue he wouldnât have to love you if you were a worm cause how ridiculous is that? WellâŠnot so ridiculous now, huh? Thankfully, you had found Ruggie first, explaining your situation and asking for him to bring you to Leona. Not so thankfully, Ruggie found the entire thing hilarious and had to take a moment to calm himself down. He kept snickering to himself the entire way to Leona, making you want to die, or just stay a frog and live a happy life in a nice little pond and start a little froggy family. When Ruggie managed to tell Leona what was going on in between laughter Leona just stared at you like you were the stupidest motherfucker. Hey! It wasnât like you were asking to be cursed! Has an internal conflict on what to do. On one hand he wants to prove heâs your true love, and kissing you seems to be the quickest way to get this over withâŠon the other you are a literal frog. Shooing Ruggie away, Leona bemoaningly gave you the quickest peck ever, making a face of disgust as he pulled away. The transformation back took a few seconds, but the look of disgust quickly turned to a smug smirk, feeling proud that you were truly his.Â
â„ Azul Ashengrotto
Okay, so again, not an actual princeâŠbut he excelled at potions, so it only made senseâŠexcept heâll probably make you sign your life away. So maybe not a good choice once again. I pray for you because one if not both of the Leech twins are gonna find you first and theyâre gonna have a field day. âMy, youâd look perfect in one of my terrariumsâ Jade would note. Floyd would probably accidentally kill you because this entire situation is oh so hilarious and he forgot heâs supposed to be holding you gently. After the two have their fun (Jade plays with you and his terrarium like you're a doll in a dollhouse), they finally bring you to Azul, laughing their asses off in their own ways. Azul stares at you blankly as the two eel brothers leave, trying his hardest to not laugh. His face is red from concealing his humor, looking to the side to collect himself. Heâll offer you the cure, but for a price. Kiss you? He has a reputation to upkeep you know. He canât be seen kissing frogs, imagine what thatâll do to his image! No, no, just sign the contract, and to sweeten the deal heâll have the twins deal with the pest who thought it was a good idea to curse his angelfish. If you really persist, heâll give in eventually. To be fair, he is also curious to see if you're his true love, but on the other hand heâs terrified if you're not. He doesnât want to lose you. And to both your delight, you transform back after he gives you a small kiss on your little froggy headâŠheâs also running laps in his mind at how happy he is.
â„ Kalim Al-Asim
Heâs a prince and wonât think twice! He loves you truly, so it has to work! Too bad Jamil stumbled upon you first. Adamantly tries to hide you from Kalim and he feels his headache growing ten times worse. Why did you stupidly get yourself cursed? He asks like you did it on purpose. You didnât know why the guy cursed you either! Jamil keeps you tucked in his hoodie until he can find time to bring you to Professor Crewel. You tried to fight him at first as youâd rather stay a frog than get detention for something you had no control over, but Jamil knew how to keep a tight leash on the unrulyâŠit was his job after all. Unfortunately for him, Kalim walked into the kitchens right as you hopped out of his pocket. At first he was confused, and then even more confused, and then ecstatic. You hopped over to him, asking for him to protect you from Jamil (who was giving you a major side eye). Then you explained your predicament, and Jamil butted in about bringing you to Crewel. Innocently, Kalim offered to kiss you. No need to bother Crewel if the cure was so simple! Jamil couldnât stop him in time, as Kalim kissed you the second he finished the sentence. Even Jamil couldnât hide his disgust for a second at the action. Thankfully, Kalim was your true love as you had transformed back, and he hugged you gleefully. Unfortunately for Kalim, you refused any of his kisses until he rinsed his mouth (lmao).
â„ Vil Schoenheit
Another queen. Best person to go to. He can whip up any cure just as fast as he can whip up any potion/poison. Rook, saw the whole encounter with the other student, and brought you to Vil without a second thought. He already knew everything about the idiot who cursed you so no need to stick around. Vilâs gaze turned into a disapproving stare as he looked at you. Even though Rook tried to stick up for you, dramatizing the whole event as stating how brave you were to face such a curse head on, Vil only shook his head. He motioned for Rook to follow him, not wanting to pick you up. He loves you, really he does, he just canât afford to get his clothes dirty or stained. He picks the ingredients effortlessly, starting to brew the cure without a second thought. Both you and Rook seemed to want to get on his nerves as you both prattle on about true love and how he should kiss you. He didnât expect you to be a cheesy sap (heâs lying), besides, donât you know how many curses list true loveâs kiss as the cure? The meaning is pointless. Besides, he doesnât need some curse to prove his love for you, hasnât he shown you how much you mean to him already? Or was he lacking, because he didnât think youâd doubt him. Either way, youâre drinking the cure, he couldnât risk that your slimy frog skin might make him break out. But donât worry, if you really have room to doubt his love, heâll make sure you canât within the week.
â„ Idia Shroud
Hahaha. Again, are you sure? Heâs always holed up in his room, the only chance you're brought to him is if Ortho finds you (or vice versa). At first Ortho found you adorable, cooing at you as he floated to Idiaâs room. He thought this was the perfect opportunity to show both you and Idia just how much you care for the other. How could either of you doubt the other if it's sealed with a true love's kiss? It was a brilliant opportunity! (Orthos a little too into this). He barely let his brother welcome them in before barging in and shoving a frog (you) into Idiaâs face. At first Idia screeched, falling out of his gamer chair and scrambling away from the amphibian. Was Ortho pranking him? Thatâs totally uncool, he wasnât some normie. But then Ortho happily blabbed about you and the curse and then it clickedâŠYOU WERE A FROG? Now heâs rolling on the floor laughing at you. Youâd smack him if you WERENâT A FROG. After heâs done laughing it up, he then freezes. Ortho wants him to kiss you? B-but that's gross! Who knows what diseases heâll get if he kisses you. k. Wait, don't go to someone else! Fine, heâll do it, but he wonât like it. Inside, heâs absolutely terrified. His mind is running a mile a minute. He doesnât think youâll actually turn back, someone like him doesnât deserve true loveâŠso imagine the face he makes when you do. Face a bright red, his hair a bright pink. Oh no, he feels faint. Give him a peck on the lips to finish him off.
â„ Malleus Draconia
Uh oh. Queue the thunder and lightning. Whoever cursed you is the stupidest motherfucker. Malleus is the one to stumble upon you this time, to the disdain of his family. Lilia on one hand wanted to laugh about the situation, on the other, he knew heâd have to protect the stupid human from being smite for cursing Malleusâ love. Silver and Sebek are sweating as Malleus holds you gently in his hands. If he thought you were gentle as a human, heâs being ten times more careful with you in your froggy state. On the outside, heâs silent and brooding, on the inside heâs lamenting on finding you an enclosure where you can be happiest. What type of tank, soil, plants, waterâŠsomeone please tell him this is reversible. Lilia chimes in before the rain outside can get worse, mentioning true love's kiss is able to reverse the effects. Malleusâ green slitted eyes never move from your tiny form, he finds you absolutely breathtaking even as a frog (this man is down so bad), but heâs nothing but relieved when he hears the news. Human lifespans are already small as is, he wouldâve been completely gut wrenching if that time was cut even shorter. Another one who doesnât hesitate to kiss you. This man would love you if you were a worm. He strokes your moist skin gently as he leaves a small kiss to your adorable head. His entire being, soul, mind and body all belong to you, and if that isnât true love then I donât know what is. His eyes shine brightly as you transform back, holding you gently as he promises to protect you from any miscreant that dares even look at you wrongâŠyeah so the guy who cursed you is still fucked and now you have a protective dragon at your heel 24/7.

Chill Dad | K.Mg

Pairing: Mingyu x reader
Genre: fluff, parent au
Summary: Mingyu always wanted to be the chill and cool dad for his kids, however the world don't let him.
Mingyu remembered the exact moment he fell to his knees upon hearing the newsâyou were pregnant. After years of waiting, his dream of becoming a father was finally coming true. Boy or girl, it didnât matter to him. But, as if fate had a plan, he was blessed with bothâa beautiful baby girl and a baby boy. God had granted him twins. The day they were born, his heart nearly burst with pride. He named them Kim Kayi and Kim Kiha, and from that moment on, they became the center of his world.
Mingyu loved nothing more than showing off his babies. When the twins were just a month old, he threw a house party, eager to introduce them to everyone he knew. In his big arms, he proudly held Kayi and Kiha, beaming with pride as he introduced his friends and family to âthe cutest babies in the world.â He wasnât just saying that because they were his blood; they truly were the cutestâat least in his eyes. He adored every inch of them, from their tiny fingers to their chubby cheeks.
But, as the years passed, those adorable babies grew into spirited four-year-olds, and with that came the inevitable challenge: rebellion. Despite their cuteness, Kayi and Kiha had quickly learned how to test their fatherâs patience.
âI donât want it!â Kayiâs small voice rang out defiantly one evening, her lips firmly pressed together as she refused to eat the vegetables on her plate.
Mingyu sighed, sitting across from her at the dining table, while you, seated on his left, were busy helping Kiha with his meal. Gently, he placed a carrot on Kayiâs fork and handed it to her again, hoping for cooperation. But with a little too much force, she pushed it back onto the plate.
âKim KayiâŠâ His voice rose a few decibels, a warning in his tone.
You intervened softly, your voice a balm to his frustration. âKayi, thatâs okay. Just finish your meat, and then we can have your favorite fruit for dessert,â you said, standing to clean the small mess Kayi had made. Your other hand gently rubbed Mingyuâs back, calming him.
Another day, it was Kihaâs turn to test his fatherâs patience. âKiha, weâre late, come here!â Mingyu called out, clothes in hand, as his son stubbornly refused to get dressed for an event. His small body was still glued to the floor, protesting.
âI donât want to goâŠâ Kiha mumbled.
âMom and Kayi are waiting, everyoneâs waiting,â Mingyu said with urgency, trying to reason with his son. âYou shouldnât be like this!â
When you walked into the room and saw the scene, Mingyu sighed in exasperation. âHe refuses to wear anything,â he explained, shaking his head.
âWhatâs wrong, baby?â you asked gently, kneeling down to Kihaâs level and pulling him into a warm embrace. The two of you shared a quiet conversation that Mingyu couldnât quite hear. Before long, you turned to him with a smile.
âWhy donât you and Kayi go ahead to the event? Kiha and I will stay home today,â you suggested softly, rubbing Kihaâs back as he clung to your neck.
Mingyu frowned. âWhy?â
You smiled and gave Kiha a reassuring squeeze. âKiha doesnât want to go today. Thatâs okay, love. Weâll wait here for you.â
Though these moments tested Mingyuâs patience, he had a very healthy relationship with his kids. He adored them, and they adored him right back. Still, parenting during this rebellious phase often left him stressed, struggling to be the cool and chill dad he had once dreamed of being.
Later that evening, after the kids were finally asleep, Mingyu climbed into bed, visibly worn out. âYou really need to stop spoiling the twins, love,â he said as he lay beside you.
You raised an eyebrow, confused. âI donât spoil them.â
Mingyu shook his head. âYou let them get away with everything. Thatâs why they fight me on everything I ask them to do.â
You let out a soft laugh, recalling the five rounds of dance battles youâd just had with the kids before bedtime. âTheyâre just babies, love. Theyâre supposed to be spoiled.â
âTheyâre babies, yes, but there are still rules in this house,â he said, his tone exasperated. âIâm exhausted, and I swear they still had energy left even after I forced them to close their eyes. But eventually, they passed out.â
He sighed. âAnd earlier tonight, Kiha said he doesnât want to go to daycare tomorrow. He wants to stay with you.â
You nodded. âThen Iâll take him to work with me.â
Mingyu gasped dramatically, yanking the duvet over himself. âSee! This is exactly what I mean. Youâre spoiling them too much! And donât think I forgot about the ice cream yesterdayâyou got them ice cream without telling me!â
You giggled, guilt evident on your face. âIâm sorry⊠They were so cute; I couldnât say no!â
You snuggled closer to him, kissing his neck softly. âYouâre an amazing father, Love. Youâre doing such a great job. Trust me.â
He turned toward you, wrapping his arm around your waist. âI knowâŠâ He smirked, leaning in for a kiss.
âIs this your way of telling me you want another kid?â Mingyu teased as he hovered over you, kissing you again.l
You grinned up at him. âMaybeâŠâ
*
The next morning began like any otherâfilled with the usual whirlwind of activity as Kayi and Kiha ran around the house, their laughter echoing through the halls. You were busy getting breakfast ready, while Mingyu tried to wrangle the twins into their clothes.
âKayi, Kiha, come on! Weâre going to be late,â Mingyu called out, his tone growing sharper as the twins continued to ignore him, engrossed in their game of chase.
You glanced over, noticing the tension in his shoulders. âIâll handle Kiha,â you offered, but before you could move, Mingyu sighed heavily, running a hand through his hair in frustration.
âNo, Iâve got it,â he muttered, though the strain in his voice was clear.
The twins, oblivious to their fatherâs growing frustration, continued to run around, giggling as they eluded his grasp. Mingyu managed to catch Kayi, but Kiha slipped away, squealing with laughter.
âKiha! Get over here, now!â Mingyu snapped, his patience fraying. When Kiha only giggled in response, Mingyu slammed his hand down on the counter. âI said, now!â
The sudden loud noise made Kiha freeze, his smile fading as he stared at Mingyu with wide eyes. Kayi, still in Mingyuâs arms, shrunk back, her playful energy draining away. You watched the shift in the atmosphere, your heart sinking.
âBabeâŠâ you began softly, but he shook his head, setting Kayi down a little too abruptly.
âI canât do this right now,â he muttered, his voice tight with frustration. âEvery day itâs a fight. Iâm just trying to get them dressed, and they act like Iâm the enemy!â
Kiha, still frozen in place, looked from you to Mingyu, his lower lip trembling. Kayi wrapped her arms around her fatherâs leg, her small voice barely audible. âDaddy⊠Iâm sorryâŠâ
But Mingyu didnât hear her. He turned away, muttering something under his breath as he walked out of the room, leaving you and the kids standing there in stunned silence.
You knelt down, pulling Kiha into your arms as Kayi clung to your side. âItâs okay, babies,â you whispered, kissing their heads. âDaddyâs just upset right now. He doesnât mean to scare you.â
They nodded, though you could see the hurt in their eyes. Your heart ached, torn between comforting your children and wanting to check on Mingyu. You knew he didnât mean to lose his temper, but moments like this had been happening more often lately, and it was beginning to take a toll on all of you.
Later that day, Mingyu retreated to the bedroom, wrestling with his emotions. He felt a heavy weight in his chest, the guilt settling in as he replayed the morning in his head. He hadnât meant to yell. He loved his kids more than anything, but sometimes the pressure of parenting, combined with his own fears of failure, made it hard to keep his composure.
It wasnât until you walked into the room, your eyes soft with understanding, that Mingyu finally let out a breath he hadnât realized he was holding.
âTheyâre okay, Mingyu,â you said gently, sitting down beside him on the bed. âBut they were a little scared. You know that, right?â
Mingyu rubbed his hands over his face, letting out a groan. âI messed up. I didnât mean to yell, but I just⊠I donât know. Iâm trying so hard, and it feels like Iâm failing. I just want them to listen to me.â
âTheyâre just kids,â you reminded him, your voice calm but firm. âTheyâre going to push boundariesâthatâs what four-year-olds do. But you have to remember that youâre their dad. They look up to you. And when you lose your temper, it affects them more than you realize.â
Mingyu closed his eyes, the tension slowly melting away as your words sank in. âIâm sorry,â he whispered, his voice heavy with regret. âIâm sorry I yelled. I just⊠I feel like Iâm failing.â
You squeezed his hand gently. âYouâre not failing, Mingyu. Parenting is hard, and weâre both learning. But youâre not in this alone. Weâll figure it out together.â
He looked at you, his eyes filled with a mix of gratitude and self-doubt. âI need to apologize to them, donât I?â
You nodded. âItâll mean a lot to them.â
That evening, after dinner, Mingyu gathered the twins on the couch, pulling them close. Kayi and Kiha sat quietly, their big eyes watching him, sensing something serious was about to happen.
âHey, guys,â Mingyu began, his voice softer than usual. âI want to talk to you for a minute.â He took a deep breath, glancing at you before turning back to the twins. âIâm sorry for yelling this morning. I was upset, but I shouldnât have raised my voice. That wasnât right, and I donât want you to feel scared of me.â
Kayi crawled into his lap, wrapping her little arms around his neck. âItâs okay, Daddy,â she whispered, her face pressed against his chest. âWe love you.â
Kiha, still a bit hesitant, scooted closer and leaned his head against Mingyuâs arm. âWe love you, Daddy,â he echoed quietly.
Mingyuâs heart clenched as he held them close, his eyes misting over. âI love you both so much,â he whispered, kissing the tops of their heads. âIâm going to try to be better, okay? Weâll work together.â
You watched from the doorway, your heart swelling at the sight of the three of them. Mingyu wasnât perfect, but he was tryingâand in the end, thatâs what mattered most. Parenting wasnât about being flawless; it was about showing up, even in the difficult moments, and finding your way back to love.
As the night settled in and the twins eventually drifted off to sleep, Mingyu turned to you, pulling you into his arms. âThank you,â he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. âFor always being here. For helping me through this.â
You smiled softly, resting your head against his chest. âWeâre in this together, love. Always.â
And as you held each other in the quiet of the night, you knew that, no matter the challenges that lay ahead, you would face them side by sideâjust as you always had.

roses are red, violets are blue, lynette is so done with the two of you

lyney x gn!reader
lynette thinks fontaineâs worst kept secret isnât how neuvillette wears blue underwear or how the hydro archon loves a good drama, no, fontaineâs worst kept secret is lyneyâs massive crush on you and how everyone and their grandmother know except you.
comedy, pining lyney, lynette being so done

Lyneyâs frowning.
Most people would find it an odd expression on him, used to having him direct dazzling smiles and playful laughter their way. But Lynette isnât just anyone, and the sight of Lyney frowning is hardly a rare phenomenon within the privacy of their household.
Freminetâs usually Lyneyâs choice of victim for whatever nonsense heâs managed to build himself up in that head of his, but Freminetâs busy doing errands and Lynette is unfortunately the only person within vicinity that Lyney trusts with his secretâwhich isnât even a secret by this point, people have been making bets on how long it would take you to realize that Lyneyâs been pining over you since forever.
Case in point: Lyney frowning over two identical flowers. She doesnât need to be a mind reader to know that her brother is having a midlife crisis over which flower to give you.
Lynette thinks he should just man up and confess. Preferably within the next week or so, otherwise sheâd lose her bet.
âLynette, which one is more eye-catching, the crimson one,â he holds up the flower in his right hand, then he raises the other one, âor the maroon one?â
Lynette gives him the deadest stare she can muster. âTheyâre the same color.â
âOh, sister, have you no taste?â Lyney tuts, pouting at her for a moment before returning to that constipated look as he squinted at the âcrimsonâ and âmaroonâ flowers. Talk about being delusional.
â(Y/N)âs not gonna care whether the rose is crimson or maroon or red,â she tells him. Youâd probably accept a dead flower if it came from Lyney, with that starry-eyed look you always got whenever he so much as glances your way. Lynetteâs not one to judge other peopleâs taste too harshly, but she does wonder what you see in her overdramatic and annoying brother.
Ah, well. They do say love makes people blind. Hopefully not literally though, Lynetteâs not looking forward to performing shows alone because Lyney got blinded by his love for youâthough if you asked Lynette, sheâd tell you it wasnât love so much as obsession. Only someone insane would spend hours picking out flowers and calling them âmaroonâ and âcrimsonâ. Itâs just red.
Lynette squints at him. âAnd since when were you interested in the meaning of flowers?â
âWell, I suppose you could say I like to dabble in other pursuits.â Lyney gives her a cheeky grin.
âRightâŠâ Heâs clearly losing his mind.
âRed roses symbolize true love, though rainbow roses in particular pertain to passion, andâŠâ He trails off, eyes blinking in astonishment. She can practically see the lightbulb appearing on top of his head.
With a flick of his wrists, the âcrimsonâ and âmaroonâ roses disappear. Lynette watches him warily, wondering what kind of outlandish idea has formed in that head of his.
But he doesnât elaborate more, only shoots a wink at her and says, âIâve got a great idea.â
â§
His great idea, as it turns out, is to corner you in an alleyway and make it rain rainbow roses around you as he asked you out on a date, all while Lynette is crouched on the roof, dumping sacks of rainbow roses and vindictively hoping one of them stabs Lyney in the eye. No such luck.
You, as the ever-crazy romantic that you are, are awestruck and amazed by what heâs done instead of weirded out like how a normal person would be. With an eager smile and a twinkle in your eye, you accept the rose in Lyneyâs hand and say yes when he asks you to meet him for dinner tomorrow. Lynette wants to barf, but settles for dumping another sack of flowers on top of the two of you.
And if she uses a little bit of anemo to direct a few petals to Lyneyâs face? Well, you removing a petal sticking to his cheek and having your fingers linger there for a few moments wasnât part of the plan (the plan being: embarrass her brother by having him choke on a petal while heâs speaking), but she canât entirely begrudge the result. Not when Lyney looks like heâs about to have a meltdown with just one touch from you. Good blackmail material right there.
Lynetteâs happy that the two of you have finally gotten your heads off your asses and are actually going on a date. Though mostly sheâs happy about the amount of mora heading her way soon.
Sheâll have to thank Freminet for telling her about the bet about you and Lyney. Maybe she can start a new bet on when the two of you are getting marriedâprobably soon, if the lovestruck look on Lyneyâs face is anything to go by. She hopes he wonât be crazy enough to propose on the second date, because youâd certainly be crazy enough to accept if he did.
Oh, well. Lynette will put a bet on one month just in case.
#look i havenât done the archon quest yet#so i donât have a good feel yet of their characters#but iâm sticking with this characterization!!#genshin x reader#genshin impact x reader#lyney x reader#gn reader#lynette

đđĄđšđđšđ„đđ.
đ Traveling from nation to nation and learning the art of creating the most delicious chocolate has been a passion of yours for ages. However, upon stepping foot into the Nation of Flame, you never could have prepared yourself for the incoming wave of sweetness and obsession which was going to hit you like never before.
A/N: This story is loosely inspired by Joanne Harris' book of the same title, Chocolat. It's a book that I am very fond of and I was inspired to write this once I saw that we were able to make chocolate in Natlan, probably the best thing in the game. I am a massive chocolate enjoyer, so... Also, the fic has some minor nsfw implications, just a bit of a heads up! Apologies if Kinich is not in character, oopsie.
yandere! kinich x fem! reader.

Proud warriors, the scorching hot sun and eternal flames were the first things that came to mind whenever you would think about Natlan. As a humble Mondstadter, it never occurred to you just how rich this nation was, how welcoming the people were going to be and not to mention how this place could help you develop your love for chocolate.
Stirring the pot in front of you was no easy task as the decadent scent of delightful goodness enveloped the entire humble little hut which you occupied, the entire floor littered with pots and pans filled to the brim with your creations and some personal trinkets which you had brought for yourself along for the journey.
One of Natlan's great tribes, the Scions of the Canopy, had graciously taken you under their wing and allowed you the privilege of experiencing the culture firsthand. You let out a wistful sigh as the chocolate bubbled happily before you, the dark liquid almost looking too good to be real.
You always took pride in your skills as a chocolatier, even if you hardly considered yourself the best one in the whole entire world. An endless sky of knowledge was out there waiting for you, the voices of the unknown beckoning you to come forward and seize them with your own two hands.
You were a true Mondstadter at heart. No matter where you were or how far you traversed, the wind was always there to guide you, to show you the right path. And right now, the flow of the wind said to stay in Natlan, to finally stop and smell the roses a little.
And each rose you touched had never been as sweet.
The rose, your rose, had a name and merely thinking of him sent your heart ablaze. Messy dark hair, gorgeous dew eyes and skin so perfectly rough and tender at the same time, it made you wonder how he managed to pull off something so contradictory.
That was Kinich's charm, you supposed. Cheeky little thing, he always looked out for you ever since he saw you. Despite his dry humor and straightforward attitude, there was a certain gentle quality to him which made him so irresistible, as if he was temptation personified. Never once did he leave you alone for the entirety of your trip if it could be helped, which came as a shock to his fellow tribe members.
Looking back on it, you were foolish to not see his intentions, even more so for not paying attention to the longing glimmer in his eye and how he would trail after you like a shadow.
He was shy, at first. Unsure on how he should express his feelings, Kinich merely resorted to doing things for you, because he was simply that kind of man. Actions speak louder than words and there was no word in the dictionary which could describe the way in which his chest would tighten in pain whenever he would make eye contact with you, as if large and thorny vines had sprouted from the ground up and taken root in his soul.
You are sweeter than any chocolate you could possibly make, he whispered into your ear one evening.
A shudder came over you, your cheeks hot at the memory of that night... The moon was high and full, overtaking the pitch black sky as Kinich had pinned you to the ground, his gaze boring deeply in your own, those large eyes focused on you and only you...
Chewing your bottom lip, you stirred the pot harshly as the memory replayed in your head over and over - his grip, which was tighter than any rope imaginable, the feeling of melted chocolate which was caked over your lips and fingers, the sensation of Kinich's tongue as he licked away the sweet goodness off your body...
By the seven, this was too much.
With a huff, you turned off the fire which was lit beneath the pot, your hands shaking with excitement as you felt your entire body growing hotter and hotter, making it harder to concentrate.
Damn that Kinich. Damn him for making you feel so wonderful, so wanted, so perfect. The thought of having to leave this place, it... It bordered on anguish. Sometimes, when you were sure no one was around, you would find a dark little corner and weep quietly to yourself. It was hard to manage the massive hiccups and keep the snot away from staining your clothes at first but you managed. Like always, you would find a way to get everything back in order and all would be well once you got everything out of your system.
You had fallen for Natlan. You had fallen even more so than Kinich. Even so, the wind was picking up once more, demanding that you make your next move.
There was so little time left to enjoy everything you had built here. Therefore, your plan was to make the most of everything you possibly could.
And Kinich was more than ready to assist with that.
He hid high up in a tree as he observed you, his face schooled into that of one of his classical nonchalance and stoicism. The chance of him being spotted by anyone up here was slim but even so, he liked to play it safe.
No one needed to know the pain he was in. No one needed to be aware of his more... dubious thoughts and actions. Kinich always fancied himself as a man of action rather than flowery words. And so, he acted.
Quietly, stealthily... Perhaps even a little lethally at times.
Violence was hardly ever the answer but if anyone got in his way and refused to back down, it was his only solution then.
Kinich had a solid reputation in his tribe - he was trustworthy, he was strong. This granted him access to many things, many useful and convenient things. All he had to do was say the word and most people would keep their mouths shut if they saw him somewhere he should not be. And if his poorly veiled threats were not enough, he was more than ready to take up his weapon and fight.
It really was that easy for him.
Sneaking into your newly built home was its own beast though.
This is wrong, he would chant inside his mind over and over again. The intensity of his actions and his nonchalant persona were always at a clash with one another, constantly fighting a never ending war. He should trust you, he knows you are capable, he has no right to be doing any of this even yet... And yet, he does it anyway.
Because he knows that if he doesn't do something, he will never see you again. Kinich knows that he will lose you to the wind if he lets you slip through his fingers, he will never get to experience what it means to be touched, to be loved.
He wants to adore you in the same way people adore your delectable creations. The various statues made from chocolates, the little cacao bites, the endless sea of pralines which would be devoured so fast by the masses that he could not keep up...
Whenever he had the luxury, he liked to imagine you as one of those pralines. Perfect and oh so easy to devour, you were nothing short of excellent in his eyes. Kinich was no blind fool, he was well aware that you had your flaws as well but he cared very little about that.
He wanted the entire package. He wanted you, wrapped up in a little bow and delivered on his doorstep like the world's most precious package, a package which he could unwrap and enjoy time and time over.
Even in his hazy state of mind, he could still recall how you tasted. Licking his lips, Kinich made sure to double check that he had taken a few things from your hut which could prevent you from finishing your latest project. Yes, that was petty of him.
But he could not be bothered to care.
The wind was cruel. Whenever a gust of it would blow at him, Kinich would scowl as he knew that it meant that you would take it as a sign to leave. His hair would get tousled as he would wrap his arms around his body, the constant yapping of Ajaw did him no good either.
The clock was ticking. There was only so much he could do to keep you here. A plan needed to be formed, fast.
For now, he was going to enjoy you in every way he could. He was going to be greedy and devour you wholly whenever the opportunity arose. As Kinich balanced himself up on the massive tree branch, yet another fresh gust of wind made its way towards him. He saw the way you popped your shoulders, that all too familiar smile on your face.
You loved the wind and the wind loved you. You loved to make chocolate and were quite excellent at it too.
Despite all that, Kinich loved you more. He adored you more than the sun adored the world, he wanted you more than unlike anything else before. He cursed the Anemo Archon underneath his breath, his poor lip bloody and bruised from the amount of times he had bitten it in order to keep himself quiet.
Kinch was a man of countless deeds. And he would find a way to keep you by his side, no matter the cost. Be it Celestia or the Abyss, there was no force in this world which could destroy the endless and raging fire he felt for you.

For your drabbles! "You're so excited all the time... it's kind of adorable." With Bucky and his wife? He is so in love with his bubbly wife!
Buckyâs bubbly wife
Pairing: Husband!Bucky Barnes x Wife!Reader
Warnings/Tags: established relationship, Bucky being the sweetheart he is, get some tissues because heâs adorable
Authors Note: Thank you for the sweet idea. Itâs a pretty short Drabble, but hope you enjoy it anyway. Divider made by me.
Events: Beginnings Bingo [Alts 1 | First Choice | @sweetspicybingo]
âThis is adorable! Bucky youâre the best, the best of the best. The most amazingââ you giggle, taking the bouquet of roses heâs holding out for you. ââMan one can only imagine, and youâre all mine.â
Bucky chuckles, shaking his head with a soft smile on his plump lips. And fuck, he adores the way you smile and giggle when you get the smallest thing he considers a normal thing. He, as you husband, is supposed to make you happy, to show you how much he loves you, in return he receives the same from you, too.
âYouâre so excited all the time, doll. Itâs kinda cute,â he laughs softly, watching you intensely when you pull out the small little card thatâs sitting between the roses. Your eyes widen, itâs a little, handmade card, a card Bucky made himself, just for you.
âYou made a card too!â You squeal, placing the roses on the table next to you before you open the small card.
While the front shows a picture of the two of you when you shared your first kiss, the inside shows a wedding photo of the two of you.
Baby doll,
today â six years back â you stepped into my life. It was the darkest time for me, but you brought the warmth and light back.
Itâs been six years, that I fell in love with your smile for the first time when I ordered the same ice cream you love so much â the first time I heard you giggle and my heart skipped a beat.
Itâs been six years and I keep falling in love with your smile, with your sweetness, with you giggle, with you.
Thank you for turning the darkness into the light and let me feel what true love really means.
I love you, precious.
âB-Buckyââ you whisper, tears in your eyes. Bucky smiles softly at you, the same soft expression heâs always having written all over his face when heâs around you. The same softness, he shows you ever single day, the one he will show you for eternity.
âItâs true. I thought, I know⊠we havenât really celebrated that day but when I walked past that ice cream shop a few days backââ Bucky interrupts himself, wrapping both of his arms around you. âI wanted to make sure that we cherish the day we met just as much as our wedding anniversary. Because without you, I donât know where I would be now. But one thing I know, I wouldnât be here, in our house, with my wife in my arms.â
âI love you, I love you,â you whisper, pulling Bucky down by his neck. Your lips only inches away from his that you can feel his warm breath. âI love you so much, and I wouldnât have done anything differently. Youâre and you will always be my first choice.â
Bucky smiles, leaning closer to press his lips softly against yours. âI wouldnât have want it any other way either, you were the missing piece of my puzzle. But now itâs complete, Iâm complete with you, my precious, baby doll.â And damn, he loves it. It loves you. How sweet and excited you can be, but also how you can always find words to make him speechless, to make him fall in love with you just like he did the first date he met you.

Knight Caleb with Princess!Reader who has been given away to the heir of the foreign kingdom and he has to accompany his only friend, his only love on the journey to said kingdom and it haunts him that a stranger gets the privilege of marrying you and not him. That a man who barely knows what fruits you like(if you ask him the same, he'd say it is you that tempts him the most - his forbidden apple) or what scandalous books you read and giggle at(romances and erotica that make you swoon and wonder how marital bliss would look on you, and he almost swears that he can surpass all the fantasies your sweet mind has conjured up) - all because he was born a royal. Caleb who resents the fact that he wasnât born royalty; sometimes he wishes on a shooting star, even though he knows they do not make anyone's wishes come true, that when he wakes up tomorrow, you are no longer shackled by the chains of duties and responsibilities anymore - that you are just a common girl, free to live and heâs just a boy whoâs madly in love with you.
Knight Caleb whose blood boils at the thought of that undeserving man touching you, kissing you, making love to you when all Caleb had wanted was to be by your side - no matter what. He'd be your friend, your lover, your protector - as long as it is you who commands it. Caleb who feels goosebumps raise on his skin when your fingers play with his hair, when your fingertips brush against his as you pass him by in a flurry of gentle wind, leaving behind the soft aroma of jasmine and roses behind. Caleb who has been your closest confidant all your life (your childhood friend, the only man who has ever made your heart beat violently out of your chest whenever he looks at you like youâre the sun, the moon and his entire galaxy)- who is tormented by you every night when you cry yourself to sleep, scared and alone in a foreign land with no one to rely on. Caleb who wants nothing more than to rush to your side and hold you - who wants to be your first kiss, first love, first fuck.
Knight Caleb who wants to feel your heated skin flushed against his body as he marks up your pristine skin with red bites, who stakes his claim on you by kissing your lips raw and making you lose your breath. Caleb who holds your hand as he talks you through it; murmuring praises into your neck as he whispers vows of eternal devotion - all for you. [But he knows you value your virtue, and he respects you too much to do anything that would tarnish your name, ever.]
Caleb who knows that you love him all the same, but your responsibilities surpasses any feelings you have for him. Caleb who won't stop you from performing your duty, but who will ensure he is able to complete his duty to you and your happiness - even if it means ensuring that your betrothed does not see the light of the day tomorrow.

-> User21: And then they say "we're just friends" ya just friends my ass
User93: Hmm so Lando spent his only day off during race week with y/n....interesting
Y/n waved as she watched Lando drive away from her doorstep. Today had been like a fever dream. When Lando called her, asking to spend time with her, Y/n was over the moon. It was like wishing for something and having it come true. As she entered the house, she got a text from Lando:
Lando đ§Ą: I had a lot fun! thanks for keeping me company today!
Smiling to herself, Y/n made her way into her bedroom. There at the vanity mirror was a photo of her and Lando from when they were 18 years old. It was the night they both went for a bonfire with some of their friends. It was also the first time Y/n realised that she was madly in love with Lando. She doesn't know if it was the melted marshmallow that he somehow managed to get in his hair or the fact that he noticed her getting cold amongst so many people at the bonfire and offered her his hoodie, a hoodie that she still wears to this date, but somehow, surrounded by friends, all Y/n could see was Lando, sitting on a wooden log, looking back at her from between the flames that rose from the wood.Â
As she got ready for the night Y/n got another text from Lando:
Lando đ§Ą: Just got home
Lando đ§Ą: Again thanks for today, everyone I called was busy or just didn't want to go. I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't been there
And the bittersweet feeling was back again. For Y/n, Lando was the sun; he was the center of everything. There was not a day that went by without him not being on her mind - their impromptu coffee runs, their inside jokes, their stolen glances. Yet every time Y/n let herself believe that something was going to happen between them, she was always met with disappointment. It seemed like she was always a convenient option for Lando. Someone he'd come to when he had no one around but would easily disregard when he found someone more exciting. Y/n thinks about all those times she spent crying because she felt used. About the time when Lando threw her a birthday party and then proceeded to spend the entire night hitting on almost every girl present at the venue. The worst part is that Y/n wasn't even mad; instead, she was sad about the fact that she wasn't one of the girls. All she would ask for at every birthday wish, every 11:11, every rainbow she saw was for Lando to finally see her.
Y/n could feel herself get emotional, so she decided to browse through her phone, when she got a notification on Twitter.

-> are you perhaps maybe idk just taking a wild guess here could be absolutely off dying your hair b****e??

One thing that Y/n was extremely grateful for in her friendship with Lando was being able to befriend George. Over the years, he had become like a brother to her, and because of George, she also got to know Carmen. She was like a breath of fresh air, and Y/n doesn't know how she would manage her life now without Carmen by her side. The moment they met, it was like they had known each other their whole lives. Carmen was always protective of Y/n. All those times that Y/n found herself crying over Lando, Carmen was always there with her, consoling her. She knows that Carmen wants the best for her and that she's disappointed that Y/n is dying her hair to make Lando like her more, but how can she not? The boy of your dreams likes blondes more, and she would do anything to make him like her. Looking up at the mirror, Y/n stared at her tied-up brunette locks. In the reflection, she caught sight of a book kept on top of her table. She let out a bitter chuckle, remembering the time Lando had posted that book and talked about how impressed he was with it. Like an idiot, Y/n got that book and read it word for word, in hopes that Lando would think that she is smart and that they have more in common than he might think. Instead, Lando barely even registered her comment about the book; he was more focused on the waitress who was taking their order.Â

-> Love Party Boy!Lando đŸ
Lando quickly posted a story before he kept his phone back and continued to talk to the girl in front of him. George, Lando, Charles, and a couple of other drivers had decided to go clubbing before race week, and so here Lando was surrounded by friends, enjoying himself. So lost in his conversation, Lando did not notice three pairs of eyes on him. From afar, Y/n, Carmen, and George watched Lando interact with some blonde girl. The three of them had decided to come together for the club.
Y/n felt like laughing at her fate; no matter what she does, he still won't pay attention to her the way she wants him to. Even with her now blonde hair, he was still talking to someone else. Lando made his way towards the trio with the girl from earlier. "Hey, mate, how's it going?" he asked George before turning towards Carmen and saying, "Carmen! It's always a pleasure to see you. You look fabulous, by the way." Lando turned towards Y/n and gave her a nod before taking a sip from his drink, not bothering to say anything else.Â
"Good mate, don't you want to, say, compliment Y/n too?" George asked, having seen the look of hurt on Y/n's face when Lando didn't say anything about her. "Nah mate, yk it's just Y/n; she's not the compliment type," Lando said before laughing and throwing an arm around Y/n's shoulder.
Pain, hurt, and embarrassment. That's all Y/n felt under Lando's embrace. She could see the girl from earlier smirking at Y/n after Lando's comment. Suddenly she felt hot, the kind of hot that makes you want to disappear entirely. Carmen saw right through Y/n's fake smile after what Lando had just said. She knew Y/n needed a moment alone, away from this scene and, most importantly, away from Lando. "Y/n I wanted to go touch up my makeup. Would you accompany me to the restroom?" Carmen said and grabbed Y/n's hand, pulling her towards the restroom.Â
George and Lando went to the bar to get another drink when George said, "You know, that was kinda mean back there." Lando looked at George, confused. "What you said to Y/n," said George. Lando just shrugged and said, "Yk, how it is with me and her, we're always like this." "Do you know she likes you, like more than a friend?" George couldn't help himself; he knew he'd hear from Carmen and Y/n about this, but he just couldn't control himself. "What?" Lando looked at George, a little shocked. "Ya man, she does. Idk why you keep on chasing these meaningless girls when you have someone as amazing as Y/n by your side, and what for some hours of pleasure?" George said this before he took a sip of his drink and looked at Lando. "Why didn't she say anything?" George just shrugged at that. Lando's mind went back to all the interactions they've ever had, trying to piece together a moment that might confirm this theory that George had just blurted out.Â
Meanwhile, in the restroom, Carmen was trying to calm down Y/n "He's just stupid; don't listen to him. You know how many people have come up to try to talk to you today. Don't let him ruin your night," said Carmen. Y/n running hands through her hair, "Ya, but none of them were him, and now he just went ahead and embarrassed me in front of everyone like that." Taking a deep breath, Y/n said, "I think I want to go home. Ya, I'll see you tomorrow for the practice." With that, Y/n rushed out of the restroom and towards the exit.Â
Lando saw Y/n leave in a rush and followed her. "Y/n,"Â "Y/n wait up." She heard Lando's voice but continued to make her way towards the exit to book a cab for herself. "Wait up, where are you going? And are you booking a cab? It's not safe to take a cab this late," Lando said as he caught up with her at the exit. "It's okay; I'll manage just fine. You can go back to the party now," Y/n replied bitterly before typing in her address. Just as she was about to confirm the cab, Lando took her phone from her hand. "WHAT?" Y/n said a little louder than she had intended to, making a few people look their way. "I'll drop you; please, let me," Lando said before he took her hand and led her to his car.Â
The journey was filled with silence; not a single word was exchanged between the two of them. Not even a single glanceâwell, not from Y/n at leastâbecause Lando kept looking at her every few minutes or so. Growing tired of this weird air in the car, Y/n asked, "Do you want to say anything?" Lando just looked back at her without saying anything. "If not, then please stop looking at me again and again," Y/n said. "I can't help it; you look absolutely stunning," said Lando. Y/n scoffed at that comment before saying, "Oh, why the praise? I thought I wasn't the compliment type." Lando internally regrets saying that now. "Look, I know that you like me. George told me," Y/n felt her heart drop, waiting for Lando to continue, to tell her that he was not interested in her and that she could never be his type- "And I want to give this a try," said Lando, breaking her from her thoughts. "Whatt?" Y/n, not believing her ears, asked again. "What do you mean by you want to give this a chance?" Lando stopped the car at the traffic light before turning to look at Y/n. Taking a hold of her hand, he said, "I want to see where this goes. We have such great chemistry, and everyone else also seems to think the same. I want to give us a try." "So, what do you say, Y/n, L/n? Will you date me?" Lando looked at Y/n, expecting her to answer; what he didn't expect was for her to pull him in for a kiss. It was only when the car behind them started honking that they pulled away from each other. Lando drove Y/n back to her house. The car was filled with silence again, but this time, rather than tension, it was filled with this newfound excitement.Â

User22: The end of an era!!!
Y/n looked around at all the people that had gathered here to celebrate Seb. She had not known him for that long, but when she needed him; he was there for her. It is funny how they first met; it was the race after Y/n's birthday, and Lando had invited her to the paddock as a way to make up to her for ignoring Y/n during her birthday party, which he threw. Y/n was so excited to spend time with him, but all that excitement died down when she got to know that Lando had also invited some of his other friends. Still, she tried to get along with everyone for Lando's sake but it was of no use. Lando barely exchanged a few words with her, instead he spent his entire time with his other friends, which included a bunch of models from Instagram. Y/n remembers how she had gone for a walk in hopes to make her self feel better when she ran into Seb. He just had a way with people, upon seeing her Seb immediately knew something was wrong and what was meant to be a quick 5 min walk to clear her mind turned into a 2 hour ranting session for Y/n. Rest is all history, since then Seb sort of took Y/n under his guidance, always giving her advise when she needed it.
Y/n felt someone stand next to her, and when she turned, she was face-to-face with the man of the evening himself. "Not getting bored, are you?" Seb asked Y/n while giving her a little nudge. "Of course not, just sad that I won't get to see you in the paddock anymore," Y/n said as she let out a sign. Gently pulling her in for a side hug, Seb said, "I see you got the guy!" This caused Y/n to turn her attention to Lando. There he was, the boy she had fallen in love with a long time ago, falling in love with her too. It was as if he could sense her gaze, because at that moment Lando turned to look at Y/n and smiled at her before going to talk to more people present at the party. "Yes, now you no longer have to listen to me mope over him, huh?" Y/n said as she smiled at Seb. "Just know that if he ever breaks your heart, I'll slash his tyres," Seb playfully threatened as he took a sip of his drink. Y/n laughed at his comment before excusing herself to go talk to Alexandra and Carmen.
After a while of chatting, Y/n started to wonder where Lando was. Making her way around the room, she saw him talking to some brunettes. So many people were invited that Y/n had no clue who most of them were. As she made her way towards Lando, she saw the girl raise her hand to fix his hair. Y/n could feel jealousy brewing in her. Quickly making her way towards him, she threw an arm around his waist and greeted him. "Hey, babe, where have you been? They are about to serve dinner; I thought I should come and get you," Y/n said as she looked at the girl in front of her. "Oh yeah, let's get going. I'll talk to you later, Luisa. It was lovely meeting you here, and again, you look amazing. Have a great night," Lando said as he wrapped his arm around Y/n and started walking towards the dining area with her. Y/n forced herself to smile; she told herself that it's okay; Lando is with her now. All these meaningless compliments to other girls are not going to do anything to change that. At the end of the day, she gets to go home with him, not them, and that's enough. Y/n knew there was no point in dwelling on this; it was not going to do her any good, and if she brought it up, it might cause a fight between them. So instead, Y/n turned her attention to the food in front of her and the people around her. Taking part in their conversation, so she could forget the thoughts plaguing her mind.

-> User48: Honestly I think they look better together
Y/n felt hurt and disappointed. Boys trip! That's what Lando had said, so when she saw him post pictures with Luisa, she felt her heart sank. For a moment, Y/n was still ready to ignore this; maybe she was there at the same time, or maybe they did plan to go. Who cares? She trusts Lando, and that's all that should matter. But all the comments under his post talking about how he looks better with Luisa and how Lando and Y/n should have never gotten together made her question everything.
Unable to think straight, Y/n called Lando:
Lando: Hey, babe (he greeted cheerfully)
Y/n: (For a second, Y/n wanted to forget about all of this and just not make things worse between them) Hey Lan, How was the trip?
Lando: Oh, it was great. I had so much fun; the boys and I went on a safari and all too!! It was just amazing
Y/n: Oh, did the boys have fun?
Lando: Yes, it was honestly one of the best trips I've ever been on
Y/n: Why was Luisa with you guys? (Y/n went straight to the topic, tired of beating around the bush)
Lando: (hesitant) What do you mean, she came on the trip with us?
Y/n: You never told me she was also going. Why did she go anyway? I thought it was just an "all boys trip," or is Luisa one of the boys now?
Lando: What do you even mean? Of course not. Luisa came because I invited her. That day at Seb's dinner, we had such a good conversation that I asked her if she wanted to come with us. I mean, what's the big deal anyway?
Y/n: What's the big deal? The big deal is that you failed to mention to your girlfriend, who is still me, that you were going on a trip with another girl who, by the way, you met a couple of weeks ago. And now you're telling me you invited her?? Do you see why I am having a hard time trying to wrap my head around this?
Lando: Honestly, you're making a bigger deal than it actually is. Ya, so I invited her. It's not like I fucked her or anything, and forgive me if inviting a friend on a trip is a crime.
Y/n: A friend I'd still understand; she's not your friend Lando, and if anything, you should have asked me to come and not her!
Lando: Is that what the problem isâyou're jealous I didn't invite you? Honestly, Y/n that's just pathetic, even for you. Your constant need to be around me 24/7 is so annoying sometimes. Do you ever think that maybe I invited Luisa because I can't stand this clingy behaviour of yours? But, of course, you'd never think about how you might be at fault here. I just feel like you can never be satisfied, like ever. Every time I talk to a girl, you have an issue. I mean, if it's such a huge issue, then let's just end things. That would make things a lot simpler for the both of us.
Y/n: No, wait, I didn't mean it like that. I'm sorry if you felt like that. I had no idea that you were feeling like that. I swear, I don't have an issue with you interacting with other girls. It's just all these comments online that have been getting to me.
Lando: You know, they always say random things. People ship me with any beautiful girl they see me with, but that doesn't mean that it will come true. You should be so easy to control that even meaningless comments get to you.
Y/n: Ya, I'm sorry
Lando: It's okay. Now, what are you doing tonight? There is a party I want to attend, and I wanted to know if you'd like to come with me
Y/n: Oh, nothing, I'm free. Pick me up at 8?
Lando: You got it! Anyway, I should get going.
Y/n: Bye, I love yo-(Lando hung up before she could finish)
Signing to herself, Y/n opened her chat with Carmen
Y/n: Hey, sorry to inform you at the last minute, but something came up and I won't be able to make it tonight. (Y/n felt guilty about ditching Carmen on their movie night. She knew if she told her the real reason, Carmen would be extremely upset with Y/n, but more than that, angry at Lando)
Carmen đ€: Is everything okay??
Y/n: Ya, ya, everything is fine. I just remembered this thing I had to complete that I forgot because I kept on procrastinating.
Carmen đ€: Ofc you'd do that đ€Šđ»ââïž How many times have I told you to use the planner I gave you? It would make life so much simpler for you

LN4Updates: Lando Norris and Luisinha Oliveira were spotted in the Mclaren vicinity. The two previously went on a trip together to Dubai. Fans on Twitter are convinced that these two are seeing each other and that Norris and Y/n L/n have broken up, but there is no confirmation from all the parties involved. From what we can gather, Norris and Oliveira seemed to have a friendly conversation. Some fans present at the race claim that they saw Norris being a little more affectionate towards Oliveira, but nothing can be said for certain. Is this the end of Norris and L/n, or is there more to the story?

User20: NOO don't tell me they broke up!!!
User82: Honestly I kinda knew this was gonna happen. I mean Y/n is not really Lando's type. I was really surprised when they had announced they were dating
-> User08: Okay but who asked you for your opinion?? They are perfect
-> User77: I'd have to disagree. Lando and Luisa are more compatible you just don't want to accept the fact that lany/n are not that great
Y/n was fuming. She felt as if someone had slapped her right across the face. Even after letting Lando know about her concerns and reservations about him hanging out with Luisa, he went ahead and did it again. Was this the reason why Lando urged Y/n to take a break from the constant travelling? So that he could have Luisa in the paddock with him? Y/n was disgusted; she felt used and discarded. She changed everything about herselfâher hair, the way she dresses, the way she talksâhell, she even started to go to his stupid parties with him to make him like her more. There is always a breaking point in everyone's life, and Y/n had reached that.Â
Y/n could feel hurt and anger taking over when she heard the front door of her house open. Lando was home from the race. Without wasting a second, Y/n barged into the living room, only to find Lando relaxing on the couch. "How dare you!" Y/n screamed at Lando. If she wasn't so mad, she would have laughed at Lando's confused expression. "What? What do you mean?" asked Lando. "Don't play dumb with me. I told you how I felt about her, and yet you still invited her to the paddock." Y/n could feel tears pricking her eyes. "What? Luisa? How many times do we have to go through this? At this point, I might as well date her. Because clearly, that's what you think I am doing anyway. You might as well make your wish come true," Lando finished. "I hate you, Lando Norris. I fucking hate you so much. I changed everything EVERYTHING for you. I wanted to be like all those girls you usually like. I changed the way I wear makeup; I changed my freaking hair color because you said you liked blondes more in a stupid stream." Y/n let out a shaky breath before continuing. "When you told me you wanted to give us a try, I was so happy. It felt like the universe had finally heard my prayers. I was so happy that I spent the entire night lying on my bed with a huge smile on my face. You know, I always feared that this would happen. I knew that you'd leave me the second you'd find someone more exciting," Y/n said as she wiped the tears streaming down her face. "I had no idea you felt like this," Lando said. For a second, he almost sounded genuine, like he finally saw how his actions had affected Y/n. "I'm sorry you felt that way," Lando said as he looked back at her. "It's a little too late for sorry now, Lando. You have done the damage," Y/n said. "I said I was sorry. Why can't that be enough for you? What do you want me to do? Stop talking to every girl I ever see." Lando said, getting frustrated with how things were going. "I should have known that this was just a waste of time. I would have had such an easy life if George hadn't opened his big mouth and blabbered about how my life would be much better if I just gave you a try and stopped chasing after meaningless pleasure. If only I had known that I was just choosing one meaningless pleasure over another," Lando said as he finally let his frustration take over. Y/n couldn't take it anymore. "Get out! Just get the hell out of my house. I don't want to see your face ever again. I regret the day I met you. I regret it with every fibre present in my body," Y/n said as she watched Lando leave her house, but not before slamming the front door shut.Â
Y/n broke down, sinking to the floor. She took her phone out to text Carmen.

-> User66: That's so true! I was thinking the same thing. I mean unless....This has been going on for a while! That's the only explanation cause why else would he jump into a new relationship so quickly??
-> User82: I mean it could be! Do you think this is why George unfollowed Lando??
Y/n saw Lando's post, confirming that he was with Luisa. Y/n hated that girl. She had everything Y/n could have wanted, and she didn't even have to change herself to get Lando's attention. Tired of feeling sorry for herself, Y/n made her way to her bathroom. Standing in front of the mirror, all she could see was a part of her that she no longer liked. A pathetic part of her that tried everything just so she could get a boy to love her longer. Frustrated, she got into her car and drove to the salon she always goes to. It was about time she felt like her old self again, and the easiest step in that direction was getting rid of the sad blonde locks that covered her head.

F1Gossip: Bye bye Lando! Y/n L/n, the former girlfriend of Lando Norris, was spotted getting cozy with singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes. The two reportedly first met when they were doing a campaign together for Tommy Hilfiger. Ever since the announcement of Norris's new relationship, L/n has become radio silent. Apart from posting a single story and work-related content, L/n has left her fans guessing about what's been going on with her life. Neither Mendes nor L/n have commented on the paparazzi photos that captured them looking anything but friendly. Is there a new couple on the block or are they "Just Friends?" Stay tuned for more updates on this situation!

AllthingsF1: Trouble in paradise? Lando Norris and Luisinha Oliveira were seen engaged in a heated argument right before today's qualifying. This comes at a time when Norris has been going through a rough patch these past few races; from constant crashes to DNFs, Norris can't seem to catch a break. Is this off-track drama affecting his performance, or is this simply a coincidence? Some also believe that this could also be the result of Y/n L/n announcing her new relationship. Could this be the downfall for Lando Norris, on and off track?

F1Tea: Lando Norris is out of the race again! After yet another crash, the chances of Norris and McLaren doing well in the championship seem to be decreasing, race by race. Many fans blame Norris for getting distracted and not performing at his best. Some believe that this poor performance is the result of issues Norris has been facing in his personal life. After his breakup with Luisinha Oliveira, Norris has not been coping that well. Norris also seemed to like a few tweets (now unliked) about his relationship with Y/n L/n. Norris broke up with L/n a few months ago, after which the two have not been in contact. He also immediately got together with Oliveira after their breakup. It's about time that Norris gets out of this slump he's been going through if he wants to hold on to his Formula 1 dream.

Y/n closed her phone when she heard the front door open, following which she heard a loud bark, and before she knew it, through came her little fur baby, ready to give her all the cuddles in the world. She looked up from her spot on the cough and saw Shawn enter the room holding up a bag of muffins. "Blueberry?" Y/n asked with a hint of excitement in her voice. "You know it! I saw it on my way back and knew how you were craving these. So I got a bunch of them," Shawn said as he kept the baked goods on the counter and made his way towards the couch. "What happened?" Shawn asked, noticing how Y/n looked a little distracted. "Nothing; I just got a text from Lando," Y/n said before looking back at Shawn. "Why? Did he say anything stupid? If so, let me know, because then he'll have to deal with me," Shawn said as he stroked Y/n's leg. "No, he just said he misses me. You know, if I hadn't met you and realized what being in an actual relationship is like, I actually would have gotten back with him," Y/n said as she petted their dog, who was exhausted and almost asleep after a morning run with his dad. "But I am glad that I found you. I have never felt more like myself than when I am with you. I just want to say that I love you so much and I love our little family," Y/n finished. Shawn quickly got up from his place and tackled Y/n. "I love you too. So much, you won't believe it, and I can't wait to expand our little family," Shawn said, smirking at Y/n before he started peppering her face with kisses. Laughter was the only sound that filled the L/n-Mendes household as they spent the rest of the afternoon talking and watching old movies.

Lando looked at Y/n's story, and all he felt was pain. Not only did he lose a person who truly loved him, he also lost one of his best friends. Being with Luisa was exciting; it made him feel young and full of life. The idea of settling down seemed so foreign back then that Lando couldn't have cared less about how his actions might have affected Y/n. He knew it was wrong to flirt with multiple women, even though he was in a committed relationship, but all of that felt like nonsense to him back then. But as he lay in bed, sad and alone, Lando realised just how much of an impact Y/n had on his life. He lost the girl, and now he's on the verge of losing his career as well. Lando felt a tear roll down his face. One became two, two became four, and before he knew it, he was full of tears. There was nothing Lando could do; he laid the bed with all his actions, and now he has to sleep in it. Tired of it all, Lando finally let sleep take over him, hoping that when he wakes up later, his heart will feel a little lighter.

đȘđđ¶đž đ°đđđ đ¶ đŻđŒđđž, in a land far, far away, where the treetops touched the soft clouds of the sky and the water sparkled under the glowing sun, where mountains rose high, and long, deep caves ran through them, where the sea met shore in collisions of swirling, foamy punches, where the undead walked among the living, where the winged flew above the finned, there was a land where things beyond reason and rhyme existed perfectly true. Among those strange beings and within the veils of Aethera, there was a girl loved by death.Â
He sits on your shoulder, a dark, boding shadow and glared at those around you with promise in his eyes.
Thatâs how it seems, anyway. Thatâs how everybody looks at you. They dodge you, whisper about you, evade your gaze as if he might reach his claws for them next if they linger for too long.
Crows with dead eyes arrive at your doorstep like some loverâs cheeky gift, other poor creatures like fat grey mice are left to rot in the wheatfields, and yarrow stocks wilt outside the wall of your room. If Death thinks that you are flattered, he misunderstands you. You are terrified of nothing more than dying. The first time, it was a sly joke. Then it happened again, and you watched their eyes change. And it happened again and again, and your people are a suspicious type. Something can only be a coincidence so many times.
When you began to sneak into a little shack with a village boy, you thought that maybe, somehow, this would all pass. He died too. Thereâs really no coming back from that, is there? You donât blame them. Youâre not the freak that they all believe you to beânone of them get close enough anymore to know that, though.
The wickerbasketâs handle creaks under your fist. You usually only forage along the shallow line of the forest; you pluck from bramble bushes topped with plump berries that crawl between trees during the summer, and when the crab apple treeâs branches hang heavy with the fruit, you snatch those up too. Youâre more useful to your family out here, in the woods that they deem just as cursed as you. Where you wonât be their burden.
Crisp autumn leaves crunch under your boots. You scan between themâmore grey and rotted this late in the season than fresh and orangeyâfor the edible mushrooms and roots that you usually forage at this time of year. The basketâs already pretty heavy with a variety, black morels and sorrel and burdock, as you bend down to pull a truffle from the dirt against a tree.
You drop it down with the rest of your finds. The basket smells like earth, no doubt your hands do too. You dust your palms off on your skirts and go to rise back from your squat.
A deep, billowing horn pierces the forestâs silence. Itâs both far away, wiggling between the whispers of rustling leaves, and much too close. It draws out. Long. Bone-chilling. You freeze, scanning between each tree trunk and praying that you wonât find what you fear you might.
You are much deeper into the woods than you usually are. Than you ought to be. And you know what that horn meansâyou know that it means something far worse than what youâd been afraid of, coming into these woods. Much more primordial than the hide-behinds you were scared you might find this deep, much less avoidable than the faerie rings you stepped around.
Why would The Wild Hunt be here? A shudder runs down your spine, and you curl your fingers into your skirts and lift them as if to prepare to run, but you donât. Your feet find root in the forest floor and all you can do is stand terribly still in catatonia. Their horn sounds again, and a procession of wicked whoops and howls follow. Wild hoofbeat rumbles under it allâthe hunt and their rides. You hope that theyâre just passing through, and you wonât so much as see one of those wild riders. There were plenty of folktales that the matrons of your village would bolster to terrify you as children, but you knew even then that their stories of the riders, with their flesh falling away from them and their pale or beady eyes and their gnarled maws and frightening figures as they rode on the backs of equally terrible steeds, were not fabricated. They are not a bogeyman or a wailing banshee; they are death made in the flesh, and they are here. In your forest.Â
Your legs wonât work. You curl your clammy fingers tighter around your basket and lean into the tree beside you. How deep had you wandered into the forest? Hopefully not too far; when you gain the courage to run, you hope that they do not send their hounds to snap their foul breath on your heels. Maybe just standing here and blending into the trees is best. The Hunt would love a chase, and you donât want to become their next.
The next call comes and you throw that all to the wind. Your heart pounds against your ribcage as you let your basket clatter to the leaves and you take off. You fly over roots and shrubbery and between the trees, your blood roaring in your ears faster. Youâd oblige if you could.
Above the loudness of your frantic mind, the harrowing whinnies and The Huntâs ruckus dulls until itâs faraway again, and then itâs gone. Well, you donât stop to check if theyâve really passed through the forest. You just run.
âThere you are, love.â
His voice cuts through your frantic escape and stops you dead in your path. You almost go crashing down over the ground with the force that you dig your heels into it. Though the voice is non-threatening, you donât turn to face the source.
He speaks again. You already know who it is. He, old as the earth you stand on itself, leads that band of wild riders. Is the king of the undead, collects souls for reaping.
And heâs the one whoâs plagued you with his attention. Death.
âWhy do you keep your back turned to me?â he says. âI frighten you. That hurts.â His voice lilts with amusement and sharpness. âI wish that you would face me.â
Youâre not fond of the way that he speaks to you with a familiarity. But then again, youâre not fond of dying, either. Your legs are boneless beneath you. Turning, you slowly indulge him, though it takes a great amount of willpower to not run again like your jittering jaw and trembling hands ask you to.
The King of Death stands tall and utterly preternatural, leaned against a crooked tree in the woods behind you. His smile cracks across his face in a jagged way that suggests he finds you amusing, but none of that meets his eyes. Theyâre the color of the greyish, rotted leaves beneath you. The dark shadows beneath his eyes are the only thing belying the weight that his infinite life might have on him. That, and the hollowness that rings from him.
And though he sounded entirely playful, you are shaken by the sorrow that you find in him now that youâve turned. Even more so, youâre not sure why you feel it echoed somewhere in the hollows of your bones. âIâm sorry,â you say. It trembles terribly. You want to say that youâre sorry you caught his attention, but it seems youâve always had his attention. Itâs more that you are petrified down to your marrow that the timeâs come that you face this⊠strange infatuation. Here he stands: the one who leaves hollowed out husks of creatures at your doorstep. Should you run or thank him? Is Death as prideful a creature as the other kinds that inhabit Aethera? âI donât mean toâŠâ
He pushes off his tree, fixing his cape that cascades over only one of his shoulders. Itâs tattered and falling apart like the rest of his clothing, though you think that the bronze stitching and swirling oakleaf patterns in the black say that they might have been immaculate at some point. Or maybe they werenât, and they had started that way. He is Death, anyway. âYouâre sorry?â he says. âWhy are you apologizing to me? Youâve hardly done a thing to warrant it.â
Faltering, you wet your chapped lips. Youâre not really sure. Holding back another apology for fear that youâve offended him and heâll now strike you down for it, you say, âI thought that, maybe the hunt wasâŠâ Wow, you sound stupid. You can see in the sly smile his lips form that it amuses him. Thatâs almost worse than angering him: intriguing him. What you really should be doing is boring him so that heâll find you a waste of his time. Then, maybe, heâd give up haunting you.
âAfter you?â he finishes. Shaking his head, he says, âMy hunters only answer to me.â
âOh,â you say plainly. Part of you wants to ask why that should comfort you, especially when youâre the one that he sends little bits of death to, but rationality keeps those words in the back of your throat. You donât really want to know. âWhy are you passing by here?â
Something akin to old longing passes through those witty eyes, and then he eats up the distance between you with languid steps of his long legs until heâs nothing more than one last step in front of you. The closeness consumes the air in your lungs, leaving nothing for you but short and shallow drags. The forest has gone dead silent aside from the sound of it. His voice is even more magnetic now that heâs so close.
You recoil when he brings a hand up to brush the pad of his thumb over your cheek and then cup your jaw, as if afraid that he might snuff you out here and now. His fingers are softer than you thought they might be, and the lines of his face sharpen into what you think is hurt. Hurt that you flinched?
âWe go here and there,â he says, âbut itâs been a very long time since we came here.â Thereâs a certain thickness to his words; a certain tension coiled over them from something that youâre not privy to. And yet, thereâs a farawayness, too. You bet heâs full of a lifetime of secrets. Lifetimes of secrets. âBut I think Iâve found myself a reason to finally return.â
Breathy and still struggling to flatten out your breathing, you ask him, âWhy?â
The Undead Kingâs smile turns wicked once more, and he doesnât answer you. Itâs awfully eerie.
âDo you have⊠business here?â you try again. Itâs a roundabout way of asking, do you have someone to take away?
âI have business wherever the living go,â he says, letting your face go but not giving you any more room. You narrow your eyes. Heâs quite good at non-answers. âNothing is more certain than that I will greet every living thing eventually. Iâll come to take you, too, when the time comes.â
Your mouth dries up. The entirety of your home, all the people youâve ever known, fear you for all the death you bring. Not one of them fears it more than you do. Youâve seen it enough to fear its frightening finality.
The drop of your face mustâve told him how much that scared you. âDying is not such an awful thing, love. Living pales in comparison.â Searching your eyes, he adds, âBut Iâve not come to take you.â
Thatâs easy for him to say: that death isnât something to fear. His words donât calm your thundering heart, but you offer him a, âThank youâŠâ It trails off toward the end when you realize that you donât have his name. If he has one, anyway.
âYeonjun.â He tilts his head, strands of sparrow hair brushing over his watching eyes. âMost donât know it, but youâre not most people, are you?â
Your breathing had just begun evening out. Itâs a shame, the way that it kicks back up at the way he looks at you. âWhat do you mean?â you say, but of course you know. Nobody else is given dead things like you. Itâs not like you yourself are very strange; you like pretty dresses and sharing gossip with friends just as much as any other girl your age.
Giving you another one of those knowing smiles that he uses just like words, he steps back. âIâm sorry that I scare you how I do.â
You donât answer him. What could you say to that? That he doesnât? That would be a lie, and he would know it.
Yeonjunâs eyes flit over your face, over your cheeks made pink by the autumn cold, lingering on your lips for a few unexplainable beats, and then landing on your eyes where he searches and finds something that sends his throat bobbing with a thick swallow. âI donât mean to be your monster. Itâs only thatâŠâ He steps back again. âYou remind me a terrible amount of someone I once knew.â
âWho?â Though your shoulders relax a bit with some distance between the two of you, you do your best to not let your guard down. All the stories that you recall being told, all those cautionary tales passed down through word of mouth around a fire, end with some stupid girl thinking that the monster could be changed or tricked. Youâre willing to bet that the man in front of you, no matter how human he looks or how enchanting his words are, could be neither.
That doesnât explain the ache in your chest when he holds your eyes for too long. But you shove that feeling way, way down. Itâs nonsensical.
His voice takes on a parting tilt when he says, âIt doesnât matter anymore. Death takes us all.â Yeonjun dips his head at you. His smile wavers. Youâd think that crooked smile on his mouth was indelible had you not seen it twitch down at the corners only for a moment. If youâd have blinked, youâd have missed it. âYou think Iâll hurt you,â he says, âwell, donât let me stop you. Go ahead, run. I apologize for your basket.â
Death takes us all. Youâre not sure what thatâs supposed to mean, coming from him, but it sends a cold wind up your spine and goosebumps crawling over your skin.
He watches you go. You donât look back when you do, but his gaze sits on your back until youâre sure youâre out of his sight. When you return to your home, your mother asks where the basket full of ingredients for supper went.
You imagine what her face might look like if you told her the truth. But that was impossible, so instead you tell her some stupid story about a wolf that startled you so bad that you ran home paying no mind to where your basket was. Itâs close enough to the truth.
àŒș ê àŒ»
It doesnât matter what you do; you canât get his face out of your head. While you cut butter into flour and then roll out dough, simmer fruits over flame and you slice cheese off blocks, you replay that meeting in the forest. The memory spins and turns over no matter how hard you try to put it away from your thoughts.
Itâs not every day that somebody meets the likes of him. You canât blame yourself; he had such captivating eyes. Dark, playful, and endless. There they are again. You sigh and dust your hands off. Maybe you are just as strange as they all think that you are. Morbid curiosity is like that, though. Taking the most normal of us and making you wonder what you absolutely should not wonder about.
And you absolutely should not wonder about him.
The sun has begun to hang high in the sky, but the breeze that crawls through the window you pulled open before you got to work is a crisp one. Autumnâs really come, now. Outside the window, a huddle of children play around in the leaves that youâd raked up. Youâll have to rake those back up, but you hardly have the heart to tell them to take their playing elsewhere. Their giggles and small voices waft in with the breeze, and a traitorous part of you yearns for a family that you know youâll never have. No man would risk that fate, not after what happened to the last man who paid you any attention. You grit your teeth at the memory.
Having a face for the thing thatâs made your life the way it is is strange. Seeing him in the flesh, with handsome eyes and a taunting mouth, looking something near human, you think youâve come to resent him for it. How dare he ruin your life? He, more than anybody, should know how fleeting life is. What is in it for him to deface what little time you have? You keep going back to that thought: why did he ever even appear to you in that forest? There is not one story in which you remember Yeonjun showing his face to those he hasnât come to claim. Death makes his visits swift and purposeful.
Moreover, why on earth would he even look your way? You wish there was a plain way to ask him why, or even to plead with him to stop. Whatever it is heâd ask of you, you think you might give him. To get back to living, you would.
A deep, familiar voice from behind you gives you pause. âWant some help with that?â Soobin says. He stands in the doorway, his head nearly brushing the top of the frame. Itâs made too small for him. Most things in your tiny village were made too small for Soobin. There had been a time where youâd been taller than him, that had hardly lasted long enough.
âAs if,â you dismiss and gesture at his dirty hands. Heâd no doubt been out working his familyâs field, his tunic sleeves rolled up to his elbows. âCow shit isnât an ingredient.â
Anybody else mightâve scoffed or taken offense, but he just laughs and invites himself in anyway. It never fazes Soobin. He doesnât let you push him away.
Itâd be better if he did. How long before he ends up dead, too? Alive one moment, and then a husk without a soul next. You donât think you could handle seeing cold, dead eyes where the annoying, warm shine should be. Of course it would be better if he stayed away, if he had half the mind to. Even most of the children have heard enough from their mothers to stay a healthy distance. Heâs not too much better than a child, though.
âIsnât it?â he says. His cheek is smudged with whatever sort of dirt heâs got on his hands and under his nails. âIâm done with work for the day. Want to go out to the field?â
You two have always ran off and avoided your life in between willowy, flaxen wheat stocks. They were just tall enough at this time of year to hide you away. But, for some reason, your stomach does a quick flip at the thought of being outside. Itâs silly; couldnât he find you here, too? âIâm busy,â you say. Youâd already kneaded this roll of dough plenty, but you dig your fingers into it and begin again.
âBusy?â he scoffs, âSince when are you too busy to get away from work?â
Gritting your teeth, you let the sounds of your kneading answer. Now, more than ever, he should keep his distance. You know one thing that youâre sure nobody else does: Deathâs come to visit.Â
His brows shoot up in your peripherals. âI donât get answers today?â
âIâm sorry,â you say, giving up working the over-kneaded dough only because your arms ache. âWhy donât you go talk off the ear of some other poor village girl? Iâve heard as much as I can handle today. And then when that oneâs tired, you can bother the next, Iâm sure.â You soften the words with a quick smile his way. No matter how many times you say something sour in hopes that itâll send him away, as soon as you glance up at his face, you reel it in.
His company is all youâve ever had. The least you can do for him is make sure he doesnât end up like carrion, even if he chooses to take that risk himself. You donât know why he does.
Voice playful, he says, âIâm glad to hear that you believe Iâve got ladies falling at my feet, but Iâd rather not annoy a pretty girl, so youâre my only option.â He pokes at the sleeve of your simple cotton dress. âShould I drag you out of here? Donât your arms hurt doing all that?â
âOh, you are a refined man, arenât you?â you say, shuffling out of his reach. Damn him, he makes it difficult. âWell, I am a pretty girl, so you should take yourself elsewhere.â
Soobin smiles easy. âIâm bored out of my mind. Youâre just going to let me suffer?â
âThatâs not my issue.â
âIâd argue that it is,â he says. âCome on. Why are you giving me a cold shoulder?â Leaning, he tries to get a look at your face. âDid I upset you? I wasnât aware that you cared much about what I thought.â When you spare him a sharp glance, he says, âI think you are very, very beautiful. Would you stop ignoring me, now?â
You wish you could fall into the easy banter that comes with being around Soobin, but you canât. You canât let him be around you. âSoobin, stop it,â you say, draining your voice. You donât look at him while you say it.
Going quiet, he seems to notice that todayâs different. His gaze is heavy as he stares at you for a few long moments. Crossing his arms over his chest, he asks, âWhat happened?â
You swallow. âNothing. Iâm just doing something.â
âOh, alright,â he says, tone inflicting in a way that says he doesnât believe you one bit. He pushes off the counter. âIâve put up with you pushing me away for years. You think I donât know what youâre doing?â
âSoobin,â you warn. If you look at him, you fear youâll be forced to watch the only one who never cared much what a risk it was being around you leaving. So you donât.
Your friend raises his hands in the air defensively. âOkay, then.â He makes for the doorway with languid, lingering steps. As if he doesnât want to leave. âTomorrow..â
Thatâs both a threat and a promise, knowing him. Sighing and watching the rowan tree out your window sway, you bid him a curt goodbye.
If only that jerk took offense to things. It would make things an awful lot easier for you.
àŒș ê àŒ»
Being out in the wheat fields brings you peace when youâre alone, but you find it to be terribly lonely. The earthy, sweet scent of it wraps around you, and the stalks whisper against each other in a soothing way.
When you look beside you, the patch of wheat imprinted with the shape of your bodies is empty on his side. You are quite weak; it makes you want to go knocking at his door for his company. But that would be the selfish thing to do, so you card your fingers between the golden straw instead.
A chill trickles down your spine. You feel his presence before you even see him; itâs a feeling that you used to get fleetingly, as if something far away was tugging at you. But then he became real, a living thing in front of you that can touch, and that is much different.
âWhy is it that I always find you out in the wilderness?â Yeonjun says. His voice comes from behind you.
Has he been watching you? You stand and dust your bottom off, heart kicking to life. âItâs nice out here,â you say. In truth, you havenât come outside since that day. Youâve dodged Soobin and made a million excuses as to why you wonât go anywhere past the fences of your home. âI like to⊠watch people go about their days. Itâs interesting.â Itâs trueâyou always watch from afar how the village folk interact. How groups of girls your age link arms and whisper to each other, how neighbors come together to fix up a shoddy fence. You watch them be a community that you are not a part of. Watching it tastes bitter sometimes, but mostly you take pleasure in imagining yourself there with them. Youâre not sure why you try making small talk with him, but what else? Should you go running again? If you were to listen to your pattering heart, maybe thatâs what youâd do. Heâs hardly shown you any bad will, though, and heâs the one thatâs come to you. Maybe itâs silly to wait until something bad happens to be cautious.
A thousand pounds in stones sit at the center of your chest, though, and his voice makes them feel lighter. Why on earth that is, youâre not sure. Itâs a nice relief regardless.
He smiles. It's different from the ones he showed you before. Itâs knowing; more sweet than cracking over his face like the smile you would expect from the likes of him. What use might he have in being sweet? âCould I join you?â
Blinking dumbly at him for a second, you nod. âOh, uh⊠Yeah.â Settling back down into your spot, you spare him a few curious sideways glances.
The breeze billows over the gold stems, moving them like gentle waves over the ocean and blowing your hair in it too. The flattened bits rustle under his weight. He doesnât even turn his face toward the village; instantly, his gravitational eyes are on you.
âDo you come here often?â
âI do,â you answer. Mostly when you and Soobin have too much to do and not enough will to do it. âItâs nice. The village doesnât like me much, so itâs easier out here.â You donât mention that mostly you donât come here alone.
Yeonjunâs face becomes far away. It looks strikingly like somebody forced into an old, unpleasant memory. âDonât like you?â he asks, âWhat reason would they have for that?â
âThey fear me. Things go wrong around me, thatâs all.â You pluck at the hay absentmindedly. âThings die. Theyâre smart to stay away.â
The hay whispers much louder for the long moment he remains quiet, digesting what youâve said. Maybe deciding what to say, considering that itâs his fault.
âDie?â he asks, voice inflected with surprise.
Turning to him, your brow creases. Shouldnât he know? Heâs the one thatâs done it to you. âEverything that gets too close ends up dead. Everything,â you say, resting your temple on your knee. âSo, I guess, I just keep it all at armâs length.â You look back at your tiny village, a collection of familiar, un-familiar thatch-roof homes.Â
Continuing to blink at you, his eyes narrowed in a strange grimace, Yeonjun says, âDeath follows me, too.â
What? A laugh of disbelief bubbles up in your chest. Of course, death follows him. You cover your mouth with a hand to obscure your laugh, but you just giggle at him harder.
A laugh twitches at the corners of his mouth, too. âI mean it,â he says. The lines of his face become distant again, eyes both trained on your face and melancholic as if the sight reminds him of something.
It ignites a question in your mind about something he said in the forest. âYou said that I reminded you of somebody,â you say, testing the waters. âWho?â
A muscle feathers in his jaw. He looks away, as if he canât look at you while he says it. âI loved a girl from this village once. When I was human, no less than you.â
You falter, mouth falling open to ask all the questions that flurry through your thoughts. You settle on one. âYou were human?â
âI was,â he says ruefully. âAnd I had everything. I had the love of my life. I think that even the most bitter of creatures on this island had envy for our love. She would braid dandelions into my hair, and then Iâd braid them into hers.â He swallows thickly and pauses, as if the wound was still festering and fresh. âAnd then she died. She died starting our family. She died because of me, in my arms.â
You donât know what to say, so you just look into his shining eyes as if thatâll help. Youâre not very useful with people, much less comforting them.
âI couldnât accept that. I wouldnât. So I went where I shouldnât have gone, and angered something much bigger than myself. They thought it would be a fitting punishment for me to live an eternity, the King of Death who could not bring back his dead lover.â The harrowed look that he gives you, only briefly, has your chest heavy all over again. âThey have a sense of humor, the forces.â
You imagine what it wouldâve been like for him to lose his lover in that way. How far heâd gone to try and have her back, but death does not give back. Where had he gone to have been turned into this? An immortal thing, forced to roam the world and scoop up the souls of the living for an eternity? To be bound in ancient bones and made to remember forever how you had lost your lover?
The grandness of what you want to say is too big, but all those words feel pitying and patronizing in a way that you donât think will actually bring him any comfort. Rather, you doubt anything you say will be able to patch up a wound older than you could imagine. Simply, you offer him a raw, âIâm so sorry.â
Yeonjun lets a crooked smile replace the trembling at his lips. âAs long as I live, so too will she,â he says, placing his palm over his heart. âDeath doesnât so much happen when we leave behind our bodies, but when weâve left the minds of the living.â Narrowing his eyes at you, he brushes hair behind your ear with his knuckles. âI know she lives on, somewhere out there. Somewhere. Iâll find her.â
That intrigues you. âIs there some way that you could bring her back?â
The grim light in his eyes tells you his answer. âMy curse is to take life,â he says, ânot to give it. But the one who made me this, he is cruel in a twisted way. If I were to find her, as a human or an animal or a blade of grass in the forest, only then could I rest.â
It is cruel. âYouâve been searching, then,â you conclude. âWhen you find her, youâll both be able to rest.â But how could he find her, if as he says, she could be any living thing? Where would he even begin?
Slowly, he shakes his head, throat bobbing. âDeath needs a farrier.â
She would become what he is. You swallow thickly. Was it not him who caused the deaths that follow you? Or, at least, it was not on purpose?
Opening your mouth, you go to tell him that youâll help him look. Youâre sure youâll be of no help. Heâs spent an immortal lifetime searching, and he still hasnât found his dead lover. Nobody would know better than him where to look.
The ground shakes beneath your palms with impact, and something cuts through the wheat. The noise of its bleating becomes nearer until the both of you scramble up to find out whatâs in such distress.
A deer stumbles around wildly. It looks lame, but you donât see anything wrong with its legs. Your throat tightens at the awful sound, piercing and sad. Frozen, you watch it try to stay upright before it finally collapses down, legs still kicking as though it still wants to run but its body has begun weakening on it. âOh my god,â you say, stumbling back. The sounds; its sounds are awful, echoing in your bones and constricting your thoughts until theyâre a pinched panic.
Thereâs an arrow lodged into its ribcage, deep and at a terrible angle. You already know that itâs pierced some vital organs, if not its heart. It continues to writhe on the ground, not ready to give up. Youâre not sure if you should approach itâyou donât want to scare it, and you can tell by the look in its wet eyes that it already wants to be away from you.
Or, maybe it had come to you. How else had it found the two of you in the middle of this field?
Yeonjunâs already on it. He puts his knees into the dirt and dried wheat to kneel by it, running his hand over the beast's pelt in long strokes. The small buck flinches at first but relaxes once he learns that his touches are gentle, not the gnashing of hungry teeth ready to make him a meal.
Blood runs like lead through your veins. You say, âCan we help it?â
He shakes his head. âHeâll die.â
Whip-lashed, you swallow thickly. He says it so unphased, and youâre sure he is. You can hardly make yourself mirror that serenity that he exudes as he runs his hand over its flank, but you get on the ground beside him anyway.
The buckâs breaths slow to desperate drags for breath. For a few long minutes, the two of you sit in silence and stay with him until he no longer fights, until his breaths are ragged. You feel his side, still warm and alive, but you see the life going from his eyes. You sit here, talking to each other about nothing just so it hears gentle voices as it goes, for a while.
Eventually, heâs gone. Quiet and at peace, no longer hurting. This time, when you look over to Yeonjun who still smooths over the deerâs skin even as he goes, guiding him delicately into whatever greets us when we go, you see death as a gentle thing.
àŒș ê àŒ»
Though you never seek him out, Yeonjun always finds you. In hidden places, away from prying eyes, he appears behind you and makes himself known. Well, you have a feeling that he watches you for a while before saying anything. Itâs hard not to feel the strange tingling of his gaze over your form. Itâs akin to the sixth sense thatâs supposed to keep you safe out in the dark hearts of forests, an innate feeling that tells you some beast with a rotten, pale maw watches you between the trees.
Yeonjun doesnât feel rotten, though, preternatural and eerie as he is. As you shirk your duties and talk with him for hours, you stare into ancient eyes and watch his crooked mouth move around his words and you feel an odd comfort. As if heâs the only one whoâs ever understood you, or maybe that your strangeness pales beside him and for once youâre nothing but who you are. So many nights, the sun fell on your talking until the night insects buzzed from the grasses and your eyes were heavy.
Sometimes, as you dozed off with your back to a hay bale or a hardwood wall of the abandoned home beside yours with its sagging thatched roof, you caught such festering longing in his his eyes that youâd let your lashes fall and pretend to sleep so that you could imagine what it was that he longed for. No doubt his lost lover. When you imagine him, bound in bones and coming back to haunt the living for an eternity as he mourns her infinitely, searching for her in impossible places, your chest aches with a gnawing intensity.
Itâs a terrible, cursed existence. Even the nothingness of death becomes a paradise beside it.
âIs it scary?â you ask into the air, sat criss-crossed on the thick duvet of the bed. He sits across from you, looking perfectly lazy. Moonlight pools in like sterling mist through the shutters.
âWhat?â He watches you, sitting in your plain dress, as though youâre the only thing in the world.
Youâve begun to wonder. Wonder about those looks he gives you.
Shifting, you fix the shoulder of your soft chemise where itâs slipped down when you catch his eyes lingering on it. His throat bobs. âDying,â you elaborate. âIs it really nothing? After we go, all of it was for nothing?â
A slow smile tugs his full lips, made a bit red in the middle where he likes to worry it. Itâs such a human habit to see on something so far from human. âHardly,â he says. âItâs like going home, right where your soul is supposed to be. Who do you think rides with me?â
Furrowing your brows, you tilt your head toward one shoulder and let your hair pool there. âThe riders are dead?â You had thought they were undead in some way like Yeonjun, other sorts of revenants come back to life with their own purposes. Then, are their creepy horses dead, too? A chill goes down your arms. Sometimes, sitting here with him when his face is made soft by the orange glow of the fire he puts on, you forget what he is.
âThey are.â He nods, leaned back onto his elbows, his eyes alight with a hunger that makes your insides feel funny. âIt doesnât stop once weâve died. You donât need to be scared, my love. So many things end, but then so many things begin. The earth no longer holds you down, the weight of being is gone. You donât know anything like it; you donât know leaving behind the pleasures of earth to know the ones that only the afterlife can show you.â
His eyes laced with something entirely else, he adds, âAnd itâs not the end. Not for everything. For some itâs only the beginning, and for others, those who have not yet fulfilled their purpose, they come back to the flesh. They return.â
You canât tell if he means himself, or something else. The weight in his eyes, dark, endlessly swirling pools, makes you wonder again why it is that heâs lingering here: the place that he had not visited once since the death of his lover, for the fact that it still hurts too much. Why his shadow of death, his fault or not, was tangled in your soul enough to brush its fingers over the things around you.
âItâs scary,â you say, breathy. The thought of eternity.
Soft hairs brush over his eyes as he tilts his head at you. âDo I scare you?â
âNo.â
âNo?â he echos, pushing himself up so that he leans back onto his palms. âIsnât that strange? Pretty little thing says sheâs not afraid of death, but her heart races when Iâm near. Her sweet heart jumps at just the brush of my leg. Are you sure youâre telling me the truth, love?â
Your blood roars in your veins, inflaming your cheeks and making your head dizzy. Nobodyâs ever looked at you like that before. Hair prickles on your skin. âYes,â you breathe.
Feral delight sparks in his eyes, black as pitch. His smile turns up all feline at the crooked corners. âCrawl to me, then.â
Like how fire licks up oxygen in any room it is in, his words steal the breath right from your lungs. What does he think you are? You blink at him wide-eyed and dumb for a moment.
How can he say that as though it were nothing? Moreover, how does the ravenous flare in his eyes, his head tilted back as he watches you down his nose expectantly, do that to your belly?
Your mind glazes over with something thick and heady, and you damn the nerves in your belly and begin to crawl from your end of the bed to his. His tongue darts out to wet his lips, making sure you feel every inch of the taunt in his eyes as he trains them on you. When youâve gotten to him through the thickness in the air, you settle into his lap and bracket his waist with your thighs.
Yeonjun takes the soft fat of your hips in his fingers. âFuck,â he says. It sounds like heâs barely holding the gates on something endlessly consuming. Something that might break loose on the two of you, and leave you changed forever with its hungry, gnashing teeth. His head hits your collarbone. âTell me to stop. Please, tell me to go. Because I donât know how.â
âDonât,â you say. âDonât stop. I want it, Yeonjun. I want this.â
He straightens, pupils blown and eyes as tense as his set jaw. âNo, you donât understand what youâre asking for. All Iâve ever done is ruin. All Iâll ever do is ruin. I wonât ruin you; not again.â
That rings bells somewhere outside the heavy fog thatâs infiltrated your mind, but they donât sound too alarming when he looks as though he wants to drag his teeth over your heart to taste its beating. It doesnât touch the ground, when you want him to, so badly. So badly that you taste it on your tongue and it tinges your words as you tell him, âI do know what Iâm asking for. I want you. Yeonjun. Donât you want me too?â Voice and confidence wavering, you pull back. Maybe youâve read this all wrong. A tickling shame crawls over your skull. âDo you not want me?â
âYou think I donât want you?â he says, straightening up and meeting your gaze. His breath is hot on your mouth. âI want you so fucking bad. You are in the marrow of my bones. Fuck, I have done nothing but want you, but I am foul. I will only hurt you.â
He takes your hand and places it over his chest, where a heart should be. Beneath your palm, you do not feel the thumping of an alive thing. Yeonjun has no heart. You knit your brows and examine the strain of his features. Does he think that youâll be disgusted? Maybe the girl you were in that forest mightâve been, but being near Yeonjun has changed you in ways you couldnât start to put your finger on. âIâm asking you to,â you say. âShow me what you want to do to me. What youâve wanted to do to me.â
Searing silence burns between you as he drinks that in, and then he shoves you onto your back. Supporting himself with an arm beside your head, he curls his fingers into your hip and nudges your thighs wider. He doesnât lift the hem of your chemise like you expect him to. NoâYeonjun begins to grind himself into your cunt through all the layers of your clothes. Though your dress is bunched up and his pants lay between any real contact, Yeonjunâs hard and that friction tastes fleetingly sweet.
âI want you to beg me for it,â he says, grinning down at you with cruel intention. âBeg me, and make it so pretty.â
You let little sounds linger in that back of your throat and become hungrier each time he grinds against you. Itâs so much, mind swimming and sparks spraying up your spine, and yet each time it is not near enough. Damn that foxish smile on his face; you beg for him anyway. âYeonjun,â you breathe, curling your fingers around the wrist of that hand with which he pins your hip. âPâŠlease, will you help me? It feels so good; I want more, please.â
He raises his eyebrows at you and an eager grind comes right over your throbbing clit.Â
You know he wants more than that, but mortification already is making your voice unsteady and your cheeks burn. âYeonjun,â you huff, hips wiggling.
The king of the undead delights fully in your shame and rewards you with more of those pointed, dry grinds. Your legs tremble; heâs giving you so little, and yet your need takes it and magnifies it into something grand.
Though he pretends heâs on some high ground, you hear his shuddering breaths each time his fucks his hips against you. He feels that roiling, liquid need in his belly just as vehemently as you do. The room fills with your breathy pants and grinding bodies. You catch your lip in your teeth and begin to meet him half-way. Your moans are low and sweet, and each one sends his jaw tighter.Â
You twist and grind against each other like fumbling teens until youâre coiled up so tight that he has to pull himself away. Your throbbing cunt protests, but you know he doesnât want you cumming like this.
âYou want me to show you what Iâve wanted to do to you?â he says, working at his pants. His eyes are so drunk on you, and his cheeks betray his state. âOpen your legs, my love. Let me show you a little death.â
Throat gone dry, you slowly let your thighs fall open. The dull throbbing between your thighs roars to life. He slides your skirt up your leg, stopping when he frees your knee to pepper a few hot kisses into it. Once heâs got it bunched up at your ribcage, he runs his tongue over his dry lips to wet them. âFuck. Such a pretty pussy. I want to fucking eat you up.â
âYeonjun,â you whine. His name is all you can muster out, anticipation sharpened to a knife point.
Flashing his teeth, he purrs, âYou like that, you filthy thing. I bet youâd like for me to fuck you till your brainâs gone and all thatâs left is my name. Isnât that right? Is that what you want?â
Your thoughts stall and you nod, making your mouth into a filthy pout. God, how you want that. Maybe heâs right about you being filthy. Coming from him, it sounds like a delicious thing to be.
The pretty, leaking tip of his cock brushes your clit as he slides it up and down your slit to collect the mess there. Your thighs jump to close before your mind gets the better of it. He does this a few timesâup and down, letting you feel and get used to the size and length of him all the way till his cockhead kisses your clit and you squeak.
âAre you comfortable, love?â he asks, shifting your hips with strong hands. âDo you need anything from me?â
Itâs so at odds with his other, nastier words. Your head spins, the moonlight blurring. âIâm okay,â you tell him. âI⊠just want you. Want you to put it in, want to feel you.â
His cock catches on your hole, and he begins to push forward with promising pressure. But then he pulls back, smiling downturned. You whine; why canât he save his capriciousness for later? Youâd almost had itâŠ
âI could give it to you, or I could notâŠâ He hums. âWouldnât that be so cruel of me? To leave you wanting?â
You flutter around nothing. Every inch of your body buzzes. Alive. You are more alive now, at the promise of Deathâs touch, than ever before. The irony might be something to wonder about if you werenât dribbling down onto the bed sheets with crude need. âStop it,â you say. Your voice is whiny. Youâre glad you can hardly hear yourself past the pounding in your bloodstream.
That delights the King of Death. He wrinkles his nose at you, burning you alive with his eyes as he presses his palm to your belly and guides himself into you with his free hand. You wrap around each inch of him slowly. The air between you bows under the weight of your gazes; he holds your eyes the whole way, inch by inch until heâs seated fully into you with his groin flush to your body. He stretches you to fit, and yet itâs just right. You could ask for no more or no less; you might even think your body was made for him, were you not too busy circling your hips to feel him.
âGood?â he says, squeezing your hip. âDo you need a moment?â
Pursing your lips, you test out the shape of him with another wiggle. âMaybe⊠Maybe a second.â Truth be told, you need a moment to grapple with the sparks sprinkling over your mind more than you need a moment to adjust to his stretch. You let out a shuddering breath.
He traces circles into your belly, just beneath your navel. The pad of his thumb goes round and round, warm on your flesh. âAs long as you need,â he says, but itâs more like a triumphant, playful coo. Thereâs that lopsided smirk. One day, youâd like to kiss it off him. Taking that hypnotizing finger, Yeonjun trails it up your stomach, over your ribcage. He hooks it beneath your dress and drags it higher, revealing the soft swells of your breasts to the air. You shudder, body so, so hot that your nipples peak and tighten against the cool air.
âSuch pretty tits,â he says, brushing his knuckle up the underside of one. âEverything about you. Such a pretty, pretty body. God, I donât know if I want to worship it or ruin it.â His breaths fan over your skin as he bends down and pops an eager nipple into his mouth, lavishing it before releasing it with a lewd pop and letting his mouth fall all over your breast. Lick here, nip there, until youâre squirming adequately and squeezing him like a virgin. Then he blows cool air over it and watches with eyes like a cat toying with its prey as you shudder harder, your chest jumping. âFucking look at you,â he sneers.
âJunnie,â you say, lost for breath. You think youâve walked yourself into the lionâs den.
His breathy laughs fall over your breast. Taking his teeth, he drags them over your skin, right over where your heart thunders a rhythm fully for him, and then he bites. Nothing more than a shallow mark, the shape of his teeth in your soft tit. He lingers there, admiring the sight before he straightens himself up again.
âFine.â He pulls out of you slowly, but you know what comes after that, so you savor every second of it. âI suppose youâve wanted after it long enough. Let me hear your sweet voice again, my love.â
Yeonjun fucks you just right. His cock nudges right up on your sweet spot as if heâs done this before. Like he knows where to find it. You gasp and whineâyouâre just happy heâs finally giving you something.Â
âOh, fuck,â you mewl. His shoulders wear the red crescent marks of your nails. âThatâsâso good right there.â
Ever egotistical and cocky, he croons, âYeah?â Rolling himself back, he makes it his mission to hit it ruthlessly.
A sharp, pitchy sound comes tumbling past your lips. You bring your hand up over your mouth, letting your eyelids dust your burning cheeks so that you can brave the flipping in your spine and deep in your belly. Itâs nearly insufferableâthe way pleasure licks up your spine, how it spreads out into your veins and takes control of you.
âNo,â Yeonjun growls. âDonât you dare close your eyes. Let me see that look in your eyes when you cum.â
Your eyes are heavier than theyâve ever been, but you open them. The sight that greets you is worth the effort. Yeonjunâs lip twitches and then he throws his head back, the column of his neck on display as his Adam's apple jumps around a thick swallow.
If that sight wasnât enough to send you teetering down into whatever depths of lust and ecstasy that he crawled out from, then the angle he hits as he pushes one of your thighs to your chest is. The world frays, deep tremors starting at one small point in your cunt and then exploding up through your stomach and down the back of your thighs. Your chest arches off the bed and you mewl helplessly, fighting and embracing your orgasm in an intoxicating death.
âOh, fuck,â Yeonjun growls, strained with something whinier as he watches you shake beneath him. âFuck. Iâm gonnaâfuck, Iâm gonna cumâŠâ His voice chokes as his hips become stuttered more than pointed, the slick sounds of your own release tangling up with his grunts and pants until he shudders and stills, cumming into your puffy, fluttering cunt.
You both catch your breaths as if thereâs no air in the room left for a while. His hairâs damp on his forehead, as is yours on your neck, and his eyes droop lazily. More lazy and content than youâve ever seen him.
Collecting you to his chest, where only your heart thumps away frantically, he presses his mouth to your ear and says, âDo you think death is so scary now?â
With your limbs nothing more than boneless and liquid pleasure floating slowly through your thoughts, you smile.
A little death can be more visceral than living, you think.
àŒș ê àŒ»
The tree stump beneath you makes your tailbone ache. You sit criss-crossed, watching Soobin work away at the soil and tend to that section of the fence thatâs begun to rot and sag. Your mouth moves endlessly, filling the space that would otherwise just be made up of his grunts of hard work.
âYou know, you ought to help me if youâre just going to sit and watch,â he says, straightening to swipe at his forehead, sweaty despite the cold in the air.
âTotally improper,â you say, smiling at him cheekily. âAre you saying that you canât handle yourself, strong man?â
He glares at you with the venom only somebody made to put up with hours of chatter could muster. âWhatâs got you so talkative?â he says.
You know he means why youâre suddenly not glaring him away. You canât tell him that youâve spoken with Death himself, so instead you say, âNothing.â Letting your legs dangle down, you smile at him.
Yeonjun hadnât done any of it. Itâs a comfort, to some degrees, to know that. Itâs not your fault that they died. Being around them, being around Soobin, wonât make them turn up dead. The rest of them still donât know thatâand they wouldnât believe it, anywayâbut the black shadow hanging over your shoulders dissipates.
For the first time in so, so long, you do not feel marked by death.
âSure.â His smile tilts. âA week ago, you wouldnât even look at me.â
Rolling your eyes, you decide to give him a hard time. âNot true. You just have a way of getting on my nerves.â
âI take pride in that.â
âTake pride in what? Being insufferable?â
Crinkling his nose, he says, âKnowing how to bother you best.â
âGet back to work, stupid.â Your heart soars. Itâs good to have friends. To let yourself have friends is an ever better thing. Is this how it is? To be with others and not feel like their burden, or like theyâre crossing their fingers behind their back to ward off whatever bad things you might bring onto them? Heâs made it his mission to hover around you no matter what, but this feels different.
Maybe, for so long, part of it has been your own gloom thatâs obscured it all. Maybe if you didnât bare your teeth to anybody who got too close, it couldâve been like this always. You hate to think that your own isolation could be some part your own fault. But how were you not to show your teeth when someone tried to reach their hand out to you?
It doesnât matter now. You shove that all down and let yourself feel the slight warmth of the sunâs glow on your skin where it peeks through the clouds. Itâs a nice day, you shouldnât ruin it with those thoughts.
The sunâs begun making its descent when Soobinâs done. He takes a long drink of water, hissing with relief and crumpling down to the ground with his back to your stump.
âAre you making any way with that girl you were talking to me about?â you prompt.
Giving you a long look over his shoulder, he says, âDonât.â
âWhat?â You laugh a little, raising your brows down at him. âIâm not doing anything.â
âYou know what youâre doing,â he says, voice flat as he picks stickers out of his fingers.
Soobinâs had a thousand different crushes. There was that daughter of the shepherd, and then the wealthy merchantâs daughter and her long pretty hair, and then the neighbor⊠Well, you could go on. None of them ever really came to fruition for the poor guy. He thinks that itâs because heâs a poor farmerâs son, but you always tell him that itâs because heâs got an insistent mouth, and that he should be more grateful that you deal with him. Your lips turn up at the corners a little thinking about itâheâll find the one eventually, but you like the indignant look on his face when you say it.
âI mean it!â you say, nudging him with your leg. âTell me. I want to know.â
âYou wonât even tell me whatâs happening with you. Until one of us quits keeping secrets,â he says, placing accusation heavy over the words, âIâll keep my dealings to myself. Whatâs it to you, anyway?â
Feeling the weight of his head as he lets it loll lazily against your thigh, you decide that it couldnât hurt to tell him. The itch to tell somebody crawls under your skin. Especially to tell him. âYou know the other day? When I was⊠being awful?â
His body shakes with a vindicated laugh. âIf youâre nothing else, at least youâre self-aware.â
You skirt around that with your own, more awkward, laugh. Itâs nice that he thinks so, but you donât feel it. âStop,â you huff and nudge him again. âI was foraging out where I usually go. But I guess I wandered out farther than I thought I did. You remember when they used to tell us stories, right? Like the bogeyman. That heâd come snatch us up if we didnât listen.â Your mom especially had loved that one, back when she cared what became of you. Would she care again, if you told her that everything was fine? âWell, I donât know if you remember the one about The Wild Hunt, but⊠Anyway, I was picking some stuff, andâŠâ
Sitting up from his exhausted slouch, Soobin looks like heâs suddenly come back to life. âWhat?â he interrupts. His voice is strangely serious.
âWhat?â you say, brow creasing. âThey travel here and there⊠but they were here. In the woods. Like, I heard them.â
Tersely, he asks, âWhat were you doing that deep in the woods?â
âI mean, I just kept on finding nice stuff until I just⊠was deeper.â You survey him. You hadnât thought that heâd react like this. âSo I ran, and then there was this guy,â you say, watching realization fall over his face. He knew those stories as much as you doâknew where you were going with this. He is as starkly superstitious as the rest of your people, you forgot. Pushing past the grimace on his face, you say, âAnd I knew that he was the king. The one from the stories. It was so weird; itâs like you can feel it. And I spoke to him, and thenâŠâ
Stood up now, he cuts you off once more. âAre you kidding?â
âWhy are you being like that?â you say, messing with your skirts to quell the defensive bite in your tone. âI didnât do anything.â
âYou didnât do anything? Are you trying to get killed?â He throws up his hard-working hands. âWe have rules for a reason. Donât go out into the forest, donât make deals with faeries, donât follow a banshee scream. And then you go and talk to the king of death? How am I not supposed to be upset about that? You know thatâŠâ Soobin blinks a few times as if second-guessing what heâs about to say, but he says it anyway. âYou know that heâs the reason that they treat you how they do. You know that heâs the one who ruined your life. Why would you ever mess with that?â
You push yourself up from the ground, eyes burning. That stings like a cut. âHe didnât do it. None of it is his fault,â you say, furrowing your brows. âWhat are you trying to say, Soobin? Just say what you want to say. Come on.â
âHe didnât do anything?â He scoffs, letting a heavy silence hang suspended in the air for a moment before saying, âIs that what he told you? And you just believed it? Listen to yourself, does that make any sense? Heâs played with your life like itâs some fucking toy, and now heâs come to rub it in your face. Think about it: do animals just fly into anybody elseâs windows and die? Do the trees that they pick from just end up dead? Itâs his fault that they all treat you the way you do.â
Mouth opening and closing, you donât know what to say.Â
He sees the hurt in your burning eyes and tries to reel it back in. âWhat Iâm trying to say isââ
âI know what youâre saying,â you say, grabbing up the lunch youâve been nibbling on. âI know exactly what youâre saying. I just never thought youâd say it out loud.â
âSay what?â Soobin says, his voice raising behind you as you storm off.
That you think itâs my fault, you want to say. That they all die because I am a plague, and you are a charity worker for being my friend. Instead, you just leave and try to choke down the tightness in your throat.

You curl your arms around yourself, the night biting cold. Yeonjun had dragged you from bed, and who knows what hour of the night it is? If the heaviness beneath your eyes is to judge it by, itâs far too deep in the dead of night to be outside with your boots half-laced and nothing but your sleep chemise on.
You mightâve just stayed wrapped up in your blankets if you werenât so lonely as youâve been. Soobinâs been scarce. The most you see of him is in the fields from morning to afternoons. You hope that heâll stop by your doorstep and knock so that you can groan about it but swing the door open anyway each time, but he doesnât. He thinks that you wonât want to see him, and so he allows you your space.
That couldnât be further from the truth. Itâs hard to be the one to come back after a conversation like that, though. You watch him from the windows and hope he understands at some point instead. Itâs an awful lot easier.
Other than preparing meals and window watching, youâve been up to nothing much at all. You hadnât realized how much you had, but you feel him in his absence.Â
âItâs coldâŠâ you say. The fog of breath that punctuates it makes your point. Whatever heâs brought you out here for, you have no doubt itâll be something strange. The grin on his face tells you as much.
Leading the way, he heads for the Darkwood. âOnly you would come rushing out without a cloak for your shoulders.â
âWell, only you would drag me from my nice, warm bed at this time of night. For what?â
âCanât anything be a surprise with you?â he says, shooting you a cheeky glance over his shoulder. âSurprises are fun.â
âSurprises!â you say, working your legs to catch him. âNot surprises that involve you bringing me out into the woods. You know, itâs awfully suspicious. Somebody who sees this might think that I am the type to⊠sneak out with men.â
âArenât you now?â
Your lips tug down. âYou know what I mean.â
He laughs in his airy way, a twig snapping under his foot. Youâre well in the woods, now. Probably somewhere near where youâd first met him.
Lifting a brow, you look at him expectantly. Maybe a will-oâ-the-wisp will come floating through with its light bouncing off the trees. That would be a nice surprise, you admit.
Yeonjun circles you. His presence behind you tingles in the way it always does, but true chills erupt when his breath puffs against your ear. âClose your eyes. I have something I want to show you.â
Your mind wanders back to what Soobin had gotten so twisted up about. It might be naive and reckless and against everything you ever learned, but you let your eyes fall shut to blackness. If he was going to hurt you, you imagine heâd have had that opportunity a mind-numbing amount of times before.
âAre they shut?â he asks, waiting for your nod. His voice comes from in front of you now. âI want you to keep them shut. You canât open your eyes, or it will all go away. Okay?â
âOkay,â you breathe, mind full of a bounty of questions. You donât even know where to begin to assume what heâs got going on, so you stand there shifting your antsy feet.
Thereâs a strange, rustling sound that catches you off guard with your eyes closed. It drags on for a long moment. Curiosity pries at your eyes; you want nothing more than to just crack an eye open to spy the source of the ruckus.Â
Itâll be gone if you do, anyway.
You let out a surprised squeak as something rises up beneath you, as if risen from nothing more than the dirt and roots of the forest floor, bringing you up from the earth. You wobble and send your hands out to find a perch.
A horse. Itâs a horse, its mane so tangled and windswept, but matted and clumped with leaves that crunch under your palm when you find them. It reeks of mudâeverything around you begins to smell of earth and decomposition.
You know that if you open your eyes, youâll find yourself sat upon the pale white steed of the Undead King, its eyes white and its knobby knees almost as famous as the leader of The Hunt himself. It chuffs beneath you.
âAre you ready?â Yeonjun says over your shoulder. You can hear the feral grin in his voice. Itâs the leader of The Hunt, a creature of folklore, that sits behind you now. He curls an arm around your waist and tugs you closer to him, securing you against the wall of his chest. âHold on tight, my love.â
The call of the wild, that horn, bellows again like it had the first time you heard it. Rather than coming from nearby as you thought it would, it dances between trees far off just like it had that time, too. Your heart jumps up into your throat.
Taking off with a howl, the Wild Hunt follows it.
You dig your fingers into Yeonjunâs at your waist. Weight melts away, and you know youâre in the air. Your belly swoops in tandem with the howls and hoots of the riders, heart palpitating to the hoofbeats. How thereâs hoofbeats as you ride through the air, youâre not sure. The ghostly fleet manifests around you in vivid imagery, though you squeeze your eyes shut. They are wild enough to imagine just what they might look like: with their clothes and flesh in tatters, with their eyes beady or pale, with their hounds piercing the air with their calls and running alongside them, they are a perfect personification of freedom.
Whip-lash sends you reeling, body going rigid. You grit your teeth and squeeze your eyes harder, wishing that youâll touch ground soon and that everything would become real again.
Yeonjun feels you go stiff. Bringing his head back to your shoulder from his own delight, he says, âItâs okay. Youâre okay. Let it into your bones. Do you think I would let it hurt you?â
He is their leader. If it got too much, you know Yeonjun would be there to catch you. Curling your fingers into his, you release that tension and allow their drumbeat to echo through you.
And when it does, your blood begins to sing along. The wind whips your cheeks and your hair, and you begin to laugh with them. The Hunt twists and turns and dances through the air, an apparition in the night, but nothing more than that.
It comes to a slow, eventually, until the noise and even your steed crumbles back down into the dirt it appeared from. Your eyes pop open hoping to catch at least a glimpse of them, but only the dark forest and pale moonlight answer. Your legs threaten to give out on you, veins still thrumming, but, oh, do you feel alive.
You feel more alive than you ever have, more than you ever could have hoped to have known. Mind spinning, you stumble. Yeonjun catches and steadies you before you can go scraping your knees on a rock.
âOh my fucking god,â you say.
The laugh that Yeonjun breaks into has you sending him a glare, but you break too. Everything about him is ironic; and how ironic indeed that Death himself should show you how to be alive, rather than to just live?

The air is so fresh in your lungs when you step outside that it nearly burns. You clutch your basket of warm fig tarts. Songbirds trill and fly between tree tops that slowly become more bare the deeper you fall into the season, singing their sweet songs that sound like new beginnings.
Raising your hem from the ground churned up into mud from the afternoonâs trickle, you prance into town with a lively pep in your step. You spent all last night making theseâYeonjun had kept you company, watching you how he always does as you pored over making them just right. His cruel snicker when the jam had simmered over flame for too long and became too thick bounces off your bones in a sweet melody. Youâve come to adore his wicked delight, the way his smile cracks over his face and the facetious raise of his brows, more than you fear it.
Sending small smiles to the people that you pass, you stop by a huddle of kids digging sticks into the mud. They look up at you with curious eyes, stopping to gawk.
âHey, guys,â you say, pulling back the cloth laid over the sweets. âIâve made some fig tarts. Do you like fig? I bet youâll like them; theyâre sweet.â
The kids stand up, eyes big as they share a look. They donât let out so much as a peep before they scurry off home.
You blink. Well, youâre used to weird reactions, but that was⊠different. Picking up your deflated shoulders and hesitant limbs, you make a shoddy attempt at not letting it dampen your good morning. You were expecting wary looks, anyway.
You head down a little further toward the far side of your home village, the side that breaks off after a fenceline into a great, grassy field. Thereâs a bustle, mothers washing their clothes in pails and hanging them up to dry and a few others whispering at each other lowly as they go about their days.
An old woman so old her back curves and her fingers have gone knobby makes her way to wherever the dayâs duty demands her to be. Your neighborâan eccentric old lady bound in her times. You decide on her: the elderly are forgotten by the young. She might enjoy knowing that her neighbors still know she exists.
âHello,â you say, showing her your basket with a hopeful, excited heart. âI have some treats that I was wanting to give out. I know they might not be much, but would you like one? Iâm not the best baker, but I do it often enough.â A face like that, dragged down by her years on this earth and not long to death, has no doubt spent many years making meals for her family. You imagine your goods would be nothing beside hers, but itâs the gesture, no?
âOh, girl,â she says, voice crackling as she clutches her shawl tighter around her shoulders. âIâm afraid itâs best if you found yourself missing from this place. Hurry yourself up and spare the drama.â
The incessant cawing of a crow from a clawed tree fades into the background as you furrow your brows and lower your basket to ask, â...Huh?â Your belly goes up in knots; terrible knots done up tight and fast. You havenât got a clue what sheâs talking about. Elders always did speak a bit strange, though. It could be nothing much; sheâs a stern old lady.
But her eyes are not angry and glaring in the way that a harrowed old hag might turn her nose up at the youth. They drag down with a cold pity.
âListen to me, girl.â She points at you with one of those worn, sun-spotted hands. âYou had best leave. The boyâs gone, and they are already not fond of you. Who will they point their fingers to?â the woman says. âI hardly know you, but I would hate to see it.â
The rest of her words fade into the roaring in your ears, the feral drumbeat of your heart like a wardrum in the cage of your ribs as it beats against them as if to escape from you. You donât feel the basket in your hands, donât feel the solidity of the earth beneath your feet, and donât feel a single one of your thoughts like tangible things. They flit as if liquidated into a rotten, sick mush.
Nothing. You can think of nothing. Nothing real; nothing holding you to the earth.
âWhat?â Your voice hardly reaches your ears, but what does is weak and broken and like a plea for her to tell you that itâs not really what you think it is.
And if you could see or hear anything beyond your fraying little rift in reality, you wouldâve heard the man coming up to you. You wouldâve heard the words coming from his angry, sneering mouth, and wouldâve done something when he picked up a pail of water, and you wouldâve been shaken by the nasty ice water that runs down your frozen body and plasters your hair and clothes down as he pours it over you. But none of it cuts through your stupor.
He yells some awful, stabbing things at you, and a few others join him. They tell you that you are nothing but a plague, tell you to leave and to not come back here.
But this is your home. Where else would you go?
With your sopping wet dress clutched in your shaking fists as though that might keep you grounded, you choke down the tightening of your throat and sift through their faces, searching for his face. Those brown eyes, brown and always shining with nagging playfulness, do not come up anywhere. Jaw trembling, you search harder. Out on the field where he should be at this time of day, at your doorstep demanding that you go spend the day doing nothing with him, in someoneâs yard helping them fix up a broken fence, no matter where you look, neither his broad silhouette nor his cheeky, dimpled face is there. You continue to stand stricken dumb, looking for him even though you know by the churning in your belly that itâs true, and youâre just hurting yourself trying to find him right where he should be.
Fine. Alive. Untouched by your disgusting, destructive presence.
When you can no longer fight the strangling tightness in your lungs and your dress is as heavy as your heart, you take off. The hem of your dress drags in mud and sticker bushes and catches on stray twigs, and you donât know where youâre going, but you just run. Youâll give them what they want.Â
You stumble, probably like some lost, undead thing, until you find yourself at the edge of the forest. Only then do you let the wall of whittle-edged tears roll down your face. And you assume you sound like a choking, dying animal with how you choke and heave on them, but he was the one you mightâve dropped your head and cried to, so whatâs the use of making it pretty? No; you let it all fall as it is.
Soobinâs dead. Soobinâs dead, and itâs nobody elseâs but your own fault. You clutch your chest to staunch that old ache thatâs grown teeth and tears at your heart; you have and will always be the end of everything that comes near. You are just as much the plague that you began to pretend, to believe, you werenât. It was your stupid hope that maybe you could have something and not watch it become carrion that drove that pick. It was by your hope that heâs gone.
The hair on your arms begins to raise. You pick your head up and find Yeonjun standing in front of you.
Thereâs a few beats of long, dreadful quiet as he takes in the state of you. He drags his eyes down and they become liquid flameâsomething different from the impious delight that he is made of. He becomes the King of Death.
âWhat happened?â he says. The chills on your arms prickle furiously at the words, furling out distant and yet furious like the center of the fire.
You shake your head, wiping your soaked cheek.
âWhat the fuck happened?â he growls again, taking your face into his hand. âWho did this? Who did this to you, my love? I need you to tell me who the fuck did this to you.â
Letting the venom in your mouth out, you shove his chest and say, âGet away from me. Donât fucking touch me.â
Yeonjunâs face twists up, looking scalded. Not surprised, though. âDonât do this,â he says. âLet me hold you while it hurts. Donât push me away. I canât⊠I wonât lose you again.â
All the pieces that you had been putting into the corners of your mind snap together at that. As many suspicions as you had, though, it feels sour hearing it confirmed from his mouth. That you are his dead past lover, reincarnated or whatever you are. That it was his presenceâbecause even though he stayed away for centuries, a part of him still lingered with youâthat now has torn down everything you ever thought you could love. He, standing there in front of you like a kicked puppy, is the ruination of your life in the flesh. The flipping of your stomach is nauseating.
âI hate you,â you spit. âI hate you so much.â You repeat it a few more times, and you sob it into his chest as he takes you into his arms. âIs this what you wanted? Youâve been waiting for this forever, havenât you? To find me again, so that you can die and fucking leave me here. So that you can make me exactly what you are, while you get your peace. You are a liar and a thief. All youâve ever done is steal and take. How could you do it? Huh? Tell meâŠâ Your voice trembles and staggers off. âTell me how you made love to me, how you made me believe that you loved me, and all you ever wanted was to save yourself? You betrayed me.â
Pulling back, Yeonjun says, âNo.â
âYes,â you say, stumbling back away from him with a shaking, accusatory finger pointed at him. âYes you did.â
Fingers itching to reach out to you, he holds them back by curling them into fists. âNo. Thatâs not fair. I have spent an eternity loving you. I spent the entirety of my immortal, monstrous life searching for you, just so that I might find you in any form. I would have been glad to find you as a leaf in a tree, as long as I found you. But, then, I find you alive. Alive and back, as if⊠it never happened.â He steps toward you, aching to be near you. His voice wavers. âPlease, donât do this to me, love. Please, just let me have you again. Iâve waited⊠Iâve waited and Iâve waited, and I finally have you, and now youâre looking at me like I⊠Like Iâd ever hurt you. Finding deathâfinally getting to die would be worth nothing if you werenât there with me. It was never about that.â
âI could never love you,â you say, matching his steps forward with steps away from him. âI could never love a monster that does⊠Does nothing but kill. Take.â  You know your words are cruel, but you need them to be. You need him to hurt, you need him to go so far away from you that never again will you cause another living thingâs death.Â
âYou did.â Yeonjunâs mouth cracks into a pained smile, sharp at the corners. âYou loved me just as much as I love you, once.â
âJust leave me. Leave me, and I wish to never see you again. If you love me, then youâll give me that.âÂ
He looks at you, clever eyes intense and glassy, for a long time. And then he says, âWould that make you happy? Would it make it so that you could live a happy life, and find yourself something to live for?â
Whatâs left for you? A small village that wonât ever embrace you? No, it wouldnât fix your life. But you open your mouth and tell him, âYes.â
âOkay,â he says, brushing his knuckles over your cheeks reverently. He swallows in your features, running over them for what he knows is the last time heâll be seeing youâthe very last time heâll see the face of his undying love. When he finally opens his mouth again, his voice is gentle. âIâll leave you. If my being here hurts you, then I wonât be selfish. I love you, darling.â
Donât go, you want to tell him. Please donât leave. Please, hold me. But your mouth is dry, and you let the radiant hurt in your chest stop you. You let him go.

Thereâs only one place you can think of going to. Itâs the only place your vagrant feet take you.
His spot still is held sacred by the flattened, gold wheat stalks. Your best friend, still living here on Earth in at least one way even if heâs not here to listen to your stupid rambling. And he would maybe complain, but heâd always listen.
The last thing youâd done was fight with him. What an awful thingâwhat an awful way to repay him for being the only one who ever dared to get close.
You sit in your spot, beside his, and rest your chin on your knees. If only the ground beneath you would open up and swallow you whole. Youâd deserve it.
Whatâs left for you? Is there a place in the world that would keep you happily once they see what you do? No. There is not. You wish you knew what to do; you wish you had somebody to ask.
Releasing a long, tight breath, you just sit and wait for something to give you answers. A gentle breeze makes your hair dance, but it does not whisper anything to your ears. Somethingâs circling over head, but it doesnât caw in the cadence of his laughter.
The day moves along without you. Youâre not sure how long you sit, but it stretches somewhere between a few minutes and eternity. No matter how long you wait, there are no answers. No matter how long you mull over it.
Conceding, you begin to push yourself up from the ground. A rustle in between the foliage stops you before you stand.
A tawny hare leaps out in front of you. It sniffs around you, nose twitching. Then it stands back on its haunches. It stares straight at you, an intelligent light in its eyes that knits your brows. The wild thing stands there with a purpose that is uncharacteristic of a forest animal.
But entirely familiar in the face of your best friend. That shine in its eyes as it stands there, nose still twitching, makes your chest tighten up.
âHey,â you say, as if it might answer you. Your eyes well up with hot tears again. Of course, it doesnât.Â
Maybe youâve gone mad, but you know that itâs him. That idiot, coming to show you that heâs okay in the afterlifeâto visit one last time and to let you know that you shouldnât worry for him or cry for him. Look at me, full of life once again, he seems to say. The hare blinks its beady eyes. It lingers there for a long time, the ease of peace found in his gaze that Soobin hadnât had in this life, saying that there is still something waiting out there for us once we go. You reach out a hand. He does not flinch as you scratch behind his ear.
âOkay,â you whisper. âIâm glad to know youâre alright. I know what I need to do, now.â
He blinks.
You laugh a hoarse, breathy laugh, familiar in only the way that Soobin could achieve. âYou look stupid.â
Indignantly, the hare stomps a bratty foot in a way reminiscent of one of Soobinâs huffs before it settles back down onto its forelegs and scurries off. He goes to live out this new form of life, because itâs true: life does not end in death. Heâs shown you that.
Maybe, like this, heâll find that pretty lady that loves him the way he deserves. That loser.

You spend only one night in your home and you know that what youâve chosen is right. After spending your day out in the field, you sneak under nightâs cover into your husk of a room and let yourself sleep there under the covers one last time. When morning breaks through the window, you gather your weary bones up and leave.Â
You run into your mother on the way out. She doesnât yell at you to leave, but her eyes have gone cold. Colder than youâre used to. Youâve killed again, in every way that counts. So you donât bother with bidding her or any of them any grand goodbyes. You couldnât handle the relief you might find falling over them, should you.
Plopping down to the floor, you take a few bites of the cheese and bread lathered in sweet jam that youâd swiped from the kitchen. The grass is long and willows in the wind, bending and dancing prettily. Itâs so soft; you enjoy the feeling of it beneath your fingers in your quiet serenity. The scent of it, fresh over the baseness of dirt, you breathe into your lungs.
It would be the loveliest place to spend the rest of eternity.
For the first time, Yeonjun appears in front of you rather than behind you. He materializes from nothing, his elbow on his knee as casual as if heâd been sat there the whole time. The darkness beneath his eyes seems heavier, but then again you know that exact heaviness. It sits right in the very center of you.
You both are quiet for a bit. You let the tall grass whisper, instead.
âBread?â you say and slant your lips into a smile. Bringing it up, you offer it to him.
His smile wrinkles his nose and curls at the edges. Entirely him. Yeonjun accepts the bread, ripping a bite out before throwing it away into the sea of green. Once heâs chewed, he leans in and captures your lips in a kiss thatâs utterly at odds with his sharp mouth. Your lips move over each other gently, save for an indulgent nip or bite here and there.
He pushes you back into a bed of sweetgrass, never letting your lips go. Not to breathe, not to say something thatâll pale in comparison to the sweetness of your mouths on one another. He kisses you until heâs had enough to fulfill a lifetime without it, and then some more.
âMy love,â he whispers into your skin, his breath hot on your collarbone. âMine,â he says, pressing a kiss into the column of your neck, and then he says it again with a hot kiss to the place where your dress suggests your breasts. He says it a handful more times as he pushes your skirts up your thighs. âMy love forever. I waited for you so long, and I would do it again.â Lowering his voice to a honeyed whisper, he adds, âI would find you no matter what.â
Laughing softly, you run your fingers through his raven hair to better see his eyes. You know he would.
Gently giving you one more of his lingering kisses that make your skin tingle, right into your bare shoulder, he presses into you. You loose a soft breath, wrapping your arms around his shoulders. The beating in your chest slows to a content purr as he begins languid thrusts in and out of you, rolling pointedly and unhurried.
Yeonjun makes love to you in a thousand dusted kisses and sweet words, your hands holding each otherâs soft edges. Yeonjun traces the lines of you, taking the pads of his thumb down your cheeks and your lips and then his hand over the swell of your breasts and down your belly and over your thighs. Clamping down on him as your belly grows tight in the way it had the first time you had done this, your thighs begin to shake.
Breathlessly, as you hurdle over the edge, all that you can say is, âI love you, âJunnie.âÂ
Yeonjun smiles at you and then presses his face into your neck. He doesnât even brace himself against the grass to chase his own peak. Neither of you want this to end; you want to hold on to this moment and let it span forever. Slowly, Yeonjun rolls up into you until his hips finally stutter and he cums into you, his cheeks pink. The weight of him above you as he shakes with your shared ecstasy, and even as you both have come down and are nothing but lazy, is the only thing in this world. He is the only thing in this world.
Once youâve both evened your breathing out, you roll apart and face each other, still just two forms bending the grass into your shapes. Blinking slowly and digesting his features one at a timeâthe angle of his eyes, softened but never tamed, the line of his nose, the line of his mouth always so proud and playful, and that pretty dot below his left eyeâyou let them solidify fully in your mind.
âYeonjun,â you say, finally meeting his eyes across from you. âI want to go. Iâm ready.â
The gentle, knowing look that he gives you soothes over the way your heart begins to race in your chest in rebellion. âI know,â he says.
Of course he had known. Yeonjun had been called here to ferry you into the afterlife. He had known the moment he appeared in front of you that his last soul to reap would be you; an ironic circle of karma that should be cruel, but you two make it something sweet. Chewing on your lip, you will your hands to not shake as you curl toward him. Youâre no longer scared of going. You know that if youâll be with him, it will be okay. It wonât be so scary. A hot tear rolls down your temple and then drops into your hair. âWill you be with me? I wonât be there alone?â
He tucks some hair behind your ear reverently and then leaves his hand there. âI donât know,â he answers. âBut I wonât leave you. Iâll stay right here with you.â
You lay there for a long time. Chatting and giggling and just looking into each other's eyes, until your heart becomes slow and all you feel is the wind singing in your blood. Yeonjun presses one final kiss to your forehead.
Maybe, in some years, somebody might dig up your bones and find you immortalized like this in your love. Your bones bowing toward each other, as if even death were not enough to stop you from reaching for each other. Or maybe theyâll just find yours, and Yeonjun still curling into them how you know he will for an eternity more.
Either way, the going is still slow and gentle, as death always is.

Solavellan Recommended Reading
I made a post like this for SilverV a million years ago and wanted to make one for Solavellan as well!
A few of these fics overlap with the ones I have linked in my current pinned post, but there are soooo many fantastic Solavellan fics out there that I decided to make a longer rec post so I could include more of them!!!
Without further ado, here are some of my favorites, in no particular order. Some of them are one-shots or shorter multi chapter fics, and some of them are massive long fics and everything in between. Some of them are new and still in progress, some of them are completed, and a handful of them are older fics. All of them are absolutely worth your time!
walk you to the shore - Scaryanne A beautifully written post-Veilguard one-shot about Solas and Lavellan having it all out in the Fade. Highly recommend!
the sun to burn - Pip (Moirail) An Inquisition re-write that goes off canon and does a phenomenal job at exploring a ton of aspects of the lore and story. Features fantastic character writing and takes really thought-provoking directions with the lore!
love is not a victory march - Brunchatthebookstore A Veilguard retelling where Lavellan is present at the ritual at the beginning that goes off book from there. It's beautifully, heartbreakingly written and off to a REALLY strong start with some truly devastating moments, so this one is absolutely one to watch.
miles below the surface of the dawn - gostak This fic is one of the most beautiful things I have ever read, period. On its face it's just 6 chapters of "there was only one bed" Inquisition-era Solavellan smut, but I stg the writer was channeling the spirit of Solas Dragon Age himself because it is the most perfect Solavellan smut I can imagine. Read this one, just trust me.
Martyr - existential_naptime If you like Solavellan angst, this one delivers in spades!!! It's set during Veilguard and explores what would happen if the Evanuris kidnapped the Inquisitor (and more specifically, how Solas would react). It is DELICIOUS and also extremely painful but well worth it!
Requited - cursedhag A beautifully written, pitch perfect Inquisition rewrite that fully checks all the boxes! Features a lot of excellent Solas POV that incorporates all the new lore reveals we learned in Veilguard. Do yourself a favor and read this!!!!
rook wins in the end - wiltedartist A great exploration of Rook's relationship with Solas in Veilguard. Solavellan, but focuses on the one-sided unrequited feelings that Rook develops for Solas. Really interesting angle that I haven't seen done better.
And Yet - say_lene Beautiful Inquisition-era Solavellan one-shot. All of this writer's fics are so beautiful and well-written, so I kind of picked this one randomly but ALL of their Dragon Age fics are worth reading. We stan a good smut character study!!!!!
In the Colours of Your Regrets - scribeofmorpheus Another excellent smut character study! Solas sadly jorkin' it in the Lighthouse to his own sad murals of his wife. 11/10 no notes.
Roses Where Thorns Grow - Bdafic This one explores what would have happened if, after Crestwood, Lavellan learned the truth about Solas and they rekindled their relationship. It's a beautiful story that stays true to character and explores some of their messier and more complicated relationship dynamics.
Servitude - niceasspavus Another really, really solid Inquisition rewrite that explores Solas and Lavellan's romance. Well-written with excellent details and characterization. Highly recommend all of this writer's other fics, as well.
These Hands, If Not Gods - Gefionne An AU where a pre-Inquisition Lavellan accidentally discovers an eluvian that lets Arlathan-era Solas time travel to her. Beautifully written smut and character development. AUs aren't often my thing, but this one is absolutely worth your time.
Looking Glass - Feynite This one is theee classic Solavellan fic and probably needs no introduction. It's a time travel Arlathan AU, and it still holds up even after all these years, even unfinished. If you haven't read this one yet, stop whatever you're doing right now and fix that.
Wildest Dreams - elf_trash Finally, this one is mine!!! It's a retelling of Veilguard with Lavellan as the protagonist (aka Lavellan IS Rook) that focuses on her complicated relationship with Solas. Starts near the end of Inquisition and will continue through Veilguard and slightly beyond. I plan on reincorporating a lot of scrapped ideas from Joplin.
This list is in no way comprehensive, as a) there are sooo many good ones and b) I haven't read everything (yet lolol), so please feel free to reblog this and add your favorites!!!
But in the meantime, do yourself a favor and check out all of these fics! Top tier stuff all around.
