I love when the hero chooses their loved one over the world, like to hell with saving everything if you can't be part of it, but I also love when the villain chooses their loved one over the world, like to hell with destroying everything if you have to go down with it

Fulokis WandaVision Rewrite- Chapter 2
Wanda furrowed her brow at her brother, "This is Vision, my husband. I swear you two have met before."
Peter processed what to say, "It's all a blur, honestly probably a side effect of being dead. Hey is that a Nintendo Entertainment system?"
"You and your games." Wanda said letting the subject of her brothers death go for the moment.
"You and your sitcoms." Peter shot back from inside the fridge. Grabbing a Capri Sun he speed over to the pantry and grabbed a chocodile, before heading back to the entry way to examine Vision.
"You never told me your brother had powers too." Vision said uncomfortably stepping to the side after Peter poked his face. "Or that he had died."
"Yes well..." Wanda said trying to figure out what to say.
"It runs in the family." Peter offered up still examining Vision.
"What no it doesn't." Wanda said furrowing her brow "Since when has it run in the family?"
"I believe what your brother is trying to say Wanda, is that it has something to do with genetics, rather than chance."
"Bingo!" Peter said.
"Shhhh." Wanda scolded, "If you wake up the kids I swear I will kill you."
"Kids?" Peter asked "First I'm an Uncle?! And second you had kids with the toaster over here?"
Vision frowned and Wanda shook her head, "Just try to be quiet okay?"
Peter chuckled, "You say that as if I'm not capable of being quiet."
"Vis can I talk to you for a minute?" Wanda asked half dragging the sinth into the kitchen.
"Are you okay Wanda?"
"Yeah yeah I'm fine why wouldn't I be?"
"Wanda you said I had met your brother, and that your brother had died. Neither of which I was aware of until now."
"Ohh I see. Yeah you two have met, it was quick. Literally he just ran past you. And about the whole death thing don't listen to him he's being dramatic."
"Wanda I find generally that people aren't dramatic about death." Vision said with visible confusion.
"He..." Wanda started, "We were six, and at school and well he choked on a potato because he was eating too fast. He was quiet at school I'm not sure why, but um the teacher wouldn't listen to me until he passed out. And the teacher went over to check on him... and his heart had stoped. The teacher started to try and revive him, and I don't know why but I went over to him and held his hand through it. He's fine but it left both of us shaken up."
"Oh I see." Vision said "Wanda do humans often claim premature death when they have no pulse?"
"Sometimes yes." Wanda said. "Look Pietro is probably going to need to sleep on the couch, he lives pretty far from here."
"Don't worry darling your family is my family." Vision said embracing Wanda and giving her a kiss on the forehead.
"You know this house reminds me of home!" Peter shouted from the living room.
Wanda sighed looking up at Vision. "I suppose I should go talk to him."
Vision smiled "Ill leave you two to catch up." He said before moving out of the kitchen and up the stairs.
Wanda walked over to the living room and sat down in the chair next to the couch. "So..."
Peter smiled "Do you still have that little thing mom gave you? The one with the other half that she game to me?"
Wanda smiled and laughed slightly, "Yeah I do. I'm assuming you lost yours?"
"Nah, it's in a safe place." Peter said. "At least I think, honestly don't remember exactly where I put it."
"Of course you don't. Although I'm sure you remember where you put moms special rock."
"In the cookie jar." Peter said smiling at the idea "No robber was ever going to look in that ugly old thing."
"Ugly? Dad would kill you if he ever heard you say that." Peter froze for a second, he knew he had something important to tell someone or say or something. Something about his father. "Pietro?"
"Sorry I guess I just haven't thought about them in a while." Peter said watching as Wanda got up.
"I'll make some hot chocolate." She said humming to herself a familiar tune.
"Thanks." Peter said standing up and walking into the kitchen to throw away his trash. "It's nice here. This town, your home, your family."
"Yeah I lucked out." Wanda said staring into the microwave.
"Yeah you did. I'm actually a little surprised."
"How so?"
"Well you settled down, you have a family. You don't have to worry about the world. You always wanted it, but I knew that you were terrified you wouldn't get it."
"Is it a bad thing?"
"No." Peter shook his head "No not at all. I think mom and dad would both be proud of you. They would've loved to meet your kids."
"Pietro you haven't even met my kids."
"Aw come on sis, you worried I won't like them?"
"No I'm worried they won't like you. There's a difference."
"Eh they'll like their old uncle P." Peter said and Wanda laughed. "But I'm being serious mom and dad would've loved them."
"Here." Wanda said handing Peter the hot chocolate mug to him.
Peter took a sip "You added a bit of cinnamon."
"Yeah just the way mom liked it." Wanda said, "Of course I'm not good with a stove in the way she was."
"It still tastes good." Peter said taking another sip, "So Uh how did you and toaster meet?"
"You really don't remember?" Wanda asked.
"Like I said it's a blur, although it's probably for the best."
"Yeah... for the best." Wanda said.
"I know that look." Peter said. "You're going to go watch a sitcom aren't you?"
"Maybe." Wanda replied setting the mug of hot chocolate she had made for herself on a coaster in the living room.
Peter followed her out to the living room walking over to the bookshelf in the corner. On the bookshelf sat a lonely chess piece. Peter picked up the black queen, running a finger along the piece. He stopped, he could remember something about the piece in his hand.
"She's lucky you know." Wanda said.
"What?" Peter asked sure for a second he heard a mans voice saying the words.
"She's lucky." Wanda said walking over, "Dad tried to teach you but you never had the patience."
"How is she lucky?" Peter asked.
"She's like us, unusual. We have powers like she does, and yet she's still not the most powerful piece on the board. She's always treated like she's second best, so she's lucky for anyone who is like her." Wanda explained.
Peter took a sharp breath, a memory came back to him almost as if he was reliving it. Through the fog in his mind he could remember. Him lounging on a couch Ororo sitting curled up in the sun on the other side of the couch reading a book. On an adjacent couch Jean was leaning on Scott having a hushed conversation with him. Jubilee and Kurt were sitting on the floor looking at a game of Life spread at their feet.
Peter had headphones in, but he didn't have any music playing. He knew that everyone else just figured he did and they let him be to take his 'nap'.
"Check." Charles said.
"Check mate." Erik replied placing a piece down.
"No it's not." Charles replied.
"Yes it is."
Charles sat and examined the board for a second "Fine you win this one my friend."
"You seem distracted today Charles."
"Distracted me? Never."
"Gah!" Kurt yelled in surprise accidentally teleporting into the table the two older mutants were using for their chess game. Peter startled at the loud noise and looked down to see a chess piece roll towards the couch. "Sorry Professor."
"Not to worry Kurt, we were done anyway." Charles said, "What startled you?"
Kurt started to explain to the professor what had happened. Peter tuned out the conversation sitting up and stretching. He bent down and picked up the piece that had rolled near the couch.
"She's lucky you know." Erik said watching the young mutant as he got up from the couch.
Peter nearly froze, he couldn't believe that Erik was talking to him. "What do you mean?"
"She's like us, powerful but always treated beneath those who have not evolved to a higher purpose. Always serving in the shadows of the less evolved."
Peter looked at the man slightly confused, "Has she brought you any luck?"
"A couple times yes." Erik replied, "She brought me family when I needed it."
"Oh." Peter replied, "Uh here." He said reaching out to give it to the man.
"Keep it." Erik said, nodding to Peters leg "You look like you could use a little luck."
"Heh luck, I don't need it." Peter said, "After all I did break you out of the pentagon without it. The legs just a little fluke that's all."
"Peter that's not something you need to boast about." Charles said handing Erik a a couple of renegade chess pieces.
Erik took the pieces from Charles and put them back with his set. Peter attempted to give the queen back to Erik. "Keep it, Ill get it back from you the next time I visit."
"Next Tuesday then?" Charles asked.
"Next Tuesday." Erik confirmed walking out of the room.
Peter waited until the man was out of earshot, "Why wouldn't he take it?" Peter asked Charles.
"Erik is a mystery that few can solve Peter."
"Haven't you professor?" Peter asked.
"Oh believe me I've tried." Charles said. "Best not to worry about it."
Peter looked down at the chess piece in his hand, he knew he was going to keep it close for the weekend. He had to keep it safe, if not for him but his father.
"Pietro?" Peter heard through his thoughts.
"What?" He asked still holding the chess piece.
"Are you okay?" Wanda asked touching his shoulder.
"Yeah, I just miss them ya know." Peter said mulling over the memory that he just seemingly formed.
Wanda nodded and gave him a hug. Peter went to place the queen back on the shelf but Wanda stopped him closing his hand around it. "Keep it, you could use some luck."
Peter wanted to protest but Wanda had already wandered off heading up the stairs. Peter walked over and sat down on the couch turning the piece over in his hands. Something wasn't right, or at least something didn't feel right. Peter sighed knowing he would have to mull over his thoughts later. Setting both his mug and the queen on the table he lie down on the couch and closed his eyes attempting to get some sleep.
The dreams he had were unsettling. He'd dreamt many times of death and dying, and yet these felt too real. Peter felt the pain, pain that shouldn't have been there. He'd been shot, he knew that in fact he was sure of that. And yet in his dream he nearly had his skull crushed while something pulled him towards the ground. What was even more unsettling was the man from his memory seemed to be the one trying to kill him.
Peter startled awake the last image of a man with a helmet, staring directly at him. He looked around the room to get his bearings. Wanda's husband sat in the chair next to the couch, reading the mornings newspaper. Peter turned his head slightly to read the headline on the paper.
"Restless night?" Vision asked.
"What?" Peter asked, "Oh yeah. Nightmares. Come to think of it do you get them?"
"Nightmares?" Vision pondered, "No I don't think so. Although I do get some unsavory images occasionally during my rest period."
Peter sat up, "Must be simple to be a machine. No reason to have fake memories."
"My memory has fallacies, although much less so than a human." Vision said paying much more attention to his newspaper than Peter.
"Mutant." Peter mumbled under his breath out of habit.
"What was that?" Vision asked.
"What? Nothing. I didn't say anything. It's you. You must be hearing things."
"I process audio input." Vision corrected looking up from his paper at the ten year old coming down the stairs. "Billy! Come say hello to your uncle Pietro."
Peter looked at the kid, "Uncle P is fine."
Billy walked down the stairs slowly and came to sit on the opposite side of the couch closer to his father, clutching closer to the blanket he'd wrapped around himself. "He takes after Wanda."
Peter smiled and nodded at Vision, "Hey."
"Mom said you were very far away." Billy said.
"Peter smiled mischievously, "She wasn't wrong about me being far away, I mean I do live pretty far away..."
"Woah your hair is cool!" A kid shouted running down the stairs.
"Hey, Tommy what have we told you about running in the house?" Vision reprimanded.
The boy ignored his father and jumped on the couch right next to Peter "Can I touch it?"
Peter made a weird face, "I guess." He replied.
"Aww I thought it would feel cool too." Tommy said, "Who are you? Why are you here? Are you a secret agent?"
"That's Uncle P Tommy." Billy said.
"Woah!" Tommy yelled.
"Tommy what have we told you about yelling!" Wanda said coming down the stairs.
"But mom..."
"Listen to your mother kid." Peter said.
"See your Uncle knows what he's talking about."
"Do you listen to her Uncle P?" Billy asked.
Peter smiled and got up and sped towards Wanda, letting her stop him with her magic much to her resignation. "Nope." Peter said with a grin watching as the kids faces lit up with surprise. Wanda gave him a playful slap on the shoulder at his response, "But you should listen to her, she gives some good advice."
"That's better." Wanda said as the phone rang. Wanda sighed and picked it up, "Hello?... oh no...hold on... vis can you handle it?" Wanda asked nodding at the fact that Tommy had stolen his brothers blanket and started using it as a cape. "... what were you saying?... is there anything I can do?... are you sure?... okay feel better."
"What is it?" Peter asked.
"Vis Hon, Agnes can't babysit for us, she's come down with the flu."
"Rats, if only there were someone we could get to watch the kids." Vision said winking towards Peter.
"No, I am not letting..." Wanda started.
"Awwww." Billy said, "But mom I want to hang out with Uncle P."
"Please!?" Tommy asked.
Wanda frowned, "Oh I don't know. Vision what do you think?"
"I think that's an excellent idea. The kids get to hang out with their Uncle, you and I get to spend some time to ourselves. And Agnes doesn't have to worry too much about the kids. It's a Win-Win-Win situation dear."
"I'm still not sure." Wanda said.
"Don't sweat it Sis, nothing I can't handle." Peter said showing off his muddles for the twins.
"Please mom please??" Both boys pleaded.
Wanda sighed "Alright fine, but only because I'm outvoted."
"Yay!" Both twins shouted.
"But and this is a big but, you have to behave yourselves." Wanda said, "No T.V. After 9 and no desert after dinner you hear me?"
"Yes of course we hear you mom." Billy said, "Can we watch T.V. Until you go?"
"Yes you may." Wanda said, "Pietro can I talk to you?"
"Yeah." Peter said following his sister into the kitchen. "What's up?"
"Are you sure you're up for this?" Wanda asked watching as Vision helped the boys with the T.V.
Peter snorted, "Oh come on sis, how bad can they really be? Cause I've died and come back, not much can be worse."
"Pietro that's what I'm worried about. You sure you don't want to rest, or take it easy?"
Peter placed a hand on Wanda's shoulder "My dear sister I've never once in my life taken it easy, and there's no way in my afterlife life I'm going to take it easy either."
Wanda smiled and shook her head, "You're still awful at jokes."
"Aw come on you know I'm better at practical jokes." Peter said pulling his sister into a hug. "But my point is I'll be fine and your kids will be fine, I won't let anything happen to them I promise."
"Thank you." Wanda said, "I'll do the same for you if you ever have kids."
"I know Wanda, I know." Peter said, his mind slipping back to the memory of the chess piece and the dream he had experienced the previous night. Something was wrong here he could feel it, something about the town, about Wanda's husband, about Agnes. They felt fake in a way, almost as if they weren't meant to be there. He felt uneasy most of the time, especially as he tried to parse out what was actually real and what was fake. One thing he knew for sure, Wanda and her kids were real. And he'd be damned if he let anything happen to them.

Chapter Twenty: The Cuban Missile Crisis
I woke up with an acute pain in my head and the bitter of taste blood in my mouth. Letting out a shaky breath, I slowly opened my eyes and everything around me seemed to be inverted. I then realized that I was seated upside down, unbuckling myself I fell to the floor, using my hands to brace myself. I pushed myself up and looked around just as I heard a groan at the back of the jet. Flipping my head to look back I saw both Charles and Erik getting up, once Charles' eyes met mine he quickly made his way over to me.
He held his hands out to me, "Are you okay?" Charles asked softly, scanning for any injuries as I pulled myself up.
"Peachy," I answered, with a strained smile.
"Are you sure you can fight?" Charles pressed, worry clearly written on his face.
"Yes, I'm perfectly sure Charles," I replied, pushing my now messy ponytail out of my face. "Now go help the others out," I ordered lightly, pulling my hair back into a neater ponytail.
Charles nodded and flashed a small smile before he moved forward to help Hank and Moira.
Erik walked past me and lightly patted me on the back, "Nice job, Blythe," he smiled to me as he helped Alex up.
"Thanks," I groaned, massaging my neck and the back of my head.
"I read the teleporters mind," Charles prompted, as we all moved around to look out the windows at the wrecked submarine, across the beach from us with Angel, Azazel, and the other man, Riptide, standing in front. "Shaw's drawing all of the power out of his sub. He's turning himself into some kind of nuclear bomb," Charles informed, lips drawn into a thin line.
"We've got no time, the Geiger counter's going out of control!" Moira shouted, staring at the sensors and trying to make sense of them.
"All right Moira, this is what we're going to do," Charles began. "Get on the radio and send both fleet's out immediately," he ordered, and Moira went straight to work.
"I'm going in," Erik announced.
"Beast, Havok, Blythe, back him up," Charles continued and got nods back from all of us. "Erik, I can guide you through once you're in. But I need you to shut down whatever it is that's blocking me. Then we just hope to god it's not too late for me to stop him," Charles finished, looking at all of us.
"Got it," Erik nodded and turned towards the massive opening in the back where the jet had ripped apart.
The boys and I all shared a look with each other before we exited the submarine. Erik, Alex, Hank, and I all stepped out the jet, our feet finally touching the sandy beach of Cuba. Stepping out into the open, we lined up with Azazel, Riptide, and Angel as they stood in front of their submarine. The submarine was only a few hundreds yards away from our crashed jet.
We all stared down at each other. Angel fluttered her wings and flew into the air, Azazel unsheathed his two swords, and Riptide created two miniature tornadoes that hovered above his hand. Without even a slight hesitation, Alex fired an bright, red energy beam at Riptide, making him fly backwards. He smacked the submarine with a resounding thud and Azazel soon disappeared afterwards.
The battle had begun.
I let out a yelp of surprise as Azazel appeared behind me instantly swinging his sword at my neck. Luckily, I managed to jump backwards, only earning a small scratch on my neck from his sword. As Azazel lifted his other sword up into the air, Beast attacked him, stopping him from taking another swing at me. However, Azazel had another plan and quickly grabbed a hold of Alex with his red tail Hank had grabbed onto the teleporter's shoulder and all three of them were gone.
I watched as Erik ran towards the sub as I stood up. I heard the tell-tale sign of insect wings and turned just in time as Angel attacked me. Ducking and rolling I threw out my hand causing Angel to fly back. She righted herself and floated above me, just as Riptide ran out towards me.
I took a quick look around to see if I could find Angel, but she was nowhere to be seen. Well, at least I only had one person to worry about now. But, I had to move fast before he could make another one of his tornadoes and blow me away. I narrowed my eyes allowing my violet aura to flare up around my hands in a show of power, waiting for him to get a little closer.
Once he was closer, I threw sphere of violet quickly threw it at his feet, I didn't want to kill him, but unfortunately this is a war and casualties are apart of it.
The blast sent him in the air and onto his back, I charged straight at him as soon as he landed, focusing my aura into my hand I jumped up and went to land a blow on his face, but he moved out of the way, rolling next to me. He got up and grabbed a hold of my leg, easily picking me up and throwing me to the side. I was able to land on my feet and straighten myself as he made his was closer to me.
Riptide swung punches left and right and I easily dodged them, sending him a few of my own. I had to rely on my hand to hand training that Erik taught me to get me through this as it was too dangerous to try and use my powers as I too could get hurt if I tried to use another telekinetic blast. Though I would never admit it to Erik because I don't want to inflate his already large ego, but I'm very grateful for my training with him for if I hadn't had any, I would have easily been done for.
Riptide went to hit my side and I slid down under him, pushing him from behind so that he'd fall on his stomach. I took this time to send a disk of energy and throw it at a Palm tree in front of us, causing it to fall down towards us. I quickly moved out of the way so that the tree would only hit Riptide, and it completed its purpose of successfully knocking Riptide out.
I looked up at the sound of Sean's shrieking and saw him falling down towards me with none other than Alex hanging onto his arm. Although I was very happy to see that they were mostly unharmed, I was more worried that they were about to land right on me at the moment to be glad to see them. Sean seemed to have one of his wings burned so he had to resort to a crash landing. I held out my hand using my hands to slow their fall, but they were coming too hot and just as I predicted, they landed right on top me.
I let out a groan as Alex's weight was pushed onto me, not gently what-so-ever at that. Sean had landed a little bit away from us, thankfully not on me as well, as Alex had.
Alex got off from on top of me, "Thanks for the help,"
"I try," I joked, as he moved to help me up.
I looked up to see Angel coming straight for us. I quickly maneuvered us and shot bolt towards her before she can reach us, sending her off course. Angel spat acid at me and it ended up hitting my leg, causing me to cry out in pain. Alex whipped around towards Angel and fired a beam in her direction, finishing what I had started, slicing off one of her bottom wings. Flipping around out of control Angel crashed to the ground with a shout, but she was still breathing.
"We work pretty well together don't we," I smirked up at him, ignoring my pained leg with the help of the adrenaline coursing through my veins.
I could hear Sean laughing from the side with relief after seeing Angel land on the ground with a thud after Alex shot her down. Alex helped put out the small flames on my leg while Sean tore away his ruined wing right.
My eye went to Alex's chest and I noticed that his plate was gone, "What happened to your chest plate?" I asked, amazed that he had been able to fire at Angel even without it.
"Angel got a hold of it," he answered gruffly, sounding very displeased as helped me to my feet.
I couldn't help but smile and laugh until a sudden, a sharp, searing pain entered my head. I collapsed to my knees, kneeling in the sand, clutching my hands to my head tightly. My screams grew louder as the pain grew stronger. It felt like something was being pushed through my skull. My screams grew louder and louder as I felt a small object float through my entire skull, it felt like my brain was being ripped right through. It had lasted for only for moment.
But it easily felt like an eternity.
"Claudia? Claudia!" someone was shaking me. "Are you alright? What's going on? What's happening?"
I blinked multiple time as my vision was blurred from the invisible pain before I was finally able to focus on Alex and Sean. The horror was over, but I still clutched my head as I still felt the lingering pain of whatever just tore through my skull. I was at a lost of words, I had no idea what had just happened.
"I don't-I-" I stammered, looking around of what could cause that amount of excruciating pain. "H-Help me up," I breathed out, and Alex and Sean quickly obliged, putting each of their arms around my waist to lift me off the ground.
My mind was clearing up, but the residual mind splitting pain was faintly pulsating in my head. As I recollected my thoughts I mentally did a headcount of everyone on the beach through their emotions. Something wasn't adding up, everyone on the team seemed a little worse for wear, but otherwise fine. Hell, even in Shaw's team were battered themselves...wait a minute.
What about Shaw himself?
"Holy shit...it's Shaw," I gasped, when it hit me not realizing that Raven and Hank were now with Sean, Alex, and I. "He's-" I started, but couldn't the finish the sentence.
The loud sound of metal creaking pierced through the air, looking over to the submarine my eyes widened to the size of saucers at the sight before me. Shaw's corpse was floating in the air, with Erik himself emerging right behind him now wearing Shaw's helmet.
"Today our fighting stops!" Erik shouted, as he levitated Shaw even higher. All of us, including Shaw's team, started walking towards him slowly. As we got closer I could see a line of blood on Shaw's forehead right as Erik let go and he fell to the ground with a sickening crush in front of us making me wince. Slowly, he descended to the ground, looking around at us. "Take off your blinders, brothers and sisters. The real enemy is out there," he pointed to where the ships of the USSR and the US were. "I feel their gun moving in the water; their metal targeting us. Americans, Soviets, Humans!" He spat out the last word in disgust, as both Charles and Moira appeared, walking up to join him by the water.
"United in their fear of the unknown. The Neanderthal is running scared, my fellow mutants!" Erik looked over towards Charles and I, he was walking alongside him out to the shore. "Go ahead Charles, Claudia tell me I'm wrong,"
Charles narrowed his eyes at Erik, but reluctantly raised two fingers up to his temple. While I also looked to the water, probing out to sense what emotions were running through the heads of the men on the ships and sadly I felt it. I felt the ships running together and if I concentrated more I could feel the guns turning towards us.
"He's not," I whispered and felt all, Alex's, Sean's, Hank's, and Raven's eyes look to me and then to Charles.
Charles, who slowly lowered his fingers, looked to Moira and nodded. Quickly she took off to the jet, to call off the attack or something. We waited, staring out at the ships when I felt a shift in the air and automatically let out an audible gasp as missiles from every ship fired heading straight for the beach.
We would all be dead.

Test The Limits//1
She spent so long thinking she was alone. That every step she took would be met with resistance and an uncomfortable burning sensation that one feels when it is new. She remembers how stiff her back would get at the dinner table under the gaze of her mother’s watchful eye. Remembers how every night she wished she would look away and that one night when she did. When she used her mind to turn her mother’s head. And hold it there. Even as she asked her to let it go. To stop.

To stop.
She remembers the first night her powers burned in her chest. So hot she thought they were going to explode out of her. And when they did, she wasn’t afraid of them. She loved the sensation. The darkness turning into light and escaping out of her wherever it could. Torching the house she had felt trapped in her entire life. And the way she felt free as she floated away from it.
She remembers so much. Nearly everything. But she is especially cursed when it comes to remembering him.
It was Switzerland, 1962. She had made a living for herself as a negotiator for businessmen who preferred to stay in the shadows. The notion that she could control one’s mind to get the deal those paying for wanted was unknown but benefitted her greatly. She was in demand and never wanted for anything. She thought the man behind the desk would be just as easy. And he was. It was the intruder that was the problem.
“Excuse me, but this is my appointment,” she said coolly as she heard the door open but didn’t turn to look, instead making sure that the man’s hand kept moving to sign the paper.
“My business is much more important.” She watched the pen click shut and fly against the wall without the touch of any human. But the man behind the desk did not move.
“I guess we’ve both mastered some tricks.” She stood and turned to face the man who had interrupted her. “And you are?”
“Someone seeking revenge.”
“What could a man as weak as he do to someone with the gifts you have?” He pulled his sleeve up and showed the numbers that marked him like he was an animal. She knew what they meant. “What does he have that will help you in your quest?”
“He can tell me where the man who made me into a monster is.” He showed her the marked gold.
“It’s illegal to be in possession of this,” she mused with more than enough on her tone that he knew she was being facetious. “Maybe you can help this man get the answers he is looking for.”
“I know nothing about pieces with that marking,” the man said with a gasp as she allowed him to sit up rigidly in his chair.
“I don’t tolerate liars.” Before she could act, she sensed her new companion was. The choking sound from the banker and the look of anguish subsiding slightly when the capped tooth came out of his mouth. “Argentina.” The man was screaming it in his head, unable to get the words out through the blood.
“It was nice meeting you,” he said with a tip of his head.
“No.” He froze in his steps as she took over his mind. “You’re the first person with gifts I’ve met. Let me go with you.” And she spent the same amount of time regretting those words as she did cherishing them. That decision had set her life on a path she would never be able to recover from.
In Argentina, she kept quiet and kept back. She watched Erik and studied the way he went about his business. She didn’t use her powers once and was impressed to see that he could hold his own. The way the metal would bend to his will, fascinated her. She couldn’t look away nor did she want to. There was something addicting about having power yourself but also in watching someone wield the power they had. She was content to remain propped on the stool in the corner as he dispatched the three pigs in the bar.
“Would you like a beer?” The thrill of the kill had left him breathless, a strand of hair falling into his eyes as he went behind the bar.
“Are they any good?” He shrugged.
“It’s German.” She took that as a yes and accepted the glass he handed to her.
“I felt their pain. As you killed them.”
“I’m sorry you did but not that they felt it.”
“I know. I wanted you to know that it wasn’t peaceful for them. That they didn’t drift away but burned on the way down.” It seemed like that was what he was after, at least in her eyes. Revenge wasn’t clean. And she wasn’t sure that it was going to bring him peace when all was said and done.
“Thank you,” he said sincerely. It was an odd understanding between them. Erik wondered if she knew what he needed to hear because she read his mind or because he was that easy to read.
“I know what you’ll do once you find him but what happens after?” What happens after someone has fulfilled their life purpose? She was curious to know the answer for her own path.
“I’m not sure. I just need to get there. I can’t worry about the after.”
“Well, unfortunately, I can’t tell the future,” she replied with a smile.
“What can you do?” he whispered back.
“Lots of things. But I can’t control all of them.” He nodded in understanding. It made sense why she had been travelling the world alone. Better to only hurt yourself than someone you loved. “Can I?” she asked as she motioned towards his head. He nodded and she cradled the side of his forehead, a warmth spreading through him he hadn’t felt in many years.
“That feels nice,” he murmured as his eyes drifted closed.
“I can read your present but also your past. Sort through everything you have stored up there and show it to both of us.” She picked a happy memory, maybe Erik’s happiest. Him and his mother around the menorah. There weren’t that many happy ones and instead of risking the bubble bursting, she pulled away and brought them back to reality.
“I hadn’t thought about that in so long.”
“Sometimes we have to remind ourselves of the good. Even if it isn’t what is driving us. It is still a piece of us.” Perhaps she should take a bit of her own advice.
Miami was where it all began to crumble around them. She told Erik she wanted to sit and watch from the dock. That she wasn’t interested in getting her hair wet nor was she interested in meeting the monster that had hurt him so deeply. Completely immersed in To Kill A Mockingbird, she almost missed the tingling on the edges of her mind. She had never felt it before. It felt like someone was trying to get in.
Another telepath, the voice inside her head spoke. It sounded male. And British.
Who are you? She shared his surprise that there was another similar to her.
My name is Charles Xavier. It’s a pleasure to meet you.
You don’t know that. She pushed him from her mind and moved to the edge of the water. She could see the ship Erik had been targeting but couldn’t see him. Closing her eyes, she used all her strength to lift herself off the ground and move out towards the lights of the ship in the distance. It was then that she saw the military ship approaching as well. And a man on the balcony looking at her like he was studying her. She immediately knew that was Charles.
Erik. There are people here. Mutants. They look like they are with the government. You have to leave. There was silence. She could sense him below her but knew he was too focused on his revenge to receive her message.
Don’t get yourself caught in the crossfire she heard Charles say, back in her head as the gun ships began to race in her direction. Come with me. I can help you- His offer was cut short as one of the men with Shaw produced two tornados in his palms and sent them towards the Americans.
“Shit,” she whispered to herself. How many different kinds of mutants were there? Why had she been naive enough to think she was the only one? Why had the universe let her? She didn’t have time to dwell on it as an anchor came shooting from the water. At the last second, she ducked under the chain but the loss of concentration left her plummeting towards the sea below. Her legs pushed frantically towards the surface, urged along by her lungs screaming for air.
“Let it go!” As she gasped she heard Charles’ voice again. This time it wasn’t in her head but out loud. He was screaming from where he stood on deck. And it only took a moment to figure out why. Erik was desperately trying to gain control of a submarine that she assumed Shaw was trying to escape in. “You’ll drown!” But there was no convincing him. He would never see the benefit in letting go.
I’m too weak. You have to let go for him. Charles didn’t hesitate. He dove into the water as soon as she left his head. She wonders how he was so trusting. She wonders if he knew there were others like him in the world or if she was the first he had met as well. The anger of Erik as the submarine motored away was strong enough that it made her nauseous. The two men surfacing at the same time that her world began to spin.
“Sera?” Erik swam to her as her head began to loll to one side.
“The fire,” she whispered as his arms wrapped around her.
“Do you know what’s happening?” he asked the other man. Maybe he could use his abilities to ail her of hers.
“Let’s get her on board and I’ll have a look.”
She woke up in a stiff bed with a thin sheet. It was nothing like she was used to. The room was plain and smelled clinical. It wasn’t prison, she thinks, because her wrists weren’t shackled to the bed. But it certainly didn’t feel like a home.
“You’re awake.” She looked and saw Erik entering the room. He was holding a book.
“Yes,” she replied quietly. They regarded each other for a moment. What a predicament they had found themselves in. Maybe she should have let him walk in the bank that day.
“Would you like some water? Something to eat?”
“Both,” she said without any hesitation in her voice. He nodded once and disappeared from the room again. She could assume she had been asleep for longer than just one night. Could assume it was from the output of energy staying afloat in Miami required. She could also assume that her and Erik had been taken in by Charles and his government friends. For what purpose she did not know but she needed to find out.
No harm will come to you, Sera. She looked around the room but knew she wouldn’t see him.
I’d appreciate no more intrusions unless you ask me for permission first. It was odd. Even when he wasn’t speaking, she could still sense he was there. She could tell he wasn’t rooting around looking at her thoughts or her memories. At least he had some sense of private space.
We brought you to a CIA research facility. Where you can recover safely.
And Erik? Did he agree to this? She couldn’t imagine he would. Not with his history and knowledge of the horrors that are committed in the name of science.
I don’t want to speak on his behalf.
You were in his mind long enough. You know what he is feeling.
He was comforted by the fact that he was no longer alone. And for whatever reason a pang went through her heart. She hadn’t joined him on his quest for the companionship or because of his addictive personality. She had joined because she didn’t wish to be alone any longer. And she thought that was what she provided him. She supposes she was wrong.
Goodbye, Charles. Next time, you can find the will to speak to me in person. She pushed him out and locked the door behind him. It was just in time for Erik to come back, a glass in one hand and a plate in the other.
“The food here is tolerable, nothing too spectacular,” he prefaced as he placed it on the table next to her.
“Thank you. Apparently sleeping takes up a lot of energy.” She chugged the water quickly and tucked into the piece of chicken with ferocity.
“We think it was more of a recharge than sleep. Charles said you have this...this energy inside of you. He didn’t know how to explain it.”
“I don’t know how to either. And I live with it.” She placed the glass back where it came from, Erik catching her hands before they could land back in her lap.
“I’m not going to let anything happen to you,” he whispered sincerely.
“I won’t let them hurt you either,” she whispered back. In a moment of weakness, he kissed her knuckles and let his lips linger. She felt the energy long after he pulled away. “Thank you.” He nodded. Maybe neither of them were alone after all.

What have I done I left her when they after me was
This was Ororo’s only thought. She had to fight the impulse to run back into the woods and save her daughter. Apart of her knew that her daughter was already gone. What is the point of both of us getting taking said a darker another part of her. Feeling conflicted about everything Ororo starts to cry.
“You should listen to yourself it would’ve been pointless if you both would have gotten caught.” Said a voice behind Ororo.
Turning around Ororo see a man in a wheelchair. “Who are you?” Ororo questioned.
“I’m Charles Xavier and when came out the store I felt overwhelmed sadness coming from you I wanted to make sure cyou were ok but clearly you’re not....what is the matter?” Charles asked.
“These people they were after me and now they have my daughter. They experiment on mutants..... I have to do something to find her.” Ororo explained.
“How would you do it? If you had the power to stop them you would’ve.” Charles stated.
“May you can. Can you help me save my daughter please I’ll do anything.” Ororo pleaded as she wipes her face.
“There’s not much I can do I’m just a man in a wheelchair who want to create a world were mutant can walk outside without fear.” Charles declared.
“What about my daughter I’ll never see her again.” Ororo sobbed.
Charles lay a comforting hand on Storm’s shoulder. “You never had a daughter Ororo your here because you want to help with your Mutant abilities.” Charles lied as he planted a thought inside Ororo’s head.
Ororo stops sobbing and looks at Charles In curiosity.
“My school is for mutants who can’t control their powers or want to be around other people of their kind.” Charles informed Ororo. “Does that seem like a place where you want to be?”
“Yes it does sound like a place I would want to be.” Ororo said with a smile.

On the Helicarrier Tony and Bruce are working on their monitors to find the Location of the Tesseract.
“That’s the guy my dad never shut up about? Wondering if they shouldn’t have kept him on ice.” Tony remarked.
“The guy’s not wrong about Loki. He does have the jump on us.” Bruce agreed with Steve.
“What he’s got is an ACME dynamite kit.” Tony mocked. “It's gonna blow up in his face, and I'm gonna be there when it does.”
“And I'll read all about it.” Bruce replied.
“Uh-huh. Or you'll be suiting up like the rest of us.” Tony disclosed.
“Ah, see. I don't get a suit of armor. I'm exposed, like a nerve. It's a nightmare.” Bruce explained.
“You know, I've got a cluster of shrapnel, trying every second to crawl its way into my heart. Tony started then points at the mini arc reactor in his chest. “This stops it. This little circle of light. It's part of me now, not just armor. It's a... terrible privilege.”
“But you can control it.” Bruce pointed out.
“Because I learned how.”
“It's different.” Banner tries to read the computer screen, but Tony slides the data aside with his finger so the two can see face-to-face.
“Hey, I've read all about your accident. That much gamma exposure should have killed you.” Tony put forth.”
“So you're saying that The Hulk... the other guy... saved my life?” Bruce asked. “That's nice. It's a nice sentiment. Saved it for what?”
“I guess we'll find out.” Tony replied.
Banner and Stark get back to work at their respective computers.
“You might not like that.”
“You just might.”

Y/n walks into the room and uses her powers to cover up the cameras with a small little cloud she walks over to Loki so he has his back to her and waits for her to speak.
“Where is the Tesseract?” Y/n question.
“35 minutes that’s how long it taken you to finally come in here. Loki announced. “See me you felt some thing when you first saw me like your world slow down and all you saw was me.”
How the hell does he know that .....ignore his question that’s what he wants to take the tension off of him
“Where is the Tesseract.” Y/n repeated her question.
“I don’t know where is but if you want to take a look inside my mind I wouldn’t object.” Loki said with a smirk daring wanting Y/n to do it.
Not trying to show her shock she starts to walks around Loki’s cell.
“So you don’t know where it is when you’re the one who took it.”
“Yes.” Loki said Dead serious.
“You’re a real piece of work you know that. Why did you let yourself be captured come on let’s be honest if Thor and his friends can hold their own in a fight I damn well you can.” Y/n proclaimed.
“It was a fair match I was over powered.” Loki lied.
“Bullshit. You expect me to believe that you got caught nah. You want this to happen you want to be here and I wanna know why because your prize possession ain’t here.” Y/n pointed out.
“You got me. Something told me that you were going to be here I let myself get caught so I could finally met you in person.” Loki answered.
“Why would you do that?” Y/n wondered.
“You are beautiful beyond measures and you’re nothing like anyone I ever met before You’re different like me.” Loki announced.
“You don’t know me.” Y/n informed sassily.
“I know everything there is to know about you Y/n L. Munroe. I also know that you want information about what truly happened that night.” Loki commented.
“How do you know that.” Y/n questioned walking up to the glass of the cell.
“A trickster never reveals his tricks.” Loki answered with a smirk.
“Why do I feel this pull towards.....like everything inside of me is screaming to break this glass just to be close to you.” Y/n said touching the glass.
“Then why don’t you.” Loki whispered as he placed his hand where Y/n is on the glass.
“Because your the enemy. You want war.” Y/n Replied as searches Loki mind for the Tesseract.
○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○
“What do you know of Agent Munroe?” Loki asked Clint.
“She is a powerful mutant that can control the weather and read minds.” Clint answered.
Loki calls over two Shield agents. “I want you to tell Dr. Selvig to take the Tesseract and find his opening.” Loki ordered then walks out the underground to get an eyeball.
○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○
Damn it he doesn’t know where the Tesseract is.
“I want to be a King and every King needs a Queen.” Loki breathed his words at Y/n.
I understand why eve ate that Fucking Apple
“I need to go.” Y/n rushes out the room and bumps into Thor.
“ You. Me. Talk. Now.” Y/n pulls Thor into The nearest room and close the door.
“What the hell you mean he’s here because of me?”
“I forgot you could read minds.” Thor stated.
“It’s not like I’m doing it on purpose.” Y/n assured Thor.
“You and my brother are meant to be it’s been written in the stars of Asgard it’s a great honor.” Thor explained.
“What!?”
“My mother told me after Loki died or least we thought he did. She created a spell to find Loki a true love and it’s you.”
Is that’s why I feel the way I feel about him.
“Enough about Loki tell me about you how have you been. Have you seen Jane yet .” Y/n asked taking a sit on on the couch.
“No I haven’t I don’t think I will.” Thor answered taking a sit next to Y/n.
“Because after you leave here you have to go back home.” Y/n expressed.
“It will be to hard.” Thor replied with a sad smile.
“I understand it’s ok buddy.” Y/n said as she lays her head on Thor’s shoulder.
“How about you anything interesting happened after our last encounter?” Thor asked.
“I found out my mother is alive.” Y/n answered dryly.
“That’s........Amazing.” Thor proclaimed.
“She left me at the hands of people who hunt and experimented on mutants.”
“My.... apologies”
“I was five I loved her she was my world. All we had was each other. I.....I blamed myself for her death I thought if I would’ve just stayed awake or kept running....” Y/n trailed off.
“Things would’ve ended differently.” Thor finished for Y/n.
“Ya.....what are we gonna do about Loki.” Y/n said getting up from the couch to pace back-and-forth.
“I was hoping you do something.” Thor proposed.
“I read his mind he gave the cube to Erik and told him to find an opening.” Y/n answered.
“How did he know about your powers?” Thor questioned.
“Agent Barton told him.....Look I’m gonna go get some sleep I’m over working my brain.” Y/n said in a tired voice.
“Already.”
“I really did miss you Thor.” Y/n said with a smile.
“And I you.” Thor returned the smile.
Y/n walks out the room to her Temporary quarters Y/n lays down in her room she closes her eyes and drift off into a deep sleep.
○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○
Y/n wakes up and see she’s not in her bed she gets out of the bed and walks to the nearest window and pull back the curtains and see a city made of gold.
Asgard
Y/n smiles as she looks at every detail. Seemingly built into the rock, large structures with sweeping terraces top many of the cliffs; gleaming pyramids, statues, and columns surround Odin's palace. Another notable feature in Asgard is the-
“The Rainbow Bridge.” Y/n Announced.
“Actually it’s called The Bifrost Bridge.” Said a voice behind Y/n making turn around fast.
It’s Loki. But he looks different he doesn’t have that evil look in his eyes there soft.
“Loki.” Y/n whispered his name. “What are you doing here? What am I doing here.”
“You’re in my mind, when you saw me for the first time we became linked.” Loki explained.
“Oh.”
“Will you have breakfast with me?” Loki asked.
“Breakfast?” Y/n said with a smile.
“You must change.”
Just then two ladies comes walking in the room with to dress then they lay them on the bed and bow at Y/n.
“Don’t you think this is a little too formal. It’s just breakfast.” Y/n stressed.
“These are Asgard customs.” Loki Informed Y/n.
“Ok I’ll be down in few minutes.”
Loki bow his head then walks out the room.
Why are they bowing at me
Y/n walks over to the dress on the bed. The one on the left is a long and green with cross stitching on the chest. But the one on the right was long and tan light with red sugar Maple Leafs climbing from the bottom of the dress to around the neck leaving the upper chest expose. Y/n picks up the dress and smiles.
I not really a dress girl but who could deny this one
Y/n puts the dress on and walks over to the mirror.
Damn I look good
Y/n walks out the room not bother to fix her hair but it was already in her favorite hair style. The ladies that brought the dresses in the room walks Y/n to the dining hall. When she gets there she see Loki waiting for her. Loki take Y/n’s hand and walks her to her sit.
“This is all so much.” Y/n said taking a sit.
“Nonsense anything for you.” Loki said pushing Y/n’s sit in.
”Thank you...I’ve only seen Asgard from Thor’s memories but this is beautiful.” Y/n
“This is my memories.” Loki told Y/n as he takes his sit.
Y/n looks around the Grate Hall in amazement. There’s two tables a shorter one thats the one Loki and Y/n are at then it’s the longer one where Loki has every earth breakfast food on it. As Y/n is distracted by the architectural structure of the Castle Loki is looking at her noticing every detail of her face.
“This is really beautiful Loki.” Y/n Praised.
“Not beautiful then you.” Loki remarked.
When Y/n finally looks at Loki she see that he’s giving her the “looks” you know the see into your soul look.
“Loki, what am I doing here?” Y/n wondered.
“I want to know you better is that a crime.” Loki answered.
“No it is not but I know there’s more to it.” Y/n disclosed.
“I want to know everything about you in exchange I’ll tell you about the night your mother disappeared.” Loki proposed.
“Ok. What do you want to know?” Y/n asked.
“Anything.” Loki breathed.
“Well I find nature relaxing, best years of my life was when I lived in New Orleans with Gambit, November 18 is the day I control my power l just remember this overwhelming sadness that I couldn’t control. I caused a state wide earthquake and black out even some city in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Connecticut had black outs. Think I care to much. I’m passionate about everything I do. When I’m losing control of my powers I think of my time with Gambit and it always seem to work. I think I watch y/tv to much. My house is y/h . You remain me of Professor Snape a good guy in disguise.
“Who’s Professor Snape is he someone important to you?” Loki asked.
“He’s important to everyone who reads Harry Potter. You see Professor Snape was portrayed to be a bad guy but he never was he was an asshole yes but not a bad guy. He cared for Harry because he was a piece of the woman he loved.....I’m sorry I really the loved books and movies Gambit used to read them to me.” Y/n stated with a smile.
“No it’s fine you said you were passionate about everything.” Loki said with an fond look.
Y/n smiles and starts to eat her pancakes. As Y/n is eating some syrup gets on the corner of Y/n’s mouth. Loki looks Y/n in the eyes as he reaches over and slowly wipes the syrup away from Y/n’s mouth with his thumb. He then puts the pad of this thumb into his mouth. Y/n is shocked by Loki sudden movement.
“You had syrup on your cheek.” Loki told Y/n
“Um....thanks....Um the view is amazing.” Y/n gets up and walks over to the balcony needing to put space between her and Loki. But it was in vane Loki walks up behind her.
“I’ve seen something far more amazing.” Loki
“Why are you doing this are trying to put me under your spell?” Y/n wondered.
“No I would never.” Loki said serious voice.
“Then what’s going on.”
“I just want to be here with you.”
And in that moment Y/n knew that Loki was serious even asked all the times he told her he was she finally believed. Y/n turns around and smiles at Loki she ledes in and kisses him. She then starts to get flashes of Loki’s childhood and smiles into the kiss.

Steve, with all his might, slides the heavy iron door and stealthily walks in. Secure storage 10-C is a large warehouse, filled with Metal crates stacked. Steve looks up, seeing another level. He leaps up high and holds onto the catwalk railing. Steve continues to move forward.

Inside this particular van, Selvig and a few other soldiers are driving inside a long tunnel. With the CMS device inside, Selvig carefully picks up the small cylinder shape Iridium with metal prongs and lightly places it a slot within the CMS. The CMS Accepts it and Selvig looks at it, devilishly smiling.

After “accepting” Charles offer to be be apart of this school Ororo went on to be known as the X-Men Storm somewhat of a caretaker of the children at Charles’s school. This was every day routine for Ororo waking up teaching children taking care of them and then probably go out scouting for more mutants with Jean or Scott but this time Charles had a different approach he paired her up with Logan. Yes you heard right the mutant with an unstoppable healing power, adamantium metal claws and no-nonsense attitude and one of the most ferocious heroes in the universe.
Logan and Ororo walk into Cerebro and see Charles. “You wanted to see us Chuck?” Logan asked.
“There’s this mutant in Manhattan with a the power that can take the potential energy stored in an object and convert it to kinetic energy thus “charging” that item with explosive results. I need you to find him he has information on a mutant that I need to find.” Charles informed Ororo and Logan.
“What’s he’s name Professor?” Ororo asked.
“Remy LeBeau but he also goes by Gambit.” Charles answered.
○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○
Gambit is at a bar late night drowning his sorrows in whiskey. Thinking about all the choices that led to him being here at a bar in Manhattan drinking he’s life away. He missed Y/n more then anything she was his daughter.
Gambit nod at Nick then walks over to Y/n. “I guess is the end of the road.” Gambit commented.
“Can you promise me one thing?” Y/n Asked.
“What is it?” Gambit wondered with a curious tone.
“Don’t forget about me.” Y/n said with a sad smile.
“Never in a million years.” Gambit promised in a fatherly way.
Y/n hugs Gambit like her life depended on it.
“I love you.” Y/n sniffled.
Gambit pulls back from the hug to wipe Y/n’s tears “I love you too petit.” Gambit replied.“ This isn’t goodbye you’re gonna see me.”
Gambit shakes his head not wanting to remember what he said it makes him feel like a liar. He hasn’t seen her in years apart of him wonders if she would see him would she remember him? Gambit didn’t want to think about that he didn’t want that to be a Possibility. Gambit orders and another glass of whiskey and just when the bartender hands him he’s drinking two people approach him.
“I’m in no mood to fight so whatever business you have with me can it wait.” Gambit announced.
“You Remy LeBeau?” Logan asked.
“That depends on who’s asking.” Gambit stated.
“Charles Xavier he wants to know what happened in Canada with you and a mutant.”Ororo explained.
“And who might you be?” Gambit questioned as he turns around and see Logan and Ororo.
“Storm.”
“Stormy. You know my real name but I don’t know your.”
“And that’s how we like bub.” Logan Chimed in.
“No it’s fine I’m Ororo Munroe.” Ororo told Gambit.
“I figure you were.” Gambit downs his drink then pays for it and walks out the bar with Ororo and Logan following closely.
“You asked nice now it’s my turn.”
Gambit pulls out a deck of cards and charge them. “Looks not looking for a fight ok you want to know what happened in Canada. A little girl woke up in a cell across from mine crying out for her ma. Experimented on her and made her into a powerful mutant. The black out that happened on November 18 her I no doubt.” Gambit explained. “If you came here thinking I know where your daughter is you are mistaken.”
“What’s he talking about?” Logan questioned.
“I don’t know? I have a daughter?”
“I would seem that the good old Professor did more then help you crop. Look I’m not mad at you because you’ve getting me something I never knew I wanted.” Gambit said walks away.

On a Shield monitor is a photo and record of Jane Foster. Thor looks at her, remembering all the moments they had together.
“As soon as Loki took the doctor we moved Jane Foster. We've got an excellent observatory in Traunsee. She was asked to consult there very
suddenly yesterday. Handsome fee, private plane, very remote. She'll be safe.” Agent Coulson informed Thor.
“Thank you. It's no accident Loki taking Erik Selvig. I dread what he plans for him once he's done. Erik is a good man.” Thor declared.
“He talks about you a lot. You changed his life. You changed everything around here.” Agent Coulson told Thor.
“They were better as they were. We pretend on Asgard that we're more advanced, but we...we come here battling like Bilchsteim.” Thor replied.
“Like what?” Agent Coulson asked.
“Bilchsteim? You know; huge, scaly, big antlers. You don't have those?” Thor wondered.
“Don't think so.” Agent Coulson answered.
“They are repulsive, and they trample everything in their path.” Thor walks over to the side of the ship and looks out the window, lamenting about what has happened and what may come. “When I first came to earth, Loki's rage followed me here and your people paid the price. And now again. In my youth I courted war.”
“War hasn't started yet. Nick Chimed. “You think you can make Loki tell us what the Tesseract is?
“I do not know. Loki's mind is far afield, it's not just power he craves,it's vengeance upon me. There's no pain hat would prize his need from him.” Thor explained.
“Loki is a prisoner he can’t do anything to here I won’t let it happen.” Thor proclaimed.
“Then why do I feel like he's the only person on this boat that wants to be here?” Nick questioned.
Thor doesn't answer.

When Y/n woke up from the dream world she was both relieved and upset. Loki had her flustered and that’s what made her upset. So Y/n walked to the combat room and turns one one of the drone.
“Who would you like to fight?” The drone asked.
“Surprises me.” Y/n answered.
The combat room changes into a living room of a middle class family house.
“Not the living room scenario.” Y/n protested.
The drone takes form of Sabretooth. A feral mutant named Victor Creed, his an animalistic mutant who possesses superhuman strength, mobility and cat-like claws and teeth and He’s also Wolverine's brother.
You got to be kidding me I fought him one time
Without warning Sabretooth throws Y/n crashing her coffe table in front of the sofa.
“Why is it always the table and never the sofa.”
Y/n kicks Sabretooth in the chest, knocking the big man into a table on the right wall, where he crashes into the Vases and slides to the floor in a tumult of glass shards and water. Y/n springs to her feet and swings at Sabretooth, again and again, her fist whooshing through the air. Sabretooth grabs Y/n's right wrist. With no room to dodge, Y/n drives her head forward, smashing Sabretooth's face with a glorious headbutt. As Sabretooth staggers back, Y/n picks up a broken leg from the table and points it at Sabretooth’s neck.
“You know there’s an easier way with dealing with-“Natasha turns off the simulator and the table leg disappears out of Y/n’s hand “Anger.”
“I’m Frustrated Nat. Loki knew I could read minds so he had the cube sent somewhere without him knowing.” Y/n explained.
A red glow starts to form around Y/n. Masking her worry Natasha walks over to Y/n. “You know what’s happens when that part of you takes over.”
“But what if the Phoenix taking over stops Loki and no one gets hurt?” Y/n questioned.
“Y/n there will always be collateral damage in anything that involves saving someone or saving everyone.” Natasha told Y/n.
“Your right......I’m gonna go check on Bruce and Tony in they lab.” Y/n about to walk out the room but Natasha’s voice stops her.
“I was told to find you and give you this.” Natasha hands Y/n a folded piece of paper.
“It’s your Remy LeBeau.”
“Thank you.”
“Don’t thank me thank Director Fury.”
Y/n smiles at Natasha then walks out the combat room.

Drowning (pt 1?)
“I’m taking you off the case, Xavier.”
No. No he couldn’t do that.
“What do you mean?” He couldn’t believe it. After everything he’d put into the case, after he’d gotten so close they were just going to pull him off?
“Look at you Xavier. You can barely even walk, let alone hunt down a serial killer.” Hands balled into a fist as Charles tried not to punch the desk. It was true that he’d seen better days, he’d nearly been killed by the very serial killer he’d been so close to taking down. But they were so close, how could they do that?
“No, Sir? You can’t do that. I-”
“I can and I just did Xavier. You need time to heal. Howlett has been given the case, end of story. You’ll be on desk duty until you’ve been cleared by medical AND psych.” Charles couldn’t believe it. He wanted to fight back but he was certain the chief’s decision was set in stone. There was a part of Charles that knew the Chief was right but he was too stubborn to admit it.
------
"This one's not gonna try to kill me, right?" Charles looked the android up and down skeptically. Of course the salesperson spoke highly of the android, said it would be the perfect one for his needs. That being said, the last android he'd dealt with put a bullet in his back. He didn't plan on giving another one that opportunity.
"No, of course not!" The salesperson laughed as if Charles's question was intended to be a joke and he simply quirked an eyebrow at the other. The sales person didn't know Charles's history, didn't know his purpose there. It wasn't his fault that he had no idea just how serious Charles was in the matter.
Charles looked the android over. It’s appearance leaned towards male, taller than 6 feet. “Are they all so tall?” Charles asked the salesman who shook his head.
“No but this is the only of this model we have in stock. We could special order one..er...shorter if you want?” Charles shook his head, raising a hand to dismiss the other.
“No, this one will be fine. You said my medical covers the cost?” Turning towards the salesperson, Charles let out a small sigh. The only way he was going to be cleared for active duty again was if he had the android for a partner...so to speak. It was going to be much like a service dog, only far more capable.
“Yes sir. Your insurance is great, this model is the best there is.” Charles nodded, eyes flicking towards the plaque that held the android’s information.
3R1K. Service Android.
------
Running. He was running for his life. It was behind him. He couldn’t escape. It was dark, he couldn't see where he was going. Suddenly something tangled in his legs and he was falling, only he never hit the ground. Falling, he knew it was right there, it was going to get him or he was going to just fall forever. He wasn’t sure which was more desirable.
Wake up.
It found him. Fear rattled his bones, shaking him to his very core. It found him, venom dripping from its fangs as it inched closer...closer. Suddenly a tendril shot out and he could feel pain, real pain. It dug deep into his abdomen, blood spouting from the wound. He couldn't breathe.
Wake up.
Tossing and turning, Charles was strapped to his bed, something he’d put together considering the last time he had one of these episodes he’d ended up scaring the shit out of his neighbor. It was for his own safety and those around him. He still wasn’t cleared from psych to return to active duty but that’s why the android was there.
“Wake up.” The android said, kneeling next to the bed. It’s voice was calm but firm at the same time. He couldn't hear it though, too deep in the nightmare that wracked his entire being. It wasn’t until he was suddenly stabbed that Charles stopped tossing and turning. Gasping for breath his eyes shot open and stared blankly at the ceiling. This was the worst part because now he couldn’t move. Sweat glistened on his face and neck as he stared at the ceiling. It was dark and the mind is a funny thing, playing tricks on the sleep deprived.
Shadows danced across the ceiling before the darkness took a form, the form of a beast. Long arms, glowing eyes, sharp teeth. Gasping, Charles stared in horror, unable to move. Suddenly the darkness was replaced by something a little more real. Dark hair, blue eyes, a blank expression. As if the spell was broken, Charles swung a fist at the face above him, making contact with an all too firm face that caused him to gasp in pain.
“You’re awake!” The android appeared excited, despite having just been punched in the face. Charles rolled over as he let out a hiss of pain before sitting up. “Help me get out of these…” He could have done it himself, however it was much easier telling the android what to do. 3R1K then took the restraint off of one of Charles’s wrists and Charles then reached for the other to undo it.
Climbing out of bed, on the opposite side of the bed from where the android was still kneeling, Charles headed towards the kitchen.
“I made you some tea” The android said, instantly on its feet with a cup of tea in its hands. Charles stopped where he was and looked towards the android. “I knew I shouldn’t wake you because you could be confused and hurt yourself...so...I made you tea.” It was like a lost puppy really.
“Aren’t you supposed to be in sleep mode or something?” Charles said, eyeing the tea and wondering just how good it could be if an android made it. Then again, most people had androids as house maids and nannies. Granted his android wasn’t intended to be used as a slave, honestly he’d only gotten it in hopes he’d be cleared right away. Apparently he needed to take his time with the android, he needed to learn how to properly use it. Honestly for all Charles cared it could just power off and never turn back on.
“One of the known symptoms of your PTSD is Night Terrors. I sensed your elevated heart rate and movement and came out of sleep mode.” Great. Just great. Continuing back towards the kitchen, Charles ignored the offered tea and went for something a little stronger. Tea was probably the best thing for him, calm down that elevated heart rate or whatever. However, a couple cigarettes and a glass of scotch would also do the same thing...well at least Charles hoped so.

AN: Okay so this is...super AU. I don’t think Charles and Erik are anything like the characters I’ve written here but...idk...i just have a lot of feels? Sorry if this is trash! Feel free to share/like/comment and hopefully I’ll get muse to write more! Also just a disclaimer, these gifs were not made by me! I found them around the interwebs. Also the night terror bit was from Prodigal Son and if you like the whump 10/10 would recommend watching it!
Also this was all inspired by an awesome mood board found here!

Best of Marvel: Week of October 9th, 2019
Best of this Week: Powers of X #6 - Jonathan Hickman, Pepe Larraz, R.B. Silva, Marte Gracia, David Curiel and Clayton Cowles
Moira MacTaggert just became far more powerful and dangerous than we could have imagined.
When I wrote the review for House of X #2 all those weeks back, I was under the impression that Moira MacTaggert had an overall purpose for her deaths and reincarnations in regards to making a mutant utopia that works and now I’m not so sure. I’m not saying that that isn’t the main goal, but there’s now a far more nefarious edge that’s been given to her intentions that aligns with my uneasy feeling about Charles throughout this story. I thought this was a story about mutants finally being able to flourish and slowly outnumber humanity.
But it’s about the first steps to utter annihilation.
The vision begins with him entering a secret entrance to a place called The Preserve, very reminiscent of Krakoa, at least in terms of how to enter it and the residents therein. He’s immediately attacked by a beast-like man who is then revealed to be Logan, still alive after a thousand or so years and he stops him. The Librarian makes it a point to tell Logan that he’ll never be fast enough to kill him as he can’t feel everything about to happen and stop it before Logan has a chance to react. They have a short conversation about how English is now a dead language, but the Librarian has learned it to have a conversation, not with Logan, but with Moira X.
The book begins with Moira’s 7th or 10th life (around Powers of X #1), I’m very unsure, and gives us the answer to what she showed Charles that set him on the path that we see him on now. Powers of X has been mainly focusing on a dystopian future where mutantkind has been nearly exterminated and both humanity and various forms of sentinels are flourishing. One of the main characters we’ve observed in this future is The Librarian, an evolved human acting as the receptacle of all knowledge of humanity.
That’s the first definitive answer to how powerful Moira is that we’ve gotten thus far. We know that no matter what, she will die and come back to life and something like this has been speculated, but actually just resetting the timeline, erasing EVERYTHING that came before and starting again with the wealth of a thousand plus years of knowledge is insane to me.
She emerges from the shadows and the Librarian laments that the time of the last Mutants is about to come to an end because of the Phalanx. He also muses that he will separate Moira from the rest to prevent her from dying as that will immediately reset the timeline, stopping the Phalanx and The Librarian from ever coming into existence and he doesn’t want anything to have that power over him if he’s to exit outside of reality.
The Librarian, however, also knows that he likes to observe and see the wonders of the world and asks Moira how she would prevent this future from happening if she could, taunting the pair with their “evolutionary inevitability.” He notes that Mutants have never been able to see their true enemy, always blaming the creation of machines as their ultimate downfall. The book turn everything on its head when it’s revealed that it has never been the machines, but humanity itself.
Mutants adapt traits to their environments, but that doesn’t hold a candle to genetic engineering. Think about heroes like Captain America, The Hulk, Luke Cage, all of them were just regular joe schmoes that gained insane abilities from accidents or experimentation and can rival any one mutant. If you add machines and nanotechnology to that mix, then things become even more insane as they’re constantly able to be upgraded, reprogrammed and will destroy any threat that humanity sees until eventually consuming their masters.
The Librarian turns his back to Logan and Moira and says that maybe since they have no alternative, then maybe it is also his destiny to become as a God...and then Wolverine kills him, quicker than he could have prevented. Armed with this new knowledge, Moira tells Logan to kill her and this scene is beautiful. I believe R.B. Silva draws this part of the book but the gravitas of the scene - Moira gently feeling Logan’s hand to reveal his adamantium claws, their silhouettes juxtaposed against the colors of morning light and the slight smile she gives are perfect. Marte Gracia and/or David Curiel’s colors as he impales her with his claws are immaculate as the lighting implies that life is leaving her body and sort of fits my motif of the bright morning shining on mutantkind.
Maybe there’s a reason Charles was so willing to give away the Krakoa drugs. Speculation gives way to the idea that Moira, in her infinite knowledge, found a way to imbue those drugs with DNA chemicals in them. (That is in no way supported by this story) But I would love the idea that Logan proposed, to stop post-humanism, you have to do it at the humanity part. It aligns with Charles’ overall goal of using The Five and Cerebro to bring back the 16 million mutants killed on Genosha and overpower the number of Humans in the world with far greater numbers.
With all of this, we find out that Moira’s been the one that’s had to break Charles Xavier of the notion of peaceful coexistence with humanity. It’s also revealed that because she’s gotten too close to everything, that she’s had to fake her death to operate in the shadows and let Xavier and Magneto act as figureheads to the movement when in reality, almost everything is according to her plan.
Everytime, in every scenario, humans and mutants clash and inevitably, mutants are defeated. Moira has set a rule that mutants with precognitive abilities are not allowed to come back to life because if they’re allowed to see the future and they destroy the very foundation that Krakoa is built on, then everything will have been for naught. This could also allude to the visions that Blindfold had before she killed herself in Matthew Rosenberg’s Uncanny X-Men.Charles and Erik promised Mystique that they’d bring Destiny back to life and Moira lambasts them for even promising that, but they explain that they’ve been putting her off as long as they can, but eventually they will tell the truth.
But of course, not everything is as good as we’d hope as Moira’s been hiding the biggest secret from everyone else on Krakoa aside from Charles and Erik - Mutants will always lose.
We see the celebration from House of X #6, but it’s been recontextualized. Under all of the celebration, the hope, is the feeling of dread. The feeling of utter hopelessness, knowing that it will all reach its end within a thousand years, all because of the idealism of men.
RB Silva and David Curiel have done a phenomenal job of giving this book life. From the cheery beginning of a lush and hopeful green to the ending of the dark night sky, lit by the explosions of fireworks, the flickers of hope with the true darkness behind it. Silva makes sure to draw Charles with an unearned smirk, the look of a man that’s very sure that his part of the plan will be perfect, at least after his initial spirit has been crushed. Moira has the look of determination, the kind of look only gained from centuries of experience and she maintains it even in the face of death.
House of X and Powers of X have been amazing reads thus far. I love how circular this story is, how referential it is to past history of the X-Men and paints a new ideal of the futility of mutant life as long as humanity is still around to destroy them. It separates the X-Men from the numerous other superheroes by pointing directly at the lengths humanity will go to make sure that they remain the dominant species on Earth.
Hickman has evolved these characters from just a Scottish doctor that used to care for the mutants on her island and hapless man that only wants to be peaceful - to the cold revolutionaries that want mutants to have one day in the sun before it’s ultimately ripped away again.
What does this ultimately mean for the X-Men? For Mutants in general? Hopefully we’ll see in the coming months as seven or eight new series will shine a light on what the rest of them are doing while Charles, Erik and Moira sip tea and wait for the apocalypse.
