A character in the Columbo I'm watching this evening just said "Bye, Felicia," and it was a perfectly friendly farewell to Felicia the manicurist as she was leaving the salon where she just got her hair done, many years before the iconic dismissive "Bye, Felicia" was spawned, but it did amuse me

#airy watches columbo #this is one where I sort of want the murderer to get away with it #because her brother who she killed was an emotionally and financially abusive dickhead #and she just wants to be free and have cute hair and fuck Leslie Nielsen #and I can sympathise with all of those except I don't think I'd like to fuck Leslie Nielsen #I mean given the opportunity to fuck Leslie Nielsen (given a time period in which Leslie Nielsen was alive and not yet decrepit)#there would be a certain element of 'well I should shouldn't I?'#like... that would be a story #Leslie Nielsen is in this specific weird tier with I think Adam West and I'm not sure who else #where it would just seem like... I have no actual specific desire to bang this dude #but it's sort of like when Alice Cooper had the opportunity to kill Elvis Presley and both his shoulder devil AND his shoulder angel #were telling him to do it #but then Elvis karate-chopped the gun out of his hand #what a fucking weird story #'I fucked Leslie Nielsen' is nowhere near the epicness of 'Elvis Presley invited me to try to shoot him and I was totally going to #but then he karate-chopped the gun out of my hand' I hasten to add #but still both your shoulder angel and your shoulder devil would be like 'this feels like something we should be able to say we did'#I can't explain this properly #and I still don't think I'd particularly enjoy it #now I could delete this entire train of thought and maybe that would be for the best for all concerned #but... whatever
