finally got a copy of New Champion #3! really, really loved it like Mary was great, Uncle Dudley was great, I’m really enjoying the family dynamics and the way the overall story is going!
#lowkey does anyone else think that Dr. G might be a modern version of Georgia Sivana or is that just me#because I’ve been getting that vibe since she said she studied mythology then pivoted to science after a discovery during an expedition#in issue 2#which parallels the Dr. Sivana storyline in the New 52 Shazam origin story#where he was a scientist that got into magic after his encounter with the Wizard Shazam#she also said that her now being a professor at a community college after once having a really prestigious and respected career#was due to ‘family-related choices’#and now this issue has her going on about how she’s a genius and she’s better and worthier than everyone else#and is revealed as the big bad that’s mixing science and magic#and also all this emphasis on not saying her full name and just calling her Dr. G like it’s Georgia right#my posts
