🍏Homeschool Adventures 🍏 🐳🐠Ocean Week🐳🐠 🖍Art Time🖍🐳Sensory Play With Kinetic Sand.🐳 Scotty created this cute whale 🐳 with an egg carton section, glue, marker, blue goggle eyes, sparkly pipe cleaners. He drew the mouth first, then stuck the 4 pipe cleaners in top and bent them to look like spraying water. After that he glued the tail, fins, and eyes on. A wonderful activity to work on kiddos fine motor skills, listening skills, hand-eye coordinaton, language development, creativity, and dexterity. Kinetic sand is so fun for kiddos to play with and very versatile. I added a few shells 🐚 and rocks along with some tools. Scotty really loves sensory play and especially sand. He played with it most of this morning. Helps in strengthening and building the small muscles needed to cut, write, and much more. 🍏Homeschool Adventures 🍏 🖍🖌Art and Sensory Play🐳 🦀 The Ocean Themed Play Dough Kit from @theartkit is a really artistic tactile learning activity. The set includes blue and tan colored play dough, fish, sea glass, shells, rocks, seaweed, coral, a seahorse, and more. The homemade play dough is extremely soft and pliable. It does not get dry and crumbly when playing with it. Sensory Play and Tactile Learning are important for young kiddos brain development. Tactile or kinaesthetic learning is my favorite way to teach children by involving them in hands on activities instead of worksheets and lectures. This helps build nerve connections in pathways enabling kids to finish more complex tasks. Sensory play supports fine and gross motor skills, cognitive growth, problem solving skills, language development, and social interactions. One of my favorite stores to shop at is @kohls. This time of year they always have great deals. In SC we are back to school already. I luck out here because all of the summer clothes end up on sale! We wear summer clothes 9 to 10 months of the year. I was able to get the boys these matching outfits at Kohl’s made by Carter’s. I love that Kohl’s has brands for the boys like Jumping Beans and Carter’s. I know these brands make nice quality clothing that lasts. My guys are tough on their clothes. These two may be 17 months apart but they wear the same size. During my trip to Kohl’s, I was able to get the boys new backpacks too!
