(Beau Arlen x Female Reader)
𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: after getting dumped by a guy you'd been talking to, you decided there wasn't much of a point in looking for love. You were better off just staying home and drinking while watching your comfort shows. well... perhaps the sheriff may be able to change your mind.
𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: reader gets dumped, alcohol, friends to lovers, smut MINORS DNI, Soft!Dom Beau, pet names (Sweetheart, Darlin(g) Princess, etc.) oral (fm receiving), cuffs, unprotected intimacy (reader's on birth control). Overstimulation. I think that's it???
𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞: hey guys, bare with me as this is my second smut. If anyone has any tips on how to better my writing when it comes to this sort of content please feel free to comment. Any advice is appreciated.
What was the point of getting all dolled up for someone that wasn't even going to give you the time of day?
You'd been trying to go on some dates here and there since it had been a while since you'd given it a shot. Besides, everyone deserved to have a little love in their life right? Why would you be an exception? You had plenty of things to offer. You were smart, and you were at least decent looking. Granted, you were no model or anything like that, but you didn't look like a potato grew arms and legs or anything. You took care of yourself, you were educated and had a decent job that you actually enjoyed. You thought you had a pretty good sense of humor and you at least tried to get along with everyone you met.
So what was stopping you when it came to finding a long term relationship?
About two months ago you downloaded a little dating app that Jenny Hoyt was telling you about. She recommended it because she claimed it was helping her at least talk to more people before she got back onto the dating scene. Now she was in a relationship with someone who was also a Private Investigator.
If it worked for Jenny, why couldn't it work for you?
So you gave it a shot.
A few days after you had downloaded the app you had started talking to a guy. His name was Preston. You didn’t expect anything to happen so fast and you didn’t want to get attached. Quick attachment was both dangerous and a little unrealistic, but you still found yourself getting excited to message him and you smiled every time you got a notification from him. When you two called you started to grow fond of hearing his voice before you went to bed. He had an adorable southern drawl that sounded like he was from the southern part of North Carolina and it cute whenever he said your name over the phone.
The both of you had even video called on numerous occasions so you knew what he looked like and he knew what you looked like. He was handsome and you thought the two of you would make the cutest couple if he ever asked you to be his girlfriend. Honestly you thought you could even be willing to move out of state just to be closer to Preston if things ever got serious.
The past two months flew by so fast and you were growing more and more fond of Preston. When he said he was going on a road trip and Montana was one of his stops, he said he wanted to meet you in person and that there was something he wanted to tell you. That excited you even more and you couldn't wait to find out what he wanted to say!
Preston told you when he was finally in Montana that morning and he would see you in a couple of hours. You had told him which diner to meet you at and when the time came you were practically on the edge of your seat. But as the time went on, he was about ten minutes late - which was fine, you had assumed maybe he got lost.
Then ten minutes became twenty. Then thirty. Then three hours suddenly flew by and that was when you finally got a notification on your phone.
The message Preston left you was heart breaking.
"Y/N, I'm sorry to have to do this... I wanted to tell you in person but I'm not good at this kind of thing. I just don't think we can work out. I just don't think we can really be that compatible with each other. It was nice talking to you, but it's time to move on... I'm sorry"
Before you even had the chance to type out a response, Preston had blocked you on practically everything. You couldn't even ask if there was anything you could do to at least try changing his mind.
And all of this brings you to where you are now...
With slightly puffy eyes and a reddened nose, you had just entered the closest liquor store. At least now you could see since the tears had stopped for the time being. You were roaming around the aisles, trying to decide how fucked up you wanted to get that night since you didn't have anything to do tomorrow. Then you heard a familiar voice.
"Y/N?"
You glanced over and you saw one of the sweetest women known to mankind was in the liquor store with you. Denise had the biggest smile on her face as she walked over in your direction, but her smile faltered the closer she got and her brows knitted with concern. That was your sign she must've noticed you'd been crying in your car for the past thirty minutes.
"Awe, sweetie.. you look terrible! Did something happen? Is there anything I can do to help?" She asked and you shook your head a little.
"Thanks, but no ma'am. It's just some allergies." You lied, though you doubted it was a believable story.
Nevertheless, the assistant at Dewell and Hoyt Private Investigations pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose before adjusting her cardigan a little but the look of concern never left her face. You had told her you were talking with someone on the phone, so she knew you had some little app like Jenny had and Denise had been so excited for you. It had been a while since she'd seen you happy over a boy.
"Allergies... Sweetie if it's allergies, I don't think those wine coolers will do the trick if it's an allergic reaction to a fractured heart." She frowned and you could feel your eyes water again and you looked down at the wine coolers you'd been looking at when she noticed you.
"Recommend anything a little stronger?" You asked, trying not to have your voice crack.
Denise frowned a little, but she took you by the hand and the two of you walked over to a different section.
"What are you doing here anyways, Denise? I didn't take you for a drinker." You said and the woman smiled a little.
"I was just picking up wine to cook with. Then maybe another bottle to have a glass with a good book." She admitted, causing you to grin a little.
When the two of you made it to the selection of vodkas, you started looking at the different brands before you picked up a bottle of Absolut Vanilla and you looked over at Denise.
"I hope your cooking goes well. You'll have to tell me what you made next time I come over to the PI's office and see you." You said and Denise nodded.
"Just make sure you message me when you get home. The waterworks is dangerous for driving too." She warned and you chuckled a little before you nodded. Even when your heart was broken, this woman could still somehow make you smile.
"I will." You promised.
"The ache will pass, sweetie. There's plenty of people out there waiting for the right one, even some locals." She said and she gave you a soft hug, which you returned. Then when she let go, she gave your arm a little reassuring squeeze before she walked off to the wine section.
As for you, you went to the register and bought the bottle you wanted before you walked out of the store, paper bag in hand. Finally, you could go home and drink in peace and try to forget all about this disaster, forget about love altogether even.
Beau was sitting down at is desk, gaze downcast at the paperwork he'd been filling out related to an investigation that's been closed that afternoon. It didn't help much that his back ached because he had to chase a perp on foot that afternoon since he was a suspect for a different case.
Just as he closed the file, Beau heard his phone beginning to ring. He groaned a little to himself before he took his phone and looked at the caller ID only to grin when he realized it was Denise. He answered the call and lifted the phone to his ear.
"Denise! I thought you'd be at home relaxing, what are you doing calling me so late?" Beau asked as he looked at the computer screen in front of him to look at the rest of the work he needed to do.
"Hey Beau, on your way home tonight can you do me a favor? It's about Y/N."
Once Beau heard your name slip through the speaker he stopped what he was doing so he could pay attention to Denise.
"What's going on with her? Is she alright?"
"Calm down, Cowboy. She's okay. I just need you to do a little wellness check on your way home tonight."
Beau looked at the time on the computer screen and he realized he was about to head home anyway after printing off some work he could take with him, "Looks like you caught me at a good time. I'm about to head out in a few minutes anyway. When did you last hear from Y/N?"
"Oh just a few minutes ago here at the liquor store. I was picking up some cooking wine when I saw her and Beau.. she really needs someone to talk to. She wasn't hysterical or anything, but she does seem to have an easier time talking with you about things." Beau rubbed the back of his neck at Denise's words.
"I'm not sure what gave you that idea." Beau chuckled a little but Denise scoffed.
"Oh don't give me that. You and I both know better than that." She said.
"If you say so. But I can stop by before heading home tonight." The sheriff promised with one last chuckle.
"Thanks Beau. I knew I could count on you. I'll talk to you soon, 'kay?" And with that, Denise hung up the phone.
Beau shifted his eyes at a picture on his desk. It was an image of you, him, Denise, Jenny and Cassie. The five of you had taken that after a state fair the previous year. He'd originally gone alone that year since he wanted to find something to do that night since it had been your day off. Then he ran into you since you were by yourself too. Then somewhere along the way you both had ran into Cassie, Jenny and Denise and the five of you spent that evening together.
You had always been sweet to him ever since he came into town. The both of you hit it off pretty well and he'd ended up inviting you to several movie nights whether it was with just him or if it was with Jenny, Cassie and Denise included. And all of this was while Beau was here as a temporary sheriff, but the more he was around you, the more Beau was finding a reason to stay here indefinitely.
Beau had to admit, he had a soft spot for you. Well, maybe it was more than just a little spot but he didn't think you'd be interested so it's just better if he put those feelings on a shelf. And if Denise called him to do a wellness check on you, something must've been wrong.
Beau got up from his desk after he'd started printing off whatever he needed to and he shut off the computer. Once he had everything together, he grabbed his jacket and paperwork that was now in a folder and he was out of the door before he made it to his car.
Finally, after leaving the station Beau made it to your house. He parked the car and got out before he started looking around the premises just incase something was wrong. Nothing seemed to be out of place, and there didn't seem to be any red flags when it came to the exterior of the house but he wanted to be thorough. When he walked up the porch he noticed the door was closed so it's not like anyone broke in from what he noticed. So Beau lifted a hand and gently knocked on the door.
He heard the sound of a TV going as well as a thump and Beau heard you curse from the other side of the door. A couple of seconds later the door opened up and Beau saw you rubbing your shin a little before standing upright. You were wearing nothing but a hoodie and some biker shorts, your hair was in a messy bun and he could tell you were trying to recover from crying, though you'd taken your makeup off already so the mascara wouldn't run down your face.
"You okay, Darlin?" Beau asked and he caught a whiff of some alcohol on your person.
"Yeah, just hit my shin getting up from the couch. Something I can help you with Beau?" You asked as you leaned your head against the door.
Beau noticed your cheeks were a little red but you were still able to annunciate your words. So maybe you were a little buzzed since you didn't seem to be drunk at the moment. You still had your senses about you, at least he hoped so.
"Um.. Denise asked me to check up on you. She seemed worried about you. Is... it okay if I come in?" Beau asked and you nodded a little before letting go of the door and you started walking back over to the couch.
"She really shouldn't be worried. I'm alright." Beau heard you say as he shut the door. Then he walked over and sat down beside you on the couch.
"Sweetheart, a person that's 'okay' doesn't just show up teary eyed at a liquor store intent on drinking alone." He replied and he turned the bottle around to take a look at what you were drinking.
"And drinking vanilla vodka no less. I might've gone for whisky myself." From the corner of his eye, Beau watched you shrug a little. Then he sat up again and looked at you.
"So... you gonna tell me what's going on?"
You sighed a little as you took another sip of the vodka before setting your glass down. You stared blankly at the TV that was just playing an episode of Friends since you weren't sure what else to put on.
"It's stupid. You'll think it was a waste of time for Denise to even have told you to come and check on me." You said and Beau put his hand on one of yours, covering the top of it.
"It's not a waste of time. Whatever you're going through, it matters. No matter how big or small the issue is, your feelings matter. You don't need to invalidate yourself because you think it's a waste of someone's time."
You looked at him, not sure why he felt the need to tell you something like that. But whatever the reason, you could tell Beau was being genuine with you. Then again, you couldn't exactly recall a time when he ever lied to you about anything.
You sighed a little and you looked down at your phone that was laying on the coffee table next to the bottle of Absolut. The screen was black since you'd turned it off after letting Denise know you were home. Would Beau really care if you told him everything? Might as well tell him since he was here.
"It's just... I should have known dating apps were stupid and this guy was too good to be true." You said, then you proceeded to explain why you got the app in the first place and the ordeal with Preston that evening.
"Wait, if he wasn't going to tell you in person, why bother coming to Montana at all on his road trip?" Beau asked and you shook your head.
"I don't know...."
Beau softened at the defeated tone in your voice. He reached out and wrapped an arm around your shoulders and pulled you close to him. You didn't resist and Beau felt you relax against his touch as he placed a soft kiss on your head.
"I'm just so tired of being alone.... This isn't where I wanted to be in life right now." You said.
"And where did you think you'd be?" Beau asked as his fingers started running through your hair softly as he massaged your scalp.
"I thought that if I wasn't married by now... I'd at least be in a serious relationship with the right guy. Like yeah I'm independent, I have a great job and it's not bad living by myself. It's not like I desperately need to have a man in my life but.. being alone gets tiring. It just sucks after a while." You began.
"It gets too quiet in the house sometimes and it's just nice to have someone to come home to. It's nice to actually feel wanted by someone. I thought I'd be in a relationship with a guy that if I'm home before he is after work, I could be in the kitchen doing whatever task and he'd be the guy to surprise me out of the blue with some flowers, maybe he'd turn off the water if I'm in the middle of dishes and he'd pull me into his arms and dance with me right there in the kitchen just because we could." You continued and you could feel your eyes starting to water up and burn with tears again.
"But that shit's not in the cards for me and I get it now. I must be defective or something." You scoffed and got up from leaning against Beau, rubbing one of your eyes with the palm of one of your hands. Then you reached over to grab your glass again but then a large hand grabbed your wrist, preventing you from drinking anymore.
You turned your head to look over at Beau, who's gaze seemed to soften and he pulled your wrist softly which caused you to stop reaching over for the vodka. Then you felt him let go of your wrist and he reached up before he started wiping whatever tears you'd missed from your cheeks.
"You aren't defective. Far from it." Beau spoke with such sincerity that you almost wanted to believe it.
"You're saying that because we're friends..." You rolled your eyes and looked away at the TV screen.
Beau's jaw tensed and he cupped your face in his hands before he made you look at him again.
"I'm not just saying that. You should know by now that I wouldn't lie to you." he insisted and you looked down at the space in between you.
"Then what's wrong with me?" You whispered and closed your eyes, doing your best to stop anymore tears from forming. You were so tired of crying, tired of feeling this way.
Beau watched you divert your gaze away again but this time he didn't force your gaze to look at him. Instead, he carefully pulled you into him again and let your head go back to his shoulder.
"Nothing is wrong with you, Y/N. I hate that some random asshole on a stupid app made you feel this way. Any guy would be lucky to be with you. It would be a privilege to be with someone like you. You have so much to offer, and if what's-his-face couldn't see that then all it means is he's to ignorant to realize what he walked out on, or he's clearly incapable of seeing a good thing even when it's right in front of him like other people." Beau said as his hand rested against the back of your head.
"I just feel like whatever person I'm supposed to be with is just stuck in a different timeline. I can't find him no matter how hard I try." You sighed, but this time your voice didn't sound quite as broken which was something you were grateful for.
"Maybe.. maybe you just need to look in a couple of different places. Or maybe..." Beau trailed off, nearly hesitant.
"Maybe..?"
"Maybe... the sort of person you're looking for might be closer to you than you think they are."
You slowly lifted your head from Beau's shoulder and you looked at the sheriff. Your eyes met with his and there was a lingering silence between you before you found yourself looking at his lips. Would it be wrong of you to wonder what his lips would feel like against yours?
You looked up into his eyes again and placed a soft hand on his chest, "Maybe... you could help me look in the right places for that person."
Beau nearly couldn't believe his ears, and the way you were looking at him almost made him wonder if he was dreaming this up in this head. Maybe he was at the station again slumped over sleeping at his desk or something.
The moment you started getting closer, Beau relaxed and put a hand on your cheek, "I'll show you more than that, Darlin... only if you let me."
After you nodded, Beau slowly leaned in before his lips barely grazed over yours, giving you a chance to pull away if you had second thoughts. You, on the other hand, put a hand on his cheek before deepening the kiss and let him know there wouldn't be second thoughts.
The kiss started sweet, slow and gentle. Beau was so careful with you, almost like he was scared he'd break you but he loved the way your lips felt against his own. You loved how sweet Beau was with you in this moment and you couldn't help but melt all because of a kiss. You didn't know how long you've been kissed, but this felt more right than anything you'd done before. But it wasn't long before the swirling feeling in your stomach made you want a little more.
With your lips still attached, you slowly moved to where one thigh went over Beau's lap and the next thing you knew, you were on top of him. He placed one of his large hands on your thigh while the other was behind your neck as if trying to pull you closer into the kiss. You could tell he was still trying to be careful and not push any boundaries, so you reached down and moved his hand from your thigh and pulled it up to where it was on your hip and you slid forward into him so where both your cores touched.
Beau let out a soft groan against your lips before he pulled away and he looked up at you again. You looked down at him, confusion on your face.
"Is something wrong?" You asked.
"Nothing's wrong, Sweetheart. It's just that.. you've been drinking and I don't want this to turn into something you regret later on. Are you sure this is something you want?" Beau asked.
"Beau, it takes a lot more than a glass and a half of vodka to make me delirious and incapable of making decisions with a sound mind. You caught me before I got to that point and I'm okay right now. Whatever happens tonight... I won't regret it. It'll be a sober choice so there's nothing for you to feel bad about. I promise." You reassured in a whisper, then you leaned in and kissed his cheek.
After that, Beau seemed to be a little less tense beneath your touch now that he knew you were sober enough to consent to whatever would happen next. The last thing he wanted to do was take advantage of you and make you uncomfortable. Beau leaned down and placed a soft kiss on your shoulder before he started kissing up your neck gently. He smiled against your skin at the way you'd giggle at the way his beard would tickle your neck.
"Ticklish, are we?" He asked and you blushed a little.
"Maybe just a little sensitive." You confessed and Beau hummed a little before he leaned in and kissed you again.
This time, with this kiss Beau seemed to have more certainty in his actions. He was still just as gentle as before but this time it was like he had a little more ambition. It was more than a chaste kiss to start. He tilted his head and you could feel the tip of his tongue lightly graze your bottom lip as if asking permission to slip inside. As soon as your lips parted, you felt his tongue slip past and he kissed you deeply like it was his personal mission to take your breath away.
As he kissed you, you could feel your heartbeat hasten. Goosebumps were starting to form on your arms with the adrenaline you were beginning to feel. You hadn't been kissed like this in so long that you'd practically forgotten what it felt like. Your cheeks were heating up and your hands went to the back of his neck, fingers threading through his hair at the base of his neck.
Beau loved the way your fingers felt in his hair. If he could melt in your arms he could right then and there and he didn't want this feeling to go away. You kissed him back with passion and he was glad things didn't seem to be one sided at least for tonight. You deserved to be loved, deserved to be shown just how beautiful you were.
He slowly let one of his hands slip beneath your hoodie and he realized you weren't wearing a shirt underneath. The second he felt your skin beneath his fingertips he felt like he could get lost in you. What caught him by surprise though, was when you wrapped your pretty lips around his tongue and sucked on it softly. It was like you were trying to make him lose all the self control he had.
Beau placed his hand on the small of your back and pulled you closer to him, letting your cores touch again that way you could feel exactly what you were doing to him. You moaned against his mouth and around his tongue before he pulled away from your lips.
"Rock..."
You were just as breathless as Beau was but all it took was that simple word and you knew exactly what he wanted you to do. You slowly began to move your hips and you could feel the hardness beneath his jeans against the thin material of your biker shorts. You were already beginning to feel his affect over you but this took things to a different level as you felt him against your clothed core. He already felt so hard and so big and rocking against him like this was enough to drive you crazy.
Your thighs were already beginning to shake when Beau put both his hands on your hips and pulled you down herder against him. You moaned softly as he moved your hips and you felt even more of him and once Beau hit a certain spot, you gripped down on his covered shoulders.
"B-Beau..."
"Steady now, Sweetheart. Keep going. You can do this." He said sweetly though his movements were getting faster and he started to move his hips up into you.
You were beginning to moan a little louder as you continued to let Beau rub your cunt against his bulge and your thighs were shaking a little more and you gripped down harder on his jacket. Your movements were becoming more erratic and you were so close to coming undone.
"Beau, I'm-"
"Go ahead, Princess. Don't hold back."
As soon as he said those words, you came undone in your biker shorts. You could feel the wetness soaking the clothes between your legs as your core throbbed around nothing. Your legs shook against him, but Beau let his hands gently rub over your thighs in a soothing fashion.
"I'm so sorry... that's so embarrassing." You said and hid your face in your hands, causing Beau to chuckle before he took your hands away from your face and kissed your palms.
"Don't hide from me, Y/N. And don't be sorry... that was perfect. You did amazing for me." You nodded a little but you still felt flustered.
"Where's your bedroom, Sweetheart?" He asked as he placed a soft kiss on your temple.
"U-Upstairs. First room." You stammered, though you were getting the feeling that he was far from done with you.
Beau lifted you up in his arms with little to no effort at all and he carried you up to your bedroom. He felt your soft lips against his neck and he smiled to himself. He had no clue you could be adorable in times like this, and he couldn't wait to make tonight all about you.
Once he stepped into your bedroom, he walked over to your mattress and carefully laid you down. When you let go and he got a better look at you, he swore his heart was about to leap from his chest. Your cheeks were dusted with pink and your lips were swollen from his kisses. You were so cute like this.
"Would it... be okay if I undressed you, Darlin?" Beau asked.
"Only if I get to see you too." You compromised and Beau smiled as you sat up.
You reached up and started with the sheriff's jacket. You slid it off his shoulders and Beau tossed it onto the floor somewhere. Then you started to unbutton his flannel shirt only to reveal his chest but before you could slide it off his shoulders and get a better look, Beau took your hands to stop you.
"Your turn, Sweetheart." He said and you nodded a little.
Beau reached down and carefully gripped the bottom of your hoodie before he slowly began to pull it up. Once the hoodie was over your head, you could feel your body grow cold but you quickly crossed your arms over your chest covering them up since you didn't have a bra under your hoodie. The next thing you knew, Beau held one of your hands but didn't pull them away from your chest - instead he gave you a soft gaze.
"Y/N... I told you already. Don't hide from me." He said as he let his thumb graze over your knuckles.
Your cheeks flushed again but you nodded a little before you slowly pulled your arms down from your chest so he could get a better look at you.
"God... you're so pretty, Sweetheart." Beau said when he saw you. He couldn't get enough of you when he saw you like this. You were so breathtaking and he wanted to make sure you knew that.
He leaned down and you laid down on the bed as he started to hover over you. But when Beau leaned down next to your ear, you bit your lip at the way his breath felt against your skin as he spoke.
"If you hide from me again, then I'll have to do something about those pretty little hands of yours." He said as he kissed your temple again.
That statement alone made you get butterflies in your stomach. A part of you couldn't help but be a little curious about what he would do but you wanted to comply. When he pulled away, you looked up at him and you swore you were seeing some kind of vision above you.
Beau hadn't turned the light on when he brought you into the bedroom, and the curtains of your window were opened so the moonlight was hitting him just right and he looked absolutely divine hovering over you like this.
"Fuck.." You breathed out as you took in the sight of him, just for Beau to chuckle.
Beau bit down on his bottom lip before he started to take off his flannel shirt since you'd unbuttoned it already. You're eyes widened when he slipped the material off his shoulders and tossed it somewhere with the jacket. You had no idea he would look this good. His top half was a sight to see and you couldn't believe this was real. You slowly reached up and let your fingertips touch his chest before it trailed down his abs.
"God I must be hallucinating this whole thing." You said and Beau chuckled a little before he leaned down and kissed your forehead.
"Believe me, you aren't." Beau promised before he pulled away from you and he slowly started to kiss down your neck again.
"You're so beautiful, Y/N... gorgeous in every way." Beau whispered between kisses.
You could feel his kisses grow hot and the feeling of his teeth against your skin made you feel almost ecstatic. His mouth continued to trail down your body and the next thing you knew, you felt his hot breath over one of your breasts, causing you to shiver before his lips wrapped around one of your nipples, making your breath get caught in your throat. Then, Beau's other hand glided up the skin of your stomach before it cupped your other breast in his palm. He gave your mound a little squeeze before he took your erect nipple between his fingers and pinched it softly, causing you to moan his name.
With every movement of his mouth and every pinch he gave, you could feel yourself losing your mind. You squeezed your thighs together as he switched and gave your opposite breast his attention. His tongue swirled around your nipple. Both nipples were growing hard beneath his touch because of his actions and soft little whimpers were making their way past your lips.
"Beau.. y-your mouth feels so good." You breathed out as one of your hands went to the back of his head in an attempt to bring him closer.
After a few moments, Beau moved away from your chest and his kisses trailed down your stomach before he stopped. His hands were at the waistband of your biker shorts and he looked up at you.
"You doing okay, Princess? Do you want to keep going?" He asked and you nodded instantly.
"God yes..."
Beau smirked up at you and the moment you saw it, it about killed you. Even his smirk could make you weak in the knees.
Beau found it adorable how easy it was to get you flustered. You were so adorable like this and he loved the affect he had over you. He bit down on his lip as you slowly lifted your hips and he tugged down your shorts, revealing your glistening core that was still wet from your previous high.
Before he could get a good look at it though and spread your legs, your hands flew down to cover them up again, making Beau glare up at you.
"What did I tell you about that?" He asked you and you bit your lip.
"S-Sorry, I couldn't help it." You admitted but Beau shook his head a little.
"I told you, I'd have to do something about those hands if you covered yourself like that again, Princess." He reminded as he reached behind his back.
"Give me your wrists." He said in a way that told you this wasn't up for debate and he pulled out his handcuffs that had been in the back pocket of his jeans.
Flustered and speechless, you nodded. When you offered your wrists to Beau, he took them and put the cuffs on one of your wrists, looped it around a part of your headboard before hooking the other cuff around your second wrist, leaving you helpless with both your arms above your head so you couldn't try hiding yourself from him again.
"How does that feel, Princess. Are they too tight?" He asked and you shook your head.
"N-No. They feel fine." You promised.
"Good." He nodded a little before he went back to your lower half.
Then, he parted your thighs so he could get a better look at you. Your folds seemed to drip with your arousal and release and Beau couldn't help but ache in his jeans at the sight of you like this.
"So damn stunning..." He breathed out as he slowly kissed from one of your knees down your thigh. Then, he started to nip at your skin the closer he got to your core.
Beau settled between your legs and draped your thighs over his shoulders before he let his tongue gently glide through your folds as slow as possible. He groaned at the tase of you and his length twitched in his pants because of it. He didn't think he'd ever tasted something so heavenly and your moans sounded so pretty in his ears as he continued to lick through your folds.
You were trying your damn best not to lose control of yourself, but Beau's mouth did absolute wonders on your body. His tongue went through your folds so effortlessly and it felt like pure ecstasy. Without even realizing it, you were beginning to raise your hips in an effort to get closer to his mouth. But the moment he found that special little bundle of nerves, it was over.
"Fuck, Beau." You moaned as he wrapped his lips around your clit and sucked on it.
Then, you started feeling something poking at your entrance. With a slow thrust, while Beau's mouth was working its magic, he took his finger and slipped inside of your core with ease. He curled up his finger and found your spot almost instantly.
The way he moved his finger was so blissful mixed with the work of his tongue. You could feel his beard scraping between your thighs, making them burn in the best way possible. After a while, Beau slipped a second finger into you, making your core stretch around his fingers. You moaned softly and your hands turned into fists above your head. You wished you had listened so you could run your fingers through Beau's hair.
"Beau-fuck.. please, d-don't stop." You pleaded and when you tried to raise your hips again, Beau took his free hand and pinned you down to the mattress and started to devour you as if he'd never get another chance.
Beau couldn't get enough of the way you sounded, couldn't get enough of your taste. If he could, he would absolutely drown himself in you. He slipped a third finger inside you and you moaned even louder for him. He could feel your legs beginning to shake around his head as his fingers curled and hit that sweet spot of yours again.
He pulled his lips away from your clit and he looked up at you, seeing you struggling against your restraints. Your cheeks were so red and your face looked so adorable like this when you felt good from just his fingers alone. He loved watching the way your body was squirming against him, watching the way you were moving your hips into his hand but then he started to feel your walls clench around his three fingers.
"B-Beau, I'm c-close.."
"Go ahead Princess. Relax and let it happen. Let go of yourself on my fingers." He encouraged as he kept his pace steady.
Then, Beau watched in awe at the way you came undone all over his fingers. He slowed the pace of his hand and used the other to rub your thighs soothingly before he finally pulled his fingers out of your sensitive core.
"You did so well for me, Beautiful." Beau whispered before he leaned down and placed a soft kiss on your lips.
You hummed into his mouth, not caring that you could taste yourself on his lips. His kisses were so addicting and if you could, you wondered if you could kiss him forever.
Unfortunately you couldn't find that out because Beau had pulled away from your lips and when you opened your eyes, you realized he was grabbing a key from his pocket. He reached up and unlocked the cuffs, releasing your wrists and without hesitation you grabbed him by the back of his neck and pulled him down to kiss him again.
He gasped in surprise but he relaxed against your touch and closed his eyes again. He let his clean hand cup your cheek before he pulled away and he looked down at you.
You already looked so worn out in the prettiest way possible and he almost didn't want to ask if you wanted to keep going because he didn't want you to feel uncomfortable. But when Beau felt your fingers hook themselves around his belt loops to pull him closer, he knew he needed to say something.
"Y/N... if you let me do this I can't turn back." Beau warned you, but you reached your hand up and caressed his cheek.
"Who says I want you to turn back? I want you to keep going, Beau. I trust you." You whispered and moved a stray hair away from his face.
Beau smiled softly before he leaned down and let your noses nuzzle together in a little eskimo kiss before he pecked your lips before he pulled away. Then he reached down to start unbuckling his belt, but that was when he felt your smaller hands over his own.
"Let me do it." You told him as you sat up.
Beau bit down on his lip as he took his hands away and let you start to unbuckle his belt. Your hands were so delicate and he smiled to himself as he watched you start to unbutton his jeans and unzip them. Your reaction when you slid his jeans down was priceless. He didn't think you could possibly get any redder until you saw what was under his jeans.
"You're cute when you're flustered, you know that Sweetheart?" He asked and you bit your lip and looked up at him again.
"Are you sure it'll fit?" You asked.
After all, you had never seen a shape that large even if it was covered up by his boxers. You had to admit it was a little intimidating, but then you felt Beau move a strand of hair from your face.
"It it ever gets to be too much, you can always tell me to slow down or stop." Beau promised and you nodded a little.
"Lay back down for me, Princess." He said and you did so obediently before he started hovering over you.
"Do you have any protection, Sweetheart?" He asked and you shook your head a little.
"I'm on the pill. You'll be okay." You insisted and he nodded a little.
You gazed at him as he started to slide his boxers down and finally revealed himself. You gulped harshly, unsure if you'd ever seen anything quite like him. Scratch that, you were positive you hadn't seen a man quite that size.
Beau hovered over you again and you spread your legs out for him. As he lowered his hips into yours, your breath got caught in your throat again. His shaft slid between your folds and it felt so good against your clit. Your eyes fluttered shut as you focused on the feeling of him rubbing against you and your hands roamed up from his forearms up to his shoulders before you wrapped them around his back.
"Beau.. don't be a tease. Please.." You whispered your plea as you kissed his collar bone.
Beau smiled to himself when he heard your soft spoken words before he nodded a little. After that, he took his length and carefully pushed the tip against your entrance. Then he finally pushed it in and your walls wrapped around him in the best way possible. Beau let out a groan at the way you felt around him, so warm and tight despite having stretched you out.
"Fuck, Y/N... you're so damn perfect." He breathed out.
You moaned in pleasure at the stretch. He already felt so good inside you and you loved the way he sounded because of you. You didn't think you were capable of making someone feel this good, but it felt so reassuring. Rejuvenating even.
After a couple of seconds, Beau slid more of himself inside you and you bit your lip to prevent yourself from screaming at the pleasure of it all. You could already fill him so deep inside of you and you knew this was past the point of return for the both of you. You reached beside your head and gripped onto the sheets of your mattress as you tried to adjust to his size again.
The moment Beau finally pushed the rest of himself into you though, you white-knuckled the sheets and cried out his name. This feeling was so much more than you could fathom and you felt breathless with the pleasure of having Beau filling you up to the brim like this. You didn’t think you’d ever felt this stuffed in your life.
“H-Holy shit…” Beau grunted, loving the way you sounded as he filled you completely to the brim. When he looked down at you, he gulped harshly at the sight of a bulge showing in your stomach.
“Fuck, Y/N, you’re so beautiful.” He said and he lifted a hand before he pressed it down against your stomach. The both of you moaned in response to the way that pressure felt and Beau sure that if he wasn’t careful, he’d lose it right there.
Beau leaned down before he started to kiss your cheek, causing you to relax your grip on the sheets and he felt your gentle hands on his arms. Then he felt you wrap your legs around his waist, pulling him closer to you. He placed one hand on your thigh and his other arm slid behind your back and pulled you closer into himself. Your chest was pressed against his and he could feel the way you hid your face into his neck as he stayed still inside you, letting you adjust to everything.
“Are you feeling okay, Princess?” He asked you softly, you nodded into his neck in response.
“Is it alright if I move?” Another nod came from you and he slowly began to move his hips.
Beau heard the sweetest sounds escape your lips as you whimpered softly with his slow movements. The friction between the two of you felt so good and he didn’t remember the last time he had felt so good with a woman. He continued to move slowly against you and he felt the way you started to grip at his shoulders. He hissed a little at the way your nails began to dig into his skin and he started to gradually move faster.
“Beau.. I-I need you to go faster.” You begged and Beau grunted deeply.
He paused for a moment before he parted your thighs from around his waist and pressed your knees against your chest. You screamed at the deeper angle and he started to move his hips faster. The sounds in the room were wet and lewd. When Beau looked down he could see you practically creaming around his cock. His length was covered with your slick and it was beginning to leak onto the sheets.
Your heart was racing and you felt like you were losing your mind. You walls were clenching around Beau’s length and you swore you were about to come undone again. The pit in your stomach was starting to tighten again and you felt like you were about to cum for a third time and you felt so sensitive as it is.
Beau felt beads of sweat start to roll down his temple as he continued to move. He bit down on his lip at the way your walls clenched around him so tightly. He could feel your body trembling beneath him before he started to slam himself into you again. He started thrusting even faster, deeper and Beau couldn’t restrain himself anymore.
“God, Y/N… you’re too fucking good.” Beau cursed and he took one of your hands before placing it beside your head, holding your wrist to the mattress.
“Beau, I can’t h-hold it. C-Close.” You warned and Beau nodded.
“Can’t hold it either. Give it to me, Sweetheart. Need you to come undone on me like.” Beau said though his voice was strained.
You listened to his words and you focused on the way Beau pounded into you. You focused on how deep he felt inside you, how he hit even the deepest parts of you that made you see stars. The next thing you knew, Beau had his fingers on your clit again rubbing harsh circles against those nerves. It didn’t take long after that for you to arch your back and you came harder than you had before. You screamed out his name and you swore you could even see white for a moment.
Beau watched as you came to your release. It had to be the sexiest thing he had ever seen. When your back arched he looped his arm behind you again and held you close to his chest as he rode out your high while you shook in his arms. He felt something warm spray onto his abdomen and he let out a curse. When he looked down he realized there was a clear liquid between you two and that was when Beau realized you’d squirted onto him.
“Holy shit…” He breathed out. He didn’t know he’d made you feel that good but he loved the way he could make you feel if this was the reaction he’d get.
You opened your eyes and slowly looked up at Beau through your lashes. Then you lifted a hand and caressed his cheek.
“Beau.. N-Need you to cum inside me. Please.” You begged and Beau was already so close as it is.
Beau was so hard that it physically ached and he didn’t know how much more he could take. But when he heard those words escape your lips, it was over for him. He took your hand away from his cheek and pinned it down to the bed again before he intertwined your fingers with his.
“Fuck, Y/N. You’re so perfect. Shit..” Beau cursed as he squeezed your hand tightly.
After a few more thrusts, Beau finally released into you. You shuddered against him as he filled you up with his release and you could even feel his release coming out and running down your ass onto the sheets.
Both of you stayed still while Beau was still buried deep inside of you, You carefully leaned up and started to place soft kisses on his shoulders before making your way up his neck. Your free hand was lightly scratching his back with your fingernails in a soothing manner to try and calm him down from his own high while he still held your other one beside your head.
Beau trembled beneath your touch, feeling more sensitive than he’d expected to be. Then again, it had been a while since he’d slept with someone too so maybe you both needed a night like this more than you thought you did.
“Thank you…” Your voice broke Beau from his thoughts.
He hummed a little as his brows narrowed before he looked down at you.
“What are you thanking me for?” He asked softly.
“For checking on me tonight. For making me feel like I can be worth something to someone.” You whispered and Beau softened before he took the hand that was beside your head and pulled it between you two. He flipped your hand and kissed the back of it, never breaking eye contact with you.
“I told you.. all you had to do was look in the right places.” He said and smiled down at you. Then he leaned down and kissed your lips softly. Then he started to pull away and when he was about to pull out of you, you wrapped your legs around him again.
“Don’t go just yet.” You whispered.
“Y/N, I won’t be going anywhere. But I do need to clean you up and get you into some clean sheets before you get some rest.” Beau said and you hummed softly.
“That can wait a few minutes… couldn’t it?” You asked and Beau smiled softly.
“I suppose it could.” He replied and he leaned down, placing soft kisses on your own shoulder.
“For the record… dating apps are over rated. You could do so much better than total strangers.” Beau said softly between kisses.
“I think I may have found better.” You whispered and Beau lifted his head and he smiled down at you.
He leaned down to kiss you once more and you knew that you could trust Beau with everything. You wondered if maybe he could be everything you wanted, and needed. Maybe this was the opened door to something you had always dreamed of and Beau was right. You just needed help finding where to look.

Love Beyond the Badge ❤️
Beau Arlen x y/n
No warnings needed just pure fluff! 🥰
The sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky with strokes of orange and purple as Beau Arlen leaned against the hood of his truck 'pedro', the metal cool under his arms. The day had been long, the kind that tested a man’s spirit, and it was in these quiet moments that his thoughts drifted to his deputy, Y/N.
He heard the crunch of gravel and turned to see Y/N approaching, her silhouette framed by the fading light. “Evening, Sheriff,” she greeted, her voice steady as ever.
“Evening, Deputy,” Beau replied, pushing off from the truck. He hesitated, a battle raging within. The dream he had the night before flashed in his mind, vivid and stirring. It was unprofessional, perhaps even foolish, but the truth clawed at him with an urgency he couldn’t ignore.
“Y/N, can we talk? Off the record?” he asked, his tone more serious than she was used to.
She nodded, curiosity lighting her eyes. “Of course, Beau. What’s on your mind?”
He took a deep breath, the words he’d rehearsed suddenly clumsy on his tongue. “I had a dream last night,” he started, “about you. It was… it was more real than any dream I’ve ever had. And when I woke up, I realized that it wasn’t just a dream. It was how I truly felt.”
Y/N’s eyes widened slightly, a mix of surprise and something else Beau couldn’t quite place. “Beau, I—”
“I know we have our duties, our responsibilities,” he continued, cutting across the space between them. “But I can’t shake this feeling. It’s not just respect or camaraderie. It’s more than that, and I think… I think you might feel it too.”
There was a pause, the world holding its breath. Then, softly, Y/N spoke. “I do. I’ve felt it for a while now, but I never thought—”
“That it could be mutual?” Beau finished for her, a small, hopeful smile tugging at his lips.
She nodded, stepping closer. “We have a lot to figure out, Beau. But yes, it’s mutual.”
The confession hung in the air, a fragile truth that promised to change everything. Beau reached out, his hand brushing against hers, an electric connection that felt like the first piece of a new beginning.
Flashback:
The air was crisp, carrying the scent of pine and the promise of winter. Beau Arlen had been the sheriff of Helena for just over a year now, a position he took with a mix of pride and solemnity. The town was small, but it had its troubles, and Beau was determined to be the steadfast hand that guided it.
It was on a day like any other that he first met Y/N. He was at the local diner, a steaming cup of coffee in hand, when the bell above the door jingled. In walked a young woman, her posture confident, her gaze scanning the room like she was taking in every detail.
Beau’s curiosity was piqued. He watched as she approached the counter, exchanged a few words with the owner, and then turned to survey the diner. Their eyes met, and Beau felt a jolt of recognition, though they had never met before.
“Can I help you, ma’am?” Beau called out, standing up.
She walked over, her hand extended. “I’m Y/N, the new deputy in town. I was told I could find Sheriff Arlen here.”
Beau took her hand, the firm handshake speaking volumes of her character. “That would be me,” he said with a smile. “Welcome to Helena.”
They sat down, and over cups of coffee, they talked about law, order, and the quiet life of a small town. Beau was impressed by her experience, her insight, and the way she seemed genuinely interested in making a difference.
“I’m looking forward to working with you, Sheriff,” Y/N said as they parted ways that day. “I think we’ll make a good team.”
Present day:
And they did. Over time, they became a unit, a duo that the town came to respect and rely on. But as they worked side by side, the seeds of something more began to take root, something that went beyond badges and duty.
After the day they acknowledged their mutual feelings, they decided to step beyond the boundaries of work and explore the possibility of a personal connection. Beau wanted to make their first date special.
The Montana sky was a canvas of stars as Beau picked up Y/N from her modest home on the outskirts of Helena. The air was filled with the scent of sagebrush and anticipation. Beau had chosen a quiet spot by the lake, away from the prying eyes of the town, where they could talk freely.
Y/N stepped out, her usual uniform replaced by a simple dress that fluttered in the evening breeze. Beau couldn’t help but notice the way it made her eyes shine brighter than any star above them.
“Ready for an adventure?” Beau asked, offering his arm.
Y/N smiled, taking his arm. “With you? Always.”
They drove in comfortable silence, the familiar hum of the engine a soothing backdrop to their thoughts. When they arrived, Beau led Y/N to a clearing where he had set up a picnic. A checkered blanket was spread out, and candles flickered in mason jars, casting a warm glow.
They sat down, and Beau handed her a plate filled with homemade sandwiches, apple pie from the local bakery, and a thermos of hot chocolate. They talked about everything and nothing, laughter mingling with the soft sounds of the night.
As the night deepened, Beau took a deep breath. “Y/N, I’ve been a sheriff for a long time. I thought I knew what it meant to protect and serve. But being with you, it’s like I’m seeing the world anew.”
Y/N reached across the blanket, her hand covering his. “Beau, I’ve always admired you, respected you. But this,” she gestured around them, “it feels like we’re discovering a new part of life, together.”
They leaned back, watching the stars, their hands entwined. The night was peaceful, a gentle reminder that sometimes the most significant moments come when you step out of your comfort zone and into the unknown.
2 year time skip:
The morning of the wedding dawned clear and bright, the sun casting a golden glow over the town of Helena. The ceremony was set in the open expanse of the countryside, where the mountains stood as silent witnesses to the union.
Y/N stood in front of a full-length mirror, her wedding dress a masterpiece of lace and love, tailored to echo the strength and grace she carried herself with. Her badge was pinned close to her heart, a symbol of her commitment to her town and her soon-to-be husband.
Beau, dressed in a suit, waited at the altar, his heart full. The guests were a mix of townsfolk, family, and friends from near and far, all gathered to celebrate the love that had blossomed in the most unexpected of places.
As Y/N walked down the aisle, the world seemed to stand still. Beau’s eyes locked onto hers, and in that moment, they knew that every challenge, every shared glance, and every quiet support had led them here.
The ceremony was heartfelt, with vows that were more than just words. They were promises etched into their very beings, pledges of partnership in life and in the pursuit of justice.
“I, Y/N, take you, Beau, to be my partner in life, to stand by your side, to share in your laughter and your silence, to always seek the truth with you, and to uphold the law of love above all else,” Y/N vowed, her voice unwavering.
“And I, Beau, take you, Y/N, to be my partner in life, to honor our badge and our bond, to face each day with you with courage and compassion, and to always keep our love as my guiding light,” Beau promised, his words a solemn oath.
The exchange of rings was not just a formality but a sealing of their fates, intertwined and unbreakable. And when they were pronounced husband and wife, the applause that rose was not just for the union of two souls but for the hope and strength they represented.
The reception was a lively affair, with dancing, laughter, and stories shared under the starlit sky. The couple’s first dance was to a song that spoke of enduring love, their steps a dance of unity and mutual respect.
As the night drew to a close, Beau and Y/N stood together, looking out at the faces of the people they protected, served, and loved. They knew that their journey was just beginning, but they were ready to face it together, as partners in every sense of the word. "I love you Sheriff Beau Arlen", "and I love you Deputy Y/N Arlen".
Awww don't you just love Beau 🥰 hope you enjoyed this as much as I loved writing it ❤️

Wait Till I Get Home
Requested by Anon: Could you do a fic where the reader teases beau by sending sexy pictures while he is at work and says whatcha gonna do about it now lol and he shows her how it’s going to be please
I hope this is ok for you 😊
(Beau Arlen x You)
Y/n gets bored whilst Beau is at work, that is until she decides to send some not so innocent texts to Beau 😜
Warnings: contains smut 🔥 and fluff 🥰
Minors DO NOT INTERACT‼️🔞
Y/n stared at the clock, bored out of her mind as she lounged on the couch. Beau was at work, and she had the whole house to herself. A mischievous grin crept across her face as an idea formed in her mind. Why not have a bit of fun and spice up Beau's day at work?
She quickly got up and headed to the bedroom. After a few minutes of rummaging through her wardrobe, she found the perfect outfit - a sultry black lace lingerie set that she knew Beau would love. Y/n pulled out her phone, set the timer, and struck a pose in front of the mirror. Click. The first saucy photo was taken. She changed her pose Click, the second picture was taken. Y/n carried on till she had a decent amount of photos to send and tease Beau with.
She scrolled through the photos, selecting the ones that she deemed the steamiest. With each click, her confidence grew, and she felt exhilarated by the idea of surprising Beau with these daring photos. Y/n knew she was pushing the boundaries a bit, but she also knew that Beau wouldn't be able to resist.
After selecting the best shots, Y/n attached them to a message for Beau. She added a teasing caption to accompany the photos and hit send. As soon as the messages were delivered, Y/n felt a rush of excitement and nerves. She couldn't wait to see Beau's reaction.
Meanwhile, Beau sat at his desk, buried in work. His phone buzzed, indicating a new message. Curious, he picked it up and unlocked the screen. His eyes widened in surprise as he saw the photos that Y/n had sent. Beau's heart raced, and a smirk tugged at his lips.
He quickly composed himself, realizing that he couldn't let Y/n have all the fun. Without missing a beat, Beau typed out a reply, matching Y/n's boldness with his own saucy message. The playful banter between them escalated, each message more daring than the last.
As the day went on, the exchange between Y/n and Beau became hotter and hotter. His last message sent a shiver down her spine "Wait till I get home darlin'! 😏"
By the time Beau arrived home, the tension between them was palpable. Y/n was there waiting for him, still wearing the black lace underwear from the photos she sent him.
"Wow, what's gotten into you?" Beau asked, his eyes wide with surprise and desire. Y/n simply shrugged innocently, pretending she had no idea what he was talking about. But the sly glint in her eyes betrayed her.
Unable to resist any longer, Beau closed the distance between them and pulled Y/n into a heated kiss. The spark between them ignited, fuelled by the anticipation and desire that had been building all day. Y/n's plan had worked perfectly. Beau couldn't keep his hands off her, his touch setting her skin on fire.
Beau pulled away from the kiss only to fling Y/n over his shoulder. Y/n let out a small yelp "Beau, put me down" he slapped her ass making her yelp again. "oh no darlin, i told you you were going to pay for sending those photos". Beau dropped her at the foot of the bed, slowly removing his jacket that he had yet to take off. A nervous feeling was rising in y/n stomach. she had never seen Beau like this before, the lust in his eyes, the darkness that took over him.
He dropped down to his knees in front of her, his hands slowly creeping up her thighs with feather light touches. Her skin trembling with anticipation. He looked at her with complete dominance "I need you to lay down for me sweetheart" he said in that deep husky voice that drove her wild. She did as she was told, moving further up the bed to get comfortable. Beau painfully ran his hands up her thighs to pull at her now soaked panties "damn darlin, your soaked already, I've barely touched you". He pulled them down her legs as he stared at her dripping core.
The light kisses he was leaving on her thighs was making her squirm already. She was getting nervous and excited at the same time. Her hands fisted the sheets as he made contact with her throbbing clit, his tongue swirling, his teeth nipping, his lips sucking. Her head falling back further into the pillow as the sensation of his actions took over. Her moans spurring him on, he inserted a finger. Her gasp telling him he had found the right spot, he inserted another finger curling it upwards. Beau wasn't wasting any time, she has plagued him all day with those pictures. He could feel her walls starting to pulsate around his fingers, an evil thought came to his mind.
Just as she was about to climax he stopped. Y/n looked up in shock. Beau had never denied her before. "Thats for teasing me with those saucy photos y/n, I told you I'd make you pay" he said as he looked at her with the biggest smirk on his face. Y/n sat up in a huff, all riled up. Beau couldn't keep a straight face "don't worry sweetheart, the nights not over yet". The blush that crept up y/n cheeks was undeniable.
Beau stripped out of his trousers and shirt. Y/n sat up on the bed admiring the man she fell in love with. He approached her caressing her cheek lightly "your so god damn beautiful". She could never get use to him complimenting her.
He kissed her deeply as he pushed her down, caging her underneath him. He had shimmied his boxers of as he kissed her. "you know I wanted to punish you for making me blush at work, but I just can't do it. I wanna take my time with you, savour every touch, every kiss, your beautiful moans" with that said he sheathed himself inside her. Her eyes rolling at the feeling of him filling her completely.
He got lost in the way he felt against her warmth, the way her face contorted with pleasure, the way he could tell she was getting close. With each delicious drag in and out of her, Beau thought he had died and gone to heaven. "Beau, go faster, please" she asked him. He crashed his lips onto hers as he picked up the pace, both of them becoming breathless. Her walls pulsating, his cock was throbbing. He knew she was close but it felt like she was holding back "come for me darlin" she placed a hand on his cheek "together" she replied.
They came hard, and together. Beau couldn't quite believe it happened. It was the most euphoric feeling he had ever had. He collapsed to the side of y/n, both trying to get their breathing under control.
As they lay tangled together in the aftermath, Y/n couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. Boredom had turned into excitement, and she knew that their love was as fiery and intense as ever. "I love you Sheriff Beau Arlen" he grasped her hand bringing it to his lips "I love you Y/n L/n, Always".

𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 (epilogue)
(Beau Arlen x Female Reader)
(masterlist)
𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: After the court case was finally over and things are finally returning to normal, the sheriff comes back into your cafe just like normal and with the help of your nosey but well-meaning sister, she helps nudge Beau along to ask you out now that the case is over.
𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: none, just fluffy Beau x Reader content 💕
Eight Months Later…
This was it.
This was the day that would determine if Andre would be getting off Scott-free or if he would be serving his time behind bars.
You hated that you had to be there as a witness. You hated that you had to describe everything that happened, describe the people who kidnapped you. What was worse was that Andre's lawyers did their best to make you out to be a liar, saying that your judgement may be impaired for whatever their reasons were.
The case seemed to take ages and you couldn't believe it was this long of an ordeal to even get court dates settled.
Now here you were, in the booths with the other families whose lives were ruined by the defendant. But Beau was right there beside you just like he had always been through this mess. He was waiting in anticipation with you, anxious to find out the jury's verdict.
You had just been called back into the court room a few minutes ago since the jurors were apparently done making their decision. When you saw them coming back into the room, you and everyone else in the courtroom stood as a part of courtroom etiquette. Though, you carefully held Beau's hand, which he squeezed a little. He seemed just as nervous as you were, despite his confident exterior.
God it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop after the jurors were all settled in their spots.
"Has the jury reached their verdict?" You heard the voice of the judge say.
"We have, your honor."
"And it's unanimous, correct?"
"Yes, Sir, it is."
Then the clerk walked over to the first juror and was handed the file before making their way back to the judge. When the judge said everyone could be seated, the room went back to being silent as he looked through the paper.
Now it all came down to this, what was on those sheets of paper that the jury handed over. It was like the entire room was holding their breath if they weren't glaring at the defendant.
When the judge said that the defendant would rise and face the jury, the judge handed the sheets back to the court clerk so she could make the final announcements.
"The state of Montana verses Andre Bolkonsky," The clerk began to read.
One by one as each of the charges were called out, Andre was guilty to a certain extent of the law if not completely guilty. He was partially guilty of your kidnapping since he orchestrated it, and of course he was guilty of your assault in the fullest.
When you heard the verdict you couldn’t help but feel this immense weight fall off of your shoulders. Yet a part of you wondered if this was really happening and if this was your reality, or if this was some kind of really good dream that you would have to wake up from just to return to some harsh reality.
“Beau…”
He looked down at you and he had a smile on his face, “It’s real, Y/N. He’s going away for good.”
That reassurance was everything you needed in that moment and you threw your arms around the sheriff, hugging him so tightly.
It was finally over and you could hardly believe it!
Morning Glory Coffee…
You never thought you would be able to come back here again. It felt so surreal to have even been able to open this place up again since your kidnapping. But now you were back in the building, bright and early and it’s been about two weeks since the trial ended.
You and Cadence were both there at the shop to straighten everything up so you can open. You brewed some fresh coffee and baked some goodies before putting them on the display table. That was when a pleasant little surprise came up.
The sound of the bell on the top of the door rang out as the door opened up. When you looked over, you saw Beau Arlen standing there.
“You’re here early.” You grinned at him and you could watch a smile begin to form on his face.
“Well, I did miss having your coffee everyday.” The sheriff said, causing you to roll your eyes, grinning at him.
“Just the coffee huh? Let me guess, the usual?”
“Actually… I think I might go with something different this time around.” Beau said as he walked closer to the counter.
“Something different… well if you still want to go with the bitter kind of taste, there’s the Americano, and some cold brew. Or if you’s like something a little sweeter I can make you a mocha, maybe a frappuccino or something like that.”
“I may go with something a little on the sweeter side.” He said and you hummed a little.
“I think we can go with a caramel macchiato.” You nodded and Beau chuckled.
“Whatever you think I’ll like.” He told you.
Beau watched as you started making the espresso and whatever else you needed to make the drink with some ridiculous name. Aren’t all coffees made the same anyway? He supposed that he wouldn’t know for sure. But he knew that he was glad that you were back.
From the corner of his eye, Beau saw Cadence standing in the corner with a certain sort of look on her face. She glanced at her sister that was busily making Beau a drink before she walked over to the sheriff.
“What are you waiting for? She went through something terrible and you were right there by her side through the trials.” Cadence told him in a whisper so you wouldn’t hear anything.
“What do you mean what am I waiting for?” Beau questioned and Cadence rolled her eyes before she reached over and flicked Beau on the forehead with her middle finger.
“Hey! What was that for?” Beau asked and rubbed his forehead.
“You know exactly what I mean, don’t play dumb.” Cadence said.
“I was an idiot for suggesting that she go and date Andre. And I’ll regret that for the rest of my life. But you know what else? I regret not encouraging her to go out with you more. She’s had feelings for you for such a long time but she’s never made a move because she doesn’t want to distract you from your work.”
Beau lifted a brow slightly. You actually had feelings for him? Then again, before you were taken, you did owe him a date since she rain-checked. Did he actually stand a chance with you?
“Are you sure that she wants to actually date someone right now after everything that’s happened?” Beau asked.
“Beau, she’s had her struggles long before Andre even came around. She just went on that date with Andre to try and move on before the date obviously went wrong.” Cadence said but when she looked over she saw that you were almost done making Beau’s beverage.
“Make a move, like ASAP! I want to be an aunt before I die and I want her to be with the right guy.” She said before she went to the back to go and prep something for the day before some other customers would end up coming in later.
Beau looked over at you and smiled a little to himself. There was a glimmer of hope burning in him and it made him wonder if Cadence was telling the truth about you having feelings for him. How long were they there?
“Hey, is something on your mind?”
Your question seemed to make Beau jump and you were a little worried. Was something wrong? Was there another case that he was stressing over? You wished that he could get even a little bit of a break.
You watched as Beau tucked his bottom lip in between his teeth and he looked as if he wanted to talk to you about something, “Actually, there was something I kind of wanted to ask you about.”
“Um… okay?” You said and handed him the drink.
“Do you remember when I missed movie night and you said that maybe I should make it up to you?” In truth, you almost didn’t remember with everything that happened but when you thought about it, you remembered.
“It’s been a while since that rain check, huh? Literally months and I think you’ve made up for it since then.” You chuckled a little but leaned over the counter, curious as to how this came to his mind.
“Yeah, I know it’s been several months… But maybe we could still go out and find something to do. I insist. So are you free tonight?” He asked you as he leaned over as well.
You bit your lip a little. The same feeling that you had when you wondered if the court case with Andre was over had returned, causing you to wonder if Beau was really asking if you were free or not.
“Um.. y-yeah. I should be free.” You answered.
A certain softness seemed to flicker in those beautiful, forest green eyes of his. It made you feel warm on the inside and you were almost certain that you could kiss him in that moment.
“Great. I’ll come and pick you up after work.” He insisted, you nodded in response before watching him stand up and leave.
As he walked out of the door, you smiled fondly to yourself. You never thought that you could feel this happy again. Granted you couldn’t just pretend that everything that transpired with Andre never happened, but it was easier to move past all of it because of Beau. Things were at least beginning to go back to normal other than the nightmares you had. He was always there to comfort you when you needed him .
“Okay, Y/N.. stop daydreaming and help me stock up some cups and lids and everything. If you want to get off early for your big date with the sheriff, I need a little help making sure everything’s in line while the owner’s away.” Your sister reminded you, causing your cheeks to turn pinkish.
“Why do I get the feeling you’re behind him saying something?”
“Hey, he was already going to do that anyway. He just needed a little push in the right direction. And Sheriff Arlen is a guy we can actually trust this time.”
Five o’clock finally came around which meant that it was time for you to get ready for Beau to pick you up.
You were in the back after you had taken your apron off and you placed it in your little locker. You were looking at the camera on your phone, trying to fix up your hair and freshen up a bit. Cadence was leaning against one of the tables in the back just smiling at you since there weren’t any customers at the moment.
“You know, I don’t think he’s going to be too worried about how your hair looks. He knows you’re a working woman.” She reminded you and you shrugged a little.
“I know.” You sighed, “It’s just that I don’t want to mess this up. After everything that’s happened, he still remembered about missing some movie night? We’ve had plenty of those over the past eight months after he got me back.”
“Sweetie, of course he was going to ask you if you wanted him to actually make up for it. You can be a bit naive when it comes to him, can’t you?” Your sister laughed, making you wonder what about this was so amusing but you didn’t really want to question it.
“I guess I’m just shocked for whatever reason.”
“Well don’t let it shock you. You like him, and he likes you enough to ask you out. So enjoy tonight and see where this goes. You know he’s not going to hurt you and these past several months have only proved that point. You deserve happiness and you deserve to have that happiness with someone that will stop at nothing to make sure you have it. And obviously Beau is that person.”
It surprised you how obvious Cadence made it sound, but you supposed she was right. Maybe you were overthinking about something here and you just needed to relax and enjoy whatever moments that you would have with Beau that night. You were sure Beau needed some time to relax as much as you did, so maybe this really would be good for the both of you.
“Anyway, I still want to look halfway decent instead of going on some kind of, whatever this is, in my uniform shirt.” You said but then you heard the sound of a locker door opening up. When you glanced over and saw Cadence going through her locker.
“You are so lucky that I’m prepared.” Cadence chuckled, “But you need to start packing some little outfits to wear incase this becomes a regular thing with the sheriff.” She smirked and wiggled her brows a bit.
You smiled and rolled your eyes a little but then your sister pulled out two shirts for you to pick from. When you did, she handed the shirt to you.
“Now don’t let him tear it up or anything. I like that shirt.” Cadence smirked and your entire face turned red as you clutched the shirt close to you.
“W-We aren’t gonna do anything like that on the first outing!”
“Oh for the love of- Y/N, it’s a date! Call it a date before I strangle you!”
“Okay, we won’t be doing stuff like that on the first date.” You insisted and the biggest smile appeared on your sister’s face when she heard you call it a date after all.
“Okay, okay. Now go change! He’ll be here any minute.” Cadence practically shoved you out of the back so you could change in the rest room and finish getting ready.
After a few minutes, you had now changed into a more comfortable shirt and it actually fit your figure quite well. You put on a denim jacket over it since that was what you wore to work with the uniform, and you pulled your hair into a side, French braid. You were glad your sister trained you to pack a little tube of mascara and some gloss for spontaneous moments like this. It was simple and you preferred simple anyway.
When you stepped out you saw that Beau was just coming into the cafe and you smiled when you saw him.
“Hey. You’re right on time.” You grinned and he looked over at you. He smiled warmly and you could feel the butterflies in your stomach.
“You look nice. I like that shirt on you.”
“Thanks.. it’s my sister’s.” You admitted and you looked over towards the back to wave goodbye to Cadence, and Beau did the same. She waved back at the two of you before Beau looked down at you.
“You ready to head out?”
“I think so.” You nodded and he offered an arm for you to take. Once you took it he escorted you out of the door and took you to the car.
It was still around the time where it would get darker a little earlier in the day, and Beau ended up taking you to some place for dinner. They had some tables outside and it was a pretty night so that’s where you sat. There were several square tables outside and there were some lights strung out on the patio. Then in one corner, evidently there was a local band playing too.
“You must’ve known they’d be playing when you brought me here.” You said and Beau placed one hand up in the air.
“No clue. Swear that this was a surprise for me too.” He insisted and he pulled out a chair for you so you could sit down. Then he sat across from you.
You gazed at him and saw that he was looking down at the menu. You took the time to observe and admire the way he looked and appreciate the small details. Like the way his freckles showed up a little better with this lighting, or the way his hair was falling in front of his face when he was looking down at the menu.
When a waitress came by you got distracted and you looked up when she was asking you and Beau what you’d like to drink. You just ordered a water while Beau ordered his favorite beer. Then she left to get the drinks for the both of you and that was when you looked over at Beau again, who you caught gazing at you too.
“Thank you… for taking me out tonight.” You said and he grinned.
“No need to thank me. It’s something that I wanted to do.” He said but then he rubbed the back if his neck a little, “Actually it’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while now.”
“Well…” You trailed off and decided to make kind of a bolder move and you placed a hand on his that was on the table, “I’m glad that you did.”
He maneuvered his hand to where he could hold your own and it felt like your hand fit perfectly in his.
“How did everything go today?” You asked him, trying to start some sort of conversation and he smiled a little.
“It was an easier day. Luckily we’ve not had anymore kidnapping cases. We had a few house calls but it was nothing too serious. Just nosey neighbors calling because a radio was too loud or a dog was barking and annoying them. Nothing overly serious.”
“Well… at least it was an easier day.”
“Yeah, although there were some case files that we haven’t had any leads on that ended up going cold. I hate they did.” He sighed and ran a hand through his hair but you gave him an empathetic smile.
“Well, some cold cases don’t stay cold forever. Somewhere down the line people slip up and sometimes those cold cases get re-opened.” You reminded him.
“Yeah but that doesn’t happen often enough.”
“Cut yourself some slack. I know you hate when cases get cold, but there’s always hope.”
You could hear the little scoff he made and he looked down at the menu again but you gave your hand a gentle squeeze, “You taught me there’s always hope.”
He looked up at you again before you spoke again, “The FBI had been chasing after Andre and his group for a long time. And even if some of those members got caught, they didn’t serve time for long. They thought for sure that they could get away with me and get me out of the country and for a moment, every part of me thought they would be right.”
“But..?”
“But even when I was so close to giving up, I would think about you. How your determination would drive you and I knew somehow you’d find me, even if it would take a while. If you can persevere, then I knew I could too and I needed to figure out how to get out and think of what you would do in some of the situations I was in.” You told him.
Beau listened carefully to what you were saying and he was a little stunned. He had no idea he would be on your mind to help you fight back like that. You were a strong individual and he was so proud of you for taking that risk of screaming out on that phone call. He was proud when you somehow managed to get a phone and call him.
“You know… I think you may be a lot stronger than I am.” He admitted but he carefully intertwined your fingers.
“But you’re right. Those cold cases, I know, will be in the back of my mind and someone will slip up eventually like Andre’s group did.” He said but then he decided to move on.
“What about you? I’m sure your sister’s glad that you’ve been back. How’s your day been?”
“It was a little slow today. But it does get pretty slow on week days since a lot of people are working.” He heard you speak and he grinned a little.
“I suppose that’s fair.” He smiled.
“But I can’t complain. The downtime is nice. I’ve actually been thinking about changing up the interior of the cafe. So the downtime gives me some time to think about some of the interior designs.” You said with a smile, gosh your smile was so adorable to him.
“Well if you ever need any help when the time comes, you know you can always give me a call.” Beau insisted.
“I think I might keep that in mind.” You smirked, then the waitress came back with your drinks and she took both of your orders.
Beau ended up getting a burger and you got some sort of salad.
After a while of conversation and after the both of you had eaten your meals, Beau heard the band start to play some sort of slow song that he didn’t really know by heart, but he saw some couples going up there to dance
Then Beau had an idea and he stood up, which caused you to look up at him.
“What are you doing?” You asked him and he just grinned at you.
“Come on up there with me.” He said and you lifted a brow a little.
“You sure? I might step on your toes a bit.” You chuckled a little and he rolled his eyes playfully.
“Of course I’m sure.” He insisted and he took a hold of your hand and started leading you to the floor where some other people were dancing.
Then, Beau placed a hand on your hip and he could feel one of your hands on his shoulders while the two of you were close together. He lead you to the rhythm of the song that was playing as you danced and he swore this would be one of the moments with you that he would always have in his mind.
You looked so beautiful, with the way your hair framed your face perfectly or the way the lights seemed to shine in your eyes so beautifully. You were perfect in his eyes in every way and he didn’t think he’d be spending a moment like this with you. He supposed he needed to thank your sister for giving him that push.
He could feel your hand move from his shoulder to his cheek. Your touch felt so soft and he leaned into it before he ended up giving you a little twirl as you both danced, your laughter filled his ears when he pulled you back into him. Then he leaned down and kissed the top of your head softly.
“Why don’t we go back to my place? Tonight’s the perfect night to have a little fire or something.” He suggested and you nodded.
“I think that sounds perfect.”
After a while, you realized that the two of you had made it to Beau’s little camper and when he opened the door for you, Beau held out a hand to help you out of the vehicle. When you got out, the two of you went inside of the camper.
“Here, let me help you.” You insisted and you grabbed whatever he needed you to get but that was when the both of you heard some faint tapping on the window.
When the both of you looked out, you saw that it was starting to rain, but then you heard the thunder in the distance.
“I guess the fire pit might have to wait.” Beau said with a chuckle but then you smiled while you gazed at the raindrops, starting to get lost in your own thoughts.
“Y/N? You okay?”
“Hm? Yeah, just thinking about something.” You said and you felt his hand on the small of your back.
“Care to share?”
You carefully leaned into him, feeling his chest on your back, “I was just thinking about that night..."
"The night in the woods?"
"Mhmm," You hummed fondly, "It was raining and you carried me to the car because you realized I wasn't wearing any shoes. I swear I thought my toes were going to fall off because it was so cold." You laughed.
"I was just glad that we got you home." He said.
"I was so tempted to kiss you that night..." Then you swore you could feel his muscles tense a little, but they soon relaxed as you looked up at him.
"You wanted to kiss me that night?" he asked and your cheeks started to heat up a bit as you looked out of the window.
"I-I mean, um... maybe." You said bashfully.
"I guess looking back on it, it would have been some silly little movie moment and I know chick flick moments might not be your thing. Kissing in the rain or something like that is so juvenile..." You rambled on before you suddenly felt Beau take your hand and he started taking you outside.
"Beau? What are you doing?" You laughed.
"Something that I should have done a long time ago." You heard him say but then the two of you went outside and luckily the rain wasn't pouring too hard just yet.
When Beau stopped walking, he stood in front of you and you could feel his soft yet slightly calloused hand touch your cheek.
"Y/N... I've known for a long time now what my feelings were for you... And I should have done something about it long before now." He said and you placed one of your hands on his shoulder again.
"Why didn't you?"
"Because I let my job get in the way. Because I thought you wouldn't want to take a chance with me. And because of stupid reasons that don't really matter. But I know that the moment you went missing, I couldn't bare the thought of losing you. Then when the trials happened there was so much going on and I didn't want to complicate anything. So I wanted to wait until the court dates were over and when we knew for sure Andre would be gone for good."
"And what about now? Since all of it is over?" You asked in a slightly hushed tone.
"Now... there's nothing else for me to wait for." He said and he tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. Then both of his hands were on your face and he leaned down and kissed you.
The wave of adrenaline rushed through you but then you melted into his touch and closed your eyes. His kiss was so warm and sweet, enough to make you feel light headed as you kissed him back. You could feel the rain hitting you and it was cool in contrast to the closeness between you and Beau.
Your hand went from his shoulder to the back of his neck and he tilted his head, deepening the kiss. This was so worth the wait, and you couldn't dream of a better moment. You fell so hard for this man, and knowing that he felt the same way for you made you feel happier than you've been in such a long time.
When Beau pulled away, your foreheads were pressed against each other. He had taken your breath away and you were trying to remember how to form words.
"I love you, Y/N L/N..."
Those words, even if they came a bit sooner than you expected, were the very words you had wanted to tell him for the longest time.
"I love you too, Beau Arlen."
And from there, you knew that the two of you would spend a lifetime that you had always dreamed of having. You knew that this would be something that not even the best fairy tale could match, and the rest of your life would be spent with the man that meant the world to you.
Your heart was his, and his was yours, forever intertwined and maybe even entangled for eternity.
Thank you all so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed this Beau x Reader fanfiction and it was such a joy to write! Thank you to all of you who commented, reblogged, and liked. It's truly appreciated.

𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 (pt. 3)
(Beau Arlen x Female Reader)
(masterlist)
𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: When Beau wraps up at least one end of his case, he finds that there’s more and he may be sinking into some sort of rabbit hole. It’s his job to get Helena Montana out of this mess and safe once more with Hoyt’s help. Meanwhile, you’re getting more friendly with Andre and you start to wonder if you should be setting your sites on someone who has the time for you. What will you do when one of the two men in your life actually asks you out?
𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠: mentions of some characters in season 1. Kidnapping case and discussions of human traffiking. Beginning of the love triangle. I think that’s it?
Beau and Jenny found Irene’s grandson, evidently named Sean, driving the green SUV down the road. They followed him and they were able to stop him at one of the many back roads of Helena Montana.
When the car was stopped, Beau and Jenny got out of Beau’s car and of course the two officers were cautious. They had their arms ready just in case.
“Sean? We need you to step out of the vehicle.” Beau said, a little wary of what might happen.
When the car door slowly opened up, a lanky looking red head with curly hair and freckles carefully stepped out of the vehicle with his hands up.
“I-I know why you’re here. And I’m so sorry…” This poor kid couldn’t have been older than nineteen. Fresh out of high school, could be a freshman in college.
“Come on, kiddo. Let’s get you down to the station. We just need to talk about a few things.” Jenny said.
Sean nodded and he stood still and put his arms behind his back.
“Oh, there’s no need for that. You aren’t under arrest.” The deputy promised and it took everything Beau had in him not to say the words “not yet” afterward.
When they got Sean into the car, they made it to the station about thirty minutes later. They got Sean’s fingerprints before getting him into the interrogation room.
Jenny and Sean sat down across from one another while Beau was a little too antsy to have a seat. He just wanted to get those two women found before anything bad would happen to them.
“You said you knew what this was about, right? So, Sean, why don’t you tell us what happened, tell us your side.” Jenny said. Beau supposed she was trying to play good cop for once since this was practically a kid.
“Well… All of it was just so I could help my grandma pay her hospital bills. She just had both her hips replaced several months ago but for whatever reason her insurance and social security couldn’t cover all of it. The co-pay was a little too much for her to afford. She’s also really far behind on some of her other bills.” Sean began and he looked down at his hands.
“So you’re trying to be a good grandson. What did you do?” Beau asked, his arms crossed over his chest.
“I-I made a mistake… I met this guy at a bar. He didn’t give me his real name. All I knew him as was Ace. And Ace told me that I could help pay for my grandmother’s bills if I just… did some driving for him.” Sean said.
“Driving? To where? What were you transporting?” Beau’s brows narrowed.
“H-He is a part of some gang. I don’t know what gang or what they wanted, but I was supposed to take whatever ladies he had blindfolded and take them to this site. It was different every time. I-It was like they were selling people for whatever reasons.” Sean continued.
“The Syndicate? Was that who it was?” Jenny asked, remembering the case with the truck driver, Ronald Perlman, and the state trooper, Rick Legarski.
“No, I think it was someone else. Maybe someone who buys from the Syndicate or something. Maybe it’s something similar to whatever Syndicate you’re talking about? I-I don’t know for sure. I’m sorry…”
“How long does it take for the buyer to get to the site?” Beau questioned, voice growing more stern.
“It depends on how fast we can get them to answer, or rather when Ace can get them on the phone. He got them on the phone three days ago. The buyer is supposed to come by sometime early next week. I think in about two days if their on schedule.” Sean said.
“Do you remember where the site is? Can you take us there?”
Sean was a little hesitant. He seemed unsure about something and he was shaking his leg under the table. Things weren’t supposed to be this way. It was supposed to be simple. An easy payday so he could take care of his grandmother.
“I-If I show you, is there any way I can get protection from these guys? Or protection for my grandmother at least?” He asked.
Jenny looked up at Beau who’s brow was raised in the air, arms still firmly in place over his chest as if he hadn’t moved the whole time.
“We can get the FBI involved and let them know the Syndicate or someone similar is hitting up Helena again.” Beau said, “We’ll see what we can do about your grandmother at least. I don’t know what deal they’ll offer you since you were an accomplice.”
“I’ll take it! As long as she’s okay.”
“Great. Hoyt, grab some reinforcements and call some backup in case there’s any conflict. Time to hit the road.” Beau instructed and walked out of the interrogation room.
Beau had grabbed a bullet proof vest and proceeded to put it on before stepping outside to get into his vehicle. When he did, Beau realized that it was already dark outside by this time. If this case were simpler, he would be at your house watching that movie with you. there was nothing else he would rather be doing right now. He would have loved to be under some random throw blanket he had with you beside him.
But this was his job and this was his priority whether he liked it or not.
It was time to get Sidney Ferguson and Ember O’Riley back to their families. They’ve been under enough stress for this past week and it’s time to put an end to this. At least an end for their means.
Yet for some reason, Beau had this unsettling feeling that whatever group this was, they weren’t done with Helena just yet.
You were sitting on the couch with your sister and Andre. Sure enough, Cassie wasn’t able to make it and of course Beau had told you from that phone call that he and Jenny couldn’t make it tonight. So it was just the three of you watching The Shining and you had forgotten just how good of an actor Nicholson was in this role.
Somewhere in the middle of the movie, Cadence got up from her seat next to you on the couch.
“I’m grabbing a drink. Can I get either of you anything?”
“Sure, I’d like one if you don’t mind.” Andre said.
“I’m good.” You replied, then you watched your sister leave to go to the kitchen.
You looked at the tv again, but you weren’t exactly sure why your mind was suddenly drawing a blank. You knew you would be sitting here enjoying the movie with your sister and your guest, but you couldn’t help but think about the sheriff.
What kind of complications were there? Had he finally gotten a break in the case? Was he going to be able to find those girls? Would he come out of this okay?
“You’re thinking of your sheriff friend, huh?” Andre’s voice broke you from your thoughts. You looked at him for a moment and you have a half of a smile.
“That obvious? I’m sorry, you must think I’m really rude.” You apologized and looked down at your hands in embarrassment.
“No, that’s alright. I’m just curious… is he more than a friend to you?” He asked and you could feel his gaze on you.
You shook your head, “I don’t think he’ll ever be more than a friend. My sister is kind of an advocate for something to happen between me and him, but she has to face the reality that his work is his priority. I can’t stand in the way of that. What he does is important, and all I can really do is hope that he is at least safe with whatever case he’s on.”
“So… not more than a friend but you wish that wasn’t the case, hmm?” Andre asked and you looked over at him and grinned.
“You’re awfully nosey with me and him aren’t you? You and Cadence could bond over that.” You rolled your eyes, “But no, I don’t want him to be anything more than a friend. A person like him would make a much better friend than anything beyond that.”
You may have been lying through your teeth, but if you said the lie out loud maybe you could actually believe it one day. Beau would make a much better friend for you. You couldn’t get attached to him of all people, at least not romantically attached.
“I see.” Andre began but you watched him tuck his bottom lip between his teeth as his gaze went down to the space between the two of you. You could see the gears turning in his mind before he finally spoke again.
“So, hypothetically, if I were to ask you out on a date.. would you refuse?”
The question stunned you. Honestly you were speechless. You weren’t even sure if you were ready to hop back into dating but that was when your sister came into the room again.
“Of course she wouldn’t refuse! She hasn’t dated in forever and she really needs to get out more.” Cadence piped up and answered for you. You looked up at her wide eyed, wondering why the hell she was answering a question you weren’t even sure about.
“Really? How long has it been?” Andre asked and you looked back at him before you rubbed the back of your neck.
“Let’s just go with a little too long… so when do you want to go out on this date? And what do you have in mind?” You asked.
He smiled at you, apparently glad that you were willing to go along with this even if your sister practically volunteered you into this, “Why don’t we leave that as a mystery for let’s say… tomorrow morning? I’ll pick you up at nine.”
That soon? You didn’t know Andre was quite that ambitious but why not go for it? It’s not like anyone else was lining up to date you really. And it was just one time right? How bad could it be?
“Sure, nine sounds great.” You agreed as Cadence handed Andre his drink.
Then you could hear an unfamiliar ringtone and you saw Andre fish his phone from his pocket.
“Is everything alright?” You asked and you could hear him sigh seemingly out of aggravation, if that was the right word for it.
“Just when we were having a good time, I get a message from an associate. He says we need to have a meeting and it’s pretty urgent.” He said.
You smiled a little. Honestly you weren’t sure if you could complain. You weren’t sure what the jewelry business was like so you didn’t know if Andre would be as busy as Beau. Then again if he was and the two of you continued after tomorrows date goes well, you could understand that he was still starting to get established here in Montana. That would take some time.
Then again, that was all in the hypothetical and if everything would work out after tomorrow’s date.
“It’s getting pretty late anyways. We can always watch this another time or something. Go ahead for your meeting.” You said.
Andre smiled at you before he leaned in. You felt the warmth of his lips on your cheek, which sort of startled you because it was an unexpected gesture. When he pulled away, he grinned, “Thank you for understanding. I’ll be here by tomorrow morning.”
Then you watched him get up, causing you to stand as well so you could walk him out to the door. When the door was opened, you looked up at him, “Be safe on the way home, or to your meeting, or wherever the meeting is taking place whether its at home or not.”
“You’re rather adorable when you begin to ramble, aren’t you?” He chuckled, “But I’ll let you know when I get home. So don’t worry that pretty little head of yours.”
With that, you watched him leave and step into his truck before driving into the night.
You smiled to yourself. You weren’t quite sure where things would go between the two of you, but you hoped that maybe this could help you move on from the sheriff since that didn’t really seem to be going anywhere.
Somehow, though, it felt almost like you were cheating on Beau in a way. You didn’t think Beau knew you had feelings for him, but you wondered if this was right.
All you could do for the time being was wait and see what would happen next.
Beau, Jenny, and the other officers that were called to the site where Sean dropped the women off were successful on their mission.
Both Ember and Sidney were safe and sound, finally, and Jenny was talking with Sidney to see if there was any information on this Ace fellow that she could gather.
Ember was sitting on another ambulance with a blanket around her while a paramedic was checking on her. Both the girls would end up being taken to a hospital to check on their well being. As well as Ember’s baby. Beau knew that James would be elated to have his bride back. As for Sidney, you knew Lidia and their parents would be eager to see their family member again.
He was just glad that he was able to get these two women back safely. He just hoped that these girls could give them some kind of information.
Beau watched as the paramedics took the two girls away and Jenny walked towards him with her hands in the pockets of her jacket.
“What’d you find out?” Beau asked.
“Well, not a whole lot. Sean was wrong about this Ace fella buying from the Syndicate. I think it’s an entirely different operation. It’s still related to trafficking, but it’s a different organization. They were planning on letting Ember go anyway because apparently expecting mothers aren’t in the criteria. But they didn’t let her go because they figured she’d tell authorities.” Hoyt explained.
“I think we’re gonna have to figure out how to get in contact with Ace. Or at least locate him and we can figure out how to get them out of here before someone else gets taken.”
“That’s a great idea and all, but we’re gonna have to wait on some DNA results. We collected some cigarette buds and we think that any saliva collected could help us figure out if Ace is in the data base anywhere.”
“Well what are we supposed to do until then? Just sit around on our hands and hope for the best?”
Jenny sighed before she reached up and adjusted the jacket Beau was wearing, “We celebrate this victory. Ember and Sidney are safe and they’re going back to their families. And who knows, maybe this whole thing might be over when this Ace fella finds out that their operation was compromised and they may not come back to Helena.”
“Yeah, I guess that’s true.”
“So, a way you can celebrate, Arlen, is you can get your ass down to Y/N’s house and apologize to her about missing out tonight. Find a way to make it up to her. Because you know damned well that ladies like her don’t stay single forever.”
Beau thought about it for a moment and he thought about how you sounded disappointed in that phone call when he said he wouldn’t be able to make it that night. He knew you were the understanding sort, so would you actually hold it against him?
“Yeah.. I suppose I could go over. She’ll want to know that Ember and Sidney are safe now.” He nodded.
So that was exactly what he did.
When Beau made it to your house, he saw that the porch light was still on. He half expected it to be turned off considering it was getting close to midnight. We’re you alright?
He stepped out of his car and looked down when he realized the bulletproof vest was still on. He took it off and tossed it into the car and shut the door. When he made it to your porch, he lifted a hand and gently knocked on the door, hoping that you would answer.
After a few moments of waiting, the door finally opened up. He saw you there with a messy bun, an AC/DC shirt and some sleeping shorts. You looked like you were ready for bed even if you looked wide awake.
“Beau? What are you doing here? Is everything okay?”
“Yeah, everything’s alright… I just wanted to check on ya.”
“Check on me? What for?” He heard the slightest chuckle in your voice and he smiled a little before he shook his head.
“Never mind, Darlin… I did want to say that we did finally get those two girls back. They should be on their way home either tonight or tomorrow morning once their released from the hospital. They had one of those routine checkups done as far as I know.” He admitted and he saw a smile appear on your face.
“That’s good. I’m glad things were able to work out. But you know you could have told me that on the phone. So why are you really here?”
Beau couldn’t help but wonder why he felt so hesitant now. Why was he there? What was he doing on your porch close to midnight? All of this could have been done over the phone, but he just wanted to see you, he supposed.
“I um… I wanted to apologize for missin’ movie night.”
“You know I’ll never hold the job against you, Beau. You did well tonight and I’m glad you guys were able to make sure those girls got back to their families before something bad happened.” You promised.
“Right.. but uh… I was wondering if there was some way I could make it up to you?” He asked and he watched you tilt your head to the side a little.
“Oh yeah? What did you have in mind?”
“Well, I have the day off tomorrow. Maybe we can do something?” That was when he saw the expression in your face change.
“Um… tomorrow won’t exactly work for me. I’m supposed to be going on a uh.. friend date tomorrow.”
“A friend date?”
“Yeah, it’s with Andre. I’m just going to be showing him some of the fun spots in town. Nothing too fancy really.”
Beau felt this twinge of jealousy within him and he hated it. He didn’t like that you were going on a date with a guy you just met a couple of days ago. We’re you insane?! What if he was dangerous? What if he was just going to use you somehow?
All of these scenarios were playing in his mind and he wasn’t exactly sure what to say.
“Oh.. I see…”
“But if you still want to make things up to me…” He heard you trailing off for a moment, “This weekend, you and I should have a movie night at your place. Just the two of us. I’ll bring some marshmallows to roast and we can make s’mores.”
This was your request? You two have had plenty of movie nights together since Jenny or Cassie couldn’t make it once in a while if they were caught up with their own lives. But he couldn’t exactly recall the last time you said it should just be the two of you.
“I think that ought to be doable.” Beau smiled down at you.
“Good. So… I’ll see you at the coffee shop until then?” The hopefulness in your voice made that aching feeling in Beau’s stomach subside a little. He still didn’t trust Andre one bit. But at least he had something to look forward to he supposed. You did say it was just a friend date, whatever that means.
“I’ll be there.” He promised, “Now try and get some sleep. You shouldn’t be wide awake this late at night.” He grinned.
You rolled your eyes a little before you stood taller on your tipped toes. Suddenly he felt your soft lips on his scruffy cheek, taking him by surprise.
“You need your sleep too, Sheriff. You’ve had a long night and you deserve the rest.” He heard you say and he gazed down at you.
“I’ll do my best, Sweetheart… Goodnight.” He said with a softer tone.
“Goodnight, Beau.” You replied and he watched you slowly shut the door.
Beau sighed and he ran a hand through his hair before he turned around and went to his car.
While he was walking, though, he got a phone call, causing him to let out a grumble to himself. He pulled the phone out of his pocket and answered while he got into the vehicle. “Arlen. What’s happening?”
“We need you to get to Irene’s house. I was wrong. I don’t think this is over, Beau.”
Hey guys! Thank you for reading! I hope you guys are enjoying this series so far! There’s more to this case than meets the eye and one has to wonder just who this Ace is. We’ll see where this goes!

𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 (pt. 9)
(Beau Arlen x Female Reader)
(masterlist)
𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: After a relieving phone call, Beau and the other officers go on the hunt for the van that took you and they track Jack's phone down in the woods. It was now or never for Beau to find you. Meanwhile, you're doing your best to keep your chin up and be as patient as you could while you focused on survival.
𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: Crime show level of violence, gunfire, mentions of Y/N’s case, fluffy Beau at the end… that should be everything~
The interrogation went as well as Beau could have imagined, he supposed.
Naturally, Andre’s lawyer came in when she was called and Agent Sampson struck some kind of deal. Andre would still have to serve time if your assault was backed up with evidence after all, but he wouldn’t be held accountable for your kidnapping if he agreed to give some kind of information about Ace, Jack and Queen.
Andre confirmed that his cousin was in fact Ace. Turns out that not only was Andre a trash person, but he wasn't exactly a very good brother as well because he threw his very own sister under the bus by revealing Queen to be his sister, Melanie Bolkonsky.
As for Jack... well Jack turned out to be a person named Dolokov Krushnic. He hadn't been involved in this little gang for more than two years but for some reason he made it to the states with Ace and Queen as well as the King.
But frankly, Beau didn't care about all of those details. That was Agent Sampson's territory. All Beau really wanted was Andre taken care of.
The only thing that Beau could say was positive about this situation that Andre would be proven guilty when it came to your assault. He deserved to do some time and Beau was determined to make that happen, at least for your sake. He didn’t want you to ever have to see that man again.
When Beau stepped out of the observation room to clear his head of the fact that Harlen Sampson just made a deal with a devil, he could hear his phone begin to ring. He lifted a brow and fished the device from his pocket before he looked down at the screen, noticing a number he didn’t recognize.
Nonetheless he answered the phone and lifted it up to his ear, “Sheriff Arlen. Who’s this?”
Beau’s eyes widened the moment that he heard your voice on the other line. His heart skipped a beat. You were alive after all! He hoped you were safe and out of harms way at least for the time being.
“Beau? It’s Y/N…”
“Y/N? How did you get to a phone? Are you okay?” Beau asked in a hurry.
“I’m as okay as I can be,” Beau listened, although your connection wasn’t exactly the greatest, “I was able to get away from Ace and Jack. I, uh… I stabbed Jack and I think he needs some serious help.”
“You stabbed someone?” Beau questioned. He wasn’t sure whether to be concerned our proud. Perhaps he was a mix of both at the moment.
‘That’s my girl…’ He thought to himself, proud of you for the self defense and being able to get away.
“Y/N, I need you to tell me where you are. The sooner we get there the sooner that we can come and find you.” Beau insisted.
“They took the van to try and get out of town but the roads were blocked. Then they drove to some back roads. I think I’m close to where Sunny used to have her luxury camp site before it shut down but I can’t tell for sure.” He heard you say and he knew exactly where you were talking about.
“Beau, I’m not sure how to even get back into town from h-“
That was when the line finally cut out and Beau slipped the phone back into his pocket before he looked around and saw Agent Sampson and Jenny walking out of the interrogation room as well.
“Hoyt, we need to head out to where Sunny and her husband used to have their camp grounds.”
“What? Why, did you find something?”
“I just got a call from Y/N. She managed to get away from Ace and Jack and she took one of their phones. She said they were taking some kind of back road and she thinks she’s in that spot. And Sampson, maybe we can track this phone she’s using.” Beau insisted.
“Great, what was the number on the phone?” The agent said and Beau pulled up the number again and forwarded it to him so he could track it down in the computer system.
“Let’s get some back up. We’ll also need to get an ambulance for Jack when we know the location.” The Sheriff said and Jenny looked up at him.
“An ambulance for the kidnapper? We’d better hustle before he’s D.O.A. What happened to him?” She asked as she followed Beau out of the door so they could get to that back road to find you.
“Y/N was in a confrontation and she stabbed him. She told me he needed an ambulance and didn’t know how he was doing.”
Beau heard Jenny chuckle as the two of them got into his truck so they could ride together, “She’s got to be the only kidnap victim I’ve seen that showed concern for her kidnapper after she stabbed him.”
“I think a part of it is because she doesn’t want to get charged for murder or something.”
“Well that I can understand, but I don’t think there will be charges against her considering she was kidnapped, assaulted, and who knows what else could have happened if she stayed longer or even ticked off one of them.” Hoyt said while the sheriff started the car and started driving off.
“Well, at least this is all good news to tell Cadence. I know she’s been worried sick about Y/N. She hasn’t returned to the cafe yet and it’s still closed until we get Y/N back. She said she was determined to see her as soon as we get her back.” Jenny spoke and Beau grinned.
He was just glad that nothing’s happened to your sister and that she was safe for the time being. He was ready to get you home to your sister, ready to get this whole ordeal over with.
Agent Sampson texted Beau the last known location of the phone and sure enough it was on the road that you had described.
“Sampson’s got it, so let’s head over and he said that he’s already on his way with some backup.” Jenny insisted and Beau nodded as he focused on the road.
He was so close yet again and this time, Beau was determined to get you back once and for all. He couldn’t afford to let you slip through his fingertips again.
Not this time.
When the phone cut out, you cursed and you looked around to make sure that you weren’t followed.
When you felt like you were safe enough to stop walking, you sat down beneath the tree. You were glad you were still holding onto the knife you took from Jack and you were trying to cut your way through the zip ties. It was an awkward angle but you were trying your best to break free without cutting your own skin more than it already was.
Finally you broke free and you discarded the plastic to the side of you and you rubbed your sore wrists. Then you took a deep breath of relief. Then you tried to think of where you could possibly hide incase Jack decided to chase you despite his wound, or if Ace woke up after being knocked out.
You winced as you stood up again. You hadn’t realized how much your muscles started to ache after your endeavors these past few days. Your feet throbbed from walking without shoes. On top of that, it was starting to get cold. You wished you had worn a hoodie when you were kidnapped. Plus, you knew you probably smelled terrible since you hadn’t been able to shower in several days.
That might just be the first thing that you do when you return home after hugging your baby sister…
Cadence.
You wondered how Cadence was doing. Had Beau checked in on her, or Hoyt for that matter? You hoped that she was alright and that she was taking care of herself, despite the circumstances.
You ran your fingers through your matted hair and you decided to start walking again, searching for some sort of cabin that might of been in the area. Surely there was some storage place or something for the campers that was around before Sunny shut down her site. You searched everywhere, cringing every once in a while when you stepped on a twig with a branch facing upwards.
But after a while of walking, you finally came across some kind of shelter to hide in until Beau came to get you. If you were able to stay put anyways.
You walked into the old cabin that was a little dusty since the last time anyone’s been inside was who knows how long. You sat down somewhere else and you simply waited.
Luckily for you, you had a little more hope now than you had this afternoon after that talk with Beau. Now it was only a matter of time before you would be home. Things were finally looking up and you hoped that you wouldn’t have to be on the run again anytime soon. Hope, you supposed, would be the key word.
The moment that you heard thunder, you had a sinking feeling in your chest. While you were running, you had no idea how cloudy it had become. Then, a subtle tapping on the window caused you to turn and look outside.
Looks like you made it to some shelter just in time.
You looked down at your feet and realized that you couldn't exactly feel your toes with how cold it was starting to get. So you started walking around the cabin to see if you could find a pair of socks, or maybe some work boots someone just happened to leave in there.
As you were looking around, you walked passed a mirror. You did a double take when you realized what you walked passed and you decided to take a look at yourself.
You definitely looked like a wreck. Your hair was tangled, you had some circles beneath your eyes from lack of sleep since you were more concerned with escaping. You cringed when you saw some marks on your neck from where Andre had his hands on you. It made you feel so incredibly gross. On the bright side they were starting to fade, but you still wanted to shower more than anything.
You were honestly amazed that you hadn't fallen apart yet. Maybe when you got home, you could take a bath and just let everything out since you haven't had the chance yet.
Thunder rang out and it seemed to echo loudly, causing you to jump back int reality instead of thinking about going home. You walked out of the window to see if you had either been followed or if you could see any officers outside.
'They'll find me. They're on their way now.' You reminded yourself. The thought itself was reassuring.
Beau and Jenny made it to the last known location of the phone you were using to call and sure enough, Jack was there bleeding and he was lucky the paramedics were right behind the Sheriff and Deputy. They pulled up a few moments after and got to work on getting Jack on the stretcher so they could take him to the hospital.
But there was a problem: Where was Ace?
You said that you had knocked Ace out, so where was his body?
"We need to hurry. Who knows if Ace has found Y/N yet if he's up and at 'em already." Jenny said and Beau nodded as some officers started to scout the area for Ace.
Beau was just glad that he and Jenny knew of this place better than Ace did, considering they had to come through this place for a previous case before they shut the camp grounds down. Now Beau just wondered if you knew this place at least well enough to stay away and hidden from your captors.
"What if she ended up finding the cabin where's Sunny's kid stayed for a while?" Beau asked and Jenny thought about it.
"It's worth a shot. Let's hope she found it before Ace found her." The deputy agreed and the two of them started heading in that direction.
That was when the thunder and the rain started and Beau cursed to himself. This is exactly something they needed while they were on a search. Wonderful.
"Should have brought some kind of umbrella or something." He said and Jenny smiled a little and agreed.
"To be fair, though, the priority wasn't exactly checking the weather." She reminded him, "Let's just hope that we find Y/N soon and that she'll actually be there this time."
"She will be there. She's got to be." Beau insisted.
After all, he and Jenny as well as Agent Sampson all got to the search as soon as they could while some had to stay behind and see what other info they could gather on Andre's little group.
That was when they found the cabin and a sense of relief washed over Beau as he started to run over to it. Then he started hearing a ruckus, other than the thunder that was booming around him.
Beau's eyes widened when he heard the sound of broken glass, as if there was some sort of confrontation coming from the inside. Jenny made it onto the porch as well and judging by the look on her face, Beau knew he wasn't the only one hearing some kind of commotion from the inside.
Beau knocked on the door, "This is Sheriff Arlen. Open the door!" He called on, but there was no answer.
"Well, at least you gave a heads up that you're here." Jenny backed up so Beau would have the room he needed, then Beau used all the force he could and he kicked the door down before going inside with his pistol in front of himself.
The sight in front of Beau naturally had to be alarming.
Ace, though he had an obvious bump on his head from where you had knocked him out, was holding up a knife against your throat as he turned around to face Beau and Jenny.
"Ace, let her go and nobody gets hurt." Beau said sternly.
"You're kidding, right? This bitch stabbed Jack, gave me one Hell of a knot on my head that might be a concussion. She's ruined everything Andre, Melanie and I have built!" Ace said with so much anger.
"You're joking, right? Andre doesn't care about you." Beau said, wondering if the betrayal would be enough to at least get you out of his grasp. "He sold you and Melanie, as well as Jack out just so he can serve less jail time."
"So what? He can get all of us out of this and we can make bail." He said.
"Not this time. What part of sold you out don't you get? The FBI is here and everything, and Andre just handed them all kinds of ammunition against you to put you away not only for Y/N's kidnapping, but for the whole operation." Jenny added.
Ace clenched his jaw before he looked down at you, his gaze turning to a hateful glare, "This is all your fault!"
Just as Ace raised his hand to try and stab you, Beau shot his pistol and wounded Ace in his side. Your assailant dropped the knife in surprise and put a hand to his side, backing away from you.
Jenny jogged over to Ace and told him to put his hands behind his back since he was under arrest for kidnapping.
Everything was happening so quickly for you. You couldn't believe Beau just shot someone and now Jenny was arresting him. But you looked at the sheriff and he rushed over to you.
You did the only thing you could think of to do, and that was to wrap your arms around him and give him the tightest hug that you could, "You found me..."
"I'm sorry that it took so long, Darlin'.. We came as fast as we could." You felt the warmth of his embrace while his arms were wrapped around you and you could feel his head rest on top of yours.
"I'll give you two a minute and get Ace to the paramedic." You could hear Jenny say as she escorted Ace out of the cabin to get him to the car. But you and Beau stayed right there for a moment.
You were grateful that he finally came and rescued you. It gave you an immense peace of mind now that he was there and you wouldn't be in cuffs or zip ties again. You wouldn't be trapped in a basement anymore and you wouldn't have to be on the run in a forest.
You must've been trembling and not have realized it because the next thing you knew, Beau released you from his grasp and he took off his jacket before he wrapped it around your shoulders.
"Come on, let's get you out of here. Wait, what happened to your shoes?" Beau asked you and you looked down at your muddy feet.
"They grabbed me before I could slip on some shoes. Guess they were in a rush." You said with a slight chuckle.
Beau smiled, glad that you still had a little humor left in you despite the circumstances. "Here, let me carry you."
"Beau, you really don't have to do that. I can walk on my own two feet." She said and Beau picked you up anyway.
"Sweetheart, it wasn't a request." He said and your arms naturally wrapped around his neck while your legs dangled from one of his arms. It was sweet that he was doing this but somehow you felt like it was a little unnecessary. You were just another captive and he was just a cop doing his job.
Beau carried you out through the woods and made it to the car. You didn't see Ace and Jack's van anywhere. In fact, you didn't even see the two of them, which was relieving.
"What happened with Jack? I didn't kill him, did I?" You asked as Beau placed you in the car.
"I don't think you did. He's wounded, yeah, but I don't think it was in a fatal spot but the paramedics have him handled. You don't need to worry about him, or Andre for that matter."
You looked up at him almost instantly, “You were able to catch him too?”
“Of course we were, Sweetheart. Although… we do need to take you to the Emergency Room. It’s routine, plus we need for you to do a rape kit.”
That sounded so humiliating, but you knew it was necessary - especially if they needed evidence against Andre. You just hoped that they could get whatever they needed to so Andre would stay away from you.
Luckily for you, the ER visit didn’t take long and when you visited the department to identify Andre as the culprit so they would have an eye witness account on record as well as your statements, they gave you a change of clothes and some shoes that way you had something to take into.
Once all of the ‘protocol’ was taken care of, Beau took you into his car so he could take you home. And you were so excited to be there.
When you made it there, you saw your front door open and Cadence stepped out slowly. When you got out of the car you could see the biggest smile light up your sister’s face as she ran over to you. She have you the biggest hug as she possibly could- although you felt like you couldn’t breathe from how hard she was squeezing.
“Oh my god, I can’t believe you’re home! I’m so glad you’re okay! I’m so sorry that I even suggested that you go on a date with that scumbag! I missed you so much!” Cadence rambled and you hugged her back.
“Cadence, I’m okay. You didn’t know any of this would have happened and neither did I. It’s okay. I’m back home and that’s all that matters.”
When Cadence finally let go of you, she hugged Beau as tightly as she could, “Thank you so much for getting her back! I knew that you would!”
Beau chuckled and gave your sister a little hug and patted her back a little, “Like I would let your sister stay missing.”
“Why don’t you come inside! We need to celebrate the fact that Y/N is back now, and you could use a break while the FBI handles the case from here on out, right?” Your little sister suggested when she let go of the hug.
“I don’t know. That just depends on how Y/N is feeling. She’s had a long several days after all.” The sheriff said and you decided to step over and you held his hand.
“Please? It’s the least we can do after all you’ve done to find me. Maybe we can order a pizza or something while we make some kind of dessert or something like that.” You said.
Of course you were tired and worn out but at the same time, you would feel safer if Beau stayed at least a little longer incase there were other people out there that were a part of Andre’s group. You didn’t know if Queen was out there looking for you or what she would do if she found you.
Beau could tell that you were still a little wary and he gave you a softened smile as he squeezed your hand a little.
“I could go for some pizza. But take it easy, we can always do dessert or something some other time.” He said and you smiled a little. With that, Beau, you and your sister all walked inside the house.
Once you got washed up, you put on fresh clothes of your own. You wore a black hoodie that had your favorite band’s logo, some yoga pants since they were comfortable and stretchy, and you put on a pair of fuzzy socks. Your hair was still damp so you used a claw-clip to put it up so it wouldn’t make your back wet.
When you had changed and returned to the living room, you saw Cadence and Beau on the couch with a spot in between them for you to sit.
“You got out just in time, Sis. Pizza should be here within the next ten minutes or so.” Cadence said. This was probably the happiest you had seen her in a long time.
“That honestly sounds great.” You said with a chuckle and sat down in the space between them.
“I’ll go get us some drinks while we wait. Do you two want anything? Sorry we don’t have the good coffee here Beau otherwise I’d make your usual.” Cadence said and you smiled when you heard Beau let out a chuckle.
“Just some water would be great.” He said and you asked for the same thing. With some pep to her step, Cadence went to the kitchen.
She was never one to be able to sit still when she was excited.
You leaned against Beau and you felt his arm wrap around you. His hold was gentle, different from how your captors handled you. You knew that with Beau, you were safe.
“Thank you… for not giving up on looking for me.” You whispered softly and you could feel him leaning down, only to feel his beard tickling the skin of your temple when he places a soft kiss on the side of your head.
“There’s no way in Hell I’d give up looking for you.” He promised.
Not long afterward, the pizza finally came and the three of you ate together and watched something uplifting. It was an effort to keep your mind off the upcoming court dates and what not that you would have to go through for this ordeal to ensure Andre and his group would go away for good.
Either way, you knew one thing was for sure…
You were more than thankful for Beau Arlen. Deep down even before your sister suggested you go out with Andre, you knew who your heart belonged to even if it was never really spoken.
But most importantly…
You were home.
Hi everyone!!! Thank your for your support with this story! I hope you enjoyed!! Stay tuned for an Epilogue for more Beau content~

𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 (pt4)
(Beau Arlen x Female Reader)
(masterlist)
𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: Beau is still wrapped up in this case and he needs to contact the FBI for help. Although he’s still skeptical of this Andre fellow. After your date with Andre goes south, you find yourself into a bit of trouble.
𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: some backstory of the reader, mentions of a homicide crime scene, kidnapping, Andre has suspicious behavior, reader is starting to be a little cautious of Andre.
“You mean you’re going on two dates?! Y/N, I didn’t think you’d ever go on dates with two separate guys like that! Good for you!” Cadence chuckled as she watched her sister struggle with her hair.
“I told you, the movie night with Beau isn’t a date! He said he anted to make things up to me for missing last night and a different movie night was all I could think of.” You tried to explain. You didn’t want to have that kind of reputation of dating multiple guys at the same time.
“And yet you told Beau that this thing with Andre is a friend date. You know Andre meant it to be like, you know, an actual date, right?”
“Well I mean I guess? I’m just trying to get to know the guy. He’s still a stranger so what’s the harm in getting to know him and show him around town as a friend?” You asked and Cadence rolled her eyes at you.
“You need to work on your clarification skills. Although the timing of Beau’s day off couldn’t be any worse!”
“To be fair, you volunteered me for this date, remember?”
“Well I still like you better with Beau but you’re too stubborn when it comes to him. At least you’re taking a shot with Andre!”
You smile and roll your eyes a little. Of course you knew Beau was her first choice for who you ended up with but you’ve been in that conversation with her several times. Maybe it was denial but it was for the best.
“Plus, I only volunteered you because you seriously need to get out more. Ever since that thing from a few years ago, all you do is go to work, sometimes even stay late for no actually good reason, then you come home, watch your shows, then go to bed. What kind of a life is that?” Cadence asked, all you did was stay quiet.
“I know the anniversary is tomorrow, and all I was trying to do is get you to have something to look forward before you start dwelling on the past again. You can’t change what happened and I know how you get when that day comes around.”
Your jaw tightened when your sister started bringing up what happened and you took in a deep breath and continued to try and think of what to do with your hair. You ultimately decided to curl it and pull it into a ponytail, so you broke out your curling iron. Beats the typical messy bun.
“You’re just going to ignore me now?” You heard your sister ask.
“I’m not ignoring you… just soaking everything in. It’s hard for me to go out there for a reason and you know that.”
“Y/N, you should know better than anyone that what happened to Neil was out of anyone’s control. Hell, Neil obviously didn’t even have control because if he did, he would still be here. You couldn’t prevent what happened because he was stubborn and you shouldn’t let that hold you back from dating again.”
The scene flashed through your mind at what you found. Neil was a drug user and he had been one for years. You had begged him to stop because you were worried about what would happen to him one day but he wouldn’t listen. He said that he needed a high because of his stresses from work and he would always say that he wasn’t beating you or abusing you in any way because of the drugs so he wanted you to let him be.
You fought with him about it for years when you were married and one day you decided that it was just a losing battle on your end even if you still loved him and worried about him and his health. One day, you found him on your bed, leaned up against the headboard. His eyes were closed, lips were purple, a needle was on his nightstand and he wasn’t moving. You had rushed to Neil and tried to wake him up but he was unresponsive. When you called 911, the paramedics arrived and pronounced him dead on arrival.
You found it hard to live with yourself after that. Which was why you didn’t want to date anyone after that. You couldn’t lose them whether it’s through an accidental overdose or otherwise.
“He was still my husband, Cadence. I’m going to feel some kind of guilt. I should have seen it coming and I should have pushed harder to get him to stop.” You admitted.
“I’m just glad Neil and I never had children so they wouldn’t have to be without a father, or have to see him like that.”
Cadence sighed a little. This wasn’t exactly the conversation she imagined having with you when you were getting ready for the first date you’ve had in what feels like ages. Maybe she shouldn’t have even brought it up.
“I’m sorry…” She trailed off and tried to think of something else to talk about.
“Well, um… where exactly do you plan on taking Andre? You said you wanted to show him around town.”
“He said that he liked hiking and rock climbing. I thought that maybe I’d show him some places to do some rock climbing then maybe get him some gear to show him where we can hike. Maybe where Sunny and her husband had their camp grounds for a while.” You said, appreciating that Cadence was finally changing the subject.
“What time is it anyway?” You asked and you could see in the mirror that your sister was looking down at her watch.
“Quarter till nine.” She said.
“Shit!” You began to rush and you decided to forget about curling your hair. You were lucky that you were already dressed in something at least decent for this date. It was simply a dark blue pair of jeans and a cream colored blouse with a brown leather jacket.
You pulled your hair into a couple of quick braids and started doing your makeup; something light with a little eyeliner over the top lid in some mascara.
“Right, just a friend date.” Cadence smirked before she walked off to let you finish getting ready before Andre would arrive.
Beau was already at Irene’s house and CSI was there. This was probably one of the more tragic murders he had ever seen in his career. Irene didn’t deserve to go like this and Sean was just trying to help her - even though he was going about it the wrong way.
Irene had been shot and her body was lying on the carpet in her living room while The Golden Girls was playing in the background. On the wall, there was a message written in blood.
‘This isn’t over’ And there was a crown written in blood beside the message.
Beau assumed that it would be this Ace guy again and CSI was collecting any evidence they could to see if any fingerprints would match the cigarette found around the site where Ember and Sidney were found. He has to still be in town right?
“How long are fingerprints supposed to take to find out if there’s a match?” Beau asked Jenny.
He hadn’t even gone home yet after going to your house. He had to take care of this case and he needed to know that they would be able to get this Ace guy out of his town.
“If we are even able to get fingerprints, this shouldn’t take long. But we need to get the FBI involved now before things get worse.” Jenny said.
“You’re right. I’m headed down to the station to get a handle on this now.” Beau said, but he could hear Jenny’s footsteps following him.
“So did you go to Y/N’s last night?” Hoyt asked and Beau lifted a brow slightly as he walked out of the door of the dead woman’s house.
“Can we talk about something relevant please?” He asked, a little irritated. Maybe it was the lack of sleep talking.
“Was it that bad?”
“No, it’s not bad. She made plans with some guy she just met that’s new around here. I think it’s ironic that some guy comes around at the same time as all of this mess starts with the kidnappings and now a murder.” He rambled.
“Oh please, you can’t actually think he has something to do with it. He couldn’t be Ace and we don’t even have anything to have him as a suspect.” She reasoned and Beau rolled his eyes, knowing that she was right and he hated that she was right.
“No, I guess there’s not any suspicion.” He said, although he had a bad feeling.
“Anyway, to answer your question so you won’t ask me later, I went over and apologized like you said and I asked if there as anything I could do to make up for everything. I told her that today would be my day off but like I said she made plans. But she said maybe we could try for a movie night or something at my place this weekend just us.” He said as he walked to the car.
“Just so I don’t ask later, are you okay with her making plans with some guy?” Jenny asked, although she figured she’d know his real answer even if he said something different.
“Considering I don’t have an authority over what she does romantically, no I don’t have a problem with it.” He lied and Jenny rolled her eyes.
“Want company for the ride to the station?” She asked and Beau shrugged.
“Sure, why not? Maybe you can talk to Popsickle about the updates on that cigarette.” The sheriff replied.
“I don’t know if there will be any updates this soon but maybe it’s worth a shot.” Jenny said while Beau started the car.
The two of them eventually made it to the office and while they parted ways and Jenny went to talk to Poppernack, Beau went to his office and shut the door behind him. He sat down in his chair and grabbed the phone before making some phone calls to the FBI to see if this was their kind of thing.
“Hello, this is Sheriff Beau Arlen. I have a case here in Helena Montana that may or may not be linked to the Syndicate.” Beau began and he finally got in touch with an agent.
“Hello, this is Agent Harlen Sampson. I hear you’ve got something involving the Syndicate, Arlen? Whatcha got?” Agent Sampson asked.
“Nothing concrete but I do have some kind of trafficking activity involving a man named Ace. He got this kid named Sean wrapped up in this shit and this Ace guy killed his grandmother before any witness protection was established.” Beau explained.
“Ace… I believe I’ve heard that name come up. No, he’s not part of the Syndicate but he’s a part of another case I’ve been working on for the past six months. Why don’t I meet you there in Helena and we can compare notes? I’ll be on my way first thing in the morning.” The agent said.
“Sounds good, I’ll see you then.”
You had finished brunch with Andre and you both had gone somewhere to go rock climbing. He seemed to be enjoying his time so far and you were glad he seemed happy. So far you were distracted from the anniversary coming up, as well as the twinge of guilt you felt after Beau came over last night.
Once you made it to the top of the rock tower, you rung the little bell and started to swing down a bit. When you got to the bottom and unlatched yourself from everything, you started looking for Andre and noticed he wasn’t anywhere to be seen.
You started walking around and when you made it around a corner, you saw Andre on the phone again and he looked a little frustrated over something. You walked towards him and only caught a glimpse of what he was saying.
“I thought you took care of the issue. He’s caused enough attention as it is. We’ve had enough complications, now you tell me the business in Canada is failing?”
Complications? What issue was Andre talking about? Is their jewelry business in trouble? You couldn’t imagine what it was like to be in charge of something like Andre was, and you didn’t envy him for it either. But what attention was he talking about?
Andre glanced up at you and he gave a slight grin before he went back to the conversation, “Just get things under control, especially in Canada. I’ll call you back.” Then he hung up the phone and he started walking over.
“Is everything alright?” You asked and tilted your head a little.
“Of course, Love. Just some minor problems with a branch overseas. But it’ll be handled soon.”
Something felt off about his so called business issues. You wondered if there was more to Andre than you initially assumed. You just hoped that maybe you were just over thinking things. He couldn’t have been some kind of criminal. He was just some guy looking to expand his business and there was nothing illegal about that.
“Okay. As long as everything’s alright.” You said and you rubbed the back of your neck. “Hey, why don’t we go looking around for some properties? I think Tonya has some land up for sale still and maybe we can look into some options for your shop.”
Andre smiled a little and he nodded, “Yeah, I think that’ll be a good idea. But I need to fill up the truck with gas first.”
When the both of you got into the truck, he pulled up to a gas station and grabbed his card from his wallet, but he left his wallet in the car before stepping out to the pump. You bit your lip and started to grow curious.
You glanced down at the wallet and you grabbed it and opened it up before you saw his ID.
Andre Bolkonsky
It sounded Russian. Reminded you of Andrey from the musical Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812. But obviously your Andre didn’t have a Russian accent or anything like that so maybe it was just a family name and he had some ancestry in Russia. Who knew.
You closed the wallet and pulled out your phone. You typed out his name in your notes app in case you would need to do some sort of background check on this guy. Something inside of you was telling you to send a message to Jenny.
After opening up your messages, you went to Jenny’s messages and started typing.
Y/N: Hey, Jenny. I was wondering if you could do me a favor and look up the name Andre Bolkonsky for me. I don’t know that much about him and with the kidnappings that happened, I don’t want to put Cadence or anyone in danger.
Soon enough you got a response back.
JH: Sure thing! I know paranoia is a bit of a thing and I get wanting your sister safe. Does Beau know you want a background on this guy?
Y/N: No, and right now I’d like to keep it that way. He’s got enough on his plate as sheriff.
The sound of the truck door opening up broke you from your train of thought and you could see through your peripheral that Andre was getting in the car and buckling up again. Then the two of you started driving off.
“You know, you aren’t really sneaky.” Andre said as he continued to drive.
“What are you talking about?”
“What were you going through my wallet for?”
“Oh… I just realized I didn’t know your last name. I was curious and you left the wallet in the cup holder.” You admitted.
“You know, you could have just asked.” He reminded you and you started to get a sick feeling in the pit of your stomach. He wouldn’t do anything rash in broad daylight would he?
“You aren’t that upset about it are you? It was just stupid curiosity and you’re right, I should have just asked.” You said and when you looked at him, he seemed calm. You couldn’t read him so you honestly couldn’t tell if he was mad or just in his own head.
“I know you’re friends with the cops, and I know that you may have heard of some cases they tell you about. But is it really necessary for you to go through other people’s things? Come on, we were having a good time before you got all curious.”
“Look, I said I was sorry. I understand if you just want to take me home instead of looking for that place for the shop.”
“Good idea. I’ll look into that Tonya lady you were telling me about.”
You sighed and looked out of the window.
Great, you ruined a perfectly good date. Cadence would never let you hear the end of this one.
You were home about fifteen minutes later and you simply exited the car. So now you were in a t-shirt and some shorts instead of what you wore that morning. Several hours had gone by and you were watching the television.
Of all the ways things could have gone, you had to come off as untrusting. Wonderful.
When you looked outside you saw that it was finally getting dark. You knew that Cadence would be coming home eventually after she’d close the shop.
You got up from the couch and decided to go in the kitchen and make some popcorn. When you heard a ding from your phone you pulled it from the pocket of your shorts and saw that Jenny had texted back.
JH: There’s nothing on him as far as anything concerning. His family’s got a few shops, one of which is in Canada. He seems to be more of a stand in for a sibling that wants the company. I can do some other digging if there’s something you’re worried about. Heard you had a date with him, how did it go?
Before you could answer, you thought you heard a noise. You looked up from your phone and peeked into your living room and you didn’t see anyone there. Maybe you were just hearing things.
You set your phone down on the counter and you walked into your living room. Then you heard another noise. It sounded like it was coming from the back yard.
Perhaps it was nothing, and you were hoping that it wasn’t anything major. But that was when you heard a window breaking and your eyes widened. You rushed over to the fireplace and grabbed one of the pokers for firewood. You had to have some kind of self defense, right?
You gripped the brass poker tightly in your hand and cautiously walked through your halls, unsure of what would be waiting for you or if you would even be prepared for what was coming. Maybe you should have gotten yourself a gun for the house and you should have taken some kind of safety course. But none of that mattered now and you had to focus.
The sound was coming from your room and you saw that a tall, muscular figure with a black mask was rummaging through your things. But unbeknownst to you, he wasn’t the only intruder in your home.
Someone grabbed your arm that was holding the poker and pulled you into his chest before he covered your nose and mouth with some kind of cloth. Your vision grew blurry and the last thing you saw was the first man coming towards you. On his mask, you could faintly see embroidery of an ace card before everything turned black.
Hey everyone! Thank you for reading! And thank you to those of you who have been leaving comments! The feedback is greatly appreciated! I hope you all are enjoying, and there is more to come to this story very soon!

𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 (pt. 6)
(Beau Arlen x Female Reader)
(masterlist)
𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: Beau is working restlessly to get you back and it’s killing him that it’s already been several hours with no sign of you. Agent Sampson is doing his best to remind Beau to keep a level head so Beau could get you back sooner rather than later. Meanwhile, you are doing everything you can to persevere and think of a way put of your situation with the limited recourses you have- which is next to none.
𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: kidnapping, TW: implications of non-con (no graphic detail), mild violence, i think that’s it?
You knew that several hours had gone by since you were taken from your home. That meant today was the anniversary of your husband’s death. What a hell of a day to spend it, being kidnapped and potentially taken out of the country within a couple of days. You still had yet to formulate any plans of escape.
The worst part is that you knew if you didn’t get out of this mess, you’d likely never see Beau again. That and you had plans for a movie night with him that weekend. Plans that were gone with the wind by now if you weren’t able to escape.
You wondered if Beau had told Cadence yet. You wondered what exactly he told her. You wondered if she’d be able to handle the news, if she would be okay. You hoped that she wouldn’t worry too much or she would find some way to distract herself from what was going on. She was your little sister and you hated when she worried about you. To be frank, you hated when anyone worried about you. Obviously you couldn’t exactly blame anyone for worrying about you with the situation you’re in now.
You were leaned back against the wall of the basement and you looked down at your wrists. These handcuffs weren’t your biggest concern. If you were lucky you could wiggle your wrists out of them. Then again you’ve tried that for the first couple of hours and the skin on your wrists was already cut and scabbed. You’d handle your wrists again soon but for now you were trying to think of how to get the chain off your ankle.
A part of you was glad you were barefooted when they took you. You thought that pulling your foot out would be difficult with shoes and socks on. The other part of you wished you had some shoes though because you felt like your toes were freezing. It’s not like they had a heater in this particular basement.
“Come on, think. You’ve watched cop shows once in a while, and Beau’s talked about cases where captives have escaped before. You can do this.” You spoke to yourself. However, you didn’t exactly have bobby pins in your hair or paper clips so you could pull one of those moves like you’ve seen in the movies where people pick their way out of their shackles.
All you could really do at the moment was wait. Be patient, continue to wiggle your limbs until you were free but who knew how long that would take. And unfortunately, patience was not exactly your strong suit.
Suddenly you heard the door open and when you glanced up, you saw the King. Andre was there without his mask and he had a crown pin on the top left corner of his blazer jacket. He looked so different compared to the first day that the two of you met.
“What do you want.” You glared and Andre hummed a little.
“I just wanted to talk, Sweetheart.”
“Don’t call me that.”
Andre sighed a little before he walked towards you. You wished you had some kind of superpower to just teleport out of here, or maybe even make yourself invisible. If you could shrink and disappear into the wall, you would. Anything to just avoid the man in front of you. Obviously you couldn’t do that though.
“Aren’t you in the wrong position to be giving demand’s like that?” He asked but then Andre looked down and saw how your wrists were starting to scab over and he tilted his head a little.
“I suppose its a good thing those cuffs aren’t any bigger.” The chuckle he let out made you feel sick to your stomach.
“What did you want to talk about so we can just get this bit over with.”
“Touchy touchy. I was just going to suggest that… maybe you can work for me personally. That way you don’t have to go out of the country soon and be sold off as a slave. You could be here although… you would have to give your business to me, and not have any contact with your little sheriff friend.” He said.
“There’s no way I’d give in to something like that. That business would go to Cadence before it could ever go to someone like you.”
“Cadence… you know, she would have made a good candidate too for this little operation. She’s such a sweetheart.”
“Shut up.” You seethed and he squatted down in front of you before he reached out, the next thing you knew he had your jaw in his hands and you could feel his fingertips keeping a firm hold of your face.
“If you were smart, you’d watch your tone with me.” He said and you spat in his face.
His eyes darkened as he let out low growl of disapproval, “You’ll pay for that. And you’ll pay dearly. So be a dear and keep quiet.”
Your eyes widened when he gripped at your shirt and tore the material….
Cadence took the news pretty hard, just like Beau knew that she would. It killed him to see the way her face fell when she found out her sister was taken. All he could really advise her to do was close up the cafe if she didn’t have anyone to keep it open for her if she needed time away.
Much to Beau’s surprise though, Cadence agreed to keep the cafe open and just keep working. Cadence said you would have wanted her to be strong for your sake. Although she did agree to take the first couple of days off just to see if you would come home and you would have someone to go home to.
After he met up with Cadence and took her home, Beau went right back to the office to find out if Hoyt or Poppernack have found anything, or even if Agent Sampson was making himself useful. He swore that if the FBI were going to drag their feet on this he may end up having to take care of everything himself, or get Cassie to help him out since she didn’t have the same rules as the FBI.
Once he pushed the doors open he saw that some other agents were there, no doubt a part of Harlen Sampson’s team.
“Pompernickle!” Beau called and looked around only to see a hand raised up.
“Right here, Boss!”
Beau walked over and stood behind the deputy at his desk, “Please tell me you’ve found something to get to Sampson.”
“Actually, the fingerprints we found over at Irene’s place did in fact match the ones that were at Y/N’s house. We just got the results from the database. Somebody was slacking here in Montana.” He said.
“And who’s that supposed to be?”
“Our guy Ace? He wasn’t the only one at you houses. There were two sets of prints. We found out that this Ace guy is related to your Andre fella. A cousin, actually. His name is Matvey, or simply Mat, Bolkonsky. Related on the paternal side.” Poppernack said just as Agent Sampson walked up.
“Another Bolkonsky, huh? He was born and raised Russian and he tried to move down here when Andre’s father started their so called jewelry company. Turns out he wasn’t really the best of the bunch and he was charged with drug dealing. He ended up getting a kid killed with those drugs about seven years ago. Naturally he was charged with second degree murder, unfortunately he got out for good behavior with parole. And we haven’t heard anything on him since, although he has been a suspect for other gang related activities and I don’t think murder and kidnapping is out of his range.” The agent said.
“So what does that mean? If he’s here and he’s with Andre, we can go over to Andre’s place and ask about aiding a suspect if he was the one that did kidnap Y/N right? Well what are we waiting for?” Beau said.
“Legitimate proof that Andre was there too. We’re waiting on the results for the second set of fingerprints. We also need to consider the idea that Andre may not have known about this.” Agent Sampson replied and Beau’s hands turned into fists.
“You’re kidding me, right? To me this sounds like enough to at least have an interview with the guy since you’re so intent on doing this by the book. We’ve gone on less even if this is circumstantial.” The sheriff reminded.
“If I may say something,” Poppernack chimed in, “If you do have that interview with him, there is a reason. He was the last known person to have seen Y/N after all so if we propose it as simply routine questions to cross him off the list as a suspect, he may be cooperative.”
“I’m on it.” Beau said and was about to walk past the desk.
“You aren’t going by yourself. Someone like you is going to go there and bite his head off and ruin everything. I’ll be going with you.” Agent Sampson said.
“No offense, Agent, but I’m pretty damn good at my job and I know what the hell I’m doing. I’ve been in this job long enough to know how to handle a situation like this. I’m not some damn rookie.”
“Fine, but I’m still going with you so it at least looks good on the papers. It is technically the FBI’s case still and we want these guys to go away for good. So try to keep that in mind while you’re trying to keep your cool.” He reminded as he walked out of the door.
Beau just glared at the agent. He knew Sampson was right about doing this by the book, but it still ticked him off. He wasn’t about to waste time on this. Sure he’ll do this by-the-book interview. But the moment things go south, Beau may need to make some plans to conduct an interview all on his own.
The sheriff went to his car and the agent ended up following him to the vehicle and they got in.
“Listen, I know you’re angry and I don’t know what kind of connection you have to the… captive.” Beau could hear the agent begin to speak, “I’ve been where you are with my wife before. It’s vital to keep your head on straight.”
“Thanks for the words of wisdom.” Beau rolled his eyes and started his car.
“I’m serious, Arlen. I lost control and nearly lost my wife for good because the perps almost got away with nothing but a slap on the wrist. That’s why we need to get this done right.”
The sheriff looked down at his steering wheel for a moment. Of course he could at least take the words into consideration, but he knew that you were too important to lose. And if this Bolkonsky business were to go south, being too slow with the law may get you lost just as fast as recklessness.
“Let’s just focus on getting Y/N back to her sister. Andre’s our first stop and hopefully we’ll come across another lead like surveillance of Mat participating in suspicious activity.”
Forty-six minutes…
That worst forty-six minutes of your life and you had counted every second if it just to keep from screaming. You didn’t know what Andre was capable of if you ignored his warning and tried to scream or make any sounds.
“Well… I don’t think the clients will mind slightly used goods. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a business to run.” Andre said as he pulled up his pants.
You couldn’t make direct eye contact with this man after what he had done. Your everything ached but you were glad it was finally over.
Andre was nothing but scum of the earth, and even after what happened… you were trying so hard to be strong. But after those forty-six minutes, you were beginning to wonder what the point of strength was if something like this could happen no matter how patient or optimistic a person tried to be.
Then you heard a phone ringing, of course it was Andre’s. When he answered you could see the slightly annoyed features on his face.
“Hello, Sheriff. How can I be of assistance?” He asked.
Your eyes widened.
Beau was on the phone. He was really looking for you! He was looking for you right? You weren’t imagining all of this?
You had to do something, now was your chance! Andre didn’t take your mouth up or anything so you had to do something. This could be your only shot!
“Beau! He has me in some basement! He could go after Cade-“ a harsh stinging erupted on your face from where Andre smacked you.
“Oh no, Sheriff. That’s just some movie I’m watching at a friends house. He has a weird and nearly concerning taste in film. I can come and meet you to talk about the date in just a few moments. Let’s say… Tonya and Donno’s place? I’ve heard they have some great sandwiches. My treat.” Andre said.
The charm that Andre tried to have made you cringe. How disgusting did this man have to be to think he could use charisma like that after what he just did. And how stupid did he think that Beau was?
“Uh huh… I see. My cousin? Oh I didn’t even know he was in town. I suppose great minds of the family think alike. We’ll discuss this more when we aren’t on the phone. If we talked about everything now we’d just be limited to small talk and that’s always awkward.” He laughed.
When the phone call was done, Andre turned and glared at you.
“You’re worried about your sister that much, huh? Well maybe we ought to give you something to worry about now that you may have ruined everything by screaming.” He promised.
Then he walked out of the basement door, locking you up once again.
Your mind started racing. You hoped to what’s god was out there that Beau really did hear you. But on the other hand, you were terrified for your sister’s safety. What if Andre really would send his crew to go after Cadence like they did to you?
You couldn’t have your baby sister go through the same thing you’ve endured. You refused to let that happen.
“Please, Beau… if you heard me at all, send someone to the house to keep Cadence safe.” You pleaded, even though you knew there was no one listening.
You felt something roll down your cheek and when you lifted your cuffed hands to your face, you felt tears. You didn’t realize you were crying and honestly you thought you were a little dehydrated to do that. You supposed you were wrong but maybe the moment Andre mentioned your sister put things a little more into perspective.
“I have to get out of here.” You vowed and looked at your scabbed wrists and started to try and wiggle out of them yet again but you had even more of a reason to escape, more of a reason to try.
Hey guys, I know this chapter was a bit more intense than the previous. But I hope you enjoyed so far. Thank you to those of you who have been commenting, reblogging and liking these chapters. I really appreciate it! Love you all!

𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 (pt. 5)
(Beau Arlen x Female Reader)
(masterlist)
𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: When Beau finds out you have gone missing, he stops at nothing to get you back. You figure out that you regret listening to your sister when it came to going out with Andre. You find out Andre lied about his line of work and you just hope that Beau will. Be able to find you before it’s too late.
𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: Kidnapping, mentions of human trafficking, I think that’s it?
“Hey Beau?” Jenny asked since the two of them were still at the sheriff’s office. She had this sickening feeling in the put of her stomach and she knew you didn’t want Beau to know anything but this was important.
“Have you heard from Y/N at all today?” She asked.
Beau looked up with a brow raised. Why was she asking about you? But come to think of it, he hadn’t heard anything from you after all. Normally you would check in with him even on your days off but he hadn’t heard from you that evening after your date should have been over.
“Actually no, I haven’t. Has she talked to you at all?”
“I heard from her this afternoon. She wanted me to look up the name Andre Bolkonsky. She was just trying to be cautious and this evening when we had some downtime I reached out to her but I haven’t heard anything back.” Jenny explained.
Beau’s jaw clenched as that same feeling that he got when Emily went missing invaded his stomach. “I’ll go check in on her and see if she’s alright. Maybe her phone is just off or on silent.”
That was the hope, but Beau knew he didn’t trust Andre for a reason. Maybe he was somehow linked to this whole Ace thing that was going on. He needed answers and he needed them fast. Preferably before something bad would happen to you.
Beau grabbed his jacket and belongings and left his personal office. His mind was going a mile per millisecond with thoughts of what might have happened. He didn’t know what he would do if something happened to you. He couldn’t imagine what would happen if you ended up in the hands of Ace and whatever circle they’re in.
“Wait, Beau, what’s about the agent that’s coming by?” Jenny said.
“Cover for me. I shouldn’t be gone long. Tell him I needed to do a wellness check or something.” Beau called out as he walked out of the door and headed straight to his car.
He pulled out his phone and dialed your number to try calling you, but it didn’t even ring before it went to voicemail. “Damnit,” he muttered as he pulled out of the parking lot. Your phone must’ve been dead or turned off.
He dialed up the number of your little cafe and your sister picked up the phone, “Thank you for calling Morning Glory Coffee! You’re speaking with Cadence, how can I help you?”
“Cadence? This is Sheriff Arlen. I’m calling to check in on your sister, is she there?”
“Oh hi, Sheriff Arlen! No, I assumed she decided to sleep in at the house after her date yesterday so I didn’t want to disturb her.”
“When was the last time you actually spoke with her?”
“Um.. yesterday. Sometime in the morning when she was getting ready for her date. Is everything okay, Sheriff?” He could hear the worried tone in your sister’s voice.
“Everything should be alright. Jenny and I just haven’t heard from her and we just wanted to check in.”
“Oh… um… okay? I’ll let you know if she comes into the cafe.”
After the phone call, the pit in Beau’s stomach was only growing with that sickening feeling. He was doing his best to keep his head on straight and not overthink the situation. Maybe you were just fine and you forgot to charge your phone last night. Maybe you forgot to pay a bill and your phone got temporarily cut off. Maybe it was nothing to be truly worried about, right?
Finally, Beau made it to your house and he got out of the car. He noticed your vehicle was still there, so maybe there was some hope you were at home just fine. He stepped up to your front porch and knocked on the door, “Y/N?”
No answer.
Beau gulped before he knocked on the door again and called your name a little louder this time. Still there was no answer and that was when his stress levels began to rise. He knew that you were up around this time. If it was this quiet at the house and if you weren’t at the coffee shop, something was wrong.
“Y/N, if you’re in there, I’m coming in!” He called and he went to open the door but as he looked at the doorknob, he found that it had been picked at. Your door was unlocked and he walked in and he pulled out his pistol as a precaution.
Beau searched for you all around the house and there on your kitchen counter, he saw your phone laying there most likely dead since it wasn’t plugged into a charger. As he continued to look for you, he saw that your windows in your bedroom had been shattered and the shards were still on the floor.
“Damnit!” He cursed as he pulled out his phone to call Jenny. Luckily it didn’t take long for her to answer his call.
“Beau? What did you find? Is Y/N alright?”
“No, she’s not here. Her house was broken into and I may need forensics here to collect some evidence.” Beau stated as he scanned your room and saw the poker that belonged next to the fireplace on your bed. When he squinted he swore he could have seen a little bit of red.
“What the hell happened?” He muttered to himself, “Yeah, I definitely need forensics.”
“Got it, we’re on the way. I’m inviting the agent to come along in case this has to do with his case with Ace or not.”
Beau cringed at the idea of you being involved with this case. If that were true then he knew he would have to likely hand the case over to the FBI, hand you over to the FBI.
Even if he hated the idea of handing your case to the FBI, he knew it would have to be done. But of course he would find his way to make sure things got done. He needed to make sure he could get you back sooner rather than later.
Your eyes were slowly opening up, when you reached to rub your head you felt something cold around your wrists. When you looked down, you saw that your hands were cuffed.
Your eyes widened and you started to look at your surroundings only to find that you were trapped in some kind of basement. There was only one lightbulb in the room and it flickered. It was a shitty light but it was enough to make it to where you can at least see a couple of feet in front of you.
You tried your best to remember what happened. You recalled going on a date with Andre, which of course went south. You remembered staying at home when you heard a noise. You remembered the figure wearing a mask with an Ace card embroidered on it.
When you tried to get up and walk to the door, you felt a weight on your left ankle. When you glanced down you saw that you were barefooted and on your ankle there was a chain and the links connected your ankle to the wall. You could only walk as far as the middle of the room directly beneath the lightbulb that may shut off at any moment.
“Beau…” You whispered and when you tried to reach for your pockets, you realized you didn’t have your phone on you.
“Hey! Let me out! What do you want with me!? Let me go!” You shouted.
You didn’t know if anyone could hear you and you couldn’t even reach the door so you could bang on it. You were trapped and you’ve never felt so helpless. You didn’t know what you were supposed to do from here. You didn’t know what you were even able to do from here.
Then, the door across from you opened.
Three people came out, two were men and there was a woman. Each of them had some sort of covering on their face. Of course the first you recognized as Ace. Now that you could see him better, he was wearing a suit and the ski mask he had still had the Ace card.
You tried not to cringe at this idea if you were right about their little theme or whatever. You were imagining that the other man was either “Jack” or “King” and the woman might as well be “Queen.” Sure enough when they stepped further into the light you could see some kind of engraving or insignia on their clothes or masks.
“Who are you and what do you want with me?” You asked.
“Well, your little boyfriend is the reason we lost our goods. Both of those women. And that stupid kid… we should have never hired him.” The guy you assumed was going by Jack said.
“Oh don’t go giving an explanation. She’s just the new chick we’re handing over since we lost those girls. Besides, she got a little too curious about the King.” The Queen said as she glared at you.
The King… Andre? He was a part of this?
“That’s what he gets for trying to date a girl that’s friends with a cop. You know for a guy who’s supposed to be the brains of this thing, he can be pretty stupid.” Jack rolled his eyes.
“Hey, you’re lucky he even let you in on this! Without him, you would still be some punk ass errand boy for our dad.”
Dad? Wait, the Queen, is this supposed to be Andre’s sister? You thought she was supposed to be in school, or was that just some other lie he told you. Maybe this was the family business and they never had a jewelry business in the first place.
You couldn’t tell which was worse, which one hurt more: the situation that you were in or the fact that a guy you thought you could at least start dating lied to you before anything could get started between you two.
“Anyways.” Ace interrupted, getting a little too annoyed with Jack and the Queen, “You’re coming on a little trip. Don’t worry, Jack and I got you a little passport made. Hope you don’t get air sick.”
What? There was no way you were going out of the country. You had to figure a way out of this mess! You couldn’t leave your sister behind. There were so many things going through your mind, yet you stayed quiet.
“I hope you don’t think your little knight in shining armor, the sheriff, is gonna come after you. I’m sure he’s already called the FBI because of that stupid kid and his grandmother. There’s no way he’ll be able to be hands on with this case. With getting you back.” the Queen said and your heart sank.
You had to hope though. You couldn’t lose that hope. You knew Beau was a determined and headstrong man. You had to cling on the hope that he’d find a way.
Then you heard a phone ringing.
“Damnit, it’s the King.” Jack said and the Queen took the phone from Jack and answered.
“Yeah?” Queen answered, “Are you kidding? What do you mean we have to wait a couple of days?” She said and then there was a longer pause.
“Higher ups… of course he’d have something to do with it. Just let us know when to move the cargo.” She continued and that was your small miracle. At least you weren’t leaving until a few days from now. You didn’t know what the phone call was about and you didn’t care about the details.
You just hoped it was enough time for Beau to find you.
Beau was back in the office with Agent Sampson and they were comparing their notes about this case involving Ace.
“He’s not the only one. They have this whole charade thing. There’s the King, the Queen, Jack and Ace. The four of them have been involved in the states recently but from what I can tell, the women they’ve stolen are a part of an international circle. Their recent activity outside of the states has been Canada, and from my internal source… there’s been talk of extension and they plan to go to Russia.” Sampson said.
“I see. Hoyt and I have reason to believe that Y/N was taken by these people. She messaged Hoyt asking us to look into a man named Andre Bolkonsky. Hoyt said she couldn’t find anything illegal on him but do you happen to know anything about him?” Beau asked.
“Unfortunately since it is a federal case I can’t talk too much about it, but I can say that you’re right to suspect him, and Andre is not who he says that he is. We’ll be looking into him now that we know he’s here in Montana.” Agent Sampson confirmed.
“We need a reason to get a warrant for Andre’s property, he has to know where she is.” Beau said and the agent sighed.
“Arlen, I like you. But unfortunately you’re forgetting how this works. There’s a personal interest for you on this case and if you are the one that gets the warrant, the judge may not get it to you due to conflict of interest.” He explained and Beau rolled his eyes.
“You’re not really expecting me to take the bench on this one, are you? I can’t just sit back and do nothing.”
“Of course, especially since you don’t seem to be the guy that stands down easily. So I’m not benching you, but you do need to take the back seat on this one so things can go smoothly. One wrong move and if things go wrong legally, you may lose Y/N because those guys slipped through our fingertips.”
Beau looked down at the file and hated that the agent was right. But he knew that this case had to be done right before he lost you for good. He’d never forgive himself if he let you suffer the same fate as the other women that have been taken.
“Fine, we’ll do this by the book. But we need that warrant now. If I can’t be the one that gets it then Hoyt can. I need to go tell Cadence what’s going on so she can go home. Someone needs to stay there incase Y/N somehow finds her way back home.” Beau said.
Once the two men got up, they parted ways. Beau got into his car and went straight to the coffee shop and he had to think of what the hell he was supposed to tell your sister. How would she take the news?
More importantly, how the hell were they supposed to find you if they didn’t know where to look? What kind of dirt could Harlen Sampson get on Andre. Would they be able to arrest him and interrogate him?
Then it his Beau.
Sean.
Beau pulled out his phone and called up Jenny for a moment.
“Arlen? What’s up?” He heard Jenny’s voice on the other line.
“I need you to talk to Agent Sampson about Sean’s case with his grandmother. See if we can link Andre to Irene’s murder in any way so we can bring him in. I’m headed to the coffee shop to talk to Cadence.” Beau said.
“I’ll see what I can do. If anything we can look at Irene’s house again or check the file for some kind of evidence. It’s kind of a long shot and there may not even be a guarantee.” Jenny tried to warn.
“Do whatever you can. If Andre isn’t this Ace guy, find out who is.” Beau insisted before he hung up the phone and drove off.
“We’ll find you, Y/N. I promise.” The Sheriff vowed to himself.
Hello everyone! Thank you for your patience, I know it has been a while since I’ve posted for this story. There’s more to come soon!

𝒮𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓉 𝒮𝑒𝒸𝓇𝑒𝓉𝓈
(Beau Arlen x Female Reader)
𝚛𝚎𝚚𝚞𝚎𝚜𝚝: Oh okay. Dean Winchester and Beau Arlen for all of them. Secret Santa and you’d look cute as an elf for both. Sitting by a fire. Both. Yes to alllll (@hobby27)
Thank you so much for your request and I hope that you enjoy this Beau Arlen story. Sorry it took so long to publish. I thought the Secret Santa idea would be cute for Beau! I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. I hope you have had a Merry Christmas this year and I hope you have the best start to the New Year! 🎄❤️
𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: You’ve moved to Montana a month ago and you’re loving your new environment especially since you are closer to your aunt. Little do you realize that a Secret Santa gift would be more than what you expected.
𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠: nothing that I can think of. Just Beau being a sweetheart.
You were one of the new deputies at the Sheriff’s Department since Jenny had decided to return to her Private Investigation career with Cassie.
You were the newest deputy in the Helena department and you had transferred to Montana from Minnesota. You didn’t know much about this department, but so far most of everyone seemed friendly. You knew that Sheriff Beau Arlen started off as a temporary sheriff before the former sheriff retired. You had heard he thought about retiring anyway before the temp sheriff came around.
You were glad you were here and you are able to see your aunt, Denise whenever you want! You hadn’t seen her in three years and when you found out the department was in the same town your aunt lived, you were so excited! And you were able to stay with her for the first couple of weeks before you found a cute little house to rent for the time being.
It made you so relieved when you found out you were getting a transfer… It was like a new start for you!
The end of December will mark a month of you being here in Montana as a deputy. Poppernack was one of the first ones that made you feel at home in the department. He was the one that showed you around the department and he even introduced you to your new boss.
Beau Arlen.
Now Beau Arlen wasn’t like any other sheriff you have had to work under, or any other superior. He seemed more relaxed and laid back, but he still enforced the ruled and everything. Some of your previous superiors were a bunch of hard asses and you didn’t enjoy being there at all. The environment here was different and you definitely felt more at ease here.
What kind of surprised you was the fact that Sheriff Arlen told everyone in the department that they would be participating in Secret Santa.
The person you were buying for was Deputy Poppernack. You knew what you would be getting him since you had gotten to know him a little bit over the month that you’ve been here. You had a week to get the gift you wanted to get for him and you were sure you had some kind of wrapping paper at the house since you had gotten some gifts for your aunt. So you weren’t worried about who you were getting a gift for.
Although you had no idea who was giving you a gift, of course that was the nature of the game. You supposed you wouldn’t find out until the 23rd of this month. Everyone was supposed to be “on call” on the 24th and 25th for Christmas, after all you couldn’t necessarily take holidays off if something were to happen - but the 23rd is when everyone would definitely be at the station to do the exchange or leave their gifts.
For right now, though, you were sitting at your desk while looking at a picture of your mom and aunt when they were younger. Your mom was a cop for several years and even made detective before she went ahead and retired. You missed your mother a lot.
“L/N! Peanutbrittle! Hostage situation! Let’s move!” Sheriff Arlen’s voice boomed like thunder, distracting you from your thoughts.
You grabbed your shield and your gun before you rushed out of the door with Beau and Poppernack.
You didn’t know how he got an alert of the situation but of course it didn’t exactly matter at the moment as the three of you took your different vehicles and drove to the site. Evidently it was some comic book store where a man was pointing a gun at a woman who was guarding a little boy who couldn’t be older than nine behind her back.
“What the hell is going on?” You asked Poppernack and he leaned in so he could tell you while Beau was trying to talk to the man with the gun.
“Divorced couple, the mom got custody of the boy and she’s the owner of the bookstore. Dad was a gambler, no hard criminal or anything like that but he was crushed when he was told he couldn’t be near his son.” The other deputy explained.
It crushed you when parents forbade their children to see another parent. Especially when Christmas was just around the corner. The 25th was only in a week.
You hesitantly walked over to the woman, wondering if she would even bother listening to what it was you had to say.
“Ma’am?”
“I’m not handing my son to that man. He wasted everything on gambling. You don’t know half of what he’s done on top of that.” The woman began to tell you and you bit down on the inside of your cheek as you tried to think of what to say.
“You’re right. I don’t know what he’s done or how your family broke apart.” You started to speak. “We’ll be taking him in I’m sure, but this is your son’s father. It’s Christmas time, wouldn’t you think that he could at least get a hug from his son before the sheriff and I take him in?”
The woman looked at you and lifted a brow, as if you were crazy for suggesting it before she looked down at her
“Can I, Mom? Can I see him one last time?”
You could see the woman’s gaze soften at the sender it’s of his plea and she took a look at her ex husband, “If I let him near you, you have to do whatever the cops tell you.”
“Alright…” The man said, knowing there was no other way out of the situation while he handed Poppernack the weapon he brought along.
The woman let her son go and hug his father. After that the situation had died down before Beau cuffed the man and took him to the station. You were glad that it was something simple that day and all that had to be done was some paperwork for the incident but that was about it.
You watched as Beau lead the man to the holding cell and wondered if the guy had some kind of restraining order against him that needed to be renewed by the ex wife. It was a possibility.
You sat back down at your desk before Poppernack sat down in front of you.
“That wasn’t a bad move, Y/N. At least it made That guy more cooperative to come after he saw his son.” He told you and you shrugged a little.
“Yeah, if only all cases were that simplistic and easy to go through.” You let out a sigh as you scraped the back of your head before you opened up the drawer that had some of the files you were working on for other cases.
“Hey, uh… Just out of curiosity, what’s a favorite color of yours?” You heard your fellow deputy ask, causing you to life a brow.
“An odd question… I thought you had a different officer to get a gift for.” You replied and your friend grinned and nodded.
“I do, But I like getting other colleagues little gifts too, to show my appreciation.” He said. It warmed your heart how kind the fellow deputy was. He was such a sweetheart, even if he as a little bit of a kiss-ass when it came to Beau.
“Well I suppose in that case, my favorite color is F/C.” You finally answered with a grin, “But you know you really don’t need to get me anything. I’ve not been here that long and you’ve got other officers to buy for and that’s not even counting your family.”
“Oh don’t worry about it. It’s no trouble at all. I like doing this kind of stuff.” He insisted and you were starting to find it hard to refuse.
“What sort of thing are you thinking about getting the sheriff?”
“Well he’s a Texas guy so I thought about getting him a Dallas Cowboy trinket of some sort. Or maybe some kind of football or something.” He said, causing you to chuckle a little at the stereotype.
“Surely you can come up with something more than that.”
“Yeah I guess you’re right. Maybe I’ll get him some kind of coffee mug he can keep here at the office. Maybe a new hat or something.” He said and you smiled.
“Hey, Y/N! Not a bad idea to get to the mom like that. You definitely made things a lot easier.” You heard Beau’s voice, causing you to look over and you saw him walking over with one of those styrofoam cups of coffee in his hand. Maybe the mug thing wasn’t a bad idea, and Poppernack could use one too.
“I wouldn’t say I made it easier. I’m just glad that the woman was willing to listen to her son, and that her son actually spoke up and wanted to see his dad again. Maybe it’s one of those Christmas things that made her decide to let him get a hug from his son one last time.”
“Either way, I’m glad you did that. You opened the door for that to happen.” Beau said and you could feel his hand on your shoulder, causing you to smile.
“Hey, what would you guys think if we had a Christmas party next year and we got ourselves a Santa?” Beau asked.
“I think it would be just a touch over the top.” You admitted with a friendly chuckle.
“Besides, some of these officers have families too and they’d probably be tired after long days of work and what not.”
“But what if the kiddos got some pictures with the Santa? The malls seem to charge for that kind of thing and we can just do it here for free and we could even have some volunteers to be elves.” Poppernack said.
“See now that’s the spirit!” Beau smiled broadly and you grinned and rolled your eyes.
“Yeah and who do you suggest to be volunteers for the Santa skit and be his elves?” You asked.
“Well you’d make a cute little elf, and I know Denise would be all over it to help spread some Christmas cheer.” Beau replied and you shook your head playfully.
“Why don’t we get through this year first before we start making plans for next year.” You suggested.
“Yeah, I suppose you’re right. But the more ideas that we have now, the better prepares we’ll be for next year.” The sheriff said and then he turned to Poppernack. You could tell that the subject would change based on his facial expression.
“Popsickle, can I talk to you for a sec?” You could hear the sheriff asked and you lifted a brow, wondering if something was wrong.
“Yeah, of course, Boss.” And with that you saw the two disappear into Beau’s office, leaving you rather bewildered.
The 23rd finally came around and naturally you were prepared to give Poppernack his gift. It was sitting at his desk with a typed out message saying to him from his Secret Santa since you didn’t want to risk him recognizing your handwriting.
You ended up getting him a new tumbler for his coffee since his was a little beat up from who knows how many years of using it and it said ‘World’s Best Deputy’ on it, and you even found a way to get a shield on it with his name on it. You really hoped he would like it, and you remembered he had mentioned it before but Poppernack, you could tell, wasn’t the sort of guy to buy stuff for himself unless he absolutely needed to.
Actually, he probably thought he could have used that tumbler for another year or two and you wouldn’t let that slide.
Things were calm today, which was a little surprising because you thought there would be accidents on the road you had to report, maybe some robberies, but so far you were enjoying the calm before whatever storm would happen even if you were hoping that storm would never come.
Anyways, you decided to get up and make yourself a cup of coffee. So with that being said you went to the break room and grabbed yourself one of those little cups. You filled it with some coffee and put as much cream or sugar as you wanted to. Then you started thinking about different things.
This would be your first Christmas with your aunt and you were so excited. But you would miss the times with your mother because she passed this year. The fact that Christmas was in two days was a little daunting since you know this would be your first Christmas without her. But you knew your aunt would do everything she could to keep spirits up.
When you turned around and saw Beau coming in, you had to admit that you jumped since he was so quiet.
“I could live without the sneaking around, Sheriff.” You chuckled and you saw the way Beau smiled. Somehow it seemed to brighten most peoples’ day. It did for you anyways.
“I don’t mean to sneak around or anything like that.” Beau admitted as he chuckled as well, but you could tell there was something else on his mind.
“Is everything okay, Arlen?” You asked, brow raised.
“Yeah. Actually, I was just wondering if you had any plans for tonight? I’m gonna be having a fire in the fire-pit back at my place and I can’t eat a bag of marshmallows by myself with smores.” He said, making you grin. It was sweet that he would offer.
“Sure. I’d love to swing by. It’s a date.” You joked and you walked past him to get back to your desk.
When you returned, you saw that your Secret Santa had dropped off his gift to you.
You hesitantly walked over and sat down in your spot and looked at the bag. It was black and it had some gold reindeer on it with some white snow, one of those Hallmark looking bags with some white tissue paper.
You notice a card and a gift or two inside. You picked up the card first and saw the red envelope with ‘From Your Secret Santa’ in someone’s handwriting that you didn’t recognize. When you opened up the card, you saw that it was a little generic at first- one of those ‘Hope your Christmas is merry and bright’ kind of sayings, but it was the message that someone actually wrote inside that you didn’t expect.
‘Y/N,
I know these past couple of months may have been hard for you, and that this Christmas may be difficult. But know that you’re surrounded by people who love you.
You’re one Hell of a Deputy and your mother would be proud.
Merry Christmas, Y/N and Happy New Year.
-Secret Santa’
You didn’t expect the card to be that personal, and you sure as hell didn’t know anyone else that knew about your mother. So it made you that much more curious as to what the actual gift would be.
You pulled put the tissue paper and dipped your hand in the bag. The first gift you pulled out was one of those self care kits with a few bath bombs and a scented candle. The next gift you could tell was wrapped when you picked it up.
When you looked at the wrapped gift, you could tell a guy wrapped it since it may have been a little over taped. Maybe that’s why everything else was in the bag instead of wrapped. It was a small box and it made you wonder what was inside. Anyways, when you started unwrapping, you realized that it looked like one of those boxes some pieces of jewelry tended to come in.
Your brows narrowed, wondering who would buy you some kind of jewelry but you opened up the little box nonetheless and when you did, your eyes widened.
Inside of the box, there was a locket. It was silver, in an oval shape. There was a little note in the box that said ‘open me’ and when you did, you swore you could cry if you weren’t surrounded by fellow officers. So you covered your mouth instead and tried to blink back the tears.
Inside the locket, there was a picture of you in your formal uniform on one side, then on the other side of the locket was a picture of your mother in her formal uniform before she retired.
You carefully pulled the locket out of its box before you put it on, tucking the pendant beneath your shirt for safe keeping. Then you put your other gifts back in the bag and set it under your desk.
Meanwhile, Beau Arlen was watching the whole thing from his office with so much anticipation.
As you might have guessed, Beau was your Secret Santa. And after he found out that Denise was your aunt, he knew that he would need to pay her a visit so that you could have something you would really like. After all, you were one of his best officers. One of his best deputies he’s ever had. He wanted to get you something that was special, instead of a generic gift.
When he watched you pulling out the little box, he awaited your reaction. He remembered your aunt saying that your mother passed and she was worried about you feeling a little lonely this Christmas, even if you had your aunt there. So that opened up a door for him to invite you over that night. He was glad that you decided you’d come over after all.
Beau’s gaze softened when you put a hand over your mouth after seeing what was inside of the locket and he smiled to himself before he walked away from his window.
While he was walking to his chair and took a seat, he heard his door opening. When he looked up, Beau saw that it was his other deputy and he grinned.
“Peanutbrittle! How’s it goin’?” He asked and Poppernack grinned.
“Thing’s are going pretty well, Boss! I think it’s safe to say Y/N liked her gift though. She was putting the locket on when I walked by the desk.” He said, causing Beau to grin.
“Where did you even come up with that kind of an idea?”
“Her aunt is the office handler at Cassie and Jenny’s place.” Beau explained and Poppernack was able to put the pieces together from there.
“Did you end up asking her to go to your place for that little bonfire you’ve got going on?” The deputy asked.
“I did, and she said she’d be swinging by.” He assured and Poppernack grinned happily.
“That’s great, Boss.” He insisted but then the radio went off and Poppernack said a quick farewell to Beau since the call was for him.
After his deputy left, Beau shifted his gaze back down at the desk where he had an opened file on you. He knew about your mom because of Denise and he saw within your file that you were at the top of your class at the academy, and your last department knew you were a damned good officer as well. He just couldn’t help but wonder why you were transferred here to Montana.
But after a while, the evening came and it was time for him to head home and as he walked out of his office, he saw you sitting at your desk fiddling with your locket while your gaze was on the computer.
He walked over to you and he noticed that you were working on closing some cases and reviewing some cold cases in the Helena area.
“Hey, why don’t you give that a rest for the evening, Sweetheart?” He couldn’t help using the nickname, it was a habit for him after all with several people. Well, maybe except Hoyt.
You glanced up at him and then you looked back at the computer so you could look at the clock on the screen. You didn't realize it was time for you to go home until Beau said something to you. You sighed a little before you closed the file you were working on.
"I suppose I probably should, shouldn't I?" You asked with a grin.
"Was there a certain time that you wanted me to come over for the fire?" You asked and Beau shrugged.
"Whenever you feel like you're ready to come over. If you'd like to ride with me to my place we can do that. Saves you a little gas, right?" He offered and you smiled before nodding a little.
"Sure, that works for me." You insisted before you grabbed your little gift bag and got up from the chair.
After the ride with Beau you finally made it to his trailer and the two of you got all settled in. You watched as Beau started putting some dry logs into the pit and you grabbed whatever fuel he told you to use.
When the fire was finally started, you sat down in one of the lawn chairs and Beau went back in the trailer to grab the bag of marshmallows he had, as well as a couple of metal rods to toast them.
"From what I've heard, you've been here for over a year. Why do you still live in this thing?" You asked curiously.
"I dunno. Just feels a little cozy. Plus I don't have to make any payments on it like I would have payments on a new house or more expensive rent on an apartment." He answered.
To you, that did make a lot of sense. And you figured a lot of guys weren't exactly partial to change from what you've experienced. Whatever floated the sheriff's boat you supposed.
He offered you a rod with a marshmallow on it and you thanked him for it before letting the marshmallow toast over the fire. Your free hand went over your locket again and you started to think. The only person from the department that ever visited your aunt was Beau. So he would be the only one that would have known to get you something like this.
"So... how long ago did you visit Denise?" You asked with a small grin.
"What are you talking about?"
"I think you know, Arlen." You said and glanced over at him, holding up the locket. You watched him rotate the rod over the fire so the marshmallow would toast evenly.
"This must be why you make a good deputy. You'd make a damned good detective too." He replied, making you blush a little.
"I got your name in the Secret Santa drawing and I needed some advice from Denise. And you know how talkative she can be so I got a little more information than I needed, but it was still useful." He explained.
"So where did you get the picture's from?"
"The internet and social media are pretty useful places, Darlin'. I may be old but I can work my way around Facebook."
"Whatever you say, Beau." You smiled but then you looked at the photos in the locket.
"She would have loved you. She liked people with a good sense of humor. Then she probably would have tried to butt-in on cases we're working on and put her two-sense in."
"Sounds like she should have come out of retirement and joined us." Beau replied and you nodded, grinning.
"Thank you for this. It's really nice."
"Don't mention it. Just wanted you to have somethin' a little special this Christmas is all. Denise had the idea actually." He admitted and you laugh a little, it sounded like something your aunt would do.
When you looked over at Beau, it looked like he was a little concentrated on trying not to burn his little treat. You smiled to yourself before you leaned over and placed a soft kiss on his cheek.
His eyes widened for a moment before he looked at you. You chuckled a little at the shocked expression before you tried to think of some kind of conversation.
"Okay, if you could make any holiday season permanent, what would it be and why?" You asked.
Beau let out a hum as he tried to think, taking off the treat from the rod and he put it on a gram cracker, "Autumn. I don't know it's just something about the Fall that I like. The leaves changing, and the weather finally starts to cool down without freezing your ass off. Plus Halloween and Thanksgiving are around that time too."
“You know, somehow that doesn’t really surprise me. You seem to be the autumn loving kind of fella.” You admitted and he grinned.
“It’s also a good time for hiking and camping too. I wouldn’t really want to do that in the summer time. It gets too sweaty when you hike, and then there’s more mosquitoes when you camp. I don’t know why but it feels like I’m a magnet for those things and bug spray doesn’t work for me.”
“You must be just too irresistible for the bugs.” You teased and saw Beau smile again.
“What about you? What season would you make permanent?” He asked you, and you shrugged.
“I think I’d make winter permanent. I like the cooler weather, toasting indoors and if it snows you can have fun snowball fights and all. You can still have fires then too either in a fireplace or outside in a pit like this. You don’t have to worry about the anxiety of what the new year will bring, you won’t feel alone on Valetine’s day. You can enjoy as much hot chocolate as you want. Plus people seem to be in better spirits around Christmas time - or at least they try to be in better spirits.”
“Yeah, I suppose that’s true. I still pick autumn though. Not as much frost on the cars or ice on the road.”
“I’ll give you that.” You agreed, that was one of the downsides of winter time but you couldn’t let it over shadow that season for you.
As the night went on, the two of you started talking and having a little bit of a deeper conversation or two. It didn’t feel like a conversation between an officer and her superior. In fact it felt more friendly you felt at peace. You two were starting to get to know each other as friends and it was really a nice experience. Somehow you wondered if he could be the sort of person you could confide in one day.
“You know, Denise and I don’t really have a lot going on for Christmas. If you’d like to come over you’re more than welcome. If your daughter comes by for the holidays she’s more than welcome too.” You said and Beau looked at you before he smiled.
“I’d like that a lot, actually. And you’re more than welcome to come here anytime. Maybe for movie night or more marshmallows or something.” Beau said and you grinned.
You could tell that this would be the start of a sweet friendship for the both of you and this would turn out to be a better holiday season than you expected it to be.
Thank you all so much for reading! I hope you all had a great Christmas and that all of you will have a great new year! You guys are amazing and deserve the best! Love you all~💖

𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 (pt. 7)
(Beau Arlen x Female Reader)
(masterlist)
𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: Beau finally has a lead on where you are and how he can get Andre in custody! Now it is just a matter of finding you and making sure that you’re safe and unharmed.
𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: mentions of the kidnapping case, of course. Angry Beau. I think that might be it?
Previously
“I have to get out of here.” You vowed and looked at your scabbed wrists and started to try and wiggle out of them yet again but you had even more of a reason to escape, more of a reason to try.
Now
That scream...
That scream was so haunting and Beau couldn't believe that audacity Andre had to lie to a cop and try to play it off as him watching some kind of movie.
"Please tell me there's a way to track that phone call." Beau said as his grip tightened up on the steering wheel as Agent Sampson was typing away at a computer.
"I'm trying my best, Arlen… but if we locate it, we may need to take separate cars. We have to be smart about this” the agent began.
“Andre is under the impression you're by yourself, right? And Y/N hasn't been gone more than forty-two hours yet so there's still time to do this right and make sure she's safe." He said.
"I'll be damned if I let you go there alone if we find out where she is." Beau vowed. If they were going to find you, when they found you, Beau wanted to be the one that made sure you were safe and sound.
He needed to be there in person and see with his own eyes that you were in one piece. For the sake of his own sanity if anything else.
"I can't track from the phone call. But you can drop me off at the office again before you meet Andre. Call Poppernack and tell him to find where Andre is staying. I'll get you a warrant for a search and a raid."
"I need you to get some officers to Cadence and make sure she's okay.” Beau said, recalling the very last snippet of what you were trying to tell him before Andre insisted it was some movie he was watching.
“Who knows what Andre will be capable of since Y/N spoke up when he was on the phone." The sheriff urged and the agent pulled out his phone to make the necessary calls he needed to make to make sure Cadence would be protected and that the deputy would be able to find where Andre resided.
The stress of the situation was weighing on Beau. He couldn't let anything happen to you, not after all the shit he's seen in the world because of this job. He needed to make sure you were okay but that was his top priority. Though, he also knew your priority was keeping your sister safe so he wanted his best officers to keep an eye on Cadence while they looked for you.
Finally, Beau dropped Agent Sampson off at the department, then Beau went on his way to Donno's diner. He needed some answers and he had the biggest feeling in his gut that Andre was wrapped up in this card themed circle. Andre had to be Ace or at least related to Ace somehow.
As much as Beau wanted to go into the diner guns blazing, he knew it would be in your best interest to do things right. At least for now.
When Beau made it to the diner, he shut the door behind him and he saw a certain truck. It seemed to be the only truck there that looked like Andre's so he pulled out his phone and took a picture of the plates. He sent Jenny a quick message since he knew she was still at the department.
BA: Run these plates and see if they're Andre’s. See where he's been last night and this morning. Sampson's working on a warrant.
When he slipped his phone back into his pocket and walked through the doors, he saw the very man he'd give absolutely anything to strangle.
Beau took in a deep breath before he strode over and sat down in front of Andre.
"Well now, I was wondering when you were gonna show up, Sheriff. How can I help ya?" Andre asked with a smile, the smile Beau would love to just punch until his teeth went loose. Knocking them out of his skull would be a bonus.
"Hi, sorry to keep you waiting. Had a last minute call at the office before I came here." Beau lied but then he placed his arms on the table and leaned in.
"You wanted to talk about my cousin, right?" Andre spoke, "You said he was in the country?"
"Oh yeah. Mat Bolkonsky's his name, right? The drug dealer, murderer. We have reason to believe that he's here and we know he's a part of some kind of gang." Beau explained, not wasting time on beating around the bush.
"We have his fingerprints at a murder victim's place. We've also got them at a kidnap victim's place. Have you heard about Y/N L/N?"
"From the coffee shop? Yeah, I know her. We had a date a couple of days ago. Why, is she okay?" Andre asked and it made Beau sick watching the man pretend that he cared about you.
"Well, unfortunately, her sister said she hadn't seen her. And when I did a wellness check she wasn't home. We've found evidence of breaking and entering and we have reason to believe your cousin has anything to do with it." the sheriff said and looked to see if Andre would even squirm at the idea that he was close to being made.
Though not much to Beau's surprise, Andre continued to keep up the facade.
"She's missing? And you.. you think my cousin had something to do with it?" He asked.
"He is the one with a criminal history and the fact that he's in town does not help his case. I was just wondering if maybe-"
"If I had any contact with him? No, unfortunately I don't have any contact with him and I haven't since his murder charges. I'd love to help get Y/N back, I really do. And if I could help than I would but I don't know how I can be of any assistance to you." He said and Beau's jaw tightened.
“You were the last person that saw her. How do we know you’re not lying to an officer?” Beau challenged and Andre raised a brow before he leaned in, matching Beau’s posture with his arms on the table top.
“Let’s be real. You’re hoping I had something to do with it because you’ve got feelings for Y/N. You’re hoping I had something to do with it so you can strangle me and take out any anger you have on me because you blame me for her disappearance.” Andre said.
“Damn straight I blame you. I haven’t liked you since the moment I laid eyes on you. I haven’t liked you since I thought you could have been a link to those two poor girls that went missing. You’re lucky they’re both alive otherwise I would’ve ganked your ass for murder before you would’ve blinked an eye.”
“Unfortunately for you, I don’t care how much you want to blame me, I’m clean. I’ve got nothing to do with it and there’s nothing you can charge me for when it comes to the girl. I know that’s frustrating for you to hear since obviously you love Y/N. But deal with it and go find some other guy to put your charges on.” He said.
“Love, like, whatever has nothing to do with it. All this is, is me trying to get Y/N back home to her sister, who is in fact guarded by the way.” Beau promised and Andre rolled his eyes a little.
“Look, I don’t care if you love her or not. The date was a fiasco anyway because your little girlfriend has trust issues. I can’t be with a girl like that.” The other man said.
"Now if you'll excuse me, Sheriff, I think this little meeting is over. If there's anything I can do outside of Matvey's whereabouts, please let me know. And please let me know if you find Y/N. Just because the date didn’t go well doesn’t mean I wish any kind of ill will on her."
Beau watched as Andre stood up, his gaze darkening when Andre turned around. He continued to watch as he walked out of the door and made his way to the truck.
The sheriff pulled out his phone and started calling Agent Sampson, hoping that he'll pick up.
Luckily, he did.
"Sampson, it's Arlen. Andre's just left the diner and he's making his way to the truck. I sent Hoyt the plates to follow him and maybe we can track where's he's been, where he was when we gave him that phone call."
"Atta boy, Arlen. We'll get right on it. In the meantime, follow him but be discreet about it. We don't know if he's headed to that basement Y/N told us about right away." The agent said.
After that, Beau hung up the phone and he rubbed his hand over his face. All he could think about was if you were alright. These guys were dangerous and he hoped nothing had happened to you.
But then Beau started to think about what Andre said.
And yes. Beau loved you. He couldn’t deny it and he didn’t know how it happened.
Now wasn’t the time to really dwell on revelations though. He had to find you before he ran out of time.
So Beau got up and walked out of the diner before he hopped into his car to follow Andre. He needed to get one step closer to finding you.
Your wrists were raw and bloody from where you had been trying your damndest to break free of these handcuffs. But finally when you were able to break free you let out a breath of relief.
You tossed the cuffs aside and carefully rubbed the areas below the cuts on your wrist because you knew they’d be sore. Then you looked down at the shackles on your ankle. Your hands may have been free’d but you were still captive unless you could find away to get the chain off your ankle.
The phone call that Andre had with Beau filled you with hope. You were relieved that he was calling but you knew it would only be a matter of time before Andre would come back again, or any of his other people. What if they moved you before Beau would have the chance to find you?
And what about Cadence? You knew she was worried sick, and you hoped that Beau heard you and would send someone to protect your little sister.
You couldn’t handle the guilt of what would happen if she were to get wrapped up in this mess. You didn’t ever want for her to go through what you were. She didn’t deserve it. You weren’t sure id she could even handle it.
When you heard the door open, your heart began to race. But you were trying your best to hold it together, to pretend like you weren’t intimidated by Andre and his crew, no matter what they will do, or what they have done already.
You dared to look at the entrance of the basement and you realized the footsteps sounded more like the clacking of heels. You lifted a brow before you saw a familiar woman: Andre’s sister, who you only knew as ‘Queen’ for the moment with their little charade.
“Look what you’ve done, all the trouble you’ve caused. King told us about the phone call from your little cop friend. Sheriff Beau Arlen… A stud of a man if you ask me. A pain-in-the-ass, yeah, but still handsome as Hell. And why he’s even looking for you would beat me.” Queen said and your brows narrowed.
“Really? You’re trying some self esteem attack or something? He’s just a cop doing his job and he would have done the same thing for my sister or anyone else in this town because he’s a damned good cop.” You said.
“Oh no, I wasn’t talking about the fact of who you are. I don’t know what you mean to him, nor do I really give a damn. I just mean we’ve gotten away with a lot worse. No one has been able to get any solid evidence against us until we moved to Helena. Until my brother met you. You worthless skank.” She seethed.
“You think I wanted to get involved with this mess? I went on one date with your brother, I didn’t think I would wind up here and I didn’t ask to be in this situation. The fact that the cops are on your tail is because of his choices and his shitty decision making. I had nothing to do with it.” You exclaimed and the Queen rolled her eyes.
“Oh, are you kidding me? If it wasn’t for my brother being interested in you, he wouldn’t have gone on a date with you. Then you wouldn’t have sent a text to one of the cops. After the message, Andre sent Ace and Jack to your place and both of them are so sloppy.” She scoffed and she walked over to you. Then she looked down on you with a snobby glare.
"Their lack of stealth has nothing to do with me. Maybe they aren't as good as you thought they were." You rolled your eyes and she pulled out a pocket knife. Where did she get the pocket knife, you couldn't say.
But the blade was aimed at you and you stared blankly at it, "Really? After what your brother did, a few cuts and gashes aren't that big of a deal."
Then you could hear a phone ringing. Knowing it was the Queen's, you glanced up at her and arched a brow, "You might wanna get that. Could be important."
The other woman let out an irritated gruff and she pulled out her phone from a pocket before she answered.
"What?"
You could faintly hear another voice on the other end of the line and you knew it was Andre, a very pissed Andre at that. You knew that Beau was a smart man, and you could only hope that he was following Andre now. You didn't know how much more of this you could take.
"You're kidding me... now? Where the hell would we take her?" More silence, "You'd better not get followed by that motherf- what? I'll see what I can do in an hour."
This didn’t sound good…
“Less than that? Look I don’t think we’re going to have enough time for that. Be a realist once in a while. I’m good but I’m not a miracle worker.” She rolled her eyes.
From the look on her face, Andre must’ve had some sort of outburst to make Queen get a little stunned. She let out a breath before she finally spoke again.
“Fine, I’ll see what I can do in less than an hour. But I cannot make any promises. If we get caught because of this girl I’ll never let you hear the end of it.”
Then the Queen hung up on Andre and looked at you before she scoffed and started dialing up other numbers while she walked out of the basement.
"Ace, we have a situation. We need to leave in less than an hour."
Your eyes widened. Less than an hour? Will Beau find you before then? How fast would their systems find you? What if they would end up being too late?
Beau focused on watching Andre. He saw that the man was pulled over, talking on the phone and he seemed to be having a very stressful conversation. Clearly Andre wasn't too pleased about something and Beau noticed that he was also looking at his watch as if they were pressed for time.
Then Beau started getting a phone call.
Without any hesitation, Beau answered and lifted the device to his ear.
"Sheriff Arlen." He said, hoping there would be some kind of positive development.
"Beau, it's Jenny. Agent Sampson located the basement Y/N has been the past couple of days. We've also got a warrant to search Andre's house." Beau's heart nearly skipped a beat at the words and when he looked up, Andre started his car up again and started to drive off.
"Have someone go to Andre's place and find any evidence that links him to Mat Bolkonsky. Send me the address to that damned basement. I'll be there in a few minutes." He spoke sternly.
"Already did and we got his computer. There were emails between Andre who apparently goes by 'King' and he's been communicating with a trafficking circle. Last night he emailed the circle about a girl fitting Y/N's description. Sampson thinks that it may be enough to get an arrest and maybe we can hold him. It's a long shot since it's circumstantial but it's gotta be something."
The adrenaline flowed through Beau's veins. They were so damned close to getting you back and he couldn't let you down. This was the best news he's heard all day long.
"Good enough for me. I'll meet you at that basement. Make sure we've got plenty of backup. Who knows what we'll come across when we get there."
Then Beau hung up and started driving off to follow Andre once more.
But Andre must've known he was being followed because Beau noticed he was starting to speed up and he was taking different roads. Luckily for Beau, however, he's gotten to know all of these roads while he was driving around with Jenny and Cassie when he first moved here.
When Andre and Beau stopped at one of the back roads, Beau noticed that Andre was pulled over and the car was turned off. When Beau realized Andre was stepping out of the car, Beau's brows narrowed. Then he stopped his car behind Andre's before stepping out.
"I thought we had everything taken care of back at the diner, Sheriff." Andre spoke, and Beau shook his head.
"Oh no... you see, we had a warrant to search your place. We've got a hold on your computer and we know of your little double life you've got goin' on. King? Really? Isn't that a little narcissistic?" Beau asked while he walked closer to him.
"You went to my house without my knowledge?!" Andre exclaimed angrily and Beau shrugged.
"Well, buddy, with a warrant it doesn't matter if you know about it or not. Either way, you're screwed. Now why don't you just man up and own up to taking Y/N. I'll take you down to the station." He warned.
"Even if you arrest me, you won't find her. I told my people you were coming. Y/N will be sold off since they don't care if she's used goods. Just means we get paid a little less."
Beau froze for a second and stopped walking before he glared at Andre, "Used goods... What the Hell is that supposed to mean?"
"Oh yeah. Guess you wouldn't have known. She's really good in the sack, especially when she's all tied up and vulnerable.” Andre said with a sly, sickening smirk. And Andre could tell that he was getting to Beau.
“What the Hell did you say to me?” Beau snarled.
“She sounded so pretty when she begged for me to stop. Probably the best I ever had.” Andre laughed.
In that very moment, Beau saw nothing but red as his hand formed itself into a fist and he punched the living hell right out of Andre. A fight insured between them. The adrenaline rushed through Beau’s veins and no matter how hard Andre seemed to punch, the sheriff threw his fist ten times as hard.
Could he lose his job just for that one move? Sure, if he had a camera on his car - which he didn't. But for you, he'd risk everything. Especially when Andre did something so despicable. It made Beau so unbearably pissed and nauseated at the same time.
"You sick son of a bitch.” Beau snarled but then he finally got to a point in the fight where he could flip Andre and he could get his hands behind his back and cuff him.
Once Andre was cuffed, Beau got him into the car and luckily he had the address of the basement in his phone now so he could go to the basement. He pulled up the address on the GPS on his phone since he knew other officers could hold Andre in their vehicles since those were meant to hold criminals.
Soon enough, Beau finally pulled up and saw the other cop cars there. Jenny, Poppernack, Agent Sampson and his crew. They were all there since they had to be prepared for what was happening. Beau stepped out of his vehicle and he motioned for another officer to come and take Andre in their holding cars.
When Beau walked over to the agent and two deputies he immediately wanted to know what the situation was.
“It’s been quiet. No one’s been in or out by the time we all got here and we all came as quickly as we could.” Poppernack said.
“I just hope that we aren’t too late.” Jenny said.
“By the way, what happened between you and Andre. You both look like Hell.” Jenny said and Beau shrugged a little.
“He may be in court for more than just trafficking and kidnapping. We’ll talk about it later.” Beau insisted.
“Now that we’re all here, let’s move in.” Agent Sampson said and Beau nodded and someone handed the sheriff a bulletproof vest and he put it on.
‘Please be okay, Y/N.’ Beau thought as they all started going towards the building. It was an old and abandoned convenience store. An odd choice, but that wasn’t the point.
When they all made it inside, everyone dispersed so they could look for you.
They searched everywhere. The storage room in the back, some were checking a shed outside, the whole place was being searched and that included the area around the shop and the shed themselves.
“Y/N?” Beau called out, staying on his guard.
He had to stay hopeful. He had to cling to the hope that you would be there. He needed to get you back so he could reassure you that you were safe, and that you would never see Andre again. Everything that Andre told Beau still fueled him with unspeakable amounts of anger but now he had to focus on the goal.
When Beau finally found the entrance to the basement he couldn’t help but feel at least a little relieved. He busted the door down but what he saw was not what he was hoping for.
“No…”
You were nowhere to be found! The handcuffs were lying on the floor, the chains that kept you there were empty.
“Beau, no one is here.” Jenny said when she found him.
Then it was like the walls around Beau were crumbling down. He didn’t know what else he was supposed to do so Beau ended up punching the wall in front of him. He punched it so hard he was positive he might’ve busted the skin on his knuckles.
“Damn it!”
Hello everyone! I hope everyone is having a great New Year so far! Will Beau find Y/N before it’s too late? Stay tuned to find out!
