“You act like her father,” Mor says, her tone and stature much too stiff for a room full of colorful toys. Hazel merely wiggles on her belly, grabbing at a block... which is a much better reaction in his opinion than she has with Rhys. Hazel won’t stop crying at the sound of Rhys’ voice and it takes many of Nesta’s hugs and hushes, and Cassian distracting her from behind with funny faces, to get her to stop those watery tears.
At least with Mor, Hazel only regards her with soft albeit distant curiosity.
Cassian hands the block to the babe and she does what babies do best and instantly puts the toy to her mouth. None of the toys are small enough to choke on, he’s made sure of it and when he surveys the room, he supposes that this is what it must look like to parent. That’s true.
Diapers and baby toys. Smashed peas and onesies. Blankets and that little bearsuit he needs to wash before Nesta comes back from her impromptu visit with her sisters.
Cassian’s offered to babysit this time, though he’d be a bold face liar if he says he wasn’t waiting for the offer. To be welcomed in their home, to be a part of their space, to share and spend time..
Nesta and Hazel. His two favorite people.
Though... they’re not his at all.
Cassian’s not a father at all, but a baby sitter, and the way Mor says it--it’s not a friend’s gentle observation. You act like her father.
“And that concerns you?” he asks.
“It concerns me that you look at that baby like she owns your whole heart and Nesta’s still giving you the run around.”
“Nesta has the right to make her own choices.”
“Nesta would have been doing this alone, would have given birth alone, without any support if you hadn’t stepped up to care for her.”
Cassian shakes his head, wondering if he should cover Hazel’s ears from the blasphemous words about her mother. But she only blinks brightly and kicks. She’s a wiggly worm and just as he suspected, she looks every bit of Nesta. None of the features of a one-night stand.
None of his features, because that wouldn’t be possible.
But she’s wearing a little onesie that he bought her covered in bumbling bees and the sight makes him warm all the way to his toes. Cassian runs his finger down her small foot.

New review of Eamon The Destroyer's EP, "Alternate Piranhas" from It's Psychedelic Baby Magazine:
Tumblr media
We loved last year’s original ‘We’ll Be Piranhas’ but Eamon relistened to some of the sessions’ alternate takes and rightly surmised you’d love to hear them too. Hence, the ‘Alternate Piranhas EP. Think of them as a fly-in-the-studio look into Eamon’s creative process. Then go back and listen to the originals and decide if he got it right the first time or astutely held on to the best…until now. Hey, if it’s good enough for Marc Bolan…

If you please; what is your Tolberone theory of knowledge?
My theory, which I thought up a few weeks ago while sick with covid, is that all knowledge is a form of art, and that there are very broadly three basic types of knowledge arts: physical arts, philosophical arts, and scientific arts, and that pretty much all academic, artistic and practical disciplines exist somewhere in that triangle spectrum.
Physical arts are knowledges of how to actually, physically do things. The purest front of physical arts are things like dance and navigation.
Scientific arts are knowledges of things that can be tested and proven. Computer programming and Quilting are both scientific arts: they work, or they don't.
Philosophical Arts are knowledges of things which while not objectively provable, are still very real. History and Being A Good Listener are philosophical arts.
Nearly every discipline of knowledge is some combination of all three. Cooking is largely applied chemistry, a scientific art, but it's also a philosophical art because flavor is extremely cultural and contextual, and a physical art because you have to know how to hold the damn knife and heat when it's done.
The first part of toblerone theory is that, like how each piece has three sides, any given project needs at least one person who has a good grasp of each of the underlying arts involved or it's going to go sideways at best. For example:
Physical and Scientific arts, no philosophy: Jurassic Park. They need someone to point out that, while very possible, it's not necessarily a good idea.
Philosophy and Science, no physical: that dril tweet about the forum debate locked by a mod after 12,000 pages of heated debate. They need someone to drag them away from the keyboard and actually do something.
Philosophy and Physical, no science: that cult in midsommar that put a guy in a bearsuit. Without the ability to engage measurably with the world, they give into fear and behave like reactive animals. Also the "rare chicken steak" phenomenon.
You can have differing ratios of each type- Jurassic Park really only needed two philosophers: one animal behaviorist and an OSHA inspector, and 98% of the issues would have been avoided- but you do need at least ONE of each underlying art to check each other's work.
The second part of toblerone theory is that, like how the toblerone is made of many triangle pieces, there are poles to the triangle spectrum. Practical vs Esoteric arts. Short term and long term arts. High stakes vs for funsies arts.
While you have have different ratios and levels of expertise in each of the arts, you do all need them to be on the same piece of the bar, or they won't take each other seriously. A UN Diplomat and a climate scientist aren't going to take the advice of physical artist my uncle Bobby the plumber re: global warming, but they will take the advice of physical artist my Aunt Cheryl the civil engineer, a world expert in getting shit done.
The same applies for the other end of the spectrum. Aunt Cheryl the civil engineer isn't going to get much milage with the local high school student council and principal Waley when the problem at hand is "what are we going to do for this year's prom theme?"
I gotta go to therapy now, pictures later.

persona 4 is a good a good game but it’s even better when you can understand how centered it is on TV. now a days, TV is such a dead medium and im pretty sure thats why some personafans mark it as having the worst story, when it doesn’t ! it just has a story that doesn’t hold up in the modern day. you have to think about how reliant we used to be on tv when persona 4 originally came out. a big celebrity announcement ? TV or magazine ! breaking news ? TV or news paper ! wanna buy somethign but not imperson ? TV !!!!!!! its all television !
((persona 4 rambles under cut !!!!!
each arc is based off one or more tv trope (yukiko - gameshow/childrens media, kanji - gay stereotypes, rise - soft core corn, ect ect) !!!! and what makes kubo such a great plot point is how his dungeon is so out of place from the rest. instead of being based off tv, his is based off older video games ! it’s an immediate telling that something’s different ! its not TV !!!!
teddie is the most blatent television archetype, being both a classic mascot and the flirtatious dream boy seen mostly in anime (see tamaki suoh from ouran high school host club and pre-mob teru from mob psycho 100) (i didn’t understand this during my first playthrough and thought it was random as shit that there was a twink inside the bearsuit) ughhrhrhhhhhrhrhhrhh i love teddie
so much of personal 4 is based on TV, and this js where the other major theme of persona 4 comes in. reaching out to the truth !!! as stated before, we used to be so much more reliant on tv, and its easy to take whats said on tv as truth when so many lies and rumors are spread through the medium. kids beleived the midnight channel showed their soulmates, when that is a lie !!!!! all of the red herrings in p4 r important to the theme !!!! do u see !!!!!
this is why i hope a persona 4 remake does not happen. no ones gonna get it if we dont watch tv man . i think at its core persona 4 is abt media literacy (thats a point idk where else 2 put sorrgy) maybe none of this made sense…, i just NEEDED to get my thoughts out man it was killing me
pls keep in mind that i am fairly young and tv wasnt a big part of my life for much of the time i canremeber !!!!!! it could be fairly obvious to older folks but not me ,,

Comparing Killers
I sent an ask to my buddy @insane4fandoms a few days ago, and in their reply, they mentioned potentially doing a character analysis for both MadPat and my very own fanmade cannibal EgoPat Caliban in the future.
(This stemmed from one of their latest drawings. Again, thanks so much for remembering my scrunglies, friendo ❤️)
SO, being the way I am, I took some random inspiration and now I'm going through with that exact analysis myself! Just following my instincts as a writer and all that stuff.
___
MadPat:
Now, just to get this out of the way because I have a sneaking suspicion that someone’s gonna read this and automatically assume I’m being stuck-up: I really like Mad as a character. Matt has done an amazing job portraying him. . .though, Matt just has a knack for unhinged characters in general, lol.
And thanks to Matt's acting skills, Mad is an enjoyable villain. He’s cluster of chaotic problems shaped like a man in his thirties, and we all love him for it. (Honestly, I kinda see Mad’s behavior as similar to that of The Actor from all of Mark’s projects. Comedically evil with a tendency to throw tantrums when things don’t go his way.)
The FNAF Musicals have made many slight tweaks to the lore of the games to not completely plagiarize the story. So, of course, Mad is a slightly-tweaked version of William Afton: it’s made very clear that his crimes include murdering kids. On top of that, he has no problem playing long-cons with pizzeria employees before eventually killing them, too.
We’ve seen plenty of times that Mad is pretty much never afraid to get violent. Oh sure, he tries to put a mask on when he needs to, but it’s easy to see all his urges beneath that mask. (And again, much like Actor!Mark, Mad ain’t too shy about being callous and hostile to almost everyone around him.) He’s very quick to anger. To make things worse, he’s also quick to desperation.
While Mad is too smart for everyone else’s good, he’s still pretty damn impulsive/irresponsible. His crimes were all concentrated on the pizzeria; it didn’t take very long at all for the disappearances to pile up and gain unwanted attention. Now, a bunch of missing-person-cases are one thing, but leaving evidence is quite another.
Hell, in the beginning scene of Web of Lies, the wacko-in-a-bearsuit himself literally said, “Every INCH of this place is INCRIMINATING! Ten minutes of poking around this place and they’ll discover what I did. . !”
If Mad were to hear of Caliban's work, he'd probably be impressed at first and automatically assume that Caliban is just like him, just with more people-eating. However, if Mad were to actually meet Caliban and get a better read on his personality, Mad would likely end up insulting him one way or another. He'd see Caliban's professionalism as tedious.
___
Caliban Crawford:
Though I've made it pretty obvious that he's my special boi, Caliban is an objectively bad person. He may be insane, but he’s not delusional enough to deny that. Whenever his and/or Murdock's targets happen to be alive when they’re dragged to his den, he can be very, VERY sadistic throughout the butchering process. (Especially if the target has done something to personally affect him, Azalea, or any of his other peers.)
Sure, he doesn’t complain about working with dead bodies, but having a live meal is quite a special occasion. In such cases, he enjoys watching the unfortunate soul in question squirm and listening to them scream/beg. Taunting, dragging things out, making morbid puns all over the place, the works.
Despite all this, I’ve specifically crafted Caliban to be an extremely morally-gray character. (To be honest, the only fanmade ego of mine who’s full-on evil is LeviathanPat.) He’s still able to be logical/rational when he needs to. He takes pride in his self-control; yes, he has cravings for human flesh, but he knows he can’t afford to just attack any person he sees whenever he gets hungry. He knows he has to be EXTREMELY CAREFUL in order to keep his business away from the authorities. So, he only eats those he and his peers (Murdock, Azalea, etc.) are hired/paid to bump off.
On top of that, Caliban still has some humanity left. While he’s obviously nowhere close to a perfect angel, he’s still able to form genuine relationships and treat those in his circle with kindness/respect. Get on his good side, and you'll have quite a strong ally.
Though his morals are limited, one of the biggest differences between him and Mad is the fact that Caliban would never, NEVER stoop so low as to harm a child. In fact, he tends to avoid children altogether due to his own childhood trauma. (Totally not me projecting because I grew up in a dysfunctional family with verbal/emotional/psychological abuse.)
Getting back to the juicy stuff: Caliban is smart and efficient with his work. He prides himself on not leaving any evidence behind. (Yes, he still makes occasional mistakes, but even then, the aforementioned evidence still comes in very tiny amounts.) That's why he and Murdock became friends and started working together in the first place: since Caliban divides up which parts can be cooked/eaten and which parts can be sold on the Black Market, it really is easy for targets to just seemingly vanish into thin air.
Though my stories involving Caliban probably show him acting calm (despite his pun-addiction, lol), please, PLEASE don't be fooled. He's got just as much unhinged energy as Mad. He just happens to hide it a bit more often. But he definitely has his chaotic moments; half of the time it's out of unhinged joy, and the other half of the time it's because an enemy pissed him off enough to get their skin privileges revoked. (Basically, it's not that much of a stretch to see Caliban as a combination of The Hermit and Mack.)
Now, if you've seen @insane4fandoms artwork of him, then it's pretty clear that some inspiration was taken from Hannibal Lecter. And while I definitely appreciate references like that. . .well, that inspiration is mainly just for Caliban's appearance. I've said before that Caliban is nowhere near as arrogant as Hannibal. Even so, if Caliban were to see/hear about all of Mad's shenanigans, he'd write Mad off as being sloppy and unimpressive. If he were to actually meet Mad, his opinion would just get worse; he'd see Mad as a fair bit annoying and bratty.

New review of "We'll Be Piranhas" by Eamon The Destroyer from DPRP:
An intriguing and captivating performance. It's disquieting, emotive, ambient, jarring and poetic all at the same time. The album is filled with experimental undertones, from the glitchy, electronic start of The Choirmaster to the unexpected disharmony at the end of Sonny Said. It is all unsettling and disjointed in a truly captivating way...
