— I have a headcanon that Zelda LITERALLY watched over Link on his journey. She would kinda just manifest near him but never let him see her so that she wouldn’t freak him out, and loved to just float around him as he did things. She would sometimes hold him, making him feel warm and comfortable as he slept, watching over him at night. When he went to his house in Hateno he noticed there was never any dust accumulation even when he was gone for weeks, which he didn’t question until his bed sometimes looked a little more put together and it even felt WARM. He didn’t mind it made him feel less alone. There were also times where he would attack a guardian, and Zelda would just make sure the beam missed her beloved hero by a smidge, giving him leeway to take it down. She never directly interfered with his journey but always tried to keep him as safe as she could.
