I know basically nothing about Danganronpa but 2, 3, and 15. Tell me more about the murder children

So, 2, 3, and 15, my favorite protagonist, favorite antagonist and otp...

The answer for all three is hajime and nagito lol

Listen, as a pairing they have everything. They're thematic parallels, they've got the homoerotic tension, they've got intense self-hatred because of their place in the world, the drama, the tragedy, there's so much going on with them. idk if I could really explain why I like them w/o like,, re-capping the whole plot??? But regardless they're very gay and (at least narratively) canon soulmates.

They also just have a great capacity to be funny and adorable post game and I eat that shit up.

As for individually, hajime i like a lot as a protagonist because he's less,,, sturdy? I guess? Than makoto in the first game. Like, he's supposed to be super plain and boring, at least on the outside, but he's really pretty cynical and WILDLY insecure about his lack of talent and his self worth. He breaks down quite a few times but by the end he overcomes the despair that was threatening to destroy him, and he decides to keep going forward and I think that's super cool.

And also he's really funny and easily flustered and I think that's a lot of fun.

As for nagito, he's really interesting in part because he has such a unique world view. The way he sees the world is so heavily shaped by his specific life experience of intense good luck followed by intense good luck on and on and on, and by his admiration for talent. Its given him both an inferiority and superiority complex, and a different perspective on how to achieve the things he wants, and I think its really interesting. Sometimes people reduce him to "oh he just does things because he's crazy" but really his system of thinking and his values are incredibly consistent and make a lot of logical sense. He's really smart, and I think him being like that, being the kind of character who can really only come from a story like danganronpa is really interesting. And also he's super gay and an asshole.
