soundwave for the ask game

I know I could pick a continuity but yknow what Im gonna just do all soundwaves im familiar with in general

favorite thing about them: There's very little to dislike about soundwave to begin with. One of the most popular transformers for a reason. His voice effect is so good and unique and iconic, the decepticon logo is based on his face, love his connection to music, his cassettes gimmick is fun and makes him a dilf, he is always kinda assured to be the coolest decepticon among the ranks. G1 soundwave is iconic, bonus for energon soundwave for the funny dj shtick, tfp soundwave has the sexiest robotic design known to man, idw1 soundwave gave him a rich characterization, and cyberverse soundwave honored both by having good looks and a good story

least favorite thing about them: So the problem with being so extraordinarly cool is that you have to pay the price with personality and/or screentime, which is particularly true for tfp soundwave. Then theres the problem with "loyal" characters: if what or who they are loyal to isnt your thing, it can drag the character you like down. Fortunately the recent continuities fixed both those issues. Now I just would like soundwave to stay alive.

favorite line: "Soundwave: Superior" is the safe choice here, but I do like the cyberverse "Cybertronians: Superior" variant💙

brOTP: naturally the cassettes, then idw had a fun dynamic with thundercracker, and I really do like the genuine friendship in cyberverse with Shadowstriker

OTP: with cyberverse Hot Rod, cyberverse out there making miracles by making me actively like ONE (1) soundwave ship.

nOTP: normally Im neutral or like, dont care about the majority of numerous soundwave pairings out there but again, idk WHAT it is with him and me but I also cannot see him with megatron regardless of continuities. ... Same kinda goes for the rest of decepticons high command actually. I feel soundwave works best in crossfaction pairings anyway.

random headcanon: im bad at those uuuuuuuh hes generally the most open decepticon to human culture and being exposed to EDM was lifechanging ok moving on

unpopular opinion: I KNOW this goes against. Literally the concept of his character but I kinda like him more when he's just a guy with one (1) bird because theres more focus on him alone.
