You know, Merlin really sucks at healing. Which, okay, he can't be good at everything, but I don't think we as a fandom really talk about how infrequently his healing spells work

#merlin #bbc merlin #merlin meta #liv talks merlin #*lobs this and runs*#this is a result of several comments on the most recent chapter of my fic expressing relief over the survival of a chracter #when i initially felt really bad leaving the chapter where i did because while i said merlins eyes glowed gold from casting a healing spell #i dont say it actually works. i saw it as an ambiguous chapter ending for the fate of this character but everyone seemed to assume he would #be fine cause merlin did a healing spell. which okay.theyre right cause i hate character death and im not going to kill off one of my babies #but i thought his fate would seem a lot less certain due to merlin being bad at healing
