I don’t understand the complaints about Be Acoustic version. Like the concept is quite obvious to me. It had to be fleshed out for the album. He already had that sound for the album so it had to be expanded on but the first one is Andrew’s baby and I think it is gorgeous and I’m thankful he feels comfortable enough with his fan base to share it. Raw. Bitching about it however is a really quick way for him to not do that again.

WAIT did anyone else notice the slight changes in lyrics between Be on wasteland, baby! and the acoustic version? I mean there are a lot of obvious changes (entire verses that are in one version and removed in the other etc etc)

But one that kinda snuck up on me is a slight one word change in a line that is otherwise exactly same in both versions. “Be like the rose that you hold in your hand that grows bold in a barren and desolate land.” To “grows bold in a barren and uneasy land.”

I’m not sure what the change means exactly - I think desolate works better with the album as a whole’s apocalyptic imagery, but as a stand-alone song I think uneasy works really well with the different tone of the acoustic version. I don’t know I just think it’s an interesting change.
