I *adore* how companions' reactions to Raphael perfectly show their personalities and life experiences.
Gale is certain he can outwit the devil and come out on top; he's arrogant when it comes to his intelligence and magic and has trouble understanding that he's not smarter than everyone. He even goes as far as to be *flattered* by the devil's attention to begin with, claiming it's an equivalent of 'serenades and roses'. False sense of own importance one again. (I hate him)
Shadowheart tests you to see how certain you are about your stance and calms down if you prove yourself immune to seeds of doubt, knowing exactly what those can do. She wisely warns us that people like him exploit uncertainty and draw their power from it.
Karlach responds with straightforward rage and it's in her favour; her trauma from the hells makes her reject any mind games of devils and thus their influence.
Astarion is desperately looking for a way to secure his freedom and in his fear and uncertainty of the future, he is easily tempted by the promise of a way out, however untrustworthy it may be. Shadowheart's words ring true; Raphael's power over people does come from uncertainty, something that Astarion has every reason to be full of.

Gauntlet of Shar:
I adore every single interaction we get from the fey patron
What do you mean i can't have them meet. The Original Patron would love to have tea with smarmy the devil!

A sequel to this (re:during a very harrowing week in the shadowlands Tav Orion lost their powers and started catching up to their (until that moment basically immortal) life)

hey since you made a playlist with songs for bdg3 characters - what song do you think would best represent raphael?
Hey!
Thank you so much for this question. As much as I DON'T want to add another Kamelot song, this one fits too perfectly to not use it. I'd 100% use Kamelot's - Veritas, the lyrics fit Raphael perfectly, and even the female verse fits from Hope's perspective! *Shakes fist at Raphael*.
The song also has a grandeur about it and is quite epic in it's instrumentalization, so I think this fits perfectly. Let me know what you think! And I'll add this to the playlist. Thanks again! :)
