This is interesting. The 1867 Jones Mansion is a Second Empire style home. It's original to the point of being a bit shabby, but it's currently operating as a venue for weddings, parties, etc. Located in Findlay, Ohio, it has 5 bds. on the 2nd level, and 3ba. $659,900. In the back of the house there's parking for 21 cars, so the events it hosts must be fairly small.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Look at how original and timeworn it is.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This room would be the main sitting room. Look at the patina on the walls. This room is empty, so it must be one of the rooms they rent out. Beautiful marble fireplace.
Tumblr media
Look at the mantle in the reception room- it's a glass display case. They must rent this room out also, b/c they put lights in the beams.
Tumblr media
The dining room has a lovely ceiling and a marble fireplace.
Tumblr media
They've got coffee and a bar set up in here.
Tumblr media
Nice pedestal sink in the restroom.
Tumblr media
Well, they gutted the kitchen and put in a commercial setup. So, the new owner has a blank slate but would have to invest in a new kitchen.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, we're on the 2nd fl.
Tumblr media
This is a bedroom. It's very large and has a great fireplace.
Tumblr media
Bedroom #2, also spacious. Beautiful ceiling and fireplace.
Tumblr media
Looks like the baths are combinations of vintage and modern.
Tumblr media
The description does say that each bedroom has a fireplace. This one is different and it's beautiful, too.
Tumblr media
This is another hall with stairs to the 3rd fl. The description says that it's not finished, but it has potential.
Tumblr media
Beautiful sunporch on the 2nd floor.
Tumblr media
The back of the house is so pretty and it's a fine brick home with a mansard roof. You can see by the shape of the roof and all the windows that there's potential for a finished 3rd floor.

What living in America looks like..
Some days i wish i lived in another country, one that has their people in mind.. Were like the only country that literally charges an arm an a leg for EVERYTHING that is needed to be successful an thriving.
Min wage - between $7.25- $15 (depending on the state, some states have increased to $19 )
(Only allowed to work certain amount of hours)
Now let's do some math ...
Daycare costs - $800+ (a week per child)
Groceries - $160+ a week (organic add an extra $50-100)
Gas - $4+ a gallon
Health insurance- $300+ (wanna add family member add an extra couple $100)
Car insurance - $200+ (want to add a person, add a vehicle $200+)
Home insurance - $200+ (wanna add storm coverage, fire coverage, water damage $100+)
Life insurance - $100+ (want a higher sum , pay more)
Rent / mortgage - $1600+ for a 1 bd / $2000+ for a 2bd or higher
Electric / gas - $200 +
W/s/g - $80+
Phone service - $100+ (add a line 20-40+)
Internet - $80+
Wanna move somewhere - $5000+ (deposit, last, security, must have good credit)
And then they wonder why us as Americans are STRUGGLING to make ends meet. Why so many are homeless. Why so many are starving. Why so many barley scrape by each week.. why so many choose one bill over the other to pay some months, why some can only afford rent. 🤔 because THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT DOESNT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT ITS PEOPLE.

Stats
5.4 million people living in Palestine in 2023.
The median age in Palestine is 19.6.
47.3% of Palestine is under 18.
Israel has killed over 12k people in Gaza (the second largest city in Palestine) since October 7.
Regardless of what side you think is "right", there is no justification for the deaths of so many people when Israel has received at least 3 billion dollars in 2023 and is requesting an additional 14k, all from America. The Israeli forces could easily afford to train and equip a special forces team to go in and handle only Hamas with minimal casualties if that was what they were after.
How we can help-
Boycott (Do not purchase, support, or use) Bolded ones are the most commonly used
HP (printers etc)

Barclays (bank- move your money to a different one, or even better a credit union)
TKH Security (home security)
HIK Vision (AI)
Pressure (write letters, send emails, make calls)
YOUR GOVERNMENT REPRESENTATIVES (any government official who is not in support of a ceasefire. the president, your governor, mayor, house reps, senate, congress, etc)

Amazon (retailer)
AirBnb (rent a house)
Booking.com (travel reservations)
Expedia (travel reservations)

It's so overwhelming what's going on, but let's all collectively do all we can.

So, brief context; dropped outta Uni a few years back, and tried to make it on my own for a few more years, but after watching rent go from 1165 to 1650, i had to move back home
And now that im here, I might have to file elderly abuse against my mother
My stepfather has dementia and my grandmother is well over 85, but they both live in absolute filth. I'm talking shit caked bedspread; trash filled sinks and bathtubs; less than a few feet of space to themselves or to sleep in
Not to mention the way she talks to them like they're dogs
I want to take everything I have and sell it all minus my car and just run for the hills without saying a word - but I can't just leave these old people here in these conditions - especially not family
So I don't know what to but to file against my own mother and dip. I know she's got like BD or BPD, she (sometimes) takes her meds for it, but I'm pretty sure she's also a narcissist because whenever someone tries to hold her accountable for anything, she flips it around and tries to attack said person
Ive got half the mind to post what ive recorded on here already for some advice or input, but i have definitely decided to take what I can thats mine and sell it all so I can run for the hills sometime in the near future
Ive already reached out to an old family lawyer in hopes of finding some direction on the matter, so I'm going to do my best to buy my time - but I will be very likely living out of my car for a while in the near future
If anyone has any advice, or even just some kind words, I'd really appreciate it

This 1835 church conversion in Cleveland, Ohio is amazing. It has 5bd 5.5ba and is listed for $1,649,900. And, as you can see, it's huge and it's a single family home, but there's plenty room for rental potential.
Tumblr media
Seriously, this is the one of the most elegant entrances I've seen in a church.
Tumblr media
Isn't the white, gold & black a classy combo?
Tumblr media
There was such a large altar space that it was enough to make a huge kitchen. I love the doorways on either side.
Tumblr media
The view on the end of this giant space is a loft.
Tumblr media
The dining area is just outside the kitchen and there's plenty space for a banquet size table.
Tumblr media
Modern black cabinetry is a nice contrast against the gold. They ave a large island and quartz counters.
Tumblr media
Look at that- above the tile backsplash are contrasting wood cabinets within a frame of black. For everyday casual dining, there's seating at the island counter.
Tumblr media
Down this hall, you see the pipe organ ahead.
Tumblr media
Isn't that a wonderful feature in what is now a family room?
Tumblr media
Above you see the mezzanine go around the room.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The main bedroom is very large and open.
Tumblr media
It has an en-suite with a nice blue sink vanity.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This 2nd bd is also very large.
Tumblr media
It has a its own attractive en-suite.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The loft/mezzanine is another huge space.
Tumblr media
I like how you can see the top of the pipes from here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This church building is gigantic. Back here is a sitting area and a full kitchen, plus dining space.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is so large, it can be rented out as an apt.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It has a very large bd and en-suite.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Plus, a 2nd bd that also has an en-suite.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But, that's not all, there's another big apt. style area, also. I would rent both of them out.

ty for the heads up! my friend I'm going with has done most of the planning, but I'd definitely be keen for recommendations of stuff to do/see/eat - our flights got changed so we're finding more stuff to fill a couple extra days
firstly i strongly recommend that u rent a car bc our public transport is garbage and scarce + ubers & taxis are expensive. please bear in mind people drive horribly and be careful and very alert on the road!
totally try jan burger, burgerland, teren teren (get the bahraini tikka laham/beef tikka). have the ghoozy laham at al naeem restaurant & grills (@ madinat hamad souq waqif).
go to manama souq! there’s a very nice place to have breakfast called haji’s traditional cafe. their breakfast is awesome & make sure u have some chai karak!!! it’s not easy to find outside the gulf (& i think also south asia). i’m not sure how good their lunch dishes are so i cant recommend that necessarily but feel free to try it.
u can visit the tree of life if u want but it’s somewhat underwhelming bc it’s just a tree in a dessert 🤣 but the tree itself is impressive bc it’s so old & survives somehow
also it’s not the cheapest but you should perhaps go early in the morning & get a day pass at the ritz carlton bc their beach is very nice & so are the pools (last time i went it was 20 bd & u can be there for a long long time so i find it worth it. also u can use the indoor pool as well, go to the beach, & there’s even kayaking i think which i think costed a little extra but was affordable). i recommend to bring snacks and drinks with you so that you don’t have to spend a lot of money on their expensive things. i like to go to the beach and swim to the island across and then chill there, then swim back & then go to the pool. there’s also the sofitel if u want cheaper but i think it’s like 15 bd and personally i think ritz is way nicer and the 20 bd can be worth it the longer u spend there.
if ur into water sports u can easily go diving lessons also in bahrain but i’m not sure which places offer the best as i’ve never done it. if u like ice skating there’s funland, i believe they have a ladies night or at least they used to, try to go on the ladies night bc sometimes that’s when all the lesbians will come out of hiding in bahrain 🤭.
what else.. the bahrain fort is good and the museum is also nice, arad fort is also nice. the dilmun burial mounds are also nice. please be careful what time u go tho bc it is REALLY HOT! my gf & i went at like 1 pm & we almost passed out from heat exhaustion 😭 either go very early or go at like 5 pm, do NOT go at noon.
those are the places i’d recommend off the top of my head but i’m sure there’s more so if u need more lmk and i’ll think of what else u could do. bahrain is quite small so there isn’t that much to do but there is some variety. imo (private) beaches & food & perhaps water sports are the highlights in bahrain

Goodbye beach air, palm trees and sunshine, Hello beach air, palm trees and slight cloudy weather!.. 4 and a half days later I have finally returned from my vaca in Hawaii! (Waikiki to be more precise)
I didn't bring souvenirs for any of you, BUT I do have a tale about the fun little adventures me and the family did while we were there.
LET'S LUAU!
Day 1
It was the dead of night when we arrived so all we did was unpack our things and ordered in some food🥡I had to share a bed with my middle sister and I gotta warn ya, she's a kicker... But still got a good nights rest nonetheless. The real vacation didn't start until early in the morning.
Day 2
Early in the morning we went out for breakfast at this little café a few blocks away from our hotel. They had sooo many pancake options that it hard to pick which one. So I just had your typical blueberry pancakes🥞(Can never go wrong with those P; ) Then we went sight seeing around the city we were staying at, and I thought our town a lotta palm trees🌴My feet were burning so I looked around the shops and found these 150$ sandals!👡👡I bought them anyway cause they were cute as Hell! >B0 We took a break from shopping I had the best damn shaved ice my taste buds have ever tasted!! It was the Taiwanese kind, the obviously superior kind of shaved ice🍨It was getting dark so we took a bus all the way in the mountains for a luau. We bought a few drinks and souvenirs before the show started. Apart from some TV shows that had luaus in them I never really seen a real one and it was 1000 times better then what television can provide! Anything to do with juggling fire will always gram my attention🔥Of course you can't have a show without dinner. It was a nice spread of traditional Hawaiian foods, though I'm not sure if store bought vanilla cake counts.. It all goes down one hole anyway🍰
Day 3
We've rented a car for a whole day, so the first thing we did was drove to a very popular bakery that sold these pastries called malasadas. (It's like a doughnut, but an Alolan variant🍩) Good thing we got there early cause the line for these things was about to get long, like wrapped around the whole street long!.. And just like any other doughnut they were AWESOME! Just so we can enjoy more peace and quite we drove to the countryside of Honolulu and had a small picnic at the beach. It was a every tropical place and there were chickens everywhere! Good thing we didn't brought any chicken sandwiches with us haha!🐔 Just across the street there was this trail that led all the way to a waterfall and we walked alllllll the way over there and had to walk alllllll the way back... (That's one way to burn off lunch pfft) The water fall was a bit tourist trapy, but it was a nice hike around the forest~ Walking back was the best part cause we found this trail that was both shady and had 0 people~!🌲🌳Just before it would close we went to the Dole factory for pineapple ice cream. We didn't get to do a lot there, but at least we bought a few pineappley things🍍It was getting late and we were still hungry so we drove back to the city and looked for a place to eat at. We settled for this one restaurant you need to use an elevator to get to. It was one of those restaurants where the chef does a few tricks with your food right in front of you. We had shrimp, lobster tails, and of course BEEF! Almost burned my face off, but it was worth the meat!🥩
Day 4
Before it would get crowded we headed to the beach in our city and went surfing!🌊I may not know a lot of surfing tricks, but I sat on that surf board like a pro! <BD As soon as I dried off on my beach towel I walked all the way to the nearest doughnut place and bought a bunch of fancy lookin' donuts for me and the family, but mostly for me. Got myself a passionfruit one to feel tropical. They were warm and crunchy and I wanted another one!🍩🍩Afterwards I did some shopping around the city until we took a break for some street pizza and then shopped some more🍕Later we booked a boat ride around the island just so we can take a few pics and enjoy the scenery .....Only to find out that we booked a party cruise instead... Luckily for me and my sisters we're natural born party goers! ...Not so much our parents though... We at least got a nice view of Waikiki, even with music ponding our eardrums🎶If you wanna enjoy a good boat ride I suggest going to the front of the boat since that's where most of the fun is, which me and my sisters spent a lot of our time at. It's interesting having a relaxing time on the front boat with the wind in your face while a party was going down right behind you. BP Even the sea life joined in on the fun as on the way back a bunch of these dolphins were racing our boat from all around! Who knew dolphins loved hip hop~🐬All that partying sure worked up an appetite and I've been craving sushi since we first got here. We had expensive sushi cause we wanted to eat like kings!👑(and cause it was the only place in walking distance..) Any sushi that doesn't need soy sauce to taste better is good in my book~🍣
Day 5 (The Season Finally!)
We only had a few hours left until we had to leave so we packed up everything in advanced and squeezed as much time as we had lift in the city. I did my own thing at the time, and to me a time eating food is a time well spent! ;U I went to the same doughnut place that I went to yesterday and got the tangerine flavor instead, and it was even better then the last one!!!🍩🍩🍩And just before the line got any longer I went to this little store that sold homemade spam musubis and bento boxes. I got an egg, eel musubi and a tempura shrimp roll, and they were a nice treat to snack on while walking to the beach🍙I took a few pics and collected some seashells by the seashore until it was almost time to leave🐚Since I still had a bit more time to kill I quickly bolted to the nearest café and bought a watermelon gelato on the way back to the hotel🍧(Gotta enjoy as much time as you have left on vaca ya know~) I made it back just as we were about to head to the airport. I got to take one last good look of the whole island as soon as the plane reached to skies✌️
Epilogue
All in all this trip was definitely a stoke and a half! Got to do a lot of new things with the family, like fly all the way to the stratosphere on a dinky old plane twice hehe... .^.
I wanna pick the next vacation this time!🌸
