i have to make a youtube channel and become a video essayist just to explain how magic for humans is the shitty man’s the carbonaro effect
#i know they had carbonaro on netflix for like... a little bit. a little while back. im not surprised its not on there anymore bc they keep#NOTHING GOOD if it isn't original programming#but anyway kaily and i have been watching a lotta trutv lately while we take care of the puppy#bc things like impractical jokers (which is on most of the time... their rotation schedule sucks ass but i like the show)#(ive watched that show since i was like 15/16)#(same w carbonaro... basically the only programming i still watch on cable tv on a regular basis)#(anyway)#the carbonaro effect honestly might be one of my favorite... at the very least... REALITY tv programs of all time and u know i love#my reality tv. michael carbonaro is a genius and he seems like such a sweetheart. it's the most rewarding program#truly why the television was invented. the magic is captivating and his improv is hilarious. just a flawlessly produced show right there.#when i searched on netflix to see if it was still on there and we found 'magic for humans' ... i knew i had to hatewatch it#tales from diana#ive only watched a few select clips on youtube but like. i have so much to say about it#it's all FAKE AS FUCK first of all. ive watched three clips. taken time in between each. not one of them has been good in fact they've each#gotten worse. and less realistic-seeming. like im sure this show is staged it's even shot like a sitcom#i could give such a detailed breakdown of each of these dumb clips and compare them to carbonaro#carbonaro makes it seem so easy but he's really just a natural entertainer#this show just rips off the premise of magic pranks but it like... tries to make a 'lesson' out of it#and the guy comes off as... kaily put it best when she said 'this is the type of guy the internet would call a sociopath... just a monster'#and he's not really like. THAT strongly bad but he has bad vibes. in one of the clips he pulls a prank on children and i just... didnt like#the children were clearly not acting candidly they were fed what to say. one of the kids at the end of the trick walks away and curses the#guy out. like. im sorry thats so fucking fake. i work w children i know how they react to cool tricks even if it makes them look silly.#they go WOOOOW WHAT THE-- AWESOME!!!!!!! they don't go 'fuck you' and walk away. like never in a million years would it occur to them#even the precocious pottymouths wouldnt do that bc theyre KIDS they dont THINK like ADULTS#i gotta stop this rant. magic for humans is a ripoff give michael carbonaro all the budget and season renewals forever i love my gay icon
