Personality:

Oscar speaks politely and even includes honorifics when talking to commoners and peasants. He is courteous and possesses a gentle demeanor. He has a huge passion for crafting magic tools and is usually found buried in his research work. So much so that he rarely leaves his workshop and often sleeps there. His coworkers have to urge him to take a break and walk outside once in a while because he is too fixated with his work. Oscar is friendly but his fixation tends to overwhelm even the greatest magic scientists in the kingdom. He is aware that this trait causes him to have little to no close friends. To ease his loneliness, he has built, and named a golem and considers it to be his one and only true friend.

Being the only heir of House Albain, he tries to live up to its name as they are well known for their magic tool crafting.

The magic of House Albain is typically known for bearing potent lightning magic earning them the nickname ‘White Lightning Albain’. Despite bearing explosive magic power he hates using it in battle.

Trivia: He has a habit of naming his magic tools like people. Ex. “This is my newest work. Glenn Buster!”

Oscar: Yes. Uh, can I have- (sees Nero in waitress outfit) yourhandinmarriage (incoherent) 

Nero: I’m sorry but I don't think we have ham in porridge on the menu.

Black Clover OC: Osecre Moments

Oscar first saw Nero during her trial in the Magic Parliament. (And he wondered if she’s guilty of the crime of being too cute)

At that moment, he already had doubts about the allegations against her because he thought if she was actually the one responsible for the Capital’s destruction, she wouldn’t easily be captured alive.  

When he heard how she used Forbidden Magic, he was more impressed than afraid. He hoped he could ask her more about it.

He has the authority to the higher Magic Research Branches and when he learned that she was working in Branch Zero, he transferred immediately hoping to see her.  

Oscar always calls her name with ‘Lady’, and he shifts between ‘Lady Secre’ and ‘Lady Nero’.

Nero asked Oscar to drop the formality on her because her status was long gone. But Oscar had difficulty doing so.

Oscar was curious about her changes when she performed Forbidden Magic. Oscar was extremely fascinated with how she easily changes between her bird form and human form.

Still, Oscar always remained respectful and polite, and he doesn’t push Nero to reveal things she’s uncomfortable about.  

Nero wasn’t sure why he was so interested in her. But she kindly explained to him about the effects of Forbidden Magic on her.  

Oscar’s curiosity was seemingly endless that he never ran out of questions to ask her.

Eventually, Nero finds Oscar’s presence to be comforting.

As Nero dedicated herself to Magic Research, she and Oscar have an exchange of ideas and realized how smart and creative he really is.

When Oscar isn’t too confident with his projects, Nero provides him with much-needed support.
