"Y/n, you wanna go stop for food?" The blonde asks, dropping the vlog camera a bit as he hears his stomach grumble in hunger. "We can make it a date for the vlog" He suggests, praying you'd say yes.

You nod, agreeing to the bit and the food considering you were also beginning to starve. Meanwhile, he feels his intestines flip around in his torso, trying to hide a giggle of approval as you agree.

You stop at a little lunch place and dine in with some sandwiches and soup. You and Tommy sit at one of the half-booth-half-chair tables, and put the camera in front of you as you sit next to each other. You talk about and eat at the same time, basically doing a mini storytime for the vlog, considering he was trying to do a vlog challenge to upload every week and have his videos reach at least twenty minutes and you were down to help him.

Tommy tries to push off the weight off his shoulders, love pulling him down as he looks over at you, talking to the camera about a story from earlier. He feels his stomach fill with butterflies as you laugh and smile, your eyes twinkling like sun reflecting off of water.

He quickly looks back down at his food, trying to hide his longing eyes for you. His ears dust a little red, feeling flustered as you joke around with him, making little date conversation to play up the bit.

You eventually get into the joke as a whole, making fake flirty conversation, making both of you silently panic inside. It's obvious to everyone but you, his ears and cheeks dusted pink, you trying to hide your smile as your face warms up past the heat of the oven when you bake out-the-box cakes together. You have to walk out of the building because you were getting too loud with laughter and didn't want to disturb the other patrons.

You walk down the sidewalk together, talking on and on and opening up more than usual about a lot of things. Tommy shows off all the scenery as you walk, later to be edited with Empire State Of Mind in the background, considering you'd been traveling around New York together while Freddie and Jack did their own things around the city.

You take the camera after a few minutes, wanting to have some fun with it. From silly angles and .5's of your foreheads to the Empire State Building and the flashy lights and screens everywhere like Times Square, you got it all. You found it so fucking enjoyable, catching all the beauties of city life you'd never experienced before. The bustling streets and the sound of music coming from just about everywhere, it weirdly comforted you.

You hold the camera up high, zoomed all the way out to capture you and the blonde, singing along to End Of Beginning by Djo, the song playing in the earbuds you were sharing. I mean, this was the beginning of a new end, in all honesty, the tour, him, your new eras and styles of content, the new way you'd picked yourselves off the floor and made yourselves new people. You were both happy enough to be on the hectic rollercoaster of life with each other in the seat next to the other.

Tommy can't help but find your funny control over the camera and your jokes amusing, to say the least. He couldn't help but fall more head over heels than he already was. He didn't know how he didn't notice it already, but when you touched the concrete in New York City, he felt it. Something in him awakened, like he realized how amazing it was to have this tour going on, for one, two, you were there. You were always there. You were always right in fucking front of his eyes.

You lay face up on the bed in your hotel room, staring at the ceiling. The room is freezing considering the heater doesn't work, and you needed the window open to get some fresh air. You're wrapped in a blanket you'd brought from home for comfort, and hidden under the thick bedsheets you'd been given for the night.

The show went well as per usual, at least.

What wasn't going well was the fact you couldn't sleep.

All because of a certain blonde haired boy who was currently obsessed with sweatshirts and jeans.

His laugh was contagious, his smile shining a thousand sun's, his eyes flowing as deep as the sea you longed for back in Europe, which you frequently walked with MotherInnit. You could stare at him all day, you'd never realized how you felt about him, or the fact the way you thought about him was romantic.

You stare up at the ceiling, a boob light hanging above your feet. It was times like these where you wished you could afford a nicer hotel. The mattress itched of dirty sheets and crumbs, which were not caused by you, or maybe that was the fear of sleeping in a bed that wasn't yours... one of the two.

You wanted to stomp up to Tommy's room, a floor above you and down the hall some, to just rant about taking him on a proper date tomorrow considering how much you'd enjoyed your "date" earlier. But you didn't have the heart, you lay with your stomach twisting and turning, heart aching and burning for him by your side to warm you up.

The bustling city night life soothes you to sleep, the vehicles below on the streets all headed home or to work or around the city. The people shoulder to shoulder on the street, enjoying a peaceful walk to wherever their feet were taking them, the homeless girl you'd given a couple hundred dollars to earlier as she played her flute. A boy about her age had joined her since then, wielded with a guitar, possibly becoming friends through bonding with their interests and the fact they were both struggling.

You could hear their music even from four floors up and through the city traffic, it was beautiful. They fit together perfectly, like two neighboring pieces of a puzzle. You wished you felt that way with Tommy. You wished you could come clean to him about your feelings and how you really thought of him. Yet, tonight was not that night.

The panic had set in from last night now.

You were barely awake when you stared up at the ceiling, swooning over your best friend, but now you were wide awake and in total realization of your thoughts. You internally cringe every time you think about it, wanting to vanish off the face of the Earth.

Through the last day in New York, you found yourself avoiding Tommy at all costs. From wandering off with Freddie to eating by your lonesome and spending time in your hotel room to "edit videos," you'd probably only spent a half hour around him.

He was growing concerned while Jack and Freddie shared a knowing look, knowing exactly what was happening. They'd both known of his crush on you, which spanned past the past four or so months. You finally realized you liked him back and wanted to deny it.

The two wanted to intervene but decide to let fate run its course, trusting that your natural human instincts would bring you together again. You bump into the blonde in the hallway, needing to go get ice to sit in it for an hour in the bathtub as some sort of therapy, which Tommy highly always made fun of you for. You apologize, the empty bin for ice in your hands.

"Ice?" He asks, then groans with a smile, "You seriously gonna sit in ice til we have to leave for the airport tomorrow morning?"

You shrug with a light smile, feeling your heart racing. You hear your own heartbeat pounding in your ears, drowning out his beautiful voice.

"Y/n? You okay?" He speaks, snapping you back to reality.

Without any thought behind it, you shoot your shot. "Do you wanna go on an actual date sometime?" You quickly speak, stumbling over your words.

His face quickly shifts to a smile, his smile lines showing themselves off. "Yeah! Wait, no, I mean like, "Yeah, sure," not like, "I'm so desperate, yeah-"

"Cool!" You quickly rush past him, your hands sweaty, your face flushing as you dart towards the ice machine.

He turns and watches you quickly speed walk away, his cheeks burning bright as he smiles, watching you walk away.

Taiya is a very closed off person who has a lot of trouble expressing his feelings. It's as if he can express basic emotions, but falters when his feelings cannot simply be conveyed through standard expressions, like a smile or a frown. It's what causes him to mess up, as we saw in the Madrex episodes. It's as if he's just never had to express himself as an individual so much, and has always just presented as an average guy, but doesn't really know how to put everything he feels into words. He's just not at the level of grand gestures to show his care and needs time to work his way through how he wants to express his feelings outwardly. We know he's known Bundorio for a while and Bundorio considers Taiya his best friend, but Taiya still has difficulty with physical affection and praising Bundorio. We also know he really is thankful for his team, as he says thank you to them to himself after Madrex's defeat, but he's not ready to say it directly. Then when Genba leaves he doesn't stop him bc he understands that his rage is fueling him and that leaving or staying is Genba's decision to make, but he can't let go at the same time. It's a development when Taiya tells Genba to keep his Change Axe. It's allowing him to stay tethered to Genba, even if Genba never intends to return. It's a gesture of care that seems so small in the moment, but for a guy who struggles with giving thanks and affection, it means the world. Allowing himself to recognize their significant bond means so much to his character, to his relationships, and to who he will become.

I often think about it as Taiya adjusting. He's adjusting to being a part of a group and he's adjusting to having friends that he can be open with. Taiya is friendly and does generally talk with people quite easily, but it's not the same thing as having close friends. Taiya is closed off to the team initially, even if he encourages the members to join, as he still feels like being more upfront about personal things is difficult. Thanking them and being upfront about his own distress is not easy for him. He has to be the cool one who knows what to do and he can't let himself slip.

I find it very interesting to watch as he's called out for not thinking of his team on a more personal level as he tends to disconnect. He can't ask for help, he doesn't know how to at that time. He knows how to reach out on a basic level, but having others reach for him is so foreign to him then. He knows how to guide but he doesn't know how to be honest and open. He can't be personal beyond a certain point, bc it's not something he's used to. He doesn't mean to come off as uncaring, but he's never really had people that he can open up to and he doesn't know how navigate. It's why, when he's faced with a bit too much pressure, he closes himself off and tries to avoid the issue, but it's not enough, he knows the issue will eventually come back around. He needs his team to question him, to call him out, to challenge him, and to care. He needs to know that he can stumble and that he can let other people guide him. There's been so many instances in which Taiya is thrown off by his team, and it's pushing him to rethink his actions and how he'll proceed. It's a big adjustment and it's taking time, but he knows that his life has become a little brighter with the others in it.

sooo i’m currently rereading kmky and im at the point where stanford gets upset that bill didn’t show up to ONE dream and just stops sleeping for 10 months (definitely not extreme on his part😭) and it’s got me thinking about later in the fic when he’s made it his life’s mission to Kill Bill ® and i cant help but wonder what would’ve happened if he had succeeded, this is the same man who freaked out from not having bill in his dreams so how the hell did he plan to cope without bill in existence

I get the feeling that he wouldn't have succeeded. A key point about Bill in my own lil head canon is that he's very hard to kill. The parallels between Bill and Zippy were very purposeful in kmky. The attitude he developed after outliving his people and the many assassination attempts from more powerful beings over the years is similar to Zippy's "what are you going to do about it? Kill me bitch!" attitude. The interesting thing about Zippy though is that she eventually found her equal in Jolene of Flames. Jolene isn't immortal though (unless Bill gave it as a wedding present) so Zippy might lapse back into destructive behaviours if Jolene ever passes away.

Back to Stanford though, he was in a downward spiral since the bibliosphere. He was disappointed he didn't die. He then goes off to find out more about Bill only to wake up with Bill literally cut out of his head courtesy of Jheselbraums metal plate. Jheselbraum sends him on a mission to build this gun playing on that hopelessness all "here's a purpose now you've hit rock bottom, it'll solve all your problems BC you're destined to kill Bill. You can trust me I'm an Oracle, you totally have the face of the man who'll take Bill down" and he just accepts this without really challenging it in any way BC he is already despondent in a way that Bill is out of his head. Bill made him feel important. He could have taken his new metal plate and gone to live out his life elsewhere happily but he wants to feel important and he wants to see Bill one last time, like some romantic hero, thinking they're destined to destroy each other, thinking that feels right.

When he was in the alternate world with the Institute of Oddology he came across as a man on a suicide mission and realised it too after spending enough time with Fiddleford, enough to be scared a little of the prospect, of realising how much he could lose by pursuing this, but he did it anyway, jumping into the portal to go kill Bill. This wasn't his Fiddleford, this wasn't his life that had been built up to such great heights so it was easier to give up on the idea of staying around for these things.

He was fully expecting to die, and I think he would have straight up broken down if Bill didn't kill him. If Bill caught him or kept him alive he would have in a way expected punishment or a solution somehow. They were both equally thrilled at the prospect of chasing each other down, like it was a special treat for them to each fill that role of hunter/prey in turn.

When the Portal opened and he's back with his family he would still feel justified or righteous in a way because his destiny wasn't stopped, just interrupted and now he has more reason than ever to prevent Bill from accessing earth. He starts getting more to live for outside of Bill and more parts of his life he wants to protect. He had zero support structure before but now he has concrete things to live for and put above this cat and mouse back and forth.

If he had succeeded he probably would have felt more guilt than is canon typical, I think Stanley making the big sacrifice redirected his guilt in canon to be more balanced. If he managed to down Bill in one shot I think he would have felt triumphant and also felt like he would have to hide his sadness from the kids and his family, and it would probably eat away at him until someone noticed and lanced the boil of those emotions so he could grieve freely. He'd be with family at that point though, and old friends, ppl who knew what Bill was like. I imagine Fiddleford would be great comfort to him, knowing that while Bill was generally awful he showed his good sides only to Stanford and that meant something. I think that could eventually help him heal from it.

Anyway super long rambley answer sorry if I got a little off task there but I hope this somewhat covers it.

I feel like nobody has written enemies to lovers trope for Clegan. In highschool!au Gale despite being a "nerd" he's very popular among the students.His perfect face, his perfect scores, his hair everything has a fan club of their own and equally popular Bucky is the resident jock-Playboy™ who's the captain of the football team. Gale does not like Jhon at all. Hates everything about him. While Jhon keeps picking on him, teasing him, challenging him only because he has a huge crush on Gale. Eventually Gale loves the attention, loved the teasing and gives it back to Jhon the right way. Gale is forced to go on a school trip and somehow is stuck with Bucky. Maybe lost in the woods idk and their feelings starts to come out. Bucky in a heated argument confesses he's only been a brat towards him to hide his feelings and he probably fell in love with him at first sight. Gale confesses he likes him too. They make out and eventually find their way back to everyone. Bucky's friends grinning guessing something happened and Gale's fanclub glare at him for getting Gale into trouble.

This sounded so much better in my head but it's sounds so boring and cliche when typed out

I do think their personalities are so different and clash in multiple ways that I'm surprised no one has written an enemies to lovers; I think the high school setting would be perfect for that because teenagers are absolutely insufferable. They would think all of the posturing is a personal attack as opposed to showing affection and just root in their personal beliefs that the other person hates them (everyone at school knows they're in love)

hoo boy I can already imagine the confession scene and I gotta tell ya, it's perfect lmao. my fave confessions are when they accidentally slip out during an argument. I think Gale would be grilling John about getting them lost, and John would be getting all defensive about it, claiming he's not perfect like "King Cleven". Gale would scoff at the nickname and start egging him on more, calling him dumb or a meathead or smth.

John starts getting even more defensive and closed off, attacking Gale and his "fanclub" and wondering why he even has friends at all. He maybe would start listing all of the things that annoy him about Gale, how smart he is, how put together he is, how just perfect he is, and Gale would scoff and say smth like "Didn't know you were in love with me"

And then it just sort of slips out, John is in love with Gale and he stops in his tracks at the realization. He stops arguing with Gale and just sorta looks sheepish, maybe just says like "Of course I am". Maybe Gale doesn't even say anything and just kisses him instead. They make out, hilarity ensues they live happily ever after.

I love high school aus they're so dumb and young and silly. I think this would make a great fic anon, don't be so hard on yourself!

so I thought it'd be fun to do a follow up post to the casey/jorge/valentino one where I just dumped a bunch of photos with a wee bit of context... for the culture, y'know. and I'm doing this with just casey/valentino, mostly for 2007-09 but with one 2005 photo chucked in as. build-up. for flavour

we know from the #archives that the two of them did have like. a reasonably warm dynamic pre-casey's motogp debut. they'd talked... also at least one race where casey shows up to valentino's podium and chats to vale's crew chief and fellow aussie jb... I think about it often. what did it all mean

casey's first win!!! qatar 2007, very first race with ducati. he'd gotten very close to a win before - in his third ever premier class race at turkey, lost at the final chicane. casey's goals going into that first season with ducat had just been winning a few races... he notes that valentino congratulates him warmly, but reckons it's just because valentino didn't take him seriously as a threat, which. I don't think that quite stacks up with supplementary evidence from the time, but we'll allow it

one of my fave photos for a reason, idc it's sweet. I was trying to figure out when this photo was from through like, normal means of reverse image search, but then instead I had a horrifying moment of 'oh yeah I'm pretty sure I remember that specific presser backdrop is at mugello that year' and. I was right. which. god. anyway yeah mugello 2007 pre-event presser. by this point casey was 21 points clear in the championship standings

more mugello 2007!!! look at casey constantly sipping from his lil cup. this will have been after qualifying, where casey snagged pole. I'd forgotten valentino actually makes front row in qualifying because he makes a typically horrendous start. I'd also forgotten that this race is like. proper good. one of the best that year. slows down eventually but the first ten or so laps are some of the most exciting of the entire alien era

catalunya 2007, which unfortunately I also dated solely through the presser backdrop. idk I just like the vibes of this photo. anyway!! this race is ofc the one where casey won an all timer late race duel against valentino (+ dani). it is after this race that valentino said casey was, and I quote "riding like a god". a seminal moment

the championship is already extremely over by the time they get to estoril, but casey still needs to formally wrap it up: this is his first match point race. depicted here is valentino getting one of his few Ws that season. an account of this event: “valentino was playing table football in the yamaha hospitality and somebody spotted casey outside. so they invited him for a challenge. it was all good fun”

motegi 2007. valentino had managed to put off the inevitable the race before and temporarily stopped casey from sealing the title, taking his last win of the season (cool duel with dani in that one). but motegi... well honestly it's just a bit of a flop all round, nobody's bike is working the way they want it to, casey seals the title with his worst result all season of a sixth place (the horror) and in his autobiography he was kinda like 'well I was very happy but also. meh race' (I paraphrase). but really, who cares, he had his title

bit of a time skip!! after both of them have put their sketch early 2008's behind them, the pair of them had a proper fun fight at catalunya for p2. a continuation of the battle the year before with valentino once again coming from lower down the field, this time he gets the better of casey. still, things are finally looking up at ducati... and the post-catalunya test might be enough to put casey right back in title contention. the above photo is from donington, where casey confirms the progress ducati made by winning his first race of the season after the opener in qatar

still donington, both of them watching each other etc etc. valentino is in a much better place than the year before, given both casey's rough start to the season and how they're both now on the same tyres. but it's not a good sign if casey's hitting his stride... at assen, valentino makes his one mistake of the year and crashes on the first lap, remounting to finish eleventh (he still beats casey's teammate melandri). this puts dani in the championship lead - and with casey's second win in a row, he is now very much closing in

look at them chatting here!! cute imo. this is casey's third win in a row, at the rainy sachsenring. dani crashes out from a few miles in the lead - while casey had stayed sensible and brings it home for a pretty straightforward victory. valentino needed to fight his way through from further down the field and in the end he loses too much time to put any serious pressure on casey, but it's still damage limitation and he retakes the championship lead from dani (who will miss the next race due to an injury sustained in the crash). and yet, momentum really is firmly on casey's side now... and the rest of the calendar does looks like pretty casey-friendly territory. next up, they're headed to a race track where casey had won very comfortably the year before. would he seal his fourth consecutive win at laguna?

now with my sincere apologies to casey stoner, every photo that came out of laguna 2008 is objectively pretty funny. I have limited myself to a mere two podium photos, but lbr there's a full collection. casey had already rejected valentino's handshake in parc fermé - which some might have taken as a social cue to give him some space. whereas valentino, local dickhead, just will not stop yapping at casey on the podium. this is quite possibly as genuinely delighted as he gets after a race, and it's simply a beautiful contrast with casey who is not quite rude enough to actually tell valentino to shut the fuck up - but may be fantasising about pushing valentino off the podium. this, to me. is art

gather around body language experts, we need to have a conversation. this is at the pre-event presser of the race immediately after laguna, aka brno. by this point, casey's less than flattering remarks about valentino's riding at laguna had already been distributed near and far... everyone's been talking about them, people have Opinions. the captions for these photos are all something along the lines of 'stoner extends olive branch to rossi to apologise for his post-race comments after losing laguna'. now, I don't know if he literally is apologising in these actual photos - though of course he did publicly walk back his comments, saying all riders can react badly to losses and that he'd overreacted when he'd said he'd lost respect for valentino. he has since walked back his walking back, doubling down on his criticisms of valentino's comportment at laguna

still, for all the talk that the feud properly started after laguna, it's kind of fun to have the presser immediately after it showing... well, it does look like casey is actively engaging valentino in conversation, right? whether he's apologising or not - this isn't just valentino yapping at him, if anything it's the reverse. laguna had been right before the summer break, so casey had been given a month to cool off... and also be viciously criticised by the press. brutal, isn't it? it's not just the loss that sucks, it's also being excoriated by the press and fans for having the audacity to get mad over it. is all of this just him being forced into pretending to play nice to get the press to leave him alone? were there any genuine regrets over his laguna comments? what ARE the vibes between them like at this time? what story do these photos tell us

casey went on to crash out of this race from the lead, the first time he had done so in the premier class and his first dnf with ducati after their one and a half seasons together. when he crashed, he'd had a fairly comfortable lead over valentino - though valentino was steadily closing in, and the commentators were already rubbing their hands in anticipation of another laguna

the next race is at misano - and casey is struggling with an old hand injury, see the bandages in the photo. the previous year had been the first time valentino had gotten the chance to race at this circuit, so close to his home... but he'd suffered a mechanical dnf, not his first or last in a frustrating season. this year, everything is different - and casey once again crashes out of the lead as valentino takes victory in front of his worshipful home fans

another trip to america, this time for indy: their first time racing at the track. after the double whammy of brno and misano, casey's title charge is essentially over... but you never know, right? indy kinda gives off the vibe of being a good casey track

in the end, the race is extremely wet and very, very windy and is eventually red-flagged. because of how many laps they still have to go, it is initially unclear whether they would restart... at which point first valentino (who was leading), then casey (in fourth) go to dorna ceo ezpeleta to tell him they have less than zero interest in going out in that weather again. a beautiful moment of solidarity - long live the power of unionising, capable of overcoming even the bitterest of feuds. blast the internationale over the footage, I've seen enough. the race is called off and valentino wins his fourth consecutive race

by the time they get to phillip island, valentino has already won the title, courtesy of his fifth consecutive win at motegi - the same circuit casey had won the title at the year before and the home race of valentino's old enemies at honda. a couple of nice photos of jorge congratulating his teammate and casey spraying vale with champagne here. casey, known phillip island goat, would of course finally end valentino's win streak at that circuit, which is where the photos are from. idk they're fun to me, like this is still not that long after laguna. I'm aware being able to chat normally with your coworkers and share a smile with them isn't normally that high a bar, but canonically valentino has been known to completely blank some of his rivals. it's not like casey is particularly cold towards valentino either, eh

jerez 2009, where valentino gets past casey with a block pass at the final corner on his way to victory. unlike in 2005, he actually manages to not barrel into his rival. this is just a fantastic photo... I don't even have much to say about it. a+ vibes

a lot of the photos from this season were already included in the jorge/valentino/casey post, which reflects how casey wasn't consistently a factor in the same way the other two were. this one's from assen, the race right after catalunya when all three of them were tied on 106 points. very good side eye here, excellent job casey. unfortunately, casey is now in mystery illness territory - and he can't really compete with the two frontrunners in this stretch of the season

this is the first race after casey's return to competition - valentino goes up to casey after qualifying at estoril to congratulate him for his front row grid position. casey would win an early race scrap with valentino in the race itself, eventually finishing second behind jorge and swiftly silencing all the people who had declared him mentally weak and done for in his absence. a race that brought back suspense to that year's championship

phillip island 2009, another important moment in the canon where I've limited myself to just the one photo. casey wins just his second race back - and he also hugs vale pretty warmly in parc fermé. jorge was kind enough to crash in the opening lap, meaning valentino can very much be pleased with a second place here

and at sepang, valentino seals the title, while casey wins another race. casey ended up crashing in the warm-up lap of valencia, apparently due to an issue with the tyre warming? just kinda... the general vibe of his 2009, really. valentino closes off the season with another podium at his least favourite track, while dani takes the win

anyway after that they spent three years getting into increasingly. dumb arguments. like. so dumb. by the end of 2012 you feel you're killing your brain cells by even engaging with this stuff. it's beyond undignified. there's zero competitive justification, but they just couldn't shut up about each other. that being said, they're still capable of doing a small talk with each other even during the dark years, so that's something. maybe one day they'll finally be able to get that dinner and talk about all the good times

imagine ganon knows only link can defeat him so he kidnaps him as a six year old and takes him to an abandoned tower in hyrule forest with the intention of corrupting him and the master sword to get them on his side. zelda has been told all her life that the power of hylia is in her, but she hasn't unlocked it yet, and the pressure is getting too much so she sets off to find the "legendary future swordswoman" who went missing years ago because "if i can't unlock my powers, maybe she can help me."

one day, she finds the master sword (which ganondorf has been hiding near the tower because he's saving it for when he finally figures out a way to corrupt it, harness its power, and take over hyrule). she's like "oh my god what if the swordswoman is around here somewhere😱."

MEANWHILE link is in the tower with their gorgeous long hair (and maybe wolf link as a sidekick instead of pascal?), and every year on his birthday, the leaders of all the villages get together and hold a little mourning/prayer ceremony for her bc signs of the calamity are approaching fast, and they're hoping link shows up soon, especially with zelda's power not being awakened yet. link desperately wants to go see the ceremony (they don't know what it's for, just that there are a lot of beautiful lights and the dragons of hyrule all come together as well), but obviously ganondorf won't let him.

THEN zelda finds the tower and scales it. link is all "HYAH!!!!!!" and the scene where eugene is trapped in the chair with rapunzel's hair plays out between the two of them except it's just a lot of link being like 😡😡and zelda being like 🤭omg this guy's reallly good with a weapon...looks a lot like the descriptions of...WAIT OMG ITS THE LEGENDARY SWORDSWOMAN🤭 link is like "i mean 1/3 woman i guess."

eventually, zelda convinces link to leave the tower with a bargain like "if i take you to the swordswoman ceremony, will you tell me about ganondorf?" (she already suspects it's THE ganondorf ykyk), and link is hesitant because zelda is telling them that the person they've been raised by is evil, but he really wants to see the ceremony, so he goes. they cut their hair to its length in totk and it really validates her gender yk? and when zelda sees how happy link is in her newfound freedom and gender expression she's like "well i have to tell him the truth about who he is"

she doesn't want to because it'll shatter link's worldview and newfound peace, and she doesn't want to put a burden on their shoulders (bc hylia knows she knows what that's like), but she does it anyway. at this point, link is beginning to get flashes of memories from his childhood and realize what zelda is trying to tell her is true, so both of them go to kakariko village to talk to impa (and they plan to talk to the champions after), but once they get there, ganondorf is there waiting in front of the desecrated former village like HEY POOKIE. FOUND YOU. MISS ME?

he takes link captive again and accelerates his plans to take over hyrule. link is trying to find a way out, and zelda is trying to find a way to help him, but it's not working out very well lmao. meanwhile zelda goes to the champions and asks for their help, relaying everything she knows, and the champions make a plan to get link and stop ganondorf. they get to the area where the tower is, but ganondorf was expecting this and takes them captive

as this happens, link doesn't know what's going on and is alone in the tower. he finds the master sword and the secret tower staircase, but it's a trap laid by ganondorf to manipulate link into joining him because link escapes the tower only to find zelda and the champions all tied up and stuff. the bargain is like "join me and i won't kill your friends when i rule, but refuse and i'll kill them slowly and make you watch" (i came up with this on the spot i know it's a rough plot WORK WITH ME😭🙏)

link being link challenges ganondorf to a duel, and ganondorf accepts purely out of amusement bc at this point he thinks "link can't defeat me yet since he's been locked in the tower; he's only a danger if he's been trained." link whoops his ass, but ganondorf harnesses the power of the calamity at the last second (which he was planning to do just to teach link a lesson in obedience and whatever). he whoops LINK'S ass, but just as link is about to get killed, zelda's powers Come To Life, and she saves him. then they all work together to defeat ganondorf and they all live happily ever after

so much drama so many CHALLENGES i relate to max wanting to take a nap this is exhausting for MC but me? oh I'm living for this shit

my MC was honest to Jin but I have a feeling that might mean nothing because I think the betrayal is worse she cheated on him with Claudia who she has potential romantic feelings for rather than Max, just some guy she's barely talked to and switched to relatively last minute

but oh him being cold to her this episode 🥲🥲🥲

I of course mean this is the best way bc that's better writing than him being like oh well and then moving on

so I know I did defend Sienna last week and while her style does feel out of place, I appreciate them trying to give people different styles. At least it's not Oakley looking like he's got three layers on in the heat 🫢. that being said: I know that I haven't paid for one of the nicer sleepwear options yet but also Sienna who are you to talk about fashion

moving on, I do wish Max would get the hint because as soon as we entered casa MC has been like uhh Max, who? but he's acting like they have something and tbh while it is a branching issue, I've also just been playing this season weird and I kinda think it would happen anyway. like it feels like in s2 post casa when a bunch of the guys start acting the same.

actually most routes need to close sooner if the player chooses so because I think Hari and Hazel are cute but he needs to figure his shit out with MC soon especially since they've barely talked and he hasn't really pulled her aside to talk about where they stand. And I think Hari is a good LI bc he has his own personality (since his route isn't merged like OG boys or casa boys) but he's shoved in the background so much I almost forget he's there. But I think his story would be interesting bc he didn't get time with MC and he likes Hazel, but is genuinely struggling between the two (versus OG boy who doesn't like Sienna). And that's also fun bc from what I remember he comes off as someone who has it all figured out bc he's very driven and competitive and knows what he wants (but now he doesn't know what he wants). but again, unfortunately not much screen time for him.

back on the topic of routes needing to close though: MC getting randomly flirted at by Theo?? Claudia is confused by that, and so am I. reminds me of S4 when I first played I didn't go for Will but he just up and randomly was like hey we have a connection, right? and I was like uhhhh

also a small thing but I wish the little gossip drama things were more organic? like why do emel and Oakley have to run to pull MC aside to chat about drama when they could be chatting and MC comes up to them bc they're friends. Also it seems like every time this sort of thing happens it comes with a scene change which is so unnecessary. I'm OK with it sometimes but it feels like too much is going on when we are just sitting by the pool for ten lines of dialogue then flash to the beanbags only to get offered a gem scene that I might not even listen to. (actually bigger complaint: stop hiding the important content behind paywalls!!)

I however do still hope Claudia and Bea leave their men regardless if MC couples with them because I mean....

OK it's just a kiss but still I just need them to be happy and Claudia seems bored of men and Bea needs a hero to save her from Liam

so I had my MC kiss max on the cheek, marry Jin, and pie Liam (on behalf of Bea and also bc he's a jerk). Then she got the extra pie, and listen all my the options for the extra pie were so good. I wanted to pie Liam again or get Emel just for fun but had to go to Sienna for continuing to be smug and delusional about Jin.

so after this, you get the option to hear about the gossip from the night before from Oakley and Emel. and there's some continuity errors about what happened when. like it makes it seem like there should've been another night passed after the challenge, but no it just continues. I personally wouldn't mind I my there were some time skips. gives me space to hc what happens during them and also implies a night has passed without writing it, It doesn't make the most sense bc you'd want to know what your character is experiencing but it's just another option in.

another reason is bc we very quickly get another challenge! which means two challenges in one day and presumably that night (in the next volume) it's movie night.

im upset that it's couple goals 2.0 bc (1) i don't love repeat games and (2) love island has another game which is basically the same thing which is the ranking game where they essentially do couple superlatives and as a group have to come to a consensus about first second and third. and we have so many couples we could do it. it also is such a drama stirring game which seems like the goal here.

at some point we stopped getting the option to vote which is such a shame bc I would've voted Hari and Hazel for more things. And then hazel gets sad afterwards? babe I'd vote for you if I could 🥺

very little Claudia romance this volume unfortunately. and then not a lot of talking to Max either despite them allegedly having the best banter. however I'm living for all the chats with Jin. I'm like a toddler with no object permanence: like oh, Claudia isnt talking to me? guess I'm on back on a Jin route

also I was living for every chat she had with Jin, like they make him sound so sweet to MC

I still think having OG boy and MC be single and forced to switch was a bad choice because similar to my last post, they could've just not done that and changed very little. Like Jin was scared and switched to Sienna would've been fine but as soon as MC is back he's all about her (which happens a lot in the show). I guess the downside of this, now in retrospect, is you don't get the tension between OG boy and Casa boy because that was also so so good this volume.

Yknow an underrated tk trope that I love and need more of? The fell through the floor and is now trapped

YESSSSS!! This is extremely underrated (obviously the chances of that happening are also extremely rare but we'll ignore that for the sake of the concept 😇)

I have no idea why, but I can picture Sapnap getting stuck in this situation. he's always so competitive for absolutely no reason over EVERYTHING, so if something needs to get done and he thinks it could possibly a difficult challenge, he's the one that needs to do it or he throws a fit (and then dream and george normally let him do it anyway bc they dont wanna deal with a grumpy sap)

I can see them trying to do something inside the house, maybe replacing some lights or getting something from their attic (do they even have one? lets pretend they have one :D), and Sapnap steps on a soft bit of the ceiling and just.....falls through

and I dont think it would be anything major, I cant picture him going down to his waist because he's just so tiny, but I think one of his legs goes through the floor and he's stuck in a weird position where his shorts are stuck against the jagged wood that had snapped, leaving him essentially trapped even though he should be able to move

for whatever reason, dream tells sapnap that he's gonna remove his shoe to get a better grip on his foot. it doesn't phase him at first but oh boy does it phase him when instead of helping him, he feels ten fingers scribbling along the arch and heel of his foot, trying to kick but realizing his ankle was being held in place. he quickly put together that dream was holding him in place while george had free rein on his poor lil foot, and he wasn't showing any signs of stopping

sapnap was begging, pleading, screaming, wailing, slapping his hands against the attic floor - everything and anything to get them to stop. eventually they did (after dream showed george his most sensitive toe and taught george how to tk it to make sapnap fall into hysterics). eventually he hears a whine from george and realizes that dream finally takes pity on him, and he hears them both coming up the attic steps

however, he's quickly thrown back into nervous giggles as they both kneel in front of him and smirk, dream grabbing his other ankle and holding it steady

"you didn't think we would forget to give your other foot attention, did you?"

"yeah, you don't want it getting jealous, do you?

and of course sapnap pleads but......they don't care 😵‍💫 george just drags his nails along this foot and wiggles them until sapnap is in hysterics again, and they don't stop teasing or tkling until he safewords 🫠

I find myself obsessed with the concept of a Riverdale Macbeth and Romeo & Juliet fusion (with a smattering of Hamlet)

Imagine Hiram Lodge as Macbeth and Hermione Lodge as Lady M taking over Riverdale by killing Fred Andrews in a convenient “accident”. Archie knows this bc the ghost of his father told him (but he also could have just been high on the jingle jangle in those cookies but try telling that to the sheriff) and he is determined to take revenge but falls in love with veronica while infiltrating hiram’s drug operation (ok i guess there’s quite a bit of Hamlet ).

Betty is Rosalind in this situation (Archie’s ex who he leaves for Veronica). Betty is also an FBI informant (duh) who goes to Hiram and offers to spy on Archie for him (citing revenge for him dumping her) but secretly she feeds him false information that makes him increasingly paranoid (acts as three witches) and with Veronica’s help convinces Hermione to get hiram to dispose of the blossoms- the only other powerful family in riverdale that poses a threat to Hiram’s control of Riverdale (to stop Penelope blossom’s poisonous involment in g&g). Cheryl survives the attack and flees Thornhill (Fleance).

Meanwhile Jughead who has been resisting Hiram’s attempts to buy out sunnyside trailer park seeks out Archie (Malcolm) believing he is the solution to Hiram lodge’s power grab - he is now the only red-head in Riverdale and thus by an ancient law (introduced by the Blossoms- no wonder they wanted to set him up with Cheryl) could stand as a mayoral candidate at the last minute and can trigger an election and as ppl think he is a golden retriever he could push Hermione lodge out of office. And who else has the abs to defeat hiram in a boxing match?

Unfortunately archie is like, “oh idk if i could do that jug. Hirams a pretty buff dude ;)” When jughead (Macduff) returns home disappointed he finds the serpents have been attacked by the ghoulies employed by Hiram. FP is in hospital in critical condition. This motivates him to inspire the serpents and northsiders to unite against hiram. The southsiders respond with community organisation and the northsiders are also…helpful? Gay kevin puts on a musical denouncing Hiram lodge, Alice Cooper writes damaging articles and Josie McCoy sings at every protest. Sweet pea, Tony and Fangs are quizzical at first but eventually just shrug and enjoy these…interesting tactics.

Meanwhile hermione lodge is encouraged to flee as betty claims that hiram has begun to turn on her as well bc he knows about her affair with Fred Andrews. Veronica fakes an attempt on her mother’s life from Hiram, believing it will encourage her to leave. However, Hermione, overcome by guilt and fear, fakes her own suicide.

Hiram is sad but believes he is untouchable due to misinformation from betty, “Archie would never move against you and also you’re too powerful to be taken down by the FBI. Really, I promise!”

Veronica believes she has caused her mother’s death and in a game of G and G drinks from one of the goblets and has a seizure.

Believing jughead to be responsible for Veronica’s death (j made a very vague threat about hiram’s loved ones bearing the consequences of his actions) Hiram challenges him to a boxing match. Jughead accepts seeing it as a chance for vengeance. Things aren’t going with well for jughead without his flip knife.

Suddenly Archie sees Veronica’s body and believing her to be dead drinks from both cups just to be sure he will die too. Before he dies he rips his shirt in grief that it’s come to this. This distracts Hiram so Jughead is able to gain the upper hand. Turns out Archie had the abs to defeat him afterall!

Then betty arrives with the FBI in tow (Burnham forest baby!) and arrests Hiram before jughead can kill him. All mourn the tragic death of Archie and Veronica. But then cheryl shows up and A&V wake up- turns out there was no poison in either challis (she decided not to carry on her mum’s poison stuff…she prefers shooting ppl with her bow) She seems poised to shoot everyone in the room in revenge and then in Cheryl fashion announces that she never liked her family anyway and now she gets to inherit the whole blossom fortune. And she’s in a polyamorous relationship with Tony and Hermione lodge and sashays away with a “toodles”.

And just as you think, hey this isn’t too unhinged for Riverdale. All the characters wake up in hospital (bc they have the set so they need to use it) and discover they have all been in comas induced by the runoff from Cheryl’s uncle’s fizzlerocks production. Nothing matters bc it’s Riverdale. Goodnight!

FIC TIME FIC TIME!

I disappear for months bc of artblock and come back with a (pretty much) fully developed AU and fic. Anyways, expect art of this AU when I feel up to it! I got a drawing tablet again yippee!

I present to you the first thousand-odd words from my DCA-centric fic: Heart, Mind, Soul! I am E A T I N G up the amount of angst and plot twists planned for this. Buckle up bc this fic will be a loooong ride >:) this snippet is kinda fast paced though, since it's just reflection. I'll explain the AU itself more in another post later on, but for now I was vibrating with excitement over sharing this lil snippet (even though it doesn't really show why it's an AU yet... hee hee the element of surprise).

Without further ado!

One thing that could always be guaranteed about the charismatic Sun, is that he loved cleaning. Adored it, even. He could always rely on the repetitive motions to calm his frequently chaotic headspace. It gave him the rare, fleeting sense of clarity in his mind to think. He was a busy bee, after all! But, as selfish as he may admit, possibly the most enjoyable part of cleaning was that it wasn't something intrinsically coded into his system. It was something he adopted on his own, rather than something grand and imposing on his mind that constantly bit at his wires until completed. It was a choice that he could actively make instead of something akin to a human impulse. Something to learn.

And learning, he very much did. Yes, he observed the staff bots every day as they went about their monotonous routine. He memorised where each and every cleaning product was kept amongst the cluttered daycare cupboards, even calculating the amount of product used per square metre of floorspace. The cycle repeated until he felt confident enough in his abilities to take over the task, something the staff bots didn't seem to object to, moving onwards to prioritise something else in a matter of moments. They came back for the first few days, but eventually stopped their scheduled visits upon realising that Sun was not giving up his newfound role of Daycare Sweeper-polisher-duster-sanitiser- and, well, the list continues.

If it wasn't obvious, cleaning was almost his favourite thing in the world.

Almost. Looking after his wonderful little stars could never be beaten. As much as he disliked being defined by the traits he was involuntarily given, he could definitely say that his love for children was the only gift the plex had ever given him. He knew for a fact that even if the strings of code weren't burnt into every atom of his metal frame, he'd still love his little stars. That would never change.

Cleaning also most definitely didn't come above his best friend! His Moon, oh how dear he was to Sunny. As if it couldn't get any better (spoiler alert: it did!), it wasn't long before Moon adopted the habit of cleaning too. Luckily, sharing a frame meant he didn't need to go through the trouble of learning the skill himself. Moon felt the distant muscle memory, for lack of a better term, of Sun's experience when he decided to take up the challenge upon a dark night at the Plex. Not that Sun would have minded teaching him either way.

Despite the contrary belief of many of the human staff members, they were two separate entities. They didn't have to share memories; they didn't have to share anything. But they did because they wanted to, and because they were close. Thoughts and feelings were always uniquely their own, but often they'd choose to share them with each other for the sense of comfort they so rarely received from anyone else.

Oh, his Moony was often so helpful, so wonderful, completing anything and everything he could while the daycare was bathed in darkness. It was always a wonderful surprise to take to the front of their headspace once the lights lit up their keep, and find their daycare practically spotless.

Those were the only times Sun would ever be shut out from Moon's vision. It was a surprise, after all! It was the only gift they could really give to one another. Despite this, Sun would always insist how Moon didn't need to do so. He would always love cleaning! He would always love cleaning up the little stars' mess, and loved cleaning up their messes too. He loved looking after his counterpart, and if cleaning was the only way he could get that across, then it was all the more reason to love doing so!

Until it wasn't.

Until he had to convince himself, through an onslaught of static and error codes, that the red on the walls, the floor, the play mats, and himself, was just paint. Just paint. That's what he'd tell himself. And if he happened to spot the sinewy ribbons of something that's supposed to stay inside the body, not out, then he seemed none the wiser.

So he cleaned, and he cleaned. It gave him time to think. It gave him clarity. It was something he could do; something he would. It was the only way he could show that he cared.

White optics held a thousand-yard stare as he scrubbed, recalling a time he used to look so fondly upon. Sun had always called himself an optimist, Moon used to tease that the correct word was avoidant. It was all in good fun, their teasing. It was a dynamic between them that they both held fondly. They were both smart and quick-witted in their own ways, so it was great fun to have someone who could keep up. There was never a time that they didn't take pride in living up to their jester-like designs. Now the former tease just seemed dead and cold as he turned it over and over in his headspace.

Then again, it was true, wasn't it? Moon was always a realist. The perfect counterpart, after all. Day and night. That was where their similarities ended, and their ever-growing differences began.

To this day, Sun can't recall when the change started, when the wedge between them grew and grew until it cracked them in half. They used to be so frustrated when people considered them the same being. Now, however, Sun can see why they did. They were so intrinsically one, so close and so whole when together that they practically were, despite being entirely separate consciousnesses. One plus one equals one when they get along. It makes so much sense to him, despite it going against everything his computer-coded mind knows is fact.

Everyone knows now, though, that they couldn't be more different from one another; Sun's once-radiant self now just half of a grim story suitable for a theatre. Day and night. Love and hate. Comedy and tragedy. Fear and fury. How fitting.

Yet, Sun can't find it in himself to say he's a victim. If anything, he's just as bad as his counterpart. How many lies will he continue to cover up, how many more stories will he have to fabricate, or faces will he have to act clueless to? At least he doesn't need to fake the distress, it feels like the only authentic part of himself left. He used to take pride in being the face of Fazbear's theatre. Now the former title taunts him as he relays the news of the temporary daycare closure to his silent headspace. Another day, another act.

Sun allows these thoughts to settle in the pit of his wires as he cleans. It gives him clarity. It gives him peace. It gives him time to think.

And he's always said he loves clearing up Moon's messes, afterall.

I really like your art and I love reading all your ideas in your tags. I especially like how you go into Tuvok's bond with T'pel and how her absence affected him.

Since his bond was a combination of two minds creating something greater than the sum of its parts, how do you think this affected Tuvok when he and Neelix were fused as Tuvix? The relationship and similarities between being fused and having a bond mate. Do you think that Tuvok may have felt whole for a bit? Was it super invasive and in no way comparable to what he had with his wife? Or was is painfully similar, in that he longed for it. I would love to hear your thoughts on the matter. :)

I'm so sorry this took so long when you were so kind to me v_v I just forget things. Also!! There's no need for you to be even a little bit sorry let alone 'really' sorry~!! I haven't talked about this and even if I had - whatever, 's all good~!! I think the Tuvix things would be distinctly different from a meld or a marriage bond and I illustrated this in pictures bc it helps me visualize it better! (They're just lil sketchbook doodles)

So like, using Tuvok/T'Pel for this since she's his bondmate. When Tuvok has a stable bond with T'Pel they are 'two bodies one mind' but since they are two bodies and do different things all day/have different personalities/upbringings their 'one mind' is constantly being shaped by the two of them. They are distinct beings who are just constantly sharing ideas, thoughts and feelings with one another. They're more of a 'unit' in my mind than a singular person. I used the IDIC symbol to visualize this bc I realized it was sort of similar; two seemingly disparate shapes come together to make something beautiful, but you can still see all the parts that make the whole. Meanwhile Tuvix is a distinct person. Neelix and Tuvok don't communicate while they are joined within him (as evidenced by the fact that they can't be asked their opinion on separating him in the episode. They have essentially 'died' in order to make Tuvix) and Tuvix seems to view them as more his parents. They provide a certain amount of background for him (he remembers their relationships with people) but has his own will and talents separate from them (He appears to be shown as very charismatic which neither Neelix nor Tuvok seem to be in canon, though I personally find them charming). I would characterize Tuvix more of a 'son'. Tuvok and Neelix's experiences are his 'upbringing' but they are no longer there to have opinions on what's happening. He can guess what they would think but as he's a distinct person his thoughts on them are colored by his own personality. (As evidenced by him saying they'd both want him to live which Janeway challenges) I visualized this through numbers. When you see the number '3' you can imagine how it got there...2+1, 4-1, etc but you can't see it. I also wanted to show two people who are not bonded. As you can see Tuvok is a 'whole' person without a bondmate but I imagine he wouldn't feel that way because of how long he's operated as a bonded mind. As he said, "I feel incomplete without them." To me it doesn't seem that being part of Tuvix would be comparable to a bondmate as 'Tuvok' doesn't exist while part of Tuvix. He isn't a 'unit' he's a small and static component of a completely different person. Hypothetically, if Tuvix had been allowed to live he would have probably eventually stopped closely resembling either Neelix or Tuvok as he would have other things and experiences to draw from in regards to who he was. It's sort of the difference between discussing where you want to eat with someone else as opposed to reading online reviews?? You wouldn't really say you came up with a decision together in the latter case.

But I also don't think Tuvok would find it invasive. I think he would find things like his brainwashing by Teero or being assimilated into the borg invasive but the Tuvix situation feels more like he'd think it was 'interesting' or 'mildly disconcerting'. He might vaguely dislike the thought of almost being unfaithful to his wife but also have to just accept that Tuvix wasn't him v_v which I think he could do pretty easily. Maybe Neelix would be more perturbed by it hehe...~
