summary: in which your watch a dance battle and one of the cute participants injures himself

a/n: i’m honestly unsure about how you guys are finding this series :/ but i hope you guys like this one of woojin as i actually had fun writing it and i guess this will also be part of the #protectwoojin project in light of what happened a while ago, sexualising minors is NOT OKAY!! lmao this isn’t really fluffy but it is still cute i think???? well pls message me to let me know what you think and omg guys 2park are ruining my bias list kjhdkjhqkhdqk esp woojin bc i couldn’t take my eyes of him in the practice videos even tho i was trying so hard to stay loyal to daniel dont worry guys i am still loyal !!

you’re a nursing student 

you wanted to study nursing and become a nurse because you really want to help people and bring hope to others

ever since you were young you’d admired your mother who was a nurse

and studying it was very tiring 

it was pretty intense at uni and every so often you would go on placements and sometimes even out of seoul 

for this particular placement you and your nursing friend sohye were sent to busan 

and placement there was hectic but very fun 

you guys had to dorm with each other for the week there and you guys got close

when placement ended on the friday afternoon, sohye suggested checking out a dance battle that was taking place at the square in the main town lmao sorry i have no idea what busan is actually like bc never been but moving on 

and so you decide to go with her to check it out 

even though you can’t dance at all you loved watching people dance and you thought it was absolutely beautiful how some people could dance so well and beautifully to the beat 

you guys arrived and noticed that there were lines drawn on the ground to form a big square so audiences were to form neat lines around the lines on the ground to watch

there were already a lot of people there and there were tons of people with banners which you assumed were the dancer’s names

you noticed there were tons of banners that said “park wooijn” and you wondered who this park woojin was and what his dance skills were like 

you and sohye had a decent spot in the second row on one side of the square and you had a perfect view bc the person in front of you was a small girl

the dance battle started and so many dancers came on and you were in awe of how good they all were 

you cheered a lot and whooped with the crowd and it was really fun 

before you knew it, it was the last dance battle between 2 guys 

the mc announced, “alright this is who we’ve all been waiting for: busan’s very own park woojin and im youngmin who are from the same XX dance academy! let’s welcome them on stage!!” im youngmin is my number 1 tbh and i had to bring him in i love him to bitssssss

you turned your head towards where these 2 boys that arrived at the middle of the square and you couldn’t believe how good looking they were

your eyes naturally landed on the shorter guy, who had brown hair and looked rather shy but hey he was super cute 

he also looked really nervous and seemed to be twitching his fingers slightly 

you cheered and gave him a thumbs up thinking he probably wouldn’t see you but in that moment his eyes looked up and met yours 

his eyes were a beautiful brown like orbs 

his mouth spread into a big grin revealing a cute snaggletooth poking out as he nodded in your direction 

“omg sohye that cute dancer noticed me!” you say as you slap sohye lightly on the arm

you were excited because a cute dancer had noticed you and you soon learnt that he was the park woojin everyone seemed to be a fan of which you could wholeheartedly agree with bc heck he was cute and probably a talented dancer 

the dance battle started and youngmin went first and he was super good during this time you focused fully on youngmin and cheered super loud 

when his turn was over woojin took over the dance floor

and you were AWESTRUCK because his moves were more complex than any of the other competing dancers and his moves were very smooth 

and compared to his outer shy and nervous appearance when he was dancing he was literally on fire and you could see the passion in his eyes

it was like a reversal charm and you could feel butterflies in your stomach

you cheered the whole time and at times he would make direct eye contact with you when he was dancing which didn’t help the butterflies in your stomach and you felt your cheeks turn a slight red

your eyes continued to stay glued to woojin and he was doing his final move which included a flip 

when he flipped over, he lost his footing and skidded and his knees landed on the floor instead of his feet 

the whole crowd gasped in shock and you felt worry take over you 

although you didn’t know him personally you felt like he was in pain 

and what was worse was that he was wearing ripped jeans hence there were bruises on both his knees and blood could be seen as well 

youngmin quickly helped him up and ushered him to the side while the mc announced that youngmin had won 

rather than the outcome you hoped that woojin was alright 

they crowd slowly started to disperse as they were disappointed in woojin’s landing 

sohye had to go to the bathroom so you hung around waiting for her 

you suddenly saw woojin and youngmin on a bench  

suddenly you fiddled through your bag and found your first aid kit 

ever since you started studying nursing you got into the habit of carrying out a mini first aid kit in your bag just in case if accidents happened 

it actually came into use when a boy fell off the monkey bars at the local playground and you happened to be passing by so you were able to help him 

you decided that there was no harm in approaching woojin to ask if he was ok and needed help and you weren’t a super shy person so you took a deep breath and walked over to them 

when you stood in front of them, both the boys looked up in surprise waiting for you to speak

“uh hey sorry if this is weird but i was at the dance battle moments ago and woojin-ssi i saw that you injured yourself and i was wondering if your knee is ok?” you asked politely 

woojin looked at you confusedly as he then recognised your face

“oh yes i saw you! thanks for asking but im fine” replied woojin as he tried to cover up his knee with some pocket tissues 

“are you sure? its bleeding, i’m a nursing student so i can help you,” you say pointing at his knee that was soaked with bloody tissues

“uh no i’m-” says woojin 

but youngmin cut him off, “that would be great if you could help, there aren’t any open pharmacies nearby and its too much of a deal to go to the hospital” 

you nod happily and take out your mini first aid kit and start to treat him by tending to his wounds and then gently wrapping it with a bandage 

while doing so you could feel your heart beat and little did you know woojin was getting super nervous because he thought you were cute too 

as you finished you stood up and said “there you go its all done!” 

“thanks so much,” replied woojin, “can i have your name?”

“it’s y/n” 

“you don’t sound like you’re from busan” notes youngmin

“yeah i’m not, i’m from seoul and i’m here for placement for nursing” you reply 

they both start to ask you a lot of questions about what seoul is like and being a student and all that 

when suddenly this man dressed in very formal attire comes up to you guys

“is this park woojin and im youngmin” he asks

the boys nod in reply confused as to what was happening

“i’m mr kim from brand new entertainment and i saw you two boys at the dance battle and i was very impressed by both your high level of skills. woojin even if you were injured, i could see lots of potential in you. would you boys be wiling to come to seoul for an audition?” asked the man 

the boys look at each in shock and then excitment and scream adn hug each other 

the man laughs at them while woojin accidentally pulls you into the hug 

you were so happy for woojin bc he was such a talented dancer 

the man gives the boys some files to read over and arranges to meet up with them tomorrow to discuss travel plans etc. 

when the man leaves

woojin shyly says, “y/n, we’ll get to see you when we go to seoul for the audition right?”
