I had no plans on purchasing the @BeccaCosmetics #BECCABFFs Malika face palette until I saw @thefancyface’s demo on YouTube. When I saw how Tina was able to get the “lit from within” look with the highlighter, I knew that this palette was just my style. And I do love love this palette. I tend to buy similar blush colors over and over again, but I was able to fill the gap in my collection with Make Me Blush and Yes Girl! I have fairly neutral feelings about the Kardashians and their posse, but I was somewhat annoyed at how light the Malika bronzer in this quad is. I don’t think it will show up on complexions deeper than a MAC NC45. According to Becca’s webpage, Malika wears their Ultimate Coverage Foundation in the shade Expresso. My shade in that foundation is Cafe mixed with Maple, which means that I am at least a full three shades lighter than Malika. It showed up in my skin beautifully, but I had to pack it on. There’s no way that Malika can wear that as a bronzer. Despite wearing sunscreen, I do have a tendency to tan during the summer months to about the same shade or just a tad bit deeper than @breezelouisse, who also did a review on this palette. The bronzer was nonexistent on her skin, so I probably won’t be able to use this palette during the summer months. To conclude, I did like this palette. But I wish that Becca formulated the palette for darker skin. More importantly. I wish that Malika, who actually has darker skin, actually fought for a deeper bronzer instead of just slapping her name on a package and collecting a check. —————————————————— Where the mirror meets the soul. My first impressions & swatch observations of the new @fentybeauty #SUNSTALKRBRONZER:

This formula swatches like a dream. I was digging hard to get the most color payoff for my arm, and there was little kickback or falloff. The powder is soft, but did not disintegrate into my fingers.

#Caramelcutie & #islandting will look glorious on my #fenty360 / #fenty370 /#macnc45 / #esteelauder5n1 #maybelline330 complexion. When I tan during the summer (#macnc50 / #narsbahia / #smashbox405,) #caramelcutie & #coconaughty will give me the perfect #summerglow.

My only critique is that I wish these bronzers went deeper. Fenty has made it very clear on Instagram that these bronzers will work for their deepest foundation ranges. How deep is my question. I would have LOVED to see a range close to what @marenabeaute offers. But keep in mind that bronzers can be very deceiving to the eye. Don’t judge a bronzer by the photos. Judge the bronzer by its swatch.

I haven’t yet tried the bronzers on my face. I will update you on the performance at a later time.
