The university protests are the result of so many complex socio-political and economic factors, and I genuinely don't want to minimize the presence of other influences

But at the same time, it is REALLY hard not to look at the liberal and republican response to college students exercising their First Amendment rights and hear the sound of decades of authoritarian parenting standing over you and yelling "look what you made me do!"

Update, it's been an hour and a half and I successfully wrote a letter that's four entire pages for therapy tmr and successfully included several jokes (such as titling one page "dear, wwotw"* and signing off with "-dorothy (mr red shoes don't fit)", and another starting with "dear, old dog" and ending with "-new tricks") and some rather hilarious (in a deeply fucked up way) jabs at the reason for the letters (the so called "old dog", by which i said he should be put down) and now i feel nothing but intense sleepy

Now I must sleep,

Guys I forgot what I was doing and accidentally dropped myself into a pit of Bad Feelings and now it's 317am and I'm going out to the living room to find some paper and a stupid fucking rainbow pen set so I can write to my therapist how upset I am and why

Wifwy is picking up some new slats for the bedframe so we can have better support on it because last night she wanted to fuck and I was just like lmao shame about the bed definitely dropping us both to the floor if we try and she was so grumpy but she knew I was right so this morning as soon as we both had coffee she was up measuring the bed for new slats and supports lmaooooooo

I love a woman who knows what she wants and what she wants is to fuck her husband

Current plan for today because I have virtually no clients:

Start a load of laundry

Clean the bathroom:

- wipe down the tub

- sweep

- wipe down the sink and mirror

- wash the walls and radiator

- clean the toilet

- add toilet tablet to the tank

- empty sink cabinet

- wipe down sink cabinet

- organize sink cabinet

- wash baseboards

- wash floors

- wash tub and tiles

Switch the 1st load of laundry to the dryer and start a second load of laundry

Move recycling bags out of hallway

Clear last of Doom Pile in front of kitchen window

Sweep and wash floors from the bedroom door to the kitchen window

Switch the laundry over

Fold laundry and appts and documentation and music break

Wifey took a nap so some cleaning got derailed for the sake of her peace. I think we can all agree this is a worthwhile cause.

Anyway, still got a ton of stuff done and the house is genuinely looking much better already, plus I have a plan for tomorrow that I think will go well. Just need to find out where a couple of things got moved.

Fingers crossed all goes well and I can have cleanliness and good peace of mind for a while after the inspection too.

Today I will:

Do some reading

Empty out the closet

Empty out the Doom Bins

Wash 2-4 loads of laundry

Scrub the inside of the closet

Organize the closet

Put away doggie den in closet

Fold and put away laundry

Rotate dresser

Put all dirty laundry in hampers

Sweep bedroom floor

Organize TV stand

Scrub bedroom floors, walls, floorboards, windowsills, windows, and radiators

Scrub doggie water fountain, mat, and dish

My day has spontaneously decided to give me the gift of an early end. I'm gonna have a shitload of paperwork to do, but no client-facing stuff. And frankly, paperwork is hard for me, but it gets done one way or another. So I'm not too worried about that. And getting to be done with client facing stuff early means getting to do self care things that make paperwork easier. So I'm pleased. So far today is turning up BBotB.

I'm working on some things. I can't make any promises, because I'm trying not to get ahead of myself. But I feel like it's important to me that I really commit to what needs doing right now and I want to do it right.
