1.Safe for senior cat I love it ! It worked just took a couple hours to fully stop my cats from itching. I had tried capstar and capaction and the fleas kept coming back and I don’t even let my cats outside so I tried this and it worked got rid of fleas and stopped my cats from itching. Im very happy I was nervous at first bc my cat is a senior cat and sensitive but it all worked out. Only downside is that it’s topical so even if you put it on their back between their shoulders it leaks sideways, so I put a shirt on them overnight till it dried up in a way. My younger cat licked it and started salivating like crazy that’s why I suggest you put on a shirt on them if you apply it because I’m sure it’s not safe for them to ingest I had to rinse his mouth out it was very scary but he is fine! Make sure you always stay around your pet to watch for any reactions and to make sure they don’t lick it! Great quality and came a couple hours after I placed the order.
2. I did not have a big Flea problem with my BIG 20+ Tuxedo Cat but I noticed eggs and fleas on his Back and I did not want this to go any further since I also have a Boston Terrier puppy who was not yet infected. I only bought the Large Cat Advantage II and I am happy to pronounce a Flee free home. We are still Flea free and will purchase Advantage II again if needed. P.S. the sooner you spot the problem the faster it is eliminated, so don't wait for the Flea Horde to run you out of Town. Moi, Meow and Woof, Woof family. 3. Best Flea protection by far! Since using Advantage II, the fleas are gone! Works fast in just 24 hours our cat was scratching a whole lot less and a few days later almost all the fleas were gone! Our family has been using this for a couple months now and our cat is flea free and happy again. I would highly recommend Advantage II. Thanks so much for making a great flea protection that truly works!
4. Used this for all my cats I've ever owned and loved. Still use it for my new strictly indoor kitty babies: 7 year old tuxedo boy, 4 year old dilute tortie girl, and 8 month old Russian blue baby boy...works like it always had except one issue I am seeing this year in particular in northeast United States....I have started to apply doses of 1/4 of a tube once every 2 weeks to actually rid them all of the fleas from coming back which is the first year in over a decade I've had to do this w these types of meds (I used a different brand before until it no longer did anything)...fleas are becoming stronger to survive the meds I think....but if you do the whole every 2 weeks for 2 months (after giving them whole tube/make sure you use the one strictly FOR THEIR AGE AND WEIGHT) of a 1/4 or less of a tube on each cat you'll be flea free for months....but I stand by this product 100 percent cuz it's the only one I've ever used for a decade now that doesn't attempt to harm or kill my cats like some other products similar...
5. My kitty was scratching and scratching. I assumed it was fleas, so I came to Amazon to find a flea med! This one had a ton of good reviews so I went with it. It came really quickly (in a day) and it worked. Easy to apply, small amount so it wasn't a fight with my cat to get her to stay still for a long time. I've used this on her probably 3 times now and it works great! I have no cons and I've not seen any negative effects on my cat from it!

Disadvantages of Advantage II Flea Prevention for Large Cats – 2-Month Supply, Vet-Recommended for Cats Over 9 lbs
Not for Kittens Under 8 Weeks: Only suitable for cats over 8 weeks old, limiting its use for younger kittens.
Only for Cats Over 9 lbs: This treatment is designed for larger cats, so it’s not appropriate for smaller or lighter-weight cats.
Requires Application on Skin: Some cats may be difficult to apply topical treatments to, making it a bit challenging for pet owners.
Potential for Skin Irritation: Though rare, some cats may experience mild irritation at the application site.
Not a Comprehensive Tick Solution: Primarily focuses on fleas, so additional treatment may be necessary for tick control, depending on your area.
One-Time Use per Month: Unlike some flea treatments that are long-lasting or monthly chewables, this is limited to one application per month, which may be less convenient for some owners.

Cheaper equivalents for the blockbuster brands, which both kill and repel pests, have quietly eluded consumers for years. Even today, they’re nowhere to be found at many of the biggest pet specialty stores, like PetSmart or Petco. And they’re absent from popular online pet pharmacies like Chewy.com or PetMed Express.
Their elusiveness is not by accident, according to a federal lawsuit by one of the generic’s makers, but a scheme by the brand-name products’ company to block competition. Filed in the U.S. District Court in Northern California, the lawsuit by Tevra Brands offers a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse of the multibillion-dollar pet medication market, where a few major companies have a stranglehold on pricing. Tevra’s suit claims it lost tens of millions of dollars because Bayer Animal Health, a former subsidiary of the German pharmaceutical giant, conspired to maintain its monopoly over the treatment it created.
Tevra sells its generic topical treatments for cats and dogs on its website, on Amazon and elsewhere, but the company argues that Bayer prevented it from reaching pet owners where they’re most likely to shop and depriving them of a better deal. Its line includes TevraPet Activate II for dogs and ActiSpot II for cats, as well as Vetality Avantect II for dogs and Advotect II for cats. Its ActiSpot II 6-dose treatment for large cats cost $30 on Amazon.com, as of May 15. The brand-name equivalent, Advantage II for cats, cost more than twice as much – $64 – on Chewy.com.
GDI this makes me mad and happy at the same time. At least now I know. I checked on Amazon and 4 doses of flea and tick repellent is $27! You usually spend as much for a single dose from the other brands.
So I just had to share for anyone else on a budget with a pet.

Okay so, updates!
Argos has gastroenteritis— which basically is a upset tummy that is a little more than what it seems. Usually you have to have medicine and strong probiotics to get the gut back to health. Something that can be corrected easily and isn’t as dire as I feared!
Thankfully Argos is doing better today and sleeping a lot (I think he was too uncomfortable to sleep before) but he’s already acting more like himself. :)
I went back to the vet today to sign Argos (and Mummble, my cat) up at this vet, which helped reduce the cost. Granted, I also signed up for flea meds (and heartworm preventative for my dog) so that upped the price a little more.
Before this it was gonna be $374 as Argos got an IV with fluids, a shot, some meds, and two temp prescriptions to go home with.
Signing up got the cost down over a little more than $100 (price was $248 or so) but went back up to $308 after flea/heartworm meds were added but hey, I really can’t argue such a thing when it’s a lot cheaper AND I don’t want to use over-the-counter flea meds after what happened with mummble. :(
(For a quick recap, I used Advantage II by Bayer and Bums still got fleas and it burned his skin where I applied it!)
Mummble is gonna get his teeth cleaned tomorrow (part of his plan) so all should be well again!
I do have one commission fic that’s getting the details coined out right now, so thank you for that!
Otherwise, in other news, I got my purple/orange Joycons in finally (after my original grays had a horrible drifting issue) so now I got to fit on my personally customized cases— and AH IT LOOKS SO GOOD!

But I just wanted to let everyone know what was up! :)

Where to Buy Flea Medication
https://www.centralparkpaws.net/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/519ikQESumL.jpg
This past weekend my husband and I were out walking the pups when we saw a kitten sitting behind a nursing home.
I walked down to see if it had tags so that I could get it back home, but there were no tags.
Long story short, the kitten was born near the nursing home and had no family.
Of course, I went back and scooped her up.
I brought her to the vet. She checked out okay, so I set out on a mission to find a home for the kitten.
Within hours, good friends of ours contacted me and said they would love to give her a home.
Buying Flea Medication Online
I was telling my friend that I had brought her into the vet where they gave me a free dose of Frontline to take care of any fleas.
I then asked if she wanted me to go back and grab more for her, but she declined, saying they always got their flea preventatives online because it is both cheaper and more convenient than running to the vet.
I had some questions about her online experiences since I traditionally picked up all of my pets’ medicine from our vet.
With three dogs and cat, any chance of saving money is always welcome!
I did some research on several online stores to see where I could get the best deals and to read what other customers were saying about their experience.
Here’s what I found.
What to Look for in Online Pharmacies
It is not that I didn’t know about vet meds being available online. I didn’t order online because I didn’t trust the stores.
Being an active member of the pet community and regularly reading a variety of pet articles, I have come upon more than a few reports pointing out the dangers of ordering online.
Of course, this was years ago when it first started becoming more popular.
Over time, things have changed in the regulations and safety of getting meds online.
After completing my research, I have found multiple reputable online pharmacies.
Here’s a list of things I was looking for regarding the purchase of medication from various websites.
I will note that not all of the following restrictions are applicable for flea preventatives (Some may focus on human, not pet, pharmacies).
Vet-VIPPS (Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites) accredited[1]
Check legitscript.com to see if they are a registered pharmacy[2]
Check to see if they are Safe Pharmacy[3] approved
Make sure they are a US-based pharmacy; different countries have different regulations on medications
Check the Better Business Bureau to see if they are in good standing
Make sure a prescription is required for prescription drugs
The reason to take caution when buying online is that online pharmacies that are not accredited have been known to provide wrong, ineffective, or out-of-date medications, all of which can put your dog at risk for medical complications.

Like I said, I have always gotten my flea medication from my vet.
They even offer an online store through Midwest Veterinary Supply, making things easy to order.
Their online ordering link directs you to three different websites:
Two are for farm animals and the third is for domestic pets.
The major downside to ordering through this site is that it’s isn’t as easy and straightforward as many of the other sites listed here.
You’ll probably have to get a prescription from your vet before you can order here, as well, which kinds of negates the convenience of ordering online.

I don’t think that there’s a person on this planet who isn’t familiar with Amazon!
Though they are known for their free shipping for Prime members and their wide variety of products, they are not associated with a licensed pharmacy.
The lack of licensing doesn’t mean that Amazon isn’t a reputable online store, but it does mean that the regulations regarding medications aren’t as strict as other options.

Though Chewy.com isn’t as well-known as Amazon, it is a great online pet store.
On a personal note, I will say that my shopping experiences with Chewy have always been pleasant.
Plus, when I’ve requested to do a return, they have been accommodating and asked I donate the product to a local shelter instead of sending it back.
Regarding Chewy and medication, I am happy to report they are associated with a licensed pharmacy.

Recommendations
The first thing I will say after completing my research is that I am absolutely blown away by the large variety of flea medications on the market.
“Wan” is Japanese for “woof,” so is this collar only effective against Japanese fleas?
I was familiar with several of the brands, but to be honest, the majority of the brands were new to me.
My first recommendation when shopping online for flea medications, whether it is over the counter or prescription, is to be sure that you find a reputable online store.
In my research, I was disturbed by the comments I found regarding those who exercised less caution, and their pups paid the price.
Overall, I think Chewy.com offers the most competitive pricing for pet medications, especially with auto-ship.
However, as you can see above, I did note three common flea medications and who had the best pricing for each.
The drawback of ordering medicine online is that there are two delays.
The first delay would be for the prescription to be verified, and the second would be for the shipping.
Neither delays would be something you would deal with when picking up flea medication from your vet.
Conclusion
Having three dogs is expensive, and I am all for saving money, but not at the expense of my dogs’ health.
However, after researching online shopping, I found that I could save over $100 a year on flea preventative and almost $900 a year on all other medications by buying their medication online!
My final thought is that it is well worth the time to shop around for flea medications.

WOW!!! Bengal Cats Size And Weight
Bayer Animal Health Advantage II Flea Prevention and Treatment for Large Cats READ THIS : https://amzn.to/3nOb6Iv
With my review i am going to address points from reviews posted. This review is only based on my personal experiences.
1. Price. Yes, this product is expensive. However, it's absolutely worth it. It works very well and I've always felt that my cats not suffering is more important than the price tag. Also, here on amazon is significantly cheaper than other places. (Saved $20 buying it here instead of 1800petmeds)
2. Balding. There are a few things that need to be known for this product. Make sure you are using the appropriate dose for your cats. Weigh them. Do not assume their weight. If they are on the borderline, use the smaller dose or dont use all of the larger one. Also dont put it all in one spot. Make a line from the back of their neck to their shoulder blades.
3. "Frontline is cheaper and does the same thing". Incorrect! Frontline is cheaper but in order for frontline to work, the fleas have to bite the animals. This product does not require them to be bitten.
4. "Fleas didnt go away." You cannot expect any flea product to completely rid your home of them. It takes a minimum of 3 months to completely get rid of them if you actively fight against the fleas. You need to vacuum your floors and furniture every day at least for awhile. You also need to keep up with your laundry and wash blankets regularly, including your bedding. And its also very important to be spraying your furniture down with flea spray. RAID or Hotshot work wonders for this! Spray your furniture and bedding down every night. I also spray in the crevices of my apartment because fleas like to hide.
5. "Fleas were going everywhere so i had to give them a flea bath." Do NOT do this. Them jumping off your pets is a GOOD thing! That means the product is working. If you bathe them before the product has time to set it, you just wasted your money. This is why you need to be keeping up with prevention in your home. Theyre jumping off your animal because the product is working. Vacuuming, washing, and spraying is what will combat the infestation.
You CANNOT get rid of fleas completely in a short period of time so dont expect a miracle. That's where people get disappointed. Let the product do its job and play catch up for the next few months. And make sure you're keeping up with the doses!!

Frontline Plus vs K9 Advantix II vs Advantage II
It seems that there is always a new flea and tick preventative popping up all the time, making it a challenge to know which is the best one to choose.
This article compares Frontline vs Advantix vs Advantage all in one place to make it more convenient for dog owners to select the one that will work best for their dog.
Though all three of these products are topical one-month treatments, they do have their differences.
This article will dive into the different features, side effects, cost, and pros and cons to aid dog parents in making an educated decision when choosing the right flea and tick treatment.
Spoiler Alert: My top pick of the three is K9 Advantix II. It protects against more parasites and repels, not just kills, fleas and ticks.
Frontline Plus
Active Ingredients: Fipronil and (S)-methoprene
Type: Topical
Duration: 1 Month
Frontline Plus was first released in 1993 and EPA-approved in 1996[1].
However, the active ingredient in Frontline, fipronil, was initially formulated back between 1985-1987 as a broad-use insecticide.
Frontline is a spot-on flea and tick treatment that eliminates fleas and ticks and kills flea eggs and larvae, preventing the continued life cycle.
Frontline is applied directly to your pup’s skin, where it is absorbed and spreads throughout your dog’s hair follicles and skin.
Fipronil is kept in your dog’s oil glands under your dog’s skin.
Frontline starts killing fleas within 4-8 hours and ticks inside of 12 hours. Additionally, Frontline is an effective treatment against biting lice.
Fleas, ticks, and lice are not required to bite your dog for Frontline Plus to work.
Instead, parasites are eliminated when they come in contact with your dog’s hair and skin.
24 hours after application Frontline is waterproof. And it is safe to start using Frontline on puppies as young as eight weeks old as well as on pregnant dogs.
Pros
Kills fleas and ticks on contact
Few side effects
Waterproof
Safe for puppies and pregnant dogs
✘
Cons
Does not repel fleas and ticks

K9 Advantix II
Active Ingredients: Imidacloprid, Permethrin, and Pyriproxyfen
Type: Topical
Duration: 1 Month
K9 Advantix II is a Bayer Animal Health flea and tick topical treatment.
Advantix II was launched at the North American Veterinary Conference in January of 2011 and became available to the public in March 2011[2].
Bayer was founded in 1867, with its pet products launching in 1919. Over the years, Bayer Animal Health products have been a leading company in keeping our pets healthy.
Advantix is a spot-on flea and tick treatment. After applying it to your dog’s skin, Advantix spreads over the skin, hair follicles, and sebaceous glands to deter and kill pests.
What sets Advantix apart from other flea and tick remedies is that it is also effective against mosquitoes, biting flies, and biting lice.
This is an added advantage to those who enjoy camping and hiking to help keep their canines free of flies and mosquitoes.
Advantix does not just kill parasites, but it also repels them, which is another added benefit to using Advantix over other common flea and tick products.
Pros
Repels and kills parasites
Repels flies, lice, and mosquitos in addition to fleas and ticks
Kills on contact; does not require bugs to bite the dog to work
Kills fleas within 12 hours
✘
Cons
More expensive than other topical treatments
May cause skin irritation

Advantage II
Active Ingredients: Imidacloprid and Pyriproxyfen
Type: Topical
Duration: 1 Month
Advantage II is a topical flea treatment manufactured by Bayer Animal Health.
Advantage II does not help kill or prevent ticks.
Imidacloprid is the primary active ingredient that works on a flea’s nervous system, paralyzing and killing the parasite.
Pyriproxyfen, the other active ingredient, is an insect growth regulator, meaning that it is responsible for killing the larvae and eggs, discontinuing a flea’s life cycle.
Advantage II kills fleas at all life stages, preventing flea infestations. Though it does not repel fleas, it does kill the fleas on contact, so they do not have to bite your dog to be effective.
Also, Advantage II is a useful option for biting lice. It will kill and prevent lice infestations.
Pros
Kills fleas and lice on contact
Interrupts the parasite’s lifecycle, effectively preventing infestation
Is safe to use on puppies as young as seven weeks old
Is waterproof after 24-hours of application
✘
Cons
Is not effective against ticks
Does not repel fleas

Which is Safest?
Winner: Frontline Plus
Frontline Plus has the least number of side effects of the three products.
Also, Frontline Plus’s side effects do not include GI upset like its competitors.
Which Works Fastest?
Winner: Frontline Plus
Frontline Plus starts going to work on fleas in just four hours.
Advantix and Advantage both take 12-hours.
Which is Cheapest?
Winner: Frontline Plus
When comparing the three products for small breed dogs, Frontline Plus is the most economical per month.
Which Lasts Longer?
Winner: Tie
All three products last thirty days.
Overall Winner
Winner: K9 Advantix II
All three products are fairly similar. They all:
Are topical
Last up to thirty days
Kill on contact
However, K9 Advantix II stands out above the rest.
I like K9 Advantix II because it repels fleas and other insects, whereas most topical treatments only kill the parasites.
Plus, Advantix is effective against other insects such as mosquitos and biting flies.
Conclusion
I know that Frontline Plus came first for most of the categories, but Advantix II came in as the overall winner.
Though Advantix costs more and has more side effects, it also protects against more parasites and repels them.
That being said, I will say it is not a product I currently use. My oldest dog, Sophie, who is 15.5 years old, uses Frontline because she has several health issues, so I opted for the safest option.
So, although my top pick is not the topical treatment I always use, it just reflects that there isn’t just one optimal solution for all dogs.

Top 50 Best Flea Treatments for Dogs
Flea treatments are a necessity for protecting our dogs from a range of diseases carried and passed on by fleas. But with so many options on the market it’s hard to know which is the best flea treatment for dogs. We’ve tested many, some have been ineffective while others while very effective may be dangerous to pets.
Moreover, studies found that fleas develop insecticide resistance and poorly designed flea treatments become ineffective quickly. The best flea treatment for dogs should have a long-lasting formulation to prevent that resistance, as well as be safe for dogs.
The first step you should take when you notice a flea infestation is to consult your veterinarian. They will likely have multiple suggestions for the best flea treatment for dogs, and they can also guide on how to prevent fleas in the future. For more tips on getting rid of fleas on a dog, watch this video guide.
It is extremely important to get rid of fleas as soon as you find them on your pet. Fleas will not go away on their own. If left untreated, a flea infestation could lead to hair loss, inflammation, a secondary skin infection or anemia in dogs. Below is the list of most popular best flea treatment for dogs that most pet owners found effective and safe.
