during the summer I was isolating and depressed bc of it and craving social interaction so bad being stuck in my room for weeks on end. but I have attended 4 Halloween parties this month and my desire to touch grass has never been so low and I want to retreat back into a hole and disintegrate. why is it so hard to find a reasonable medium

#its like jumping at the chance to socialize and accepting all invitations with no regard to my social battery bc it felt so bad having none #then getting overwhelmed and falling back into the cycle of self isolation and blocking out irl friends again. rinse and repeat #i love seeing my friends dont get me wrong but my autistic ass can only handle so much People Time per week

I called out sick from work today.. I told them my kids were sick and that I couldn't take them to my parents. The truth of it is that my husband went back to work today after being on holiday shutdown for 3 weeks, and as much as I love him in every way imaginable, I'm so excited to sit and drink my coffee in peace and watch the snow fly without being talked to or followed around the house. Also, the kids get along a million times better when there's just one of us here as opposed to when we're both home (and we've both been home a lot lately). I really do love my little life. I'm just...ready for the routine to start back up.

#my husband is a GOOD MAN. i love him and i cherish the time i get to spend with him. sometimes it's just. A Lot. as an introvert who needs #to be alone to charge those batteries sometimes. i have not been alone in WEEKS except to drive to work.
