Swimming could be therapeutic to some people. The otherworldly but welcomed sensation of flotting when you're under the surface, the satisfaction of feeling your own strenght in harmony with the water, the submarine silence embracing your hearing or the relieving sensation of your lungs inflating with air once your head surface... That was why you loved swimming so much. But of course, a certain someone had to ruin your relaxing moment.

"Having a midnight bath ?" smiled Harbor. "I can add you some waves if you want."

The teasing smile he tossed at you while sitting on the edge of the pool only irritated you further. Yet, he was not impressed by your glare, as if used to it. You swam farther from him, ignoring the voice in your head begging you to drown him. It was always that way with him.

You wanted your peace, your moment of tranquility after a long mission you had with some other agents. That was one of the reason why you waited midnight to go in the pool of the base, to be alone without anyone else with you. But of course, you weren't even granted that. Harbor always followed you and sucked your energy like a parasite. You could try to avoid him, straight up ignore him or tell him to shut it, he would always be in your way. You doubted he even noticed. For a trained agent, you found him less obervant than he made himself seem.

Holding your breath, you let yourself sink in the bottom of the pool and meditate. You tried to empty your mind of thoughts but the muffled sound of someone diving in the water distracted you. When you looked up, you saw him with that infuriating smile, waving at you. That fool still had his shirt on.

You came back to the surface and he quickly joined you.

"What do you want ?" you hissed.

"Oh ? Can't I swim too ? After all, this pool is for all the agents."

You splashed water at his face before swimming towards the pool ladder. He watched you take your towel before walking away. Once you were out of his sight, he sighed. Unbeknownst to you, he always wanted to have your attention. He had the choking sensation that if he didn't try to have it for a moment, you would forget about him. Your discreet nature already caught his notice, and he loved observing you. Maybe Gekko was right. Maybe he should try to have a common conversation with you instead of gnawing your personal space.

A/n: Thank you so much for the request it ended up being Gn hope that you don't mint. I took some creative liberty regarding the location because I really wanted it to be a confession at the beach. Hope you enjoy

The late-night breeze was cool against your skin as you sat on the beach near the Valorant headquarters. The sound of the ocean and the rustling leaves around you were soothing. But in this moment, none of that mattered.

Because sitting beside you currently, looking completely relaxed and also ridiculously handsome under the moonlight, was Harbor.

"Long day?" He asked, his voice incredibly smooth.

You let out a soft chuckle. "Something like that. Just needed some air."

Harbor smiled knowingly, turning slightly to face you. "Good call. This is the best spot for that." His eyes flickered back toward the ocean, their deep brown beautifully reflecting the moonlight.

You stole a glance at him, at the way his hair was slightly tousled by the breeze, the way that relaxed like this he seemingly looked even better than normal. It was in this quiet moment that it hit you the hardest, just how much he meant to you.

How much you loved him.

The realization had been creeping up on you for a while, but tonight, you felt that realization settle completely in heart. Maybe it was the way he always made time for you, even after long missions. Maybe it was how he instinctively placed a warm hand on your lower back when walking through crowded places. Or maybe it was just the simple fact that, no matter how chaotic life got, he was always by your side keeping you calm.

A particularly strong gust of wind blew past, and you started to shiver involuntarily. Without missing a beat, Harbor shrugged off his jacket and draped it over your shoulders. His fingers lingered for a moment before he chuckled.

"You should really bring a jacket when you come here, love."

Your heart squeezed at the nickname, and at the warmth and care that he always showed you. And before you could stop yourself, the words fell from your lips.

"I love you."

The ever present smile on his face faltered, his eyes widening slightly as he processed your words. Time seemed to stand still, the only sound the ocean’s rhythmic crashing suddenly seeming so far away.

You swallowed nervously just now fully realizing what you just said. "I—uh, I didn’t mean to just blurt it out like that, I just—"

Before you could spiral any further, Harbor let out a soft chuckle, reaching in to gently touch your cheek.

"Say it again," he murmured, his voice sounding loving.

Your breath hitched.

"I love you."

His smile grew, warm and genuine. "You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting to hear that."

And then, he leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead before resting his against yours. "I love you too. Always."
