I really like your stories btw 😘
hi! yes i am still doing those asks! i'm always open to any questions you guys wanna ask. and thank you! i'm happy you enjoy my stories :)
8. hmmm i don't know if this really counts as a sequel, but the yandere!bts headcannon fics i have (yandere profile & my obsessive fan) are kinda like a part of a whole universe. basically it's the same bts characters but put into different situations/lifestyles. so i have a couple ideas for that and i'd like to write more for it. idk, did you guys like the bulletpoint fics??
12. definitely android!aus! they've always been some of my favourite types of stories and i like to see all the different ways writers interpret it. i wanna write an android!au one day but idek where to start 😵‍💫 i'd also say text!fics, just cuz i've been reading so mush of them lately

BrattyShipping Headcanons Pt. 6
Previous Posts: Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5
New Home
- The property the two ultimately decide on is along the route to Ballonlea Stadium. The location makes it easy for challengers and spectators to notice on their way through and, though the town is smaller anyway, it also ensures an easy trek for Bede.
- Bede attempts to ensure that the location isn’t too far from Opal’s house. They try to be more subtle in their motivations, though Victor catches on fairly quickly and assures them that it’s high on the priority list.
- Remodeling the first floor into restaurant space takes around six months. Since the construction process is primarily concentrated on the restaurant space for a while, Victor is left in charge of working with the crew for that time.
- Victor starts regularly staying up with extra logistical work after the crew leaves. Eventually, Nurse Joy finds him conked out in front of the Pokemon Center at one in the morning, having fallen asleep on his way back home for the night. His partner gives him a very stern lecture about his self-neglectful tendencies and insists he sleep at Opal’s house when he’s too exhausted to reasonably make it to Postwick or set up camp somewhere.
- Several times over the course of the next week, Bede wakes to find Victor passed out either on the couch or next to them in bed, with complete certainty that he wasn’t there when they fell asleep. Opal admits she got curious herself and waited him out one night, and Bede nearly has an aneurysm when she reveals he ended up groggily arriving at quarter to two. Victor gets an even sterner lecture than last time as soon as he wakes up.
- From then on, Bede makes a habit of heading to the site as soon as they close the gym. As expected, Victor is concerned about them going out of their way to help with the extra work on top of their own job. And, as expected, their stubbornness ultimately wins out in the end.
- Victor quickly learns that attempting to stay up unreasonable amounts of time is futile, as Bede can and will physically drag him away if he tries to work past eleven p.m.
- Victor is organized in the sense that he perfectly understands his system but is the only one who can. Bede quickly learns the most efficient way to go about it is to simply ask him to find or point out what they need instead of spending half an hour trying to find it themselves.
- They make a point to take at least one day off a week during the process, usually spending it with their respective families, doing their own things around Galar, or hanging out with Gloria, Hop, and Marnie.
- Most of the work on the second floor living space is saved for the League’s off-season so Bede has more time to get involved. Not much is changed from the standard Ballonlea interior design, aside from moving the living room stuff upstairs and a couple personal touches.
- Victor insists they keep the Vengeance Board in their room, adding his own mementos of Bede to it that he’s kept over the years.
- The living space only takes half the time of the first floor to prepare, since converting the first floor into a restaurant was more complicated. Both are around twenty when the process is completed and they’re finally ready to move in.
- Bede helps with the restaurant’s employee-hiring process at their own insistence. Victor’s ends up with a case of déjà vu from how similar their methodology is to Opal’s when he challenged her gym puzzle.
- They invited their friends and families to the unofficial pre-opening the day before the restaurant is open to the public. Gloria ensures Raihan is among those who show up, knowing he’ll have the most success spreading the word through his social media.
- When everyone leaves for the night, Bede takes care of both of their Pokemon and orders a pizza for their own dinner so Victor can take a much-needed break after catering for everyone at once.
Domesticity
- Victor sets up a small TV in the restaurant set to the League channel. His attention will occasionally wander to it whenever one of Bede or Marnie’s matches plays.
- The Ballonlea Stadium and restaurant are usually closed on the same days. Victor and Bede’s relationship still isn’t public, so the common theory is that the restaurant follows the schedule since it uses the stadium to draw in customers. A couple of the employees manage to connect the dots though.
- Neither of them are full-blown morning people. The closest to being one is Bede, but only because they can will themselves out of bed faster. Victor usually has an easier time getting up once Bede is up and about.
- On the occasion Victor still can’t bring himself to get up, Bede enlists the help of his Boltund to lick his face till he’s awake.
- Victor usually makes breakfast while Bede is in charge of coffee. Strangely enough, Victor’s Inteleon has taken to drinking it too.
- Bede is the resident blanket-hog, since they need warmth to sleep. Victor manages to avoid being affected by it by being the self-proclaimed “resident Bede-hog” and clinging to them like a Komala more often than not.
- Victor’s clinging habits have earned him the role of big spoon more often than not. Bede refuses to openly acknowledge this and Victor only brings it up in private to playfully tease them.
- Gloria got them a queen-sized weighted blanket as a housewarming gift, since Victor’s old one wouldn’t accommodate them both.
- On the occasion Hop is working in the Ballonlea area, he’s invited to crash on their couch.
- When Gloria learns about this arrangement, she extends the offer to herself and just shows up one night. She claims it’s mostly to mess with Bede, but it’s also partially because she misses living with her brother.
- Due to Victor’s nature as a mediator, the two don’t have full-blown fights often, and when they do, they usually don’t last longer than two or three days. Gloria’s short-lived “invasion,” as she and Bede refer to it, was the cause of one of the longer ones, as Bede were fairly upset that Victor was just letting her barge in basically unannounced, while Victor was upset by Bede’s behavior towards his sister. When Gloria finds out, she ends up feeling guilty about it. In a rare move for her, she sincerely apologizes to the two and admits her true motivation behind showing up.
- Bede is the most ticklish of the two. If you don’t think Victor takes advantage of this at least a couple times, you’re horribly mistaken.
- Hop offers to watch the restaurant for a day or two so they can have time off for their anniversary. They spend it camping in the Slumbering Weald after a quick visit to Victor’s old home in Postwick.
- Victor starts growing plants that he finds interesting or ingredient-worthy around the house. A number of leaves and vines can be seen spilling out the second-floor windows from outside.
- Bede doesn’t collect anything, but they can regularly be seen caring for the local wild Pokemon that tend to hang out near the restaurant. They’ve managed to learn all of them in the time they’ve lived in town.
- Bede usually takes the longest to get ready, as they’re generally fussier about their appearance. Victor mostly just tidies up and throws on comfy clothes.
- After one of them has a rough day, a favorite de-stressor activity of theirs is cuddling on the couch and watching the soft colors of Ballonlea’s bioluminescent mushrooms through the window.
- Victor suggests dancing around the living room or the closed restaurant in the mushroom light a few nights. Bede doesn’t get it at first, but once they try it they end up enjoying it a lot (they still call Victor a mushy sap, of course, but Victor knows they mean it in a good way).
- Victor has an entire album on his Rotom Phone dedicated to pictures he’s taken of or with Bede. A number are candid shots of them in instances where Victor decided they looked particularly adorable (like the time he found them caring for an injured Phantump) or hot (like the time the wind from a Dynamax attack hit them just right and made their now longer hair look so freaking majestic). Others are more... “private” ones Bede has sent him themselves.
- Bede has grown accustomed to Victor’s holiday enthusiasm by now. And now that they live together, they have essentially no escape from joining his festive spirit. They end up coming to the Stadium wearing a mistletoe earring a couple times in December, though the Gym Trainers know better than to pry.
Coping
(WARNING: This part delves a tad further into Bede’s abandonment issues and general grieving process. If you aren’t a huge fan of this stuff or it hits a bit too close to home, I’d advise moving past. If you ARE a fan of this stuff, good for you. Hope you enjoy.)
- When Opal eventually passes away, Bede is completely devastated. They end up not leaving the house for a solid week, only trusting Victor to see them in such a vulnerable state.
- Bede’s abandonment issues begin to act up during their grieving process. They become unexpectedly clingy for a while, terrified of losing Victor too since he’s the only person other than Opal they allowed themselves to get as attached to.
- Their friends and the other gym leaders each offer their condolences and to help out however they can. It’s mostly up to Victor to accept their help since Bede tries to insist they’re fine without it.
- When Victor can’t be around to help, Bede’s primary means of comfort is Hatterene, since they have the strongest bond with her, she can keep an eye on their emotional state, and her body is made of hair, giving them something soft to hug when they need to.
- It’s primarily through the help of Victor and their Pokemon that Bede starts healing from her loss. Victor even steps up to keep the media off their back until they’re finally ready for comment.
- The two end up taking in Opal’s Pokemon in addition to their own. Bede also dedicates one of the front-row seats at the Stadium to her.
- It’s thanks to the event that Victor finally convinces Bede to see a therapist instead of relying on one or two people for their entire support system. After the first few sessions, Bede reluctantly agrees that it’s helping them more than they expected.

What are your favourite things to see in h2o fan fic ? :)
ooh! this is a great question. here go some bulletpoints for the sake of clarity:
i have my personal preferences re: ships (zikki and clewis are my fav of the canon ships). anything that explores sapphic rare pairs like basically anything written by the homie @juicenet are also great
this is petty but i am ALWAYS here for fic that disregards s3/ma.ko merm.aids canon. some of my fav fics incorporate one or both but i liiiiive for author's notes which are like 'apparently there was something called a water tentacle? rikki helped to *checks notes* slay a dragon? anyway leave a review' lmao
i am a stickler for detail and love when fics incorporate or at least try to be consistent with small details from the show, like rikki being into 80s music or cleo being lactose intolerant. i also like fics that elaborate on what we don't know, like lewis's family or the unceremonious disappearances of certain characters after s1 rip ms chatham byron miriam tiffany harrison bennett and many more in peace
it's rare to see a fic that employs as much girl hate as the jscu (jonathan shiff cinematic universe). that said there is a special place in my heart for fic that is, say, sympathetic to charlotte like this one, or features an interaction between bella and emma that isn't entirely predicated on rivalry and jealousy like this one
anything that expands upon the lore is awesome, especially that which tries to explain the scientific side of things. i'm a humanities queen so things like this fic which posits an intriguing theory about cleo's powers are always great
there is always room for more 1950s mermaids fic in the world. that's all i'll say
that said, i'm open to trying pretty much anything so feel free to hit me up with fic even if you just want me to signal boost it 🥰

Fic Writer Interview
Thanks for tagging me @oxygenforthewicked! <3 Beneath The Veilfire is bloody fantastic and you should all go and read it, especially solavellan fans!
Name: hawkeish (here and on ao3)
Fandoms: Dragon Age
Where you post: here and on ao3
Most Popular One-shot: Fool’s Errand, the first Blackwall/Lavellan thing I wrote - which is wild, because it’s a pretty rare pair and I wasn’t expecting anyone to read it, let alone like it!
Most Popular Multichap: this is how the light gets in (although it’s only 2 chapters - does that count?). basically, Hawke and Anders sleep together, and Hawke’s terrible at feelings, and they’re both sweet idiots.
Favorite story you’ve written so far: I have a few favourites! I love La vie en rose - it was a dream to write, I’m weak for a modern au, and as an ex-barista it was pretty cathartic. I also love my Carver/Merrill fics, particularly and she said honey, take me dancing. basically, I’m a hopeless romantic.
Fic you were nervous to post: do all of them count? probably Go On Home, though - it was the first time I’d written Carver’s voice, and I was so worried about infantilising Merrill instead of writing her as she actually is, someone capable, clever, actively kind, and complex. but I think it went OK?
How do you choose your titles: I’m a sucker for song lyrics as titles. I think every single one has been a lyric so far, apart from the OTPtober stuff I wrote? I’m very basic, I know.
Do you outline: NOPE. I bulletpoint where I want to go when I reach a sticky point in a fic, though - either in my notes app or right in the middle of a paragraph or sentence a lot of the time. my zero-drafts are horrific to look at. they are crimes against god.
Complete: eleven! all of them are one-shots (pretty much) though, because I’m terrible at plot. my multi-chap fic about teenage Hawke & Anders getting up to shenanigans will be finished (and probably revised) next year, though, hopefully!
In progress: a frankly ridiculous amount, but the main ones are a follow-up to La vie en rose, a miserable post-da2 fic about a handers relationship breakdown, and a couple of prompts for the DA Drunk Writing Circle, ‘cause they were too tempting and I can’t wait till Fridays!
Prompts?: I LOVE PROMPTS SO MUCH. my imagination constantly gets stuck in a rut, so prompts are my go-to. plus I love writing stuff for people, so I’m always open to prompts - send me fun ideas and I might write them as part of DA DWC...
Upcoming work you’re most excited about: it’s very much an idea atm, but the very lovely and EXTREMELY talented @veorlian suggested a collab and the words ‘Carver/Merrill’, ‘commander’ and ‘arcane advisor’ were raised. make of that what you will x
Worlds I would love to write for in the future: ooh, I don’t know? Maybe AC Valhalla, mainly to process my MANY FEELINGS ABOUT WHAT THEY DID TO MY SWEET SON BOY CEOLBERT WHOM I LOVE (Ubisoft honestly it’s been nearly two weeks since I finished Shropshire and I’m not over it)
tagging @pinkfadespirit, @fandomn00blr, @kirkwallgremlin, @mrs-theirin, @hollyand-writes, and @noswordstyle - although any other writers, sorry if I’ve missed you and please feel free to do this too!

Hi! Just wanted to say your fanfics always bring me a lot of joy, & you're very talented. Do you have any advice for people who may want to start writing R+ fan fiction? Or, any advice on how to portray the boys?
Thank you very much, preciate it ♡
I wrote a response to a similar question about a year ago regarding the advice aspect, which you can find here.
As for how to portray them.....I did write down a couple points in that other post, but basically watching/reading a bunch of interviews and videos is a way to form an impression on them and how to capture their way of speech and body language. Jot down bulletpoints on their key characteristics. I will say, Paul is not a 12 year old child so no need to infantilize him. He’s got so many layers to him... He’s not perpetually a happy person. I’d say some of that persona that we see is something he learned to show being in Rammstein. He said himself that he used to put on a happy-go-lucky persona for Feeling B, so who’s to say he isn’t doing it now, to some degree, because it’s what he’s learned to do? Because in interviews, or these videos taken with other friends outside of Rammstein, he’s very collected and moderate. I guess it’s really just circumstantial and based on his moods, but please don’t reduce him to just his enthusiastic/happy personality. He can be sad, he can be angry, he can be cold just like anyone else. And he’s a Sagittarius. Like, come on. Literally my biggest pet peeve of this entire fandom is people using Paul as their comedy relief or labeling him as this cute soft boi. this just turned into a rant WHOOPS. but seriously, if you manage to write all these different sides to him in a way that rounds him out nicely as a person in your fics, you get a gold fuckin star from me.
Richard isn’t a heartless diva, Till isn’t a depressed sadboi (he also has a great sense of humor and likes to mess around...I like that about him.), Flake isn’t just a huffy asshole nor is he the band’s mother, Schneider is....... Well, it really depends on the era. I’d say Schneider, Richard, and Paul change the most throughout the years. Richard used to be much more open and friendly and humble back when they first started. Schneider used to be cold, and distant, and somewhat unfriendly. Now he’s a man who loves and cherishes his bandmates, as well as his family. Ollie used to be more dorky back in the day, now he’s a bit more cool and collected, yet he still has a sense of humor. Flake may seem cold or reserved, but he’s actually quite open with his opinion/feelings and is a softie. Flake is the one I struggle the most with writing, by far.
I’m not the type to write up a huge masterpost listing video links and bulletpoints regarding their personalities, I’m too lazy for that. I think it’s really up to you to decide how to write them, as long as you don’t recreate them as people (unless it’s an AU). And, fyi, all of this is just my opinion. It isn’t fact. I don’t know these men personally and I just write them for fun.
Thanks again anon. ♡ Good luck with writing.

#5 for the WIP writing meme please
5. Where did you draw inspiration from?
Thank you for this ask! As an aside: It still kind of knocks me backward that @themoonmothwrites is talking to me on the internet given how many people I have shared your stories with, how many times I have returned to them (over and over) the impact they left on me (a sexy impact at that) - like - you aren’t supposed to be a person I interact with! You’re a legend (I personally feel legendary now based on proximity.)
What were we talking about?
Ah, yes. Inspiration. Soooo I’m going to go full Original Fic (I have too many WIPs, don’t ever trust me.) The fic that is burning a hole on my desktop is a novel Kitten - a Southern Gothic queer love story/horror novel that takes place in the late 80s (during the “Satanic Panic”) and involves two teenagers in foster care. You know.
Classic.
Inspiration is always extensive and tangled and the content is kinda dark so I’ll just bulletpoint it.
Working with children in the foster care system
David Melnick, a brilliant clinical social worker who gave me this quote: “Traumatized children see ghosts.”
The writing of Michelle Tea (ouch, Rose of No Man’s Land, highly recommended)
The song Oasis by Amanda Palmer (one of my favourite songs ever, but CW warning for basically everything if you’re going to click on that link. It’s a story of teenage resilience told in an extremely campy, offensive way; you can be having the worst time of your life, but fuck it, you just got a signed photo from Oasis.)
A bunch of Korean horror films including A Tale of Two Sisters and Memento Mori (that links to a fan video but I’m here for it) - I find the genre deals with girlhood and love and survival in really interesting and dark ways, and that’s what I wanted in this story.
Angela Carter’s The Bloody Chamber and Other Stories because all horror stories are fairytales, as far as I’m concerned, and this one is no different.
Those are the top influences that come to mind. Hope I haven’t scared everyone away! I think that the horror genre has the potential to be really transgressive and can be a powerful tool to explore gender roles and all those insidious things in society that we take for granted until they rot and fall away beneath us. I also like the trope of the “call coming from inside the house” and in the case of Kitten, the real horror is a social service system of indifference.
Thanks again for the ask! Sorry things got entirely out of hand.

HERE WE GO, THE LONG WAY AROUND: DW Xmas special 2017 les go
we saw the Hartnell-->Bradley effect as a teaser p early on, but, janky as it is, it really does work. and it's a giant This Ish Gonna Get Meta signpost, which i enjoy
River's Booze Cube in the TARDIS coming back i'm
right that's a straight line from "Deep Breath" to here. 'you're gonna want a drink, dude'
One, here, aside from what we're gonna go over in a later bulletpoint, feels like - more EU inspired, than anything? they feel like Shitty Nervous Baby Asshole Theta, faced with finally having to commit to stepping out into the world. i've never been super into One Doctor Era in terms of like. being really into it, and i do have a variety of EU-based Shitty Nervous Baby Asshole Theta headcanons, so i like this. ymmv
fuck do i love two or more Drs in a room being jerks to/ begrudgingly admiring each other. this shitbird
the guitar being the only dusted thing. gross college-student 'sniffing to see if the hoodie passes the smell test' 12 headcanon confirmed
THE FLOOF MULLET
sorrynotsorry PCap continutes to be weirdly hot throughout this episode
'shitty baby Thete made the first sonic at the academy' headcanon UNCONFIRMED. unless One's jus playing it cool, like, that dumb thing? hah hah never heard of it
god i do not understand this plot at all but it's Moff in full fuck-off mode so. les go
i love League of Gentlemen but have never really enjoyed, like actively liked, Mark Gatiss' contributions to DW. but i like him here a lot. it's a heartfelt, understated performance and kinda anchors the melodrama of the Dr(s). if he coulda poured that out previous a lot of episodes of New Who would be better
"what do you mean, world war one" fuck what a line
right i get why people might be pissed off at One Dr being obviously a dated piece of shit here, but questions of canon aside: DW has been total fuckin shit, like a lot, it's fucked up bad and frequently (and recently) and i'm entirely ok treating this as a meta critique
fuck this building is the same one from Missy's "imagine the Dr" speech. what does she know
i know Moff loves his doubles/copies/etc but did he need put that on Bill cmon that is hinky af
tho seriously i love these two nerds and i need more 12 & Bill in my life
"long story short: i totally pulled" i'm
wouldnt all these Bill n 12 scenes been better if Moff hadn't needed to do the whole pLoT tWiSt ThEy'Re A cOpY thing. i do love Moff. but. why. why this, here now
Gold went fairly old-school Spooky Synths before returning to his Classic Themes later and like. i'm more of a fan of his work now, than i have been before, but i'm okay with him being replaced with someone more inclined to do something other than what we've been hearing since Eccleston.
the fuckin sunglasses. this dweeb
like i do honestly love moff's sort of, short form spec fic, bizarro, 'hold your hat it's about to get wild' style. outside of mainstream SF i do prefer stories that don't explain, that don't world build, that just throw some bullshit at you and expect you to understand the emotional resonance. and i do love this story as a character piece, as a sort of...ambient? intentionally-confusing thing. but i also think it bit off more than it could chew, and it fucked w/ tropes in a way that kind of highlighted why you can't just apply any trope to any character, specifically any minority character, and have it come off how you want
like this episode reminded me what i'll miss abt Moff and what i...won't
Pearl tho fuck i have missed her. and Bill. Big Finish, please, please do me a solid. Bill Potts, tell me what to do
"will you put that buzzing toy away" THIS doof
'the Doctor of War'/'to be fair, they've cut out all the jokes'. i'm. One's face, and how it gets subverted later on
the whole window-size thing
NEW VORTEX SO FRESH N SO CLEAN
fuck tho 12's increasing levels of anger and shame at what they'd been before leads up SO well into the eventual Whittaker
facehuggers what
seriously what the fuck is this plot like i get the plot isn't the point but i do not understand what's happening with Testimony thing like
im drunk so uhhh
~fear makes Drs of us all~
this story would have worked so much better minus the Twist abt the shapeshifting whatevers. Bill's already a space goo, why. why add more things, when the dynamic between 12 n Bill is already so complex
the dr's weaponized self-destruction has always been such a Thing but how offhand 12 is about it, like. fuck dudes. #relatable
RUSTY. all the birds come home to roost
i'll probably come back to this later but DANG the camera and editing and coloring in this are N I C E
"Dunno why Good wins over Evil so i did a Le Both Sides survey" One u r fuckin lyyyyyiiiiiiing don't let Space Reddit lead you astray
oh god this is "Hell Bent" this is Clara on Trap Street this is
"The real world is not a fairy tale" was THE moment i knew Clara was gonna make an appearance
"I don't really know what to do when this isn't an evil plan" both lmao and. i love what this episode is trying to be. not an evil plan, just. circumstance. life. shit happens.
my kink is Dr Who taking responsibility for their shitty short sighted actions
FUCK HE WAS A LETHBRIDGE-STEWART YOUSE WERE RIGHT
please feel free to shake up your headcanons accordingly
the christmas armistice, ok, i teared up. iirc PCap did a spoken word performance of a letter about that, i wonder if there's any direct connection there
"the rug was crap anyway" THIS IDIOT BOY
and dang will i eternally love PCap's physical, specific performance of this role. the absolute exhaustion mixed with fuck-it whimsy and a weird, uncomfortable intimacy, it fffffucks me up
12 pulling their collar up like. this small vulnerable dying boy. my whole heart
Bill repaying the Dr for the photos of her mother - and how, 'zactly, did she come across enough of a Clara to do this like i'm not saying Bill/Clara is canon but
OKAY THEY'VE GOT THEIR MEMORY BACK OF CLARA DELIVERED VIA A KISS OK OK OK
OK THIS IS OK IM OK EVERYTHING IS FINE
Twelvedole is also canon. Whom - the fuck - glass nipples?
please let this boy take a nap
oh it's. the TARDIS is 13's ~First face~. they're not doing this alone, they're doing it with their one true love. 'time to leave the battlefield' yeah
this silly old universe. basic stuff first:
ok yeah that "Heaven Sent" theme is good
mmmmlove the decision to have a lot of the regeneration be JWhit, interspersed with PCap's trademark eyebrows. it pings...something, in my brain, that struggles with gender
the ring no
tiny wee JWhit in 12's outfit so...joyous and fucked up, like they always are. looooove it
they're not gone, they're just someone else now. the cycle begins anew. aw, brilliant
this is such a small, sweet, sad story, which imo is why the basic Moff Bizarro doesn't fit. plot aside, i quite like this one. the fear of death faced and overcome; yourself and your ethos being more important than the shape you take; the importance of kindness, and the possibility - if you try very hard - of a fairy tale. good shit.
laugh hard, run fast, be kind. Doctor, i let you go

REQUESTED: “friend A” // your lie in april!AU // lee daehwi
Tumblr media
genre: ANGST
ficstyle: bulletpoints // LONG
requested: an anime fic with daehwi (by many anons) & daehwi fic with “your lie in april” by playfuldisaster
summary: SPOILER FOR IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN THE ANIME OR READ THE MANGA // I know that Daehwi’s mom is an angel but for the fic we are gonna change a couple of things and it’s going to be a high school-themed scenario instead of a middle school on
notes: even if you already seen the anime... I hope you will feel the urge to grab some tissues from this piece // includes theories of what happened in the anime
Daehwi was a piano-playing prodigy
he started when he was little, he grew an interest in playing the piano
his mother registered him for his first competition at the age of 5 and he won!
imagine little 5 year old Daehwi with his little penguin tailed tuxedo
Daehwi’s mother fell into a greed after seeing her son on the front cover of a music magazine
his mother used to be a well-known pianist but she retired to be a piano teacher after giving birth to Daehwi
she gave up being a piano teacher to personally coach her son to play every single musical sheet note by note
perfect to the T
when he didn’t play correctly, his mother would abuse him; physically and mentally
if he wasn’t at school, he was at home, practicing
his friends, Jihoon and Somi, were concerned on why his mother wouldn’t let him play outside
you could say his childhood was stripped away from him as it was filled with note after note played on the monochrome keys
he never defied his mother and all of these feelings were bottled up inside of him
he won many district competitions but only because he played them note by note and on tempo, like his mother taught him
he was known as a “the human metronome” who was controlled by his mother
Daehwi was in 5th grade when his mother fell ill and was bedridden on the hospital bed
she request to be in a room with a piano so that she could still coach Daehwi
there came an incident
on the day of Under 12 Nationals, Daehwi rushed to the hospital where his mother was collecting her last breaths
she turned to him and said,”you just have to play like I taught you”
how could a mother worry about something like that before her death
with rage he threw his musical sheets at his mother
all his bottled up words and feelings were all caught in his throat and he ended up not saying anything and ran out the doors
at the competition, he lost his ability to hear his own music
the keys he played sounded like someone that was submerged in water frantically pleading for help
from the back of the audience seats’, he saw the shadow of his mother haunting him
it was the first competition where he lost
& it was his last competition
he got PTSD from playing the piano
the sound of submerged notes and the lurking shadow of his deceased mother was what he was reminded of every time he played
he made himself a promise to never get involved with music again
until he met you
it was the first day of high school and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom
Daehwi was trying to catch up to Jihoon and Somi, his neighbors and best friends
when he heard a sweet little melody as he slowly passing by the park
he saw you playing a melodica, there was a little crowd of elementary school kids sitting around you
“AH! THAT GUY IS STARING AT YOU NOONA!!”
you looked over to see a lankly guy who was clearly flustered and trying to find somewhere to hide
“go on now kids, you gotta get to school now”
you shoo’ed them away and walked towards the guy
“hello, my name is y/n. from the looks of your uniform, we go to the same school. let’s walk together!”
Daehwi usually doesn’t talk to anyone other than Jihoon and Somi so he didn’t know what to do when he was approached by such a beautiful girl like yourself
“YA DAEHWI WHO’S THIS?”
you turn to see a pretty good-looking guy and a pretty girl walk up to him
little does anyone know, you know of Daehwi
you were such a big fan of his when you were little
you went to his first competition and it made you interested in music
after that competition you yelled in excitement to your parents
“I WANT TO PLAY THE VIOLIN!”
they were confused because you all just went to a piano competition
“why not the piano?” your mom asked
“because if I play the violin, I’ll be able to accompany Daehwi on the piano!”
you made it your life goal
you were never professionally taught but your parents told you were naturally talented
you played the violin as if you were painting a vivid mural filled with emotions
though you were diagnosed with Friedreich's Ataxia, which causes muscle weakness through the arms and legs and loss of coordination, it also causes heart disorders
your parents wanted to home-school you, knowing that you only had at least 2 decades to live
you wanted to spend your high school years in a public school
it hurt your parents to see you so open-minded about life
“I’m Park Jihoon! This is Somi”
you came back to the current situation with Daehwi and his friends
“Hi! I’m y/n!”
he seems like a fun guy so you continued to talk to him as you both walked to school
“heeyyy Earth to Daehwi.. do you know her?” Somi waved her hand in front of Daehwi as he saw you laughing at what Jihoon said
“she seems really musically talented...” he muttered, still staring at your backside until you catch him and wave at him
poor boy is flustered and Somi is a little jealous
days past
you were surprised by how close you got to the three of them
“hey Daehwi.. I think I like Jihoon..”
within a week, you were dating Jihoon
at first you thought, by spending more time with Jihoon, you would find out a lot more about Daehwi
one thing led to another and here you are with Jihoon
from the get-go, you saw that Somi liked Daehwi.. you couldn’t neglect her feelings, and she probably liked him for a long time
so you pursued with Jihoon
you heard Daehwi talking to Somi, “I guess to her.. I’m just Friend A. I don’t mind it though... if she talks to me about Jihoon and stuff.. she comes to me with stuff like that...”
you wanted to have more of a connection with Daehwi
there was a district competition for young violinist coming up
you thought maybe you could bring Daehwi back into the music world
Daehwi agreed at first.. thinking that after years it would be okay to play again
he struggled, he slam the keys, he was a mess
but you weren’t going to give up, you were there by his side
a few days before the competition, you fell into fatigue and you lost feeling in your arms and legs, you bumped your head onto the wall causing you to lose consciousness
you were greeted by Daehwi crying on your hospital bed
Jihoon and Somi were going to enter the room but saw you and Daehwi
Somi pulled Jihoon away
“let’s come back again later”
“OWOWOWOW WAIT I HAVE THE RIGHT TO SEE MY GIRLFRIEND” Jihoon had no luck getting away from Somi pulling him by the ear
you ruffled Daehwi’s hair
“I’ll be good to go for the competition don’t worry! they just need a few more testing before I can get released” you smiled at him
tbh Daehwi has never seen you sad or talk about feeling sad or hurt
he stood up and yelled
“IT’S ALL MY FAULT. YOU PAID SO MUCH ATTENTION TO ME AND MY FEELINGS ABOUT PLAYING THE PIANO THAT I NEGLECTED ABOUT YOUR CONDITION AND AND..and...” he sat back down and stared at the ground
“ I wasn’t a good enough Friend A”
you held his hand, you wanted to cry but you didn’t want to seem sorry for him, that’s the last thing he would want
“you’re the best Friend A, I could ever ask for”
BAM
“Y/N! I AM HERE”
Jihoon rushes to you side and is continuously asking if you are okay
you see Daehwi walking out the door and Somi chasing after him from the corner of your eye
days later
you show up to the competition
as you walked through the corridors, you heard people talking about the human metronome” making a comeback
you walk into the make-up room and see Daehwi with his eyes tightly closed
Daehwi felt someone put their hand over his
he opens his eyes to see you clad in a beautiful white dress, your hair is flowing over your shoulders with your bangs pushed back
“you got this, remember music isn’t just suppose to be played note by note, music is suppose to be healing to the heart, soul and ears”
it was your guys’ turn
everyone was in awe, you never liked to play by the note, you played freely and it was beautiful
it masked over Daehwi’s muffled notes
he was panicking, why can’t he hear the notes
you wanted to make eye contact with him
Daehwi Daehwi DAEHWI
as if it was telepathy, Daehwi looked up from the keys and saw you nod at him
with that.. the water that drowned his keys were drained and the shadow of his mother was only a reflection of himself
once he let that go, the room was filled with such a beautiful harmony
it was crazy, it was bizarre, it was different and it was colorful
I never knew that music could be so vivid, Daehwi thought as he sweated through the last string of notes
you and Daehwi played with such strength that when you both finished, you both were out of breathe
after a moment of silence, you guys saw people give a standing ovation and cheering (even the judges)
you grabbed Daehwi’s hand and bowed
he was so flustered, he only bowed because he didn’t want you to see his blushing face
Jihoon gave you flowers backstage and Somi hugged you tightly
“my girlfriend did so well~”
Daehwi turned from the scene
so before you left you turn to run to Daehwi
you basically jumped into his arms
“WE DID IT! I AM SO PROUD OF YOU”
Daehwi met your parents that night, as you went to go collect your things, they chatted with him
“Daehwi... you know.. you’re the best thing that ever happened to y/n,”
he didn’t know what to say and just bowed as they walked out to warm up the car
Jihoon walked you out after the competition
that was when you lost consciousness again and was rushed to the hospital
Daehwi was mad that you lied about being okay; he didn’t want to see your face
he wanted to recollect his thoughts
it came to the point where Jihoon even told him to visit you
“you’re her boyfriend... it’s not my job to visit her” Daehwi began to walk away
Jihoon grabbed his shoulder and slammed him into the wall
“but it is your job as her friend!!”
Daehwi scoffed
“hah.. a friend, huh?” he shrugged off
after a few days of not talking to Jihoon or even Somi, Daehwi saw Jihoon after his cleaning duties after school
“hey Daehwi...”
Daehwi wanted to walk past him
“look you don’t have to talk to me.. but at least... take this letter. it’s from y/n”
Jihoon shoved the letter into Daehwi’s pocket and walks away
Daehwi opens the letter
“if you’ve received this letter, it’s because my surgery wasn’t successful..”
Daehwi felt tears welt up, making his vision blurry
this can’t be true
“I first saw you when I was 5, at your very first steps into your piano career. I gave up wanted to play the piano so that I might get the chance to be accompanied with you on stage. I’ve only told one lie in my whole life, that I liked Park Jihoon. I just wanted to get to know you more.. and I hurt Jihoon in the process. I already hurt so many people in the process, so please treat Somi with lots of care. She cares for you a lot and so does Jihoon. Daehwi.. you are the greatest thing that happened in my life and I was able to have my dreams come true. I hope you don’t forget me. I hope you don’t forget your mother. I hope you don’t forget how amazing it feels to produce a beautiful piece on the piano. Lee Daehwi, I think I loved you. I think I love you. I think I still love you, from wherever I am that is.”
after you wrote that letter, you laid on the operation table
you could still hear the harmony you and Daehwi displayed at the competiton
and you closed your eyes, but they never opened
this wasn’t fair, Daehwi thought
he was selfish
he was childish
at least what he could’ve done was to visit you when Somi and Jihoon went
he wanted to play the piano with you again
he wanted to see you again
he wanted to tell you how he really felt
and now he won’t ever get the chance to tell you
you made his monochrome life colorful
you changed him
but he couldn’t disappoint anyone else anymore
he wiped his tears and looked into the sky
you taught him how to move on, life is too short to dwell in the past
THE END

BrattyShipping Headcanons Pt. 3
Previous Posts: Part 1 | Part 2
The Heirs’ Game
- Victor ended up heading to Ballonlea on his own to help Bede and Opal, since he knew that Gloria heading there to meet them was almost definitely a bad idea. He’d primarily been sticking with Sonia to help track Swordward and Shielbert, but decided it was best for him to head over while Gloria, Hop, and Piers traveled to the other stadiums.
- Upon learning Bede had defeated the three rampaging Dynamax Pokemon by themselves, Victor congratulated them for their impressive victory, expressing genuine pride towards them.
- Bede challenging him to a battle was primarily influenced by this, as they felt a boost of determination from his subtle acknowledgement that only added to the confidence high of defeating the Dynamax Pokemon.
- Victor quickly recognized the significance of their respect for his capabilities as a trainer both before and during the match (i.e. the mid-battle dialogue), understanding the genuine compliment that Bede would never have given without meaning it.
- Hatterene wipes out half of Victor’s team on her own before her defeat, primarily due to her need to blow off some steam towards the source of her trainer’s irritatingly lopsided emotions. She decides it was completely worth the venting.
- Upon accepting Victor’s strength and exchanging rare League cards with him, Bede made sure to quickly and safely tuck it away as they went to clean the aftermath in the stadium. Victor did the same on his way back to Wedgehurst, storing their card in a pocket separate from the one he’d been collecting the other League cards in.
- Bede tacks the rare card to their vengeance board upon returning from the gym. They still don’t have any of Gloria’s cards and Rose’s letter has been tacked beside his card, indicating it as fulfilled. They continue to turn to it as a daily source of motivation in the morning.
More Pining (Don’t worry. We’re nearing to the end of this part)
- It takes at least another full year for their relationship to actually start. I mean, come on. This dynamic can only form via slow-burn.
- They continue to keep in touch during that time, primarily through texting and Victor’s occasional visits to their gym. During the League season, he makes a point to find time to watch at least one of Bede and Marnie’s gym matches per week for the sake of being a supportive friend.
- About a month into their training sessions, Victor starts bringing an extra lunch for Bede to ensure they aren’t neglecting themselves and to get a fresh opinion on his cooking. They initially scoff at how unfair it is that Victor is so unreasonably skilled at two fields of expertise, but always grants honest, thorough feedback on each of the meals he provides. It doesn’t take long before their lunch break becomes a highly anticipated element of their training sessions.
- Marnie sees Bede every so often due to gym leader business and, while neither has directly told her about their feelings for the other (particularly since Bede mostly considers her a work acquaintance at best), she manages to figure it out for herself fairly quickly. Victor’s growing reciprocation is also made evident by his increased attention whenever she brings them up in conversation.
- Victor’s interest in Bede is only self-confirmed as a full-blown crush half a year later while he’s watching them care for their Pokemon after one of their sparring sessions. He’s completely endeared by their rarely-shown soft side as they thoughtfully work with each member of their team to ensure each member is achieving their full potential when the “oh s**t” moment hits.
- Bede starts to realize the nature of their feelings toward Victor (with some subtle prodding from Opal and Hatterene) around the same time. They immediately attempt to deny it, only for Hatterene to indicate that she’s having none of that. Knowing fully well how seriously their partner takes the subject of emotions, Bede begrudgingly attempts to sort through their feelings in their typical logical fashion. And at this point, Hatterene is just overjoyed they’re headed in the right direction.
- It takes the two a while to really act on their feelings, due to Victor’s anxiety acting up and having him worry he’s overthinking Bede’s behavior and that admitting he likes them would ruin the rare friendship they’ve allowed him. You know, the standard stuff.
- Meanwhile, Bede most DEFINITELY has some pretty deeply ingrained trust and abandonment issues from both their parents and Rose ultimately casting them aside. It’s bad enough they’ve somehow managed to grow attached to Opal, but now they’ve got some random desire to grow equally attached to this stupid, overly soft, admirable idiot? As Hatterene has basically forced them to admit, yes. Yes they do.
- This goes on for the next few months. It’s hell for both of them, though the onlooking three grow increasingly invested. Meanwhile, Gloria and Hop still are completely unaware since neither of them even consider the possibility of Victor being interested in Bede and mostly just focus on their own endeavors.
Getting Together
- The two ultimately begin their relationship when they’re around fifteen. I have vague memories of someone stating that Hop and thee protagonists are eleven or twelve when the game starts, but I couldn’t find anything about their actual age when I checked, so for the sake of this series of ideas, I’m guesstimating them at around thirteen when the game starts. The main story takes place over the course of ten months (the average length of the soccer/football season, whichever you wanna call it), placing them at around fourteen during the Championship and fifteen after the following year of awkward pining.
- Victor ultimately is the one to admit his feelings first and sets up a picnic behind the Ballonlea stadium (what can he say? They were already there and he really likes the town’s aesthetic).
- Bede is somewhat confused, but doesn’t think much of it since they’re even denser about other people’s feelings than their own. They notice Victor arranged the contents of the food into the shape of an Applin and informs him that while the image is well-done, it likely would take too long to reasonably offer as a menu item.
- It’s at that moment when Hatterene bonks them over the head at how utterly they missed the point of the gesture, insisting they further analyse the implied meaning. Bede gets confused, but has a vague understanding of what Hatterene is trying to tell them, asking Victor if they were missing anything. Victor isn’t able to choke out much more than an old superstition about the Applins. It takes Bede a quick internet search on their phone to connect the dots. They manage to admit their reciprocation for Victor’s feelings as well.
- Bede is more surprised than Victor about the other’s feelings, as Victor had at least suspected Bede’s interest for a few months at that point. Bede, on the other hand, is still kinda garbage at figuring out other people outside battle and basic personalities.
- After some discussion, the two officially begin dating. And Hatterene’s unintentional torment finally came to an end.
And now, on to the truly adorable stuff!

BrattyShipping Headcanons Pt. 2
Previous Installments: Part 1
Apprenticeship
- What, you thought I was just gonna gloss over the brunt of Bede’s character arc? Why would anyone wanna do that? It’s an awesome arc and it deserves to be shown.
- Whenever Opal’s tutelage got particularly frustrating, Bede’s primary method of motivating themselves into not murdering her was spite. While spite toward Chairman Rose became more prevalent as they grew to accept the reality of how he treated them (I mean, come on. He couldn’t even remember their name even after years of supporting them), they initially channeled their spite toward Victor and Gloria. In Gloria’s case, it was almost definitely actual spite, though in Victor’s case it was more generalized rivalry and determination to prove themselves to him (of course, they just interpreted this to be a different kind of spite).
- You know that trope that’s used in about 70% of fan-fics following Bakugou where the cocky asshole character is starting to pine for someone but interprets it as anger or something? That’s pretty much exactly what Bede goes through because they’re smart as hell but too emotionally dense to figure out they genuinely respect and are grateful to Victor.
- Since Hattrem/Hatterene is an empath, she is MORE than aware of her trainer’s actual feelings. She mostly just gives them the same disapproving look whenever they blatantly misinterpret their growing feelings for Victor. Were it not for her attachment to Bede, she probably would have strangled them at some point.
- Opal starts to pick up on at least their respect for him when he keeps going on about “finally showing him my true potential.” Being, well, Opal, she starts getting crafty and uses this knowledge to help motivate her protege.
- “You’re never going to get that boy’s attention with that sour attitude.” “My attitude is perfect! I can get his attention by stomping him into the dirt before he can process what’s happening!” “Perhaps, but where’s the fun in that? Only by channeling the essence of pinkness can you truly feel satisfaction in your victory.” “Hmm... True...” [Both looking smug for different reasons]
- Victor gave them his League Card when he received theirs (mostly out of courtesy), which they tack to a corkboard alongside Rose’s card in their new living space in Opal’s guestroom. They dub it their “vengeance board” and write motivational vows of spite on sticky notes that they tack around the pictures. Needless to say, this is one of Hatterene’s main sources of irritation at her trainer’s sheer emotional density.
- Meanwhile, Victor starts becoming increasingly unsettled by Rose in the wake of learning what he did to Bede. He begins to note occasional suspicious bits of his behavior and can’t shake the feeling that he’s not as nice as his usual demeanor displays. Oleana’s interference only serves to further his suspicion.
- Bede watches the League qualifiers with Opal, still fairly upset about not being able to compete themselves. Victor and Gloria defeat Marnie, Hop, and the other challengers to earn their roles in opposing brackets of the semi-finals. Upon watching the twins’ success, Opal and Hatterene note Bede’s notably differing reaction between, “figures that brat won,” and, “good. Looks like I finally have a chance to prove to that idiot what I’m truly capable of.” Opal finds it incredibly entertaining while Hatterene is damn near ready to break something over their head.
Galar League
- On the day of the semi-finals, Bede “sneaks” out to Wyndon to crash Victor’s impending match. Opal is well aware of their plans, but lets them without saying anything for her own amusement and as the final step in their quest to self-acceptance.
- Victor is fairly surprised to see Bede when they barge onto the battlefield, but he’s ultimately glad to see they’re doing okay. When Bede starts “pouring their heart out to him when they’ve never lost their cool before,” Victor is substantially surprised by the difference from the Bede he initially knew. He wholeheartedly accepts their challenge, even before the judges officially give the go-ahead, looking forward to seeing just how much Bede has grown.
- It was a surprisingly close match, but Victor ended up so engrossed in the battle that he practically forgot the massive crowd was surrounding them the entire time.
- After Bede’s defeat, Victor concurs with the crowd’s demands for them not to retire from battling, parroting his earlier sentiments that they shouldn’t lose hope after one mistake. It’s just not like them. Bede refuses to admit its Victor’s support that convinces them to continue their rise to the rank of gym leader, using the crowd’s will as an excuse that Victor easily sees through. He wishes Bede the best of luck in their endeavors on their way off the battlefield, which they reluctantly reciprocate towards Victor’s upcoming matches.
- Gloria grumps about Bede just lucking their way into a gym leader position, but Victor reminds her they’ve gone through a lot to get where they are and have clearly started working to make up for their mistakes. He finally convinces her to stop acting sour about it by reminding her that they are still very much being forced to put up with Opal’s antics, which brings a smug smile to his sister’s face.
- Bede continues watching the rest of the semi-final matches from the stands, sitting next to Marnie without actually recognizing her. She finds her best friend after the day’s matches are over and reports her observations of Bede’s not-entirely-concealed investment in his battles.
- After winning their way through their semi-final brackets, Victor and Gloria face off in the tournament finals to determine who will challenge Leon for the title of Champion. After Gloria ultimately claims victory, Bede storms down to the locker rooms and greets Victor with a bonk on the head and an appalled scowl as he steps into the hallway, informing Victor that they knew full well he made an intentionally sloppy call near the end of the match. Victor admits to somewhat throwing the match, explaining that he felt he made the right call. He states that the battle could always have ended up in either of their favors were it not for a couple lucky breaks, that Gloria was always more suited for the title, and that he never actually wanted to become Champion in the first place. Being Champion meant becoming the most sought-after public image in the region and regularly dealing with crowds and fans, plus it would make following his actual dreams more difficult due to the busy schedule of the role.
- Bede takes some time to accept Victor’s decision, but ultimately has no choice but to reluctantly acknowledge how much thought he put into it. When Victor inquires why Bede cares so much in the first place, they sputter about not wanting their rival to make them look worse by extension. Seeing through the tsundere act again, Victor plays along, but warmly thanks Bede for being so concerned about them anyway as he heads to watch the Championship match with Hop and Marnie.
Darkest Day/Championship Match
- While raiding Hammerlocke Stadium, Victor sends Hop and Gloria ahead while he battles Rose in the power core. As the two fight, Victor firmly calls out Rose’s shortsightedness, making a point to cite his neglectful and unnecessarily harsh treatment of Bede when it was obvious all they wanted to do was make him proud of them.
- Before Rose turns himself in for his actions, Victor has him write a formal apology to Bede, since his treatment of them was never really acknowledged in any of his other apologies. He hands it to them on their way to the stands before Gloria and Leon’s match, advising them to wait until after to look at it just to avoid any potential “unintended breaks in their cool.”
- Bede decides to trust Victor and reads Rose’s apology later that evening. They keep their distance for a bit, mostly since they know better than to crash the celebration the others throw Gloria just to talk to her brother. They have enough social awareness at this point to not show up uninvited to a party for someone who still clearly dislikes them where someone else they still have yet to make amends with (Hop) is guaranteed to be.
- They use their still fairly-prevalent roster of Psychic Pokemon to determine which hotel room Victor is staying in, writing a note on the now-empty envelope and slipping it under the door for him to find.
- As per the letter’s request, Victor heads to Wyndon’s Battle Cafe the next morning, where Bede waits to thank him somewhat less reluctantly than their other admissions have been. After Victor happily accepts Bede’s thanks, he inquires as to why Bede would go out of their way just to thank someone. Failing to deny that they went out of their way, Bede admits to both Victor and themselves that they’ve grown some sort of respect towards him.
- Victor warmly affirms Bede for their growth and restates that he feels they’ll be a great gym leader, as well as complimenting the genuine smile they show soon after. As they finish their brunch, Bede insists on finally exchanging contact information since “it’s only natural for rivals to have a basic means of contact.” Victor makes a joke about Bede asking for his number after a “successful date,” which mostly just invokes Bede’s pouty glare before swiping Victor’s Rotom Phone and plugging in their number before storming out.
- Victor ends up getting stuck with the bill, but he decides it’s worth it.
- When Bede returns to Ballonlea, Opal’s definitely connected the dots about their festering crush on Victor. She welcomes them back in her own fashion before informing them that she’s doubling down on Fairy-Type boot camp to make up for the days they were gone. Whether they admit it or not, Bede also believes it’s worth it.
- Hatterene just decides to accept their progress for now for the sake of her sanity.
Still more to come! We haven’t even gotten to the actual relationship yet! That’s like half the fun!
