Get To Know Benefits Of Basic Funeral Package
The basic funeral package is a benefit that most people don't know about. It's an affordable way for your family to pay for the funeral expenses. The basic funeral package is also known as prepaid funeral plan or prearranged funerals. It's a type of insurance that guarantees availability in case you die before the date on which your contract expires.

Mail delivery has been fun this week. Every package I open it’s a fun game of “is this a dress for a funeral or is it a Barbie t-shirt?”
#Barbie (2023) continues to be my main source of serotonin#I also panicked bc funeral is a lot sooner than I was expecting#and the actual dress I ordered before she died won’t get here on time 🙃#so I just ordered basically every vaguely appropriate dress I could find on Amazon#because also?? idk if this is a Catholic thing or bc my aunt was v involved in her community#but there are THREE viewings and then the funeral??#and it’s going to be really hot so I didn’t want to count on being able to re-wear the same thing#idk this may be one of those weird grief spirals bc this is not something I’d ordinarily get worked up over#ANYWAY this post brought to you by me opening a package thinking maybe the dress got here early#and was instead greeted by a bright pink convertible#personal

Meghan was leaking about the Queen being on her deathbed and her death before it was announced & before the whole family knew and I think it got back to the family who was leaking to the press about her condition and was the reason why Charles basically said Meghan can fuck off…
Yep, I agree. I feel pretty confident that she was the one talking to Scobie that day (which he writes about in Endgame) just by him describing the source as an "insider" and "someone whose word I had come to trust."
There were rumors at the time that Meghan had been talking to American journalists, and they were later confirmed when Gayle King said a couple of things about the Sussex/Charles rift a few days later.
I don't know that she was speaking of the Queen's condition before she passed. I have to trust everyone else's judgement on that.
So confession time: I was at a family wedding that weekend. As my luck had it, I was gone Thursday 9/8 to Tuesday 9/13 (the plane had just landed and we were rolling up to the gate when I saw the "Her Majesty has been advised to rest" announcement) and I unfortunately have a "the family must do ALL the things together ALL the time EVERY time" grandmother so there was no sneaking away to watch the BBC app on my phone. I saw nothing live or in real time that weekend, only to come home to find out that my cable company dropped BBC World News from my package (gotta love that capitalism) so the DVR recordings I set via the app didn't even take and I had to upgrade to the premium package. Ooh, that reminds me. I DVR'd the BBC's coverage of the funeral and I wonder if I still have the recording, since the royal family made the BBC take it down last year.
Anyway, back to the point. I do agree with you that the family absolutely knew Meghan was leaking about the Queen's passing because of Sophie. Oh, man, Sophie was so, so pissed that day at the Lying-in-State when she and Meghan were in the car together and she also iced Meghan out at the funeral too.
Kate too -- Kate knew something at the Windsor walkabout because it was all over her face and in her body language. At the time, the story/rumor was that the Waleses found out the Sussexes were planning their own walkabout in Windsor with Netflix/CNN and/or that the Sussexes had kept them waiting at least an hour, but I always felt there was more to Kate's anger than that.

Coord to visit a Halloween faire which was just basically a con for goths. I bought a decent amount of gothy candles and soap so I'm very happy tonight 😊
There were a lot of very skilled artists there, I wish I had more money so I could have bought some of the jewellery, embroidery, stained glass, and pottery! What a dream 🖤
Anyway, I got my iris garden x haenuli package this week! So wore out the jsk. It's comfy and beautiful, the fabric is very soft!
I wore my 'the funeral' necklace by violet fane, which is made with wood and acrylic. I thought it really suited the coord, but the wood snagged a lot on the front of the bodice and created a bunch of fine snags :((
I haven't had this problem with the necklace in the past, I would say it's the nature of the fabric used on the jsk. So note, the fabric is very fragile! Take care when choosing accessories!

A lot of the English-media outlets have been saying that Taylor is mourning her fan’s death and making it seem like she cares. but the fan, Ana’s father mentioned that no one in Taylor’s team contacted his family. Taylor claims to care so much about her fans but is unwilling to reach out to her fan’s family to offer condolences directly or offer to pay for the funeral.
she’s literally found out someone’s address without them knowing and sent merch packages to them for being a fan before, she’s more than capable of at the very least sending flowers and a personal condolence message to the family. it’s basic human decency that’s lacking in this whole situation and it’s disgusting how she and her team are choosing to go about this.

Signora's Coffin is from the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor
here you guys go, the glorious harbinger crackfic that I've been sitting on since winter nights lazzo came out and haven't posted.
ao3 link (see for tags): https://archiveofourown.org/works/49167907
word count: 3k
Summary: Childe has the worst day of his life on a field trip to Wangsheng Funeral parlor with the rest of the Harbingers.
Childe wasn’t entirely sure how’d the others would react to…this.
He could only stare at the remains of the fallen Signora and the packaging that they had been stuffed in by Tenshukaku. It was a long boat ride home, but the Tsaritsa wanted her beloved Signora returned home for a proper burial, and since there hadn’t been much in terms of leads on Scaramouche-the bastard-he could be dispatched to escort a fellow warrior to her final resting place. Of all the other Harbingers, he at least considered Signora to be loyal to the Tsaritsa alone as well.
What a mess.
~~
His attendants tried desperately to convince him to at least place her in an urn to present to Pierro, but Childe knew that Pierro would want to see the sorry state of…this. He carried her within his hand, trying to quell the bloodlust within him. How dare-well, the Shogun was a goddess, perhaps this is just what she thought. But the Fatui deserved to know of slights and insults against them to retaliate accordingly.
Childe knocked on the door to Pierro’s office. A small woman, Pierro’s secretary of sorts, opened the door, and let him in.
“I’ve got her.”
Pierro turned from the chessboard he had been staring at, and Childe recognized Zhongli’s-no, Morax’s-gnosis, as well as one that must’ve been Barbatos’. It was awfully garish compared to Morax’s.
He turned his attention back to Pierro, trying to keep his calm in the face of his leader, and held out the cloth bag, basically scrap fabric hastily stitched together, with a small tag on it, reading “Talk shit get obliterated -Ei”.
Pierro’s eyes narrowed. “How dare that pompous little bitch!” He roared, taking the bag. “Look at this!” He turned to Childe, “Did you order a counter attack?”
“I’d rather not be in a second bag, sir.”
Pierro seemingly growled at him, causing Childe’s anxiety to spike. Pierro took a deep breath, calming himself. He muttered something under his breath in a language long forgotten, then looked at Childe again. “You did the right thing, to show me the transgression. Our forces in Inazuma have been considerably weakened with the loss of their Harbinger and the resolution of the Inazuman conflict.”
Childe nodded, keeping his eyes steadily on Pierro, who gently set the bag down and ripped away the offending tag and threw it into the fire. “Aleksandra,” he called to his secretary. She came over, and took the bag. “Please find her a suitable place somewhere while we procure a far more respectful…final place.”
Aleksandra nodded and disappeared. Pierro looked to Childe. “Come, Tartaglia. We must gather the Harbingers.”
~~
Looking over a side of the ship they were on, Liyue Harbor in the distance, Childe had to remind himself that coming here was his idea, somehow.
Pierro had asked where they could get the best coffins possible in Teyvat, and well, Childe had but one recommendation.
And thus began what Arlecchino had insisted on calling “Operation Giftbox”. Not the worst name for an op, especially by Arlecchino standards (including such hits as Operation Super Awesome Cool Murder and Operation Ruin Your Fuckin Day, Bitch). The boat docked with a small jolt, and Childe descended the stairs to the lower decks to check on the others.
As he had been the only Harbinger in Liyue mostly, he didn’t have to worry about disguising himself (wasn’t his style anyway), but Pulcinella had mentioned how weird it would be if all nine remaining Harbingers showed up in Liyue Harbor (and would likely be taken rather badly by locals).
So disguises for everyone else, which seemed to include a number of overly unnecessary items, large pairs of sunglasses, face masks, and rather gaudy vacation clothing.
“Stick to the story,” Pantalone said, pulling on a pair of white gloves and a gauzy shawl, “We’re merely merchants from Snezhnaya procuring a little something for a high-profile client. It’s close enough to the truth that even you might remember it,” He finished that last sentence with a condescending chuckle.
“Funny,” Childe said dryly, before wincing at Capitano’s look. He had opted for the full tourist: obnoxiously patterned shirt and khakis.
“What?” Capitano asked, pulling his hair up to tuck underneath the large wide-brimmed hat he wore, that Childe could not figure out for the life of him where he had procured.
“We’re supposed to blend in,” Childe said dryly.
“And? Am I not allowed to sightsee? I’ve been in Natlan and Mondstadt for so long, I want to travel farther!” Capitano whined a little.
Childe opened his mouth to speak, but Pierro placed a hand on his shoulder. “Just try not to draw attention any further than you have to,” he said. Childe nodded, before his eyes bulged out of his head at Pierro’s look, with long pants, and short sleeved coat over a plain shirt, and a fanny pack clearly full of supplies at his hips.
“Do I have to leave him?” Sandrone whined as her robot butler gently set her in her wheelchair, making sad little beeps about leaving his mistress behind. Thankfully Sandrone had enough sense to wear a simple light sundress, but had a Kamera slung around her neck.
“He’s far too large to fit anywhere in Liyue,” Pierro said, “He’ll have to stay on the boat.”
Dottore sighed dramatically, “If only you’d have-“
“Keep your filthy fudging hands off of my machines,” Sandrone hissed.
Childe suddenly realized why they didn’t meet up all that often.
They were escorted off the boat and taken up to the main harbor from the docks, where the attendant bowed and left. Childe looked around, and noticed a few Milelith officers standing nearby, trying to look inconspicuous. One accidentally made eye contact with him. He smirked and waved as they snapped their eyes away, blushing.
He chuckled and turned to the others, who were all staring at him intently.
“Are you going to flirt all day, or take us to this Wangsheng Funeral place?” Columbina asked.
“Oh!” Childe pretended to not suddenly realize that they were waiting on him to take the lead, “We’ll get there soon enough, it’s not far! I just thought you needed a minute to do…whatever.” He waved his hand dismissively. Good save, Childe. “But if you insist,” he sighed, sticking his hands in his pockets and turning. “We can get going.”
The walk to Wangsheng Funeral Parlor was one Childe knew well, and it took just a few minutes maybe, but this time it felt like it took a lifetime with the way that people were staring at him and his odd companions. He supposed he couldn’t blame them, outlanders regardless of clothing usually got stared at, but this was so much worse. He almost felt as though he could die from embarrassment in the street, and it took all of his training and will to keep his face a perfect mask of cheerful indifference.
He expected a nice little bonus for this. He wasn’t going to get one, but it would be really nice.
“What interesting architecture,” Dottore commented, looking at the crossing walkways that led to the second story of the city, “They’re far more vertically inclined than horizontal, must have something to do with the influence of the mountains nearby.”
“It’s cramped,” Arlecchino said. “That’s what you’re saying.” They did look rather uncomfortable, after all. Even in the fairly wide street.
“It’s not cramped,” Pantalone said. “Here at least. Horizontal land purchases are far more expensive here,” he said more to himself than anyone else. “As the city has been developed for a thousand years, now they find it easier to expand up than out.” If his eyes were open, they would’ve been glittering. “Air rights should be fairly cheap….bank could loan…yes yes,” he smiled dangerously.
Childe felt pretty glad that his main driving force in life was battle, not money.
Eventually they managed to get to Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, tucked in the back in the northern half of the city. “Here it is,” Childe said.
“Awfully quiet place here,” Pulcinella said. “Is there anyone inside?”
Childe shrugged, and opened the door anyway. The lights were barely on, and slowly the Harbingers filed inside, looking around-canvassing for threats. Wangsheng Funeral Parlor may not conduct certain unsavory business anymore, but it didn’t do anything to discourage rumors, and certainly didn’t decorate in a far more comforting way.
Childe stepped closer to the counter. No one was hiding behind it, and nothing within the side office where Zhongli usually was, and the hallway behind the counter was dark. “Hello?” He called, looking around.
No response.
“Odd,” Pierro commented. He came up next to Childe, and scanned the little sign saying “Be back in a few!” With a small ghost waving. Childe recognized it as Hu Tao’s, the current and 77th Director of the Parlor, handwriting. “They appear to be on some sort of break.”
“Great,” Capitano flopped his body onto a nearby couch after parking Sandrone next to it. The couch creaked a little under his weight, and Childe really hoped that it wouldn’t snap and break like that one unfortunate stool in Snezhnaya’s favorite bar, the Polar Bear.
“Now what do we do?” Columbina asked, tilting her head in curiosity. “Will they get back soon?”
Childe snorted a laugh. “If Mr. Zhongli is out with the Director, definitely not.”
“Ah, yes, the same Mr. Zhongli you’ve been sugar daddying for recently?” Pantalone asked as he gracefully sat in a chair.
Everyone’s heads snapped towards Childe. He felt his neck get hot, and his face was flushing. He looked off to the side, laughing nervously. “Y-you can’t prove that.”
“Your bank accounts are under the Northland Bank, which is, as you may remember, my department,” Pantalone smiled in a saccharine sweet way. “So, knowing this, when you started spending in excess on a consistent basis, I inquired about the unusual charges. Turns out, this Mr. Zhongli has a most discerning eye for sparkly and shiny things, and you’ve been providing. You’ve also taken him to several dinners. It’s all in the account records. There’s a copy in the bank here, I can show you the ledger if-“
“Nope, not necessary, I get it,” Childe said, waving him off. He could only keep his face down, unable to look from the floor at the gossip-hungry looks of his coworkers.
“Childe, you should be far more careful about these things! My goodness, are you at least using protection?” Pulcinella asked.
If he had been drinking, Childe would’ve spit it out. “What?!” He snapped his head up, his eyes wide.
“You know I support you regardless of your preferences, but you still have to take precautions with escorts, male or female!” Pulcinella insisted. Several of the others nodded in agreement.
“Woah woah woah!” Childe put his hands up in defense. “I think there’s been a mistake or some sort of miscommunication here-“
“What’s been miscommunicated?” Columbina asked, “Sounds pretty straightforward to me.”
“Psst!” Capitano pretended to whisper across the room, “I don’t think he knows this Mr. Zhongli is an escort!” He lifted a hand to pretend to block Childe’s view from the finger he had pointed in the ginger’s direction, despite the fact that Columbina was quite literally next to Childe.
“Oh!” Columbina gasped. She turned to Childe, “Oh you poor thing…”
“I knew I should’ve talked to you before you left about these things,” Pulcinella lamented. “Now look what I’ve done!”
“Guys! Guys!” Childe waved his hands wildly, “Mr. Zhongli isn’t an escort!”
Capitano’s body slumped. “He doesn’t even know,” he threw an arm up in defeat.
“Tartaglia,” Pierro began, “An escort is-“
“I know what an escort is!” Childe cried. “Mr. Zhongli is a fucking consultant for this place!” He pointed to the office behind him. “That’s his office! He works here! Does this,” he spread his arms and gestured wildly, “look like the kind of place that an escort would work?!”
Everyone got very silent for a moment.
“So he’s a conman,” Arlecchino said.
“Have you gotten anything out of the relationship?” Dottore asked, “Specifically asking, have you had sex with him?”
“No!” Childe cried again, this time in exasperation. “He’s not a conman, and it’s not any of your business if I’ve had sex with him! He’s just a good friend!”
Sandrone spoke up, “Have you fought him in combat?”
It was Childe’s turn to fall silent. He never did get to spar with Zhongli, now that he thought of it.
“Oh honey,” Columbina said, placing her hand on his shoulder. “You’ve been scammed.”
“I didn’t get scammed,” Childe said, a little gruffly. “I just…he helped me with the mission I had here and taught me a lot…It didn’t matter to me what he wanted to buy, he always forgot his wallet anyway.”
He wouldn’t convince any of them, it was pretty clear to him. Columbina rubbed his arm comfortingly, and it was probably the most normal thing she’s ever done.
They were all quiet for a bit, and Pantalone had enough sense to look a little sheepish about the mess he had caused.
Childe sank to sit on the floor, the rest of the chairs and couches in the waiting room taken up by the others. Pierro continued to lean against the desk, looking to his watch. Dottore had found a magazine, and had taken a pen and was likely labeling all the parts of the model in the spread that he would “upgrade” and did a mini vivisection on one photo to be really thorough. Capitano had leaned his head against the wall, likely taking a brief nap. Arlecchino had balled themself up and was scratching at the threads on the couch arm. Sandrone had found a book on new embalming techniques and was busy speeding through it, while Pulcinella had found a magazine on coffin styles, and was actually bothering to do the task they had come here for.
The door opened after maybe thirty minutes, and the Harbingers all jumped as the fading daylight flooded the dim parlor. “Aiya! Were you all waiting long?” A familiar voice rang through the waiting room. Childe rose to his feet and Miss Hu Tao stood in the doorway with a bag of food from Wanmin Restaurant. Behind her was the imposing and elegant presence of Mr. Zhongli, also holding a Wanmin bag and a drink carrier with take out cups from Third-Round Knockout, a tavern Childe remembered with much irritation. Zhongli had managed to drink him under the table, a competition that Childe had thought, as a Snezhnayan native, he would’ve been a clear and obvious winner (he hadn’t been the only one, as many a grumbling gambler had had to hand over bags of mora to Zhongli, who looked far too smug when Childe was drunk.)
“Childe,” Zhongli said, hiding the surprise in his voice. “I didn’t realize you were in town.”
Childe was quiet for a few moments before Columbina kicked him gently. “Oh-oh yeah, I’m just escorting these guys,” he gestured, “They’re looking to procure a coffin for a high-profile client. I’m just the muscle,” he gave a signature grin.
“I hope it wasn’t your muscle that caused the need for our services,” Zhongli smirked, a joking lit to his voice as he walked to his office and set the food down. “Forgive me, we are technically on dinner break.”
“Oh please,” Hu Tao piped up. “Business is business, any time of day! And anything for your little boyfriend’s pals, hehe,” she teased, placing her food behind the counter.
Pantalone looked far too smug as Zhongli had a faint blush come to his cheeks. “Forgive her, she thinks that joke is funny.”
“Oh we don’t mind,” Arlecchino said, “We find it amusing too.”
Hu Tao flashed them a grin. “So are we just looking for a coffin, or would you like to engage in our funerary services as well today?”
Pierro straightened up, and gave her a small smile, “Oh no, the client’s family has insisted on doing all of the funeral planning themselves. They’ve merely contacted our firm in procurement of a coffin, that’s all the contract states.”
“Well, we’re certainly capable of working within the confines of a contract,” Zhongli said, passing off one of the take-out cups to Hu Tao, who nodded in assent.
“We should start with materials,” Hu Tao said, using her vision to light the lamps that led down the hallway, briefly disappearing into a room before returning with a slab, with various woods samples attached on, “I think the fir ones are lovely, personally, but sandalwood and maple are very popular this season-“
“Wood won’t do,” Pierro said.
Hu Tao tilted her head.
“In Snezhnaya, it’s far too cold for wood coffins. Far too cold to bury them, the ground is frozen solid,” Pierro continued. “Woods often splinter and break. Most Snezhnayan coffins are made of stone and lay on top of the floor in a mausoleum.”
Hu Tao only nodded, “I didn’t realize! My apologies,” she placed the sample board on the ground. “We can do stone, however they are all custom orders, which will take longer. Thankfully,” she looked to Zhongli, “We have a rock expert on our hands.”
A sort of look was exchanged between the disguised Harbingers and it took Childe everything he had left from this exhausting day to not roll his eyes. Not professional at all.
Zhongli coughed. “I’m nothing to gawk at, but I do know a fair amount, as Mr. Childe can attest to. But is there something specific we had in mind? Sizing is going to be integral to-“
Pierro slapped a piece of paper down, drawn from his fanny pack. “This is it. All the material guides, design, and dimensions.”
Zhongli took the paper, blinking a little, giving a slight judgemental side eye before looking it over. “And who is in charge of budget?”
Pantalone raised his hand far too quickly. “We have no budget. I’ve been given permission to use whatever funds necessary to get the project done.”
Hu Tao and Zhongli looked to one another, mora signs in their eyes.
Yep, they were going to get scammed.

What are some of your favorite videogames? ♡ ♡ ♡
(extremely long post incoming lol turns out i have a lot of things to say on this subject)
usually i have too hard of a time trying to remember anything i like to have answers for questions like these but thankfully for this one i have answers prepared since this is something i try to think about a lot
realistically if i had to pick one single "favorite videogame" above the rest itd probably just, like, ocarina of time & majora's mask (i'm considering them to be one videogame because i said so, it;s a package deal), just on account of how much of an impact they had on me from an early age combined with just how often i Still go back to revisit them in one way or another, but this is just about the most basic boring answer a person can have for this question unfortunately
thankfully you asked for some of my favorites instead of just one so i can unveil my Actual list of favorites instead of the one that only holds the top spot by technicality and not because i actually like it "the most". all of my favorite games have such a range in style and quality it's hard to really compare them in any meaningful way
anyway
crypt worlds, space funeral, and off-peak are all pretty different games made by very different people but i usually group them together when talking about stuff like this since collectively finding them all back in the day at roughly the same time kind of shaped my perception of indie games as a whole which probably gave me a very weird and skewed perception of the media but who gives a shit really it's a perception i hold dear. (they weren't the first indie games i ever saw of course but they were the most personally impactful ones that made me go "holy shit, this is awesome, you can do literally whatever you want")
they've pretty heavily influenced my own games, too. there have been multiple times i've started a project and then days later realized "wait shit this is just space funeral again. i'm just making space funeral again but slightly to the left. fuuuck" which is a pretty good problem to have i think.
anyway,
gadget: invention, travel, and adventure is an old point and click game i found a few years ago that struck me by just how unique feeling its atmosphere is. strange looking people turn to you and say even stranger sounding things, the soundtrack feels like its having a nervous breakdown, the main character is given so few meaningful decisions/actions (read: basically none) by the people around them that it can barely be considered a game at all…it is a very fascinating experience, and one that i think back to a lot
i like Your Turn To Die a lot and am very excited to see how it ends, though i feel like i don't have too much to say on it here. one of those games that has me going "oh man i should draw more fanart for that one of these days" every time i'm reminded of it only to then remember that i Can't Fucking Draw right now lmao
myhouse.wad is something that extremely deserves to go on this list but a large part of my brain is telling me not to just because somewhere along the line i fucked up and became allergic to anything that has ever recently become popular & trendy on youtube because i don't want to look like a poser even though literally no one but me cares about where i hear about these things so i can only bring myself to include it if i also state that i played it BEFORE it was cool &all the streamers started covering it like some kind of shameful hipster. but for real though its awesome, very inspiring stuff. i wish my brain did not force me to want to distance myself from it for literally no good reason. fucking ocarina of time is on this list why is this the thing that makes you afraid of looking like a normie
i have a lot of appreciation for myst in a kind of "i've never played more than 5 minutes of this nor have i even bothered to watch a playthrough of it but i understand what you have done for me and the games i love that came after you" kind of way. i have purchased 3 different copies of it over the years as well as a copy of riven and i don't intend on playing any of them anytime soon. great game, probably. i wouldn't know.
i like a lot of kitty horrorshow's games but i don't really know what my favorite would be. lethargy hill is probably the one i think about most often though.
i like (the steam version of) dwarf fortress a lot and have been trying to play it more often. it is very funny having 80 hours in a game and still not feeling like you understand half the mechanics in it. figuring it out as i go along has been fun though. in a similar vein i also like elden ring a lot and despite being at over 160 hours on that one i still haven't beaten it. i need to get back to it before the dlc comes out but i stopped playing for so long that most of my muscle memory is gone…
for something much more recent than all of the above, absolutely perfect specimen is something really incredible that gave me a lot of stuff to think about, though it can be a little hard to recommend since it's extremely 18+ and has a whole big list of content warnings you definitely need to take heed of. extremely interesting work though, i like it a lot.
i'm running out of things to list off and should probably stop just for the sake of time even if there is more shit that deserves mentioning so i'll just end it off with CLONE ON NET YAROZE BABYYYYYY LET'S FUCKIN GO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 💯💪🙌💥💯💯

Nie-Centric Ideas, Part One
Nie Huaisang becomes immortal by unknown means to see his brother's soul safely back into reincarnation. Though he hasn't forgiven Jin Guangyao he figures karma can take over from here and releases him too.
The world is changing. The number of ghosts and monsters to be fought is declining, and the sects are becoming less needed. Everyone he knows has either passed back into the cycle or gone to explore.
He has other plans. He knows that if he doesn't stop himself, he will search endlessly for his brother's reincarnations, and Da-ge deserves better than to be saddled with him ever again in any fashion. Moreover, with fewer ghosts and criminals to feed on, the sabers in the tombs are getting restless.
Since his ascension has only amplified the resentment within him, it's easy to kill two birds with one stone. Sealed away in the tomb by his own doing, he sleeps, and the sabers sleep with him, their spirits quietly fading away one by one from the effects of the arrays he painstakingly painted on stone and cloth and flesh.
After hundreds of years, he and Baxia are the only ones left, still sleeping hidden away from a world that has entirely forgotten they ever existed.
Until someone breaks the seal.
----------
One of the basics of comic books is that time travel usually doesn't work because it doesn't fix the timeline you came from, it just splits off a new one. Imagine Nie Huaisang having this realization after several failed attempts and having a massive breakdown at the knowledge that he inadvertently created and condemned multiple versions of the brother he wanted to save.
----------
Imagine that after the bonfire incident, Nie Mingjue knows he went too far, but he can't just say it. He can't let himself be that vulnerable when it already feels like everything's crashing in on him. The thought of replacing what was destroyed comes to him, but then he remembers Jin Guangyao making the same offer and he's angry all over again.
But he can't just let this go, he hurt the most important person in the whole world to him.
And then three days after the funeral, a package arrives addressed to Nie Huaisang. It’s a full set of expensive pigments and the most beautifully made brushes he's ever seen.
Swamped in grief and his own guilt, he can't bring himself to use them.
----------
Imagining post-canon in which Nie Huaisang is trapped in a Black Mercy-style spell that gives someone a dream of the life they'd always wanted in exchange for feeding off them. Just as the others (nebulous handwave as to who's there) are getting ready to try and break it, the spell shatters, overcome from the inside.
Someone, maybe Zizhen because none of the grownups want to talk about it, gently prodding a recovering Nie Huaisang as to how he got out on his own so easily.
He shrugs. "The spell was too outlandish. I figured out everything was fake almost immediately."
"Because... Chifeng-zun was alive?"
"Hm... no. No... that was at least plausible, if things had gone differently. No, it went too far by having me be married."
"To whom?"
"Doesn't matter. Even in an ideal world, it would have never been an option," he mutters dismissively, then has a servant escort Zizhen out.
Of course, Zizhen isn't just gonna let that go. Now he has a mystery to solve!
----------
Imagine that when Nie Mingjue is having really shitty near-deviation days, he has to seek out, not damaging, but just weird stimuli just to be sure his senses are still working. Like putting honey on a pork bun then dipping the whole thing in vinegar, just to see if he can still taste it.
----------
So many sad Nie Huaisang ideas involve him giving away or selling his birds...
...what about a horror variant where he's found eating them?
And he has no idea. Completely checked out from reality.
Trauma? Possession? No longer entirely human? So many options.
----------
Nie Mingjue stress eats, Nie Huaisang stress cooks, but their idea of stress food is diametrically opposed so Nie Huaisang ends up having to give away all his hard effort (not that their friends mind at ALL) because Da-ge won't eat anything but raw veggies! The nerve!
----------
Happy ending Orpheus and Eurydice-style story where after several reincarnations, Nie Mingjue starts getting his memories back and realizes that, since the more impact a person has on your life, the more likely you are to meet them again, and yet he has never seen his brother since that first life, Nie Huaisang must not be reincarnating. So he decides that either through magical means or just straight taking his own life, he's going to find his brother and pull him back into the reincarnation cycle.
----------
In a timeline where Jin Guangyao kills Nie Huaisang either because he caught on to the revenge plan or for some other political reason, it proves to be a huge mistake.
Because their mutual hatred of him caused the Nies' souls to be tethered in death and vengeful ghost!Nie Huaisang was able to find his da-ge's pieces much quicker than he ever would have been able to while living.
Now Jin Guangyao has two monsters out for his blood.

Fire and Hemlock Readalong: Part 4 Chapter 1
Part Four: Nowhere
We return again to adult Polly, taking stock of her current reality and going about things very methodically in a way I don't see a lot in protagonists, and which I very much admire. Too many writers simply let their heroes go straight for the correct answer, and don't let them dwell on the problem. But of course, Diana is always asking 'how would a real person act in this situation?"
First Polly looks for her photo and her papers. She still has the Fire and Hemlock picture, but not Tom's photo.
We get some more clues from Granny, who as Diana explains in "The Heroic Ideal "Granny takes on the role of Fate and Wisdom quite overtly, shearing fish and explaining the riddle of the ballad of Tam Lin." She tells how every nine years, a funeral comes down from Hunsdon House at Halloween; every 81 years it is a woman, but all other times it is a man.
Polly runs into Nina and Leslie, neither of whom remember her, on her way to see Ivy. Polly is shocked to see that Ivy has transformed physically into Edna, although of course she has been all along. Ivy goes on about happiness again, saying "I'm only asking for what should be mine." To which Polly retorts "Who says it should be yours?" Because Ivy is Laurel, entitled to take what she wants from others, but still left empty from it.
As Polly leaves, Ivy asks where she is going. " 'Nowhere,' Polly replied, not thinking. Hearing herself say it, she gave a cackle of laughter as she hurried out of the house." She really is in search of Nowhere.
She hunts down David Bragge, who is at least able to confirm that she did receive mysterious packages of books during her childhood. Now that she's an adult, she realizes the implications of his over-friendliness and is more cynical than shocked by it.
We learn that in this new timeline, she met Seb when he crashed a party of Fiona's and sought her out immediately; that he "cajoled, bullied, and pleaded with her to get engaged to him"; that she met his parents, to which his father responded "Well, now, this is clever of you, Sebastian!" This is likely the "other way" that he was arguing for at the fair - get Polly under their control by marrying her, which is exactly Laurel's methods.
Seb also fills in a few gaps. "Laurel and my father used to be married before, you see, before my father met my mother." And that his mother died nine years ago.
So now we have a picture of Seb's life. Laurel and Morton are an immortal duo, but Morton leaves her for a mortal woman and has Seb. Laurel retaliates by taking Seb's mother - whose funeral Polly gate-crashed. Or rather, I always assumed the funeral was the whole "immortal periodically fakes their own death" trope, considering Laurel inherited basically everything, and Tom doesn't mention it; but Seb's mother would have been the one who actually died. You almost feel bad for him, thinking what that funeral must have been like from his perspective. How much did Tom know, I wonder?
Anyway, coming back to the themes of Nowhere:
Thomas Lynn, if he had ever existed, had been so separate from her everyday life that it had been an easy thing to slice him out of it - as easy as Granny fllleting plaice for Mintchoc. Except that he had not been separate at all. Almost everything Polly did in those five years went back to Mr. Lynn somehow. The four years after that had been formless and humdrum years. Polly had done things, true, but it had all been without shape, as if she had been filleted away from her own motives and the things which gave her shape.
Even her ordinary ventures like playing soccer (as hero training) and being in the school play (and inviting Tom) have all had strong connections to Tom and Nowhere. Diana brings us once again to the importance of imagination and creation in being a person; because what is a self but an imagined character, a hero, if you will?
With nothing conclusive, Polly goes back to Granny's to pack for college, but Granny, still in her aspect of wisdom, encourages her to keep trying. "If a book set you off, a book may help again," she advises.

Messrs. Shipwright & Seuss
Magic detective OCs
me rambling below (theres a lot)
originally, they were hp fan characters, with houses, wands, patronuses and everything but for varying reasons, they evolved past that and I basically made up a whole world, similar but not entirely. a Lot of changes were just me fixing and then adding waaay too much detail into the magic system (because I go rabid for world building)
eg. i threw that whole witch = girl, wizard = boy thing FAR out the window. Those are basically titles now that classifies what sort of magic user are you. Regular peeps are Mages, 'Wizard' is basically like a phd, Witches are homeschooled, Warlocks are the equivalent to 'fucked around, found out'. I could go more in depth if ppl r interested,,,
Dr.Shipwright
one on the right
pseud Jeers Shipwright, real name Noah Silkryce
Holds the title of wizard, is an actual genuine doctor whom specialises in the treatment and study of magic cores (a magic user's source of magic located very literally inside their bodies)
he lives in the two story apartment above the storefront thats basically their detective office
his apartment is meant for like a family of 4 but he has So Many Books. Even copies of the same book because theyre "collector's edition" or something other. My god, one quarter of his collection is untouched and still in their packaging because he hasnt finished the ones hes already opened yet.
He'll read about anything you throw at him but he enjoys fiction the most
Eccentric (read, i projected all of my neurodivergence onto him)
aside from loving books to no end, he also enjoys wearing funky patterns. different coloured & patterned socks, arcade floor pants, etc etc. Even at a funeral, if you looked close enough, his necktie has black cat patterns on it.
(He started doing it cause one of his favourite book characters did it. Perseus is ever grateful Noah didnt pick up the character's accent as well)
he looks charming but has nearly zero social skills. Best part is that its not that he doesnt try, he just doesnt bother with it. he leaves all the talking part to Perseus
Mr. Seuss
one on the left
pseud Seuss Dreammaker, real name Perseus O. Coy
Originally part of the Magic Police but left to join Noah in becoming a detective duo. He still retains some favorability from the magic police, specifically the current police chief whom he used to apprentice under.
She, the police chief, is one of the ways the two get their cases
While Noah uses a wand for most magic, Perseus uses a foil sword disguised as a cane
the magic police use magic swords.
Perseus also just. Knows fencing cause hes from a pureblood richie magic family
yea theres blood politics in this too but in the timeline, its cooled waaay the fuck down by the time Noah and Perseus got out of secondary school
coming from a pureblood family, his tastes lean a bit more to the expensive side, especially for food.
him and his parents travelled a lot thus Perseus having a very broad flavour pallette. At some point he'd began his own secret little food journal rating and writting down dishes and recipes he's picked up. (he learnt how to cook purely because the school food was far too bland. Just imagine younger him as that one person on tiktok who cooked a wellington in their dorm)
He acts plenty reserved but he can be very excitable when it comes to new things, not just food. Though, he doesn't show it well unless prompted to.
"Decorum, remember decorum" old lessons die hard. His form of being excited or interested is just very subdued, Noah is always first to notice and will push Perseus into trying something.
I wanted to say that Noah is "La la la la" and Perseus is "Ok ok ok ok" but I failed to clarify that they're both cousins, related by their great-grandparents. This isn't something I threw in, this is relevant to the plot and how they meet each other
one last fun fact abt these two: they're technically legacy characters based off my other hp ocs who are like, great-grand uncle and aunts to these two.
its a nightmare, its insanity, but its very funny to me

DOLA BIRTHDAY???
what is she doing for her birthday? 💕
oml that gif is you and her fr ;w; and yes it is her birthday!! nov 19, my lil meow meow is a scorpio >w<
Thinking about what she does for her bday is a little tough bc she’s got two perspectives depending on which version of her is being asked.
If it’s Genshin!Dola, who in this case is just very happy to be in Mondstadt for her birthday again… She’d probably be spending the day cooking and baking her own food for her own little celebration? A mix of Fontainian and Mondstadter cuisine, and Adelinde would not be allowed to help her.
All her close friends are invited, so pretty much the most of the adult Mond roster that she grew up with—so that’s Diluc (ofc), Kaeya, Jean (+ Barbara), and Eula? Basically the nobles, then she can’t forget Lisa (who is bordering on being an auntie for her) and since she kinda comes as a package with Kaeya, Jean, and Lisa, Klee is there too.
(There are of course letters sent by friends she’s made during her travels over the years. One from Wrio and Sigewinne, some from a funeral parlor in Liyue and a law consultancy, perhaps a letter from the pharmacist, and of course, a letter and present from a certain man from Snezhnaya that Dola has to stop Diluc with burning.)
Very small gathering at first, then slowly expands the longer she’s in Mond and the more she befriends people. She’s just happy to be able to do this again with all her friends! Ofc she had celebrations with Wrio and some of the other Fontaine cast but it’s different when you grew up with these guys, you know?
(And the end of the day she’s exhausted from cooking and hosting and cleaning, so it’s either Diluc just focuses on making her feel good in bed or they don’t even do anything spicy and he just treats her to the nicest massage ever with his very strong hot hands :3 Cuddles after ofc, no matter what ends up happening)
If it’s OM!Dola she’s be much more laid back about her birthday, she’s had so many after all. It’s just a lazy day in, work completely forgotten, and there’s an equal chance of it just being her two beloveds being her company all day (which probably leads to, ahem. Some non-stop fun everywhere, all throughout her apartment) but if the brothers + angels pay her a visit it’s basically just all of them hanging out while Dola pays for all the takeout they get.
It only devolves into a mess when it’s time to open gifts. Everyone gets competitive. Levi and Asmo especially, since they consider themselves closest to Dola after Satan.
Idk if this was answered the way you wanted it to be but shdjsjs it was fun to think about! Thank you for asking ;w;
#mydiluc#i sure hope this is as coherent ss it seems to be to me bc my sleeptime meds have kicked in alrrady shdjsjs#are yall not tired of hearing about dola yet shsjshs i sure hope not#3 years in and i’m still not tired of talking sbout herrr#dolasach#gods i love my little guy sooo much

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners
I typically am not someone who enjoys any kind of fighting anime or the cyberpunk genre. In fact, until this piece, I had no idea that cyberpunk was a genre. But I have heard of this piece before this class, but never had any interest in watching it. In fact, I was pretty disappointed when it was selected as our class choice. But I was pleasantly surprised by this anime, I actually ended up watching the whole thing (because I am sick and have nothing else to do) and I ended up enjoying it.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a story about a society that is so messed up that it fails basically everyone in it: everything is heavily dictated by money, you cannot trust anyone, and the only way to escape it is to go to another celestial body (which also requires money). It follows David Martinez, a street boy who attends a preppy school but doesn't fit in, and his adventures after he acquires a military grade piece of cyberwear.
One theme that I want to touch on that is very noticeable within the first few episodes is the idea of money, and a society so overrun by it, that it no longer cares about it's citizens. David's mother slaves away at her job to make sure that he is able to attend the best school possible, because she fears that if he doesn't, he is just going to end up like her, not having enough money to run their washing machine. However, we see that he doesn't fit in at this school, and he is an outsider because he is poor and doesn't have the same posh, stuck up attitude as all of the other kids. This comes in on a later theme. But, the whole slaving away to pay for his schooling is sad enough, but when they get into the car accident, as he is crying for help for them, the medical team walks up, scans them, sees that they are not a member of their specific insurance plan, and then leaves them there to die. And when a rinky-dink hospital takes them in and his mother ends up dying, instead of condolences, David, now an orphan, is bombarded with funeral packages, listing the different costs of funeral services. I think this is a sad commentary on the prioritization that money has in our world today.
Another major thing I wanted to talk about was David being constantly outcasted by his peers. I think that the constant bullying and the fact that he was treated as lesser than, really developed his personality into one that fights hard to be not just equal but "built different". I think that his body did have an unusual ability to support the cyber wear, but he went way too far beyond his limits, even after his friends told him it was too much, and after watching Maine die because of it. But I think that ties into this idea of knowing and acknowledging your own limits. The same thing could have been said for Maine. If either of them were simply willing to recognize when they reached their capacity, and either removed the cyber wear or stopped using it like their friends advised them to, then they could have likely remained alive. I think that having the ability to recognize your own limits and weaknesses is actually a very important strength, and it was very sad to see David losing it in his last moments.
Those were the two main things that I wanted to talk about, but I also thought the idea of going to the moon to escape how horrible reality on Earth is, is very reminiscent of another anime we watched in this class (a place further than the universe). I thought it was very interesting as well, because we see that the cyberpunk universe is also completely dictated by money, with those having money being the people in power and those without always getting the short end of the stick. Lucy's dream reminded me a lot of that idea of emancipation from capitalism.
But yeah, I liked this anime. I will admit, I enjoyed the first 4 episodes significantly more than I enjoyed the last 6, only because it started to feel a little too basic for my tastes, and I enjoyed the deeper storyline of the first few episodes of this show. It actually reminded me a lot of Dorohedoro, another anime on Netflix, but I will admit, I thought that one was executed better from start to finish. But I thought the characters were pretty cool and I really enjoyed the piece overall. It was a very interesting watch and although by no means would I rate it a masterpiece, it was pretty good and I'm glad I have finally watched it so I can engage in the exchange of cultural capital with it now.

Cremation and Burial Options
Choosing between cremation and burial is a personal decision, and Brisbane funeral parlours provide support for both options. Cremation is often considered an affordable and eco-friendly option, while burial allows for a permanent resting place. Many funeral parlours offer complete packages that include the necessary arrangements, legal documentation, and assistance in selecting an appropriate memorial site.
Grief Support and Counselling
Funeral parlours in Brisbane understand the emotional challenges families face, and many provide grief support and counselling services. These services help family members process their grief in a safe environment, offering support groups, one-on-one counselling, and resources to aid emotional healing. The Importance of Personalised Services
Personalising a funeral service allows families to honour their loved one’s unique personality, passions, and achievements. Here are a few ways Brisbane funeral parlours can help personalise the farewell ceremony:
Memory Displays: Many families find comfort in displaying photographs, awards, and memorabilia that reflect their loved one’s life. Funeral parlours can help families set up these displays to celebrate and remember the deceased.
Customised Music and Media: Music plays a significant role in evoking memories and emotions. Funeral parlours often allow families to select meaningful songs, poems, or even create video tributes as part of the service.
Unique Venues: For families wanting to hold the service outside of a traditional chapel, some Brisbane funeral parlours offer flexibility in venue selection. Whether in a favourite park, beach, or family home, choosing a meaningful setting enhances the significance of the ceremony.
Choosing the Right Funeral Parlour in Brisbane
Selecting a funeral parlour is a personal decision. To make the process easier, consider the following factors:
Reputation and Reviews
When searching for a reliable funeral parlour in Brisbane, start by researching online reviews and testimonials. Recommendations from friends and family members can also provide valuable insights. A funeral parlour with a strong reputation for compassion, professionalism, and excellent service can ease the burden during a difficult time.
Services and Packages
Different funeral parlours offer a variety of service packages, from basic arrangements to more comprehensive options. It's important to compare offerings to determine which services best suit the family’s needs and budget. Consider asking for an itemised list of costs to ensure transparency and help with budgeting.
Experienced Staff and Support
Experienced staff play a crucial role in providing respectful and efficient service. Many funeral parlours in Brisbane have trained professionals who are sensitive to family needs, guiding them through the legal and logistical steps with empathy and respect. Staff should also be prepared to assist with any cultural or religious customs important to the family.
