the thing about the benedetta movie is that you could make the argument that a number of the events that transpired in her life parallel the life of Jesus (trying to suck on Mary's breast, dying and coming back to life, that girl who killed herself after trying to expose benedetta, bartolomea betraying her and being revealed through an act of intimacy, etc) and respectfully these live in my head rent free but also they should have committed to the bit more and drive home the point of "is she actually the second coming of Christ"

the man on the right is peripherally related to fitaly stuff though he doesnt really make an appearance in the main course of events. I have also forgotten his name lol. lucia was involved with him semi briefly when she was a teenager; he promised her marriage down the line in exchange for sexual favors. eventually word got around to her that he already had a wife and child at home (and that he had no intention of leaving them for lucia) which brought things to a rather devastating end for her.

lucia’s mother bartolomea is on the left. she is every bit as sneaky and sly and clever as lucia THINKS she is. she’s taken advantage of civil unrest to forge her own backstory, which even her own daughter parrots as the truth. they are extremely alike in their coloring and she probably resembled lucia fairly closely when she was younger.

Tuscany in the 17th century: As the plague ravages the country, Benedetta Carlini enters the convent in Pescia as a novice. After 18 years in the convent, while playing the role of the Virgin Mary in a play, she has a vision that Jesus is calling her. One day, the peasant girl Bartolomea, who has been abused by her father, seeks refuge in the convent. Benedetta is given the task of accompanying Bartolomea's integration into convent life. That evening, Bartolomea kisses Benedetta.

Benedetta continues to have nightly visions in which Jesus appears to her. After a vision that she has been captured by a gang and that a man she believes to be Jesus has prevented her from being raped, she falls seriously ill. The abbess entrusts Bartolomea with the care of the sick. After a vision in which Christ asks her to touch his hand, she wakes up the next morning with stigmata on her hands and feet. Some believe that she inflicted the wounds herself. Nevertheless, she has a reputation as a mystic and is elected abbess of the monastery.

However, she has a lesbian relationship with her fellow sister Bartolomea and is also accused of blasphemy because of the visions.

é muito fácil se acostumar a querer tudo para agora, por isso é preciso entender a necessidade de ser gradativo. mesmo que se considere paciente, perceber que tudo ao redor nos impele a sentir que logo o jantar deva ser servido, uma mensagem deva ser respondida, um amor deva surgir...

logo depois da última nota, como se tivesse sido diretamente impelida, a hora da verdade chegou, estive tempos idealizando um romance com o v., que ergueu o último castelinho junto comigo, digo isso porque ele definitivamente dava sinais de complacência, me dizia coisas tão únicas que o achei perfeito. mas como ele nunca foi direto e manteve uma certa inconstância nas suas maneiras, eu nunca o considerei como coisa certa, a pesar de querer. em mais uma das muitas perguntas diretas que fiz, e que se tornou a última, ele finalmente desceu do muro entre querer e não querer. agora parece bobo, mas naquela hora meu coração doeu tanto que se minha cabeça doeu por chorar eu nem percebi. as explicações não foram mirabolantes, foi concisa, religião. depois de tudo que vivi e penso sobre, também não o quero nesses termos, não era pra ser, e tudo bem. só percebo o quanto foi cruel da parte dele, alimentar algo que não vai sustentar, e ainda me dizer que demonstrou interesse porque tenho tantas características boas que ele não resistiu. fim desse castelinho, foi em um domingo, acho, de noite saí para pedalar, a cabeça à deriva, o coração fervilhando um pouquinho, depois emendei um vôlei de areia, me sentindo a guarda de um mistério, ninguém ali sabia que no mesmo dia meu coração havia se quebrado em vários pedacinhos.

mas é realmente preciso seguir os passinhos de tartaruga, a vida pode ser uma novela, trabalhar é bom, distrai de tudo e agrega algumas narrativas. em uma saída adiantada por ausência massiva de alunos em plena segunda-feira (talvez um reflexo do fim das eleições no dia anterior) eu chamei um uber, na sala dos professores olhei para o espelho sem acreditar, era "jamerson" o nome do motorista, nunca eu esqueceria do nome, era pai do daniel, o primeiro caos. ele não cancelou, desci as escadas, entrei no carro e não esperei, com jeitinho comecei a falar e tivemos talvez a melhor conversa que tivemos alguma vez na vida, me despedi do ex sogro com a sensação de atemporalidade e comédia, que divertido da parte do roteirista, tudo me parece interligado e de certa forma filmado. entrei no bartolomea com sensação de nostalgia, nunca irei perder isso, torci pra minha irmã e alimentei o que me alimenta, a felicidade dela.

enfim, tenho sentido que as abobrinhas estão livres para serem pensadas e desejadas, mas cansei de algumas delas, tenho escolhido o seguro cada vez mais e esperado cada vez menos por uma resposta divina. quero me tornar analógica, da época das cartas, selos e cartões postais. cada vez mais sentir a vida fora das telas e ser mais gradativa. ir contra a lógica do mundo parece impossível, mas é um bom lugar mental. tenho pensado muitas coisas, tenho vivido com calma e pensado sobre como estar vivo é incrível, desafiante e difícil. é preciso desacelerar é seguir passinhos de tartaruga.

Carriera di Galileo Galilei 1° parte

Questo scienziato anche se non fiorentino, con i suoi studi e le sue scoperte ha dato fama alla nostra città. Galileo, venne alla luce a Pisa nel 1564, era figlio di Vincenzo Galilei e di Giulia Ammannati. Suo padre Vincenzo era musicista e teorico della musica, commerciante per arricchire le entrate familiari. Giunto Galileo all'età scolare, il padre cercò di inserirlo nella lista dei giovani toscani accolti gratuitamente in un convitto pisano. Ma il tentativo non andò a buon fine. Venne ospitato senza spesa da un amico del padre tale Muzio Tebaldi doganiere in Pisa. Era tanto introdotto nella famiglia da farsene carico quando Vincenzo era via per lavoro. In casa Tebaldi il giovane Galileo conobbe una sua cugina Bartolomea Ammannati la quale si occupava della casa essendo Muzio rimasto vedovo. Malgrado la differenza di età nel 1578 Muzio e Bartolomea si sposarono per mettere fine alle dicerie che giravano sulla giovane cugina che creavano imbarazzo alla famiglia Galilei.

Il giovane iniziò i suoi studi a Firenze sotto la guida del padre, in seguito venne istruito da un maestro di didattica (metodo argomentativo della filosofia). Entrò nel convento di Santa Maria di Vallombrosana (abbazia Vallombrosana) vestendo fino a 14 anni l'abito di novizio.

Nel 1580 suo padre lo iscrisse all'università di Pisa alla facoltà di Medicina per prendere la laurea e diventare famoso come il suo antenato Galileo Bonaiuti, anche per guadagnare molti soldi e rimpinguare la cassa familiare. Ma il figlio ben presto fu attratto dalla matematica, sotto la giuda di Ostilio Ricci da Fermo conosciuto durante la permanenza a Firenze. Costui era un seguace della scuola di matematica di Niccolò Tartaglia, metodo usato per l'insegnamento della matematica presentandola come una scienza astratta ma un sistema per risolvere i problemi della meccanica e le tecniche ingegneristiche. Gli studi del duo Ricci - Tartaglia seguivano la tradizione degli studi del matematico siceliota Archimede. Il maestro insegnò a Galileo l'importanza dell'osservazione dei dati e la pragmaticità della  ricerca scientifica. Sembra ma non ci sono prove che, durante gli studi pisani, abbia seguito le lezioni di fisica dell'aristotelico Francesco Buonamici. Dopo pochi anni il giovane cessò gli studi di medicina, si trasferì a Firenze, approfondendo gli studi di meccanica e idraulica. Nel 1586  risolse il problema della Corona di Gerione inventando uno strumento per la determinazione idrostatica del peso specifico dei corpi, scoprendo che la corona era un falso.

Gli insegnamenti del Ricci e gli studi di Archimede, gli servirono negli studi sul centro di gravità dei solidi. Durante l'insegnamento a Pisa fece una importante scoperta relativa all'oscillazione del pendolo.: l' "isocronismo" (dal greco isos - uguale + chronos = Tempo). La tradizione vuole che Galileo, mentre si trovava nel Duomo di Pisa ad assistere ad una messa, si mettesse ad osservare un lampadario oscillante. Con un metodo empireo, mise a confronto i battiti del cuore con le oscillazioni del lampadario, appurando che le oscillazioni avevano la stessa durata, anche quando diminuivano di ampiezza. Per avere regolari entrate economiche, cominciò a dare ripetizioni di matematica durante la sua permanenza a Firenze e a Siena. Si recò a Roma per farsi raccomandare per poter accedere allo Studio di Bologna dal famoso matematico del suo tempo Cristoph Clavius, ma malgrado questo appoggio, non venne scelto. La  cattedra di matematica fu assegnata al padovano Giovanni Antonio Magini. Approfittando della conoscenza con l'influente matematico Guidobaldo del Monte e del fratello Cardinale Francesco Maria del Monte, venne presentato al Granduca Ferdinando 1° de Medici, il quale lo prese sotto la sua protezione. Grazie a lui ebbe un contratto triennale all'Università pisana, per la cattedra di matematica.
