One of my favorite moments in the Barbie movie was Ken's final big scene where he's finally voicing his self-hatred and all the other Ken's start shouting positive affirmations. The emotional connection that the Kens made helped create the space of vurnerability and support where they COULD be Ken and could be okay with it...

I loved how it other men's support did more for Ken than Barbie could offer.

Guys guys guys… in the Barbie trailer when Barbie said “why are all these people looking at me?” And Ken responds with “They’re also looking at me” because he’s finally being noticed, and not being shadowed by Barbie. It’s like the first taste he has of being Barbie AND Ken as an equal duo! Has this been said before? Am I late to the game? I dunno, I’m so excited for this movie

Why fear aging?

Seeing people screek back in fear for a filter for older age has me curious.

When I see laugh lines on a older person, I think of my grandma.

I think of the lines on her face caused by smiles. I think of the people and things that made her happy enough to smile. The people that made her happy enough that its forever etched I'm her face.

And I like to think I'm one of those people that will be forever on her face. That I was one of the people in her life that it would be ever present on her face. That I made her smile and laugh. And that her past joys would show forever.
