aa well okay truth is that i learn kpop choreography even though i'm not super into kpop anymore (never been in the fandom just like some of the music) cos they're easy to find tutorials too and its a decent bit of cardio, but i have to do it with the curtains closed. and im sure its like,,, old comments from my mum in my brain. but i know even if i look terrible when i dance it doesn't matter because i'm on my own in my room just doing it for fun and to stay a bit fitter.

Hi, hello! Um. I am very obviously not at all photogenic. Seriously, all the rest of you are gorgeous and um. Yeah. Anyway. I’m Manda, I’m 32, and I’m probably the most boring person on this entire planet of Earth. I’ve lived my entire life in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where I scrape by as a pet sitter and stable worker. As you can tell, my pets are very important to me. That’s my horse, Bara, in the first photo, and two of my many many cats, Tiger (tabby) and Luna (black) in the second.

I have been on board this ship since BoFA came out and Bard and Thranduil shared screen space for the first time. I used to pretend to be a writer (you can find my fic here or on AO3 under the name Kholran), but I’ve had a bit of a rough year, including losses of my two oldest cats, one in January and one in May, so unfortunately my creativity and desire to write have pretty much disappeared. I feel pretty terrible about that, since I wasn’t finished with anything I had started and had a lot planned out. So I do hope that I’ll eventually get my inspiration back. Because I do still really love this ship and all the awesome people on it.

And there are a lot of you. So much talent here, in both writing and art, that I don’t even know where to start with favourites. All of you. All of you are my favourites. Every single person that has ever written or drawn for this ship is awesome and my favourite. And in addition to being super boring, I’m also the most socially awkward potato in the world, but but all of you are more than welcome to come and chat with me about anything, at any time. Tell me about your day or your pets or the episode of that show you just watched that you really need to talk about with someone. In the words of Bilbo Baggins, tea is at four, and don’t bother knocking.

this fandom is so eloquent and then there’s me who couldn’t manage a proper about me page since i made an account :’D anyhow onto the point i’m bangnine, an eastern european twenty-something illustration student currently living in the uk.

tolkien had been part of my life pretty much since i was 5, but i only discovered this ship after watching botfa. ever since i had a soft spot for it not in small part because of the amazing fandom (so much great art, fic and edits, and so little drama:). lately i haven’t been very active due to some real life issues, and my current main obsession, black sails, but when i am, i draw fanart (and when i don’t, i procrastinate on my sideblog come talk to me).

now onto the cheez: thank you @barduil for organizing all these lovely events, @northerntrash for writing some of my favourite barduil fics and being an all around lovely person, and @allfatherthor for writing an amazing fic for me for the previous barduil gift exchange (i so owe you a lengthy thank you comment for it 💙💙💙), if you guys haven’t read it yet do it now: The Wounds We Share

hello! I didn’t get the chance to participate in the Barduil fandom meetup last time around, so here I am! as it turns out, I did in fact post about myself last year. oops! thanks to @barduil for constantly bringing us all together! 

my name is megan, I’m a 26-year-old lab tech(!!!) and I live in New England with my two cats, Willow and Astrid. I’m introverted, ace, and I love to write fiction for this little fandom of ours!

It’s the Barduil Fandom Meet-up today and I’m excited! I don’t take any good selfies whatsoever, nor do I keep them to post, so this is all I have to offer.

Anyway, I’m Max. I’m a pink-haired, plant-loving twenty-one year-old from Melbourne, Australia (I don’t know of any other aussies in this fandom, but you should totally speak up if you’re out there!). Some of you might remember me as queerteddy from back in the day, or else know me as oliverdalstonbrowning on ao3, where I created the whole Phosphenes Fiasco.

I started shipping barduil after I saw botfa for the second time and I’ve never left the trash can since. I’ve made so many wonderful friends thanks to this fandom, one of whom is now a best friend in real life. I would never have met @gayyholtzmann if it wasn’t for barduil and, even though she left us, I still love her. I also never would have achieved a 300-and-counting snapstreak with @barduil if we weren’t both each other’s most loyal enablers. There are some fics that just wouldn’t have made it without Bea’s constant stream of encouragement, and for that I will always be grateful.

My favourite fics are Between the Pines by @northerntrash and Somewhere Only We Know by @barduil

When I’m not writing my (awesome) fics, I’m usually riding my bike, watching films, working, or traipsing around like a lost child. You can see my adventures on Instagram, or listen to my day-to-day complaining on Twitter.

okay well, today is the Barduil Fandom Meetup, so let’s do this again!

Some of you might know me from back when I had a barduil blog called breathingbarduil, then acebarduil! but I’m going to introduce myself a little anyway :3

My name’s Bérénice, and I was born on November 9th in Brussels, where I still live! I’m studying French and English language and literature this year. I have a younger sister named Eléonore who has to endure my obsession with Barduil, and three cats–Eliott, Liam and Gabriel (there are some pics of them on my Instagram). Ah and I love baking, and (cosplaying) Bard!!

I’m also a fic writer, and I’m working on an original story as well. You can find me on AO3 as bereniceofdale, but I used to be breathingbarduil there, too. I’d be forever grateful if you could check out my stories, particularly Somewhere Only We Know! :D I’ve organized a few events for the ship (check out the Barduil Secret Santa, sign-ups are still open!) and contributed in other ways than writing but I’m just gonna share my stupid barduil powerpoint with you all!

Barduil is my very first OTP and I fell into it quite early (I fully accepted my fate on December 29, 2014, and created my Barduil blog a few days later) and, almost two years, 250k of fanfiction and a tattoo later, I’m still there and not planning on going anywhere. This is such a lovely fandom full of even lovelier people!

I’ve made amazing friends (who have to deal with neverending snaps of my cats, but I’m not really sorry. for those who don’t have me on snapchat, I’m terrible at keeping in touch but I think of you I swear ;v;), met amazing fellow shippers and started writing thanks to this ship, and I’m very, very thankful for all that. <3

hello fellow barduil shippers!

I’m late to the party, but it seems like lots of others are too, so I’ll try not to worry about it much :)

my name is megan. I’m 25 and ace. I work graveyard shifts as a vet tech and moonlight writing short fiction (and recently, two unfinished novels). 

I had this ship dropped unceremoniously into my lap and I embraced it without hesitation. I haven’t been able to read anything else since! the writers in this fandom never cease to amaze me! I’ve been able to experience some of the most heartbreaking and (sometimes simultaneously) adorable moments thanks to you, fellow shippers! 

I would love to start writing fanfiction, but I’ve been experiencing some severe writer’s block lately.

I would love it if some of you could share some AU prompts with me! starting a story is the most difficult part, but I’ve found that a good prompt can spark an amazing story, and I’m so ready to get back into the flow.

I recently got an ask suggesting to organize another barduil fandom meetup, and since it’s been about a year and a half since the first one, many people who got into the ship later missed it, so... why not! :3

The concept is simple (and was all @kenaiskoda‘s idea!) - on September 17th, you’re all invited to post selfies (or something else if you’re not comfortable with posting pics of yourself) in the ‘barduil fandom meetup’ tag, and talk about yourself (as much as you want!)

You’re also welcome to share your headcanons, tell us about how you got into barduil, what are your favourite fics/fanarts, promote whatever you’ve created for the ship... anything you want!

The point is to get to know each other a little better and share some love and positivity by reblogging/replying to/liking each other’s posts. (by the way, please, only one post per person!) The first meetup really was a lovely and successful event, so let’s do this again and have fun, shall we? :D
