LISTEN yes, that scene is heartbreaking and every second of it hurts my feelings, but can we appreciate for a minute mr. and mrs. anderson in the background because their reaction to elton is asweasqeqwqa
and we need to recognize stellar acting when we see one

I was tagged by @breval. Thank you, love! :D
Rules: Write your ten favourite female characters from ten different fandoms and tag ten different people.
I’m not sure if most of these fandoms exist on here, but here goes anyway for the first 10 that occurred to me:

Brooklyn (2015)
Brooklyn brings us back to moments in our lives that caused us heartache and great joy. Eilis Lacey (Saoirse Ronan) is a long way from home and all is new to her, the city is older than she is but through her young eyes, she does not yet see the exciting and adventurous life waiting for her.
Suffering from homesickness and facing her own challenges she breaks through this short dark moment and makes a life for herself. A life that changes her situation and one that would make her mother and sister proud. education, employment and falling in love has changed what she once knew and felt about the choices she has made.
throughout the film, we are shown her emotions from facial expression and the way in which Eilis gazes and goes into what seems to be a daydream. from what we know about her we can somewhat guess what she may be thinking. her tear-glazed eyes tell it all. Tony (Emory Cohen) is what keeps Eilis’ mind off things and gives her a chance to be happy and have someone to comfort her. Tony will then play an important part in the film.
So, all is going well and then like a fist to the gut, comes the most devastating news Rose (Fiona Glascott) Eilis’ sister has died. At this point in the film, we are back at square one. Lost. Again, her emotions are told in her eyes and we can tell there is a lump in her throat. A lot more takes place in the second half, we are taken back to Ireland where another story unfolds. Eilis faces more challenges and it's now up to her to make a choice between her new life that she has built or the old one she left behind and not forgetting her old love while she has possibly found a new one.
For a film set in the 1950s which tells a story of love it also incorporates migration mainly displaying people of Irish background. It does not stray away from its genre not for one moment. The use of costumes has played a vital role in keeping the viewer aware of the time period and what may have occurred during those times. Again, costumes have proved useful, as Eilis life changes so do her clothes and appearance. before leaving for America her clothes were average but having a new career it brings new clothes, clothes she may never be able to afford. When the use of sets is thrown into the mix it solidifies everything. We are not left wondering what dances looked like during the 1950s we given visuals within these visuals were also shown how young adults of that time behaved. What stood out was how the film used the dancehall and the other charterers. The boys would choose who they danced with and if the girls were lucky it would be someone they fancied.
Tony is watching Eilis
in the still above we witness Tony choosing Eilis and it is at this point he has chosen her forever. Out of all the girls there that were not picked for a dance and ones that were not, why did he picker? What was it about here? Even though Tony said he likes Irish girls there were many there and many had come before
At the start Eilis has a lot on her plate but on the other hand Tony has everything in order in his life, when Eilis returned home after her sister death it was hard watching Tony miss her and all at the same times, she was considering her future and where she belongs. No just this but who she loves. During her friend’s wedding, we can clearly see who she truly longs for, the retaliation seems to shock her into snapping out if her out of what seems to be a rushed decision of what her life is meant to be. The use of the wedding, the zooming on of Eilis' faces and the blurring of the bride were key also having Jim Farrell (Domhnall Gleeson) sitting next to her smiling and then having Eilis’ facial expression change told us then who she belonged to.
This film is played with emotion and the mind. Having wanted Eilis to have a good life and find love then one day settle down was the main idea, however the thought of Mary Lacey (Jane Brennan) her mother being left all alone was heartache enough. And thinking that Tony would lose the love of life so suddenly was enough to put a lump in a throat. With all, it's clear to see that Eilis was fighting for a better life she did not want to end up like the girls in her town or worse miss a once in a lifetime opportunity. It is understandable that no one wants to work so hard only to end up where they started. All she wanted was the same opportunity but in Ireland.
Overall a very heartwarming film it shows that patience and time change all.

The Complete Detail Of Brooklyn (2015) Name Brooklyn (2015) Storyline In late 1951, Eilis Lacey, a young Irish girl, emigrates to Brooklyn. Sponsored by Father Flood, a priest from her native town Enniscorthy, she is assured to find a full-time job there. But the early days are tough, seasickness being soon replaced by loneliness and homesickness, two feelings all the more acutely felt by Eilis for having had to leave behind her widowed mother and her dear sister Rose. She nevertheless little by little manages to find her footing by adapting to her job as a salesgirl, by studying bookkeeping at Brooklyn College as well as with a little help from both Father Flood and Mrs. Kehoe, the owner of the boarding school she now lives in. And not only does graduation follow but love shows its face in Tony, an Italian-American plumber, full of adoration and respect for her. They end up marrying, although keeping the thing secret. It is at that point that tragedy strikes inciting Eilis to return to Enniscorthy to support her mother morally. Detail Of Brooklyn (2015) Director John Crowley Writer

The West End production of Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, based on the early life and career of legendary singer songwriter Carole King, will complete its run at the Aldwych Theatre on 5 August 2017.
The UK tour of Beautiful – The Carole King Musical will open in Bradford on 9 September 2017 and continues in Plymouth, Southampton, Norwich, Southend, Nottingham, Belfast, Cardiff, Birmingham, Newcastle, Hull, Edinburgh, Manchester, Dublin, Aberdeen, Sheffield, Glasgow, Milton Keynes, Woking, Sunderland, Bristol, Leeds, Stoke on Trent, Liverpool and Oxford, with all venues currently on sale.
Beautiful – The Carole King Musical received its Broadway premiere in January 2014 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre where it continues to play to packed houses. The London premiere was in February 2015 and a US tour began later that year. An Australian production will open in Sydney in September this year.
During its two and a half year run in the West End, the Olivier, Tony and Grammy award-winning show had two visits from Carole King, when on both occasions she surprised the cast and audience at the curtain call. Both times she was greeted with a standing ovation at the Aldwych Theatre as she took to the stage to sing her classic hit You’ve Got A Friend. Joining King for London’s opening night were fellow composers Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, whose story is also told as part of Beautiful – The Carole King Musical.
Beautiful – The Carole King Musical is the untold story of her journey from school girl to superstar; from her relationship with husband and songwriting partner Gerry Goffin, their close friendship and playful rivalry with fellow songwriting duo Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, to her remarkable rise to stardom. Along the way, she became one of the most successful solo acts in music history, and wrote the soundtrack to a generation. Beautiful – The Carole King Musical features the Carole King classics including So Far Away, It Might as Well Rain Until September, Take Good Care of my Baby, Will You Love Me Tomorrow, Up on the Roof, Locomotion, One Fine Day, You’ve Got a Friend, (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman and I Feel the Earth Move, along with hits from songwriters Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil like You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling, On Broadway and Uptown.
The West End cast comprises Cassidy Janson in the title role, Matthew Seadon-Young as King’s husband and songwriting partner Gerry Goffin, Stephanie McKeon as songwriter Cynthia Weil, Ian McIntosh as song-writer Barry Mann, Joseph Prouse as music publisher and producer Donnie Kirshner and Barbara Drennan as King’s mother Genie Klein.
They are joined by Gavin Alex, Georgie Ashford, Koko Basigara, Tsemaye Bob-Egbe, Ashford Campbell, Treyc Cohen, Natasha Cottriall, Michael Duke, Matthew Gonsalves, Jammy Kasongo, Leigh Lothian and Earl R. Perkins who play iconic musical performers and band members of the era and swings Derek Aidoo, Rosie Heath, Dominic Hodson, Emma Louise Jones, Jessica Joslin, Vicki Manser, David O’Mahony and Jaime Tait.
Book is by Douglas McGrath with words and music by Gerry Goffin, Carole King, Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil. The production is directed by Marc Bruni with choreography is by Josh Prince, set designs by Derek McLane, costume designs by Alejo Vietti, lighting by Peter Kaczorowski and sound by Brian Ronan. Orchestrations and Music Arrangements are by Steve Sidwell. Producers are Paul Blake, Sony/ATV Music Publishing, Jeffrey A. Sine, Richard A. Smith, Mike Bosner, Harriet N. One fine day . . . When I head Beautiful was going to be closing in the West End it made me feel incredibly sad in all honesty. I first saw the show in October 2016 and then on my following two trips to London could not resist seeing it again and again. I then made a decision that I just had to go for closing night, making it the fourth time of seeing this wonderful show that has certainly changed my outlook on different aspects of life. Yes, that may seem like a very bold statement but it got me into Tapestry by Carole King which I now must have listened to hundreds of times and that is an album that really is incredible.
This was therefore the fourth time that I had the pleasure of seeing the show, you can find my other reviews here Review 1, Review 3, I for some reason did not review it the second time I saw it. I have grown to love it each more after every viewing, then constantly listening to the soundtrack.
When heading into the Theatre it was a mix of sadness and excitement for seeing it again. Knowing it would be the final show in the West End. I just had to see Cassidy Janson as Carole King again and she has quickly become one of my favourite performers. She is just amazing in the role and I have to say she was extra amazing on closing night, not holding back the tears at times it really was an honour to see such an incredible performance. Natural Woman really was on another level, I find it to be not only a very emotional song to begin with but a very emotional and heartbreaking moment in the show. She didn’t want to sing it, those were Gerry’s word everything else was her own when putting Tapestry together. Honestly the emotion put into her performance on Saturday night really was something else, the rest of the cast as well everyone nailed it and went for it even more, outstanding!
The audience was brilliant in all honesty and really did show the cast just how much we love them all. Each song applauded and each moment having different reactions, even some clapping and cheering for certain lines which was just brilliant. I have something else that I just need to mention meeting Cassidy Janson’s Mam who was sat two seats along from me, she was just lovely. A total bonus to add to an already special night!
The story of the show is Carole King’s story, how she quickly started out as a songwriter and composer. Meeting and falling in love with Gerry Goffin, getting married having children whilst still managing to write the songs with him. But then how she managed to break free and do it all on her own and the writing of the incredible Tapestry. It also shows the friendship and competitive nature with friends Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, which really has some lovely moments.
I am sure you will be left surprised at how many songs Carole King was involved in as the show also takes you on a journey through many of the most popular songs from the 60s and 70s. With more amazing performers taking on different roles to sing and perform those songs. It is all done on a very big scale with plenty of lights and costume changes thought out the show, which also helps to show the changing times.
It does make me very sad that the next time I visit London that Beautiful will be no longer on in the West End. I already have tickets for the first UK Tour when it comes to Newcastle in November, I will probably get tickets for Sunderland in March as well. So I guess that is good news for people who cannot make it to London for the Theatre you can catch the tour on the road from September 2017 until June 2018. I really do recommend this show it has a very special place in my heart.

Last night (6 March 2017) in front of a sell-out performance, Carole King surprised the cast and audience when she made her second visit to see the West End production of Beautiful – The Carole King Musical. King was greeted with a standing ovation at the Aldwych Theatre as she took to the stage at the curtain call to congratulate the cast. Following her surprise appearance, she continued on stage by singing her classic hit You’ve Got A Friend in front of a thrilled crowd. King said: “I was so excited to surprise the cast, they genuinely had no idea, nobody knew! CJ (Cassidy Janson who plays King in the musical) literally brought me to tears this evening with her performance of Natural Woman. She was who I was, she felt what I felt. She was me!”
