Hi, I had a devastating idea about Ifrit that I need to put into words. Not at all projecting on him, no…..not at all….

It’s a well-known fact that Ifrit rarely ever gets into arguments. He is praised for his self control, his easy temper, the way he always seems to be able to diffuse tension, eager to make compromises, never holding grudges for long.

What they don’t know is that Ifrit doesn’t get into arguments because he’s terrified.

Because in his mind festers the deeply rooted belief that an argument with someone would lead to them cutting him off forever, purging the fire ghoul from their life immediately.

A little voice, the rational one that never can quite make herself loud enough no matter how much it tries, whispers that it’s bullshit, that Ifrit would never even think to do that himself, sever his bond with someone simply because of a little fight, so why would anyone ? But it’s different when it’s him.

Because Ifrit loves too hard, too much, accepts things that he shouldn’t - he’s been told time and times again, Zephyr and Aether especially are concerned by this particular tendency of his.

So of course, he wouldn’t let a fight put an end to a relationship - no matter it’s kind.

But that doesn’t mean others should act the same way, should endure what he willingly endures. So maybe, maybe, yes, people would delete him from their lives if Ifrit dared to express too strong an opinion, or raise his voice a little. And maybe they’d be right to do so.

And why would they ever come back ? What about Ifrit could urge them to think about it again, change their mind and open their arms to him once more ? For what reason could they ever what Ifrit back after leaving him behind ?

(One day, Zephyr catches Ifrit crying in the kitchen, hands shaking around a spilled cup of coffee. He crumbles in their arms like a poorly built sandcastle getting kicked by negligent passerbys, sobs rattling his whole frame.

« I’m afraid I love people more than they love me - that I would wither away without them, but they would barely notice if I were to disappear, and only feel a vague twinge of disappointment instead of the gaping hole they would leave in my chest if they weren’t part of my life anymore, » Ifrit confesses in Zephyr’s chest, voice and spirts broken almost beyond repair.

The air ghoul’s heart sinks as they hold their precious little flame, reassuring him the best they can, hoping to ward him off from the twisted lies of his own mind.)

There was somebody trying to get into Steve’s house.

Steve’s gut response was to grapple for his baseball bat, heart rate only slowing when he could feel the weight in his grasp. After two years of Lovecraftian abominations, it didn’t hurt to be careful.

The voice below did not sound like it had crawled from a black lagoon. It sounded distinctly annoyed and had a faint Glaswegian drawl buried under the vocal fry.

He opened the window and his prince tumbled in.

Billy was looking significantly worse for wear. It wasn’t the worst set of injuries he’d come to Steve with but it certainly wasn’t the best. His eyes had dark circles under them and there was an elongated cut splitting from his jawbone to the corner of his lip.

Steve did his best not to fuss, because Billy hated feeling babied, but he did gently dab antiseptic onto the cuts and offered Billy his bed. It wasn’t like Steve was exactly sleeping.

In response, Billy merely poked at the lovebite he’d left on Steve’s neck two nights prior and dragged him into bed.

Well, if his boyfriend insisted.

Secret boyfriend anyway.

Billy was scribbling away to his cousins in Glasgow while huddling in Steve’s arms for warmth and Steve had the urge to rip Neil Hargrove limb from limb.

He never told Billy that. Billy still knew regardless.

He leant over to press a kiss to a golden cheek and rolled his eyes when Billy loudly pretended to vomit before letting him.

They weren’t a perfect relationship by anyones definition. It was hard to think of a day where they weren’t fighting. But Billy still consumed him.

Tonight’s game was who would they want to play them in a film about their life. Steve’s choice was Tom Cruise because he had taste.

Billy wrinkled his nose before declaring Peter Capaldi

“WHO??????”

Apparently he was in a punk band in Scotland and now an actor and that was the only information Billy would let out regarding the matter.

Unless Steve would prefer to envision Billy as one of the Gallagher brothers, he said then wiggled his eyebrows seductively.

Ugh. Between Jonathan, Dustin and Chrissy Cunningham, there wasn’t a day that summer he’d managed to avoid What’s The Story Morning Glory. No more Gallaghers.

To change the godawful subject, Steve decided to do something impulsive.

“I love you”

Billy’s eyebrows shot up and his cheeks slowly started colouring scarlet. So Steve repeated it. Because he did.

He might have been the kind of age where he didn’t understand what real love was but Billy had been the closest Steve had gotten to feeling it. His kindness, his patience, his vulnerability. It was hard not to love.

Billy spent a while huffing and puffing before saying anything back. Then he did.

“I love you too. Dumbass.”

basically the only thought process I have is after failing to do family harmony they really just went “fuck it we ball” but ball as in murder.

JD is the leader of course but he’s way more laid back about it. Of course he is he can easily vent his frustrations now! He’s very protective of his baby brothers. Also he treats himself to nice things and his brothers love that for him. JD is the one who can hunt anyone down in a forest environment and the best tracker, Branch is second and his little protege.

Bruce and Floyd are the manipulators of the group one with attractiveness and the other with emotions.

Clay is the one who thinks out the traps and all possible ways it could go wrong. He, of course, manages the finances and finds their targets. He’s serious but also best at torture and having fun with it.

Branch is the Jack of all trades. He learned from the best after all! Master trap maker like clay while being a manipulator of both charm and emotions. Of course he’s a top notch tracker like his oldest brother too!

Hear me out… a manager who doodles on band-aids 😭

The band-aids Team Japan supplies their players are rather boring, so our lovely manager decides to spiffy them up a little bit.

It starts small. Hinata accidentally gets a paper cut from filling out forms so you take him to get it bandaged. You place the band-aid on him and he just stares.

Hinata 👉🏻😐🤨

“Why does my band-aid have a drawing of a cloud on it?” He asks

You shrug, “plain band-aids are boring, I thought I’d add something to them.” Not thinking it’s a big deal, you go back to your business as Hinata just stares at the band-aid.

“You-you drew this for me Yn?” He asks, bright globes staring practically into your soul.

“Well I mean- kinda? I did draw on several of them-”

It’s too late YN. Hinata runs into the main gym, screaming about how you personally drew a picture on his band-aid. Before you can clarify anything, you’ve got an entire situation on your hands.

“Hey I got a band-aid last week from you Yn and I didn’t have anything drawn on it!” Atsumu shouts at you

“That’s because YN doesn’t like you,” Sakusa remarks, walking past and heading to the locker room and Atsumu glares at the back of his head.

“YN can I have a special band-aid?” Bokuto whines

“Don’t be silly Bokuto, you need to hurt yourself first!” Yaku jokes as the gears in Bokuto’s brain began to turn

“Bokuto no! Yaku stop it!” You yell as Bokuto instantly deflates

“YN does drawing on the band-aid make them any less durable?” Ushijima questions

“No Wakatoshi, it doesn’t,” you sigh, palming your face at the mess your little art project has created.

“Of that is the case, May I request a volleyball on my future band-aid?” Ushijima inquires

You sigh again, throwing your hands up, “sure why not!”

“Oh so now your taking requests when you didn’t even bother to draw on mine!” Atsumu screams

“Uhh YN, maybe you should apologize to Bokuto,” Komori suggests as you look to see a deflated Bokuto sitting in the utility closet.

Maybe next time you might reconsider spicing up the band-aids 😅
