Hiiii you can call me Bearrie/Bearirin! I'm 24, love bears, sweets, reading and cozy games! I have been interested in gyaru since early middle school, but didn't get the courage to try it until now (ᵕ—ᴗ—) I'm very interested in this subculture and am always willing to learn!

I felt connected to gyaru because of the message behind it. Being gyaru is about being unapologetically yourself and going against the grain. I never fit into the boxes my family and those around me tried to put me in and gyaru let me know that I never had to. Even though I'm pretty early into my journey, I already feel more bold and confident when I do things that are gal ( ˶ˆᗜˆ˵ )

‧₊˚ ⋅fave substyles‧₊˚ ⋅

ᡣ𐭩Himekajiᡣ𐭩

Himekaji is a toned down version of the Hime style. As the name suggests, it is much more casual. The color palette includes pastels (especially pink, but blues are also seen!), white, and black(?). The makeup is dolly and cute, but still maintains gyaru makeup elements. For example, the stripe is still seen on the nose, although a bit softer than other substyles.

I love this style because I dress similarly to this already (mainly with a baby blue palette)! I think it is the easiest style for me to get into when starting out with gyaru. My biggest inspirations for this style is Lizzie Bee and Okarie!

౨ৎRoma౨ৎ

Roma gyaru, similar to the Himekaji substyle, is a more casual and toned down gyaru style. Unlike Himekaji, Roma has a more muted palette with colors like brown, beige, and pastels. It often features plaid, gingham, floral, and polka dot patterns. The makeup is very similar to Himekaji, but the hair is more toned down. While Himekaji follows the Hime gyaru style with big hair and accessories, Roma has limited accessories and softer waves and curls. It's a perfect fall style!

I love the concept and the almost cottagecore feel I get from this substyle! I unfortunately can't find many magazine scans for Roma :( One thing I don't like about this style is its lack of accessories compared to other subs. It's great for work or casual gal days, but I feel like it can look a bit plain. That may also be because I can't find a lot of other gals who style it. I'm excited to experiment with this style!

♡Banba♡

Banba is a combination of the words "barbie" and "Manba". It is a toned down and girlier version of Manba. I can't find too many outfits worn with this style, but the ones I have found tend to wear cowboy hats. Not too many people wear this style anymore, which is a shame since it's so pretty :(

This style in particular is something I love to look at, but am unsure if I would wear. It's so pretty and I love the glittery motifs in the makeup! I'm not sure how the make would suit my features, but it would be fun to try it out!
