3H: Hintay, Handa, Hope

Homily by Fr. Kevin

May isang helicopter, may apat na taong nakasakay: Ang piloto, ang pari, ang boyscout, at ang businessman. At habang nasa himpapawid sila ay nasira yung helicopter, pabagsak na to. At kamalas malasan nga naman e tatlo lang ang parachute.

Kinuha ng piloto yung isang parachute at tumalon na. Kinuha ng business man yung hawak ng boyscout, at tumalon na din. Nagkatinginn yung pari at yung boyscout. “Anak, kunin mo na yan. Bata ka pa, marami ka pang magagawa. Ako, handa na kong pumunta sa langit” sabi ng pari sa bata. Ngumiti yung bata at pinaliwanag sa pari na yung bag niya yung nakuha ng businessman at hindi yung parachute.

Panahon na naman ng Adbyento, na nanghulugan ng pagdating ni Cristo. Dumating, darating, at dumarating si Cristo sa buhay natin. (Ha? pano?)

Coming of Christ in History - Sa Old Covenant(testament) e nakasaad yung pagdating ni Jesus Christ, at ginawa ng mga tao ang tatlong H na yun. At ang mga propesiya na iyon ay napatunayan sa bagong tipn (new covenant).

Coming of Christ in Glory - ito e tumutukoy sa mangyayari, lalo na sa book of revelations. May darating na sakuna, kalamidad, at sinasaad dito na darating muli si Jesus in Glory. 

Coming of Christ in Mystery - Araw araw dumadating si Jesus sa mga puso natin sa pamamagitan ng mga taong nakpaligid satin. 

So anu ano ang dapat nating gawin sa pagdating ni Cristo? Tandaan natin ang 3H: Hintay, Handa, at Hope.

Hintay - Ito ay yung paghihintay sa pagdating muli ni Cristo. Kailan? Tignan ulit ang numbering sa taas.

Handa - Di natin alam kung kailan siya darating, pero alam natin na darating siya sa tamang panahon. Kaya kailangan nating maging handa. Paano nga ba magiging handa? Magmahalan, ihanda ang puso para madaling makapasok si Cristo. 

Hope - Sa kabila ng nakakatakot na mga prophecies sa book of revelation, binibbigyan pa rin tayo ng Diyos ng pag asa, pag asang may magliligtas sa atin. Binibigyan tayo ng pag asa sa buhay na walang hanggan. 

Kaya wag tayong matakot, may parachute na magliligtas sa atin.

Bamboo Organ Supports Pope Francis' Visit

  On this coming January 15, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, also known as Pope Francis, will visit the Philippines. Everyone is excited for his arrival as he’s known as people’s pope. It is said that the Pope will conduct masses in Quirino Grandstand, in the University of Sto. Tomas and in Tacloban.

The Pope will stay here in the Philippines for four days and is scheduled to depart the Philippines on January 19. Though The Bamboo Organ Church is nowhere near the places where the Pope is going to visit to, they still send their supports by Posting Pope Francis’ posters on their announcement boards and help give updates regarding his visits.
