It can often feel like you need a PhD in material science just to understand the textiles that appear on garment care labels. While natural fibres including wool and cotton are pretty easy to identify, synthetics such as polyester and viscose can be harder to decode.
Generally speaking, human-made materials fall into one of two categories: those derived from fossil fuels and those derived from chemically processed cellulose (the building block of plants).
Fossil fuel-based fibres
Polyester
Polyester is the most common fibre on the planet, making up over half of the overall fibre market. It is a type of plastic called polyethylene terephthalate or PET which is moulded into yarn then woven into a fabric.
Dr Georgia McCorkill, a fashion lecturer at RMIT, says fossil fuels are the basis of the chemicals that make PET, so from an environmental and sustainability standpoint, their origins are already problematic. Since plastic does not so much biodegrade as split into smaller and smaller pieces (it was only invented last century, so we can’t really know how long it will hang around), polyester is also problematic when it is washed, as it can shed microplastics into waterways and at the end of a garment’s life.
“In an ideal world [polyester] would exist in a closed-loop system where it would be perpetually melted down and reformed into new fabrics,” says McCorkill. “However the design, production and waste recovery systems required to make this a reality don’t exist.”
Recently, there has been a push towards recycled polyester – which uses plastic bottles as an input – instead of virgin resources. While recycled polyester has a lower carbon footprint than conventional polyester, it is not a perfect solution. Turning plastic bottles into new plastic bottles is more efficient than recycling them into polyester, and it can be done on a loop. Current methods for turning plastic into polyester at scale do not result in a material that can be recycled again post-use.
McCorkill says polyester is an extremely strong material and can be necessary in activewear, sportswear or outdoor gear. But, she says, “polyester can get very smelly over time and become unwearable”. This is because it clings to odour and stains, making them impossible to remove.
Nylon
Like polyester, nylon is also a plastic derived from fossil fuels but it is more expensive to make and therefore used less frequently. It makes up about 11% of the clothing fibre market. Since nylon is stretchier and stronger than polyester, it is often found in swimwear and yoga gear.
Manufacturing nylon releases nitrous oxide into the atmosphere, contributing to global heating, and because nylon is a plastic it won’t biodegrade. The founder of Cloth & Co, Caroline Poiner, suggests looking for recycled alternatives such as Econyl that are made with recovered waste products, including fishing lines and other waste pulled from the ocean.
Unlike recycled polyester, recycled nylon can be regenerated into new nylon more than once, provided it has not been blended with other fibre types.
Elastane
The other fossil fuel-based fibre you’ll often encounter on a garment care label is elastane (also called spandex or Lycra). It is commonly blended with other fibres to provide added stretch (it can expand and recover up to five times its own length).
This elasticity makes it similar to rubber. But while natural rubber or elastic is derived from trees, elastane is derived from polyurethane and will not biodegrade. While elastane’s capacity for stretch and recovery makes it very useful in athletic gear and underwear, when exposed to heat or too much strain, its elasticity will degrade over time.
Man-made cellulosic fibres
Viscose rayon is the umbrella term for fibres manufactured from cellulose, but as many fibres fall into this broad category, it can be very confusing. The list includes rayon, viscose, modal, lyocell, acetate, bamboo and cupro. Aside from cupro, which is made from cotton waste, all of these materials are derived from wood pulp.
Poiner warns that although bamboo and the like are often marketed on their eco credentials, it can be “comparable to synthetic fibres in its impact on the environment and also the health and wellbeing of workers."
Sourcing viscose rayon has historically been linked to deforestation, and even now the environmental not-for-profit Canopy estimates that of the 200m trees cut down each year to make viscose, at least half come from ancient or endangered forests. If you want to be sure these fabrics have been sustainably sourced, look for FSC or PEFC certifications.
The process of turning wood or cotton waste into a fabric “requires highly toxic chemicals in its production”, says Poiner, who notes some manufacturers choose factory sites where they can avoid strict health and safety regulations.
Less harmful cellulose fabrics are manufactured using a closed-loop system, that recovers and reuses toxic solvents. EcoVero and Tencel are types of lyocell, trademarked by fabric giant Lenzing, which are made using best practice pulp-sourcing and chemical management during the production process.
There are also exciting innovations in this space, with new types of viscose rayon made using agricultural, food or clothing waste as a source material instead of trees, however these are not yet widely available.

Essential Gear for Yoga: The Importance of Yoga Mats, Yoga Props, Yoga Cloth, and Yoga Bags
Tumblr media
Yoga Mats, Yoga Props, Yoga Cloth, and Yoga Bags are essential elements for anyone looking to enhance their yoga practice. Each item plays a unique role in ensuring comfort, effectiveness, and convenience in your sessions, whether you're a seasoned practitioner or just starting out.
Yoga Mats are perhaps the most fundamental piece of equipment in yoga practice. They provide the necessary cushioning and support to protect your joints and improve grip during poses. When choosing a yoga mats, it's crucial to consider factors like thickness, material, and texture. High-quality mats often use materials like natural rubber or TPE, which offer excellent traction and durability. Additionally, eco-friendly mats are becoming increasingly popular for those mindful of their environmental footprint. A good yoga mat will not only enhance your performance but also make your practice more enjoyable.
Complementing the yoga mat, yoga props are invaluable tools that help practitioners of all levels deepen their practice and maintain proper alignment. Common yoga props include blocks, straps, and bolsters. Yoga blocks offer support in poses that require additional stability, helping to prevent strain and injury. Yoga straps are used to improve flexibility and assist in reaching difficult positions, making stretches more accessible. Yoga bolsters provide extra cushioning and support, particularly in restorative poses. These props are designed to aid in achieving optimal alignment and comfort, making your practice safer and more effective.
Another important aspect of yoga practice is the yoga cloth you choose to wear. Yoga cloth is designed to be breathable, stretchy, and moisture-wicking, ensuring comfort and ease of movement during your sessions. Fabrics like cotton, bamboo, and technical blends are commonly used for yoga cloth, offering different benefits such as softness, flexibility, and quick-drying properties. Choosing the right yoga cloth can greatly impact your overall experience, allowing you to focus more on your practice and less on adjusting your attire.
Lastly, yoga bags are practical accessories that help keep your gear organized and easily transportable. A well-designed yoga bag can accommodate your yoga mat, yoga props, and personal items, making it simpler to transition from home practice to studio classes or outdoor sessions. Look for yoga bags with features like adjustable straps, ample storage pockets, and durable materials. A good yoga bag not only protects your equipment but also makes it convenient to carry everything you need for a fulfilling practice.
In summary, yoga mats, yoga props, yoga cloth, and yoga bags each contribute significantly to enhancing your yoga experience. Investing in quality equipment tailored to your needs will not only improve your practice but also make it more enjoyable and accessible. Whether you're setting up a home studio or preparing for a class, these essentials ensure that you have the support, comfort, and convenience needed for a successful yoga journey.

Elevate Your Practice: The Essential Role of Yoga Blocks
Yoga is a journey of self-discovery, a path toward inner peace, strength, and flexibility. While it's often associated with graceful poses and serene meditation, the reality is that yoga can be challenging, especially for beginners or those working through physical limitations. That's where yoga blocks come in. In this blog post, we'll explore the indispensable role of yoga blocks in enhancing your practice and deepening your connection with body and mind.
Tumblr media
Yoga blocks are simple yet powerful tools that can transform your yoga practice from good to great. Made from sturdy foam, cork, or bamboo, these lightweight props provide support, stability, and alignment assistance, helping you achieve proper form and alignment in a variety of poses.
One of the primary functions of yoga blocks is to bring the ground closer to you, making poses more accessible, especially for those with tight muscles or limited flexibility. For example, in standing poses like Triangle or Half Moon, placing a block under your hand can help lengthen the spine and create space in the body, allowing you to experience the full benefits of the pose without straining or overstretching.
Yoga blocks are also invaluable for deepening stretches and improving flexibility. By using blocks to elevate the floor in seated or lying postures, you can gradually increase your range of motion and release tension in tight muscles. Whether you're working on hip openers, backbends, or forward folds, yoga blocks provide the support you need to safely explore your edge and progress in your practice.
But perhaps the most underrated benefit of yoga blocks is their ability to cultivate mindfulness and body awareness. As you use blocks to support and stabilize your body in various poses, you become more attuned to your breath, sensations, and alignment, creating a deeper sense of presence and connection with each moment. This mindfulness not only enhances the quality of your practice but also carries over into your everyday life, helping you navigate challenges with grace and equanimity.
When choosing yoga blocks, it's essential to consider factors such as size, material, and density. Standard-sized blocks are versatile and suitable for most practitioners, while larger or smaller blocks may better accommodate individual needs or preferences. Cork blocks offer excellent grip and stability, while foam blocks are lightweight and budget-friendly. Ultimately, the best yoga blocks are the ones that feel comfortable and supportive for you.
Tumblr media
In conclusion, yoga blocks are more than just props; they're catalysts for transformation and growth on and off the mat. Whether you're a beginner seeking support or an experienced yogi looking to deepen your practice, incorporating yoga blocks into your routine can enhance your alignment, flexibility, and mindfulness, empowering you to reach new heights of health, happiness, and harmony. So why wait? Elevate your practice with yoga blocks today and unlock the full potential of your yoga journey.

How can I Beautify my Nails Naturally?
Introduction
Nails often serve as an understated canvas for self-expression and personal style. Proper nail care is not only about aesthetics but also essential for overall health. Natural approaches to nail beauty prioritize nourishing and strengthening the nails without resorting to harsh chemicals or invasive treatments.
Healthy Diet for Nail Health
Maintaining a balanced diet rich in essential nutrients is fundamental for healthy nails. Biotin, a B-vitamin, plays a crucial role in nail strength and growth. Incorporating biotin-rich foods such as eggs, nuts, and avocados into your diet can promote nail health. Additionally, protein sources like lean meats, legumes, and dairy products provide the building blocks necessary for strong, resilient nails. Omega-3 fatty acids found in fish, flaxseeds, and walnuts contribute to nail hydration and flexibility.
Proper Hydration
Hydration is key to maintaining supple and healthy nails. Adequate water intake ensures that nails remain hydrated from within. In addition to drinking water, applying moisturizing treatments directly to the nails and cuticles can prevent dryness and brittleness, promoting overall nail health.

Nail Strengthening Techniques
Avoiding harsh chemicals found in traditional nail products is essential for preserving nail integrity. Protective nail coatings such as nail hardeners can provide a barrier against damage and breakage. Natural oils like jojoba, argan, and coconut oil can penetrate the nail bed, nourishing and strengthening the nails from within.
Regular Nail Maintenance
Regular trimming and shaping are essential for maintaining nail health and preventing breakage. Using proper tools, such as sharp, clean nail clippers and emery boards, ensures a smooth and even finish without causing damage. Avoid excessive filing, as it can weaken the nails over time.
Gentle Nail Care Practices
Protecting nails during everyday activities is crucial for preventing damage and breakage. Wearing gloves while engaging in chores like washing dishes or gardening can shield nails from harsh chemicals and abrasions. Avoiding trauma, such as picking at the nails or using them as tools, helps maintain their integrity and appearance.
Natural Nail Polish Alternatives
Conventional nail polishes often contain toxic ingredients that can be harmful to nail health. Opting for non-toxic nail polish options or creating DIY nail polishes using natural ingredients can enhance nail beauty without compromising health. Water-based formulas and herbal-infused polishes offer vibrant color and shine without the use of harmful chemicals.
Nail Care Supplements
Supplements can complement a healthy diet and support nail health from within. Collagen supplements provide the necessary proteins for strong, resilient nails. Herbal supplements containing ingredients like horsetail extract and bamboo silica can promote nail growth and strength.
Herbal Nail Soaks and Baths
Herbal remedies offer natural solutions for enhancing nail health and appearance. DIY herbal nail soaks using ingredients like chamomile or lavender can nourish and hydrate nails, promoting growth and resilience. These herbal treatments provide a soothing and therapeutic experience for both nails and cuticles.
Nail-friendly Lifestyle Habits
Incorporating nail-friendly lifestyle habits can further support overall nail health. Reducing stress through relaxation techniques like meditation or yoga can prevent nail damage caused by tension and anxiety. Getting adequate sleep allows the body to repair and regenerate, promoting healthy nail growth. Regular exercise improves circulation, ensuring that nails receive essential nutrients for optimal health.
Nail Care During Seasonal Changes
Adapting nail care routines to seasonal changes is essential for maintaining nail health year-round. Protecting nails from environmental stressors such as extreme temperatures and humidity fluctuations can prevent damage and breakage. Adjusting nail care products and treatments according to seasonal needs ensures that nails remain strong and resilient in any climate.

Eco-friendly construction using bamboo
Look at any city with a high population density and you will see structures made from stone, steel and concrete. Although these construction materials have stood the test of time, gravel and sand are in short supply, and wood is expensive. Since the beginning of 2021, the price of construction timber has almost doubled – a figure that presents the entire building industry with new challenges. Wood is currently still the go-to alternative building material, but bamboo’s characteristics put it in the shade.
The plant can be cut down and processed after only three years, whereas oak, maple and beech need to grow for several decades. Although bamboo poles are hollow on the inside, they’re similar to timber from trees in terms of stability. Unlike wood fibres, however, bamboo fibres are always arranged lengthwise, which makes them particularly sturdy, resilient and flexible. It’s bamboo’s combination of the compressive strength of concrete and the tensile strength of steel that makes it so attractive as a building material. Thanks to its structure, it’s often even able to withstand hurricanes and earthquakes without any difficulty.
And the raw material has another decisive advantage in that it’s one of the most sustainable building materials available today. Its sustainability credentials start with its growing conditions. Because bamboo is very resilient, environmentally damaging pesticides and fertilizers are not needed. When the bamboo plant is harvested, it isn’t killed. Instead, part of the stalk is left in the forest, stimulating the root system and prompting the plant to regrow. Because it grows so quickly, bamboo is an almost infinitely renewable resource. In addition, unlike building materials like steel, concrete and even wood, bamboo has a negative carbon footprint. The plant absorbs up to four times more CO2 than some tree species. As a result, bamboo is paving the way for eco-friendly construction of a kind that has previously been virtually impossible and is thereby helping to advance the field of green architecture.
Natural shapes and materials have been brought together in the heart of the Mexican jungle. The impressive Loom yoga temple demonstrates the flexibility of bamboo as a building material. The architects from the CO-LAB design office chose this raw material because it’s sustainable and can withstand the power of a hurricane. (Photo: Co-Lab Design Office)
A modern twist on bamboo: a tower block containing 200 flats is due to be built in Vancouver, Canada, this year using modular construction methods. What’s special about it is that it will be built largely from bamboo and wood. (Photo: Urban Agency)
All the buildings at the unique Green School in Bali were constructed almost entirely from bamboo. The Arc, designed as a community wellness zone and sports hall, is composed of a series of intersecting 14-metre-high bamboo arches spanning a 19-metre space and connected by grid shells. Best yoga accessories in 2023
Yoga is a popular form of exercise that combines physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation to help promote relaxation, balance, and overall wellness. While yoga can be practiced without any accessories, using the right equipment can make the practice more comfortable and effective.
Here are some of the most common yoga accessories and their benefits:
Tumblr media
Yoga Mats: A good yoga mat is essential for a safe and comfortable practice. It provides cushioning for your joints and helps prevent slipping on the floor. Mats come in a variety of materials, including PVC, rubber, and natural fibers like cotton and jute. PVC mats are the most common, but many yogis prefer natural materials for their sustainability and grip.
Blocks: Yoga blocks are great for modifying postures and providing support during challenging poses. They can be used to extend your reach, reduce strain on your joints, or help you maintain proper alignment. Blocks come in different shapes and sizes, including foam, cork, and bamboo.
Straps: Yoga straps are used to help you stretch deeper and hold poses for longer periods of time. They are especially useful for people with tight hamstrings or limited flexibility. Straps can also be used to support the back, hips, or shoulders in restorative poses.
Bolsters: Bolsters are large cushions that can be used to support the body in various postures, such as seated forward folds, backbends, and savasana. They can help reduce tension in the muscles, promote relaxation, and provide a deeper stretch.
Blankets: Yoga blankets are versatile props that can be used for warmth, cushioning, or support. They can be used as a pillow in sav asana, a cushion under the knees or hips, or a layer to keep you warm during restorative poses. Blankets come in different materials, including cotton, wool, and recycled fibers.
Eye Pillows: Eye pillows are small cushions filled with lavender or other calming herbs that can be placed over the eyes during relaxation poses. They help reduce stress and promote a sense of calm and relaxation.
Yoga Towels: Yoga towels are designed to absorb sweat and provide a non-slip surface on your mat. They can be used in place of a regular towel or placed over your mat for added grip.
Overall, using yoga accessories can enhance your practice and help you achieve deeper, more effective stretches while ensuring your safety and comfort. It's important to choose high-quality, sustainable products that meet your individual needs and preferences.

*BANKBENDS WITH SUPPORT OF BLOCKS*
How to Use Blocks to Enhance Your Yoga Poses
Yoga provides many props to enhance your ability to express a yoga pose. One of the most popular yoga props to use in class is the yoga block. Made from foam, bamboo, wood or cork, the block is often used as an extension of the arms, but can also support the back, head and hips to help the body settle into a pose.
Furthermore, yoga blocks:
Support range of motion, thereby shortening the distance between you and the floor (“bringing the floor closer to you”)
Assist in establishing correct alignment.
Help make yoga accessible to beginners and to those experiencing injury or other physical limitations.
Bring awareness to properly engage and support muscles in a specific pose.
Can be placed at the low, medium and high positions to accommodate more or less support.

Fighting Flirty:Sparring
First, never let it be said that Steven Quartz Universe and Connie Yasha Maheswaran do not take their responsibilities seriously, because they do.
They really do.
In terms of Steven, it's not uncommon to see him up and about Beach city or Little Homeworld, just checking in to see how everything's going. It's not obscure to hear about him visiting Homeworld and seeing if any gems want to be a part of a new settlement on earth or trying to help gem-kind integrate with the galaxy...Opposed to hollowing it out. It's an exhausting job but it's worth it.
For Connie, along with her college work and responsibilities to her family; the young woman has made herself indispensable to both Homeworld and Earth, thanks to her partial (slowly becoming full-time if funding comes through)  directorial position at research and development. Combing through results reports of current experiments, proposing and conducting new ones, updating successful ones and reworking previous failures for future successes. All for the dream of uniting and advancing both humanity and gem-kind through understanding, teamwork and technology.
Though, nothing is easy and while Era 3 is peaceful...It’s relative. There are threats out there that would like nothing more for everything Steven, Connie and their allies (Human, Gem and otherwise) built, to be destroyed. Which makes such things as the dojo like 'room' of Little Homeworld R&D's sub-basement, relevant even now..
Created via gem magic similar to the gem temple, with it bamboo like floors that was a football field long, walls adorned with melee weaponry of all types and have it's own artificial atmosphere to match the actual weather, the room has been a perfect way to keep from overworking.
It was made to give both gems and humans incentive to keep up with the physical aspects of their life, while trying to change the world through science.
Some slept in it as it drowned out a lot of the sounds within R&D, others use it as a place of meditation, while others use it for its intended purpose..
Thus times like this are a normal occurrence.
"Ok, Heartberry, " Steven called out as he hopped in place dressed in a pair of yellow trunks and white tank top. Wrapped around his knuckles, wrist, palm and fingers was athletic tape, same with the ball of his feet, ankles and heels. A topknot held by a blue band. " How are we gonna play this?"
"I'm gonna kick your ass and you're gonna love it."
Steven scoffed out a laugh as he turned around to the source. "AWWOOOO!" he gave a wolfish whistle, "You just might be right. Starting with mental warfare?"
"Battles are won before they are fought." Connie sagely teased.
"Sun-tzu? I wanna say Sun-tzu."
"Sun-tzu, indeed Mister." Connie smirked. "I am impressed."
"That's my aim...So, I'm guessing that little number is to ensure your victory." Steven looked up and down her form.
"Well that, and your gaze over me." Connie flirted as she stretched a bit, snickering at the hungry eyed hybrid.
Her outfit was very simple. A royal blue halter top leotard, a pair of mid thigh, yoga shorts of the same color with red trim. She too wore athletic tape in the same way as Steven, and had her hair in her normal braid, with a pink scrunchy at the very beginning of it.
"You didn't have to do all that just for my sight. You could have worn your normal Kalaripayattu attire."
"Yeah, but it's way too hot in here for those.. They’re kind of weighted and they hold sweat." She gave him a playful stance, her hands folded behind her back as she stretched. "This is much lighter and sweat drips off my body."
"Plus, a lot more distracting. Gonna have to watch where I grab you."  Steven noted with bitten lips.
"Are you complaining? Cause your tone..It doesn't match your face, Mister." Connie gave him an accusative side-eye.
"Just taking notes. Beautiful, wonderful,  sensual notes. Don't wanna make a...Mistake"
The small husk in his tone made Connie toes flex. "Oh, I'm sure you would enjoy that." She licked her lips.
Steven nodded with a smirk, "Happy accidents, though I can't be blamed." He grinned darkly, "You effectively cut down the number of ways I could pin you."
Connie nodded hand on her hips as she stretched back. "That's the point, making it harder for you to win."
He walked over to her grabbing her over the waist, getting a giggle as she rested her hands on his chest "Well, l already have you in my arms, right?" He teased before blowing gently on her neck.
"Bi~iisky" She felt herself tremble under his air, giggling in pleasure. "It's already sweltering in here…Making me hotter, isn't fair." She melted running her hands slowly through his hair.
"I just wanna make you sweat." He whispered playfully in her ear.
"You're certainly an expert on the matter..." She breathed deeply as she pulled him closer, her eyes trained on his topknot.  She sighed feeling his hand run up her back, to her shoulders, caressing her nape.
"Your touch always makes me...Nope!" Her eyes widened as she pushed him away leaping back herself. Holding the back of her head, feeling her scrunchy still in place. "You cheeky biscuit."
"Can you really blame me for a preemptive strike."Steven responded with a laugh at her blushing face. "After all battles are won before they're fought, right?"
"Don't you dare spit the art of war back at me!" Connie stated as she marched towards him, eyes ablaze in determination and competition.
"It's true though, right?" Steven walked towards her looking smug." Besides, you were the one who was eyeing my top knot. Can you blame me for making a move?"
In the center of the sweltering dojo, the two stood. The only light in the room being noon sun, that gently graced the room and them through blinded windows.
The only smell being the slight sweat coming from them and the humidity of the room itself.
The only sounds being the very faint machinery from one of the labs on the floors above and below and their own breathing.
"So, how do you wanna do this Heartberry?" Steven offered dipping close to her face.
" Same as always, first to retrieve their hair piece, or make the other forfeit, wins." She stood still and slightly parted her lips. in preparedness.
“Starting with a kiss?" he teased as he cupped her cheeks.
"Any other way to do it?" She cupped his own, pulling him closer.
Steven chuckled before she took his lips with her own. passionate, loving and telling. their tongues twisted as their lips brushed, and teeth gently nipped at each other. Their faces burning hot from the emotion and both inner and outer heats as slight moans and whimpers slipped out. They broke the kiss opening their eyes in tandem, giving each other a giggle of bliss, resting their foreheads on together.
"No Diamond state. Quartz strength is ok." She pecked his lips.
"No pressure points. or crushing blows." He returned her peck a bit more tenderly than hers, making her purr with a nod.
"Good luck." They shared one last kiss before slipping into a ready stance.
Steven's stance was unorthodox, with a lower center of gravity, his left foot in front of his body with his right pointed to the side and his hand waist height by his side.
In opposition, Connie's stance was similar to her sword stance. Her body lowered, her left foot pointed forward in front of her with her right following.  While she held her hands in the same positions she would if she had her sword. They were open palmed, held straight up as if acting as blades themselves.
The two stood in smirking silence for a moment, before Steven stepped forward expecting Connie to step back. He was slightly surprised to see her left hand shoot forward towards his hair, causing him to skip back out of her reach.  He scoffed as he returned to his stance
“Chu. Chu. Chu.”
Steven nodded his head at Connie’s kissing taunt, sucking his teeth. “Really, ok.”
Connie chuckled as she  moved closer, shortening the space in two steps . She  evaded a grab at her hair by shifting her body to the left before throwing a left jab to his chest only to be blocked back by his forearm. She followed through with a right palm to the body which was met with his own palm, resulting in a responding clap as they interlocked.
Steven took another swing at scrunchy with his free hand and was parried by Connie knocking his wrist upward with her own, before ducking an attempt at his topknot. He smirked mischievously as he swept the back of her knees, causing her to fall on her ass.
“Nice move.” Connie praised him with a grimace as he helped her up to her feet. Rubbing her butt when she was up.
“Thank you.” He gave her a healing kiss, taking the pain away and enticing a little pleasure, releasing her hand and stepping back a bit before getting in his stance. “ You’re ready?”
Connie nodded before sliding into her own.“ Whenever you are, Mister.”
Unlike before, there was no waiting between the two. Steven missed a sidekick toward her hip as she dropped into a split, smiling up at his dumbfoundedness.   .
“Impressed” She teased, her chin in her hands as she bent forward on to the floor. giving him a flirty grin.
“That and a little hot.” he breathed deeply “ Have I ever told you I love your body control.”
“You have...showed me a few times too.” She chuckled. “Always nice to hear and with that being said.” She spun her body around tripping him off his feet, while she kik-up to hers. She smiled a bit worryingly at how he landed on his back. “ You ok?”
“ Come on, I’m sturdy and you know that.” Steven gave her a reassuring grin as he climbed to his feet and slipped into his stance. “ Ready to continue when you are.”
“That’s my man.”
Steven couldn’t help the blush and the feeling of pride towards the adoration in her voice and gaze as she got in her ready stance.  That quickly changed to alertness as Connie shot forward with a jab toward his face and stopped an inch away, as he put up a guard with his left arm. Only to feel her palm collide with his left side causing him to yelp in surprise and take a step back as she gave chase, putting him on a complete defense as Connie kept up the assault; attacking with quick, precise hits against his blocking.
Connie cocked back ready to steal his top knot.  She grinned as left hand shot  forward ready to grasp victory, and to lose balance when he slipped to her right side  and feel the pop of his knuckles on her back.
“ Hey!” She turned around tying catch him only feel two more pop on her thigh and hip. “ Hmmph! She turned again and felt a nip on her neck “ Oh no you don’t!” she chuckled before backing away and being chased by Steven.
“ I’m coming, Connie. You can’t run!” He taunted as he took a playful swipe at her waist.
“Yes I can!” Connie responded as she continued to evade and block by each swipe. “But I won’t!”
Steven was surprised when she dipped very low to the floor and moved forward, passing his grasp, grabbing his arms as she stood and pulling him to a kiss. Steven felt himself melt temporarily forgetting the current situation and kissing her back, his hands clasping.
Giving Connie the moment she needed to grab his tank top, sweep his feet from under him, and pinned him under her straddling him and never breaking the kiss.
"Ooh.You really got me falling for your kiss." Steven joked as he broke the kiss, tickling under her arms, making her laugh and release him. He nipped her nose before  rolling to the side and pinning her under him, his knees against her thighs keeping the spread open as his hand held hers down.
"Cheater." Steven reprimanded with the devil's grin.
"I prefer the term, tactician." She responded in kind. "Shouldn't wear such a grab-able shirt."
" Ohh! Really? " He nipped her neck, making her squeal in laughter.
"No.. Not that!" Connie struggled to get away from the affectionate assault. Pushing against his hands as she tried not to melt under him. "You won't break me, Universe. My will is a strong as my…",
She was interrupted by his nips becoming a bite and suckling.
"Hhhash~Hmmmm." She felt her body relax under him." No….This is ...So sweaty and hot and nic--I mean unfair."
"This is strategy." Steven teased in her ear, watching her wither in pleasure and slight embarrassment.
"Not gonna surrender!!!." Connie roared as she raised her hips off the floor.
In a feat physiological mastery, Connie lifted him off his feet as she tossed them both in a somersault that resulted in Connie straddling Steven just below his chest with their hands still interlocked
"What was that?!" Steven stated in dazed amazement. That soon was coupled with an excited caution as he looked up at her domineering gaze and grin. He gulped when she licked her top lip, hungrily. The way the light gave her a casting shadow didn't help either.
"Tenacity, determination, years of physical conditioning, constant healing both magical and not.. "Her voice was cool and direct. She got close to his face with a predatory sneer. "And the need to make.." She kissed and sucked on his bottom lip causing some trembling.
"You.." She trailed down to his windpipe, her voice getting more seductive as she let go of his hand.
"Yield." She stated as she moved lower straddling his stomach and squeezing his sides with her calves, bringing her free hand down to his exposed gem.
"Ooh.. that's  so.." He brought  his head back as the pleasure of her mouth on his throat and the cool tender touch upon his gem racked his body. "This..this is much. torment..:
"Oh.." She taunted as he kissed him. "Are you gonna break under me?"  She rubbed his gem with her palm as if it was being polish, making him moan into her mouth..which in term made her follow suit.
"No." He growled in defiance as his free arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her in to deepen and take the lead of the kiss.
'No..No no.. I'm not losing to him!' Connie raged inside fighting the want to melt. Rubbing his gem with more affection taking care to give each facet attention, while turning the drawn out make-out to a battle of nips and quick pecks.
"Give in to the affection." Connie ordered as she kissed his trembling lips, the pleasurable feeling of his hand moving to her seat, causing her heart to race.
I want to.. really I do but.. " He pinched her hip causing her to yelp in surprise.
"Hey now! That can wait.-" .
"No,  it Can't!" He stole a kiss before rolling her over to the side.
The two broke the kiss, breathing deeply, before chuckling.
"So..can this be considered training?" Steven asked, feeling how red his lip was.
"I think it's good grappling and resilience training." Connie chuckled, "Though.. I don't know if I have a high resistance to you and your affection."
"Says the one who threw me off guard with a kiss and then rubbed my gem." He retorted, bringing her into a cuddle.
"It's my game plan. The perfect Steven game plan... Weaponized love."
Steven arched an eyebrow at the prideful woman."Really?"
"Yup." She dug into her pocket to pull out his blue hair band. "See, I won."
Steven checked his head with his free hand and true enough, his topknot was gone. "Mischievous  Minx", he teased before digging into his trunks and pulling out her pink scrunchy.
"When!?"  Connie demanded tapping his chest.
"When you let go of my hand to mess with my gem." He spoke proudly.
"Ha, you lose! Got it before I tossed you over." She grinned at his dumbfounded face.
"What?! When!"
Connie blushed before she sat up rubbing her neck. "While you were giving me such a good time on my neck. I slipped it off with my teeth." She said with a boast.
Steven pursed his lips before giving in to his pride. "Such an amazing partner I have." He stood on to his feet, before helping her up as well.
Connie nodded. "Of course. Anything less than that is not permitted."
"Now is that so." He grinned, pulling her close.
Connie rubbed his cheek, giving him a loving gaze. "You give me your all and more, everyday Mister." She answered matter factually, before giving him a peck on his forehead. "And you deserve what you give. Just glad that it's me who gets your adoration and gets to give it back to you."
Steven pursed his lips in disagreement. "I don't know, it seems like I'm the lucky one in that scenario. " He teased resting his foreheads on hers.
"Boy, I will fight you on this.” Connie gave him a toothy, amorous side grin, folding her hands upon his nape.
“Oh really?” Steven snicked as his voice dropped to a seductive baritone.”
“Uh-huh.” She laughed.
“Well we’re in a dojo, Berry” He gave her a kiss “Bring it on.”
“Ok Mister, you asked for this” She ‘warned’ as she led him down to mat, ready for another round of sparring.

Courtyard :An Architectural Element of Design
Tumblr media
The central courtyard is often referred to as an atrium and is a unique feature that can give your home an abundance of natural light. A central courtyard in your home can provide peaceful privacy for the family, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It is also a perfect way to make the most of the beautiful Indian climate! Courtyards add warmth and a point of difference to a client’s home. Designing courtyards is in line with philosophy of providing a solid connectivity with nature while responding to client needs and their vision of beautiful, livable spaces. Courtyards can be the heart of a building where natural light and warmth permeate throughout the space.
Central courtyards are not only aesthetically beautiful but offer many benefits to the home such as better ventilation. The open space allows for air movement within the home and natural breezes can be substituted for expensive air conditioning in the warm Indian summers. The security of a central courtyard is also an added bonus as clients can open all of the windows and doors during the day and night without worrying about intruders.
Tumblr media
Whilst central courtyards are not new to the building industry, they are a classic feature being the Traditional homes from across the globe have used designs with interior courtyards for thousands of years, but have fallen out of favour in recent generations. From the earliest example of a courtyard house in 6000BCE, to the ancient Roman Domus, to the Chinese Siheyuan and the Sahn of the typical middle eastern home, the courtyard house has a long history that crosses regional boundaries and spans many climactic zones. Recent research has focused in on the many benefits of these traditional designs; these homes not only have sustainability advantages, like passive cooling, but also create major benefits for their inhabitants health and social life. Can we capitalize on these traditional models by incorporating courtyards into our modern architecture?
In warmer climates, courtyard homes are particularly sustainable, allowing for greater ventilation in the home and cooler spaces of outdoor refuge than the neighbouring streets.
Tumblr media
“Courtyards work with any style of home, from modern to classical, but the designs are particularly popular in warmer climates, where courtyards induce airflow. When designed properly, one end of the courtyard can be 15 degrees cooler than the other end because of cross-ventilation.”
Courtyards might not just make our lives greener- they may also make them happier. In multi-family housing, a courtyard can be a “central component to promote social and cultural health and happiness of residents.” In a research, one notices data both qualitative and quantitative data on courtyard garden house designs, and concluded that it is the combination of “a sense of privacy with a feeling of community” that is the reason for the social success of these spaces.
But How can we adapt traditional courtyard spaces into our contemporary design work? In what ways can we utilize the inherit powers of the courtyard to improve our housing designs? because Courtyards are an Architectural Design Element. When I teach my students of Interior Design I ask them to plan a residential space as per the bio-climatic requirements of Nature so as to increase the well-being of the family residing in that house .
Tumblr media
Architecturally, courtyards add a design element that creates connectivity between interior and exterior space. The open air oasis, a rarity in dense cities, provides a multi-functional extension of living space ideal for entertaining, gardening, yoga and star gazing, right in the middle of a restless city. Unlike a yard, courtyards carved out in the center of a building provides a private tranquil space for homeowners, or buffered space for apartment dwellers in courtyard apartments.
Connecting with Nature
Living in a hyperconnected environment has been scientifically proven to induce stress, feelings of loneliness and people yearn to have more connectivity to the world we live in. Natural environments and having access to outdoor space can have a positive impact on physical and mental health and the benefits of connecting with nature can improve well being. We have to be in contact with our natural surroundings to acquire an intimate knowledge about them and in order to protect them. We will need a paradigm shift so that a building becomes a member of the landscape, collecting solar energy from the sun for its electrical needs while sequestering carbon and producing oxygen, harvesting rainwater for potable uses and maintaining an edible forest, and supplying waste water to on-site wetlands. Our bid for courtyards is a small step forward toward our vision of this harmonious future, which looks to a city teeming with life, not the sterile projection of Wall-E and other climate disaster movies.
Tumblr media
Every house can benefit from blending with nature, and in the current urban environment, there’s no better way to achieve this than with internal gardens for modern Indian homes. Besides adding a stunning feature to the interiors of the house, an interior courtyard garden provides a relaxing retreat where one can refresh one’s energy amid the soothing greenery. In modern Indian homes, it’s easy to incorporate an internal garden seamlessly with the help of glass walls, sliding doors and retractable ceilings.
For houses, if one wants specific designs such as interior courtyard designs — Kerala style, with a traditional courtyard around which all the rooms of the house wrap, it’s essential to incorporate it into the model at the time of planning the house. Of course, it’s possible to install simple indoor gardens even in small apartments.
Tumblr media
The most straightforward idea for an indoor garden design in India is to have a low-maintenance rock garden with hardy plants that don’t require much care. All you need is a small area, either off the living area or a bedroom, where rocks and plants can be artistically arranged to create a lovely green patch. Ideally, glass windows or a sliding door should allow you to view the garden from within the room to bring in the freshness of the garden into the home’s interiors.
Another idea is to have a Japanese indoor garden design with pebbles, a bamboo plant and a small fountain that not only don’t require much space but also are cost effective and easy to maintain. A Japanese garden is minimalist in nature, making it the perfect internal garden for a modern home.
Tumblr media
Green walls or vertical gardens are a new trend in Indian homes as they only require a bit of wall space to bring greenery into any room. These gardens are also relatively maintenance-free if they come with automated-watering systems.
While many old bungalows in India have a traditional courtyard in the centre, often with a water feature or a tree, modern apartments have an insufficient area within to incorporate a large courtyard. A smart solution is to create small interior courtyard designs, with artificial grass, potted plants and even a customised water feature in a corner. Adding artwork and sculptures on the wall as well as seating can convert the area into a cosy space where your family will love to relax in the evenings or early mornings.
Tumblr media
The design can be implemented even in a balcony or terrace adjoining the living room by u When thinking of internal gardens for modern Indian homes, one of the most common designs that come to mind is the traditional central courtyard, like the ones seen in old houses in Kerala. While it might seem like the design won’t suit a modern style home, one can adapt it by using the square or rectangular well in the centre with a glass roof overhead to protect it against the natural elements. In a modern house, using French doors or picture windows that frame the views of the courtyard from within the home can make it appear that the greenery is an extension of the room, adding a calming touch to the ambience.
One can carry through certain traditional elements in the interior courtyard garden by planting a large tree or installing a pond with floating flowers in the centre of the courtyard. Some pieces of traditional furniture such as a simple wooden swing can look just as good even in a modern house. To keep the area maintenance-free paving blocks of concrete or spread along the walls to add to the greenery.
Tumblr media
Using sliding glass doors to separate the areas without blocking the views of the garden.
For homeowners who value sustainability when building a home, one of the best ideas is to retain the existing trees on the plot of land and design the house around it. Imagine having a tall tree with its branches running through several rooms in the house! You can extend the idea by enclosing the tree within glass walls to create an internal garden with pebbles and potted plants. This type of interior courtyard garden design not only adds a unique feature to the house but also allows nature to thrive amid the construction as the glass doesn’t block the sunlight, thereby allowing the tree to grow well.
Tumblr media
Since space is limited in most modern Indian homes, it’s an excellent idea to identify dead spaces that can be converted into a lovely internal garden. Usually, the entrance corridor or the stairwell are common areas where space gets wasted. By designing the area to incorporate an interior courtyard garden one can enjoy the benefit of having a splash of green inside the home.
Tumblr media
It doesn’t take much to build an internal garden under the atrium at the entrance or beneath the staircase. All you need is a few planters, pebble borders and niches or shelves on which more potted plants can be placed. Of course, you can take it a step further by creating layers such as a water feature with floating lotuses or koi fish and covering it with glass tiles to make a stunning entrance for the home.
Tumblr media
While it isn’t impossible to create internal gardens for modern Indian homes, it’s essential to design the space so that you get the most out of it. It’s advisable to consult a landscape architect or professional who has the knowledge and experience to suggest the best elements that can be a part of the interior garden in your home.
Advantages of a Courtyard
Tumblr media
Architecturally, courtyards make perfect sense. They give the residents of a home a private outdoor space, which is secure and usable throughout the day. With its natural ventilation, a courtyard helps the house stay appropriately warm or cool without the need for heaters and air conditioners.
In a warm climate, a courtyard can bring down the house’s temperature, saving on energy bills. Several courtyards also include natural cooling elements as a part of their design like a fountain, a basin, an artificial waterfall, thick external walls and double-glazed windows.
Tumblr media
Interior courtyards are very much in vogue today for the above reasons. They provide an aesthetic means of spending time with nature in the midst of a busy schedule. And the best part is that courtyards work with any style of home — modern or traditional.
So from growing an indoor garden to creating a serene corner in a crash and burn busy lifestyle, interior courtyards can do so much to enrich your life. Here are some more advantages you can enjoy…
For overall mental and physical health, human beings need to see the night sky every so often. In a densely designed city, it’s truly a luxury to steal a quiet moment of private reflection in your own courtyard. There are many benefits of a courtyard that go beyond aesthetics. Some of the benefits include:
Light
Tumblr media
An interior courtyard centrally sits under the open sky, flooding the space around it with daylight. Every room that opens into the courtyard gets its dose of sunlight during the day, helping you with energy savings.
The benefits of being exposed to this optimum quantity of sunlight are well known, and even during a daily workday, you’ll benefit by simply having your morning tea in a natural refreshing environment. For courtyards that are located in the front or back of the house, the adjacent room can be the kitchen or living room, which is most often used during the day.
Centrally located courtyards in urban setups may be surrounded by high walls restricting the entry of light. In such cases, you can use exterior reflectors on your windows and doors.
Ventilation
Tumblr media
For centuries, interior courtyards have been created to aid the purpose of natural ventilation. Ventilation itself serves many purposes. It provides fresh air, improves oxygen supply and dilutes odours. When creating a courtyard, keep room for cross ventilation, which offers the maximum cooling effect.
Courtyard ventilation also has passive cooling effects during the night, which brings the overall temperature of the place down. In addition to this, a courtyard filled with plants and a garden area helps keep the house cool even in scorching and arid climates.
Separate Spaces
Tumblr media
A courtyard acts as a space separator within the home. A courtyard between the living room and bedrooms, can work to increase the privacy between these areas, not letting casual visitors walk in unwittingly. It provides a break in the décor too, with each section gaining a new personality that goes only with the central flow.
Tumblr media
A courtyard between the kitchen and living room is a perfect place for entertaining guests as well as unwinding after the day’s work.
Tumblr media
Connects Spaces
A courtyard can also be a connector of spaces within the home, providing accessibility to different parts with ease. If you have a courtyard in the front or at the back of your house, it not only acts as an entrance or exit point, but can connect to more than one room depending on your courtyard architecture.
A centrally located courtyard, on the other hand, can provide access to multiple rooms in the house, making movement easier.
Privacy + Security: Instead of hauling in the grill every night, a courtyard allows you to truly go wild with your ultimate vision for a secret garden and teak Adirondack chairs or fully decked out outdoor kitchen. Likewise, plants and edible gardens will be out of reach from hungry critters or neighbors tempted to snack on your tomatoes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Therapeutic Properties: As a society we suffer from nature deficit disorder. Studies have shown that spending mindful time outdoors can reduce stress levels and strengthen your immune system. Putting down the electronics and spending intentional time in the privacy of a courtyard and allowing yourself to get lost in your surroundings can help you reach a greater sense of calm.
Possibilities: Unlike a yard, open to lookie-loo neighbors, an enclosed courtyard becomes another room in your house offering a private respite space. Being open to the sky, there are no height limits, and it can be layered with trellises, plant life, hanging cocoon chairs, party lights, or whatever you please. Or, you can go big and create your own outdoor spa!
Recreation: Letting kids or pets play outdoors is a little less intimidating and can provide a greater sense of security with a courtyard. They get fresh air and you get piece of mind. Likewise, adults wanting to unwind in a private setting without missing out on a lovely summer night can get ahold of both! Depending on lot size, it’s entirely possible to install a pétanque court. How glorious would it be to spend warm summer evenings with friends, and playing a spirited game of pétanque more like playing with marbles in India ?
Courtyard Kitchen Extension
Tumblr media
In India , we relish the short window of warm temperatures, and when the sun is shining you probably don’t want to be trapped inside, busy with meal preparation. Extending the kitchen to the outdoors can provide a fresh perspective that can boost culinary imagination and create a nature-inspired gathering space for family and guests.
There are a variety of outdoor cooking options to consider when you’re planning an outdoor kitchen design. Whether you’re an aspiring master chef or a true grill master, installing a grill, smoker, and wood burning oven trifecta can navigate your gastronomy quest throughout the year.
Landscaping
Imagine being able to walk out your back door and wander into a green cloaked paradise teaming with birds and butterflies. With little effort or expense, it’s possible to create a lush landscape reminiscent of local garden nurseries. A mix of edible, native and perennial plants can bring interest and layers of visually stunning plant life to your doorstep. Native plants are usually low-maintenance and drought tolerant and tend to attract beneficial insects, such as pollinators, and colorful butterflies. Depending on the health of the soil and sun orientation, edible plants can be planted directly into the ground and provide a healthy dose of vegetables throughout the summer. Having fresh herbs and summer vegetables available just a garden shear snip away can be so rewarding! If the soil situation is suboptimal, using a variety of containers, planter boxes or raised beds are great options and have the added benefit of being mobile so they can be placed along the sun’s path. A more extravagant landscape plan would include shrubs, trees and an irrigation system to lessen the amount of labour and time spent with maintenance. Although, there are times when I find solace in the simple task of watering plants. With a courtyard, you have the option to enjoy the refreshing joy of being amidst greenery without having to look for it in far flung jungle reserves and nature resorts. Simply head to your courtyard to rejuvenate your eyes with the sight of green — it’s beneficial for health.
Tumblr media
The great part of having a courtyard is that you can enjoy what different seasons bring in. From blossoming flowers under the summer sun to the hundred hues of green during the rains, to the select blossoms of winter, you can enjoy it all without stepping out from your home.
Designing and Building a Courtyard
When thinking about utilizing a courtyard in your design you should take the following into consideration: budget, convenience and placement of a grill, shelter (is an overhang possible to protect and shade windows and doors?), rainwater collection and drainage, irrigation, hardscape, landscape, built-ins, running utility lines, and lighting hook ups.
In all a Courtyard is an exceptional microclimate Controller and can be a great Stress Reliever for the families .

Design Meets Wellness: Yoga Studio Design
At the first glance, designing a yoga studio may seem like a less demanding task, since it’s a space that usually requires very little use of furniture — but some features are essential; from great floor material and colour choices to a workable layout. Below we look at the basic guidelines that can turn any environment into a true oasis of calmness, peace and relaxation.
Space Consideration
Well laid-out space is important in yoga as it is in many other practises. When you plan out a design for a studio, space is one of the major elements that should be considered first. Simply put, place great emphasis on how the physical, psychological and spiritual needs of yoga guests can be met spatially.
Circulation
Great yoga studio design includes good flow within the building itself. Consider movement from the main entrance, to the central practice area as well as support rooms. Is there a reasonable flow within the space that encourages comfort and flexibility?
Air quality
Having pure and fresh air is important to consider since breath is a basis for development in yoga. Make sure there is cross-ventilation across the room for your students to enjoy each class to the fullest. For a successful yoga studio, you need a renewal of oxygen inside at all times to maintain a healthy, quality environment.
Acoustics
Great interior acoustics doesn’t necessarily mean absolute silence across the room. In fact, in many cases, a great many students and teachers of yoga believe in the idea to progress in spite of the ambient noise. The sounds of nature are believed to enhance certain different practices — a reason why some yoga studios integrate indoor courtyards or gardens.
Flooring material
The ideal flooring shouldn’t be too hard or too soft. The typical and perhaps excellent flooring material you will see in many yoga studios are laminate, hardwood, cork and bamboo. What special is, both cork and bamboo have an advantage in the co-friendly field, which is highly valued by yoga studio visitors who are conscious about preserving the environment. Avoid marble, carpets, tiles, vinyl, linoleum and concrete flooring.
Style and décor
Because yoga is such a soothing concept, the best atmospheres for it are ones that boost your sense of calm and help you step into a reflective and healing frame of mind. Details as basic as the room colour scheme and indoor plants can lend a layer of focus and relaxation to slide your attendees into a memorable yoga experience.
Source
Colour
The colour choice of your room can be mirrored throughout all elements of your yoga practice — like your soft furnishings and yoga mats — to give you an overall sensation of the colour’s effect as soon as you decide to tend to your daily yoga habits.
Although there might be one specific colour that may stand out to each individual as soothing, there are plenty of across-the-board hues that can be noted for their calming qualities.
The most popular colours include white, shades of purple, light tones of pink and blue, and earthy green. If you wish to introduce bright colours, do so sparingly, ideally through accents such as yoga mats.
Greenery
Nature is always a great inspiration for the mind, body and spirit. Introducing calming greenery can quickly turn an average space into a real healthy sanctuary. Essentially, potted plants purify the air and enrich it with fresh, clean oxygen.
Decor
Lastly, less is more when it comes to studio aesthetics. Don’t clutter it up with distracting or exaggerated tchotchkes and wall art. If there’s a particular theme you feel can accompany your practice, perhaps choose a few visually appealing pieces to add visual interest to the overall décor scheme.
Illumination and ambience
The innate connection between nature and yoga practice is one that’s unbreakable. Lighting has the primal power to set a mood and hijack our sense of space and time. In a yoga studio, natural light can evoke feelings of “nurturing and love”.
Source
Ensure that the practice space receives plenty of natural light during the day, preferably from multiple directions so that you can take advantage of sunlight no matter if you’re practising in the morning or in the afternoon.
However, if you must use artificial light, use warm colours to imitate sunlight. More importantly, lighting in the room should be dimmable to allow the instructor to control the brightness and ambience depending on the type of class.
Select your props
Although you don’t need much more than a yoga mat to practice, restorative yoga poses typically involve a lot of props. Some can even further your design vision by making your practice more accessible and comfortable.
Besides providing optimum stability and cushioning, a high-quality mat will last for years to come. Blocks, straps, bolsters, sandbags and eye pillows require a uniform shape and sturdiness to support you fully as you sink into comfortable poses for long, luxurious amounts of time. They all come in various unique styles, so choose wisely to add to the overall design theme of the room.
Get started!
Whether you want inspiration for planning a new yoga studio renovation or building one from scratch, working alongside an expert interior designer can bring all your design goals fruition. From the choice of decorative style right down to interior fittings and lighting solutions; a yoga studio designers will provide all the necessary interior services to deliver a space beautiful enough to lull any highly-stressed individual into a state of nirvana.
Source
Final Thoughts
Every yoga studio design is different — but they all have a common goal… to create a safe place for calmness, reflection and healing. The experience of relaxation and well-being are deemed to match better with a flexible space layout, a soothing colour scheme, warm material choices and all the essential elements that bring together the perfect yoga studio interior. These are just the few design basics that should be considered as a great foundation to start from.

Mattress for the homeless
Ok so, it's 12.45pm UK time. And I just came up with an idea for a mattress for homeless people.
Many homeless people don't have a comfortable warm bed to sleep in, and during winter that can be deadly.
I once heard that sleeping on cardboard can help reduce the risk as it acts like a buffer to keeping in heat. "You can't warm up the earth".
So, my idea was a mattress that can be rolled up and carried. It can help the homeless stay warm, and hopefully feel a little more comfortable instead of sleeping on a hard floor.
I wish this design didn't have to be made in the first place, but homelessness is a massive problem.
Tumblr media
So the base of this mattress, the part that hits the floor. Bamboo. Just like a sushi matt. It's resilient, natural, and easy to roll. Perfect.
Tumblr media
Next is something like a yoga matt. Thin, blocks cold, easy to roll. Great.
Tumblr media
For the top part of the mattress. A hexagonal material, not sure what it could be mad out of, but the shape will allow for a bit of a spring. So it could provide some comfort.
Tumblr media
It's be something like this. But hopefully look better.
Mattress for the homeless.
Too bad I'm not rich. Otherwise I'd invest in having it researched and perfected.
