Day 19: Velchid

This kinda marks the spot where I started doing more and more for each entry and making life so much more difficult for myself haha I started like adding extra little bits beside the main piece just for fun which made the pressure of posting on time a lot tougher (I eventually said fuck it and just posted them late cuz who gives af haha)

I honestly love drawing full bodies of Rhinestone because she wears such bright clothing and accessories all covered in stickers and charms (her miku keychain is based off of one I own myself reeheehee) and she’s always pulling a funny face

Stark contrast to Velvet with her neat pearl jewellery and tidy hair and delicate acrylic nails. I try to make each part of her outfit somewhat matching and colour coordinated because I feel like her and Veneer are so anal retentive about that sort of thing like they FREAK if something is like slightly off like their shoes and top are different shades of black or whatever- exhibit A, Velvet’s witch costume which is all matching colours as well as her lovely nails and ring

Then there on the bonus pics is Vels tormenting the smelly boys as well as some Velstone angst, they’ll be ok

QUITE PROUD OF THIS ONE, would you believe me if I said I finished it back in mid September because I was so excited for Halloween? I didn’t know I was going to be doing an inktober event this year so when I saw the vampire prompt I shoved this in a box to wait until then to post it

Veneer couldn’t decide between being a cowboy or a vampire for Halloween so he had the genius idea of combining both into one costume… a vampire cowboy! Cowboy vampire- either works. Veneer gives me HUGE vampire energy, just the inherent cuntyness of a vampire mixed with Veneer’s annoying teenage sass is chefs kiss- plus he’s as pale as a vampire anyway so no need for makeup

And his smelly hairy werewolf bf that he can drag along with his lasso and order to bite people

Kidding the prompt was Orchid but it was referring to the same Rageon so

This is a really big one haha it was just an excuse to vomit some of my Rhinestone headcannons onto a page and it was sooooo fun

Starting off at the top, she’s a big video game person, only things she spends her hard earned cash on are video games and cosplay materials but she’ll never admit it.

Secret Easter egg moment there of her and Veneer from Jobiesayscheese’s fanfic (my favourite ever fyi, you should totes read it), the girls who know, know.

Sea urchin Rhinestone appearance! Will definitely be seeing more of her because I’m so proud of my furry designs for them all haha omfg, she makes rattling sounds when she moves, particularly when her spines aren’t tied back- I’m sure you can imagine the sound they make, sort of like hollow bamboo being clinked together mixed with jewellery tinkling

AND HER COSPLAY YIPPEE YIPPEE YIPPEE (another ten points if you can name all the cosplays) she’s as hands on as it gets, nothing is bought, everything is hand sewn and glued and all that, she does everything by hand with her own patterns (most of the time), she even managed to convince Velvet to let her make a costume for her one time so they could have a couples cosplay. She also does literally every kind of craft out there and is always knitting or crocheting something for her friends or gf to wear like a cute jumper or a warm winter hat (she’s a giver) or felting holiday decorations as gifts :3c

Run! Sports Festival! Committee Rush! Event Story Summary

TL;DR: The Miya Girls sports festival is soon approaching. Saki invites Haruka to join the planning committee for the event, along with Emu. Though the rest of the committee members just wanted to do the same day as last year, Emu and Haruka manage to convince them to let them plan a new day where everyone, regardless of ability, can have fun. Through Emu, Haruka, and Saki's hard work, the rest of the committee was motivated to plan an incredible day.

On the day of the event, all the teams compete in events like ball toss and bamboo tug-of-war. Emu competes in the three-legged race with Mafuyu, and though she's intimidated by her false smile, the pair end up winning.

One of the students slated to run the final relay race ended up hurting their leg, so Haruka stepped in for them. Emu reassures her that things will be fine: they've been working together for so long, their baton pass will be great! When the event eventually comes around, Haruka managed to close the gap for the second years, successfully pass the baton to Emu, who narrowly won the final stretch against Mafuyu thanks to Miku's cheering (who had been hidden in a nearby tree). Immediately after the win, Emu runs to hug Haruka, joined by Ichika, Saki, and Honami. Though Haruka is sad that the day is now over, Emu shares advice from her grandpa about the fun waiting in the next day.

Chapter 1: A classmate finds the penguin eraser Haruka accidentally dropped, but gets flustered upon learning it belongs to the idol. Saki and Ichika soon approach and ask if she'd like to get lunch, to which she agrees. Saki begins talking about the upcoming sports festival. She bonds with Haruka over never having the chance to do these things as kids. Saki has also joined the planning committee for the event, to which Haruka is surprised by the lack of popularity around. Saki asks if Haruka would join the committee, too. Since the rest of MORE MORE JUMP! are ok with it, she agrees. Meanwhile, Emu dances down the hallway, singing about the sports festival.

Chapter 2: Saki and Haruka are disappointed by the lack of creativity within the planning, as they've only been using ideas from the past year. Suddenly, Emu speaks up about how she wants to come up with a whole bunch of new ideas so everyone, athletic or not, can have a fun time and leave with a smile! However, the other committee members aren't willing to put in the time at shut her down. Haruka decides to support Emu anyways and proposes reviving old events to make things more manageable. The committee eventually relents and lets them (and Saki) create a schedule.

Chapter 3: Emu and Haruka go to the gym storeroom to check supplies. Emu's excited to be inside, since she'd only been able to look through the window before (which happened to be two stories up). Haruka asks why Emu keeps mentioning shows, so she explains her job at Phoenix Wonderland. Haruka admires the goal of making others smile and decides to go see a show one day.

Saki gives the rest of the committee members the advertisement posters, while Emu hands them the completed event list. She and Haruka will keep working on a manageable schedule so even busy students can compete in something. Once the two finished a while later, Saki handed them a completed participant list. The hard work they'd shown motivated the others to pitch in more.

Chapter 4: Emu goes to practice the three-legged race with the upperclassmen. She's partnered with Mafuyu, who despite being popular with the others, scared Emu with her false smile. Honami comes over to say hi, immediately noticing Emu's nervousness. She assumes it's because of Mafuyu's strong reputation and cheers them on.

Later in the SEKAI, Miku complains to KAITO about not seeing Emu much recently. Coincidentally, Emu pops into the SEKAI at that moment. She's come to tell Miku all about the fun stuff she'd planned. Miku decides to come as a cheerleader since she can't directly participate.

Chapter 5: The day of the festival arrives. Shiho, Kohane, and Minori participate in the ball toss, but Shiho can't get herself to throw the cute animal themed balls. Some students gossip about how well Shizuku and Airi did in the bamboo tug-of-war, too. Miku pops by with hand-made pom-poms to cheer Emu on, so Emu places her phone in a special tree so Miku can see everything without being detected.

The time for the three legged race has arrived. Though Emu is still scared of Mafuyu, she wants to do her best for Miku. The pair ended up taking first place. For just a moment, Emu thinks she's seen a true smile from Mafuyu, but the false one returns the moment the others come over to congratulate them.

Chapter 6: A student accidentally injured their leg and was no longer able to compete in the grand finale relay race. Saki takes them to the nurse, and Haruka takes their place as the substitute. Though she's a bit nervous about the baton pass, Emu reassures her that it will be fine, since they've been working together on the committee for so long. The two practice a bit before the big event.

At the start of the race, the first years are in last but slowly catching up. Haruka takes the baton and closes the gap even more. Haruka's pass to Emu was flawless, leaving an intense race for the finish to Emu and Mafuyu.

Chapter 7: Thanks to Miku's cheering, Emu managed to just barely win the race for the first year team. She immediately runs to celebrate with Haruka. Haruka tears up, happy she decided to return to school. Ichika, Saki, and Honami all join in on the celebration. Emu then goes to retrieve her phone, where Miku congratulates Emu on the win. Emu thanks Miku for the support and tries showing her around the school, but gets called over by the cleaning committee before she can.

Chapter 8: Saki invites Haruka to her celebratory dinner party after they finish cleaning up, to which she accepts. When cleaning with Emu, she admits she's sad by the day being over. Emu tells her that her grandpa once said the fun is waiting for what lies in tomorrow, so even though today is done, there's still much more left to do! Haruka laughs, since Emu reminds her of Minori.

A few days later, the classmate that had gotten injured hands Haruka a limited-edition Phenny keychain as a thank you, and also asks if she'd like to hang out together one day.

Goretober Days 13-16: Insides

Content Warnings: Murder, Robot Gore (with human traits), Blood

“And… cut! That’s the last take! Everyone let’s wrap it all up and get going!”

Once the director finished, everyone rushed to clean up the set. The video for this song was particularly morbid, but a fun shooting for Gackpo. A couple of crew members helped him out of the bathtub of fake blood and to his dressing room. He peeled the soaked button down and slacks off, heavy with synthetic blood. His hair was drenched as well, but that would have to wait until he could shower. For now, he would clean off as much as possible and head home.

His phone lit up with the sound of bamboo dropping in a deer scare. Someone texted him. He tied his hair back, then checked his messages.

Hey, you still at the set? I saw Kaito earlier >_\<

I have this really fun idea !!

Gackpo had a mischievous glint in his eyes as he texted back.

Ok, you know how you used an axe in that song? You told me after filming the other day that it was real.

Everyone was still busy cleaning up the set, so they wouldn’t notice Gackpo taking a few things. He changed into a spare costume (it was so annoying getting the blood out of his uniform last time), buttoned the shirt to the top, then slipped out to the props room. There weren’t a bunch of consequences to vocal synths using weapons since injuries could be fixed with a respawn, so the one he used in filming was a real axe. It wasn’t too heavy either, and the department did well with decorating.

After saying goodbye to the crew, Gackpo walked back to school. It wasn’t far from the studio, only 5 or 6 minutes. After all, all of the music videos filmed there were for fellow synthloids. He waved to Gumi and Lily as he walked through the gates. The school was emptying out now, but Una’s voice could be heard over the chatter of students heading home.

On the second floor he saw Kaito’s head, teal twintails, and the top of a bright blue horned hat above the dwindling sea of students. Gackpo ducked into the Kaito Hate Club Clubroom and pulled his phone out to text Una.

Even from inside the clubroom he could hear Una say goodbye to Miku. Una whined about something, then two sets of feet approached.

“Come on! You have to see this!”

“Okay… but I’m not sure about this.”

Una slid the door open, tugged Kaito in, and slid the door closed again.

As if on cue, Gackpo emerged from the shadows and raised the axe. Kaito turned at the last second in horror before the blade crashed down onto him.

The axe went through Kaito’s body, splitting it cleanly in half. In the onslaught, blood sprayed around the room. Now, the blood pooled at the floor and the innards of the two halves were free to see.

The fresh muscle tissue was tender, intertwined with silver wires and multicolored cables. Open veins stained opaline bones with crimson as the blood drained from the still-warm body. His organs were mainly intact, save the cut through the center. If synthloid bodies didn’t despawn after a few hours, the carcass would have been a fine source of grisly samples.

The slice through the brain exposed the internal matter and wires that strung the body together. It was a faded pink, though it too was dyed red with the blood that flowed around it. If Gackpo missed and hit the heart instead, there would have been a chance Kaito could still see through his eyes before he respawned. The damage to the head cut the wires, cutting off his brain activity and vision with it.

His heart beat a few moments before it stopped. It was a duller grey than the wires, more of a brushed steel, but now as useless as the fried cables connected to it. It was a gruesome sight, but after some time the only thing left would be the bloodstains. The blood would be gone after a week at most though— it was just as synthetic as the blood Gackpo sat in earlier.

Una giggled and shook her arms with glee. “That was amazing! Smack in the center!” they shouted. Gackpo wiped the sweat from his brow and laid the axe against a desk stacked with anti-Kaito posters. He smiled as he admired his handiwork.

Kaito would be respawning any minute now, and it wouldn’t be too long until he ended up on the floor of the clubroom again. Another tally for the club’s Kaito Kill Counter.

Alright so I'm watching the anime The Way of the Househusband on Netflix and writing my thoughts as I watch. This might be a tad unhinged, but here we go. As always if you liked this content feel free to be me a coffee. Also, yes, I do know that there a multiple episodes in each episode but I'm going to number them by how they're contained and labeled through Netflix as that's how I'm watching it :)

Season Two Episode One

Association fee (what association?), that's an intricately drawn tie, tulips The food!, Also Masa referring to Miku as sis is development A cat cafe, how many part-time jobs does Tatsu have?, aww the little stray and it's likeness to her late husband Typhoon croquettes, honey your raincoat camping episode, white stuff=marshmallows, banna and marshmellows sounds good, again with a cook off the crepe master and the nerd having an encounter with each other.

Season Two Episode Two

The eight dragons, love the titles he gives them Also the tea test to be undercut by the flower arrangements. Flower arrangement classes, this guy already has far too many hobbies/part-time jobs! Tatsu the tablesetter… I love how Tasu and Miku teaming up on the visit to the hospital. wow that nurse, guess that everyone is a critic. Some good points but like they’re not professionals. Season Two Episode Three

Sibling Rivalry and Food Truck Rivalry and Minor Tora Lore Drop Such drama over donuts Gin’s first snow aww Its too slippery, have you not heard of snowsalt? The igloo! Dried chilli powder for popcorn!? Tatsu, Miku, and Masa geeking out over their niche fandoms. The Lion Queen, really LOL The police gaining a hamster, at least they didn’t get hurt this time One with nature huh Yes ladies they are morons Coffee yes so good, very relatable What is this bad luck streak?

Season Two Episode Four

I love Masa’s blue golf outfit!! A dagger’s length apart, lol What is this opening, ah its gardening They’re plants they’re not going anywhere On the other hand…Monkeys. I almost expected for them to beat poor Masa up Humans can eat bamboo, huh learn something new everyday I guess Countering spice with rice, huh the geek liked it… Tatsu doing a house inspection on Masa lol cute wreaths okaaay. avender, cypress, and peppermint. Yesss. Poor Masa Needle felting. dude someone, not me, needs to make a list of all the hobbies this guy does Oh, Cat Adventure!! Yeah cats bite, not usually that hard are we saying the cat has powerful bite or geek has weak constitution…hrmm

Season Two Episode Five

Oh Miku Lore Drop!?! Oh, ghost story episode must be for around Halloween Time I’m calling it that Tatsu is going to be the best story. Uh, wait a curse and crabs? Oh a shopping horror and forgotten food No one is good at ghost stories, got it Ok, red eyes to emphasize this kid’s creepy is a nice touch, what was that carrot story?? Yes, where gardening gloves people… weeds WILL slice up your hands Yes Vinegar stinks…Also that info dump on apple vinegar Yep these two will fight over anything, its how they show their affection apparently Love how the kids are wondering how the adults have so much energy and not vice versa Shop Locally if you can people it keeps small shops open, also if Tatsu says they’re quality knives I believe it. Of course Miku would notice the sweater lol Poor Gin

I got some miku stuff (posters and a calendar), as well as figures strewn about. they go wherever I can fit them lol. and drawings from 10yo. and plushies everywhere. but no there's no specific theme. just shit I like

Kinkakuji

Home to the golden pavilion that lays in the middle of the lake… pond? Lake? Anyway, it was a quick visit, however, it was a nice garden. It mounts up a lot actually then it mounts back down? 

I would say the connection to modernity would be the gold-ness? Of the pavilion lol. A way to show off the ever growing wealth of the time? 

Tea Ceremony

The Tea Ceremony afterwards felt similar to when we visited the Imperial Gardens. The host was very insightful of the whole process as well as explaining in ways that wouldn’t hurt our heads. 

We got to eat mochi first, as per order before tea. Upon receiving said tea we learned the manners on how to drink and present. Saw some news reports on our way out which praised this special English offered Tea house. 

Ryoanji

Ryoanji is another famous spot, similarly around a lake like Kinkakuji, this is the famous spot around the Rock Garden. This was another fast walk but not as fast as the walk around the lake. 

 It was a hot day so at the bottom almost everyone bought ice cream or a drink. 

Arashiyama + Bamboo Forest

Arashiyama is a bigger step to the past, similar to the layout of Kiyomizudera in Kyoto. The Bamboo Forest spans many acres. Inside there is a shrine dedicated to Ebisu and there are Rickshaw runners for tourists. 

Outside is the tourism street which also leads to the bridge with an amazing view of the mountains around regardless of time. Once again there were collaboration or official media stores which offered merchandise from Hatsune Miku or Sumikkogurashi.
