Willow Creek Ballet Studio (40 x 30, Willow Creek)

Upon the old streets of Willow Creek stood a weathered saloon bar, which had become a relic of days gone by. Recognizing its potential, a retired ballet dancer made the decision to purchase the establishment with the hopes of rekindling her passion for dance within its walls. The Ballet studio consists of a pantry for its students and staff, a small recital stage, and two ballet studios upstairs. I updated my Ballet Studio build and placed it on Willow Creek instead. But in general, the biggest thing is just messing around until you develop a workflow. I really think I'm still just a beginner at animation and I have so, so much more to learn. The biggest help when working on animations for the ballet mod has been having quality reference videos, focusing on the feet and how the root bone moves from pose to pose.

Thought I'd drop by with a little post and update!

First and foremost, as always, I have really been wanting to open my game, but have about zero time this time of year! I am slowly working my way through final edits on the book before handing it off to my betas. I have been too tired late at night which is my normal time to write so I've had to get up early to squeeze in a few child-free moments every morning. I have about 1/4-1/3 of the book left to print and edit and update the copy on my computer. I guess that's okay though considering one of my betas does Nanorimo every year so she won't be able to even consider reading for me until that's over! I'm just super super anxious to get it done and handed off and on to the next phase!

As for my little simmies, I have some unpublished saves on my computer so I thought I'd share some of the more colorful screenshots I have from those! First up is Quackenbush Island, by one plumbbob to rule them all, a tiny world like the kind I've been into lately :) Enjoy the randomness with (you guessed it) another randomized population!

What would a Sims save be without a housefire?

As with redwood harbor, using a randomizer to select traits is so much fun! Gotta love a girl who walks around in a fur coat and gloves all day!

It's quite a lovely world! It is tiny though, so I went around and added lot types and furnished the shells of several community lots to give my sims plenty to do!

Oh, yeah...Quackenbush is the land of really long noses. Like every sim practically wound up with a super long nose. It just adds to my endearment for them :)

Oh, yeah...unfortunately several of the sims in this save are super mean spirited too! Should make for some hijinks! They may not like each other, but they do like...

Costume parties!! What is this?? A ghostbuster clown??

They also like the ballet studio I built...particularly if they're dressed as...robots?? Oh dear!

Hey friends! It's me again! I just wanted to post some screenshots of a new build I made! I was feeling inspired by some pictures of an Earth ship home on Pinterest.

I haven't furnished it yet, but I was planning on uploading it to media-fire for download. It has lots of CC and some store content (the glass roof pieces are from the ballet studio lot on the sims 3 store) So I hope that's okay.

This lot has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a garage, pond, and some outdoor balcony space on a 35 x 30 lot.

Grace Dance Studio is owned by Madame Cecilia Grace, a well-known dancer, choreographer, master ballet teacher and performer in Windenburg. This beautiful dance studio is home to both competitive and non-competitive dancers and provides training to help students and passionate dancers accomplish their dance goals on and off the stage.

About the lot: 

This lot is created for the r/thesims bi-weekly challenge and this week’s theme is Barbie Inspired. Since Barbie and The Sims are both part of my childhood I thought I would give it a shot. 

The house is pretty much inspired by Barbie: Life in the Dream House  and Margot Robbie Takes You Inside The Barbie Dreamhouse along with the revamped Barbie Airbnb. I really wanted to incorporate a bunch of things that were included in barbie houses/sets such as slides, pet stuff, clothes, etc. I spent a good two days on it after researching and looking at a ton of pics on Pinterest (Here’s my board for the inspo). I know its not aesthetic ~ but I really did have a fun time building this. 

FIRST FLOOR: 

The first floor is just the basics - living room, bathroom, kitchen, etc. I mostly went with the pink and purples since pink is Barbies signature color. You may notice some cat and dogs decal in the kitchen and that’s because I remember in my Barbie houses and in the Margot Robbie Video she mentions the 2D art within the set design so I thought incorporating that would be perfect and add some magic touch to the house lol. 

The backyard consists of a pool, outdoor kitchen, dance floor, and dog park (you may change this for horses when the pack is released). The slide is fake and cannot be used. I saw a video of the Barbie Airbnb and in the Barbie movie where there is a fake pool so I thought it would be cool to add that by the real pool. The garage has a karaoke area so your barbies can sing and dance! 

SECOND FLOOR:

The second floor is the patio and Barbies room. For some reason, I can’t find the rest of the photos so I’m sorry about that. Basically, Barbie’s room is split in half. One side with her bed and the other is a bathroom. In the set design video, I saw the fake shower and I thought it would be cool to add to her room. I know I added a real shower but I couldn’t figure out a way to make a “fake shower” without people being confused if they download it so I added a real shower. barbie does have a private balcony with couches and a TV. Finally, she has a patio with tables, a fridge, and stove so barbie and her friends can make food and then “slide” down to the pool. It’s my favorite part of the build :) 

THIRD FLOOR:

Barbies Closet! This was my favorite to build :) I tried to incorporate so much from the movie, sets, and TV shows! There is also a vanity that isn’t shown in the pictures. 

BASEMENT:

Here is the basement! The basement consists of a dance club, a movie theater, bathroom number 3 (not shown), gym (not shown) and a ballet studio (not shown). I did not add any barre to the ballet studio. There is a Sims 4 barre mod you may add to your sims 4 game. If not,  you may change that to another room if you wish.
