Real shame Naga and Wavern are dead. If they had been alive when the Bakuoopsie event happened, no one would judge them for being powerless when everyone else they would've met before is powerless as well.

Because I could see Naga, Dharak or whoever fuming they want to battle Drago and his Bakugan allies again, unaware of the complete reset (not to mention Wavern in the Perfect Core, who'd see her bf having become a human next time there's a telepathic conversation)

*bakuoopsie: the bakugan without legs triying to figure out how waking works, the pyrus ones forgetting theyre not fireproof anymore, the aquos forgetting they cant breathe underwater anymore, the ventus and all those who could fly forgetting they cant. everyone struggling with their new sizes too, because the bakugan are used to 2 sizes but neither are human sizes and the humans are usually locked in one zise that chnages over time not ping ponging on 2 very different scales.

I've read asterisk anon's ask and Omggggg. A suggestion:

the chase leads to Vestroia while the others either try to reason or don't know what Dan and Drago are choosing to do by running away.

Midway, they're interrupted by the Legendary Soldiers (who Ig were either strong enough to keep powers as humans or didn't transform at all), who pit them into yet another test: fighting their human selves to trick them into understanding why Dan and Drago want their new lives this way, then leaving them to choose

"After all, is this really so bad? We can battle any day on our own now, we don't have a real enemy yet and we'll be prepared to handle it, with help or by ourselves. Would someone who wished for this to happen really be considered so selfish that you think there's nothing more to it?"

Apollonir would handle Dan and try to help him and Drago think clearly about where they're going with this so that if they're caught, they won't have any regrets left. Making them fight Dan's human self and throwing replicas of Drago so that they can choose to restore things or accept the situation they're in as is.

i don't have much to add, unfortunately, beyond thinking this sounds really interesting lmao

There has to be at least one Brawler in the area who was like "finally my dream came true" when the Bakuoopsie happened, because there's no way one of those kids didn't grow up to be a furry/scalie

Awkward Bakuoopsie thought: the Brawlers having to roll off and explain that they'd rather take a bath with a tub (or a sink), as contrasted by their Guardians, still not used to the human thing, suggesting to clean them through licks like animals do (the alternative to the Bakumagi kisses lol).

For the Bakuoopsie AU, I had a funny dumb idea: Preyas reveals that back in the day, he wrote a fanfiction with this exact scenario (or like, the Reverse AU) on Marucho's computer so he's already prepared. Runo and Julie laugh at the suggestion before Dan admits he was asked to proofread it.

Dan: The plot was kinda solid and the characterization was nice

Shun, having also read it: It wasn't really my style but it was an interesting read

Alice: Shame it hasn't updated in years, I had so many headcanons about it

Not Drago being depressed he lost his powers and mostly feels like a burden now that he's a powerless human... and then Dan swears he'll be the one to handle it for him. They're a package deal after all.

feels like ms1 all over again :') drago does place a lot of his self worth on his strength as a bakugan but im sure he knows how to better deal w these feelings of inadequacy now. like you said, him and dan are a package deal, dan will tell drago however many times he needs to hear it that he's not useless 👌👌
